Oh shit I finally got polls!

alright everyone.

on one hand, if vampires (and spawn) are just built to rip and drain, then no probably not. if you somehow survive a vampire bite you’re still going to get flesh rot and fucking die. on the other hand, if they’re meant to keep people alive as a steady food source, then they’d have to have some form of wound care built in so that their beloved buffet doesn’t die from all the bacteria living in their corpse. on the third hand (which i’m borrowing from someone else don’t ask), the idea of a first hand vampire just furiously brushing their teeth to try not to kill their SO with sepsis is infinitely funny to me

since bards are notorious for flirting with everything in sight (npcs, enemies/bbeg, party members, etc), and are also typically very persuasive, does this mean that Obi-Wan Kenobi would be a bard???? please interact, people of tumblr, I need answers

What should I play???

I'm still pretty new to D&D, but my Adventurer's League group is training new DMs in a couple of weeks and so we've been asked to come up with some new level 1 characters I've already played:

human fighter

gnome rogue

sea elf ranger

gnome druid (in BG3)

half-elf cleric (but I barely knew wtf I was doing)

Looking to play a character who:

doesn't suck at level 1

I haven't already played

is 100% in the PHB (required)

I was thinking about a post where someone said that D&D fans will trick out the game to the point of running Dark Souls on Skyrim through mods levels of changes way before touching another system that is literally a much better, easier, and more accessible version of a game either because of Sunk-cost or being stuck in a place where anything outside of D&D has to be imported in where the PHB/DMG is available at Walmart. So I ask the greater Tumblr community of TTRPGs:

And I mean characters that you've put time into, not ones for oneshots or campaigns that sputtered out. Ones that you've had for a few levels, or whatever system equivalent you have.
