I might get hate for this, but I think Sevika is grossly mischaracterized in the Arcane fandom. Yeah, I get that she can be mean sometimes and she's great in a fight, but she doesn't live to fight, she fights to live.

Everything she does is for the good of her home. I don't think she enjoys working for someone who sells drugs to vulnerable people, I think she does it because she believes it's necessary.

And no, I don't think her parenting advice was a ploy to make Jinx spiral. I think it's insane that people think this instead of entertaining the idea of a brown woman as having complexities.

And it baffles me that people headcanon her as being mean to her partner or mean to people in general who have done nothing to her, when they animators go out of their way to give us shots of her being unbelievably soft.

On the Eyes of Bruce Wayne and Clark Kent: The Windows to Their Souls 🌟🦇🦸‍♂️

There’s something about eyes. I’m not talking about just their color or the way they shine in certain light, but the depth behind them. With Bruce Wayne and Clark Kent, their eyes tell you everything about who they are — even when they’re hiding behind a mask or a pair of glasses.

🦇 Bruce Wayne’s eyes are a perfect reflection of Gotham’s darkness. They’re haunted, sharp, always calculating. When Bruce looks at you, it’s not just seeing — it’s assessing. Those eyes have witnessed trauma, pain, and a kind of isolation that leaves its mark. His gaze is always vigilant, always looking for threats, always burdened by the weight of his past and the city he’s sworn to protect. In everything Bruce does, there’s a calculation.

But that’s not what’s most interesting.

No, it’s what you see when he lets his guard down — just a little bit. A fleeting look, a slight softness when he's with those he trusts (whether it’s Alfred, Dick, or even Clark). You can catch it if you pay attention. And it’s in those rare moments that his eyes show something other than the hardened vigilante: humanity.

🦸‍♂️ Clark Kent, on the other hand, has eyes that shine with warmth and hope. His gaze is steady, filled with the optimism that makes him who he is. His eyes have seen the best in humanity, even if the world has tried to make him doubt it. Clark’s kindness isn’t just about how he acts — it’s embedded in the way he looks at people. When he looks at someone, it’s like he’s already forgiving them for their mistakes.

He looks at the world with the belief that it can be better, that people can change, that love can win.

But, as much as his eyes reflect hope, they also hide a burden. There is a weight behind that kindness. There’s the pressure of being everything to everyone. He’s not just the hero, he’s the moral compass, and sometimes that becomes a lonely place to stand.

🌧️ Maybe that’s why Bruce’s eyes are more gray than blue. Not because they’re clouded or dim, but because they’ve been tempered by Gotham’s harshness. They’ve absorbed the grit, the shadows, and the unrelenting weight of a city that never lets you forget its darkness. His eyes aren’t just a reflection of what he’s seen, but of the battles he’s fought and lost.

☀️ Meanwhile, Clark’s eyes are a bright, hopeful blue — like the open skies of Kansas. They’re clear, unclouded by the world’s cynicism. His gaze reflects a life shaped by the warmth of family, by the wide, open spaces of his childhood, and by the belief that the world can be better.

Together, these two are often seen as opposites: Bruce, the man shaped by pain, distrust, and tragedy. Clark, the man of hope, compassion, and unshakable faith. But when you look into their eyes, there’s a shared burden. A shared humanity. And it’s in the moments where their gazes meet — whether it’s in silent understanding or in battle — that we see just how connected they truly are.

Loved participating in the Ben and his siblings chat but it also brought up some points on the brellies and their trauma! So let’s do a bit of a deep dive into all of them and see what makes up our umbrella family.

Keep in mind, I’m not a psychologist or anything, I’ve just finished a college class about it but I’m nowhere near an expert. I’m just going off things I myself know and what I can see.

First we’ll start with Luther!

Part 2: Diego

Luther:

Luther seemed to develop a dependency on Reginald? In the beginning, he never doubted him and he always stood by him. Maybe he was scared if he didn’t stay with Reginald, Grace and Pogo, he’d have nothing. He tried to keep the siblings together as the leader but they all left, feeding Luther’s abandonment issues. Then..Reginald sent him to the moon. Ik as a fandom when season 1 was the only thing we had, we all made fun of Luther for constantly bringing up the moon and why Reginald sent him there but it’s really important for his character. Luther went because Reginald told him to but eventually the loneliness got to him. Reginald never told him WHY he was there only that it was important. Later we found out it’s for Abigail’s corpse. When Luther came back and found out Reginald never opened the samples he sent, he thought he was sent for no reason. That Reginald just wanted to get rid of him. This fed into his abandonment issues.

This might also be why Luther got so attached to Allison and eventually formed an incestual relationship? He felt like he’d never find a normal girl to love so he went with the only girl to show him affection? (Not saying it was okay at all, I’m just trying to understand WHY he’d do it).

Then we also have his accident where he got the gorilla body. This is obviously body dysmorphia and he tries everything he can to hide it by constantly wearing long sleeves and gloves. In the comics he also binge eats during a depressive episode so..

In season 1, all of his decisions seem heavily based on “would Reginald do it.” Then after he discovers Reginald sent him to the moon for no reason he was told of, he had to figure it all out on his own but he couldn’t…so he went through a rebellion phase and went to party, taking some drugs and taking a girl home. He hated it so he never did it again. Then he just tried to keep the family together and went back trying to he the leader.

In season 2, he seemed to join an underground fighting ring 1. For money and 2. To get his anger and frustrations out. It’s a coping mechanism for him. Also why after the whole Allison thing, he let the guy beat him up. He thought he deserved it. Then Five sort of helps him out of the rut because he promised to get them home. So Luther tries to lead to Five and take care of him, like a good leader. He failed because now there’s two fives and they’re both insane.

In season 3, he’s completely infatuated by Sloane. It’s a girl he likes but he doesn’t know how to handle liking a girl so he’s going a bit…4th grade girl with her crush. Idk if it would count as incest because Reginald never adopted him in this timeline but they both call him dad and they both refer to Ben as their brother so..in a way, they’re siblings?…anyway, he’s coping with everything by focusing on Sloane.

In season 4 (which doesn’t exist), he’s trying to rebuild his childhood home to make it into something he never had. But he also was starting to have some self doubt, as we see in a deleted scene with him and Diego in the CIA where he asks Diego if he was a good leader. He probably had a feeling the end of the world was coming so he wanted just a bit of validation from his brother, to know he did a good job. Something Reginald would never tell him. And then, he died in his childhood home. The home he could never rebuild to make it nice. But at least he died with his siblings and not alone, like he feared.

So here’s Luther..feel free to add anything I missed! Luther is mostly based on abandonment issues, self doubt and body dysmorphia.

A eukarayote is an organism whose cells have a membrane –bound nucleus.

Animalia (An Animal) is a multicellular, eukarayotic organism. They consume organic material, breathe oxygen, have myocytes(muscle cells that contract to produce force) and are able to move, sexually reproduce, and grow from a hollow sphere of cells, the blastula (an animal embryo in early development when it is a hollow ball of cells), during embryonic development.

Chordata (A Chordate) consists of any animal with a flexible rod supporting their back side, most of which being also vertebrates. All chordates possess, at some point as a baby or adult, five distinguishable characteristics. A notochord, a hollow dorsal nerve cord, and endostyle or thyroid, pharyngeal slits, and a post-anal tail.

·         A notochord is a flexible rod of cells that forms the supporting axis of the body.

·         A hollow dorsal nerve cord is a tube-like structure that runs along the back of animal, and forms the central nervous system. The hollow cavity is filled with cerebrospinal fluid. Alternatively, this is called the spinal cord.

·         An endostyle is a grooved organ in the pharynx (a passageway in the head and neck that is both part of the digestive and respiratory system) of some chordates that secretes mucus to trap food and aid in digestion. A filter-feeding tool consisting of parallel longitudinal folds projecting into the pharyngeal cavity.

·         A post-anal tail is a tail that extends past the anus. Humans possess this tail in early stages of development, while still in utero.

Mammalia (a Mammal) is the class of vertebrates that possess mammary glands, a broad neocortex (the portion of the brain that controls sight and hearing), fur or hair, and 3 middle ear bones.  These bones are the malleus, the incus, and the stapes, also known as the hammer, the anvil, and the stirrup due to their shapes. These bones are separated from the outer ear by your eardrum. These perform important functions to help you hear. Mammals use sight and hearing as key sensory tools to navigate. Mammals often use an “up-and-down” motion with their spines for locomotion, not side to side. This is why dolphins and whales swim up and down, and fish swim side to side.  

Carnivora (carnivorans) are descendants of a late Paleocene radiation of mammals whose primitive food habits were carnivorous. This does not mean that all carnivorans are strictly carnivores. While a lot of physical descriptors can vary, all members of carnivora have simple stomachs. They are considered generally intelligent with relatively large brains. Their fur can be any color, but is usually thick and multi-layered.

Canidae (canids) are dog-like carnivorans, and constitutes as a clade (a group of animals with a common ancenstor). Caniformia is a suborder within Carnivora, and defines “dog-like” as having largely non-retractile claws, having longer jaws and more teeth than feliforms, and lean towards opportunistic scavenging. In opposition, feliforms are far more specialized for a strictly carnivore diet. Caniforms have single chambered or only partially divided auditory bullae (a hollow bony structure in the skull that encloses parts of the middle and inner ear), composed of a single bone, and the bulbourethral glands (responsible for producing pre-ejaculate) and vesicular seminalis (secretes seminary fluid) are always absent.

Canis is a genus of Caniforms distinguished by their moderate to large size, large and well developed skulls, long legs, and comparatively short ears and tails. They can be solitary or pack animals. They have a dentition whose arrangement is specific to Canis. In general, all species in this genus look and act quite similar to each other, but cannot interbreed.

Canis lupus, is a wolf. This species has several subspecies, all able to interbreed. Wolves are identifiable from other members of the Canis genus mostly by their size and behavior. A wolf is the largest in size of any member of the Canis genus, and is further distinguished by having rounder muzzles and ears, shorter torsos, and longer tails than other Canids. They are specialized for cooperative game hunting, and live in social family packs. They are extremely social, expressive, and monogamous. They are active at night, and native to North America and Eurasia.

A dog is a subspecies of Canis lupus, taxonomically referred to as Canis lupus familiaris. Meaning literally “familiar wolf” in latin, they are able to successfully interbreed with Canis lupus and other subspecies of the aforementioned. They are domesticated but still possess many behavioral similarities as Canis Lupus. They are highly, highly social, extremely expressive, extremely cooperative, and intelligent. The fact that they are domesticated is what caused them to initially separate from Canus Lupus as a subspecies, forming different physical features based on selective breeding by humans. Dogs frequently have larger eyes and floppier ears, but can exist in many different sizes and shapes. All dogs can interbreed regardless of their breed. A breed is a further classification beyond subspecies, in which the animals only differ in locality and physical features, typically having a lineage of similar looking dogs with a distinctive appearance that separates them from other dogs.

A Felid, of the family Felidae, are cat-like carnivorans. Cat-like, meaning they have retractile claws that are attached to the terminal toe bone, slender muscular bodies, and strong flexible forelimbs. They are digitigrade, meaning they stand or walk with their toes on the ground, and the rest of the foot is lifted. Their skull is shorter than a canid’s, with a round profile and larger orbits. Their tongues are covered in papillae, fine, cone shaped projections made of keratin. They are solitary predators and obligate carnivores, meaning their diet consists only of nutrients found in the flesh of other animals. Some scientists argue that they adapted towards an obligate carnivore diet because they cannot detect sweet flavors. Cat eyes are large and adapted to seeing in low-lighting, using a reflective layer of tissue in the eye called a tapetum lucidum. The tapetum lucidum reflects light back onto the retina to provide more light to photoreceptors in the eye. The eyes of felids are also particularly adapted for distinguishing movement in low light, with a high proportion of rod cells. They have 6x better vision in low light than humans. All cats share a broad range of vocalizations, including purring (which they can breathe through through both phases of respiration), hissing, growling, and sometimes roaring (though not all cats can roar). Cats also possess a Jacobson’s organ, or a Vomeronasal organ. It is located on the roof of the mouth, and is also present and functional in all snakes, lizards, cattle, pigs, dogs, and some primates. 

Felinae is a subfamily of Felidae of small cats with a bony hyoid. The hyoid bone is a horseshoe-shaped bone between the chin and thyroid. It is often called a lingual bone, or a tongue bone. The presence of this bone is what prevents some cats from having the ability to roar. The other subfamily of Felidae is Pantherinae, which includes cats that can roar like lions, jaguars, leopards, and tigers. 

Felis is the genus of small and medium sized cats native to most of Africa, Europe, Asia, and Indochina.  The word Felis means “cat, ferret” in Latin. Reginald Pocock has divided up the genus, compromising only the following cats, due to a genetic divergence that separates them from other felinae lineages. The European Wildcat (F. silvestris), Jungle Cat (F. chaus), African Wildcat (F. lybica), Black-footed Cat (F. nigripes), Sand Cat (F. margarita), Chinese Mountain Cat (F. bieti), and the Domestic Cat (F. cactus). Felis catus is a small domestic cat commonly kept as a pet, or free-ranging as a feral. The species is social but hunts alone. They specialize in killing small animals such as song birds, reptiles, and rodents, the latter being what led to their domestication by humans. Today, they are most closely related to a European Wildcat (F. silvestris), though some of the earliest documented tame cats were African Wildcats (F. lybica). Despite genetic selection by humans, many cats still possess all the same traits as their wild counterparts, including a Jacobson’s organ, large, pointed ears, the ability to see in low light, and its fast reflexes and hunting capabilities. However, domestic cats have a smaller skull and shorter bones than European Wildcats.  Their fur color may vary wildly, from solid white, black, and tan, to spots, stripes, and occasionally both, inclusive of other colors like orange, buff, brown-gray, or nearly any naturally-occuring fur color possible. The social behavior of domestic cats ranges widely as well, from friendly individuals to feral cat colonies based on groups of co-operating females. Cats territory size and range can be anywhere from just near their homes or miles away from a central point. Despite this difference in behavior, all male cats mark their territory by scent rubbing and spraying urine. Differing from dogs, cats traded an evolution of physical neonatal traits to behavioral neonatal traits, and treat adulthood with humans as an extended kittenhood, including meowing loudly, mimicking human cries, and displaying great affection towards their humans as surrogate mothers.

Question- In the 2nd chapter, when Kiwi gave that lie about coming from alcoholics to try to avoid drinking, but still took the sip, why was Peter staring at her while she took the sip, what was the significance of it?

Peter was onto Kiwi about the alcoholism. He knew she wasn’t being truthful and told Steve as much. This leads Steve to use alcohol as a way to subdue her during the back end of their trip, knowing she'd likely be unprepared to handle it.

It was meant to reveal that Peter wasn't just a passive participant. He’s attuned to Kiwi’s discomfort and actively assists Steve in maintaining control over the situation. He knows how to do so because he himself has put some of these ideas into practice.

That's why he was there in the first place. He's helping his bestie.

This brief observation becomes significant, setting the stage for how Peter's awareness and subtle complicity affect the power dynamics Kiwi will face with Steve throughout the story.

He's essentially meant to be a quiet danger.Notice how he doesn't outwardly engage with Kiwi much.

In this context, he's behind the scenes, and Natasha is working hands-on. These are the two Steve trusts the most to help him handle this situation with Kiwi. Sharon lost her spot when she tried to insert herself and let Kiwi leave.

Everyone else knows what's going on, but besides Sharon, they're there for the drama and to have fun. They don't really care. Maybe Bruce does to some extent, but not enough to help unprompted.

I’ve been working on weaving in these kinds of hidden clues, so it’s incredible to see readers picking up on them. I know they don't all make sense, lol.

I watched the blood sweat and tears mv multiple times, and there seems to be some discourse in the fandom over whether Ambessa miscarried. One argument agaisnt this is that the child she sees in her vision is Kino and shes pregnant with Mel in the video. Though I do think the fetus shown is definitely Mel, I don't think it's the same pregnancy.

The gold eyed fetus isn't shown until after we see Ambessa when she's older. In her first pregnancy, she looks like she couldn't be older than twenty, and we know based on Mel's age and how old Ambessa appears in Arcane s1 that she probably had her daughter when she was in her early to mid thirties.

Also, I don't think the stone child represents Kino. I think it represents her younger self, or maybe how she imagined her unborn baby would be.

Additionally, there's a squelch near the beginning of the video, before Ambessa's vision, that implies blood. Though there's a spear sticking through her, she's holding her belly. That context clue basically confirms to me that her baby didn't survive.

Another thing: when Ambessa sits down on her throne, there's a close up shot of her flat stomach. We all know that in Arcane, every detail is intentional.

One more thing: there's a spear in her. Even if it's above her belly, injuries often cause miscarriage as a means of protection to the pregnant person. When you need to heal, you can't have something sapping your strength from you.

Ishael (Ishaelic dialect: Ish'ale, pronounced as Išael, Hebrew: יִשָׁאֵל, romanized: Yīšāʿēʾl, lit. "God asks"; Arabic: Issāʿīl; Latin: Isael) was the son of Mahalath and Esau. Traditionally he is seen as the patriarch of the city of the same name.

The name "Yisha'el" existed in several ancient Semitic cultures, including ancient Babylon and Minæan. In the Amorite language it is attested as yaśaʿ-ʾel. It is a theophoric name literally translated as "God (El) asked", however, whose meaning is closer to "he who asks God".

In history, the prophet would have created a series of twenty questions to ask God, whose reflection on them revolutionized the theological understanding of those people.

The modern scholarly consensus is that the person of Ishael is largely mythical, while also holding that, most likely, a prominent political figure may have existed somewhere in Canaan in the pre-exilic period, who was named Yishael and was retro-projected in the biblical narrative as the son of Esau, later the city was renamed in his honor.
