One day you go to drop off his lunch at base as he has forgotten it.

You walk in, dressed in a light pink sundress with flowers on it.

White sandals on your feet, your toes painted white and your nails done in a light pink.

You walk in and go up to the receptionist. All eyes on you.

“Is Simon here?” You ask softly, a small smile on your pink lips

The receptionist looks at you confused, “Simon? Ma’am I’m afraid I don’t know who you’re speaking of.”

A few minutes pass and you’re waiting on the receptionist, when all of a sudden a group of men walk in.

Everyone stands up and salutes them except you, you look up from your phone and see your husband.

“Simmy!” You run through the group of men until you reach Simon, hugging him tightly. The room goes silent as everyone stares.

Some people whisper knowing that he’s most likely gonna push you off and say a rude remark but he doesn’t. Not to you.

He wraps his arms around you as well and picks you up. “Hey love,” He kisses your cheek and hugs you tighter. “What are you doing here?”

You pull away and hug his arm, smiling brightly. “You forgot your lunch, where were you?”

“Just a mission.” He grumbles, he holds your hand and without even saying bye to his comrades he leads you to his office.

Leaving everyone shocked and confused, they all thought that he was lying when he said he was married. And especially they didn’t expect his wife to be so gorgeous.

simon noticed how quiet you’ve gotten, demure smiles and puffed out laughs never breaching past the first trickles of giggles. you seemed distracted, eyes glazing over and your fingers pausing from where they were playing with the loose threading of your sweater.

well, technically it was his, but you’ve long stolen it from his bunk and simon truly would rather cut off his arms than ask it back from you.

simon waits, mulling over how to approach you, how to talk to you when you're obviously worried about something, but then you take the first step.

“simmy, why’re you with me…?”

the hesitation in your voice makes him ache, his heart wrenching itself from the cages of his ribs, threatening to smother him with his grief. he parts his lips open, a question on the tip of his tongue — "who made you doubt my love?" — but he holds himself back, choosing instead to take your hand in his.

you look up at the first touch of his fingers along the back of your palm, the pads of his fingers gliding softly, tentatively, before reaching to tangle them with yours. simon's breath hitches at the weak smile that tugs up at your lips, a wet sheen lining the corners of your eyes.

"oh, petal," simon murmurs, pulling your hand up to his lips so he can press a kiss along the ridges of your knuckles. he earns a wet giggle as you shoot him a shy look, surreptitiously holding back your tears, and simon briefly wonders if you can feel your nose twitching because of your aborted sniffles.

"i'm with you 'cause i love you."

he shifts when he says this, giving himself more room to use his other hand — greedily reaching forward to cup your cheek, thumbing the skin just underneath your eye.

"you understand?"

it is a gentle prodding, one that he hopes was able to hide his own hesitance because if you are doubting his love, if you are questioning why he is with you, then-

then.

does that mean he isn't showing it enough?

simon breathes in sharply, his own world caving in, and it is only the hold he has on you that keeps him tethered. his mind runs on overdrive, the what-if's a catalyst to his unstoppable spiral: what does he need to change? how else can he show you his affections? how else can he reassure you? what can chase away your doubts?

simon's fear grows, threatening to creep up from the base of his throat and to spill into the space between you two, but even so, he forces himself to stay steady. to hold onto you just as gently.

he can process this later on his own — confide in mactavish if he needs to — but right now, in this moment, simon needs to comfort you.

to show you that his promises — "yeah, sweetheart. you and me, together forever." — are true. that he will fulfill them.

that-

"yeah," you reply, voice less wobbly but not any less unsure. "i understand and trust you, simmy, i do! it's just that they..."

simon's gait changes, his trained ears picking apart your mumbled words.

'they.'

someone did this. someone had tainted simon's love for you; made you doubt his intentions. worse, someone made you doubt yourself.

"shh," simon coos, pulling away just a bit before finally picking you up from your spot beside him and dropping you gently on his lap.

your arms loosely curl over his shoulders, hips swaying as you make yourself comfortable on top of him. simon's hands find purchase on your ass, not really doing anything salacious, especially not with this atmosphere, but only holding on to ensure that you don't wiggle yourself to the floor on accident.

you're watching him with big doe eyes, looking all parts his princess even when sadness continues to reverberate from you. simon presses forward to rub his nose against your own, startling a squeak from you — a distraction before his careful questioning.

"tell me everythin' from the start, petal," simon whispers. "let me help you, yeah?"

"okay," you sniffle, nodding softly.

and you do: you tell him about noah thompson, the frat boy who couldn't take "no" for an answer and insisted on bothering you even when you told him that you were taken. that you were spoken for. you told him about noah who insisted that the perfect match for you was someone you could be with everyday — "he taunted me, simmy. asked why you're never around." — and, especially, someone younger. you told him about noah who, in his frustration at your continuous rejection, began to steer hatred your way; calling you "dumb" and "stupid" and "easy."

the last one was said in a hiccupped cry and simon was quick to wrap you up in his embrace, tucking you underneath his chin and murmuring promises and reassurances because you are not dumb nor stupid nor fucking easy.

gods. you are such a perfect girl, the sweetest of them all. the kindest. the loveliest.

and noah knows. that is why, shrouded in his jealousy after seeing the token of his affection be so protective of her lover, he said those things to you. but simon doesn't say that. he doesn't craft anything that could make it look like he's making an excuse for noah's disgusting attitude. so instead, he remains quiet as you pick up your words again.

because, finally, simon is presented with the root of your sadness: noah telling you that simon could only ever be with you for your body.

"i told him you couldn't be because if you're only with me for my body then, simmy, you would've left a long time ago! you wouldn't spoil me and mitty," simon almost coos at the new nickname you gave mittens, "and you wouldn't introduce me to your friends! you wouldn't take me out to see the penguins or go to the butterfly gardens with me. and that's just some of the stuff i remember because you do so much for me but he won't listen!"

simon isn't shocked by the sob that ripples from your lungs as you press your face on the crook of his neck, crying out in your frustration. simon's own lips wobble, his previous self-doubt now crushed at having heard you protect him with such ferocity. at having believed in him with such confidence.

he rubs your back with his palms, unwavering in the flow of his praises and comfort. he presses a kiss on the top of your head, then your temple, before planting multiple along your damp face. you try dancing away from his lips with another wet huff before finally collapsing in his arms in your exhaustion.

"i'm sorry for askin', simmy," you mumble. "i know you love me but-"

"s'all right, petal. y've got nothin' to say sorry for," simon replies, tightening his arms around you. "i'm glad that you came to me and asked. i promised you, didn't i? that we'll take things together, as a team?"

"mhmm," you say with a soft nod. "as a team."

"that's right. you and me: a team."

you crash on his lap and simon basks in the quiet seconds before carrying you to the bedroom. he tucks you underneath the sheets, making a mental note that he has to come back and at least wipe your makeup off and, if he takes a while, then wake you up just enough that you can wash your face.

but for now, he has things to do.

fishing his phone out, simon shoots a message to johnny: "find me something on noah thompson."

"how much?" johnny writes back.

"enough that he won't bother petal anymore," simon replies.

a minute rolls by when johnny messages him again, "we've got something." then, "will she know?"

simon hums to himself. "no," he writes back.

johnny doesn't send in any more replies, but simon understands. no more needs to be said, anyway. not when it's about you.

Modern Ikke - world download

The idea behind Ikke was to create a scandinavian/swiss inspired world, but most importantly a place where sims can go (fake) skiing and be surrounded by pine trees and snow. I took inspiration from the Swiss/French Alps (especially Verbier) so naturally all buildings go along that vibe.

I kinda made it my mission to leave CC to a minimum, so I used only a few cc items and the rest is from expansion/accessory packs or ts3 store. - So make sure to at least have Supernatural, Pets, Into The Future and Late Night in order for the world to show up properly.

Note: the world file is pretty much empty, so I strongly recommend to download the world AND the save file so Ikke can look the same way it does in my game. - I am going to share furnished lots too, but finding cc takes time so bare with me :p

All relevant info is under the cut, so please read it!

Fallen for You

Summary: Simeon x gn!Reader. You'd always had a crush on him, but things somehow get more complicated once he's fallen from grace.

A/N: This is really long, and I know the majority of you are Twst fans, but oh my gosh Inlow key love how this came out 😭

Simeon had fallen. And it was all your fault.

Well, sort of. Obviously, after spending so much time with his ex brothers in the Devildom, he came to question the politics of the Celestial Realm. But his main motivator had been his love for you!

Now no one was letting him see you! And he was furious. Lucifer had locked him in the attic moments after he'd arrived at the House of Lamentation in his newly acquired demon form. 

"You're gonna let me out, right?" He said, doing his best to smile sweetly at Asmo, who he knew had been eyeing him as he dropped off his meals.

"No, Asmo, don't give in," Asmodeus muttered to himself, slapping his cheeks as though to wake himself up.

"I'll behave, I promise," Simeon pleaded. "Just let me out."

"Ah, please don't give me those puppy eyes. There's nothing I can do!" Asmo cried, voice cracking.

"Why not? Asmo, c'mon!"

"I can't! You'll eat Y/N!"

"Only if they ask nicely," Simeon smirked.

"Hee hee," Asmo giggled in response, before shaking himself out of it, "No! I mean you'll literally eat Y/N!"

"I won't…"

"With all due respect, Simeon," Lucifer cut in, probably after being concerned about how long Asmodeus was taking, "you don't know that. It's very likely, in this freshly born demonic form, you won't be able to resist the temptation that their soul would offer you."

"Yeah, that's what I was trying to tell you! Y/N has the shiniest, most delectable soul I've ever seen. It's hard for us to resist just gobbling them up, and we've had centuries to work on our self control."

Simeon was clearly unconvinced. He loved you. Adored you. You would be safe with him. But the brothers clearly weren't going to budge on this. So he'd just wait.

  ….

"Y/N. I've been locked in the attic."

You'd been a little down lately. The last time you'd seen Simeon, he'd held you by your shoulders and gave you the saddest look, before telling you he had to go away for a while, but everything would be okay.

Considering before that point you'd been seeing him less and less as he worked on some secret research project, it was incredibly hard not to fear the worst. And now the brothers were clearly hiding something from you. And it was never a good sign if you couldn't even bribe Mammon to spill the secret.

And now you were hearing Simeon's voice telling you he was locked in the attic. You were pretty sure you were imagining it. You had to be. There was no way Belphie would ever let anyone be locked in his attic again, especially considering it was now his favorite napping spot.

But the radio silence from Simeon was starting to wear on you. It wouldn't hurt to peak right? Yeah you'd be disappointed finding it empty, but it might ease some of the angst you were feeling.

"Y/N, please! I need you to save me!"

So you climbed the stairs to the attic. And you couldn't stop your heart from racing when you saw him sitting behind the door like Belphie used to, dressed in his human world clothing.

"Y/N!" He stood up quickly like an excited puppy, before stiffening. His pupils expanded, and he smiled, before purring, "how I've missed you my little lamb. Come here."

You had millions of moments in the Devildom where you would look back and ask yourself if you were a dumbass. This would be one of those moments.

"Simmy? Where have you been?" You rushed to the barrier, knowing you could get through easily since you'd done it before, when you found yourself on your back, staring up at a not so angelic looking Simeon.

"You don't need your entire soul, right? I can have just a little bit, can't I?" 

Your jaw dropped as he leaned in, pupils blown wide and clearly no longer seeing you, before a blast of light threw him off you. 

"Y/N!" Mammon shouted, shaking your shoulders. "Are you alright?"

You were too dazed to respond. Which was fine because you would have been interrupted by a loud hissing sound. You turned toward the noise and saw Simeon  hunched, ready to pounce, dark wings fully extended behind him.

"Fuck," Mammon muttered, carelessly picking you up and running back through the barrier, just as Simeon hit it, with a loud zap.

"You all right, treasure?"

Now that demon(?) Simeon was held back by the barrier, Mammon was looking you all over for injuries.

"Little lamb, I'm sorry I startled you. Come back I swear I'll behave," Simeon purred, gripping the door frame tightly.

"Jus' Shud up, will ya?" Mammon shouted at him, causing Simeon to hiss again.

"Mams, what's wrong with him? Why is he a demon? What happened?" 

It had been a long time since you'd been scared by a demon form, but something about Simeon seemed so feral that you'd be a fool not to be scared.

"Little lamb, please, I need you!"

"Look, we'll talk to  Lucifer about it, okay, I don't trust him not to…

"You made me like this!" Simeon screeched out. "Now get over here and accept the consequences!"

"What?" You were so startled, you couldn't help but look at him, which seemed to satisfy him, because he was smiling again, as he calmly spoke,

"Those silly brothers have truly told you nothing, huh? Well, I fell for you, little lamb. Quite hard as you can see," he gave a wink that in any other situation would have flustered you so bad. 

"Now, be a good little lamb, and come back over here so that I can finally hold you. I'm calm now, see? I was just startled by how delicious you look. I won't eat you, I have control.  Please, I need to kiss you, I need to hold you, I need you by my side."

Your hand started reaching out to him of its own volition, before Mammon grabbed your wrist, and then slung you over his shoulder.

"This is above my pay grade," Mammon muttered under his breath as he began to descend down the stairs. You did your best to ignore Simeon's pained screech trailing after you.

    ….

Lucifer explained everything to you, and made you swear not to go back into the attic until Simeon had more control over his new form and abilities. And since he couldn't trust you to actually keep that promise, you had a brother with you at all times.

The first couple weeks were hard. He would call to you in the sweetest voice and ask you to come see him. He would promise you all sorts of things, just to get you to go back up to the attic.

It was so tempting. And after talking to a very bitter Asmo, you found out it was because one of Simeon's new abilities was to be very persuasive, similar to his charm. 

"It's not fair that Simeon can charm you and I can't," he pouted, before perking up again. "But don't worry, all of us are working with him, and we'll help him get it together. Pretty soon, you won't even remember angel Simeon, because Demon Simeon will be just as great!"

Eventually, Diavolo called you into his office and told you some good news.

"We think it would be okay for you both to meet."

"But before you get too excited," Lucifer cut in, "there are some rules."

You groaned and slumped in your seat, causing Diavolo to laugh.

"Trust me, it's not that bad."

"You both have to stay on your sides of the barrier, no matter what he says. He's doing extraordinarily well, but he has relapses from time to time, and as we've all discussed, your soul… well it's different. You shouldn't bring up his days as an angel, unless he does, because he can be a little offensive about it. You can only stay for an hour, and if I tell you we have to cut it short, you will leave without complaint."

"Wait, you're gonna be there?" You shot out.

Lucifer groaned and rubbed his temples, "Obviously. Diavolo, Barbatos, and I will all be there. Don't give me that look."

You pouted, but guessed it was better than nothing.

So as you nervously climbed the stairs with your three chaperones, you started to think about what to say. Turns out he was just as nervous as you, because as you reached the top of the stairs you saw him restlessly pacing  back and forth at the barrier/door. He was in his human form, which was good, because you didn't know if you had fully recovered from the last meeting.

When he noticed you, he halted, excitedly gripping the door frame, as he whispered, "Y/N."

"Hey Simmy," you exhaled, looking at Lucifer, who nodded, and walking towards the door.

"I…" his knuckles whitened a little from gripping the frame, but aside from that he was frozen. "I'm sorry for what happened last time, I-"

"No, it's alright, you didn't have control of yourself."

He seemed relieved as he let go of the doorframe.

"Just one of the many reasons I love you, I guess, my little lamb," he laughed lightly. Then he frowned.

"I never did tell you that before, huh? That I love you?"

You shook your head. Sure you'd hardcore crushed on him, and you had suspicions, but prior to your last meeting neither of you had said anything.

"Well, I do," he laughed.

"I love you too, Simmy. So I need you to get completely better so we can actually be together."

"That sounds nice," he sighed. "But why can't we be together now?"

Alarm bells started going off in your head, but you knew it would be better for both of you if you kept a clear head.

"Because you need to get better."

"But I'm better now!" He reached out to the barrier, before freezing. He stared at his hand in disgust, then made eye contact with Lucifer.

"I think that's all I can handle for today," he said through gritted teeth.

"Time to go," Lucifer said, placing a hand on your shoulder.

"What?" Your voice was shrill, it even startled you. "No, that was only five minutes, I was told we could have an hour!"

"We'll get there little lamb, I promise. I'm just not ready yet. We can try again tomorrow," Simeon soothed as Lucifer guided you down the stairs. It almost reminded you of angel Simeon. Almost.

   ….

Everyday, you visited Simeon with a chaperone, slowly increasing the time you were able to talk to him. He had two moments of relapse, but they had both been small, and the barrier had contained them well.

But you were getting impatient. Maybe it was because you were too human, but you wanted to just be able to see him like old times. And you were jealous, because you'd heard Luke and Solomon were already in a phase where they could see him without chaperones. 

So one night, you snuck up the stairs after dark. When you arrived at the top, you quietly tiptoed over to the barrier, and peaked in at Simeon.

He was facing away from you, typing on a typewriter that Solomon had given him.

"Someone's being naughty," he said with a laugh as he finished the last line of his typing.

"How did you-"

"I could smell you when you hit the stairs," he took the paper from the typewriter, scanned over it, then set it aside as he turned his attention to you.

"What can I do for you tonight, Y/N?"

"I just, well, I wanted to hang out, you know, without chaperones."

He hummed a little in agreement.

"That sounds nice. But knowing your guard dogs, it's only a matter of time before one of them goes to your room for cuddles, and figures out you're here. Personally, my money is on Mammon."

"I know. But can we just sit together for a minute? We don't have to talk,  I just want to be with you."

"Sure," his smile was so warm.

You both sat on your respective sides of the barrier, just looking at each other. You took the time to study him. In his human form, he didn't look much different. His clothes were different, but that just could have been out of necessity. There was a different glint in his eyes as he studied you, and he had less tension in his shoulders. But the rest of him was the same. 

"Can I ask a favor of you?" He startled you back to reality, and you nodded. "Can I hold your hand?"

You stared down at your hand for a moment, before slowly putting it through the barrier. He gently took it in his own, caressing each knuckle, sending a delightful thrill down your spine.

"Y/N!" You heard Mammon yell at the base of the stares.

"I should have put real money on it," Simeon sighed. He pressed a soft kiss to your palm before reluctantly releasing it.

"Go before we both get in trouble," he said with a wry smile.

You stood up, and sadly walked over to Mammon, who immediately started berating you, and dragging you to Lucifer's office.

"This human was-"

"I know."

Both you and Mammon froze at Lucifer's statement.

"Frankly, I'm surprised it took this long, but that was a test. We have a two way mirror up there," he pointed at a mirror sitting next to his desk, "and we were merely a moment away."

"So wait, does this mean…" 

"Lord Diavolo, Barbatos, and I will have to discuss it, but things may be able to change for the better."

    ….

The second the door was open, his arms were wrapped tightly around you. After he took a moment to inhale your scent, his lips were on your neck, jaw, ear, pretty much everywhere he could reach as he continued to hold you tightly.

Lucifer coughed behind you two. It was one of the rules to meet outside of the attic; one of the chaperones had to be there. But still, you were finally together in a way you could pretend was normal. And Simeon seemed to be taking advantage of it.

"Shut up, old man," he groaned as he continued to press kisses up and down your neck, nibbling a little here and there.

"Simeon," you whined, starting to feel embarrassed by the attention.

"I'm a demon now, baby, I don't care what people think of me," he laughed, but pulled away nonetheless.  He held you by your shoulders, reminiscent of the last time you saw him as an angel, studying your face with an elated expression on his face. 

One of his hands came up to caress your cheek, and you found yourself leaning into his touch.

"When we don't have a chaperone, little lamb..." he muttered with a smirk, causing your cheeks to warm, and  Lucifer to cough again. 

He laughed, the first unrestrained laugh you'd heard from him in a long time. You swore you fell in love all over again.

"Now let's have a seat," he said, sitting, and pulling you abruptly into his lap, before placing his face in your shoulder.

He sighed happily, then through a muffled voice said, "Lucifer can you give us a sec'."

"No."

You laughed at Simeon's sad whine, and gently guided his face up so you could kiss his forehead. 

"Don't worry, 'baby'" you giggled, running your fingers through his hair, and delighting in his excited smile. "I think, starting now, we have all the time in the world to be together."

"A new beginning," he whispered.

"Sounds nice," you giggled.

"Yeah," he hummed against your lips. "Lucifer-"

"No."

Hey! The song name I picked for this today is a typical period situation. But worry not, your sims can now have some comfort with this set of handy thingies! They're all purely decorative, though, but it's the thought that counts.

I've been feeling like there's not nearly enough menstrual products for simmies in TS2 so I kept thinking that I should learn to make objects and convert something. Wasn't until ages after that I randomly stumbled upon Sulainey's set and fell in love. It's really cute! That's how I converted my first object ever - a box. And a bunch of other stuff afterwards.

I thought that it would be a good addition to the set to make some hot water bottle recolors, because I'd never seen any at all and I think this is a very cool thing to own. Don't use a Pepsi bottle filled with hot water like I used to and let your sims get the real thing and live happily. Especially since it comes in cute Poppet colors (as well as a couple accidental new shades made with the same actions).

Everything is compressed and comes with descriptions. I also made a tiny edit to the ATS2 mesh, making the thumbnail appear slightly bigger than the original so that it's easier to pick a color. Hope everything works well in your game and you enjoy it!

Custom Rig / SimRipper Tutorial

Hi hello, welcome to todays lecture! Nah it's real simple even if it doesn't look it, I promise! I'm gonna go ahead and assume you have some basic knowledge of Blender/pose making for this tutorial, so I won't be going over how to set up your rigs or anything. Feel free to ask me any questions though! My previous pose tutorial is here if that's what you're looking for.

Disclaimer: I use this process to rip sims for posing only, idk if it's different for making renders 'cause that I ain't my jam. Although I assume it's pretty similar.

You're gonna need Blender (I use 2.79b but I'm pretty sure the newer version works okay for posing too) and SimRipper which you can get here...

Blender (2.79b) SimRipper

First things first, you're gonna wanna dress your sims! Just go in game like you usually would and once you're done dressing 'em you can save and exit. Hint: SimRipper will load up your sim wearing the outfit they're dressed in when you exit the game. I usually make sure they're wearing the right outfit before I quit. You can load up other ones later but it can take a while so it just saves some time.

Okay! Once your simmies are dressed and you've downloaded the SimRipper/extracted the file, double click on the .exe to open the application. You'll be greeted with this:

Click "Retry" to set up the correct paths then hit save. (I only needed to set up the first one so I'll assume you do too! If not just let it know where everything's installed)

Once you've hit save the application will open! Hit "Select" on the right and choose the correct save file, like so:

Hint: SimRipper is slow so don't worry if it says Not Responding or seems to take a while, it's pretty normal. The less sims/outfits there are in a save file, the quicker it'll work. You can make a blank save to make it faster but I don't bother; it doesn't take too long and I can't be arsed. You'll be greeted with a long list of all the sims in that save file. Find and click on the sim you wanna rip:

Once your sim has loaded up there's a couple of things we wanna change:

Change the top drop down menu to "Solid and glass meshes and textures" - this'll make it easier to get rid of eyelashes etc later (we don't really need those for posing and they get in the way of the eyes)

Click HQ - it'll look better, trust me!

You can change their outfit here too if they're not wearing the right one - though it'll take a while to load up again.

I like to hit the "Tanned" option, especially for paler sims, since blender seems to really wash them out and it hurts my eyes 😂 - personal preference though!

Once everything's set you'll need to click on "DAE" near the top right, this'll save your sim as a .dae file ready for blender. Again, it might take a while! Once you're done, you should have these files:

Okie doke! Now we're off to Blender. Open up your rig and click the little plus to the left of it to extend the menu. You're gonna right click on each of these body parts like "bottom" "feet" etc etc and hit delete until they're all gone.

Once you've deleted every body part, you'll be left with an empty rig like this:

Now that our rig is empty, we can import our .dae file! Go to "File" -> "Import" -> "Collada (Default) (.dae) like so:

Find your .dae file and double click on it to import it. Hint: I like to make a separate folder for my .dae files and I regularly delete 'em once I've saved my rig. I like tidy files!

Hi Oscar! I'mma go ahead and right click on this extra lamp that was imported and hit delete 'cause I don't need it! You can keep it if your eyes aren't sensitive little babies like mine, it doesn't matter much.

Okay.. so now we should have a "rig" and a "rig.001"! Click the little plus signs to the left again so you can see what's in the hierarchy of each one, and then:

Click the upside down orange triangle of your sim from the "rig.001" rig and drag it up to the first one, then drop it on top of "rig"

A box should come up like the one below and you wanna click on "Object"

All we've done here is move Oscar (or whoever) from the extra imported rig to the original. We don't need that extra rig or the glass textures (the eyelashes etc) anymore so get rid of it by right clicking it and hitting "Delete Hierarchy" like so: Hint: "Delete Hierarchy" is different from "Delete" and gets rid of the whole hierarchy (shocker) at once!

I like to rename my rigs, it can get complicated when you start posing more than one sim so naming them just makes it easier. Double click on where it says "rig" then rename it:

Now we need to attach your sim to the rig, as below!

Left click on the sim (aka "OscarFinch" in this case)

Head to the toolbar just below and click on the little wrench/spanner.

A little further down, click on the box beneath "Object:" and choose your sim/rig

In this case it's called "OSCAR", but if you didn't rename your rig it'll still be called "rig".

And that's it, you now have a custom rig 👍 Just make sure you save it!

You can go ahead and click on the little plus/minus to hide the drop down/extra info of the rig and start posing! \o/

Once you've done this a couple of times you won't even have to think about it anymore! I do it almost everyday and I had to really pay attention to what I was doing for this tutorial 'cause I was like ??? when I tried to think how I do it lmao.

They're so much more fun to work with than the base rigs, no more clipping, better facial expressions, poses with clothes in mind?! Amazing 😌

Extra Hint! If you rip a sim who's dressed with a pose accessory assigned to a stigmata joint, it'll still move as if you imported that accessory via blender. I randomly found this out by accident but it might save you some time!

I hope you found this easy enough to follow, but lmk if you have any questions! I think this is one of those things everyone kinda does a bit differently. Like.. one tut I saw you had to add the textures in separately n' shit? Idk that one confused me so this is how I do it and it works, so I hope it does for you too! ❤

I had the rest of my baby teeth taken out a couple days ago, 4 of them. It's two on each side and near the front, you can only see the gaps when I smile. But it's been hard to eat with the gaps and I can only eat soft foods and no hot drinks. I'm the type of person to drink scolding hot tea and hot chocolate almost exclusively.

I also have to do salt washes 3 times a day, it's a teaspoon of salt in warm (not hot) water which you have to gently swish around the mouth before spitting out and doing that for the whole cup. It tastes so bad.

Just curious how a daddy would act. Especially Simmy.

Oh my, it looks so bad >.< Luckily Simmy is there to help you! His poor bunny has trouble eating, but it's not like he ever gave you solid food in the first place. He'll just put less of them on the spoon and wait a little longer between morsels. Unfortunately there's not much he can do to make salt washes less bad other than sitting you in his lap and letting you hold his hand. Not to mention how you can't drink your bottles hot! Oh little one, what can we do? Cold bottles aren't as good as hot ones, he knows. But maybe he can add something to make them tastier? Like a little vanilla, honey or cocoa powder. And since his little bunny is always so good, he might reward you with some ice cream for a snack. What do you say? Wouldn't that be awesome? It would make you so happy, wouldn't it?

And let's face it, Simmy will try to make you smile just to see the gaps. He loves how they make you look younger.

i don't have the sims 2, but do you know anyplace to get references from it? like characters' outfits, houses etc.

there's nothing that i know for sure is akin to a comprehensive list or website but do not fret sweet anon, there's still hope.... here we go.....

for general things like decent-at-best house photos, busts (occasionally full-body photos, especially if you look at those whole household pics), front-facing portraits, storytelling photos, your best bet is the sims fandom wiki, even with it's absolutely fucking insane invasive mobile ads. and if you're on web get an adblocker TRUST ME. still a solid reference i use it all the time

for close-up face shots including ones for different ages, there's this sims 2 canalblog. it has all the bg and ep hood premades but it's sort of hard to navigate ‼️ and it's french ‼️; here's beau as an example. some photos deviate, some have the simmies smiling real hard, whatevs. this is one i use a bunch too

other good references are gameplay blogs on this very site. search the sim's tag, you'll likely find a plethora of in-game screenshots of them in their natural environment especially if we're talking a sim like vidcund, an absolute feast of references.

here's a couple gameplay-oriented blogs i know of that cover a wide spread of premades:

@jacethegaymer and @plumbogs use cc but stay rather faithful to the sims' og designs with some having no changes at all

@nervosims and @beikonsims both use what i'd say is a very large amount of cc, make pretty heavy changes to some sims' og looks, but are still quality refs imo

recommend more or your own blogs in the replies/reblogs if you wish. i don't personally know many but it would help greatly

other things you could use are cc/mod previews (obscure asf. many use premades in them, though they're never tagged i've noticed so good luck actively searching for these lmao); if you simply search on google there are often livejournal or dreamwidth pages with stories or pictures of the premades. going back to the houses part, you could always switch things up and reference rebuilds. @plumbtales has some drop dead gorgeous ones, and has pictures of separate rooms + you can find many others here. i find that these make more interesting backgrounds than the maxis builds

tbh halfway through i just began throwing out things that could be used as refs but ones i don't use myself. obviously the best choices are the game itself and google search -> images, but this was a fun little list to compile. perhaps i've made myself my own comprehensive list of possible premade references for when i'm too lazy to boot up my game that takes less than 2 minutes to fully load from clicking the .exe to entering a household!!

I'm a tiny bit frustrated atm, because I'm back after being abroad for a month, I have a few days available for self-indulgence and fun, and was looking forward to finally checking in on my beloved simmies. But I can't!!

After some heavy thunderstorm in our area, our the internet connection failed, and we had to wait almost a week for the technician to come and fix the problem. Then, when we finally were back online, I couldn't log in to the EA app! As it turns out the error (EC10500) is with EA, and is "a particularly stubborn issue", especially if you live in Norway and use the ISP Telia.

I'm sure it will all work again - some day in the future - most likely the day when my vacation is over. 😢

there's a very good reason why Sims 4 has not implemented wheelchairs yet.

I keep seeing people on the internet say something along the lines of "If the Sims can implement dogs and horses, they can implement wheelchairs!" And... well, no. The issue is a lot more complicated than that.

For the record- I'm coming at this as an amateur Sims 2 modder who's tried to figure out how to do wheelchairs a couple of times and have not been able to figure out how to do it to my satisfaction. If I sound angry, it's not because I'm mad at you; it's because I'm mad at myself for not being able to do this.

So. Before we talk about wheelchairs, we first need to talk about what a Sims dog is, under the hood. In every version of the game, functionally? It's a Sim in a fursuit with a distorted skeleton. You can see that in some of the horrifying Sims 3 glitches where the dogs stand up on two legs and start looking like very distorted people.

Dogs are Sims that are locked into a particular set of animations, and locked out of a bunch of other animations. Dogs have to run on all fours; dogs cannot offer other sims a rose or hug them.

Remember this; it will be important later.

To make a wheelchair-using sim in Sims 4, you need three things: the wheelchair itself, code that tells the wheelchair and the sim in it how to act, and animations for the Sim to use while in the chair.

The chair itself is moderately easy-- you would just need a couple of really good 3D models, and a wheelchair isn't exactly rocket surgery. The code would be more difficult-- you could probably repurpose the bike code, but there'd likely be some major hiccups, especially with indoor pathfinding around small objects.

But the thing that absolutely kills wheelchairs dead, the thing that makes them a nightmare to implement every time, the single thing that means we're never getting wheelchairs in Sims 4, is the animations.

See, if all you wanted was a chair a Sim could sit in and move around in, that would be one thing. But most of the people who want wheelchairs don't want them to be a funny-looking bike. They want to be able to make a sim who uses a wheelchair in their day to day life.

This means you would need to remake every animation in the game to be doable sitting down.

Think about that for a second. How many new animations did you get for dogs or vampires or werewolves or mermaids? How many is that compared to how many animations are in the game, total, now?

How many animations require your Sim to stand up before doing them? How many look weird if you're doing them with Sims of wildly varying heights?

Added to this: you know how BIG and EXAGGERATED all the sims' movements are? That's deliberate- they're meant to be easy to read at a distance. You would have to rework them all so that the animations are easy to read, even if you're looking at the Sim from behind and like 90% of the sims' body is obscured by the chair.

....Animation is the most expensive part of game dev. Like, hands-down, bar none, the most work and effort. It's the place where a lot of indie games go to die. And reworking every goddamn animation in the game to be legible and look good, even if one of the sims is in a wheelchair? That'd be an incredibly expensive undertaking.

And this is before talking about the social concerns that come up every time you're portraying a marginalized group! It'd probably be easiest for the devs to portray ambulatory wheelchair users- but is that the only group of people who get to be portrayed in game? Or are you going to take the time- and the assistance- to code in transfers and wheelchair-pushing?

It'd be easier for the devs to make "wheelchair user" a lifestate that can't hybridize, so they don't have to redo all the vampire/werewolf/witch animations-- but this means you've locked an entire group of people out of all of the fun of occult simmies. Is that a tradeoff worth making if it means you get wheelchair users in the game, or is it unfairly discriminatory?

And this is before factoring in the fact that people will- rightly or wrongly- judge disability content way more harshly than they'd judge, say, dogs. You'd basically have to give it away for free, or you'd be accused of being a cash-grab designed to exploit the disability community, even if it's the best implementation of a wheelchair ever seen in a video game. Any inaccuracy, no matter how small, becomes "proof the devs hate wheelchair users".

....And might I remind you, this would be one of the largest and most expensive animation projects that the TS4 team have ever done. You cannot expect people to do that for free.

So yeah, it's an incredibly big, complex project with absolutely no ROI. You cannot expect the TS4 devs to be able to accomplish this. You would basically need to work wheelchair users into the game from the ground up.

What they can add, and should, are canes and crutches. But that's another story.
