I remember that it's uncomfortable for you to write Belos/Camilla, and you prefer to write Beardo Phillip/Camilla, but there are no any real ship in this idea, so it should be fine. The whole idea is the misunderstanding.
So, Belos Redemption AU, Belos lives in Noseda's house with the HexSquad, he found out that his views are outdated, the children are more or less cool with such a company
Fic - Philip doesn't quite understand why Luz is acting so strangely. He just tried to help Camila in any way he could, because the poor woman was definitely not ready that so many guests would live in her house. He tried to be polite, asking different questions and being interested in different topics. But he doesn't quite understand what flirting is and why Luz thinks he did it with her mom.
Meanwhile, Luz believes that Belos wants to date her mom and she can't let that happen
The M/il/f-understanding
Philip was unable to comprehend why Luz was acting so aggressively towards him lately.
I mean, he had some idea as to why.
She was the only one in her friend group who was still suspicious about him.
Plus, there was the Day of Unity, the fight between him and her friends on Halloween, and so on.
But Philip took note of something.
He noticed Luz's aggression start to really rise whenever he was around her mother, which greatly confused him.
Since Camila had so many unexpected guests living with her now, he was trying to help her as best he could.
The two shared some intriguing conversations while cooking meals for the children and cleaning together.
Philip would always ask Camila questions about the modern world, and she was always happy to answer and explain them.
This caused Luz to accuse him of flirting with her mother one day, but he had no idea what that meant.
...
"YOU CAN'T DATE MY MOM!" Luz shouts, angrily rushing into the room that Philip was currently in by himself.
She grit her teeth. "YOU'RE NOT ALLOWED TO!"
"Date?" Philip questioned, a slight frown on his face at her tone.
"Why would I want to do that?"
"Because," Luz began with a growl, lowering her brows at him. "You've been flirting with her all week!" She argued.
"Just the other day, I heard you telling her how good she looked in her apron in the kitchen. You were flirting with her!"
"I was simply expressing a polite compliment," Philip would respond calmly.
He was a gentleman, after all.
"Oh, yeah?" Luz said, not believing him in the slightest.
He was a big fat liar in her eyes.
"Then explain why you were sitting on the couch watching TV with her on Tuesday. You were trying to find the right moment to kiss her, weren't you?"
He was probably attempting to put the moves on Camila while a romantic movie was playing, Luz thought.
Philip sighed at the assumption. "Your mother was showing me a documentary on horses. She believed that it would be of great interest to me."
And it was.
Luz continued to glare him down.
She had one more question to ask that would expose his true intentions.
"What about the flowers you got her?" She asked in a demanding tone, directing her finger towards the glass vase that was displayed on the hutch.
Resting inside it was a bouquet of beautiful marigolds.
"Well?" Luz tapped her foot, awaiting an answer.
"She requested them," Philip told her, a roll of his eyes.
"She mentioned that those were the flowers she adored the most and would look stunning in the house, so she asked me to purchase them using her card."
"...Oh," Luz went, feeling slightly embarrassed that she was wrong.
Philip chuckled. "You really are quite noisy, aren't you, Luzura."
"That's not my name," Luz grumbled. "And whatever, just don't try anything romantic or flirty with my mom. Got it?"
"Understood. Though..." He had a playful look in his eyes, a slight smirk spreading on his chapped lips.
"I could see myself attempting to pursue her during the Deadwardian Era," he hummed.
His young, bearded self would have done everything in his power to make Camila his wife.
If Luz had a drink in her hand, she'd spit it out. "Wait, WHAT?!"
