Day eleven: werewolf girlfriend shenanigans

Dealing with your werewolf girlfriend is hard, especially when she her body's changing during full moon.

Now Lottie can pretty much substain a normal life. She can go out without loosing control of her body and transforming, she can touch cats without them hissing at her, she can eat chocolate; she can even touch silver!

But, when the full moon comes, all the certain things in life are thrown over the window.

As if mimicking other of nature's cycles, Lottie's body goes through a change before and after the full moon. She suddenly gets much more hairy, her stomach can't process sweets anymore and her body gets very cold.

It's a very sudden and bothering thing when she transforms, especially after the end of her shift.

She was walking towards your shared home when her bones snaps, her skin gets covered by fur and her teeth feel much bigger in her mouth.

And as if things couldn't get worse, it starts raining.

So when you open the door, you're face to face with an enormous, sad, wet puppy.

She can't turn back when the full moon is high in the sky, so she is stuck in her werewolf form until morning.

You try, in vain, to dry her but she's far to big to handle, so she just ends up waiting for her fur to dry in the bathroom. Your house smells of wet dog.

Her behaviours change with her body, and she becomes much more cuddly than usual.

She follows you around the house. If you go in the kitchen to get a snack, she'll follow you; if you are bending over your desk to study, she's at your feet; if you go to the bathroom, you have to physically stop her from entering with locking her out.

If you even try to tell her to get off of you, she'll snap and show her teeth, which promptly gets her a well earned slap on the top of her head.

Lottie will follow you even in bed, which is a problem since your sheets are going to smell of fur now. She will jump on the bed, almost breaking the bed board, and cuddle near you. If she sleeps hard enough, you will find yourself covered by a giant werewolf puppy snoring loudly.

The morning after she's always embarrassed, asking for forgiveness and will help you to clean the sheets and the house off of her paw prints and smell.

"I'm sorry..." she'll say, lips pouting and big, brown eyes sad and teary. You can never get angry at her.

Let's celebrate Trolltide in Baldur's Gate!

On this day commemorating Waterdeep’s victory in the Second Trollwar, children run through the city acting like trolls, banging on doors and growling, from highsun till dusk. Home and shop owners are expected to give the children candy, fruits, or small items. Those who give no treat can expect to become the target of a trick at sundown. This mischief typically takes the form of “troll scratchings” at doors and windows. Those with more malicious intent sing screechingly in the wee hours, and hurl raw eggs at windows, signs, and the heads of those who try to stop them. Have some candy on hand or some sweet rolls, and all will be calm where you live.

Rainbow dragon once again brings this Autumn/Halloween ask game. The rules stay the same. Send me asks with one of the prompts written bellow, ideally one that contains all three types, and I'll bake you an ooky-spooky ficlet with any character from Baldur’s Gate!

Ghost Hunting

Vampire Frat - you know the guys in the house beside you are Vampires. But they don't know you're a witch. Until Halloween, when your powers grow stronger, they can't help but notice odd things happening around you.

A cute guy shows up trick or treating with their younger sibling/family member, he comes back later just to see you again.

At a Halloween themed carnival/fair and the scary yet attractive actor wont stop following you around.

Cinderella/Masquerade AU: You recognize them but they don't recognize you. Don't tell them who you are and they search for you (college/office au - or something similar?)

You save a cat/dog/other animals on the street, only to wake up the next day to find a man in it's place instead.

You move into your newly purchased house, only to discover someone or something already lives there.

Every Halloween for the last 5 years, a package mysteriously shows up in your house. This year, instead of a package, you find a stranger waiting for you.

Halloween Date

You are invited to an office Halloween party, and someone in a monster mask seems to want to keep you company. But who is it?

Jealousy: You attend a Halloween party and 'x' can't handle the attention you are getting from others, this causes them to make their feelings known.

College Au Carnival Game: Bobbing for apples but the apple you manage to get indicates who you will go on a date with.

Cozy autumn camping trip with friends leads to confession from someone.

They mistake you as their friend at a costume party and accidentally kidnap you.

Seven Minutes in Hell: You lose a game and have to spend 7 minutes in a haunted house with 'x'.

Halloween Movie Night: You have a movie night with your friends and your crush takes the opportunity to get cozy with you.

Abandoned: You are left in the woods by a bad friend, you know there is something or someone in the woods with you, but you get the feeling they're watching over you.

Fall Inspired Writing Prompts! 🍁🎃

❥ Hey everyone! 👋🏽 These are just a few writing prompts I’ve thought of over the month, considering October is coming up too! Now these won’t really be organized, considering I just thought of some of them but I hope you all have fun, have a good day! ✨🙌

You live in a farm out in the middle of nowhere, growing all sorts of flowers, fruits, vegetable crops in your yard. As you head out one morning to start your chores, you catch your cute little strawhat scarecrow that you just made smiling and waving at you.

A fairy is looking for a new home after her old one was found out by a pair of humans. Having looked high and low for the perfect place to settle down, she almost starts to feel disheartened. Until she comes across the biggest pumpkin she’s ever seen! One already cleaned out and decorated, it even had a little lantern inside!

A sweet smelling candle is given to you for your birthday, but it is secretly a magic candle. If you make a wish upon it, it shall keep said wish safe until it comes true. Even if you’ve forgotten about it, the flame will continue to burn until it happens. However, this candle can only be used once every year.

You’re a rookie wizard trying to find a special ingredient to make your brand new potion work. So you decide to stop into the town market to find anything interesting, until you find a gorgeous orange bottle with swirling amber inside. It’s absolutely beautiful. But before you can ask the stall owner, another wizard reaches for the bottle and you both grab it at the same time.

A werewolf is best buddies with a human but is reluctant to tell their friend the truth. Until one night, by sheer accident, they accidentally bite the human (not hard though it’s okay) under the moonlight. After accidentally turning their pal into a werewolf, the creature feels soooooo incredibly bad that they decide to teach them the ropes.

After trudging through a forest looking for pretty scenery to explore, you stumble upon an old wooden chest lying in the dirt. It’s much too old and grimy to be locked, and out tumbles a small gold key. Unbeknownst to you, a dark mysterious creature with glowing golden eyes is peering at you. Trying his hardest to figure out how to get the key, without scaring you.

You’ve been invited to the king and queen’s castle for a special harvest party after the cold months set in. But as you arrive with your gift, you’re surprised to find no one else there? There isn’t even any fanfare as you push past the big wooden doors, and step inside the darkest room you’ve ever seen. It turns out, you’re at the wrong castle, and a vampire lives there…

Halloween Writing Challenge 2: The Pact

Prompt:

🌙 On the eve of Halloween, a dangerous deal is struck—a pact with a supernatural being for power, revenge, or even love. But as the night unfolds, the price of this deal spirals out of control. Write a dark fantasy story about a character facing the consequences of their pact, where desires twist into chaos, and nothing is what it seems.

💀 Guidelines:

Moral Dilemmas are the heart of this challenge. Explore why your character made the pact. Was it out of desperation, lust, or vengeance? How does this deal test their humanity?

The supernatural entity should be unique—not your typical demon or devil. Make it charismatic but chilling in its manipulations.

As the price of the pact becomes evident, tension rises, leading to sinister turns and a haunting revelation: the protagonist's greatest wish may be their ultimate undoing.

⚡ The Twist: By the end, the protagonist will get what they wanted—but not in the way they imagined. Exposing the agreement will reveal a hidden truth.

🕸️ Word Count: 1,000–3,000 words. Dive into the dark fantasy of choices and consequences.

🦇 Bonus: Incorporate fun and traditional occult symbols—sigils, rituals, blood rites—with a fresh twist. Instead of blood, they seal the agreement with something unconventional, or the supernatural entity surprisingly exploits deep-rooted fears.

The Midnight Spooky Story Swap

In a cozy village, Halloween night ends with a tradition: neighbors gather in a local pub to share spooky stories. But this year, someone new joins the circle, telling a tale that feels a little too real. By the end of the night, the line between fiction and reality blurs.

Day seventeen: “Come on, it’s just a haunted house! It’ll be like a walk in the park.” / “More like a walk through hell.”

A/N: have a little taste of bilingual natalie! Also this is just a blurb cause I was getting tired of the haunted house attraction trope.

You stand in front of the haunted house's door, looking at its high, dark frames. "I...I am not so sure about this..." Natalie lets out a small laugh, taking your hand and holding it. "Come on, it's just a haunted house! It'll be like a walk in the park" she starts to tug you along her, stepping inside the house's halls, "More like a walk through hell".

The insides of the haunted house are dark, so much so that it's hard to see; the only source of light are red lights that color the walls with red hues. "hues that color the "Nat..." spiderwebs hang from the ceiling, severed bloody limbs are scattered in the corners of the halls, cleavers and knives reflect the red lights, giving them a much more dangerous look. "Yes?" her voice seems relaxed, calm, in sharp contrast with your own nervous voice. You don't answer because you have nothing to add, just needed to call out her name. You follow her through hallways and rooms filled with props and fake blood.

"...Nat?" she gives a long sigh, a bit bothered that you didn't answer her before. "Yes?" your voice is small, almost makes her pity you. "Aren't you scared?" you ask, earning a mocking and confident smirk in return from the blondie. "Scared? No, I am no-" a dark cloaked figure bursts from one of the closets, falling just in front of Natalie, which by now, is pissing herself.

"Porca puttana! Figlio di una-! " her courage has suddenly vanished and now she's clinging on to you for dear life, trembling in your arms. You can't help but let out a booming laugh, making the scare actor let out a laugh as well and Natalie gives you a betrayed look. "Tu-! Stronz-" she gives a long breath, trying to control her heartbeats. "Didn't you..." you wheeze, "Didn't you say you weren't scared?!".

"I wasn't, until that fucker came out of the closet!" you almost feel like you're passing from laughter. "Hey don't laugh!".

Paranormal Halloween-Themed Writing Prompts!

Pedro Pascal Writing Challenge

Halloween 🎃 is such a fun time of year and the spookiest month of all is right around the corner sooo.....

Beginning September 14th if you would like to partake in a spooky Pedro Pascal writing contest you can choose below from the list of fall and Halloween themed prompts. **IF ANYONE WANTS TO HELP READ & JUDGE STORIES/NARROW DOWN WINNERS PLEASE LET ME KNOW (DM's are probably the easiest way to reach out).

The challenge is open to all writers who are looking for some fun and super friendly competition (if we get enough people who want to write & enter).

Writers in the contest must use the tag #PedroHalloween2023 and tag @pedrocontestsrus (it's a sister blog I created) and submit stories between September 14th and October 15. I promise that'll be the last one 😄 So, Vergil x fem! reader watching a scary movie in the thunderstorm and it... illogically but very much scares Vergil? The suspense was killing him.

The character was walking down the long dark hallway in silence with only eerie music keeping them company. How could they not see this is not going well...

When you invited him for a horror movie night, Vergil wasn't sure what to expect. Hi didn't expect the movie to shook him like this. With all that went through in his life, he was sure than a little fake blood was not going to phase him. You, the sneaky you didn't pick the gory type of movie. Instead, you went with psychological thriller type of movie and Vergil learned the hard way that story does not have to have violence and death to sent your skin crawling.

The movie character started writhing and screaming in panic as an invisible force twisted their limbs ond threw them in the air. Vergil winced at their horrified screams and turned his head away from TV to you. You were bundled up in your blanket, chewing on popcorn, eyes fixed on the screen.

Bloody hell, he won't be the one asking for comfort he won't...

At that exact moment a lightning struck right in front of your living room window, illuminating the entire room in ghostly white and seconds after that, the ever-so-familiar roar of thunder swept through the block. You let out a loud screech and Vergil practically jumped at the sound.

"Sorry! Sorry! That was...uh-" You winced at another sound of thunder, visibly burrying into your blanket.

"Crap, that scared the shit outta me."

"You mean to tell me that all this time you watched this movie without so much as twitch and rainstorm makes you jump out of your skin?"

You shrug, "Well, the things in the movie are not real but the storm is."

"Speaking of, how come you're the Alpha and Omega and shiver in front of jumpscare?"

Vergil grumbled.

"Awe, come here." You pat his lap. Vergil glares at you but complies, setting his head on your thight as you ran your hand through his hair.

Softer Werewolf Headcanons 🌙

❥ Hey everyone! So I know that I should be working on my Bad Batch one shots for the time being, I promise I am, but recently I’ve hit a bit of a stump? So I’m trying to get my creativity out with these little posts. I might make another small one about my crossover just to get some ideas too. But all these fall writing prompts are so cool & fun, I’ve been wanting to give it a try for awhile!

❥ Plus werewolves are one of my favorite creatures, I wanted to try writing about them! It’s also because super gorey or gothic vibes just aren’t entirely my thing, no offense do anyone that likes that genre, but I wanted to do something different! Thank you & I hope you enjoy! 🙏🙌✨

They don’t fight each other to see who’s in charge, it’s more like a sense of already knowing. Someone who already “commands” a presence or behaves more responsibly is gonna be the leader. But if there’s really a big opinion about it, they’ll just arm wrestle.

Make sure you write your name on leftovers!! Or they’ll be gone by morning, even the veggies aren’t safe…

The whole shifting during nighttime is more of an urban legend that human folk made up. However, it’s become more of a scary campfire stories werewolves use to get kids to go to bed on time. 😅 Kind of as a more spooky “If you keep making that face it’ll get stuck like that” vibe?

Werewolves can change form any time they want, but there are rare occasions they get “stuck.” This can last from 15 minutes up to a whole day.

Daily hangouts!! If a werewolf lives near a forest or near vegetation, morning hikes & walks are a must. But if a werewolf happens to live in a city or anything similar, a nice nap in the park or even breakfast on a balcony is just as good!

Dogs LOVE them!! Usually all animals do but it’s mainly dogs, even unruly or grumpy dogs will be on their best behavior! They make for good trainers if you just need a helping hand.

Regardless of appearance, werewolves are definitely stronger than the average human. While it’s not always obvious, even a scrawny guy or gal without any workout experience can lift a 30lb weight easy.

Okay these next couple points I was inspired by Cartoon Saloon animation studio, and their film Wolfwalkers. I love the interpretation Irish folklore has with werewolves!! It’s not this super eerie or gross transformation or anything, but it’s just beautiful and maybe a bit simple. The characters look completely normal in human form too! There’s nothing too odd or bizarre about them either, they’re just normal people with incredible powers! Plus the aesthetic is so beautiful and woodsy and vibrant, this is what I wanna see in werewolf movies. 🙌✨

In all honesty, when I think of werewolf vibes or even just wolves in general, I think of like an earthy colored version of fairycore. 😅 Which is also my favorite, but anyways, Wolfwalkers is literally the perfect werewolf movie I honestly can’t believe how good it is! Plus wolves are my favorite animal anyways lol so this made me happy to see.

Anywho! This next idea was inspired by the studio’s Song of the Sea and selkie mythology. I’ve always thought the idea of a magical animal cloak in mythology is sooooooo amazing! I know tales about swan maidens and other animals are a thing, but a magic fur coat is most popular with selkies. But it would be cool to have this for werewolves too! Like imagine a fluffy fur coat and when you put it on you’re a wolf!

I do like this idea better than some transformations I’ve seen. 😅 Plus, I’ve always found it strange that werewolves are sometimes “super hairy” or they’re a bit aggressive personality wise? Idk, that just doesn’t sound very nice to me. 😅
