Hello I love your art!!! I was reading through your changeling au and Felix mentions that fae are creatures of mirth. They literally need attention to survive. But what kind of attention? I guess I'm wondering because Adrien has been in the public eye for a while now, but has been personally neglected for even longer. What does that mean for him? Is he starving? Is he in danger of dying? Does he even know it? (I assume not given he doesn't even know he's Fae).

If he is starving / in danger of starving who is the first to realize this?

it depends on the mirth, on the attention, on what it is they seek. Without making things too complicated - I don't like to define everything into neat little boxes after all, there's fun in nuance - Felix is just explaining from his experience, the Fae he was with tended to be "entertained" by certain aspects of their playing, which was the mirth that kept them relevant. Relevancy more than anything is really what keeps their wheels greased.

In Adrien's case though, the reason he's cloying for so many names and to have so many thralls and attendants is because he SHOULD be a more social creature and has been kept woefully alone. He is kinda starving in the way a fae starves - he's relevant, but only in an image his father constructs OF him, which means it isn't REALLY him - and he has no one to play with. No friends, no lovers, and no rivals, makes a very sad fae

They are like an emulsion of two substances that do not mix together, but they can melt in one another while still not having dna stirring together. I think I'm picturing something like liquid mercury that can be divided into smaller portions and reunited.

They can immerse themselves in and emerge out of the other's body. When they're conjoined they can also disproportionate themselves. Tyler is the one more comfortable with disproportion, and he's also the one that resides into narrator almost everytime. Narrator, on the other hand, still doesn't feel like letting Tyler be the one moving both of them.

I thought about Tyler developing as an extension to narrator later in his life (not an alter anymore, he considers him a parasite at first).

Oh also they can completely separate, but that requires consent from both of them, so does the reconnection in which they also decide who is the one that stays out and who is the one melted inside.

I briefly, in my own brain, had an au of basically the second and third movie combined. Except it's John Dory. And he's been living as a rock troll a good chunk of those years. He's worked his way up the ranks and now is one of Barb's right hand trolls. The bros come to "save him" but he's really not in trouble. Unless they find out he was born pop (going off the basis that Brozone is rock and pop). He is kind of running a school to teach how to be punk rock and just looks super edgy which is jarring to the other brothers because JD looks angry and a little sad. Ok, I recently wrote an essay [here] talking about the definition and duties of civil engineering as well as the ethics because of the brain rot @swordfright gave me with calling Dream Sam’s ultimate engineering project. So, because I actually am a civil engineer I took it upon myself to design the title and summary of quantities sheets just like I do at work for roads but with Dream as the project instead. And in honor of angst day sponsored by @sixteenth-day-event, I figured I’d share it because I feel like it kinda works for the prison of the mind prompt.

i downloaded that app that lets you customize your own soundscapes because i was like well this probably still won't be for me but i'll try it out just to see. first i set up a cafe with loud babble so i could eavesdrop on the table next to me, but there was only about 2 minutes of recorded audio. so once i memorized the conversation, i moved on to an irish coastal seascape, where i discovered that you can set the sliders to "drowning in the open ocean." that legitimately relaxed me so much that my headache went away but after about 20 minutes my brain adapted enough for the Voices (TM) to return, so i turned to a thunderstorm where all the thunder sliders were turned up to 100% power. so you feel like you're in the middle of bullshit tornado country. after all this i discovered there's a haunted mansion soundscape already so. i guess i'll get some mileage out of this thing yeah.
