eijiro wouldn’t notice you right away, being so immersed in his own workouts, but over the span of a couple of weeks he can’t help but take note of you. 

when you're nearby he lifts just a little heavier than usual at the chance to impress you. if you so much as glance over at him and flash him a smile, he considers it a win.

and if you compliment him it makes his day! he tries to play it off but he can’t stop himself from grinning like an idiot. “ah, it’s nothing really! um, i saw you and— you were doing great too!” 

eijiro would finally ask you out by putting flowers in your locker and then popping up behind you like, “hey, you're a really stable lifter— wanna go on a date with me?” 

once you are officially dating you are also officially gym partners for life. 

eijiro falls into the habit of buying the same gym brand equipment as you because he’s now shopping for two and it’s easier. 

you two start your mornings by making protein packed smoothies alongside a nutrient rich breakfast. eijiro encourages early runs before work together and you always accept— he wraps a scarf around your neck, insisting that your workout outfit isn’t warm enough.

eijiro is discussing both your workout plans on your way to the gym and runs at any opportunity to spot you.

at the end of the day, you like to take photos to document your progress and eijiro flexing in the back of them has become your new normal.

eijiro makes a joint diet schedule that’s hung up on your fridge and plans ice cream dates on your shared cheat days.

kaminari denki

when denki first saw you at the gym— which was pretty soon after you began going because he’s always distracted at the gym — he lost track of his speed and flew off his treadmill. to no one's surprise, he spent the next couple of weeks watching you, not in a creepy way, but in an admirable one. 

you were consistent, confident, and exactly his type and he could tell all this without even having to talk to you.

your high gym attendance improves denki’s. now he spends hour-long sessions at the gym in hopes to run into or even just see you.

denki would come up with the stupidest way to talk to you for the first time. like he notices you’ve been focused on your biceps recently and challenges you to an arm wrestle. 

he goes home and practices complimenting you in the mirror, “woahhh nice form— no, that sounds weird. perfect form beautiful! …no not that. you are so sex— fuck.” (and maybe gets a little side tracked)

once he finally makes his move and you accept, he’s genuinely just sooo ecstatic to show you off at the gym. he loooves spotting for you, even if you don’t need it. 

denki loses his mind when you arrive with a new workout set that fits your figure just right, literally ogling at you shamelessly. he’ll say you need to fix your strap, no, he’ll do it for you just so he can get his hands on you.  

getting smoothies after working out is a new favorite part of both your routines. 

sero hanta

hanta sees you killing it on the stairmaster and immediately knows he needs you to be a part of his life.

he finds you at the front desk after one of his late night workout sessions, and sparks up a conversation with you. he’ll be sure to include how he notices you really like to do cardio and expresses his fascination for it.

from then on you two have a very flirty dynamic. there’s never a day where he doesn’t compliment you. 

he always brings an extra jacket just in case you want to do your exercises outside. 

hanta remembers your favorite energy drink, and somehow ‘accidentally buys two’ so he ends up giving you one. this happens more times than it should. 

hanta hears music blasting from your headphones one day and suggests making a shared playlist. he’d tease you for your music taste but listens to your favorite albums when he does solo runs or is studying.  

the first time you properly flirt back with him, he genuinely starts lagging. “yeah? really— i mean that great, you’re great.”

if someone’s creeping on you at the gym? he’s there in seconds. arm draped around your shoulders, casual but firm. “hey babe, you ready to go?” (he’d do this before you’re even official)

you could be doing two different exercises at the gym, but he makes sure that you’re always in his line of sight.

though hanta is an amazing boyfriend, he isn’t always the best gym buddy. all it takes is waking up next to you, breathing slow and peacefully as you’re tucked under his arm, for him to cancel his 8am workout session. and he’ll beg you to not leave his side when it’s time for you to get up. 

shinsou hitoshi

hitoshi first noticed you because you actually wiped down the equipment after using it. that’s it. his knew his standards were already high and maybe you’d prove he wasn’t out of his mind. 

hitoshi unapologetically looked you up on social media when he got home that day and physically flung his phone across the room when he accidentally liked your latest post. 

he definitely didn’t avoid going to the gym for a couple days after that…

eventually, you two end up at the water fountain at the same time and hitoshi forces his resting bitch face to curl up into a small smile. it pays off when you tell him he’s cute and pointed out his one sided dimple.

hitoshi would only ask you out after you've complimented him a dozen times, he’s dropped a million hints, and he’s 100% sure you’re interested in him.

even after becoming official, hitoshi gets totally flustered if you compliment his progress and will try to cover it with sarcasm. “whatever it’s nothing.” (he’s blushing)

you’re the only person he ever gives unsolicited advice to gently. “if you adjust your grip just a little, it’ll hit your lats better.” it’s his version of flirting.

hitoshi stopped taking pre-workout and started stretching with you in the morning instead (and it has worked wonders for him.)

you’re genuinely his biggest motivation. he thinks you’re cool and wants to keep you around so as long as you’re the one kissing his biceps by the day and he will keep on fighting.

if you’re both facing the mirror, and he catches your gaze he tries soooooo hard to act nonchalant but you can see him smiling to himself and quietly hyping himself up.

So on an operation they can't exactly kiss and tell each other "I love you", and the same thing goes on base since it's fraternization… so they have code words and other stuff!

Since Ghost rarely hydrates because of the mask he has to collect water bottle caps as a "I'm not trying to die of dehydration and I still love you" and gets a kiss from each one of them every night for every cap from a water bottle.

Soap kinda is between gifting grenade pins and just leaning on them. Since he is alredy touch as a person it doesn't look out of place, but leaning in his context is more of a "I know you are solid, I hope you can help me be solid too" rather than just leaning on each of them.

Gaz is a weird one. He has something different for each one of them. He gifts Ghost bullets, sometimes white markers to re-whiten the skeleton fingers on his gloves, and sometimes keeps him steady by grabbing his tac-vest strap and saying close. For Soap it's gifting things like good colouring pencils, brushed, inking pens and other stuff. For price it's about filing the paperwork in record time. Surprisingly it works every time and he get a kiss every time.

Price has to be careful when he gives affection, he is tje captain, he is seen as an estimated figure and the superiors have sharp eyes. Yet if you know where to look you'll notice the hand on Gaz's beack going a little towards his hip, with his leutenant how he brings him food so he doesn't have to show his face in the cantine, for Soap how he lets the rules a little more loose, for Roach how he is always inclined to bending down when he talks to him, almost asking for a kiss. With Nik nobody notices anything, they are usually making out in his room though.

Nik is often overlooked by the superiors, so how he displays affection is a little more obvious. Letting Ghost observe him while he repairs a heli and then hiding inside for a quick kiss, listening to Soap make the weirdest physics calculus he ever heard to explain to him how he could change direction in half a second, helping Gaz program frones and every once in a while steal a kiss, make out on the regular with Price, sharing cool insect facts with Roach and sharing a few cute moments.

Roach is the one that does it the weirdest. He is always near Ghost. You see Ghost alone? No he isn't, Roach is at maximum 50 meters away. Soap is drawing? Roach is hiding behind me drawing a few doodles on the edges of the paper. Gaz is writing a report or doing informatics? He is near him messing around, asking questions (with double meanings obviously) messing with his hair and other stuff. Eating in the chow with Price? They are locking feet under the table. Watching Nik prepare the flight plan? Hugging him from behind.

FINALLY LIKE I VE WANTING TO SHARE THIS FIC IDEA. So basically Lilias was friends with mals parents, he distanced himself after they got him. Because it hurt seeing this child, but sadly his parents die on an accident, and since his only family (malleus grandma) cant take care of him because of her age. He takes malleus in, but thanks to all that trauma malleus creates and unhealthy attachment to Lilia, this shows when he is about to enter into kindergarten, he doesn't make friends and makes tantrums because he doesn't want to leave lilias side. So Lilia is worried for him because he cant be like that, so one day while going to the park he sees a baby left alone in the park, and well he tries to find his parents but he simply couldn't, so he decides to adopt him since he is already a little attached with the baby and maybe with this malleus will improve. But no, things get worse malleus hates silver for taking away Lilia from him, so when silver grows (he might be like 2 years younger than him) he notices how malleus hates him, he playa rough with him and tells him that his lilia would be better without him in his life, and it makes him a little sad but still does nothing because he doesn't want to make his dada sad. So both of them grow more and one day silver is bullied, he gets picked on and punched and still doesn't say anything just takes it, malleus is near by and is happy about silver suffering, until the bullies start mentioning that he is pathetic because his own father is etc, malleus hears this and well nobody will talk about lilia like that so he gets out of his hiding spot and it's ready to punch both of the bullies but before that could happens he sees silver launching himself against them defending his father name, still the bullies manage to overpower him but malleus arrives and start punching one of the boys till he bleeds. And basically both of them start bonding over his love for lilia, but yeah this will take a twisted turn, because when they grow up they see lilia reliving himself so both of them start fantasizing about making out with Lilia. Maybe they will both make him his wife on silvers 18 birthday.

boredom post lol, just dumping my thoughts into the void of what id like to see be added in whb but probably will never happen 🫠

1. separation of character and artifact banners

pretty self-explanatory. w the roster being huge and it only increasing from here there needs to be a distinction btwn characters and artifacts. im sure many ppl atp have gotten tired of the false hope they get when they get the gold glow from one of the kings at the beginning only to find out that its just one of his sig 💀💀

1.1 for patches w 2 l-rank debuts, have the selector work even before you hit pity

i get having the selector for if you reach hard pity, but its a bit greedy for it to apply only when you wasted so many seals (esp when f2ps dont get as much seals as they should). i would like the chance of knowing im guaranteed that char from the beginning even when i get the char early

1.2 if there exists an artifact banner, let there be a selector for which one you want to pull for

same logic as prev points. the rosters getting huge and ideally id like to have smth guaranteed for when i do my pulls

2. update characters' skill descriptions to be more specific

theres too many "[dmg/healing] is proportional to [some stat]." i want to see what that actual proportion is, like "dmg is proportional to x% of stat" where x is some number. or in skill menus theres "increase passive effect" like just tell me what youre specifically increasing in the passive !!!! i shouldnt need to actually lvl the passive to figure out whats changing, it should be stated from the get-go

3. have someone at the very least proofread the text

now i've seen my fair share of typos in games, hell, i literally play one where they couldnt even spell their own game name properly during the earlier yrs of its release lol *cough pgr cough*, but for the most part theyve resolved that issue and simple typos are easily spotted and fixed, but ive never seen there be this many typos or language switches mid-sentence. literally just 1 thorough proofread couldve easily solved most of these grammatical issues.

4. better optimization

im sorry but this is getting to like hoyo lvls of optimization w the fact that whb, which just hit half anni a month ago, is getting close to the amnt of storage an almost 3 yr old game has is wild to me (completely disregarding the fact that pgr has 3d models, l2d cgs, etc). imo, the amnt of storage whb holds should be around or even lower than what neural cloud has (which mind you, also has 3d models and l2d art 😭😭)

incoming very weird comparison but vanilla minecraft, a game that gets regularly updated, both on pc and pe take less than 1 gb

literally improving the optimization would make the game more accessible i.e. get more players to play since it wont take up a lot of storage !!! as someone who used to have 64gb or less on my phone, i could barely play any games on it bc nowadays they unnecessarily take up so much storage

5. add more daily/weekly tasks

keep the 9 daily requirements and 32 weekly requirements the same, just give more tasks for each so that we arent strictly set on doing specific ones. id like to see more stuff like "battle any stage x amnt of times" (emphasis on any, not a specific stage) or "interact w the lobby character at least once," just really anything that doesnt involve investing in a character or artifact. i feel like im wasting resources from lvling chars i dont wanna lvl, + we dont get enough tears per week to properly invest in so many characters at once.

giving more breathing room to hit the 9 and 32 achievements would put less stress on me cause then i'll know that if i cant complete one task, i can just do another and still be able to get all the rewards obtained for the week. im sure a fair share of ppl atp have missed out on getting all the weekly rewards bc they accidentally missed 1 daily task which is painful

5.1. get rid of the lvling artifacts weekly requirement and lvling characters requirement

briefly mentioned it prev but wanted to make its own section. its useless, especially when i ald have the artifacts that i need lvled up. its a dumb requirement that makes me waste mats and pulls just so i could lvl some artifacts properly.

6. get rid of the rng boxes and make them selectors

5.2 increase the daily/weekly rewards

dailies (w pancake shop): 9 tears, 7 key boxes (rng)

weeklies: 4 tears, 5 red keys, 2 yellow keys, 50 seals

i dont think i need to explain much here thats like scraping the bottom of a barrel for important mats/gacha currency

they suck. i do not want resources to be gacha too

7. make all shops cheaper

self-explanatory. everything is too expensive (esp in red gems shop) and therefore is borderline inaccessible unless if you hoard mats or 💳

7.1 add the ability to convert red gems to seals

red gems have very little use now ever since seals were introduced. id like them to have some important use if we keep getting a certain amnt of them every week. we can covert them to red/yellow keys, so by that logic we should also be able to convert them to seals too

8. get rid of uncommon/useless currencies

pretzels, artifact enhancement stones, and blue guilty gems are the 3 that come to mind. ik pretzels were originally supposed to be from the friends system, but that was removed a bit after launch and still hasnt showed up despite pb promising itd be launched around this time. aside from that the other 2 serve little to no use, as artifact stones dont lvl up the artifact all that much and blue gems died when seals became a thing

9. auto-clear for story stages

i mean that after getting a perfect clear on a stage, then have auto-clear be an option. since candy boxes are farmable through story, i end up falling asleep or getting bored of having to sit through fighting the same stage like 20+ times a day. this is honestly one of the more nit picky ones in this list lol, i just play the stages in the bg while i do other stuff but ideally id like to get stuff done asap

10. make lvling characters cheaper

we only get 13 tears a week from dailies + weeklies + pancake shop. assuming you start from scratch and want to get to char lvl70, it takes 3 weeks to get there without the help from other shops. thats almost a month for 1 character, it shouldnt take that long to invest in someone (it also shouldnt be that expensive 💀)

if we're getting such low numbers of essential materials per week, decrease the character lvl prices to reflect that. or alternatively, increase the number of mats we get per week to easily lvl characters

10.1 increase the character lvl cap to 100

40 tears for one level is not worth it, having the cap be 100 would make it feel like its worth it (not really tbh, its still real expensive when lvl70 provides more than enough to clear all content 💀)

10.2 add a resource stage for pies

getting pies only through shop (rng boxes btw) and events isnt enough to compensate for how much skill lvls cost. either decrease the skill lvl prices or increase the pie income to balance it out

11. have the ability to backread txt msgs before choosing a reply

self-explanatory. the game doesnt allow you to backread before choosing a reply which sucks :/

as someone who usually cant process txt after reading it once i kinda just sit at the replies like :/ girl i forgor what he just said and i cant go back and read so i'll just leave and re-enter the chatroom again ig

12. have the game automatically lock l-rank artifacts as soon as you get them

ik theres a lock feature, but you need to lock all artifacts manually. id rather the game lock l-rank artifacts for me once i get them so that i dont accidentally recycle them when cleaning out my inventory and then i manually unlock them later if i want to

13. give seals, keys, or just any sort of general gacha currency as compensation rewards

receiving only ap feels like a slap to the face, and seals/any other currency would only be given out if there was smth that was severely (and i mean very severely) hindering everyones gameplay. the ap given isnt even that much either which is like rubbing salt in the wound

14. decrease ap requirement in stages

considering stages can go up to 32ap as a req (given this is only seen in events, the usual hovers around 25 but my point still stands), you cant really do all that much if the cap hovers around 250 (give or take, i havent seen anyone w 300ap yet so 250 im considering is the avg rn for endgame players). w each stage at highest difficulty being 25-30+ap, we essentially only play like 10 stages max before needing to wait.

1 solution ppl would have in mind is to just buy the 300ap from red gems shop or buy more ap from selecting the ap counter directly to get more for the day, but i want smth thats more accessible. i shouldnt need to pay w some currency to get literally the bare necessity of being able to play this game.

i think keeping all stages at 15ap is perfect, hell, even 20 would also work since w 250ap you can get more than 10 runs in one session

15. make the battles less reliant on needing certain l-ranks

this is just smth ive noticed when testing out stages w other chars or just playing realm of seraphim lol, but theres a huge imbalance w l-ranks vs s and a+-ranks. theres also a huge imbalance when it comes to the classes too (i'll get to that in a bit)

take beel's camp for example, there is no one in beels camp that can essentially mimic or closely mimic what beel does kit-wise (dmg ik will be different cause lower ranking and all). imo, the go-to non-l-rank alternative for beel isnt even from his camp, its from belphegors !!!! (if you didnt catch on im talking abt andrealphus lol)

or take mammon for example, no one in his camp (as of making this post) deals dmg on ult, they only either shield themselves or take the hit for ppl on the team, which tends to do more harm than good.

element-wise, take juno for example. juno being an l-rank fire unit significantly changed how fire team worked, i.e., you can actually use that team to clear most story content now (minus water enemies lol). that should probably put into perspective of 1. how l-ranks are a bit too important in this game and 2. how unbalanced light as an element is compared to every other element

why do we have so many close-rangers??? so many marksman????

we have such little supports (tanks + healers) that it makes me fully convinced the gameplay pb wants to achieve is full on dps and not yk a well-balanced team w dps AND support. dont get me wrong if players want to full on dps that is totally fine by me, the issue im having is that the devs appear to want a full on dps team, completely ignoring the idea of how to properly balance a game where they also introduce supports. of course there are marksman/close-rangers that can support i.e. buff the team (juno, dantalian, ronové, phenix, the list of examples goes on), but im specifically talking abt the classes in general. for the most part, marksman and close-rangers are usually dps while tanks and healers are usually support.

if youre gonna introduce supports in this game, 1. have more than just 1 tank unit for each non-light element, 2. make the healing be higher than 1% of a char's hp, 3. have an equal amnt of tanks and healers as close-rangers and marksman.

the fact that if you dont have mammon as your designated tank or lucifer as your designated healer, youre essentially screwed over is wild to me. their camps' s/a+-ranks should be able to hold just as well without their kings. satans camp is the perfect example of that. chars like minhyeok (who is quite literally mini satan kit-wise lmao), gabriel, leraye, nostalgia leraye, hell even ppyong (the a+-rank ver, not juno lol) are all perfect alternatives for if you dont have satan and that is amazing. we currently dont have that for supports and i genuinely hope thatll change in the future

this game is very, VERY far from being at least somewhat balanced in my eyes. i really do wish for the best w this game but man as someone who loves to dissect gameplay down to the numbers, seeing all this gets real frustrating for me from time to time.

i think a lot of people who are aware of Shane sort of just think of him as the skeptic guy on bfu/ghost files (not saying that’s u obv just a lot of ppl bc I guess I need this to be a pitch meeting) and I think that is a shame because HOLY SHIT HES SO TALENTED AND COOL AND WEIRD AND THE SHIT HE MAKES IS SO FUCKIKNG INSANELY GOOD

Ok so going back in time for a second to b*zzfeed. Who btw did not deserve this guy. Afaik he had two major like, creative projects on there. Ruining History and The Hot Daga. Both were very good. ruining history was a fun history show he did with Sara and Ryan and there are rotating guests every episode. Shane is very interested in history, very good at teaching history, and i think in an alternate universe hes a beloved high school history teacher. Ruining History is the father of puppet history. B*zzfeed canned it and i miss it every day. and then there’s the other father of Puppet History, Hot Daga. Hot Daga is insane. I love Hot Daga, its not for everyone, but I think its so good. The lore goes crazy, he produced and made original songs for it, he animated the whole final half season by himself which is fuckinf insane. He made a ballad for it and actually i need everyone reading this to Listen to “believe me maizey” and then directly after listen to the Meteor Ballad from Puppet History. OH LOOK A SEGWAY

Puppet history is so fuckinf good. Its So Good. And especially in later seasons since hes doing so much you really start to see his improvement as an artist and its just. Its incredible. Some of the somgs are genuinely fucking masterpieces, like some of my favs are The Flower Boat Song, Asmodeus, The Horse and God song, the Emu song, Big Pile Of Diamonds, Infinitiger, The Window Song, Gay Oars Duet, Hologram Professor Song, and the Meteor’s Ballad. And more. Uhh OH the Olympic Torch is really good too. His lyrics are so smart and fun and his vocals are so impressive and he has such good range, he duetted Himself for the Oar song and managed to make the two voices identifiable as separate characters without being over the top. The lyrics range from poetic anf beautiful to weird and funny often within the Same song! Its just so good and he starts so good and gradually over the years he’s done the show you can see him getting more comfortable and better at music which is crazy causw again HE STARTED OFF GOOD! HE WAS INSANE IN HOT DAGA AND HE IS SOMEHOW EVEN BETTER IN PUPPET HISTORY LIKE! and and and ok here’s where I get crazy and a little parasocial (lol not really i am misusing that word for the bit LOL)

Something about all his work is that you can kind of see how his art depicts the world. In Hot Daga you get the line “what else can you do in the face of such monumental loss, but breath a weary sigh as the world is a little quieter now.” And in Puppet history you get uh actually you get like 20 things from the meteor song but one of my favorite parts is (read blue as the professor, orange as the meteor, pink as both) “some shit’s just etched into the stars, calamities you cant outrun/and when sweet earth we finally meet/the sky will burn and boil the sea/as mountains rend/its you and me.” i think both these lyrics and these somgs demonstrate a maturity about the world that you dont really see in a lot of people, his general kindness towards anything and everything and his ability to change perspectives on things without being forceful. (On a personal note I listened to The Meteor song after someone I knew passed, and as dumb as it maybe sounds the idea that like,, death is not cruel, you can’t always run and sometimes the best thing you can do is be there with the people you love as the world ends.) and also I think that you really can tell that he views the people he’s telling you about as People and not just like, figures. Ykwim. He shows such genuine respect and care for everyone in these stories and I’ve already like briefly in these stories but like, you KNOW if a guy can make me cry for the Meteor that killed the dinosaurs then he’s something special. i also think the way he portrays death in his work is very comforting as a whole. and another thing speakinf of rhat is that he has so much respect for other cultures in a level I think that goes beyond just bare minimum not being a piece of shit. Like especially when he’s teaching history, an example that always sticks out to me is how much effort he put into making sure people remembered and thought about Hatshepsut by having a whole episode on her history then also making an EXTREMELY (probably intentionally so though i cant be sure bc I can’t reas minds) catchy song that Told you to think of Hatshepsut and explained Why uou should think of Hatshepsut and it’s been stuck in my head ever since I first heard it years ago. Also I’m consistently impressed by his good pronunciation of things, I remember in the Tunguska event episode of mystery files there were so many ppl from tbe area he was talking about shocked by how good his pronunciation was. And ive seen that so many times w him like, idk i just think thats very cool. He’s a genuinely really mature and respectful guy I think. Wise too. So much of his work has educated me, changed my worldview for the better, inspired me. Like He’s so talented ik i keep saying that but HE IS!

Like ok so. He can write both songs and stories beautifully. he’s wise as fuck and could probably be a philosopher. He can make puppets (and just tbc later season puppet history the puppets are not him, but in the early seasons afaik they were all him, so he is definitely skilled at that.), he can sing, he can voice act, his graphics and editing are off the charts, he’s educated and smart, hes funny. He’s so fuckinf cool.

also again getting parasocial here but I just really like how much of a zest for life the guy seems to have. And Honestly im impressed that he worked in retail, had actual trash thrown in his face by an angry customer (true story) and still came out it like “man the world sure is wonderful!”. What a guy. hm (kinda a rant/vent/i just wanna get things off my chest and actually TALK about whats been bothering me)

so. theres this person that has kind of been the cause of my recent mental lows/imposter syndrome getting worse/fear of connecting to people and general distance from literally every community i enter. i think ive ranted about them before. theyre a writer and in a community i used to be active in, and in the beginning i got along pretty well with them because we both enjoyed similar themes and metaphors in our writing but they ended up kind of dropping me, coincidentally at the same time they gave my actual writing/current wip a shot, and ever since then theyve been sub posting about me in really weird and elitist ways and it kind of had ruined my spirit, especially considering that i did really look up to them as a writer since theyre very into actual technicalities, writing theory, they speak about writing very academically. their odd vague posting ended up seriously knocking down my confidence and ive been spiraling into this strange mindset ever since that i’m incredibly stupid/can never improve/am not a real or proper writer by virtue of the things i write. they talk highly about writing techniques and concepts every writer needs to know, very subtly punch down at those who dont seem to know, yet dont care to make that knowledge easy to understand or accessible to obtain.

on top of that theyve been getting quite close with another new friend i made recently thats very dear to me and seeing them talk about things i cant seem to keep up with because i am too ‘stupid’ has just made me very anxious and brought up old feelings and fears that ive worked very hard on to let go off. this person is keeping me from interacting with a community i love because i cant seem to get ovr the fact that some people just dont like me, because im getting paranoid, because i think their every word is directed towards me, because theyre popular and well liked and everyone always agrees with them, even when what they say goes against what what i do and like.

it really sucks, its been bothering me so much, especially the fact that i cant just let it go. that i cant just ignore them and move on and do what i like without feeling like its wrong or cringe or weird. everytime i think im ready to go back i suddenly see them talking again with my friends that have offered me so much support whenever ive opened up about my struggles and now they suddenly agree and praise that person for having opinions that directly oppose me and the things they were so keen on supporting me on.

but recently i remembered something they said. they said that they dont want to be self indulgent in their writing, that ‘there’s nothing necessarily wrong with self indulgence but it reflects in the writings quality’, that you can ‘tell’ and they dont like that. when they first posted that i just read it and went. oh :( my writing is self indulgent :( does this reflect in my quality as well? is that why they dropped my writing and me, because i like being loud about self indulgence and cringe? and now i remembered that post, and suddenly it kind of clicked

this person very obviously does not write for the same reason as i do. they very obviously do not feel about writing thhe way i feel about it. they talk about it as though it is a science. like its something that needs to be perfected. now, it’s clear that they do love writing, that they have a passion for it, and their technical knowledge very much reflects on their art- and that impresses people. im not like that. i want to learn writing techniques and i want to improve my craft and i want to be taught, properly so, i obviously want to be a good writer, and im going to be a little self obsessed and say that i am a good writer, or at least not a bad one. but there is a difference in how each of us sees writing.

i want to be self indulgent. i want to write what i love. i fucking love writing and story telling and yes, the fact hat my writing is self indulgent does impact the quality of my work, because it makes it better. i am passionate about my worlds and stories and characters because its exactly what i want it to be and thats why is fucking good. because it makes me want to put effort in and learn how to get better. i dont write for a grade, i dont write to make something perfect and deep and meaningful and serious, i dont write to impress someone, i dont write to squeeze as many smart things and references to classic literature in as i can, i write because i want to fucking write what i like.

so im stupid. so im cringe and bad and insecure and a loser and i dont fit into the good writers club but at least what i write makes me happy. whatever. let some fucking whimsy into your life and stop treating me like im an idiot for having different motivations than you.

But i think the way they look weird is that max doesnt like pda when he is racing and kelly being a spoiled brat always forces him to. Is this a problem? Yes. But its clearly not getting between them and its his problem that he cant draw boundries even tho he rarely sees her. or this is his kink he likes to be overpowered by women, he is a libra after all 💀 again, this becomes a dynamic but its not an omen for breakup. they dont see this issue as a deal breaker because they are still together.

(disclaimer: i will say first that my japanese is not very good and i'm also not very familiar with other LDH groups so anyone pls correct me if im wrong!! i wouldn't be surprised if fanta is more casual about it,, so i'm not super confident about it but this is my general impression!!)

from my understanding fanta (and LDH as a whole) actually tend to be quite strict with honorifics and formal speech. i remember just recently seeing a video of some Johnny Company groups on tv with some LDH members where they discussed the LDH high five rule, which is that kouhai must ALWAYS high five senpais with two hands

the J company members were very shocked (and maybe impressed?) by this because J company groups will apparently be quite casual with senpais

i won't speak to other groups because I'm not familiar with them, but in Fanta the members tend to be very strict with calling each other formally. all younger members will call members older than them with "name-kun" (except sekai, every member calls him sekai-san) and use honorific speech. Keito always calls nacchan as "horinatsu-kun" because he is younger, as does sota (though sota will also occasionally use "hori-san")

and all of this is despite many members knowing each other for 10+ years or being childhood friends (keito still speaks formally with sawa and horinatsu still calls leiya "leiya-kun". though from what i can think of, whenever horinatsu refers to shota, he does not use -kun), so i would say ldh is just very strict about it.🤷‍♀️ there is even a weird case with sawa and taiki, where sawa is older but taiki is the senpai so they both call each other taiki-kun and natsuki-kun (or sometimes sawa-san)

however i will say that while they are strict, because fanta is obviously very close the times i can think of off the top of my head where a younger member will drop honorifics, the older member will call them out, but they never actually seem very bothered (like with horinatsu, he is still laughing while hitting keito, and im pretty sure keito didn't apologize)

others i can think of are leiya calling taiki with no honorifics here (at 1:04): the question is "who do you think is most improved since debut" and leiya just says "taiki" and taiki yells "don't call me without honorifics!" but is still just laughing, and leiya does not apologize

and taiki dropping to informal speech while talking to sekai here (at 2:03). the question is "please tell us a good point of the next member!" which in this case is taiki, and taiki says "please tell me! (informally)" and sekai says "why are you speaking informally?" and taiki and the members just laugh🥰

in terms of using formal vs informal speech in general there are some members that i have definitely seen drop them from time to time (like yusei to leiya and sota to yusei) but even then they will always still call the older one with -kun

though all of this is to say its very possible that they are just like this in front of the camera to follow ldh rules and are very friendly and informal behind camera but i cant speak to that;;🙇‍♂️

theres nothing wrong with metalor but it unfortunately does fall into my "red flag ship" category

ill reiterate my definition of that again for people who didnt catch it in my last rant: what i call red flag ships are ships that are totally fine on paper, but for some reason the shippers and fandom culture surrounding it are just rancid and it throws me off liking the ship all together. and then i get kinda sussed out by people who ship it

honestly i have never gotten the appeal of this one or understood the dynamic at all. and thats fine of course. i did try reading a couple fics about it even, and in them its usually like. meta doing some shit that makes absolutely no sense under the guise of "he has a good reason for it" that just Coincidently happens to land him and magolor into some relationship-implying situation. and also the "good reason" meta knight had for doing whatever was not a good reason and was in fact a huge stretch of a reason for sake of moving the relationship along quicker. which you know i dont shame at all, i get that sometimes you just want to get to the juicy shit and people are absolutely allowed to do that, but that really just sums up my feelings on the ship entirely lol. stretches and stretches of reasonings for them to get together that dont entirely, or sometimes even remotely, make sense but okay they end up together in the end somehow 🤷

the fact that the ship is the two most popular and thirsted over men in the series together is the reason why this one lands into red-flag territory im so sorry. it attracts some um. interesting people who end up being somewhat pretentious about their own interpretations on the characters and some people get a little scary or intense about it. also of course occasionally their relationship being boiled down to whoever ships them nonstop thirsting for both of them but thats like just fandom culture for you, i really cant judge. people do that with metadede too to be fair. also a lot of metalor shippers ive seen are just downright mean for some reason. anyone else notice that or have i just been running into bad people

i Do think its possible to ship this one in a healthy manner. actually even in a not healthy matter as long as youre explicit about it being not healthy and its just one of those ships you find interesting due to the drama. ive read metasusie fics where it was explicitly about how fucked up the relationship can be and theyre very very fascinating from a story and character perspective if you want to explore a tragically evil but still nuanced susie. i would say highly recommend, but i dont actually because a lot of them just lean into weird unnecessary torture porn. its somewhat of a fine line between tasteful and untasteful

ANYWAYS brief tangent aside, i think its possible to ship this one in a healthy manner because you know me i would be a hypocrite to bash an enemies to lovers ship, but it obviously relies on susie needing to recognize her faults and make up to meta knight in some way, plus improve as a person in general. its somewhat of a grey area depending on various factors, both game and real life perspective-wise, how redeemable one considers the whole mechanization and dehumanization though so i dont blame people who absolutely dont trust the ship

people will try to make the excuse that they have headcanon or interpretation differences that lighten the whole endeavor, which yeah that fair. you can imagine mecha knight was just some suit they put over him rather than anything invasive like a lot of people think. thats absolutely fair. you can imagine that meta knight still retains parts of his super star personality where he was kinda okay with the mechanization in some twisted personal ambition way because hes a power hungry guy who will take any means necessary to be stronger. thats also pretty fair. ah you think this is sounding favorable to the metasusie shippers huh. thinking about stormtail and his relationship with his family & his clan (CW: grooming)

his relationship with moonflower, best case scenario, is really sketchy. he was best friends with a child and started dating her immediately when she became an adult. worst case scenario, he was grooming her.

and like. this is a small, tight-knit community of like 30 people. there's no way people didn't talk about this. there's no way nobody was like "hey don't u think it's weird that stormtail was dating a child?" if u ignore the way that, up until recently, warrior cats didn't really care about the implications of warrior/apprentice relationships, it's possible this could've soured his reputation in the clan.

that could've lead to him distancing himself from his family. he's very distant after Moonflower has his kits, especially towards those kits. he only seems to care for them when they make him look good. which makes sense, in a way; if having these kits at all is souring his reputation, it's in his selfish best interest to ignore their existence unless they can improve it.

he starts flirting with dappletail shortly before moonflower dies. it's a combination of multiple things; the way his relationship with moonflower is ruining his reputation, the fact that he cant get away from his kits without also getting away from her, the desire for a younger, prettier woman. but this doesn't help him much; now word goes around that he's using the women in his life, that he'll throw away dappletail when a younger woman shows up. so their relationship never becomes official, and they have an on-again-off-again sort of thing. they're both close and distant at the same time.

when dappletail has her first litter, the father is unclear. cricketkit looks strikingly like stormtail, but featherkit is far too white to be his. dappletail confirms nor denies nothing about her kits parentage; as far as she's concerned, these are her kits and hers alone. stormtail refuses and contact with them and insists they're not his. they noticeably stop interacting after this point. the rumors continue. bluefur stops talking to him at all past this point, seeing his supposed kits with dappletail and his complete lack of relationship with them as the nail in the coffin. he doesn't care. whether or not he's telling the truth when he insists this is unclear.

hey im struggling. i feel like i always end up in this weird state no matter how much i try, i feel like i keep failing. i made myself way too tired this weekend and i have been trying to be present thru everything even when things are going bad, but today i really struggled because i had a raging headache bc i was too tired and then i had to suffer thru lunch and then i threw up bc the lunch was bad and then it took me a long time to figure out how to fix it and then i cancelled dinner plans which made me feel better because i was dreading having to make conversation but now that i dont have dinner plans i can chill at home but my issue is why do i dread both outcomes, it feels like i cant be happy regardless of what i choose and i just feel so stuck because no matter how much i try to be my own friend it feels like im constantly working against myself and self sabotaging like i think i wouldve had a very different week if i gave myself rest this weekend and was able to come here with more energy and it didnt help that i had my period which made my anemia worse. when i had just found out about my anemia i was so good about taking my supplements and eating well but as soon as i started feeling a little better i forgot all about taking care of myself. it feels this way constantly where i am able to focus on the thing that is important to me for a while but then something happens, and the pain seeps in again, and i self sabotage and things feel bad and i start dissociating and making poor decisions. i know the best way is to keep fighting, to keep correcting the voice in my head that tells me im a piece of shit that will never improve and i know that once i start exercising more regularly and feeling good in my body that it will help me to be nicer to myself and i know all i can do is pick myself up from the current point and do better instead of wallowing in the sadness of having dissociated once again. the thing is i know im doing better little by little every day that i try and all i need to do is try. i just gotta keep making the good decisions as often as i can even if it means i cant make them every and especially after i come out of a haze of having made a string of bad decisions. i think it is just really difficult to be present with the idea that 1. i am the only one responsible for how tired and bad i feel because i spent too much time socializing this weekend. 2. i keep socializing because i have this incessant need to be with people so i don't have to face my fear of being alone bc being alone means that i will have to go back to dark and sad places in my past and there will be no one around to comfort me. 3. despite knowing all this, i still sometimes make the bad choice because it feels good in the moment and more importantly fulfills this need school age me had of wanting to fit it but the thing is this need never feels satisfied and even when it does it doesn't feel very meaningful because i changed myself to get there. i know that the reason i feel bad all the time is because i dont want to accept that i have to experience some sad emotions from the past but the only way out is thru and i dont understand how to teach the concepts of cause and effect to someone (me) who has constantly sacrificed everything for some version of validation that doesnt even feel good, being popular feels pointless because its based on other peoples views of you but i just want to have a positive view of myself. that's why it felt so easy to be with my ex because it was easy to believe in the positive view he had of me but somehow it's so hard for me to see myself how he saw me. i guess all this to say, how do i get out of these cycles of self sabotage then dissociating then having to pick myself back up and start again trying to be present and hoping that this time i dont self sabotage and i dont dissociate after doing it?

Like, i wasnt around pre-2015 so i cant read you the truly ancient texts, but i can tell you that yahoo litterally almost wrecked the site. Like, yahoo era staff implemented the infamous porn ban. Yahoo era staff would make much-loved features into a shitshow while also trying to force tumblr culture into a neat, easily sold little box for advertisements. The porn ban was the first of many updates that would get people putting out stuff like posts about how they had such a good time here and theyre sad its going down along with links to other social media for how to contact them, etc. At one point we litterally did not have real ads, we were just getting those test ads that IT folk use to benchmark ad campaign functionality because we were the cheapest possible site to do so on and litterally no real advertisers wanted to advertise to us because we were *that* unprofitable of a market

As you can imagine, we did not like staff that much. Much of reacting to updates and staff culture is rooted in that era

However, then yahoo sold to wordpress (for only a few million when they bought us at billions, we cost them 3 billion and yes that is a point of pride), and wordpress staff has actually been like, better?

They had some false starts where they were obviously attempting to do stuff that would have worked on any of their other blogging based websites they run but crashed and burned with how tumblr functioned and users reacted, and there was also a period where they did basically nothing to us because we mighta scared them with our strong reaction to those false starts?

(Which, then we had to do some campaigns to remind everyone that hey if we want tumblr to stay up it does actually need to be able to make money, so maybe dont bite wordpress's attempts so hard yknow, they were off base but they were way better than yahoos shit)

But then! They came out with fucking bangers like suddenly they had taken ideas from the community and we were being? Catered to??? Like they put out tumblr blaze and the crabs and both were met with abject joy we were like holy shit of all the ways to make money we love this please do this more, i remember how absolutely surreal it felt to have something staff did actually improve the site

Theyre being a bit weird and fucky again with how they keep testing stuff from other social media on tumblr and seeing what sticks (side eyeing tumblr live) but also its mostly just sorta weird and sometimes good and sometimes bad, so its way better than before when all we got was horrifically bad and broken shit

So uh tl;dr - litterally every update and new feature and change staff puts out is met with complaining and theres a culture of "what the fuck is staff doing now /neg", but theyre actually pretty decent nowadays

Tumblr staff is probably ecstatic every time another big social media site does something fucking stupid, because it makes their porn ban look less stupid every year, plus they get to win by passively being functional as the others are gutted and strung up like slaughtered pigs for the capitalism meat industry.

Like Tumblr's CEO wakes up to a million notifications from underlings who are like omg you'll never guess what Twitter did today lol, and he fucking fist pumps before he eats his Cheerios.

Okay sooo I really like the trope of a reader with a weak immune system so imagine that no hospital is able to help you for so long and then you're admitted to this hospital. The doctor you have been assigned to is claimed to be the best doctor in the country. You remember the first time you met him.

You're sick and tired from moving from hospital to hospital. But then you see this man — a crow-like mask covering his eyes and blue hair combed in a neat yet messy way — striding in your room while a petite man in a white and purple nurse's outfit follows him. You recognise that man as that ill-tempered nurse that has been watching over you from afar. You have mixed feelings about being in his care. As the nurse informs the doctor about your condition, the doctor flashes you a toothy smirk before taking your hand in his and kissing the top of it.

"What a poor little thing. Don't worry, from now on, you're in good hands."

Somehow the way he says it is very ominous...

Surprisingly, he rumors were true. With the doctor's specialised treatment, your condition has improved drastically. The doctor — he tells you to call him Dottore — says you can even be discharged in a few months time. It's truly a miracle but somehow...the thought of you leaving this place without seeing your nurse and doctor again arises a little pang in your chest.

Nurse Scaramouche is definitely as ill-tempered as they say. He brings you your meals with a scowl, glares at you from afar and it's like the only reason he sticks by you is to insult you for hours. One time when Dottore was giving you your medicine, you brought up the idea of changing your nurse.

"Is that so? On the contrary, I think he's rather fond of you."

"What makes you say that, Doctor?"

"He never puts this much effort to care for any of his patients. You're the first. I'd say that you...interest him."

That guy? Interested in you? You couldn't possibly picture that. But then slowly, you do realise the subtle details. From the way Nurse Scara would glare at other nurses that touched you or whispered behind your back, to the way he would 'reluctantly' comfort you when you felt miserable for being too weak to do the most menial of tasks, it's through these things that make you grow an appreciation for him.

Soon enough, you realise you're enamoured with both of them, and their feelings are mutual.

It's then when the 'treatment' becomes...promiscuous. It starts off with Dottore putting his palm on your thigh for too long, stroking it up and down way too close to your nether region or even placing his stethoscope on your chest for too long as he roams his palm around your chest for a heartbeat. Then it turns to Scara fingering/stroking you in the middle of the night when you can't sleep while you whimper for more.

This weird predicament feels so odd. Almost wrong. But you're aware they both know you want them. And when they touch you, you crave for more, you need more. It just feels so right.

One night, Dottore and Scara comes into your room with a little reward for putting up with all those exhausting treatments: a syringe filled with bright pink liquid. You recognise it since Scaramouche showed and explained to you various types of medicine to lull you to sleep after a nightmare.

"I'm scared of shots."

Dottore's chest rumbles as he chuckles. "That's fine. Scaramouche has ways of calming you down. Take off your pants and we'll do the rest."

With shaking hands, you remove your pants and sit on Dottore's lap. Immediately, Scaramouche goes to his knees and buries his face in between your legs.
