DEMO // PLAYLIST
Flirting with Death is a 18+ Otome-like action dark romance in the form of an interactive fiction. The game focus will be mostly into character and relationships development, exploring how you interact with the world and the reactions to your decisions.
Take charge of Eris, a newly (and forcibly) inducted operative of a shadowy organization, as she enters a world way more twisted from what she is already used to.
The game will be released chapter by chapter and it will be entirely free after completion!
Tumblr media
You died. For all your life, you have been making bad decisions after bad decisions and this time your luck ran out. During your years working with the wrong side of the law you had seen the good, the bad, and the ugly. What you never expected was that your choices would take you into a maze of lies and backstabbing capable to bring countries to their knee. Something big is happening and you are not in the small leagues anymore. To bring down titans you will have to ally yourself with the shady HADES Project, a group with dubious objectives and even more dubious reasons. In a race against time you will have to do the unthinkable before it is too late. There is no right or wrong in this game and the stake is your second chance in life. The clock is ticking. Grab your power suit. Gather your allies. And remember: Trust no one.
Tumblr media
Play as a female gender locked protagonist;
Customize your Eris: decide on your past, specialization, appearance, and attributes, bringing your character to life;
Romance one of the 3 initial ROs, each of them having their own unique route that explore the story trough different perspectives;
Make  decisions that impact the people around you for the good or the bad;
Use state of the art never-seen-before technology, including your very own power suit so you will never die (again!) during a mission;
Choose between 5 classes that will assist you during the various dangers that will follow you and your team as you try to solve the mystery;
Be a a righteous vigilante or a complete menace to society;
Kick a billionaire in the face (or not)!
Tumblr media
This game is rated +18. Not only it will touch on heavy subjects, but it will also contain:
Graphic depctions of violence; Strong language; Unhealthy coping mechanisms; Guns and gun violence; Manipulation tactics; Explicit sex (if chosen); Taboo relationship; Toxic relationship; Mature content; (This list will be updated if and when necessary!)
Yes, the protagonist is gender locked: This is my first time coding an IF and I didn't want to bit off more than I could chew. Not only that, I wanted to mix the otome/josei genre with the interactive format. Maybe it will work, maybe not.
This game is a ROMANCE first and foremost: You will not be able to opt out of it. I am aware that some people are not fond of this type of content and yes, you as a player will have the choice to have (or not!) sexual content/pda, but you will not be able to get out of locking into a romantic route.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Cold, cynical, and incredibly sardonic, Phobos is all objective, giving up on any and all distractions and not being afraid to do whatever it is necessary for the greater good. His no-nonsense attitude and his constant tries to intimidate anyone into submission turned him infamous in the organization. His morality is almost black and he doesn’t care about the sacrifices that he needs to do to obtain the desired result. Killing for him is second nature, but most of times he will let Deimos talk him down from his murderous rampage. At least until he decides that the more approachable way is not being efficient anymore.
Tumblr media
Friendly, good natured, and helpful. Everyone who knows Deimos has the impression that the man is not fit for this kind of work. He is well regarded by anyone across HADES and normally tries to resolve everything without violence, doing a really good work as a “face” in his Kerberos Unit. But don’t be mistaken, even preferring to not harm innocents, Deimos is a perfect killing machine, honed by his past to be the perfect assassin and torturer. He has an approachable personality, but when working he only focus on the job that needs to be done. Can be quiet work focused and hyper fixate on the mission, which feeds his insomnia.
Tumblr media
With zero chills to give and almost always having and anxiety attack due to Phobos and Deimos shenanigans, his boyish appearance masks very well his personality and he constantly runs with the power of coffee and spite. As a handler he is extremely methodical and professional, being proficient with first aid, tech, engineering, and plan making, even if his ADHD tries as hell to hinder his plans. Being a genius, he mostly always lose patience with stupidity and prefer to work by himself. Chaos is the youngest handler in HADES history and by far one of the most respected, at least by name, since he is the only one capable to make Phobos and Deimos to actually shut up with just a glare. Can be a tad dramatic and fatalist, but he rarely is wrong. His favorite phrase is “I ain’t paid enough to deal with this shit” (Yes, he is.).

how do u like get into da2 bc ive only finished it twice (compared to my 7 complete origins playthrus) and its just so like unsatisfying to me like roleplay wise. it just feels so hard to build a character and a unique story which sucks bc i like some parts of the game!! its just hard to get thru the everything else about it
at some point i’m not going to be the best person to answer this because i have the opposite problem but !! i did have an initial playthrough of da2 that is like. nothing to me bc it was so generic so i guess i did develop from that point
i think using the “colour system” of personality to its fullest really helps. especially having a “secondary colour” to use for flavour or in certain situations? if you’re struggling with your character feeling unique from other people’s characters, i would recommend avoiding primarily purple to begin with... as fun as it is, it’s kind of considered default for hawke. not to push my own agenda but for example, trying out a primarily red hawke can really refresh the game without losing entertainment value. and a blueish red and purplish red are really different, and where you use that blue or purple really alters things. and i would recommend rivalling at least one companion... let your hawke have some opinions instead of just being blank slate to win everyone over
idk da2 is the kind of developing a character i love so it’s hard for me to explain the appeal. it gives you a set of really specific circumstances and you get to decide what kind of a person those circumstances create. here are some of the major questions that distinguish one of my hawkes from another:
how do they feel about the magic in their family? do they value it or resent its dangers?
how do they feel about being the eldest sibling, pushed into protecting and leading the family? did they accept that? does the pressure weigh? how does that affect their memory of their father and their relationship with leandra?
does their father have elven heritage, or heritage from another part of thedas? how does that affect their experiences in and out of their home? do they want to engage with or ignore that part of themselves?
what did they do before the game starts? where did they get and practice their skillset?
what makes them choose the spells and abilities they use? what specialisation do they take and why? who taught it to them?
do they care about their appearance? do they care about conforming to gender norms? how do they want to look and why? do they achieve it?
do they wish they could return to ferelden, or is kirkwall their home?
are they just doing all this to protect their family and stay out of the templars’ reach, or are they ambitious? do they want money? power? the luxuries of hightown? the ability to really change things? the status their mother told stories about? do those priorities change?
what are afraid of? how do the dangers they face every day affect them? which quests linger in their memory? how do those traumas affect their decision making?
have they ever been in love before? what are they looking for in a romantic partner? is the person they fall for what they would’ve gone for, or a surprise? what is it about their romance that made them fall for them? do they hold their parents’ romance as a perfect fairytale ideal or a fate to avoid?
maybe you can’t do anything you like with a hawke, but get a few unique ideas and a cohesive and interesting enough combination of the yes/no questions, or pick an answer to one of these questions that really grabs you and take that as far as you can to its natural extreme as the centre point of their character, and you can really do a lot
(and don’t be afraid to let them have answers to the above questions that you disagree them/that are morally imperfect!!!)

some thoughts on relationship anarchy
I am very fascinated by the concept of relationship anarchy, but I'm not sure I quite understand it.
I--well, I tend not to like using the term when asked to explain my political position, as it can simplify my views a bit much and it comes with some, uhm, unfortunate notions, that I don't wish to associate myself with, but, ideology wise, I would identify myself as an anarchist.  And as anarchism is a philosophy, and I don’t think that’s too grandiose a term,  that's intent on abolishing all oppressive systems and hierarchies, people who are in favor of that, also tend to lean toward preferring liberation from all sorts, even systems that aren't necessarily inherently oppressive.
It's also why I'm, as previously discussed, fascinated by gender abolitionism. Which isn't something I deem as an absolute necessity, but that I personally think would be to benefit. Anyway, the point is, that's how I was also introduced to the idea of relationship anarchy.
Now, relationship anarchy is the application of anarchist principles to relationships, so it's quite explicitly anti-amatonormative, anti-hierarchical, and usually, but not necessarily so, non-monogamous.
The term was coined by Andie Nordgren (a Swede, yay!), or at least popularized, in her essay; "The short instructional manifesto for relationship anarchy" (which you can read yourself here; https://theanarchistlibrary.org/library/andie-nordgren-the-short-instructional-manifesto-for-relationship-anarchy…), thst includes eight points that make up this philosophy.
Tumblr media
My confusion arises when it is either vague or stuff that should be obvious in any relationship. One of the points is that love is abundant and every relationship is unique, basically that romantic relationships are not more important than friendships, which I like.
Tumblr media
I've talked about it before (on Twitter that is), how I don't understand how people just get over their romantic love whenever they find a new person and the same applies here. I don't like viewing people with preconceptions or labels, as just people who satisfy my certain needs, if that makes sense? I think we should be able to love multiple people at the same time, I don't think any relationship is inherently more valuable than the other, but at the same time, not ranking or comparing relationships at all seems a bit off, cause obviously we'll just like some people more? But, if I've understood it correctly, is it just that a romantic relationship shouldn't inherently be the primary one of yours? This makes sense, but if it's that all people in our lives we should care for equally, I mean, that's just not the case.
The next point, I won't go through them all, don’t worry, but it is "love and respect instead of entitlement", that we should let our loved ones choose their own paths that keep their integrity intact without stopping them just so they'll fit our needs. This I 100% agree with.
Tumblr media
I have always been for open relationships. It just makes sense to me. Even as a child, well, maybe not a child, but a young(er) boy. Altho, keep in mind that these are just my views and how I interpret my own feelings, by no means am I saying this is how it should be for all.
But, to me, love is unconditional. If it’s not unconditional, it’s not love. So if your relationship is love and it’s unconditional, then that’s the definition of open. You care about that other person. As soon as you say, ”alright I’ll do this for you BUT here’s what you have to do in return”, it’s no longer love, it’s a deal now. It's a negotiation. You do this for me, I’ll do that for you. So if it’s really love, it has to be an open relationship.
Whatever that person needs, whatever they feel that they have to do, whatever they need in order to learn and grow and experience, you need to support that because you love them. And it’s not like, ”oh I’ll support this much of it but these other things, nah, that’s off limits you can’t do that”. Well, that’s a conditional relationship. But, ofc, open relationships sound very scary because there's fear that you won’t get what you want or what you need or that what you have will disappear. But that comes from a fear that if you don’t control things they will bite you. It’s this idea that we have to control everything for it to come out the way we want it to. And yes, open relationships automatically do mean that your partner(s) can go have sexual and romantic relationships with other people if they so desire. Ofc, you can still cheat if you just lie and hide it and stuff, you know, but yeah. This means I am also for stuff like polyamory. I don't mind monogamy, but more than one actual romantic relationship might be a bit too much to juggle for me, so I might just stick to open. But then again, I'm not even in a relationship with one person yet, so no rush lol.
But now, back to the relationship anarchy manifesto, every other point is more or less just obvious stuff, like trust and communication are key? Yeah, that's how every relationship works.
Tumblr media
And it just kind of makes me confused about what the difference then between open relationships and relationship anarchy really is unless it's just that very first point that all relationships are equal?I am very fascinated by the concept of relationship anarchy, but I'm not sure I quite understand it.
Having read up on this concept a bit, I think I understand it now.
I understood the idea of not valuing a romantic relationship higher than a platonic one, but then I wondered, how about if you just like spending more time with your romantic partner? Especially when it's all new and butterfly-like.
I agreed with the idea that a romantic relationship shouldn't inherently be the most important one simply because of its nature, but was relationship anarchy implying that I should value all relationships equally as if
I like all of those people the same amount and want to spend an equal amount of time with everyone?
This was my initial confusion, but I got it clarified that relationship anarchy is not saying that, in fact, the opposite.
All relationships are relationships, so you should treat each relationship/person the way the specific situation calls for, the way you want to. And if "the way you want to" strengthens the autonomy of other people and yourself, it’s hard to go wrong.
More not valuing the romantic relationship more simply because that's the socially expected hierarchy of relationships, but valuing whichever relationship more just based on whichever one you want to spend time with at the moment, regardless of norms of how it should be.In other words, rather than having a relationship that you assign to the class of "platonic friends" or "romantic partners", each relationship begins without any rubric, and together you figure out what you want to do together.
Your relationship is a unique element that needs to be understood on its own terms. Maybe that's picnic buddies. Maybe it's playing video games and occasionally kissing. Maybe it's talking on the phone once a week.
Maybe it's you cheering them on whenever they find a new relationship. What subjects do you talk about, and are there any that you avoid? The point is that these aren't external prescriptions for how we ought to conduct our relationship.
And I like that. I've always felt that I want to meet people and connect with them on whatever level feels natural; so there should be no preconceptions about how this may happen. I do not want to care about labels. I do not want to pre-determine what kind of relationship
I may have with another person; neither because of relationships that I already have, nor because of looking for a certain kind of person. I just do not want to view other people in a functionary fashion, as people who satisfy certain needs. For example, there may be someone who you really enjoy spending time with, who you share amazing chemistry with, who makes you laugh like no other, and who you have amazing sex with; but because of their internal demons, the issues they need to work through or simply their peculiar idiosyncracies, they may not make a suitable partner if they were expected to fulfill the role of a typical monogamous partner. Maybe they have substance abuse issues or something, or they may be on housing benefits, or not good with finances.
They may not share very many common hobbies. I'm just making shit up, I dunno, but the point is that they may not score gold on all categories, but for the categories that are relevant to the relationship, they may be wonderful.
And since resonant relationships are hard to come by, why ruin them because of socially imposed expectations? Why stop enjoying the parts of your relationship that do work for the two of you simply because they can't fulfill all goals that a typical partner should?
Or why necessarily drop an ex even as a friend, if a friendship works fine? It just feels nonsensical to cut ties with a relationship like this just because of their individual struggles or specific differences. We all have our struggles, and we can't all share the same hobbies.
Relationship Anarchy would be great because you're not adhering to societal needs. When you don't have specific societal needs, you don't put so much unfair expectations on this person. Then, you're able to enjoy the relationship for the beauty that it is.Really, people practice this kind of thing lightly already with not having kids or marrying their partners. I don't want kids either. I don't think I even want to get married. Having a ceremony and all sounds lovely, but requiring a church/state to legitimize it is fucked up.
No "higher power" should say yes or no to this kind of decision. I don't want to contribute to that. We could just say we're married. I guess there are financial benefits and other rights that might be worth it considering the situation but (another reason it's fucked up).
This is probably more complicated for someone who's more outgoing, one of the reasons I’m interested in poly is that I don't meet many people lol. I require a lot of time by myself and maybe can’t easily spend enough time with someone to fully meet their needs for intimacy, sex, or whatever. Being poly would allow my partner(s) to be free to pursue fulfillment, and you know, since I meet so few people, I’m not sure I can really afford to turn down a connection when the rare one occurs lol.
And people say, you know, but what about jealousy in a poly relationship? Well. Jealousy, like ALL emotions, is a guide. It's a compass trying to show you something about yourself, your choices, your fears. The emotion itself is neither good nor bad.
What you do with it is what's important. How you use it to make better choices. Since I meditate, I've naturally gravitated to the Buddhist approach to tackling emotions; "Remember that you aren't being jealous, you're feeling jealous."
Jealousy is not who you are, simply what you're feeling. It may not make it any less painful, but if you can know that it will pass, over time you will find it much less difficult and distressing to deal with. Then again, it’s not like I’m in a relationship or anything now either way, so it’s not urgent for me to figure this out. I just thought about it cause when I encountered relationship anarchy, it didn’t sound like a belief system: it sounded like common sense.
Like the way things 'are', like the way that everyone should think about the world and act. So, I was confused about how it was described as stuff that had apparently been figured out and was untypical in reality.
But that's the thing, right? When it comes to either life philosophies or political ideologies, if you've stayed pretty consistent most of your life and you then encounter those systems of thoughts, they just feel obviously right to you.Not to run a propaganda machine or anything, but it's why I'm so attracted to anarchism. Not just because I believe it's the most effective framework for understanding how the world works (which includes organizing principles, strategies, tactics, etc), but also because anarchism as an ideology has a bigger philosophical reach than most since its implications are also moral, they affect every aspect of my life outside just political work. How I conduct myself as a human being.
And as it ideally is, an ideology is not something you choose to support. It's who you are, and you finally just happened to have found a name for it, which can help you broaden your horizons in similar directions. But anyway, I'm just musing.

lot of spirit / part of spirit
hii babies, i'm back! in this post, our focus is on our lot of spirit ✨
lot of spirit tells us about where we can experience abundance in life
it is also believed by some astrologers that this placement in our chart shows how our spirit guides are like
so i'm just gonna connect those two and say it's your higher self whispering in your ear how your soul can find satisfaction hahah
its formula is ascendant + moon - sun
however, to find where your lot of spirit is located, you can simply go to astro.com, choose “free horoscopes” and then “extended chart selection”
from house systems, choose “whole signs” and write "37452" to the additional objects part, and there it is!
you can also access to my masterpost, here 🎈
it’s a long post so i cut it from here 🧚🏻‍♀️
lot of spirit in aries / 1st house
very passive earlier in life, you probably didn't like arguments and confrontation
and gave in easily bc you didn't wanna be alone
which means u might have been taken for granted a lot
you have learnt / are learning / should learn (lol sorry...) how to overcome this fear of yours tho
let people come to you and when the time comes, let them go, to let abundance in your life
once you get the hang of it, your need for indepence will take over and you'll see success comes easily with your leadership abilities 🌸
lot of spirit in taurus / 2nd house
you might not have felt good enough while growing up
in relationships, you might be the one who is more giving
pulling back from intense people might be good for you because you are prone to sacrificing yourself
and what you need is your own sense of "self", what you need is "you" separately
you are probably drawn to people who are wealthy and materalistic
others might challenge your self development but this is the area you need to work on anyways ✨
lot of spirit in gemini / 3rd house

you might need to work on mind flexibility 🕊
lot of spirit in cancer / 4th house
family approval is important to you, uou feel like you need to belong somewhere, anywhere
because you might not have felt the emotional connection you wanted to feel as a child
the lack of emotional connection might have been with one parent or both; they might have been aloof or distant, physically or emotionally
in relationships, you may feel responsible like you need to carry the traditional roles of a gender
you like knowing what's going to happen, it might give you a feeling of security
having a job that where you take care of others will probably be good for you 🦄
lot of spirit in leo / 5th house
you might feel like you haven't been a child really, or you haven't had fun a lot
you might have grown up in an area with people that are very different than you
you wanted to be popular, but those differences did not really let you
and feeling neglected by your peers probably blocked your creativity and heart chakra
you might have developed a wall around you, which you think protects your self esteem but the only thing it does is not let love in
you should learn how to be comfortable letting that wall down and reach out to others 💖
lot of spirit in virgo / 6th house
you might have grown up having to out a standart for certain stuff
you might have felt like you had to do what you were told, and you put high standarts to do those things, in order to get your parents' attention
however, this probably led you to put too much effort into everything you did
which might have made you feel like you were responsible for anything and everything
you might have a tendency to take things too personally
high standarts are good, don't get me wrong, but it might feel good to not critisize yourself and others too much and let things loose a little 🎈
lot of spirit in libra / 7th house
you love harmony and getting along and all that, but when you see unjustice, whoops 👀
you can't stand that shit. but good for you!
when you defend someone who feels support, you feel good, it's like everything is as it's supposed to be
but while fighting for others, you might tend to ignore your own problems

fear of failure, ✨a lot✨ which makes you driven to use your full potential in like anything
people might try to use their power on you, which triggers your sense of defence
you need to trust, but it's hard for you, you need to feel like you are loved as who you are
doing your own thing and achieving your personal success will open doors for you 💸
lot of spirit in sagittarius / 9th house
you might not have felt confident enough while growing up
you might have been in situations where you felt like you had to speak up, but you just couldn't because of your lack of confidence
you have a philosophical approache to life and you love expanding your mentality
you're intuitive, you just know when someone is genuine or not
you don't like small talk, you want to dig deeper and deeper
following your intuition and avoiding gossip etc. is the best thing to do here 🎀
lot of spirit in capricorn / 10th house
you had to learn how to take responsibility at a younger age
you were probably someone to step back and observe, you might have felt suppressed and feared of stepping outta line
because you knew there were consequences to face after doing something
as you grow up, life has probably challenged you by leaving you in situations where you have to deal with self esteem, and eventually developing it
you might also like to challenge yourself and see how much more you can accomplish
you'll find a feeling of satisfaction by facing your fears, gaining control over who you are, making your goals clear and achieving them 👑
lot of spirit in aquarius / 11th house
you might have no or little control over your identity while growing up, and it might have affected your social life
you might have had mood swings every now and then, which probably made you feel like your life was full of ups and downs, like a rollercoaster
although you're a very friendly person, but you might have felt like you never fit in, so you learnt to rely on yourself only
you are still discovering yourself, and that's beautiful
expressing your unique ideas will make you meet people like you
however, you should overcome your impulsivity in order not to experience outbursts 🎈
lot of spirit in pisces / 12th house
you probably think you are here to help people
what makes you think this way is that there have been so many people who needed you
you try to see the best in people, and while that's good, sometimes your sight might get too cloudy, which could lead to not seeing red flags
whenever you feel like your energy is draining, you need to get away
you tend to bottle up your own problems, and open up when you feel like you can trust someone 100%
you may find it difficult to say no, but that's exactly what you should learn 💖

yandere!albedo x (gender neutral) reader art credit - miHoYo cw: nsfw elements, yandere, captivity/restraints, unhealthy behaviors note - please come home to me and take care on the journey, albedo! :D also kindly heed the warnings. thank you!
His eyes are unnaturally pretty. Like twin crystals glittering in an expansive, dismal cave, searching for secrets unheard of within Mondstadt. Somehow you’re always in his peripheral, not too close and yet impossibly far at the same time. The distance is harrowing, terribly so, and Albedo knows it should be nothing short of a coincidence. When he shows up at your quaint stall with Sucrose, claiming to be in need of the exact wares you happen to sell, you pay it no mind. After all, you’ve met your fair share of regulars, and their support is what keeps you afloat.
But there is more to those beautiful irises than he lets on. Whether it’s intentional or not, you can’t exactly say. You suppose you would rather run into someone as well-respected as Albedo as opposed to an unlikable stranger with ill intent. And it’s always great to see a familiar face, especially when he chooses to peruse your stall rather the others around you. It isn’t all that strange; you’ve even become friends with Sucrose during your short interactions. Albedo has indulged in stiff conversations with you before, but most of them were meaningless. Simple throwaway chatter between two acquaintances.
Oddly enough, Albedo finds himself wanting more. He doesn’t want to talk about the weather or the transitioning seasons; he wants to listen to you explain how your day was and if you made more profit than the day before that. He wants to stand there and immerse himself in your pleasant voice, ignorant to the hustle and bustle of the people around him. And yet he just can’t. For a variety of reasons that pull him out of the haze of intrigue, you’ll always remain in the background. And he simply can’t bear the thought of that.
It’s rude to deteriorate a relationship that’s only just begun to blossom. If your meager acquaintanceship with him were to wither away into dust, he would feel obligated to keep it going—as if he were simply beating a dead cow with a stick. Although your hobbies differ from his, it’s nothing he can’t handle. A genius must familiarize himself with other areas of study if he intends to craft solutions that are outside of the box.
“Albedo?”
Your tone is meek and small, tinged with the slightest shiver. Part of him feels bad for lying to you, but you were just so trusting. It’s almost comical how easily you fell into his trap. If he gets to see you in such a delicious way all the time, he’s more than willing to forsake the truth to meet his own desires. A selfish wish, yes, but it’s absolutely wonderful.
“What is it?”
He eyes you from his spot behind the easel, and even though you can’t see him you can feel his piercing gaze. Like the sun shining brightly in a wintry afternoon, his eyes smolder with unbearable heat and yet his expression is cold with brilliant focus.
“A-Are you almost done? It’s really cold.” Your bare back touches the wall and you flinch, an instinctual response that makes Albedo’s brow quirk. “And this is sort of...weird.”
“How so?”
He says that in such a dismissive manner, acting as if your current position isn’t compromising. As if this was a normal exchange between friendly strangers. You have trouble finding your voice in this situation, especially since talking seems like such a chore. You’re worried you’ll say the wrong thing and then it’ll leave a false imprint of who you are on Albedo. But you’ve always been nice, unable to refuse those who are kind in return, and so you’re forced to endure the discomfort that comes with modeling nude for this peculiar alchemist.
“Think about it.” You distract yourself with a ramble of an explanation—certainly more than what’s necessary, but Albedo doesn’t mind. He finds solace in your voice. “You’re looking at me and I’m...n-naked. And we don’t really know each other. I’m not trying to vilify you when I say this, but I don’t want you to do anything bad to me. N-Not that you would! It’s just—this is really weird. I’ve never done anything like this before.”
“Hm.”
“And do I have to be tied up like this?” You shuffle in your bindings, fingers scrabbling over the cuffs and chains that jingle like horrible sleigh bells.
“You were moving too much earlier. I won’t be able to get your anatomy right if you’re constantly fidgeting.”
But it’s uncomfortable, you think, chewing on your lip out of habit.
“I guess I understand. It must be an artist thing, right?”
“You could say that.”
His work on the canvas offers a display that’s just as lewd as the real model, down to the way your nipples perk and harden in the cold. He’s not even close to finishing and that’s a blessing in itself. He could stare at your figure for hours on end, committing every inch of your flesh to memory, and he wouldn’t grow weary.
“Do artists normally blindfold their models? I don’t really know anything about this stuff, but it’s okay if it helps with the process.”
“I find it to be interesting,” he answers, simple and vague as ever. “It adds a mysterious touch to the finished piece.”
“So you draw the model with the blindfold?” You’re used to gazing upon paintings of flowers and portraits of influential historical figures rather than blatant nudity. “Artists are definitely unique.”
Albedo hums in response, secretly reveling in your naïveté. At the end of the day, you’re just a normal citizen of Mondstadt, who stands behind a wooden stall every single day and happily chats with potential customers. You excel in business, but when it comes to the inner workings of art you’re at a loss. And that makes it all the more easier for Albedo to spin all sorts of wild tales. He fears that gullible nature will harm you in the future, yet there isn’t a threat in sight. Not when you’re here in front of him, no longer confined to his peripheral. And you’ll stay there for however long it takes him to finish this painting.
It’s a twisted infatuation. Albedo knows he shouldn’t take too much of your time or else he’ll become addicted and it will be impossible to focus on his studies. But he can’t stop himself or his wandering gaze, which trails up your midriff. Higher and higher until he’s staring at your face, eyes obscured behind the soft fabric of a blindfold. Your body is a temple he wishes to worship, and perhaps that’s a sacrilegious thought that ought to have him consider the weight of his emotions.
And yet you’re far too irresistible. His thoughts are dangerously potent, swirling within his brain like a maddening hurricane. Surely your missing presence in the market won’t be questioned if he were to keep you just a little longer. Longer than the boundaries of sanity will allow, that is. There are other vendors who sell the same things you boast; the economy won’t shatter if you’re not there to provide.
The paintbrush moves along the canvas in even strokes and suddenly Albedo’s mind is wandering between subjects. From art to alchemy, love to lust, and the wondrous crevices in your anatomy that call out to him. The brush stills in his hand. If he’s not mistaken, Sucrose will be stopping by to assist him and the last thing he needs is staining his appearance in a suspicious color.
“Albedo?” His name rolls off of your tongue in such a delectable way; it’s almost sinful how his thoughts race and race in an endless track. “Are you almost done? My back is sore and the floor’s really uncomfortable.”
“Sorry. This will take longer than I thought.” He sets his brush and palette down, and you listen to his footsteps as they draw near. “Something has come up, but I promise I won’t be long.”
“Wait. You’re not going to leave me, are you? I need to get back to the marketplace!”
Before you know what’s happening, the blindfold is coming off and you’re locking eyes with Albedo, who peers at you with intense scrutiny. Certainly the look of a genius studying a textbook. You grow flustered all at once, just now coming to terms with the fact that he looked at your body for longer than you’d like to admit. Shyly, you shut your legs to obscure your private parts, but it’s not like that will help the embarrassment that claws its way onto your expression like a persistent beast.
“You’re better off waiting here.” He shrugs off his coat, draping it over your shoulders as if that’ll keep the dreadful chill away. “As much as I would like to finish this now, I have other work that must be taken care of.”
“I get that, but you can’t just leave me here! That’s practically kidnapping!” you protest, hoping he’ll heed the desperation in your trembling vocals. “At least, that’s what this feels like.”
“I wouldn’t kidnap you,” he says, amusement flashing in his eyes. “You’re too funny.”
Yet he isn’t laughing and neither are you as you helplessly watch him depart. The floor is too cold for your liking and the idea of entrapment settles under your skin like a million maggots feasting on a decaying, chilled copse. Devoid of warmth and carrying an air of measured grace, Albedo doesn’t spare you another glance.
He doesn’t need to. He’ll have all the time in the world to study your body like it’s the finest artwork, and you’ll be powerless to object.

How They React to You Saying You Love Them ♡
Warnings: fluff!
Notes: it's gender-neutral
❥ Dave York
This really depends entirely on your relationship prior, and how much he trusts you - which it being Dave, probably is about as far as he can throw you. Even if he loves you back, and knows he loves you, he won’t react well. He’ll think of his kids, the danger he’s putting you in by being with you - he’ll think of everything before finally realizing you don’t care and you love him anyway.
❥ Din Djarin
He’s an adorable idiot. He hears you, but it doesn’t clearly register in his head until you say it again. Then, he’s like a blue windows screen - literally unable to compute. He’s known he loves you - even without thinking the words. He watches the way you are with Grogu and imagines you as a clan of three, yet he didn’t expect you to vocalize it. He says it back quietly - his voice echoing inside the helmet. Then, seeing your face of uncertainty, he says it again, this time louder with the intention of making you know he means it.
❥ Ezra Prospect
He tries his absolute best to not lose his composure, but his smile says it all. He’s loved you for a while now - a lot longer than you loved him, he knew. But he was okay with that, because he loved you the whole time, and he got to watch you slowly fall in love with him too. He watched the words slowly fall more into place during every mission - during every joke he made, every nickname he called you, every obstacle you faced knowing he was there to lean on. He watched the slow-motion feature of your love form and enjoyed every minute. “Oh, moonbeam, you cannot imagine the genuine adoration I hold for you and only you."
❥ Frankie “Catfish” Morales
He kisses you before he even thinks about saying it back. He’s so enthralled in the moment all he can think about is wrapping his arms around you and never letting go. You made him feel things he never thought he’d find. You understood him. You were patient with his issues (especially the ptsd he claimed to not have). You gave him the kind of love he’d choose over anything. Now, he says I love you every chance he gets, and every time he says it, he means it just as much as the time before.
❥ Jack "Whiskey" Daniels
You almost expected a sarcastic comment or cheeky line because that is what Jack always does when there are genuine expressions of heartfelt emotion. It's his defensive mechanism - one he had learned to be very good at. But when you said those three words, he didn't have any deterrence at all. He felt a sincere happiness he had not felt in a long time. "Darlin', you're the love of my life." The words held a greater significance than any response you could have imagined. You spent your relationship trying to compare yourself to his first love, but with those words he granted you all of the reassurance you could have ever needed.
❥ Javier Pena
Terrified - he was undeniably terrified and the expression on his face showed that clearly. He had been thinking of those three little words for a while. He knew how sincerely he felt about you, and he knew if he was going to say those words to anyone, it would be you, but nonetheless, he could not escape his uncontrollable fear of commitment. You reassure him that you do not need him to say it back - that you knew how he felt about you, and if he wasn't ready to say it, that was okay. Later that same night, while you're laying in his arms, he blurts it out. There was no deep conversation attached to it - no profound declaration of adoration - just three simple words and a kiss on your forehead, but you it meant the world to the both of you.
❥ Marcus Moreno
He didn’t think he’d love again after the passing of his wife. He was too afraid to try. But hearing you say the words changed everything. The love he felt for you was unique and incomparable. He watched you with Missy, watching the way you treated her like your own - with patience and trust. He wanted you in his life, and in that moment, he realized he was willing to do anything if it meant waking up next to you every morning.
❥ Max Phillips
Well, there’s the way Max Phillips would react, and there’s the way an AU Max Phillips who actually has a heart would react... so we’ll delve into both because we can. The canon Max Phillips would probably laugh at you. I’m imagining the words “that’s adorable”, and then him trying to fuck you because you just confessed your love - so how could you say no to him now? And our beloved AU Max who only has a soft spot for you... well he’d probably push you away, but for different reasons. He’d hear those sweet words and wonder what possessed him to want to say it back. He wonder what it is about you that made him change his bachelor lifestyle. He’d kiss you passionately - allowing heat to build up before pausing to say it back. He just needed a little encouragement, and a little reminder of what he never wanted to lose.
❥ Maxwell Lord
Success has always been important to him, and in that moment of hearing you say those three little words, he thought he was the most successful man in the world. He didn't know what he did to deserve you, but through everything you stood by his side and encouraged him to grow. He loved you back immensely. You were everything he ever wanted. You had his ambition and fully supported any endeavor he wanted to embark on. When he imagined his pinnacle of success, he imagined you next to him taken care of and happy. He especially loved the way you treated Alistair as your own, always putting his wellbeing ahead of yours. He wanted you to be a part of his family, and he was willing to do anything to get that.
❥ Oberyn Martell
His belief in love was not nearly as intense as most others. He believed love came in many forms with many people. To him, it was less of an expression of commitment or responsibility and more of an elocution of passion. "My little dove, I have loved you since I first laid eyes on you and I will love you until my last dying breath." Of course, his love for you was far more profound than with his other lovers. Even prior to you revealing your sincerity for him, he had already spoken with Ellaria about his amorousness towards you and they agreed to include you in their vows.
❥ Pero Tovar
It is hard for him to understand why you love him. His mind raced with insecurities and hesitations. To him, you were the most alluring person he had ever met. You were sweet and soft and good. He was rough and hardened and damaged. His hesitation caused you concern, but he quickly reassured you. "Hermosa, I do not know why you choose a harsh mercenary like me, but I love you more than you will ever know and I always will."

Ask Answers: January 28th, 2021 (Part 2)
Here we’ve got asks that aren’t to ask a question but are just really nice messages. Thank you all for sending us such kind comments ;v;. It’s seriously heartwarming to see so many people having good experiences with the game. I don’t even know what to say to such sweet responses.
We’ll keep doing our best and thank you again to each and every one of you for giving Our Life a chance ❤!
Hello! I've been following this account and have been following the development of 'Our Life' for a few months now, and I just wanted to say thank you for all your hard work and dedication you have put into the game. It astonishes me how much choice you have during the sequence of Our Life and am excited to play the full version now, I am downloading it as I write this message. I've had a great time seeing the demo transition into to the full game and just wanted to write two words. Thank you.
Anhhhhffbgdfbhujk!!! Congratulations on the release, I’m playing the game right now! Thank you all for your hard work and I can’t wait for the Step 3 DLC to come out, I’ll probably wait for the Step 3 DLC to come out to experience everything, but until then, I still have a lot to play. Thank you once again!
finished my first playthrough just now. it just felt so wholesome ??? 100/10 would do it again. i laughed. i cried. i got angry. i felt second-hand embrassment— i got so into it i was left in literal tears after getting my first ending. the art, the storyline, the music, and COVE HOLDEN– UGH IT WAS LITERAL PERFECTION ❤ THE WAIT WAS WORTH IT. THANK YOU FOR MAKING SUCH AN AMAZING GAME 🥺😭 this made my 2020 better, i can't wait for step 4 in 2021 ❤❤
So I was following you guys on itchio for years and uhh did I stay up til 6 am on a school night to finish the game? Yes. Did I sob my eyes out during step 3 as a 20 year old having doubts about life and adulthood? Absolutely. I can't form proper sentences right now due to lack of sleep but just wanted to say thank you for making it. I honestly feel lighter and I feel like it changed my views on future to be more optimistic... I can't wait to replay it! Thanks again!
I love how Our Life turned out!! I keep replaying it and can't stop squeaking and giggling!! Thank You for creating it ♥
okay i have actually fallen in love with cove and cannot WAIT to marry him 😭
Hi! I played through 'Our Life' yesterday and  I just wanna say how refreshing it was to be able to have Cove be 'high initiative' and also have so many opportunities to initiate affection from the player character! As a pretty flirtatious/affectionate person myself, I notice that a lot of VNs don't give players that agency, and affection can be kinda 'carrot on a stick' if that makes sense. You guys did an awesome job! I look forward to seeing if there are more of those moments in Step 3 & 4 :)
I have to say I was pleasantly surprised by the option to choose Cove's level of initiative in step 3! As much I love the option to choose I personally enjoy have the romanced character take the lead without my input so when I got to step 3 and had to option to make it so that Cove initiated affection without as much input from me I was really happy! You guys seriously added so much freedom in terms of choices, it's almost baffling that the only thing you have to pay for is optional DLC!
I absolutely loved everything about the game and I really want congratulate the team for making the game such a satisfying experience.
I look forward to step 4
❤️❤️❤️❤️
* and sorry for my bad English
Just finished my first play through and I loved it! I've been looking forward to the game and it definitely was worth the wait. Thank you all for your hard work and can't wait for the extra dlc!
Till then, hope you guys gets some well deserved rest🤗
Love you guys, thank you so much for your hard work. :)
Ok, so I just finished Our Life and, wow. I have never cried at a video game before, ever. Thank you so, so much! Its one of my favorites.
this isn't a question, but i just wanted to say how much i enjoyed our life 🥺 i've been patiently looking forward to the full game for a few months now, and i couldn't be happier with it! i've only played through it once so far but the outcomes of the choices i made were all so soft and wholesome 💗 i can tell that everyone who was involved really worked hard and you all did an incredible job! i can't wait to see what else is in store 👍
i’d just like to say how addictive our life is!!! i constantly played it during quarantine and now playing the full release is so amazing to me!! i love that i’m still discovering dialogue bits with different personalities and actions!!! i have to admit that i’ve been wishing the day to pass faster all day during school so i could go home and play again. mentally i’m not the healthiest and our life being released has boosted it up so much, thank you for creating such an amazing game!!!!!
Hey, I just wanna say I played our life two times and it still give me the same feelings. I was really looking forward to this game before it came out and I kept on replaying the demo. This game is such an amazing experience and I feel so happy playing it. I am not really a person good with words unfortunately but I do honestly love this more than anything in the world. Thank you for making it and I hope that you will continue to make more games like our life. This game really makes me happy and I can't thank you enough
Just wanted to say that Our Life really made me feel seen as an 18 year old trans man who's been struggling with change as of late and I can't thank you guys enough for it. I just finished the main story and currently released DLC's and gosh, I can really only say... woah. Just, woah. The messages are somehow exactly what I needed to hear right now, and they brought me a lot of comfort in this really weird and confusing time in my life. Can't wait to see what comes next in this lovely story <3
I am honestly in love with Our Life. The graphics, the soundtrack its just *chef's kiss* It was so worth the wait for it. I can't wait for step 4. Keep up the good work GB Patch!
good people i have just finished Our Life and let me say, it was beautiful. rarely have such non-fantastical moments (and even some fantastical moments) brought me to tears like this game has, and i don't even have the dlc (yet). i don't know how you did it but it felt like i was playing a slice of life anime. i had waited with baited breath to play this since i played the demo and my expectations were not just met but surpassed. from the bottom of my heart thank you for this game
I found the game by chance and I am so so glad I did. It’s so inclusive and made me feel so incredibly seen. Seeing that my gender identity and sexuality were possible just meant the absolute world to me. I’ve never seen something like this and it just made me so incredibly happy. Thank you for the absolutely amazing game and I can’t wait to see what’s next.
Hello! I downloaded Our life earlier this week and I'm only now getting the chance to play it (Very busy and stressful week) I'm so excited to play and I wanna say thank you for making this adorable game!
I just finished my first playthrough of Our Life and I can't even express how much I love it. Cove is absolutely precious and has killed me several times, and the art and soundtrack is beautiful. I love all the small different choices. I'm very interested in the Derek and Baxter DLCs and the rest, can't wait!!!!!!
thank you for "Our Life Beginnings & Always" it has to be one of the best visual novels i ever have played and i just dont want it to end (i know it will, but damn it! i want to have a wedding night, have children and die of old age with cole! XD) when i play it it always makes me tear up (in a good way) and i am most definetly going to buy all the dlc that you make! thank you for this lovely game and all the work that went into it! (ps: i also loved "lake of voices" )
You guys are incredibly talented and im very proud of you all! You've really outdone yourselves w/ OL and i cant wait to see whats next to come for you all :)
i really love that you can be trans in Our Life! not a lot of games do that so i just wanted to say thank you!
Guuyyss!! I just wanna say! Thank you sm for the headscarf option in the MC creator! I especially loved that little detail where MC quickly slips the headscarf on before greeting Cove, I've never felt so immersed :'D Not that the rest of the game wasn't immersive btw, but since I wear my hijab most of the time that little addition really felt like something I would do! So thank you for that <3
I've been watching "Our Life: Beginnings & Always" development for quite some time, and I gotta say its wild to see it finally release. Its so unique in the way relationships work- even character creation. I've cried multiple times over this game while playing. I can't thank y'all enough for a game with these kind of mechanics, and representation. its rare I get to feel im really playing as myself in games like these. Everyones outdone themselves. this'll certainly be one I keep coming back to.
I've been following the development of Our Life from way back when the first demo dropped and it still blows my mind how many choices and customizations there are (love that update for the MC's bedroom btw!) and the fact that the game remembers them - it really feels like your very own coming of age story! I was so immersed I cried at the end :') Can't believe I experienced this game for free lol. I can't wait for future DLCs and Step 4! Good luck with all your upcoming projects dev team!!
Just wanted to say I love Our Life and I'm thankful it exists. Thank you so much! I love the little world you created and all the people in it. Especially Cove! This game makes me so happy!
Just poping in to say hi and that ilu guys ^^, remember to take care of yourselves!
Hi!! I just wanna thank you for creating such an amazing game. Our Life is one of the few dating sims I’ve found that let’s me be a male mc, it’s really hard to find dating sims that let me be gay. Our Life is my new favorite dating sim to just sit down and playthrough whenever I’m having a bad day so I just wanted to let y’all know how much I appreciate all you’ve done. 🤍
Fan from australia here
Just wanted to reach out and let you know how important this game has been to me. I came across it at a really rough time ( that I’m still going through ) and it’s been one of the things that’s driven me to get up and out of bed sometimes.
This game and cove both hold a very special place in my heart and I can’t wait to see more of him in the DLC and Step 4
Much love ♥️
I know this isnt exactly the main focus of the game, but i really love how we can customise the mc personality wise! This is the first time i've played a game like this where the mc actually does and says exactly what I would do and say in certain situations and its such a breath of fresh air!! It's also so cool how the other characters can pick up on it!!
Cove Holden saved 2020 (my 2020 anyways) I would die for him
Sorry for this being out of the blue, but after playing through Our Life I wanted to thank you for the experience. I don’t know if I’ve ever played a game that has made me cry happy tears TWICE lol. It’s beautiful, scenic, inclusive, and absolutely amazing..have a great rest of 2020 and I honestly cannot wait for the rest of it :,) (ps. The ending song is stuck in my head)
I think you guys might've ruined visual novels for me forever. I'm not sure I'll be able to play another without comparing it to Our Life and I know if I do that I'll be disappointed every time because of how amazing it is. I bought the DLCs before playing the base game it's one of the best impulsive purchases I've ever made
Thank you so much for making our life! It's my favorite visual novel ever and I just can't articulate how much being able to just be honest with my responses instead of going for whatever would make the love interest happy means to me? I reccomended it to evry friend I have that plays visual novels because this is the best one I've ever played!
Just wanted to say that I absolutely adore this game! The childhood friends tropes is my favorite thing and this game delivers! Cove is the sweetest thing, infact all the boys are good boys. Super excited for all upcoming dlcs!
Hi, I just want to thank you for making such an amazing game like Our Life. Tbh, I was following the game’s development for a while, but me and my family moved away from my childhood town just a few days before release, so I really connected to this game. You all did amazing!
hey just wanted to know that i completely loved ol: b&a and it was so good and love cove more than i’ve liked any fictional character, it’s now my comfort media. thank you so much
hi i just wanna say i really enjoyed all of the representation in our life b&a! there were characters with a lot of different body shapes, pic characters, lgbtq+ characters, and you get to choose your own pronouns and sexuality!!! so tysm!!
This isn't a question, I just wanted to say that Our Life is incredible. Ever since I finished it, I've been looking for other visual novels to play so I don't play OL so often that I start memorizing the lines before all the DLC comes out, but I keep coming back to it. It's really one of a kind, I think you all ruined other visual novels for me because I haven't enjoyed another VN like I have this one since I read it ❤.
i think our life b&a is the first game where i felt like cove loved me, not the character i play as which is really nice for someone with kinda low self esteem so THANK YOU
I’ve been playing Our Life practically nonstop since yesterday. I just want everyone who worked on it to know how much the LGBTQ inclusivity means to me. As a closeted trans ace guy in an unsupportive household, I can’t emphasize how much of a comfort this game has been to me. Everything about it is so wholesome and heartfelt. I’m excited to see what other games you make in the future 💙
- A demibiromantic ace transgender man who may or may not have cried over the option to be myself in a game for the first time ever
Csn i just say i really appreciate how you handled MC deciding to use they/them at different stages. Mainly because alot of games don't pay much attention to the body the mc was assigned at birth if they player chooses nonbinary like it does with male/female. And it was just nice to be able to play an mc who just thought gender was kinda 'meh' for them but still felt good about the body they were born with (like myself). I guesd it boils down I'm really appreciative of the hard work it must've taken for you to make all those options possible & still have them matter.
I just wanted to thank you all for Our Life. My mental health hasn't been in a good place recently and it has become my favorite form of escapism/way to cheer up. It's idyllic setting and fantastic characters are such a good way to wind down, I love it. Also, I've been dreading 2021 due to classes starting and general stress, but the DLC and your next project have given me something to actually look forward to :). I'm so excited for them and now I actually have a reason to be happy that it's 2021. Sorry if this message is a bit weird, I just wanted to thank the team for their hard work and for creating something so incredible <3
I've gotta say this is one of the most repayable games I've ever played, if not the most. Usually after i do a playthrough or two of a game i have to wait awhile before playing again otherwise it feels stale. But i haven't had that problem with our life because of the sheer ammount of player agency. Everyone who works on tbe game should feel incredibly proud of themselves because you've created something amazing.
I just wanted to say thank you for Our Life. I'm sure you get this a lot, but it really pulled me out of a mentally tough spot in my life. So thank you.
who needs therapy when you have our life: beginnings and always? haha no but seriously this game is my comfort game, and even though i can’t join your patreon at the moment please know i am always supporting you and i am so excited to see everything you have in store! everyone who works on the games is so so talented
All DLCs have nice content. 😡😡
And I love them all!!💗💗💗💖💖💖💕💕💕

What advice would you give to someone who really wants to be catholic but deeply disagrees with the church’s stance on LGBT people? I am afraid that if I go to church, people will say unaffirming things about me or my partner, or push me into conversion therapy.
Well, it’s not going to be easy.
When I started my conversion, I was not in line with what the Church believed about the LGBTQ+ community. In truth, I still struggle with it.
Despite my previous stubbornness on LGBTQ+ issues, I kept my heart open to God and what the Church teaches. I didn’t ignore what the Catechism says, but instead learned to understand what it teaches and why. This allowed me to accept the Church’s stances on the LGBTQ+ community.
Since the issues are different for gay and trans people, I’ll address them separately.
Contrary to popular thought, being gay in and of itself is not a sin. However, acting on same sex attraction is. The Church understands that being gay is not a choice, but as a result of its inherent brokenness, people with SSA are called to celibacy. The Catechism of the Catholic Church says, “Homosexual persons are called to chastity. By the virtues of self-mastery that teach them inner freedom, at times by the support of disinterested friendship, by prayer and sacramental grace, they can and should gradually and resolutely approach Christian perfection” (CCC 2359).
I know a lot of people would like if the Church permitted same sex marriages and relationships, but this simple cannot be so. As Christians, we are called to be faithful to Christ and the Church, to “observe all that I have commanded you” (Matthew 28:20) and that “if he refuses to listen even to the Church, let him be to you as a Gentile or a tax collector” (Matthew 18:17). Christ asked for us to live lives in accord with Church teaching and meeting the standard he set for us. We are not only called to reject our modernist, consumer culture glorifies, but to “be perfect” as our heavenly Father is perfect (Matthew 5:48). We are called to overcome the vices of vanity, pride, gluttony, greed, envy, lust, wrath, and sloth, while cultivating the virtues of detachment, humility, temperance, generosity, charity, chastity, patience, and fortitude.
This also means we cannot call a sin anything other than a sin. We cannot lower the Church’s standards to the culture’s level, calling abortion, remarriage (without an annulment) after a divorce, homosexual acts, or contraception anything other than violations of God’s law. For “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and for ever” (Hebrews 13:8). Claiming the Bible says something that it clearly does not say is projecting our own morality on God. In doing so, we say that God does not know what is best for us and that he does not know what he is doing.
All of this can seem impossible. And without grace, it would be. Even with grace, we’ll often fall short. When we stumble we must repent, confess our sins, and come back to the Church.
So... is the Church homophobic? No, it is not. Sadly, however, some people with the Church are. These kinds of people lack one of Christ’s fundamental truths to “not neglect to show hospitality to strangers” (Hebrews 13:2). We turn ourselves into hypocrites when we do not uphold the idea that are all welcome in the Church.
Keep in mind, also, that just because “all are welcome” does not mean you can remain the same when you choose to become Christian. We are all ridden with sin, and we all have a cross to bear. But, by God’s mercy, we do not have to carry that cross alone.
Neither to trans people. Like homosexuality, there is a lot misunderstood about how the Church views being transgender.
For starters, the Church recognizes that every human person is created in the image and likeness of God (Genesis 1:26-27). EVERY person. Consequently, we must act in love towards our trans siblings and reprimand those who name-call, bully, or engage in any other uncharitable behavior toward them. As Christians, how we speak to one another, the language we use, the tone of our voice, and the respect our words and attitude convey determines whether our words are used to glorify God or to slander his children.
Respecting our fellow children of God also means we use peoples’ preferred name and pronouns. It is not a matter of affirming the person’s decision to transition, but rather it serves no use to do otherwise. If you’re having a conversation with a trans person, that conversation will not last long if you deliberately choose to use a name or a set of pronouns that the person is not comfortable with. What do you hope to achieve by refusing? You are more than likely to lose the opportunity to give them a faithful witness through which Christ can soften their heart to receive and embrace the true Gospel.
This topic is more difficult to address, in part because there is no official policy regarding trans individuals in the Catechism of the Catholic Church.
The other reason is because the truth is... very difficult to hear. Admittedly, though I am not trans, I struggle to fully grasp it. Like SSA, like anything else inherently broken, it is difficult to hear the truth of our condition. But I’m not here to tell you what I think, because what I think (or have a tendency to think) is corrupt due to my sin. Therefore, I can only share with you what the Church teaches. Keep in mind, I accept what the Church teaches, despite how difficult it will be to hear, because if I didn’t, then why would I be Catholic?
God doesn’t make mistakes. When he fashioned each of us in our mother’s womb, he did so with the care of an artist making his greatest masterpiece. He choose the things that make you uniquely you, and this includes our gender. If you feel like God made a mistake when you were created, then we don’t share the same definition of God. God is an all-powerful, all-knowing, and all-loving Father, so it is impossible for him to make mistakes because it would be contrary to his nature. God created you male or female for a reason.
But gender dysphoria, the condition of feeling one’s emotional and psychological identity as male or female to be opposite to one’s biological sex, is a very real condition and many people suffer greatly because of it.
If your sex is a source of suffering in your life, God can be there with you to comfort you and help you through that suffering. He doesn’t promise to take away our sufferings and struggles, but He does promise to be there carrying our crosses alongside us.
Keep in mind that we are all called to holiness. For this reason, God may be asking you to grow in holiness by wrestling with trying to trust him that he doesn’t make mistakes and that he created you as male or female for a reason.
Now, you also expressed worry about people being uncharitable. Truth is, there are going to be uncharitable people. In my experience going to church, I have not encountered any. That said, I do not make my bisexuality known to the parishioners because I do not feel it is necessary.
But if you do feel the need, talk to the parish priest about your worries. There are many priests who understand that God has called them to love everyone, not just the ones that can hide their crosses easier. So, speak with a priest - via email, phone call, or in person (whichever way you’re comfortable) - and express your interest in their parish. If they are God-fearing, they will work with you.
I will be praying for you. God bless.

I've seen your speech pattern analysis on Flash characters. I was wondering if you had any advice on how to create speech patterns for OC characters?
oh heck this is one of the coolest questions i’ve ever received.
i’m gonna try not to go overboard/overwhelming and just give a bit of advice, and then if you want more details please come back and follow up!
There’s a few things to think about up front with character voices / speech patterns. The biggest and most obvious is language and cultural background. The second is personality. The third is personal history. Fourth, briefly, is gender. And the final one I’d say is idiosyncrasies to avoid ‘same voice’.
Culture and Group Dynamics
Depending on the setting, there’s a decent chance you’ll be writing characters from different cultural backgrounds. Even if you’re focusing on a single culture, there will be subcultures. Even if you’re focusing on a single narrow group of people, there will be age and generational differences.
Think about where your character is from. If it’s a fantasy world, that’s still (and even more, in some ways) important. What country, what ethnicity, what mother tongue? Did they grow up urban or rural? High socio-economic status or working class? What sort of educational background and peer group did they have growing up (and presently) and how does that factor into their vocabulary and mannerisms, if at all.
All of these can influence how people talk. There are regional accents and different modes of speaking to signal your group membership. There is code-switching across groups, for those who have had to learn multiple linguistics codes to survive and thrive in society.
How much slang does this group and therefor this character use? What references (modern, outddated, topical, etc) do the rely on? What kind of references (pop culture, music, academic, etc)? What colloquialisms and proverbs do they say? Are these the same or different to their characters, even within the same culture, subculture, or group, and is it because they’re from a different place/sub-group or because of their idiosyncrasies?
You can use these to help your reader get to know more about your character’s background without having to spell it all out directly. Speech patterns and style are a great way to show instead of tell when it comes to details that are hard to drop in organically in other ways.
An important caveat: don’t write a bilingual character who switches languages in speech unless you’re ready to do a bit of research on that. In AATJS I did an absolutely horrific job of this because I was thinking more about fronting the fact that character was Italian rather than thinking through how people actually talk, and it came out exotifying and embarrassing. It’s important to make sure that the way you use language to bring in a character’s cultural and/or ethnic background feels authentic and manifests is a way that respects that language and its users. You can write a character with a complex cultural history without using multiple languages if you’re unprepared to do research and talk to bilingual speakers.
Personality
Probably the most salient thing in a writer’s mind when they’re trying to write character voices: is this the funny character? the serious one? the brainy one? etc.
Don’t overuse stereotypes and archetypes for creating speech patterns (or characters in general) if you’re trying to make a rounded, 3-dimensional character. Instead, go about three levels deeper.
Think about whether they’re introverted or extraverted, whether they are neurotypical or neurodivergent, whether they are introspective enough to express their own emotions clearly or whether they stumble when asked why they did a particular thing or feel a particular way (most people don’t or can’t clearly articulate exactly why they did something or how they feel, and come at things a bit sideways to circle around their motives and interior realities when pressed to make them external and concretely verbal).
Is this character calm, is their voice soothing, do they speak slowly? Are they excitable and loud and is their speech free-flowing? Are they angry? Do they swear? Do they use references for humour or are they more into puns? Do they laugh at their own jokes? Do they talk with their hands?
This character has social anxiety: how does that manifest in her speech? Does she clam up and get very quiet when she gets nervous, or does she go rapidfire and a little too loud (does she process by turning in or by distracting herself by turning outward)? Does she get very careful and deliberate in choosing her words (is she a bit high-strung?)? Ask yourself which fits best with the other elements of her personality and what you want the reader to know/interpret about her.
This character is incredibly smart and a bit awkward: how does that manifest in their speech? Do they tend to use 5-dollar words, or do they expend a lot of energy choosing their words more carefully (how considerate are they to their audience when speaking and does that influence their speech)? Do they stumble over their words and explaining things, or are they good at making points with clear language learned from a lifetime of tutoring and helping others?
This character is the bff, who tries hard to make sure everyone else is happy first: how does that manifest in his speech? How does he switch between his happy-mask versus his more authentic self, and what changes in tone, word-choice, and inflection come in when he does?
-
Personal History
I’m only drawing a distinction between this and personality (archetype, really) so that I can draw attention to ways to add simultaneously unique and shared layers to characters that are distinct but related to group dynamics.
Here’s sort of what I mean: the level of education of a mother (or primary caregiver) of an infant can determine that infant’s vocabulary size. While we can break down all the ‘why is that’ layers to this, the one I want to point is to the simple truth that the more education a person does, the more specialized language they end up learning over time. This doesn’t have to be formal education though -- the more you learn about something and the more you read and access new knowledges and perspective, the more and more words you learn, and then if you start using those words, they trickle down to those close to you.
So.
What’s your character’s educational background? Is it the same as their friends who you are also writing? Is the same as their family’s? How does this character’s family influence their speech? Are they formal, informal, warm, authoritative?
If you’re writing siblings, they’ll have some shared things! But also some very different ones! Me and my sister talk nothing alike in terms of vocabulary, but a lot alike in terms of mannerisms whenever we spend a bit of time together!
If your characters grew up around each other, they’ll have a lot of the same references. People from the same cities or regions will have things specific to that region, either due to sub-culture effects or because of local references.
The city of Calgary, Canada for instance has the Plus15 which are a connected pedway system between the buildings in downtown, so named because they are 15feet above the ground. Drive 3 hours north to the city of Edmonton, and you have an underground pedway just called the pedways, no special name. Go a few provinces east to Toronto and their underground pedway system downtown is called PATH. These are all known to locals and part of the vernacular, but are opaque to people outside those cities. And the whole idea of them is probably opaque to people who aren’t from super cold cities that don’t require building-connecting pedway systems for pedestrians to get around high-density areas like downtown (or university campuses) without going out into the cold.
Friends, families, and groups are like that too. In-jokes, shared histories, speaking in references. What are your characters’ relationships to each other and how does that history influence the way they approach talking to each other?
-
Gender
I don’t want to spend too much time on this one because ugh, gender. What even is it?
But like it or not, it has an impact on our speech patterns. There are cultural and societal norms in how men and women are likely to speak, and breaking those norms will be noticed regardless of whether you’re trans, enby, queer, or not. There are norms that people who are queer may fall into as well, sometimes without even noticing at first. A lot of these aren’t about word choice per se but instead about mannerisms and tone and body language, but some overlap or are specific to language.
Speaking in broad generalizations here, women use more emotional language and tend to speak with more hesitancies/qualifications. So more “i think, i feel” and less “it is”. More conversations that front emotions and dig deeper into those, with longer sentences to explain in detail. The obvious caveat is that personality matters more (i.e., is this a person who likes to talk about their emotions in detail or not) but it is something to consider because there will be general but subtle differences that you can use to help further distinguish your characters’ voices.
Sidenote: this can also be exacerbated by different cultural backgrounds and languages (a simple example is Japanese which has different words for “I” depending on your gender as well as your personality, familiarity with the other persons in the conversation, and situational appropriateness, so interesting ways that gender and social expectations intersect in language).
Anyway this isn’t typically a huge problem except that I’ve found that a lot of writers have a tendency to overgeneralize the speech patterns that fit with their ascribed gender due to early-life socialization, or conversely to overgeneralize patterns that fit with their gender identity (when not cis) either due to heavily identifying with their gender identity’s speech model (or sometimes possibly due to a knee-jerk sort of backlash). I say this as an enby who both struggles with it and notices it and tries to edit and correct for it.
I could get into all sorts of examples of ways this can lead to voice issues, but in general i think the point here is to make sure you’re writing any given character in view of that character’s personality and history, with gender only as a modifier for how some of these might come out in subtle ways but which can be important to help tell us about your character (and if you’re writing queer characters, it’s all the more important to consider how their relationship with gender and socialization might impact which speech models and styles they identify more with).
-
Idiosyncrasies
So, you’ve got a character. You’ve got their personality and history down. You know how they manifest in their speech. And you’re still getting some ‘same voice’ issues.
People really are unique snowflakes. Let that be reflected in their speech.
This person uses contractions differently than that one. This one says “ain’t” and that one says “isn’t.”
This person makes Simpsons references and that one doesn’t like Simpsons, and makes Brooklyn Nine Nine references instead. That other one doesn’t use referential humour much at all. This one loves old movies and hasn’t seen any of the new stuff so they make references all the time but no one ever notices.
This one loves the word “excoriate” and that one doesn’t even know what it means because what the hell, who uses the word excoriate?
This one talks about food a lot, it overlaps with their interests. This one uses metaphors. This one grunts in response. This one exclaims. This one says “like” and that one hates it. That one refers to themselves in third person. This other one uses reflective language an usual amount (e.g., “love me some candy”). This other one keeps misusing the word inconceivable and that one speaks almost without contractions but still comes off as more charming and humorous while correcting him.
I have an aunt who says “girl” or “girlfriend” a fuck-ton and she has been my whole life and I don’t know why because none of her sisters do, but she does and it annoys me so much the way she says it. I swear a lot when I’m feeling casual despite never ever doing it in a professional or even slightly-less-than-relaxed space, so the idiosyncrasy of comfort levels has a massive impact on my vocabulary in ways which, I promise, almost no one who meets me first in a professional space expect.
Let your characters be individuals and try to make them as unique as possible without overdoing it, or over-relying on a single verbal tendency or habit.
-
And ... that’s all I’ve got for now. Completely failed at being concise. I meant to give like 2-3 bullet points or examples for each, not paragraphs, but here we are. That’s one of my verbal tendencies: long flowing verbosity :)
Hope this helps!

(long post)
Honestly from one bisexual to another—a lot of u just need to step back, take a deep breath, and chill. I thought it was important to have some sort of civil discussion regarding bi/pan/microlabel discourse, but people just did not know how to be civil and made it into a war.
Listen—neither bi ppl nor pan ppl are a monolithic group. The Bi Manifesto is not a bi-ble for all bisexuals to follow, it is just historical evidence that bisexuality by definition was never exclusive or regressive. The manifesto itself even says that not all bisexuals use the word “bisexual” and everyone has a unique relationship to their sexuality and that includes usage of labels. Yes technically all the different microlabels mean bisexual, but people can and have always been allowed to use what’s right for them, and that is not a personal attack on you or bisexuals as a whole.
And also pan people are not all the same, they’re a diverse group like bisexuals. Yes I get frustrated too when people use the biphobic and transphobic comparisons of bi vs. pan definitions and I think that’s what started this fight in the first place, but that’s not representative of pansexuals as a whole. You do know that a lot of people use bi and pan interchangeably? And a lot of pan people do show support and solidarity to bisexuals. And a lot of pan people speak out against biphobia. And biphobia affects them because at the end of the day we all experience attraction to more than one genders.
We can call out biphobia and transphobia without going into personal attacks or generalization of a whole group. If people want to use a term they resonate with then just let them, that’s cool. And if someone says “I identify as pan bc unlike bisexuals I’m attracted to nonbinary people too” you should just call them out for saying something biphobic, that’s it. If that’s how they choose to feel that’s on them, but that’s not representative of pansexuality as a whole. There are a lot of bisexuals who use their label to excuse their transphobia (“I’m bi because I’m not attracted to trans people”) and they’re not representative of bisexuality as a whole.
And yes it is shitty to see when mainstream media portrays pan as the “woke” version of bi, but you should call them out on the biphobia. It’s perfectly possible to make pansexual characters without throwing bisexuals under the bus, and it won’t do anything to try to “ban” pansexual representation. The more we destigmatize bisexuality the more the root issue gets solved.
And people will say “then what’s the difference?” and honestly who cares about the differences? Some people use pan for any reason they want. Dissecting the differences doesn’t help anyone. Both bi and pan are attracted to all genders. I see pan people who have preferences and pan people who do take gender as a factor into their attraction. So there’s no point in going through mental gymnastics to differentiate them. They can coexist and be synonyms.
And if we can customize our own gender then why not sexuality? If you don’t want to use bi then that’s not a problem. The only problem is if you see bisexuality as an archaic and prejudiced term, be respectful of other labels especially if they’ve been around for much longer. But if you acknowledge bi for what it is but still want to use another term then you deserve that respect. Some terms like lesbian though are not an umbrella term and that should be respected, but do what u want that also respects the boundary of certain terms.
And like that’s all I have to really say. I know I went through an anti-pan phase for a while but my issue didn’t lie within the people themselves, it lied more in the fact that a lot of people used the term as a reason to stigmatize and bastardize bisexuality. Of course you’re gonna get defensive when people say bad things about your label, that’s what I did. But I had an open mind the whole time and was willing to listen to all voices. Please don’t dedicate your mental energy to changing the mind of strangers online. Don’t dedicate your mental energy into trying to dismantle a community that has already cultivated. You will find it much more fulfilling to find solidarity with them. Because there are so many pansexual, omnisexual, any other-sexual people who fight for bisexuals, feel solidarity with bisexuals, support bisexuals, and also identify as bisexual.
At the end of the day, experience will always trump labels. The root of every issue regarding biphobia is and will always be cishets. Let’s all fight biphobia itself regardless of who it comes from and remember that we are not each other’s enemies and oppressors.
And if you actually read through all of this then thank you and have a good one 🏳️‍🌈

hi! just played the demo and thought it was really interesting! (sol already owns my heart 🥺) but i have a few questions if you don't mind: 1. can you briefly explain the difference between the different origins? do you get different stats? 2. what is the general opinion on people who don't follow a religion? 3. is there gonna be a huge consequence if we choose to not follow a god (since the game's title is "faith of gods")? (1/2)
(2/2) 4. who of the ros are religious and what's their opinion of an atheist mc? sorry for the questions, i'm just really interested in your game and can't wait for more! 💕
Hi! Thank you !! And I’m happy to answer any questions, so don’t worry lol
Sol and Flor are both religious, but in different ways, and they both struggle with their faith.
Sol’s reasons are a spoiler to their character arc, but they’re faithful only in the sense that they believe the gods to exist. Beyond that, they’re lost. An atheist MC, a faithful one, neither would have any impact on Sol’s view of them. The MC is who they are.
Flor, however, was not only raised to follow the faith, but their father is one of the Saints to the High Priestess, and they’ve lived a large part of their life in Dirth’kinai, which is the birthplace of the human faith. Religion is a big part of their history, even if how they feel on it is muddled. As for an atheist MC, they would admire one, as they seem to have a much clearer outlook on life than they do.
Khiita is religious, too, but she doesn’t follow the faith of the human countries (Mydras/Sedruadal/Astium). An MC being atheist isn’t something she would fully understand, as in her mind, the gods are very much real & tangible things. It’s something she would ultimately be fine with, when she got over her confusion.
Cían isn’t religious, and has never much cared for it, both of which are rare things for the noble families of Mydras. He’d be more at ease around an atheist MC than an overly devout one.
What is the general opinion on people who don’t follow a religion?
It varies depending on the country you’re from/in.
In Mydras, being nonreligious is a big deal, as Mydras is where the faith was founded, and most people there are religious in some sense. A nonreligious native of the country is thought to be on the path to corruption, and are either shamed or shunned. Those not from Mydras (but still nonreligious) are typically just avoided, as it’s a ‘lesser offense’.
In Astium it’s a big deal as well, but only in the capital or the larger trade cities, which have stronger ties to Mydras than the outer towns. You won’t be shamed for it, but you’ll definitely be the subject of gossip within the Court.
In Sedruadal, it’s a nonissue. It might get some eyebrow raises or surprise in the border cities but for the most part, it’s much more commonplace. Worship tends to be either nonexistent, fall to the Sedrulish Ascended only (Kreia/Oxanah/Goem), or fall to the spirits that guard the land.
Is there gonna be a huge consequence if we choose not to follow a god?
Not in the way you might think. Choosing to have no faith sets you on a separate path, but all roads lead to the end, if that makes sense. It is something that will have an impact on how Chapter Two goes, but the same applies to being faithful and what god you follow.
Can you briefly explain the difference between the different origins? Do you get different stats?
TLDR; it effects flavor text, (some) available choices, and starting stats. It doesn’t affect the game endings, just how you get there.
It’s mentioned briefly here, but essentially, the origins set you on mini-branches at certain points in the game, as well as have an impact on the flavor text of a lot of scenes.
A good example of what changes is the “home dream” at the end of the Prologue. You still do the same things in each one (decide your appearance and gender), and the ending is still the same, but the atmosphere varies greatly.
Smaller details about the MC change as well. Myd!MCs are a single child with a mother and father; Sed!MCs have an older sister, a younger sibling, and two mothers; Ast!MCs have two older sisters and an eldest brother, and their only parent is their dad. Ast!MCs have traveled all over Astium, whereas Myd!MCs have never left Dirth’kinai, and Sed!MCs have never seen the ocean.
Some choices are locked behind an origin. Ast!MCs are the only ones who can have dyed hair, while Sed!MCs are the only ones able to have ash blonde/white hair. Myd!MCs can have a unique history with one of the ROs, Flor, so there’s also that.
Some NPC interactions/reactions are dependent on your origin choice, too, but this is something more minor. In Chapter One, there are characters you can talk to, and who you get depends on your origin.
As for stats: yes, it does!
Mydras MCs have a small starting boost to magic, dexterity, and tact. They also have a boost to their starting relationship with Flor.
Sedruadal MCs have a small starting boost to dexterity, strength, will, and cunning. They also have a boost to their relationship with Sol.
Astium MCs have a larger starting boost in magic and knowledge. They also have a boost to their starting relationship with Khiita.
I think I got everything, but if something needs to be clarified, feel free to ask!

Hi! I’m a feminist who would like to dedicate her life to intellectual/spiritual/humanitarian pursuits (think St. Hildegarde, haha) as opposed to a domestic calling, but enjoy your content nonetheless. I hate the amount of people (many of whom are men) who use the “trad” label and quote Ephesians ... all while posting internet porn, or say disgusting things like “women’s holes are for *insert disgusting porn-addled comment here*”
I had written out a long response to this a few days ago, but pressed a bookmark when I was pulling up a tab and lost everything I had written. I was frustrated and decided to take care of this ask at a later point, and today feels like an appropriate day to do so, due to what I am seeing on my Dashboard today. Some of my points will be controversial. I get that, but please be respectful in answering, arguing or messaging me about my points.
Firstly, I want to encourage your choice of lifestyle and life goals. If your general pursuits for life, if its something you are truly passionate about (not simply attempting to personify a Saint while forgetting your own interests and desires outside of your perceptions of St Hildegarde) then all the more power to you. I think its a noble pursuit and the world is better off with more focus being directed towards Spiritual and Humanitarian activities. I will keep you in my prayers :)
I like to believe that my content is less centered around the ideals of domesticity and more towards intentional living. I started this blog wanting to idealize the Homemakers of the 50′s, and I have slowly began to realize what Traditionalism means to me and what kind of content I wish to put out into the world. I am idealizing my own life and hoping that those who share a similar vision for their futures (even if its without children or marriage) find comfort in my content.
Now, when it comes to the sexualization of the Traditional lifestyle (or at least, what some people believe to be traditionalism) I want to say very briefly that I understand what ‘kink’ is to people, but I also know what BDSM is supposed to be and the general servitude of women to their ‘Dominant’ halves is the only thing that rings even slightly familiar with what BDSM actually is and stands for.
To me, the sexualization of the Trad Women (someone who wishes to take up the classic ‘cultural norm’ of being the homemaker and Mother. Someone who relies on their husband as the prime breadwinner and finds self worth in their role in the home as Mother, Wife and Homemaker) is a sad example of where we as a culture have degenerated to. To know that men are craving a woman who WANTS to be wife and mother, who WANTS to be a stay at home woman and feels fulfilled by these pursuits, rather than what modern media has exposed as desirable. Women who are in media, exposing themselves, using their sexuality as their confidence and their general demeanor being viewed as crass and unattractive, in comparison to the modestly dressed religious wife, who stays home and bakes cookies and is waiting at the door when they get home.
When in history have we, as a society been so over-sexed?
When has pornographic content and sexually motivated news been so easily accessible? It is literally at our fingertips (via our cellphones, or simply looking at our various socials.) Its no wonder that someone would find sexual pleasure in the counterculture of someone who is the visual polar opposite of what they are blasted with daily. Someone who keeps their sexuality exclusive, who is honorably modest to themselves and to God, but most importantly, keeps what is meant to be sacred between a husband and wife (or between partners) private and sacred. It says a lot about our culture when that becomes the case.
Unfortunately, I find the vast majority of people who sexualize the lifestyle of a Traditional Women, are suffering from what my husband calls ‘Porn Brain.’
We feel as though we have to justify the fact we are attracted to modesty and Traditionalism, by throwing in scenarios that can be sexualized. One cannot simply enjoy what is, without having cherries on top (i.e attaching the sexual aspect to child rearing, preparing dinner, caring for ones husband.)
CARE to some people is defined in specific ways instead of a broad manner. I want to believe that some of the women in this sub-culture realize that to have a family, one needs to engage sexually with their husband if they wish to naturally conceive their children. Without medical intervention, or specific methods of delivery (to be crass, haha 😛) having sex with your partner (one who has testicles, sperm and a penis - to be 100% clear) to their partners ejaculation into their partners vagina (one who has a vagina,  menstrual and ovulation cycle, uterus, fallopian tubes and egg laden ovaries) is the method with which one can conceive children. I don’t think that needs to be explained in the grand scheme, however, I feel as though a lot of Traditional women forget that this (if they wish to be mothers to children they have carried in their wombs, and birthed into the world) is a natural, important part of the process to becoming a Mother.
I can already hear the masses arguing that you don’t need to have sex to have children. That some people can’t have children (either by their own choice, or because of trauma or physical incapability) and they choose to adopt children, or go through IVF which doesn’t involve sex. Yes, thankyou. I don’t need to be reminded of this fact. What I am trying to express is that Sex is a natural part of a marriage (and there is nothing wrong with that, neither is not having sex for one reason or another. Every marriage is unique and the business of those who are married, not the scrutiny of those around them.) I want to believe that if someone is going to marry their partner, they are comfortable enough to have sex with them. If a pair want to have children the ‘natural’ way, then I assume they go into the marriage understanding that to do so, they need to have sex.
HOWEVER!! SEX IS NOT THE RELATIONSHIP. Sex is not (and should not) be the focus of a marriage between two people.
When people fetishize Traditionalism, I find that sex is the main factor that comes with it. They have some of the points that come with what encompasses Traditionalism to some people, but their focus isn’t on what makes a marriage work for both, rather simply looking at the sexual aspect, which is one point of what is part of marriage. It isn’t about the whole, but rather about the woman giving her body over to her husband for sex. It isn’t about the conceiving of children, but rather about mindless self indulgence. To preach religion while one does this, is bastardizing what the unions (both sex and marriage) are meant for.
Linking BDSM terminology with the fetishization, by boiling down the gender roles that come with Traditionalism (the woman is submissive to her husband in trusting that he can care for - financially, emotionally etc) into simply ‘Domination and Submission’ isn’t Traditional. There are equal parts expectation in the Traditional lifestyle, but also in the D/s relationship. The Dominant figurehead of a relationship (in both dynamics) is not simply the one who receives pleasure, while the submissive rolls over to their every whim. To simply view the submissive (usually female) in this role, is grossly oversimplifying a complex relationship between both roles. Just with how a Wife partakes in her role, the submissive does so as well. The Dominant doesn’t just DO what they want without thought of what the submissive wants, just as the husband doesn’t just DO what he wants without thinking of his wife, and that’s where I find problems with how Trads view BDSM, and how fetishists view Traditionalism. Equality is important for both roles, both partners have a say, BOTH partners can consent or decline things they don’t want, sexually or otherwise. If that equality doesn’t exist in either dynamic, then it isn’t a good marriage, nor a good D/s dynamic.
At the end of the day, sex is meant to be between two consenting partners. I believe that sex exists for a purpose and we as a society have been so exposed to it that looking back on relationships when it was sacred and still HAD purpose is incredibly alluring. In the hookup culture world we live in, sex is a commodity, and birth control exists so that the purpose of sex is forgotten. Men who fetishize Traditional Women aren’t looking at Traditionalism as a whole and what it means to be traditional. Its simply over sexed porn brain telling them that ‘once I have a wife, we’ll have sex all the time and she’ll take care of me. She’ll be sexy only for me and want sex with only me, while taking on the homemaker roles.’
These people aren’t looking for an equal partner. They are looking for a mother that they can have sex with. Someone that will take care of them, selflessly because they actively WANT to do so, with zero understanding that they themselves have things they want and need to make this an equal partnership.
I’m not going to get into the generalities of BDSM couples (nor how some traditionalists have a BDSM relationship ongoing beside their roles as husband and wife.) I will say that people who are in these relationships, aren’t in it simply for their own pleasure. There is nothing wrong with unconventional (kinky) sex between two consenting adults. What goes on in the bedroom of two people isn’t anyone’s business. Whether you like vanilla sex or whips and chains, its not anyone’s business but the people who are having sex. BDSM is not what’s wrong with these fetishists. Selfishness is what is wrong with these people, who think that having a traditional woman means their sexual needs will be met along with their household and human needs, while they themselves can do nothing.
Now, before I get jumped with another possible argument, about preference, let me quickly say that there is nothing wrong with having preferences in a partner. Some people like maternal women, women who love God, women who prefer to dress modestly, women who are Traditional. However, there is more to a woman that simply being Traditional. My husband loves me for more than just my goals of being a mother and homemaker. He also loves that I can sing, that I do funny dances when I eat good food. That I read books before bed or all varieties and have a dark sense of humor. He’s under no illusion that I am a perfect Trad all the time. Sometimes I want to watch True Crime documentaries instead of doing the dishes and he’ll bring home a frozen pizza for dinner.
Some people might be wholly dedicated to being Traditional and that can be appealing to people, there isn’t nothing wrong with dedicating your life to something you are passionate about, be that, as you (for example) said, intellectual/spiritual/humanitarian pursuits or otherwise. To do so can be a preference they have, but if that is ALL one thinks encompasses a person or partner and they can’t have interests or things they do otherwise, you find a problem. I am more than just a Tradwife and Mother. So are others.
This has turned into a very long winded explanation to a simple question, and I apologize for going heavily into depth about this. Simply put (or TL;DR) fetishizing Traditionalism isn’t right. There is a purpose for sex and forgetting that is only showing what is wrong with our modern ‘porn brain’ addled society. Linking BDSM to fetishists isn’t right either, because there is a difference between a D/s dynamic and someone who is looking for a doormat.
Preferring a partner who is Trad and nothing else diminishes a person into basic traits that dehumanizes them into an object that serves ones own selfish needs (”my partner will keep house, have sex with me and be happy because they want to. They’re supposed to be Trad. I’m the man of the house and they cater only to me.”) Woman are more than Trad and more than a sex object. People who forget that aren’t worth the time or energy to engage with and should be blocked on principle so not to circulate false truths about BDSM or Traditionalism. It gives a bad name to both of these kinds of lifestyles.
Thankyou for being patient with me in answering this, if you want to discuss this in depth, my messages are open and I’m more than happy to explain further if there are any questions or counter-arguments to any of the above.
God Bless and I’ll Keep You in My Prayers 💕

Morrowind First-Timer Here =)
I've been playing through Morrowind for the first time, having only played Oblivion before (and a bit of Skyrim)... and I must say, I'm  enjoying it immensely. Much more than I initially thought I would. This is Bethesda at their best, imo. I can see why people speak almost reverently of Morrowind, it's that good. So much detail and love was crafted into this game, into the lore, giving the world such a lived-in feeling. The architecture and style of everything is so unique and amazing.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I think fondly of the places I've been throughout my journey, and thinking of towering mushrooms, of bugs 'n reptiles everywhere, makes me smile. Hell, even the cliff racers, annoying bastards that they are, because they're a part of this world too. Part of the experience.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I find the story so compelling and well-paced, though I haven't fully completed it yet. I linger and find myself wishing it could go on, I don't want it to end!
A large part of my enjoyment is thanks to a mod known as "Julan, Ashlander companion", but could alternately be titled "Julan, Companion and Fully Fleshed Out Character Who Causes the Story to Come Even More Alive and Makes Elements Personal So You're REALLY Fully Invested In Every Single Thing Going On Around You Because You Have Someone to Relate Everything Back To and Consider How It Affects and Shapes The Worldview Of A Native of This Land That You Were Just Tossed Into", but that's a bit long.
Tumblr media
Don't get me wrong, I would've still enjoyed the main plot on its own, but this character adds so much, and ties in so well with the Main Story that I really do feel I'd be missing out without him. When he speaks up about whatever we're currently doing or where we're at, I get to hear an opinion from this character's perspective that I might otherwise not have thought about that way, or overlooked. He gives insight and so much more to consider, especially to one unfamiliar with Morrowind, which is crucial to world-building and storylines, and he does it while being integrated so seamlessly. I suppose not every player cares about that, but for how much he adds to the Main Quest, I'd have to say he belongs near the top of Mod Lists, in the "Must Have" category. Kateri/ @fallingawkwardly, thank you kindly for creating this mod and giving it to your fellow players to enjoy! As the type of person who primarily plays games for the story, I thank you, and all mod creators who make the experience so much more immersive. Y'all are the modding community at its finest.
Can I also just add that I REALLY love the fact that, although he IS romanceable, it isn't the primary focus; it’s optional and totally up to the player. If you do choose to get involved, that too is very well done and is totally LGBT friendly and not restricted based on gender, OR race(no discriminating against Khats or Args in this house!)! Ace friendly as well, since your character can have a relationship with him but never be forced down a path you're uncomfortable with, since he'll check in with you instead of just assuming things. THAT level of awareness is a big deal, especially considering this was done in, what, 2006ish? And is far more inclusive and considerate than what can be seen in many MODERN games now! It is certainly very appreciated =)

Do you think that portraying a portion of our characters as alters would remove their depth? Would portraying female characters and characters of color as alters of Will remove their agency? This is not my personal opinion but I’ve seen this topic come up as a concern with the DID theory and seeing as you answer every ask so thoughtfully.
DID is a widely misunderstood condition due to the way in which it has been portrayed in a lot of popular media, but also because it is a unique condition that most people have not spent a lot of time learning more about. When fans are ignorant and say incorrect things like “alters aren’t real” they are perpetuating incorrect information about DID and being prejudiced against those who have DID.
“El is her own person! With her own free will!”
- Nancy Wheeler, season 3
DID is a real medical condition. People need to educate themselves more on the topic before they engage in (incorrectly) asserting that El being an alter would somehow make her less important or “less real” than Will. If the theory that Will and El are both part of a DID System is correct: they share the same mind and their brain belongs to them both. They’re two different, separate states of consciousness in their shared mind. Shared.
Alters are not imaginary friends, and they are not hallucinations. Alters are distinct, separate states of identity within a single human brain. A host in a DID System does not “control” other alters. They are not puppets or characters in a fictionalized story that was invented by a person’s imagination. And it’s very important that people treat alters as unique individuals.
Describing an alter as “not real” is incorrect and ignorant. Alters are just as real as you or me. Fans, when discussing or criticizing the theory that Stranger Things is about a DID System, need to be aware that any time they criticize this theory and say something like “alters are not real” that they’re being prejudiced against real alters in real DID Systems who might read their comments online and be hurt. Alters are each unique individuals, and they are real.
Alters have their own agency. They have real feelings and experiences. They have their own free will. Their sense of identity and their memories and experiences are separate from the experiences of other alters. Even when alters are co-conscious together they will still perceive of those shared experiences differently.
To make a very simplistic analogy: imagine many people living in the same body that sometimes can interact with one another face-to-face in spaces within their shared subconscious mind. (Those spaces are referred to as “internal worlds.”)
Do you consider yourself real? How do you define your identity? You probably, like me, define yourself by the many experiences you have had throughout your life and by your memories and your relationships with other people. That is how Alters develop their sense of identity, too: through their real memories, relationships, and experiences. But a key difference is that they exist together in one mind and body. But they are all real. One alter is not more or less “real” than another alter.
Anyone that takes issue with the concept of El and Will possibly taking turns being conscious in their shared body in the external world might need to be wary of seeming prejudiced against trans identities and experiences. El is a girl and Will is a boy.
Regarding your point about the concept of Lucas potentially being an alter: I personally suspect that Lucas exists in the external physical world as a friend no matter what is going on in the story, but if there were also an alter in the DID System that was named Lucas and was based off of their friend named Lucas, then that alter-Lucas would be understood to perhaps have the same physical appearance within the internal world of the mind but would not have a Black identity in the same way that friend-Lucas does (obviously) because the lived experiences that this alter has would not be the same as a Black person. (This is a very good and complex question. I’m not sure I can do it justice. But it is definitely important to clarify that no, an alter in a DID System is not going to have a racial identity that is equivalent to racial identities and experiences in the external world unless that identity does, in fact, reflect their body’s physical appearance and cultural heritage in the external, physical world.)
Many DID Systems will have alters with different genders, ages, races, etc. but this is not the result of a conscious choice. Hosts, who are simply alters that are in control of the body the most often in the physical external world, don’t consciously “create” their alters or control them in any way. And from what I currently understand about DID (and keep in mind I am just a layperson that has done some research of my own, I’m not a medical professional) the appearance of an alter is speculated to oftentimes be based on a person’s subconscious understandings of traits they’ve observed in the external world that they believe would empower them to deal with a specific traumatic situation better. Their subconscious brain went “Who would be the most capable of dealing with this horrible situation? Who could deal with this more easily?” And this is why oftentimes an alter might be based on a person that they know in their life. I think that it is highly likely that the DID System in Stranger Things might feature many alters based on people that they know in the external world. Friends, family members, local bullies (like Billy Hargrove, perhaps?) etc. Alters based on the subconscious mind’s impression of people from the external world are referred to as introjects. But an alter is not an imaginary friend: that alter then becomes part of their own mind that has taken on these traits subconsciously.
Will as a host in a DID System would not have any conscious control over his alters any more than he has control over any other person in his life: that’s not how DID works. Alters have their own agency. Alters with certain roles have greater access to the DID System than hosts out of necessity, and therefore I believe a case could be made that at times Will is the one that has less agency. In some DID Systems hosts sometimes have absolutely no access to their internal worlds at all, and when they lose consciousness everything is like being asleep for them. And in other cases DID System hosts might have only partial access or a lesser level of awareness in the System’s internal worlds. From what I’ve read each DID System has its own unique structure based on what was needed by them in order to survive certain traumatic events in their shared lives.
Part of the reason hosts have limited access is because the DID System is an elaborate subconscious coping strategy that the brain has constructed in order to protect hosts from trauma so they can continue surviving and dealing with every day life and taking care of themselves. If hosts were given complete access to the System in the same way that certain alters have access then hosts would be exposed to traumatic memories and experiences that they might not be ready to deal with and that would defeat the entire purpose of the DID System having been established in the first place. Think of it as levels of security access in a building: not everyone has the same access granted on their little door swipe cards. Hosts oftentimes have very limited access because their brain is storing their memories beyond their reach. Alters will each have memories that the host(s) do not.
If any fans dislike the concept of Will being a host in the System because they perceive of this as some sort of “controlling” or “powerful” role in a DID System: hosts generally have to deal with an arguably frightening and intimidating lack of control over their own mind and over the System. Hosts need to establish communication with their alters and trust in order to coordinate shared decision making because they generally, by design, do NOT have access to certain parts of their mind and the internal worlds because they’re not supposed to. The only influence that hosts have on their alters’ decisions is established through communication and agreement just like if you made an agreement to pick your neighbor up from school at 3pm. There’s nothing stopping you from deciding not to do that, but you choose to do so because you’ve established trust with your neighbor and they know they can rely on you.
“Friends don’t lie!” The importance of alters telling the truth to each other would be critical to their shared survival. I should hope nobody is lying if you have no way of being sure what your body had been doing all day while you weren’t conscious in the external world and you need to check in and ask other alters what they did. (Have a great day! Don’t forget to lock the front door. Can you cook some pasta and make sure we eat tonight? Okay, cool. Thanks! Wait: you had a fight with mom? And you didn’t tell us? Not cool! Now we don’t know why she’s angry at us and have no idea what was said. Ugh.)
But to return back to your original question: although I understand that many fans might be unfamiliar with DID and with the concept of alters, I hope that fans would seek to better understand the condition and would not be so deeply disrespectful of real DID Systems that exist and suggest that they’re somehow not “real” because of their condition. Inevitably there will always be those that don’t understand and who don’t respect others’ experiences.
I hope I answered your question sufficiently! This was such a good question, and I’m really glad that you Asked. Thank you!

Somebody is jealous( jellal’s edition)
https://www.fanfiction.net/s/13786166/2/somebody-is-jealous
for erza’s edition:
https://www.fanfiction.net/s/13786166/1/somebody-is-jealous
Thank you sapphireblue2007 for suggesting me to write jellal's version.
Disclaimer: these characters are rightfully owned by hiro sensei.
Somebody is Jealous (Jellal's edition)
Well, Jellal perceives himself as a very liberal and progressive person.
He wasn't a possessive person. No, not at all- Even in his relationship with Erza, he believed in giving ample space for growth and self-introspection to each other. He certainly didn't believe in getting jealous when one's partner gets some excessive attention from the opposite gender. Nope, not at all, he was a progressive person, wasn't he? He didn't want to smother her with suffocation. Jellal was aware of the fact that his woman was a strong person who didn't need anyone to save her. She was her own person and stood up for what she believed in. That's how he viewed relationships- a sweet added bonus to one's life, separate from a person's purpose in life.
Yet,
He felt horrified, as he realised, he was shamelessly contradicting his very own beliefs. His eyes twitched in mild irritation, well not exactly mild- only slight, that's how he soothed his not so jealous soul, as he watched the scene before him unfold.
His beloved was sitting comfortably on one of the chairs kept near the bar, eating her sweet dessert in contentment, oblivious to the lusty stares that eyed her glorious exposed thighs and cleavage. There were men hovering around her, drooling repugnantly.
Erza was a beautiful woman. It was an established fact. Not only did she win various beauty pageants, but she also attracted scores of men who simped after her and bolstered her as their 'waifu'!
Jellal was fucking replete with fury when he came to learn about this obnoxious verbiage. What a derogatory term! He opined. How dare they lust after Erza and claim her as their 'waifu'?! well, typically he was doing the same. But he was her partner and it's pretty healthy in a relationship to be intimately attracted to your partner! Yep, he reasoned with his conscience.
It was no secret that men secretly/openly lusted after females who were fairly popular. Given fairy tail's reputation, they were inglorious for being rambunctious all over the continent. This shouldn't come as a surprise to Jellal that Erza was kind of a national crush of Fiore. She even got disgusting offer letters from rich officials asking her to be their mistress. Every single person, be it a man or a woman, acknowledged her regal presence. Wherever they went, people were in awe of her. She was a beautiful woman, confident and sassy, along with a splendid personality. Who wouldn't be attracted to such an amazing person?
Analysing her fan following, he was sure of the fact that Erza must have dated some men in the past. However, He gasped in utter disbelief when he got to know that despite of the attention she received; she never laid her eyes on another man. They were reserved for him. Always.
He was her first man, the first man who held her hand, the first man who witnessed her vulnerable side, her first kiss, the one who took her virginity, the one she would like to start a family with and the only one who she would devote her heart to.
Forever.
That gave him a superior complex over all those degenerates who hated him for stealing their waifu.
Her devotion made him feel extremely fortunate, to get a woman who would choose him over everything else.
But that didn't mean that he couldn't get jealous.
'Oi chad, snap out from your murderous intent, will ya?'
'Laxus.'
'What happened? Why are you in such a bad mood?', Laxus raised his eyebrows in amusement. It was fun teasing Jellal especially when he was in a foul mood.
'Jelly-chan is jealous because other men in the party are eyeing Erza ravenously!', Meredy chimed in the scene, humming a tune under her breath almost nonchalantly.
Laxus let out a nasty cackle as he smashed his beer pint against the wooden table they currently occupied. Meredy joined in with her sniggers; annoying Jellal in his misery.
'Cheer up Jelly chan, if you brood so much, you will end up getting wrinkles quickly and look almost 20 years elder to Erza!'
'Stop calling me Jelly chan, Meredy!'
'Why? I think that name suits you a lot Jellal.'
Oh no.
The trio turned around to acknowledge the owner of this sardonic comment.
Erik approached the group with a wide smirk plastered on his face, much to Jellal's discontentment.
What a great timing. Now they will gang up to bully me.
'Say Jellal, want to murder those assholes? I could feel your malignity from the far end of the hall, reverberating louder than Gajeel's singing shit'
'I wouldn't go that far, they are just harmless flies'
Actually, he could.
'Then why are you getting so hot-headed over those harmless flies?', Meredy smiled knowingly.
'I am not.'
'oh boss! Stop lying with your pathetic ass!'
'I am not lying Erik!'
Erik scoffed at his reply. He didn't even try to hide it.
'Then what do you plan on doing chad boy? Just sit in a corner like a lost puppy and watch as those men eye your woman?', laxus joined in the conversation, adding oil to the fuming spark.
'I can't pause to throw a stone at every dog that barks. Plus, Erza is a strong woman. I shouldn't stick my nose where it isn't needed. I think she is capable of handling this herself.'
But actually, he was trying his best not to jump in the scene and take her away from those bastards but he didn't want to appear as a jealous freak who had no control over his irrational aspect.
'of course, she is Jellal', Meredy reasoned,' but a woman, no matter how strong she is, would love to be spoiled by her man and feel protected. That doesn't mean you are undermining her strength. It's called chivalry.'
'…'
'What about ramming some hot iron rods up in their assholes?', laxus had no chill at all.
'Laxus your speech is so vulgar', Jellal cringed.
'Not as vulgar as your mind, boss'
'Erik, listen up- '
'it's okay Jellal', Meredy patted his back sympathetically, 'You are always harsh on yourself. You don't have to berate yourself so much. Being jealous is a sign of affection after all.'
'Really?', he raised his eyebrows in suspicion.
'Well, when exercised in moderation. Don't become Juvia though.', Laxus grimaced in exasperation.
'I just-I can't handle those people who eye her like she is their personal property!'
'Oohoohoo, finally the lover boy is being honest!', laxus slapped his hand against jellal's back harshly.
Jellal ignored his remark and chose to focus upon what Erza was doing.
Erza, unfortunately, was already surrounded by random men drooling over her assets while he was busy merry making with his guild mates.
He was pissed. He was fucking pissed.
He clenched his fist in impuissance until his knuckles turned white. He let out a shaky breath, biting his lips, trying his best not to eradicate their existence by casting sema right at this moment
'Erza-sama, I know this beautiful villa by the country side that I can rent for you. Would you like to witness that scenic beauty? I can make the arrangement just for the two of us.'
'uh, no thank you. I am not interested, I am busy at the moment with my ongoing missions but I would certainly take-out time to visit this said place with my friends and my boyfriend', Erza exaggerated the last part to make this pathetic pervert clear of the fact that she wasn't interested in his offer.
'He doesn't need to know'
'When I said I won't go, I won't go. Please learn to respect a woman.'
She was already seething at this moment, ready to requip in her armour to beat the shit out of these perverts but she held herself back. This was an important party for her guild as many magic council officials appeared to discuss some important matters with master Makarov.
'Erza-sama!', another pervert chimed in, 'what about-!
'My honeyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy!'
Erza felt a shiver travelling down her spine even before she could react from the horror of hearing his voice. She didn't need to see who this abhorrent creature was. She didn't even acknowledge him as a person. Ichiya had already latched himself around her leg giving it a wild sniff, trespassing all boundaries of her private space.
This is it. This was her limit.
She was shaking wild. Her fingers were itching from wrath as she tried to remove him from her. These men latched themselves upon her despite being firmly rejected by her. She was being polite and considerate of her guild. That's the only reason she somehow tolerated their creepy remarks. She desperately searched for familiar eyes through the crowd that was bustling from the onset of vibrant ebullience. She grew impatient by every single moment when she failed in her search to find them. That's when she felt a presence behind her. The eyes she was searching for were already looking down from their vantage but not at her. She followed his eyes to find them glued on Ichiya.
Jellal got hold of Ichiya's hand and ruthlessly broke him apart from Erza's legs, not caring for a single second where his poor ass landed.
'Ichiya-san, that's a unique way of greeting someone. It could very well qualify as harassment you know', Jellal hissed menacingly, walking in front of Erza to make a defensive guard around her.
Jellal was a master at hiding his emotions and maintaining a stoic demeanour but Erza could still look beyond that very well.
He appeared perfectly placid but he wasn't.
His eyes bellowed bloodlust. He was growling with belligerence.
He was not going to let these repulsive hands touch the body that he revered so much.
The rest of the crowd started to disperse, succumbing to the impingement Jellal displayed, while laxus, Meredy and Erik watched the scene in awe. That's the impact Jellal's presence wielded.
There was a limit to which this man could tolerate bullshit after all. This was Jellal, who was fiercely protective of the woman he loved.
Erza snickered to herself smugly seeing the crowd become frail upon his arrival. These were some spineless cowards who weren't even half the man her Jellal was.
Jellal blissfully ignored the crowd that was whispering his name with resentment, something along the lines of 'their waifu'
He looked at Erza, taking in a deep breath of relief as he put his hands over her shoulders securely.
'Well gentlemen, I just remembered that my boyfriend and I have some work to do, if you will excuse us.' Erza stood up from her chair and bowed her head signalling her departure as she grabbed hold of jellal's hands, leading them across the hall through the exit door. Jellal looked at his guild mates who were giving him smug smiles and thumbs ups.
After exiting the guild, Jellal let out a sigh as they strode further away from that crowd. He still was shaking, his hysteria urging him to go back and beat the shit out of those bastards. He tore his thoughts away from the former events and looked sideways at the enchanting woman walking by his side.
'This dress really looks nice on you.'
'Thank you, sweetheart', Erza smiled and turned her face to give him a chaste peck on his cheeks. 'But I think I will opt for a less revealing outfit next time for a formal party like this'
'Why?'
'tch, didn't you see for yourself what happened today?'
'Don't fret about those assholes, just wear what you want', he snaked his arm around her waist protectively to pull her closer to him.
Jellal rarely cursed, that meant he was infuriated right now.
'Jellal', she whispered lovingly, taking his face in her hands, 'look at me'
He locked his gaze with her, facing her completely. His arms gently fondled her waist, pulling her entirely towards himself.
She leaned into him, melting like butter.
'I love you Jellal.' She brought his face towards hers until their foreheads were touching each other, 'Thank you for helping me back then. I was really helpless'.
They closed their eyes and sighed in synchronisation. She felt his arms locking her into a tight embrace, clutching the fabric of her dress.
'I just…..couldn't help myself when I saw them degrading you like that.' He felt the weight of her hands shifting down towards his neck, near his sensitive spot which only she knew about, caressing it to calm him down.
'Thank you love, but don't over-exert yourself over this issue, this isn't worth your time and effort', she looked at him tenderly. Jellal was such a worrywart but she loved him the same.
'yeah…you are right', he leaned into her, nuzzling his nose with hers, her sweet scent taming his raging heartbeat down, 'I love you too'
It's almost been a year since they started dating and obviously they never hesitated to show their love to each other- verbally, physically or emotionally, but Erza would never get tired of Jellal saying 'I love you' to her. She had dreamed about it so long, she yearned about it ever since she realised her feelings for him, she would never take his confessions for granted. It still had the same impact on her as the first time he poured his heart out to her.
Such was their affection for each other-always raging against the odds.
The hooting of the owls could be heard in the depth of the night. A sudden breeze struck her form as she shivered from the lack of her clothing, she had worn a simple flowy dress, not deemed to be fit in a chilly weather.
'it's getting cold Erza', Jellal pointed out as he draped his coated over her shoulders, 'let's go home'.
She hummed lightly in solace as she felt his lips softly touch her forehead. She entwined her hand with his as they started treading towards the path that led to their small cottage, their personal heaven.
'Can you make me a strawberry smoothie with vanilla ice cream?', she asked him tentatively, testing her waters.
'I thought you wanted to curb your midnight snacking'
'But jelllaaaaaaaaaaaal!', she wailed in desperation, 'dealing with those perverts drained my energy!'
'I can always make a bowl of fruits oats for you.'
'Noooooooo! That's way too heathy!'
'Okay how about this?', he tried to reason with her, 'I'll make milk oats for you with honey and loads of freshly cut strawberries. Sounds like a good deal to me, what do you think?'
She thought about the offer for a moment. It did actually sound like a good deal. She knew she kind of gave in to her midnight sugar cravings. Milk oats were a heathier option.
She pouted and tried to act a little spoiled, 'only if you bribe me.'
'What a scandal! The great titania is asking for a bribe!', he nudged her shoulder playfully and she huffed in response to his actions, 'what are your demands?'
'You need to pepper me with as many kisses as I ask you for!'
' My, My, I was already planning on giving you a thousand kisses when we reach home, don't worry about that', he replied as he gave her a wink making her blush profusely.
If anyone heard them conversing in this manner, their eyeballs would pop out from their eye sockets. They were incredible mages, well versed with the ethics of professionalism. They completed their tasks seriously but when they were alone, it becomes a different story.
A/N: if you liked my story please leave a review and do check out my works as well.
Constructive criticism is appreciated.
Keep loving Jerza!
