Really excited for the GMMTV Fan Meet in Osaka.

Really not excited for that fact that my body decided to get sick and shut down the day before I boarded the flight.

Super super not excited for dragging my lifeless body around Osaka for "vacation" while I wait for this fan event.

So earlier in art class today, someone drew a characters hands in their pockets and mentioned that hands are really like the ultimate end boss of art, and most of us wholeheartedly agreed. So then, our teacher went ahead and free handed like a handful of hands on the board, earning a woah from a couple of students. So the one from earlier mentioned how it barely took the teacher ten seconds to do what I can’t do in three hours. And you know what he responded?

“It didn’t take me ten seconds, it took me forty years.”

And you know, that stuck with me somehow. Because yeah. Drawing a hand didn’t take him fourth years. But learning and practicing to draw a hand in ten seconds did. And I think there’s something to learn there but it’s so warm and my brain is fried so I can’t formulate the actual morale of the lesson.

Like, on a post about anti-consumerism where the OP was saying how horrible it is that they were given a box of single-use disposable battery chargers, half the comments were up in arms complaining about how the chargers came in bags which were monogrammed; and like, really? That’s what you’re going to complain about?

And there were some absolutely fantastic takes as well. One person wouldn’t shut up how they were ‘raised by a family of noble-connected nazis’ and considers anyone using monograms as pro-nazi sympathisers. Someone else managed to claim that monograms were cultural appropriation from black slaves. Several people were saying that monograms were like family coats of arms or heraldry, and based off this one person made the proposal that we should imprison and execute everyone with a monogram, since they were all clearly anti-democratic fascists.

I mean just…. What? Like I swear this must’ve been a psy-op or something because there’s no way anyone could be that stupid, right?

I was reading - or rather watching - the book dedicated to Daydream Hour released this year, and I came across some pages dedicated to the various characters who give each other Christmas presents. I found it very funny from what little I understood with Google Lens, and was wondering if there was an unofficial English translation. Thanks in advance if you can find it. Yousef is trying to evacuate with his sister and parents. I asked him where he is currently staying and he told me that they are in a small tent in Rafah at the moment.
