The Tim lives (and serves the desolation) au concept is so painful because 1. He'd be so sexy but also 2. there is no way he and Jon would have been able to rekindle a friendship. An uneasy cohabitation maybe. Or even an unhealthy companionship formed from traumabonding and surviving 2 major traumas together.
