I would like to suggest a name for the new ghoul.

I know I'm late throwin' my hat into the ring, and I think everyone is latched onto Phantom now, but I would like to present to you all an idea and my manifesto as to why.

Aeon.

For a few reasons, being as follows:

1.) Aeon represents an indefinite and long period of time. Quintessence, the fifth element, was thought to be a unknown and magickal element known to make up the cosmos. A powerful element found in every aspect of nature, and what modern physicists refer to now as dark matter, believed to make something like 65% of the energy in the observable universe. Quintessence being timeless and existing infinitely, for aeons and aeons and aeons...

2.) Aeons play a role in Gnostic creation myth. They were said to be the personification of the idea of knowing. As in supreme consciousness, from the mind of God. In a few Gnostic systems, the Aeon of wisdom rebelled against the order and became the Aeon of Chaos.

3.) Aeons were a concept from our favourite occultist (next to me) Aleister Crowley as part of his mysticism and religious system Thelema. The idea was that each history of civilization was divided and grouped with a different (Egyptian) deity, and different magickal and religious expressions would occur under these.

4.) Aeon shares the same "ae" as Aether and honestly that fucks.

In conclusion,

A short and snappy name that plays into the idea of a vast and unknowable magickal substance that began long ago and will continue forever. Something ethereal. Also has bonus religious and occult connotations.

Before he remembers staring up at a giant Crowley high on Laudanum as they lecture Elspeth about committing suicide and just thinks to himself...

...although naturally he would not have been able to climb Crowley like a tree back then, he was not wearing the appropriate attire or footwear for climbing.

Crowley promptly spits wine everywhere and blue screens when Aziraphale mentions it.

*planning a fic* Yeah, I think I'll just write one chapter, that should be good enough. I'll just have multiple scenes with different songs, but I'll make it short. Just a little quick one shot, that's all. I just need to get this out of my system after hearing this song and thinking it was fitting for Crosshair and Tay.

*several weeks later*

Fuck. <- Fic is now 4 chapters. Has 16 related songs. Went and listened to a BUNCH of Spanish songs to see which fit the fic. Made a playlist. Organized it. Made a playlist cover, dividers, and headers for posts. Is now fucking 20K words in and I still have to write two more scenes.
