I'm always randomly thinking about how I was allowed to be as intense as I wanted about sports but only about sports but someone just made a comment about how men be making fun of swifties for dressing up for the eras while turning around and dressing up for games and contemplating my whole life right now. I make my own "merch" because growing up I wasn't allowed to ask for shit like a camp half blood shirt, so I learned how to paint fabric to make them myself because I could ask for an orange tshirt and black paint, but my closet is full of jerseys. I have football jerseys, basketball jerseys, random Nike shirts of a team I don't really care about. I got them all as gifts. The only reason we haven't gotten me a devils jersey yet is because the nhl store doesn't ship here. I had never thought about that. I do love sports, it is a big part of who I am, but I had never thought about this layer of it before.

unsung benefit i think a lot of ppl are sleeping on with using the public library is that i think its a great replacement for the dopamine hit some ppl get from online shopping. it kind of fills that niche of reserving something that you then get to anticipate the arrival of and enjoy when it arrives, but without like, the waste and the money.

#im not much of an online shopper myself but i do find that the feeling i get from browsing the library catalogue to place holds #is the same i get from figuring out how to spend a gift card

theres actually no rules to transitioning and youre allowed to want contradictory things for your transition. it's fine if you only want some of the changes that come with hrt and take preventative measures for the rest (like wanting bottom growth but not body hair or vice versa). you can want to have vagina AND a dick. you can be a woman and want top surgery, or wear a packer. you can be a man and want to have a pussy. you can change your transition goals one or a million times or not have any goals at all and just take things as they come or as they feel right.

does anyone have like an anti aesthetic. like something you look at and can recognize as a complete fashion/interior design/artistic movement and understand it but it makes you shudder seeing it. i am not talking like “its morally bad” “its poorly structured” like just sheerly devoid of joy for you actually invites a repulse response.
