Danny is a Kryptonian. Not by birth. But by the realm.

The infinite realm is infinite, time is connected to it at all times in different spots. When a world is destroyed or a species goes extinct the realm is effected.

When kyrpton exploded. Time moved on the earthly realm of course. However a natural portal had opened. One that only opened in the realm at the same moment the Fenton portal opened for the first time.

Danny wasn’t just blasted by pure ectoplasm from the realm, but of the very essence of kyrpton itself. Altering Danny’s DNA even more. Infusing kyrptonian DNA into him as well as him becoming half ghost.

Danny has no clue. He assumes it’s all ghost powers. So did frostbite. What happened to him was unknown and entirely new. Besides had frostbite ever truly looked at normal human DNA before.

Danny’s first experience with kryptonite is when lex Luther showed up to “fund” fentonWorks. The anti-ecto weaponry worked surprisingly well on the supers. And he couldn’t just get into the Fenton computers without a green virus shutting him down.

Lex is intrigued. Does his digging on this “human” boy only to find he was adopted as a baby. Through less then legal methods.

Ellie on the other hand feels the effects in front of Conner. She was very confused just as he was.

"...Is that your excuse now?" Ian asked, the look on his face caught somewhere between surprise and incredulity. "You've had almost nine years to come up with a reason for why everybody hates you, for why you're stuck as a fucking brain in a jar, and that's the best you can come up with?! Oh Rudy, you need to get out more."

The vocoder lit up with a fuzzy electronic hum, a sound that Ian had come to recognise as the closest that Robot could get to a growl. "What do you expect me to say?" He asked. The voice was staticky and the words were disjointed, like an old iPhone text-to-speech program. "'sorry'? We both know that's not going to happen, Ian. For better or worse, things are far better than before. Even you know that it worked."

Ian always found it funny that the vocoder still sounded more human than Rudy's actual voice.

He laughed. Ian laughed. It was simply too bizarre of a situation for him not to laugh. Here he was, one of the most powerful people on the planet, arguing with a brain in a jar, that had once been even more powerful, about the societal benefits of mass murder. "By the ancestors, this shit again? How many times do I need to tell you? You didn't fix anything! You could've fixed something, but no, you just papered over the cracks, covered the world in murder drones and called it a utopia.” He scoffed bitterly. “Funny thing about a utopia, Rudy, is that they usually don’t make the people in them afraid to look up!”

No reply, just the bubbling of the thick green fluid helping to keep his brain chugging along. “How is Amanda?”

“Oh, don’t play that fucking card with me!” Ian cut off, so enraged that he struck the strong plexiglass with his hand. “You don’t care about her, Rudy, you don’t. If you cared, you wouldn’t have thrown her into space for daring to question your oh-so glorious plan! That’s not love, Rudy, it’s just you, needing to fix everything, needing to control everything!”

Another hum. “All I wanted was to stop people suffering. Stop the decades of degradation and poverty and violence from going any further. If I have to be the villain in order to fix things, then I can live with that.”

“But you’re just any villain, are you? You’re Robot. The engineer. The genius. The backstabber. You could have fixed things any way you wanted, you might have been the only one that could have done it! But you didn’t, did you? You chose violence, chose to kill everyone that trusted you, and expected those of us you couldn’t kill to be fine with it, to just go ‘well he might’ve blown a hole in Black Samson, but at least the economy’s pretty good now!’. You can put yourself up on a cross, tell the public whatever lie you want, but us? The heroes that called you ‘friend’? To us, you’re just the traitor that got away with it.”

No reply again. The hum came, but nothing followed it. “How is she?”

“She’s well. They put her in charge of the new Teen Team. She’s happy, really happy. Happy, and free.” Ian stated flatly. “But we both know that’s not why I came here today.”

No words in reply. 

“You asked for an update on your health last time. I debated even doing it, but then I thought ‘what could be worse than how he is already is?’, so I pulled it from the director’s office.” Ian continued, producing a small stack of white and manila paper. “Neurologist’s reports, tweaks to the amniotic fluid, psychiatric reports, etcetera etcetera. Basically a lot of stuff I’m not legally allowed to see under HIPAA, but I get the feeling that you don’t care.”

“What do you see?”

“Not much. Everything seems normal, except...”

“Except what?”

Ian turned the papers over, stopping somewhere in the middle. “Report by Dr. Wittman, your neurologist. ‘Scans of the patient reveal damage in the subcortical basal ganglia, specifically in the corpus striatum region, consistent with the early warning signs of a potential...’.” Ian read from the page, slowing when he glimpsed the end of the sentence. “Oh. ‘a potential neurodegenerative disease. Tests will commence at the beginning of next month to determine the extent of the damage and possible avenues of treatment. Research into family medical records will also be required in order to determine a potential genetic component’.”

“...thank you, Ian. I suppose I should have seen this coming. Cloning can be such a dangerous undertaking, even when you take every precaution.”‘

“I... I’m sorry, Rudy.”

“Don’t be. It was my choice. I knew the risks.”

Ian didn’t know what to say. Nothing he could think of felt appropriate for the situation. The boiling anger was still churning in his gut, but now it mixed with a cold shock. He cleared his throat, “I should go.”

“Yes. Yes, you should.”

Can I just rant about how awesome I feel w/ Dan and Phil games coming back and Anthony coming back to smosh.

These dudes defined my teenage years. Ian and Anthony, Dan and Phil were probs my most fave humans back then when I hated everyone else and myself being a moody teen.

Sure there were better youtubers that came when vine shut down but it also brought a lot of content creators who thrived on short form content and destroyed the ecosystem with their attention seeking and extreme content. Loove Danny Gonzalez, Drew Gooden and Kurtis Conner - they became the holy trio when my ogs where not around.

When the Anthony came back to smosh, my heart felt at peace. Yeah I was watching Anthony make videos on his own and Ian managing smosh which also made great videos with the diff cast but I yearned a video that had both of them.

Dan and Phil games coming back, made me ascend. We would get our yearly Halloween and Easter baking fiascos. Dil.... oh how much I missed the sims, FNAF, the spooky week.

The YouTube ecosystem is returning back to the normal and I love it.

• 𝙍𝙚𝙘𝙤𝙢𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙙𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 •

𝙍𝙚𝙫𝙞𝙚𝙬 - Your Eternal Lies:

I have been blown away. I did not imagine that I would be swept off my feet and taken on a ride filled with emotion in this wistful and bittersweet story - Your Eternal Lies.

I honestly don’t know where to start and in its entirety I don’t want to share too much. Within its 80 chapters it has woven such a beautiful story and brought us well thought out characters I will not forget. Rosen Walker and Ian Conner. The Infamous Criminal and the War Hero. As they head to the Isle of Monte, a prison which awaits death, we learn of their story - what they have gone through, where it has brought them and who they’ve become. And just as we learn more, it is only the tip of the iceberg in what we are about to witness.

The art in this manhwa is just breath-taking - specifically it’s paneling. The rhythm and momentum of the story is just done so well. I binged this manhwa in one night, lost in its story and characters. There are moments you can vividly feel and see their emotions and moments where you gain an understanding of them. And at certain times I can feel the atmosphere and this sense of longing and loss. Which just leads me into the writing.

The words that have been spun and knitted into the dialogue and narration are just great. Combined with the art and good paneling just leads to a story I could not look away from. It brought us these complex, broken, resilient, and gray characters. Honestly, I have no idea what I am saying but throughout the entire story I was completely hooked - and often feeling conflicting emotions due to their situation. The Criminal and Hero - and their thoughts. "A murderer who deliberately took one life - versus a murderer that unwillingly took 15,623 - if the weight of our sins could be measure and compared, who would be deemed worse" (ch 13).

The story felt like an amazing slow burn, despite it having only 80 chapters - im still in shock with what the author/artist has done - to be honest, so many recent manhwas struggle to make this happen TT. Overall, this manhwa was amazing and extremely enjoyable to read and look at. I am still thinking about many moments in the manhwa (both words and certain panels). Some, I could imagine straight out of a movie - just replaying in my head. Not only that, but in its entirety the story has been constructed and closed to its end in such a beautiful way. I feel absolute satisfaction - and a bit of loss (I can’t believe I read it in one night, and now i'm finished). I am pretty sure this manhwa is not perfect, just like many stories - and upon closer inspection it may not be. However, the emotions I received, the story, art, and dimensional characters were all wonderful. I was not expecting to write much on this manhwa. After all, when I first picked it up I had no idea what I was getting into. I thought I would complete it in silence, as this would be ‘like any other story’. However, I was wrong - I ended up writing something for many of the chapters, screen capturing many scenes (wishing I could do more), and quoting thoughts/dialogue.

‘Your Eternal Lies’ was a phenomenal read. and I wish them eternal happiness - they will be missed TT <3
