tbh i think oda meant to reach wano and make it all about zoro the same way he reached whole cake and made it all about sanji. I mean like, at the very beginning, back when he made him japanese and then said "there is a country that's one piece's japan, btw, and that's not where zoro's dojo is" - I think that's why his original backstory is so simple, it was supposed to follow the same trend as luffy's and sanji's and turn into this whole grand thing once they reached wano and discovered that he's the only direct descendant of one of the last daimyo and also of the greatest samurai ever lived, those are great bases to start some form of conflict on? tbh? and also directly mirror our finding out that sanji is some form of prince himself, but then instead we got to wano and the only thing we found out on page was that kuina's relatives were from there, and everything about zoro is revealed in a sbs family tree with oda going "I don't think I'll ever say this in the manga at this point so here". Imho what happened was that oda wanted to form some kind of conflict between zoro's family rights/what was expected of him in wano and his belonging in the crew, but then the way he evolved as a character through the story made it so that his only plausible reaction to finding out all that would be some form or another of I don't care and you don't really write an arc on that, do you. zoro's so simple minded and goal oriented that it's impossible for him to have any serious drama that's not about luffy, at this point. I do prefer it like this, though? everyone in the fandom likes to draw comparisons and parallels between zoro and sanji one way or another but my favourite one is the narrative foils one and zoro's lack of a proper backstory and complications to his being part of the crew make for a great black-and-white situation with them. something like sanji's story being all about running from his past and zoro's being all about running towards his future, I love that so I'm glad this is the zoro we got in the end
still, would be cool to know what oda had planned for him exactly
#zoro and sanji are funnn characters to keep on total opposite sides of the spectrum#you can draw parallels between every aspect of them and the only things you'll find that they have in common are#their love for luffy and their dislike of each other#starting from their personalities to their designs to their fighting styles to the way oda makes them interact with the plot itself#it's fun so i love it extends to their pasts and how complex they are too#but the build up towards wano and figuring out something more about zoro had been pretty obvious for a time so when we got there#and in the end we didn't find out anything about him#and left the land with no on page explanation as for why the shimotsuki guy had zoro's exact same face#no i mean that was kinda funny and on brand for him since the start ngl but it was sorta disappointing for me anyway#as an hardcore zoro fan yk#so I'm like ???? i wonder!!!! what oda had planned!!!!#for my boy who's apparently extremely important in wano but no one has any clue and they just let him leave like he was no one!#they tried to execute him for owning a sword that was his by birthright anyway without ever knowing..........#no it IS funny that's zoro's brand alright i just mourn the zoro focus we could have had#wano was already long and busy enough tho i get why oda let that go

Star Shopping !
˚ ༘♡ ⋆。˚ in which you’re asked to star in Thanos’ new music video

˚₊· ͟͟͞͞➳❥ you were a well known Instagram model, with your career being launched after you had posted a random selfie of you taken on your digital camera
˚₊· ͟͟͞͞➳❥ the virality of your picture practically launched you into virtual stardom with you gaining a pretty big following after that
˚₊· ͟͟͞͞➳❥ your followers loved you for your beauty and style, as your instagram page was littered with pictures of you posing in clothing items such as big fur coats, mini skirts, leather tops and bottoms and bikinis
˚₊· ͟͟͞͞➳❥ you were pretty popular amongst rappers for some reason, with some even asking for permission to use your pictures in promo for their music
˚₊· ͟͟͞͞➳❥ you had been familiar with Thanos for a little while now as you had seen his performances a couple times—more specifically his performance at Rolling Loud fest. you liked his music and you thought he was pretty cute but you had never really interacted with him before
˚₊· ͟͟͞͞➳❥ Thanos was practically obsessed with you, though. he would always like your posts, even commenting “😍😍” on some of them—of course, fueling some rumors of hidden romance between you two
˚₊· ͟͟͞͞➳❥ he had finally messaged you one day, his name popping up in your dms
@thanos
u down to be in my music video, pretty ?
@y/n
sure why not lol
˚₊· ͟͟͞͞➳❥ after a few days of exchanging messages you finally booked a flight (that he, of course, offered to pay for) to L.A—where the video would be filmed
˚₊· ͟͟͞͞➳❥ once you had landed and settled into your hotel room a bit, you and Thanos had met up for coffee—he explained the vision he had for the video, as well as telling you what he wanted from you in terms of your appearance in it
˚₊· ͟͟͞͞➳❥ “I’m thinkin’ of like, just having you as the main focus of the video” he said. you were incredibly flattered, how couldn’t you be? a big, hotshot rapper like him wanted to plaster your face all over a piece of his work. “main focus?” you asked, a touch of uncertainty in your voice. you had been in some music videos before, but just as a background character, never the lead girl. “Of course, I wanna showcase your beauty as much as I can.” he responded.
˚₊· ͟͟͞͞➳❥ your nerves were at an all time high as you drove to the filming location the day of the video shoot. once you got there the makeup artists began to work on you, minimal makeup, just as Thanos had earlier requested (he did want to showcase your beauty, after all)
˚₊· ͟͟͞͞➳❥ the on-set costume designer had chosen to dress you in a tight, mini white dress—a ushanka style hat being placed on your head to finish the look
˚₊· ͟͟͞͞➳❥ the music video idea followed two lovers who spend the night recording each other on a camcorder, engaging in stupid shenanigans around a mansion, showcasing and capturing carefree moments of each other
˚₊· ͟͟͞͞➳❥ walking onto set, you could feel thanos’s eyes all over you, admiring the way your body fit your dress and how the ring lights placed on set perfectly highlighted your facial features
˚₊· ͟͟͞͞➳❥ once actual shooting had begun, the romantic chemistry between the two of you was undeniable
˚₊· ͟͟͞͞➳❥ the romantic poses you were placed in by the director and Thanos himself obviously weren’t doing anything to dampen the atmosphere
˚₊· ͟͟͞͞➳❥ nearing the end of shooting, you were scripted to be holding the camcorder while staring into Thanos’s eyes, an implied kiss taking place before the screen would go black, thus marking the end of video
˚₊· ͟͟͞͞➳❥ though, once you got close enough to his face to the point where the tips of your noses were touching, the sexual and romantic tension had gotten unbearable. you had been very much aware of Thanos’s attraction to you prior to him asking you to be in his video, and you never quite expected you and him to be in the predicament you were in now.
˚₊· ͟͟͞͞➳❥ without even thinking, Thanos smashed his lips against yours—to your delight. pent up frustration causing the kiss to be slightly lewd, though you both quickly pulled away before you got carried away
“that definitely wasn’t scripted mr. Thanos.”
“Of course it wasn’t, pretty.”

My Pretty Girl - T.N.
Steal My Girl

Pairing: Ravenclaw and sort of ditzy but talented Reader x Slytherin notorious playboy Theodore Nott
Warnings: None (yet ;))
Summary: Theo's friends get to meet you for the first time.
< 2
__________________
Perfect.
You clapped your hands in satisfaction after taking a little study break to organize all your fabrics by color. The plan was originally to go to the dining hall to grab a quick snack, but your messy little studio set up in your dorm easily distracted you on the way out and made you change your plans.
Your fingers flipped through the pages of your design sketchbook. A small smile formed on your face as you traced your sketches.
Fashion.
The only thing that you felt competent in. You didn’t have to try to make things look good. It was the only thing that came natural to you. You could plan an entire outfit for any occasion faster than you could even list the ingredients in a simple potion. You weren’t going to become a doctor like both of your parents, but you thought it’d be better to do something you’re good at rather than forcing yourself to study materials that you’ll never be able to understand. No matter how many times they tried to persuade, or threaten, you to change career paths, you never strayed far from your dreams. The dreams that kept you happy when you were scolded for wanting to stay home and draw instead of going with your father to work.
At least you will never have the chance to mess up a surgery. That would be worse than the invention of jeggings.
The door swung open and your roommate walked in. You furrow your eyebrows upon her presence, wondering why she would be back so early from her date with Cedric.
“How’d your date go?” You closed your design book and walked towards your bed before flopping onto it.
So comfy.
Cho sighed before rolling her eyes, “stupid last minute quidditch practice.”
You giggled as your stomach growled. Maybe you should’ve gotten a snack before you decided to clean.
“Dining hall?” Cho offered her arm out.
You jumped up from your bed and happily skipped over to her and took her arm.
“I’m famished,” You exclaimed in desperate need of having anything in your stomach after the oatmeal bowl for breakfast.
“Me too, Cedric had promised me pastries from a bakery in Hogsmeade before I got canceled on,” Cho grumbled as the two of you walked in a pair towards the hall.
Pastries. Croissants. Ugh you missed home. France has the best pastries. Now you were craving a chocolate croissant. Not that croissants are the only pastry in France.
“Next ti- ow,” you rubbed your head after the harsh impact, stumbling a bit.
“Watch where you’re going next time mate,” another boy came up and landed a harsh slap on his back.
“I’m so sorry, are you okay?” The boy in front of you questioned frantically while trying to hide the fact that he was searching your head for any bruises. Theo might kill him if he made a bruise on his “pretty girl”.
“I‘m okay,” you waved your hands in front of your face, kind of nervous that people were starting to look.
“Hello y/n,” The other boy came up and offered his hand out.
You were confused on how he knew your name despite the fact that you didn’t know his, but still shook his hand.
The boy chuckled at your confused looking expression. He could understand why Theo had called you pretty instead of his usual “she’s hot”s that the group would receive when talking about girls.
“I’m Mattheo, Riddle,” he winked, “Nott’s friend. And this is Lorenzo.”
You made an ‘ohh’ face in recognition but you remained surprised at the fact that you were even linked to him.
Cho nudged your side. You looked over to her and was met with a raised eyebrow. You were as equally as confused as her. You and Theodore had only interacted once and it was during that one potions class, the day Cho had to skip due to sickness. You had no idea why his friends knew about you or were even talking to you.
But nonetheless you offered a warm smile towards the two boys, “nice to meet you.”
“Nice to finally meet you too,” Lorenzo returned the gesture. You liked him, he seemed nice.
Cho cleared her throat while clutching her stomach. You had forgotten what the two of you had even come to the hall for.
“Well, enjoy your meal!” You waved them goodbye as Cho dragged you to the Ravenclaw filled tables and out of their sights.
“Who are you losers bothering,” Theo scowled and smacked the two boys on the back.
“We were just getting acquainted with our best mate’s girlfriend,” Mattheo teased as Theo raised his arm pretending to hit him, making Mattheo duck.
“Girlfriend? Please, you and I both know I don’t do none of that,” Theo rolled his eyes and the trio walked over to their table.
“Lucky her, you’re not exactly boyfriend material yourself,” Enzo replied as they took their seats grabbing their lunches before quidditch practice. The first game between Slytherin and Gryffindor was coming up, they needed all the fuel they could get before Malfoy made them run what felt like 100 laps during practice.
“What are you talking about? I'm the epitome of it,” Theo replied confidently as he took a bite of his sandwich. Sandwich was a bit dry, Italians do it better.
“Right, someone bring Hannah over for questioning,” Mattheo laughed as Theo glared at him.
“We never dated, I don’t owe her anything.”
____________________
“IT’S SO COLD!” You let out a high pitched scream as a huge gust of wind blew right into your face. You had a sweater that you knitted yourself on, paired with a skirt and black tights along with a designer scarf you had searched the whole country for. It was late October, but you hadn’t expected the weather to drop this low. Maybe you should’ve worn your winter coat or opted for a bigger scarf. Or maybe you shouldn’t have come at all. That was the original plan until Cho had managed to convince you to attend. You didn’t really understand quidditch. The whole game seemed complicated to you, plus the whole flying really high and the possibilities of students getting hurt didn’t sit well with your stomach. But you came regardless and it seemed to make Cho very happy.
“I KNOW BUT WE HAVE SUCH GOOD SEATS!” Cho screamed over the loud clapping and cheering that signaled that the game was about to start. Loud screaming, another thing you weren’t a huge fan of.
“HERE!” Cho screamed as she took her earmuffs off and placed them on your head.
“YOU MIGHT NEED THEM MORE THAN I DO!” She yelled before turning her attention back to the game.
One by one players in either red or green began to fly out. Everyone you were cheering as if it was a competition to see which side would be the loudest.
“GO HARRY! YEAH!” You heard Cedric shout from the other side of Cho.
You didn’t know any Gryffindors that well but since you were in a crowd of people all supporting that team, you didn’t want to stand out so you decided to clap along.
You recognized a few Slytherin players, the faces of the two boys who you had bumped into a few days earlier were spotted flying on broomsticks. You secretly clapped for them as well.
The mixture of red and green made your heart happy. Christmas. Your favorite holiday. Only two months to go! You couldn’t wait until you get to start putting together presents and drink peppermint mochas with your friends. It was all so exciting!
Focus on the game!
You scolded yourself. You look up and frown as you see players begin to grow aggressive. You frowned as a Gryffindor player tried to throw one of those flying balls at Lorenzo.
You knew it was part of the game but the fact that someone had almost harmed the nice boy made you want to reach for your wand.
“Yay go Enzo!” You cheered and clapped as you watched him dodge them with ease. A few Gryffindors side eyed you and gave you nasty stares but it was hard to pay them any mind with the distracting colors of ketchup and mustard wrapped around their necks.
Theo wanted to thank Berkshire, he really did. He wanted to thank him for providing him the strength to throw bludgers at Gryffindors. What was he doing stealing your attention like that? Last time he checked Berkshire was busy trying to ask out a Slytherin a year younger than them. He needs to leave you alone, you were his friend first. Maybe he should throw a bludger and knock Berkshire off his broom.
Would that be a Slytherin or Gryffindor point?

With the drop of idias board game club design i wanted to draw rose in the club i feel she would be in. If grim can have a club then i feel she should aswell and i feel she would do best in board-game club. Awhile back i was figuring out things that rose would hold close in twist that are reminiscent of her family life in her world and the two main things i picked where 90’s music, and boardgames (and princesses). Then boom, shortly after azuls board game club design was released which was basically a calling that she had to be apart of the club

I also think its really funny how the members are the two people closest resembling to roses parents. It was the cherry on top honestly a shut in scientist genius and capitalist theater kid- same book different page. Cherry cherry on top was that ive already mentioned before i felt idia and rose would have a sibling dynamic which them both being in the same club i think would enhance PLUS rose barely has any interactions with my fav character azul so them being in the same club gives them more interactions. I think theyd be friends with beef, not like how idia and azul are friends with beef but like they are nice to each other but refuses to go easy on the other and will call the other out.
Rose loves games that require extra knowledge to beat like trivia or word games but as long as the game is tactile and is a game she can still play then she is down for anything. Scrabble is her go to game, its the game she carries a copy of. Rose is a yuu so she doesnt get cards but if she where to have a club card it would be her winning scrabble and having a gentle smile while the game board is a horrendous battle field of long and complicated words. Your telling me two geniuses and a know it all arent going to host the longest gut wrenching scrabble game known the mankind?
Unlike idia and azul though, rose is not a sore loser or sore winner. She accepts her loses with a bow and her wins with a smile and laugh at best, she plays for the fun and to connect with others. If someone isnt enjoying the game she is more than willing to change it even if it means she isnt as good at the new game. An example would be something my friend brought up, his sona “luz was from an isolated island and has a hard time speaking and understanding the common language at times. if they are playing scrabble rose, even if its roses favorite game she would offer for them to play something else. She knows how to be a peoples please and even if she puts on a front of kindness she still has genuine care deep down in there, its more willing to show in bgclub cus she is doing something she is passionate for and doesnt have any real life stakes
Lastly how she would play idia and azuls fav games
I think she would pick rp builds in dnd or builds for whatever the team is lacking, if you need a healer or tank she will craft a really good tank character but if the team is well rounded she will just go for something rp based. She has fun roleplaying but she usually goes for the same character archetype of a nobleman or princess because a girl had preferences
I think rose would be good at monopoly which would piss azul off because she isnt taking it seriously. Him and idia are fighting for their lives here and she just steals his land, THATS FRAUD ROSE!! I think he still wins monopoly the most because its azul ashengrotto playing monopoly but i think those wins come with alot of one sides arguments on how serious we are taking the monopoly economy. Rose still cheers on his wins though which adds more salt to the wound

(in case you're wondering what he's saying on the last panel: "Dustyyy...Birdie...My star...Your little starlight calls for you..Earthbread to Starduuuust..")
Silly little mini comic based on an interaction they had in my kingdom. It looked as if Shadow milk cookie rested his head on Stardust's shoulder and were just staring off into the distant lands together like the sillies they are. And that's where the idea for this comic come from (they moved by the time I was about to take a screenshot of them, so my only source is 'trust me, bro.')

Thooo, this is the closest piece of evidence I have (they literally got closer for this exact photo. Source for THAT? MY E Y E S) .

Oh, and Eternal Sugar cookie in my style in celebration of the new update. And yes, I got lazy and didn't add the Teto ahh hairstyle she has at the end (I'm sorry).

Have my little analysis notes of her design as compensation (yes, I am a nerd who likes drawing things accurately..in my own way~ ✨️ )
I've gotten to only half of the latest beast yeast episode, and so far, it seems pretty interestiiiing (I'm still scared for Holyberry, she's absolutely cooked)
By the way, if you have any characters you want to see in my art style (other than the usual two, of course), feel free to do so on my profile's asks aka the yapping time thingy for that and also do give headcanons you guys have of both SMC and Stardust and their dynamics (pleasepleasepleasepleaseplease). I might even draw some of them for funsies (because it is the perfect excuse to draw them more often, plus I gotta feed myself and you gang..at least some of you.)
Might rant about the latest beast yeast episode once I'm done with it, but we shall see (probably not, because this isn't really meant to be a page for ranting, pluuus it's too early for cancelation. /j).
For now, I wish you all a great time of your day and until the next post.

Types of witches
hey guys, thanks for those who have been interacting with my blog! if you would like me to cover anything specific you can ask and request it in my ask a question in my bio!
this is a bit of a long one but I will be going through all types of witches and giving you the basics! If any of these seem interesing or it seems like the path you want to follow, I strongly encourage you to do more research on that one type!
please remember this is based off my own research and understanding! - it may be a little different to your own or other peoples
Green Witch-
these type of witches really enjoy nature and are open to opening themselves up to drawing on the energies of the earth to help with their craft. They communicate with the land and things they find in and on the land to do their spell work and rituals all while respecting every they use and honouring plants, stones and the land help and energies. They embrace the natural world and its abilities.
Sea Witch-
in the modern day sea witches are very draw to working with water and more specifically the Ocean. They feel a connection to the ocean and are very drawn to it, or almost like a bond. (though you can be drawn to it and form a bond over time). They feel connected to the calming yet chaotic force of the oceans energy and power. They draw energy from the ocean to use in their craft.
Lunar Witch-
these witches are verry attracted to the moons energy and divine essence. They are very inclined to practice their craft at night time and often use the moon phases to do spell work. They honour the moon in their practices and spells, they are Intune with the moons cycles and the understanding of how the moon may affect their energy and the energy of people around them.
Kitchen Witch-
The witches that use this practice tend to use their kitchen in their practice (obviously, its in the name...). They tend to make edible spells and make their food as spells. So they can consume the benefits of their spells and use the herbs and ingredients to enjoy them. (not to mention make very tasty recipes!) A lot of their spell work will be done what they can find in their kitchen and the herbs and things they already own. - if you want to follow this path, please research toxic plants and herbs!
Solitary Witch-
A witch who chooses to practice their spiritual faith in the privacy of their home or other designated space, without the need to participate in a group such as that of a coven. This may be by choice, or perhaps they just haven’t yet found a group of fellow witches they would like to work with. A solitary witch can incorporate various different paths based on their interest and may or may not use witchcraft as part of a wider spiritual path or religion.
Nocturnal Witch-
This is similar to Lunar witches! refer back to that... they like to practice at night time and use the energy of the nights energy
Elemental Witch-
These witches use all the elements and/or the ones they are very drawn to in their craft. They represent each element in spell work and use them as a balance.
Swamp Witch-
From my understanding these are the 'cousins' of the sea and water witches. It is usually a solitary practice and isnt very well known (to my knowledge). They are also drawn to water and its uses, but not just its physical benefits but its deeper spiritual benefits too! As in the name they are very drawn to swamp and swamp area's and its benefits. They like how the murky water relates to their murky practices and what things they can find in the swamps that they can harness and use in their practice. To my knowledge they arent afraid to enter the spirit realm or scared of doing baneful magic.
(website for more knowledge: https://aminoapps.com/c/wicca-pagan-community/page/blog/swamp-witch-the-cousin-of-the-water-witches/QRVL_xdcXuNlqweVnVv2YVrqKNDE7JQBlY)
Crystal Witch-
Crystal Witches focus their magick on healing and manifesting. Crystals are known for their healing energies due to their ability to raise one's own vibration. Known as the crystalline structure, crystals emit this unwavering, constant high vibration, that when met with a lower vibration, has the ability to actually raise, in turn, providing a sense of healing qualities through an energetic level, which can therefore fast track our own physical healing. Crystal Witches not only use crystals to tend to ailments on all levels, but utilise the energy to place power behind their spell work and manifestations. With the unison of crystals, our minds, and intentions, the Crystal Witch is nothing short of powerful! If you’re drawn to crystals, rocks, stones alike, appreciate the gift of nature, find colour therapy helpful, and perhaps find yourself attracted to the study of geology, then you may be heading down the Crystal Witch path!
Eclectic Witch-
An Eclectic witch is someone who pulls from various witchcraft traditions for their spellwork and rituals. They rely on a variety of different cultures, beliefs, and systems to formulate their own personal witchcraft practice which may change and evolve over time.
Hereditary Witch-
A Hereditary witch is someone who was born into a family that practices witchcraft. Usually their knowledge is passed down through generations and each family may have their own traditions and belief system. Though, just because someone is born in a witch family it does not necessarily mean that they will be more knowledgeable or powerful than a non-hereditary witch.
Traditional Witch-
A traditional witch is someone who takes a historical approach to witchcraft. They look at old grimoires, witch trials, various witch lore, and historical accounts to lay the foundation for their own spells and rituals. Often traditional witches focus on working with the nature and history of the place they live and may work with the genius loci, or the local spirits.
Hedge Witch-
A Hedge witch works with the liminal spaces and the spirit realm. In the past a ‘hedge’ would mark a boundary of a village or settlement and thus represents the boundary between our physical reality and the spirit world. A hedge witch may be skilled at crossing that boundary through practices like astral travel.
Garden Witch-
See green witch info!
Cosmic Witch-
A cosmic witch incorporates astrology and astronomy into their witchcraft. They most likely closely follow the alignment of the planets and they will often will coordinate their spells and rituals based on the location of the planets and the moon.
Grey Witch-
These witches focus on the grey magick/magic which is neutral. Do research on they magic type!
White Witch-
These witches focus on the white magick/magic which is neutral. Do research on they magic type! Black witch-
These witches focus on the Black magick/magic which is neutral. Do research on they magic type!
Faerie Witch-
which draws inspiration from the mystical beings known as faeries. This article delves into the fascinating world of the Fae Witch, exploring its origins, core beliefs, and practices, as well as offering insights into how to embrace this magical path.
Solar Witch-
they love to bask in the warmth of a sunny day. Being outside is an important part of their practice and they may enjoy doing rituals outdoors during the day. The sabbats are important to their practice, as they are based on the movements of the sun, and especially, of course, the summer solstice, the longest day of the year.
One of the biggest challenges they have faced as a witch is connecting with the community that is often primarily interested in the moon, midnight and autumn.
Dragonian Witch-
Draconian is an initiate who follows the path of the Dragon. The word "Draconian" is an adjective that refers to idea of "the Dragon"- the primal, raw energy that empowers every ascent together with evolution on the initiatory path. The term is exploited along with the word "Dragon," to separate esoteric ideas from the mundane use, meaning the reference to mythological and fantasy creatures. In addition, the capitalization shows that we as individuals are dealing with energy of the magickal current, whereas the legendary dragons are merely used as symbols to represent the timeless force.
Hearth Witch-
While the Hearth Witch is in tune with nature, it is the Green Witch who wants to make a home in nature. The Hearth Witch wants to invite nature (and all her elements) inside for biscuits and tea.
They work to strengthen and honor the home as a sacred space, making it simple, peaceful, and nourishing.
Also known as a House Witch, Cottage Witch, Hedge Witch, the Wise Woman, Herb Wives, Wild Herb Men, and Cunning Folk, records and accounts show that virtually every village at one point in Europe had a healing person of sorts. Other folklore and stories tell of herbal healers in many other cultures too. The Hearth Witch’s practice is part herbalism, part energy healing, part counseling, and part nature mysticism. Hearth Witches are usually tuned into the four elements and observe nature’s cycles, rhythms, and pauses closely. Hearthcrafting is essential to the Hearth Witch. Magical homemaking activities such as candle making, naturally dying fabric, weaving, knitting, and sewing are all things that the Hearth Witch finds grounding and sacred.
Religious Witch-
these witches use witchcraft that is found in or related to their religion that they practice. They may work with deities and pantheons of gods in their craft to help better it or even just to have a deeper connection with the deity of their choice or their religion in general.
Secular Witch-
they practice a style of witchcraft that is separate from their spirituality. The word separate is absolutely key. What this means that they may have spiritual or religious beliefs but they do not touch upon their witchcraft practices. The witchcraft practice and the spiritual/religious practice are not used in conjunction. They’re two separate things in their life, just like how your witchcraft may not touch your work life or family life.
Techno Witch-
the merging of neopaganism and magical ritual with digital technologies. This may be through the use of technology merely as an aid, such as video conferencing for example, or it may be a worship of the technology itself.
Pop Culture witch-
umbrella term for the transformative use of media in Pagan customs and rituals. Pop culture Paganism covers a wide variety of activities, such as revering book or film characters as deities, using pop culture figures in religious rituals and media, practicing religions or worshiping deity pantheons depicted in pop culture media, or simply depicting traditional deities as they appear in pop culture media. The consumption and creation of fannish media such as fanfiction and fancrafts can also be an important part of a pop culture Pagan's practice.
City Witch- also known as urban witchcraft
Urban witchcraft, like most other types of witchcraft, is not a formalised religion or spiritual practice. Instead, it combines all of the methods utilised by witches who practise in metropolitan areas. It shares some similarities with tech magic and frequently involves a close association with genius loci (the spirit of a place). This practice of city witchcraft is a distinctively contemporary kind of magic; before to the modern era, witches would either avoid cities or, if they were in a big city, limited their practices to divination, poppet work, and other non-location-dependent techniques.
Country Witch-
The opposite of city witchcraft (to my understanding)
Art Witch-
Art Witchcraft is a path of witchcraft focused around the use of color and the creation of physical forms of art imbued with magic.
This path can be catered towards whichever artistic medium you prefer: Drawing, Painting, Sculpture, Digital, Traditional, Written etc. but typically involves an increased interest in sigil making, visual spellwork, Divination and utilizing the psychological effects of color for magical purposes.
Divination Witch-
The Divination Witch's primary concentration is on divination skills such as tarot and oracle, pendulum, scrying, runes, tea leaf reading, meditation, and communicating with your inner guides/higher being. To them, the most essential thing is to incorporate these divination methods into their daily lives, or at least ceremonial rites. A Divination Witches can draw power from the earthy elements, meditate, or use seasonal changes to create gateways and lower the barrier between the physical and spiritual worlds. For individuals who are very intuitive, have the capacity to hear, see, or sense what others cannot, identify as empaths, and have the uncanny ability to foretell the future, you have an exceptional gift that is best suited to the Divination Witch. You may have a natural skill, but if not, you can always improve your psychic powers via meditation, crystals, and, of course, plenty of practice.
Glamour Witch-
These witches use a lot of glamour magic in their practice and its a perfect way to do spells for closeted witches. They use attraction spells, colour magic and various sigils in their make up and on their perfumes and beauty product to help them throughout daily life.
Necromancy Witch-
They use necromancy
Necromancy is the practice of magic involving communication with the dead by summoning their spirits as apparitions or visions for the purpose of divination; imparting the means to foretell future events and discover hidden knowledge.
Death Witch-
I personally define death witchcraft as working with and honor spirits of the dead (ghosts, ancestors) as well as the power of death itself (endings, resurrections). Death witches reflect upon the concept of death, come to terms with their own death, and work through spiritual deaths in our lives. We also communicate with the dead regularly. Many of us heal and help the dead, and in return, they aid us in our magical workings. Rather than fearing death, we embrace it as a pivotal point in the cycle of life.
Augury Witch-
Similar to a shaman in practice, the augury witch will help to direct those on a spiritual quest by interpreting the signs and symbols the traveler encounters. The term derives from the official Roman augurs, whose function was not to foretell the future but to discover whether or not the gods approved of a proposed course of action by interpreting signs or omen such as the appearance of animals sacred to the gods. It is important to note that augury witches are not "fortune tellers", as their gifts are of prophecy and not divination. In the context of prophecy, in his Scottish play Shakespeare's witches appear as augury witches.
Celtic Witch-
incorporates some elements of Celtic mythology. It employs the same basic theology, rituals and beliefs as most other forms of Wicca. Celtic Wiccans use the names of Celtic deities, mythological figures, and seasonal festivals within a Wiccan ritual structure and belief system, rather than a traditional or historically Celtic one.
Dianic Witch-
is a modern pagan goddess tradition focused on female experience and empowerment. Leadership is by women, who may be ordained as priestesses, or in less formal groups that function as collectives. While some adherents identify as Wiccan, it differs from most traditions of Wicca in that only goddesses are honored. The Dianic Wiccan belief and ritual structure is an eclectic combination of elements from British Traditional Wicca, Italian folk-magic as recorded by Charles Leland in Aradia, New Age beliefs, and folk magic and healing practices from a variety of different cultures.
Wicca-
I will do a master list of wiccan practices... theres a lot to cover there imo
Seax witch-
a tradition of neopagan practice blending aspects of Wicca with the iconography of Anglo-Saxon paganism, while not seeking to reconstruct the early mediaeval religion itself.
Sex Witch-
combines occult knowledge with tried-and-true relationship advice to provide spells for each stage of a relationship. Self-love, seduction, sex, love, protection, revenge, and healing are all covered.
Coven witches-
a coven is a gathering or community of witches, like an affinity group, engagement group, or small covenant group. - opposite of solitary witches

Ok so, I had a silly idea for an Au. What if Nemona was sent back in time to Hisui?
Introducing, Warden Nemona au!!! I’ve been thinking about it a lot recently so I finally decided to compile my thoughts in a post for fun!
First off, how did Nemona even get sent to Hisui in the first place?
By pure accident! Or at least that's what I'm going for right now lol.
A space time distortion opened up and she just happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. ( I probably could somehow connect this to the story of SV considering there are some time travel shenanigans going on there. I’ll think more about this in the future. )
Her situation is much like Ingo’s though it differs in some ways.
When she landed in Hisui she was eventually found and taken in by the Diamond Clan. She has no memory of her life beforehand, except for her name.
Ok here's where it diverges from the canon story a bit. For this au I decided to add a new Noble Pokemon, a Hisuian Goodra! ( hopefully I am not breaking the lore too much with this addition lol )
Now why did I pick Goodra of all pokemon? A few reasons.
I really like Hisuian Goodra. That's it, that's the first reason lol.
There is a Alpha Hisuian Goodra in the Ancient Quarry in the Coronet Highlands. I figure this Goodra could be a noble in this au. (also this location allows for more interactions with Ingo so yay! :D)
In SV, Nemona has a Goodra on her team, so it acts as kind of a callback to that.
The biggest reason I ultimately chose Hisuan Goodra though. Take a look at its pokedex entry real quick.
( screenshot from bulbapedia. Link to page here )
Ok so, the entry says that “it loathes solitude and is extremely clingy” and that it’ll be very upset if those dearest to it leave its side. And that actually kinda reminded me of Nemona. Let me explain.
In the story of SV, before she meets the player, Nemona is looking for a friend/rival to challenge her. Her passion for battling is very clear, to the point where she seems to scare away other students due to her intensity. Everyone around her is either scared of her for her abilities and/or dislikes her because her family is rich and they assume she’s a stuck up princess. In the post game dialogue with Nemona, she talks about how she feels like “There was this invisible wall between me and everyone else.” She was clearly very lonely, and just wanted to have a friend who she could connect with. So when she does meet the protag, who doesn't push her away and seems to enjoy battling like she does, she immediately tries to befriend them. She is shown to be kinda clingy, probably afraid of losing her one chance at making a real friend. ( Of course, after the events of Area Zero and Mochi Mayhem, she finally has a group of friends who understand her, so yay!!! )
TLDR: It seems that both Hisuian Goodra and Nemona have a fear of being alone and tend to act a bit clingy because of it. So symbolism!!! Yay!!!
Here is a ref sheet of the outfit I designed for Nemona ( plus some extra doodles for fun. )
Ok let's move on to the actual plot of the au. I’m not gonna write everything here, just the basics, and I may change some details later on, but here's what I got! This takes place after the events of SV, and about five-ish months before Pla.
First things first, Nemona lands in the Coronet Highlands and is actually first discovered by the noble Hisuian Goodra. It is quite skittish and shy, but is intrigued by this mysterious person who had just fallen from the sky. So it comes closer. When she begins to stir however, it immediately hides in its shell, shaking nervously. Around this time, both Warden Ingo Warden Melli had seen something falling into Lord Goodras domain and they decided to check it out together. With Lady Sneaslers help, they climbed onto the top where they found Nemona, lying on the ground unconscious. Ingo immediately springs into action, suspecting that what happened to him has happened once again. He thinks they should take her to the nearest camp to get help. At first Melli wants nothing to do with this but is convinced by Ingo to help out in the end. The two end up finding Adaman and explain the situation to him. Adaman decides to bring her over to the Diamond Settlement for safety. Once again, Melli disagrees with this decision, but once again he is convinced to help out.
So that’s how she meets the Diamond Clan.
A Few notes:
Despite the amnesia, she seems to remember almost everything about pokemon. She can even recognize if a specific Pokemon looks different than one she had seen in the future. (For example, She states that she, “has never seen a Goodra with a shell before!”)
Her personality is mostly the same. She is cheerful and positive even in tough situations, which makes it easy for the other Wardens to get along with her. However, they do think she is kiiiiiiiiinda weird, because everytime she sees a new pokemon, her first reaction is “I’m gonna fight it!” Most of them are convinced that she has no survival instincts.
She, like Ingo, uses Pokeballs, making her the only member of the diamond clan to use them.
Due to her low stamina, she finds it difficult to run or climb for too long, leading her to usually sit upon Goodra’s shell while traveling.
She and Ingo get along well. Whenever they start up a conversion they will almost always start infodumping about pokemon to each other. Melli tries to avoid them at all costs.
In the story, when Lord Goodra becomes frenzied, Nemona tries to help him alone, but ends up over exerting herself and passing out for a whole day. Adaman basically forced her to leave it to Akari, so as to not hurt herself again. Nemona is glad that Akari saved the day, but feels disappointed in her own abilities and feels kinda useless for not being able to help.
She does get along with Akari though! Especially when Nemona realized how strong of a battler she was.
And that's what I’ve got so far! I’m definitely gonna work more on this in the future though. If y'all have any questions about the au feel free to ask! You can either comment on this post or through the inbox, either works!
Thanks for listening to me ramble on about my silly ideas lol. Hopefully it makes sense. Anyways, hope you enjoyed :D

Hi! I'd like to run a game that's Jane Austen-esque or a political/social drama with fantasy elements. Think A Court of Fey and Flowers, except I don't want to subscribe to their channel so I haven't actually seen it. Fairy settings in particular would be appreciated! Thank you in advance
THEME: Political and Social Drama
Hello, I think I have a really fun collection of options for you to take a peek at. We’ve got fairies, we’ve got secrets, and we’ve got drama!
Fey Court Chaos, by Mabbly.
Fey aristocrats party the equinox away. You have been invited by the most prestigious monarchs of this wild magical land. Parlay with potential allies, humiliate your enemies, & impress those worth impressing–but avoid getting kicked out yourself!
Fey Court Chaos is a party-based tabletop role-playing game designed to let you escalate a royal ball into dramatic highs and lows. You will need a pool of dice or coins to play. Any kind will do, but the fancier the better!
This is a game about trying to make a name for yourself while possibly ruining the status of your companions. You’ll wager points of Reputation every time you do something risky, with the risks rising depending on the status of the person you’re interacting with. Success means a rise in reputation or learning a juicy secret. Failure means losing someone’s favour, or even giving one of your own secrets away! If you love fantasy faerie settings, this game gives you all the basics, and has advice for the game runner as well. You should definitely check it out!
The 147th Annual Necromancer’s Ball, by Meghan Cross.
You are cordially invited…
The 147th Necromancer's Ball is a one page TTRPG about necromancy and feeling fancy for a GM and 3-6 players played with a single d6.
You are necromancers attending The 147th Necromancer's Ball, dressed to the nines with your familiars in tow. You are ready to have a wonderful time, but more than that you are ready to show your rival once and for all that you are better than them by displaying your social prowess (and maybe even winning Necromancer of the Year.)
But not everything goes according to plan when a party crasher shows up to ruin the evening for everyone - and it is up to you to stop them and save the party!
This is a game all about being dramatic as fuck and also petty as fuck. You can roll Necromancy when you want to do magic or command the undead, and you roll Feeling Fancy when you engage in social entanglements or navigate the ball. Showing that you’re the Necromancer of the Year won’t be easy, especially once a party crasher shows up to complicate things - and possibly steal your chances of winning!
If you love silly games, as well as taking time to describe just how drop-dead (pardon the pun) gorgeous you look, this might be your game.
Avalon Society, by Martian Machinery.
Avalon Society is a game about courtly love and intrigue, and the conflict between passion and duty. You'll play knights, lords, ladies, upstarts, pretenders, unknowns, or possibly a changeling or a sorcerer. Pull swords out of stones, break curses, ascend to the round table, duel your rivals, or even fall in love with them. It’s up to you.
Avalon Society is a setting created for Good Society, which is the game of social intrigue, and in fact, the game that helped build A Court of Fae and Flowers! Good Society takes place in the same time as Jane Austen’s novels, but Avalon Society replaces character roles and family backgrounds in order to represent an Arthurian story. The court also shifts seasonally, which feels very reminiscent of a fairy court. The biggest downside - you also have to buy Good Society in order to use this supplement.
Townhouse Dracula, by Tenbear.
You have the opportunity to attend a dinner party at the one and only Townhouse Dracula. Here you will vie for Dracula’s favour, which includes eternal life and power beyond your imagination.
To decide who gains this power Dracula puts party guests through a gauntlet of past memories. Guests do their best to impress Dracula and convince them that they would be an asset to have in the Dracula lineage.
Townhouse Dracula presents the players with scenarios that their characters will have to navigate, trying to piece together Dracula’s memories when they might not have all the answers.
This is first and foremost an improv game, so it’s good for people who like coming up with pieces of a story on the fly. You’ll get tokens as rewards for being funny, clever, bold, kind, etc. At the end of the game, you’ll tally your score and determine whether or not you become part of Dracula’s lineage. If you like the mysterious allure of vampires and want to stretch your storytelling muscles, you might want to check out this game.
Tax Cuts and Pixie Dust, by Weird Blue Yonder.
The home of a sordid assortment of terrible woodland spirits doing terrible things in a desperate bid to sit atop the Fairy Throne.
You are those woodland spirits, and election season is just around the corner…
Tax Cuts and Pixie Dust is probably the most political game on this list. It uses pretty standard faerie tropes - you can be an elf, a leprechaun, a banshee… even a giant! All of you are supposed to be part of the same party, but you all secretly want the throne!
This is a game about dirty politicians, with the humour and camp turned up to allow you to get really ridiculous with it. The resolution system involves building small dice pools of d6’s, tallying successes to see how you fared. The GM is responsible for presenting scenarios and complications, which are present in a few roll tables. At the end of elections you vote on each player’s position in the new court, and that’s game!
Butterfly Court, by mishagw.
In Butterfly Court, you will play as a member of the titular Butterfly Court, the court of the monarchy of the kingdom Praecia. This is a court intrigue game that uses the No Dice No Masters system, based on Avery Alder's Belonging Outside Belonging games.
This is a storytelling, roleplaying game, where players portray members of a court, but not necessarily the monarch or the heir. Instead, the game focuses on everyday lives, intrigue, relationships, obligations, and myriad other concerns of the regular people in the court: nobles, but also staff, servants, artists, and other people that make court life possible.
Butterfly Court doesn’t dictate who you are exactly, but it leaves a broad space for different kinds of supernatural beings. So if you want faeries, this game is certainly able to take place in a faerie court. The game is designed to pit your characters into situations that are difficult for the country at large: rebellions, scandals, famine, crime, etc. You also create factions that have different methods and priorities.
Everything that you create together is shared communally, because Butterfly Court uses a GM-less, diceless game system. This means that you’ll each have shared authority over where the story goes next, although there is a cycle of play that helps you move from one scene to the next. I think that the idea of this being a game about different factions navigating political turmoil has the potential to be represented really well through a collaborative system like this.
Games I've Recommended in the Past
If you want something more like Jane Austen, you might like Le Bon Ton! If you like equal parts adventure and social intrigue, then Household might be for you.

dave strider piss arc :(
(page 1430-1447)
This update begins by explicitly confirming that Rose is the Seer, which is still surprising to me, so I want to crack into the meaning of these titles for a moment.
John is the Heir, which relates to inheritance and family, something he’s really surrounded by. His sprite is his own nanna, he found an important message in his heirloom Colonel Sassacre’s (passed between three generations), and his dad’s notes, safe and room loomed large even after Dad himself was kidnapped. In their episode covering the LOWAS walkaround, Serious Business podcast mentioned that John has escaped his house but is still surrounded by items from his house that fell to the ground and were adopted by the salamanders, which I thought was a great point. So the first part of John’s title, ‘heir’, describes how he’s (unwillingly) defined by his family, while the second part, ‘breath’, relates to his windy land in Sburb. John’s quest is to free the fireflies and get rid of the oil (p.1358 – CHECK!!!!!!!!!!!!!) which relates to escape and no longer being trapped, as well as free and open communication via the mail system, and a clean, natural environment (something very unlike the suburbs, perhaps). It’s possible that a Sburb player’s quest almost subverts the first part of their title.
Rose is the Seer, which relates to understanding, transcendental knowledge, and magical divination. Rose definitely sees herself as smarter and more objective than the average person, and her superiority complex is one of her clearest flaws. So her quest could in some way involve opening her eyes to alternative viewpoints and coming to understand that she’s wrong sometimes. I love this idea, because these titles are presumably temporary and only exist while the characters are within the Incipisphere – they don’t define their whole lives temporally and they also can’t sum them up as entire, complex people. So it makes sense for the players’ quests to be about exploring beyond their current self conceptions, and learning how to be otherwise.
I don’t know who is messaging Rose with the fancy on-screen dialog boxes, but it’s similar to what we’ve seen in walkarounds on page 253 and 1358 when clicking on a player or interactable item, and has already been extended to still panels with PM’s sequence on pages 1417-29. So, this must be a way to clearly indicate terminal commands without having to make a full walkaround game, and this is a natural transition because we’ve seen it so recently. I like the idea that each future construct (each terminal?) uses a different font, like an analog to the different Pesterchum text colors.
This sequence explains why Rose wasn’t answering John or Dave for a while after entering (p.1391, 1393). In act 2 she was very critical of John for being ‘completely unresponsive’ (p.508), ignoring messages and behaving strangely, not knowing about WV’s commands. Now she’s experiencing the other end of it, and it could explain why she’s currently smiling and claiming to ‘like it here’ (p.1402) if her mind is being influenced by someone else. I can’t imagine Rose enjoys someone else thinking for her, so I’m excited to see her reaction once she realizes what’s going on.
These two panels side by side (p.1433-34) are extremely cool – Rose and John facing opposite directions, each with a nearby light flickering on their face. Despite the different art styles it’s like they are wordlessly looking at each other across a fire or something, and is a very smooth transition between the characters.
John sees two new enemy types on his land – the TAR BASILISK and COPPER GICLOPS, with some imps and salamanders for scale. Looking at this side by side with page 1081, the giclops doesn’t look much bigger than the crude ogres, but is probably tougher and has spikes or something, with better attack patterns. This is good from a game design standpoint to vary enemy types instead of just having them get bigger with more health, so props to Skaia I guess. It didn’t need to make its game this cool but it did anyway.
From there we move back to Jade and Dave playing Sburb, and get some parallels with Act 1 as Jade tries to figure out the mechanics and Dave is left powerless to her bathroom destruction. Dave gets over four hours on his cruxtruder countdown, so Jade being proactive installing the game actually did help! And instead of prototyping the sprite with the dead crow because she’d seen it in a vision, as I expected, she just did it due to feeling sad for the bird. And maybe because, just a few pages ago, Dave told Jade ‘i always keep birds in here its sort of my thing’ and that he was a ‘lame gothy supervillain’ (p.1400). That was to waking Jade, so it doesn’t carry over, but I still feel like Dave has no right to complain.
There’s now a ‘first prototyping’ gif for both John (p.185) and Dave (p.1446) but Rose’s was within [S] Enter, and not a page in itself. If Jade gets one I’m gonna be so annoyed by the asymmetry of it all.
We see more of the distinction between waking Jade and dream Jade. Waking Jade is pretty good at Sburb, has some amount of common sense, and is aware of the basics on what needs to happen. Dream Jade is flighty, very emotional, disconnected from the situation and nearly impossible to reason with, She almost feels like a receiver for information; it goes through her but she’s unable to actually do anything with it – see Dave asking Jade not to prototype the sprite, and Jade having this thought immediately overwritten.
Anyway I gotta talk about the worst part of this update, which is Dave’s piss prank. From what I know about cultural stereotypes of teenage boys, this could happen, but it’s still bad to think about and a shitty thing to do. I don’t care that it’s gross, but it says a lot about Dave that his reason for wanting to trick John into drinking piss is to punish him for having bad taste in movies, and his reason for not pulling this prank is that he can’t be bothered. What a brutal and toxic mindset to think that it’s okay to make somebody sick for liking a movie. What a defense mechanism to paper a ‘don’t want to’ over meaningfully considering his actions.
That being said, I like the panels on page 1441, and how they perfectly lay out Dave’s plan. The caption and followup page aren’t even needed – these tell the whole story in an impressive shorthand.

Our event, Grim's Hollow Haunt, is just 11 days away, and we're excited to share all the details of what's happening that weekend! The 19th & 20th is the is the weekend that it will take place. All shows and ppvs on this day are prerecorded, regardless of if your character participates or not.
The setting takes place in a secluded cabin on the outskirts of Salem, MA. We’re bending reality a bit for this experience. The sprawling three-story cabin is isolated, surrounded by vast open land and eerie trees. Despite its remote feel, it’s just a short drive from Salem, where your characters can explore the city if they choose.
We invite you to click THIS link to read the fictional tale of Barnabas Grim and the legendary events that inspired this experience. It’s designed to feel like a local legend—stories pieced together over time through rumors and hearsay, blending elements of the supernatural with Salem’s own rich history.
With that in mind, we’ll be sharing starters the 19th and at least posting one dash game on the 20th to spark interactivity and creativity. Starters / prompts will mostly be one-liners inspired by the story and the cabin. During this trip, feel free to let creepy, unexplained things unfold—have fun with it!
Again, both important links worth checking out: here and here!
Now, to explain how the weekend will go:
We're all staying in the cabin—or at least, that’s the idea! There are plenty of rooms, and even multiple couples can share if they’d like. Remember, this isn’t just about romance; it’s about enjoying the experience together. When else will you get to do something like this? Of course, it’s perfectly fine if your character isn’t affected by the supernatural—after all, not everyone has those experiences in real life. But, at the end of the day, it’s all for fun!
Saturday during the day, feel free to explore Salem and whatnot. Do whatever you wish until nightfall.
The carnival kicks off Saturday night around 6pm CST. In canon, it will be set later to capture the feel of darkness and mystery. We encourage everyone to dress up in Halloween costumes for the event! Feel free to share your character’s look, but it’s not mandatory. For those managing multiple muses, use this time to draft posts or brainstorm outfit ideas. You can find all the carnival highlights on this page—just imagine a spooky yet thrilling carnival atmosphere. Keep in mind, this is the only October event featuring Halloween costumes, so take advantage and get inspired by the attractions listed!
Sunday night around 6pm CST, we’ll be hosting the final dinner: Grim’s Last Supper. You can find more details about it here. We encourage everyone to wear Victorian Gothic-inspired attire—think dark, rich colors, suits, dresses, and the like. Feel free to get creative, but keep in mind it’s a dressy, elegant, and formal dinner party. To keep things lively, we’ll also share a drunken Truth or Dare / AMA dash game that night for a bit of fun. One of us will link a drunken text generator if you really want to embrace the vibe!
Please, please make sure to reach out to inboxes that night and get as wild and weird as you want! Just keep in mind that it’s all for fun, and we want everyone to have a great time. Also, be considerate and avoid reblogging the game IF you will not be around to participate. Reblog to only the number of muses you can handle, too. Don’t get overwhelmed. Let’s make the most of the night!
We know there’s an NJPW PPV that weekend, but we decided to host this event a weekend earlier since the actual holiday weekends tends to be packed. Many of us have other OOC gatherings then, and some will be busy on Halloween night itself, so this felt like the best choice for an engaging and interactive event!
Quick question for everyone: would you like to have a plot twist during the final supper? Maybe something fun and unexpected, like a dare gone wrong or a creepy scenario that could (somewhat) realistically unfold? There’s always the classic power outage, but we know you all are super creative and might have other ideas! It’s not a must, but feel free to share your thoughts below so we can brainstorm together if something comes to mind.

Eldritch Tech Support: The Algorithm of Chaos is worth reading
This is a novella that is made up of the prompts that I wrote over the last year or so. The main novella is 16 chapters of Aeth (they/them, gender non conforming, tech support, magic user, priest with no god) dealing with the trials and tribulations of helping out with the technological problems of: Spider Gods, a perfectly normal family with a normal computer and a normal house with a small god inside, their impossible belief and childhood nightmare that wishes to consume them, and a crush on their bestest friend. Lyta (she/her, also tech support, has magic based on emotions and virtue which is a surprise for you later on) who is dealing with much the same things including a big ol crush on their bestest friend Aeth.
Throughout the story those two will have to deal with the usual nonsense of their jobs as well as the mysterious new app Swwarm that seems to be everywhere and is designed solely with the algorithm in mind that thinks all engagement is good engagement even if you report a video for inciting violence. You interacted with it so you must want more of it. Where did the Swwarm come from, and what is it for, why is it doing the things that it is doing?
What Do You Get Out of this Novella?
The Algorithm of Chaos is 16 chapters long, expanded and edited from the ones that I posted before. There are two bonus stories that I have not posted anywhere else: an epilogue to the main story, and a side story about Ji the Exterminator and Lyta's ex-girlfriend. The epilogue was an excuse for me to write some Aeth and Lyta because I like them. And the story Ghostchains is about the Exterminator Ji who is terrible and I couldn't stop thinking about them and wanted to see what they were like out in the world of The Dead Lands fighting a summoned "artificial" "intelligence".
You also get the original prompts that started the whole thing, edited and made a bit more coherent. The whole thing is about 119 pages long and is available as a PDF download for you to do whatever you want with.
Here is where you can buy it on kofi for $1 or whatever you want
Here is where you can buy it for free on itch.io or whatever you want
My only request is that if you do get it for free (hell yeah get those free things) is that you reblog this with a little one sentence (or more) review. I'm not really big or popular enough to have marketing or influence or anything, so any reblogs and comments and reviews will be great! Please and thank you!
Thanks for reading all of this and I hope you enjoy my novella!

Divining the Leaves by Shveta Thakrar
Publisher's Summary: Plant-loving Ridhi Kapadia and popular Nilesh Batra were friends once.
Now, seventeen and alone, Ridhi blends natural perfumes, wears flower crowns, and wanders her local woods, listening for the leafy whispers of her beloved trees. Pleading for the yakshas to admit her into their enchanted forest kingdom, where she knows she truly belongs.
After learning his parents’ perfect marriage is a sham and getting suspended from school, a heartsick Nilesh lands at Ridhi’s doorstep—the last thing either of them wants. So when a pretty yakshini offers him the distraction of magic, the same magic he mocked Ridhi for believing in, he jumps at it.
Furious, Ridhi strikes a bargain with a noblewoman of the yaksha court. In exchange for helping restore her reputation, Lady Sulochana will turn Ridhi into the yakshini she yearns to be—and teach her to divine the trees’ murmurs.
But when Nilesh ends up trapped in the yakshas’ realm, Ridhi realizes the leaves might be telling a disturbing story about the forest her heart is rooted in—one that, even if the two of them band together, threatens to shred the future like so many thorns.
My Thoughts: If anyone is ever asking for a book that is perfect for the beginning of spring, this one is what I will hand them. Divining the Leaves leads the reader into and through a lush forest and you can almost smell the scents as they're described. In that aspect, it brought to mind The Secret of a Heart Note by Stacey Lee. In both novels scent and magic play a big role and the main characters in both are creating aromas that I want to be able to experience.
This is a book chock full of enchantment in the natural world. It opens with portions of two different poems that allude to the outdoors. The plants, weather, and air are vividly described. The poems are followed by a tale about an interaction between a child and a yakshini that began a connection that lasted into adulthood. The child was a dreamer that noticed the magical aspects of the trees and was drawn to the yakshini and the gems in the forest over the years. There are a few more storytelling moments like this later in the book.
Following these short pieces, the current day story with Ridhi and Nilesh begins. Their story is typical daily life, but glimmers of the magical realm keep appearing. Is it a trick of the light or is the forest truly alive with magic? I enjoyed those glimpses of the otherworldly spaces throughout the story.
There are many elements and words that were new to me like garba, which is a cultural dance as I learned in this video. But while reading the acknowledgments, I also had to look up the word cottagecore. So obviously, this book was a learning experience in more than one way.
I labeled this a fantasy, but hesitated with the romance designation. There is some romance in the story, but that isn't the focus. There's a lot going on and in fact the machinations of some of the characters were a little more convoluted than I could follow sometimes. It all eventually made sense, but it's definitely not a fluffy rom-com to breeze through without a lot of thought.
I had a strong preference for Ridhi's storyline. Her character seems to be more developed and she has more time on the page. I also appreciated the many ways that she was connected to the forest and the beings there.
Recommendation: If you are in the mood for a refreshing spring tale full of blossoms and dark forests, grab this one as soon as you can. The magic is seeping all around the very realistic family and identity issues that the main characters are dealing with in their own unique ways. If slightly twisty intrigue is not your jam though you may not be in such a rush.

Headbone Interactive History and Lost Media Search
While perhaps currently most recognized for Bungie the Frog, from its Gigglebone Gang edutainment games. Headbone Interactive was a video game company with an interesting history and output. Headbone Interactive now has a legacy of company pivots, half remembered nostalgia, and Lost Media. Before going bankrupt in 2001, it was once critically acclaimed and positioned as a possible competitor with much better remembered Edutainment companies Humongous Entertainment (Freddie Fish, Pajama Sam, Spy Fox) and The Learning Company, (Reader Rabbit, Carmen Sandiago, Cluefinders)
Founded in the early 90s and releasing their first games in 1995 on PC and Mac, including Elroy Goes Bugzerk, intended for ages 8 to 108, and The Gigglebone Gang: Pantsylvania, for ages 4-8, both the first of Headbones two game series. These games established a distinctive visual style in their use of composited black and white photographs as backgrounds for its cartoonish characters and props.
The games were Edutainment titles, with the Gigglebong Gang series being largely creative and exploratory due to its young intended audience, now somewhat notorious for the way its host looked and spoke directly to camera, sometimes from very close, as well as clearing the screen of unwanted creations by eating them. Meanwhile, Elroy series, sometimes called What the Heck will Elroy Do Next?, was a point and click adventure with animated cutscenes, that, meeting children where they were at with a story about a bored kid’s quest to find a cool enough bug to defeat his 10 year old nemesis, taught facts about real insects along Elroy and his Dog Blue’s journey to find the elusive Technoloptera.

Both games sold and reviewed well enough to get sequels, Gigglebone Gang the same year with Alphabonk Farm, and Elroy in 1996 with Elroy Hits The Pavement, that introduced Elroy’s friend Sid and leaned further into spies and conspiracies, teaching more diverse problem solving and elementary science.
Also in 1996, Headbone released another Gigglebone Gang title, Infinity City) and an interactive dress up game about Elroy and Sid putting on short plays, Elroy’s Costume Closet. As well as a game intended as the first of a new series, Iz and Auggie: Escape From Dimension Q, marked for ages 10 to 110, and featured more complex puzzle solving as well as incomplete failure states.

In 1997 the final Gigglebone Gang Game (World Tour), released, and after that, the story gets a little interesting.
Headbone Entertainment had established a Company website as early as 1996, and kept it updated with the ability to receive a demo disk of their offerings, mail order their games, and even download additional content for Elroy’s Costume Closet, with new outfits released periodically and often themed to holidays.
An archive of the website’s Coming Soon page from January of 1997 lists two titles as Upcoming, Velma’s Costume Closet, another interactive dress up game, this time for the Gigglebone Gang, and Elroy: King of the Jungle, both slated for a Summer 1997 release.
Neither of these games, can be proven to have released, in 1997 or otherwise, though there is an unsubstantiated claim on the Headbone Interactive Wikipedia page that Elroy: King of the Jungle, received a “Limited Release” in 1999.

Around 1998, the company restructured, and attempted to diversify. Headbone.com pivoted from the landing page for a game company to The Headbone Zone, a child friendly corner of the internet including, a moderated on-site forum, online based email service, and several in browser games. Including quiz based games Riddleopolis and Scienceopolis, Management sim Rags to Riches, and Elroy’s Netscapade, later renamed the Headbone Derby, a series of educational challenges designed for school computer classes, intended to teach students how find information online in order to help Elroy, and later Iz and Auggie, solve mysteries.

Camp Champ, an interactive collectible trading card game on Headbone Zone, was sponsored by GoGurt and interfaced with codes on the packaging to unlock additional cards.
At its peak, Headbone Zone supposedly had over 350,000 registered users.
In 1999, Headbone Interactive also attempted to break into animation with their distinctive vector art style. This included thirteen 3-minute episodes of a cartoon called Fidgetmore Academy for ABC Family, the pilot for an Elroy cartoon, Elroy & Blue: The 11th Caller, and a series of ten 1 minute interstitials created for the Discovery Channel, Hugo Takes a D-Tour, only three of which are preserved on former Headbone Employee Chuck Gamble’s YouTube page.

Chuck Gamble’s online Portfolio includes both direct mention of and concept art for the mysterious Elroy: King of the Jungle in the form of character designs for Ooga and Doc. Both seen and named as “Professor von Hefflemelon (the pre-eminent Jungleologist) and Ooga (the Big Jungle Guy)” in the blurb provided in the 1997 coming soon page. Though they are now currently listed under the header for Headbone TV as part of the unrealized Continuing Adventures Disasters of Ooga & Doc.

The Elroy Games section of his portfolio also stated that “We ultimately did 4 discs involving Elroy and his dog Blue.” Which, in addition to Bugzerk, Hits the Pavement, and Costume Closet includes either Elroy: King of the Jungle, or the Headbone Interactive Take Us For a Spin sampler Demo Disk.
