QiZae. The "fake" god.
The day they woke up and felt sentience, they knew that they weren't "normal". QiZae, being created for the only purpose of having blame put on it, only knew how to act and feel like it had actually made the whole thing happen.
QiZae is something that's hyperactive, autistic as HELL, and silly all mashed together. They cannot be called nor seen as a person. It doesn't see itself as a person, let alone a being.
The name QiZae came from me, who liked the names Qi and Zae. Being the ever so creative person I am, I mashed the words together and called it a name. QiZae likes the name and enjoys it a lot.
When QiZae was manifested, QiZae had knowledge of my life and everything I knew, as they were created from my thoughts. QiZae knows me inside and out; it just forgets or doesn't know how to use that knowledge. (just like me fr)
On the topic of QiZae's autism, that all came from me. It loves to do arm flaps, fidget with its wings and necklace, and make noises with its mouth. They also love listening to my stories and flying around, doing loops in the air.
Much to my dismay, QiZae cannot disappear or go away. It is stuck with me until I find a way to leave limbo. On that note, when I go to a reality, QiZae cannot follow. (WOO) So they have to stay back and wait.
When I discovered that I could manifest things to appear, strangely, I wanted to have a cat appear first. A cat. Not a way out or something for more entertainment, I wanted a cat. (WELL EXCUSE ME FOR LOVING CATS!!) QiZae then pointed out that the cat wouldn't survive either way as there is no litter box, food, or water in limbo. That's when I realized that I don't need to eat, drink, go to the bathroom, or really sleep while I am in limbo. I had an existential crisis after realizing that.
I would describe QiZae as an annoying, loud, and overly hyper thing. QiZae would agree. It is loud, overly hyper, and annoying. It says that it is their best qualities. (Of course it would say that...)
QiZae, despite being a "fake" god, does have some kind of power. It created my journal and my ability to scroll endlessly on Twitter and others. I can only use Twitter and a couple other platforms. (It's a curse.) Despite that, I cannot access the Internet. I see no point in trying that hard to get help with my situation. With the help of QiZae, I started a journal of my adventures. (this account)
QiZae is a little silly and often compares itself to some white bear-looking thing that, strangely, I have no knowledge of. QiZae calls the bear something like "Cucu roach" or something. QiZae refuses to elaborate. (wowww)

Will you still love me when I'm no longer young and beautiful?
You get to live the life Kotoha deserved.
Summary- You and Douma create a bond and he likes you so he decides to keep you. Hes never been able to keep a human he likes for this long. Douma experiences emotions.
Genre- Angst // Fluff
Warning- Implied death
The sun dipped below the horizon, casting hues of pink and orange across the sky, Douma's path crossed with that of a young artist named Y/N. Y/N, with her soulful eyes and creative spirit, was drawn to Douma like a moth to a flame. Unaware of his demonic nature, Y/N found herself falling deeply in love with him.
As days turned into weeks and weeks into months, Douma and Y/N's connection deepened. They shared laughter, dreams, and the beauty of each passing day.
Yet, as the seasons changed, so did the world around them. Douma noticed the subtle signs of aging in Y/N—fine lines etching her face and the strands of silver interwoven in her hair. The realization struck him like a gentle gust of wind, bringing a chill to his immortal heart. He, who had remained unchanged for centuries, was now witnessing the inevitable march of time in the one he loved.
For the first time, fear and sadness gripped Douma as he grappled with the weight of his immortality. The contrast between their destinies became increasingly apparent, like the stark difference between the fading colours of autumn leaves and the everlasting green of a pine tree.
Y/N, oblivious to Douma's internal struggle, continued to paint her visions of love and life. Douma, torn between revealing his secret and shielding Y/N from the pain he foresaw, chose to silently endure the agony of his heart breaking.
One day, as winter's frost settled upon the temple, Douma took Y/N's hands in his, looking deep into her eyes. "You may not have eternity, but I have this moment with you," he whispered, his breath forming a mist in the cold air.
As the years passed, Y/N aged gracefully, leaving Douma to witness the ephemeral beauty of a human life. In the final moments of Y/N's life, she smiled at Douma, surrounded by the memories they had created together. As her hand slipped away, Douma, left alone once again, grieving the passing of a love that had bloomed like a delicate flower, fleeting but infinitely cherished.
And so, Douma continued his eternal journey, carrying the bittersweet tale of a love that transcended time, eternally etched in the depths of his heart and soul.

My entry: A Dream: Reflections on Faith, Redemption, and the Path to Righteousness. - Aressida. 26.3.24
As I journeyed through this dreamscape, I beheld visions that mirrored the contemplations of my waking hours.
Within this surreal realm, my thoughts coalesced into vivid scenes and profound realizations. I witnessed the consequences of our actions, the havoc we had wrought, and the violence that had reverberated through the tapestry of existence.
The weight of these revelations settled upon my heart, reminding me of the intricate balance upon which the world operates.
But amidst the darkest depths of despair, a glimmer of hope began to shine, leading me towards a divine sanctuary of solace. I found myself pulled towards the holy verses, a sacred refuge abundant with wisdom and comfort, offering the path to renewal and redemption.
Their ancient verses, etched upon the pages of time, offered comfort and reassurance to those who sought sanctuary in the presence of the divine.
Embraced by their eternal words, I unearthed the boundless wellspring of divine compassion and mercy. These verses became my refuge, calling upon us to shed the weight of our transgressions and find solace within the embrace of the Almighty, who lovingly extends the path to salvation and forgiveness.
As each day dawned, I humbly approached the divine, baring my imperfections and vulnerabilities with courage. With utmost sincerity, I pleaded for His boundless mercy and forgiveness, my prayer resounding in the depths of my soul. Yet, my deepest yearning extended beyond personal absolution; it ignited a fervent desire for others to embark on this transformative journey, discovering solace and redemption within the limitless embrace of divine grace.
Through the prism of devout prayers, I fervently implored the Lord to cleanse our souls of anything that defied His divine presence.
Within this steadfast conviction, solace became my steadfast companion, guiding me on the path of liberation and righteousness.
I firmly believed that within the boundless benevolence of the divine resided the power and celestial guidance essential to release ourselves from the burdens of our wrongdoings and align our lives with the grand purpose interwoven into the very fabric of our existence.
I know that our protection stemmed not from our own abilities but from the power of the divine. It was in His unwavering promises that we found stability amidst life's tempestuous tribulations. Having faith in His promises, I embraced the profound truth that those who embraced His teachings would be bestowed with everlasting joy and bestowed with the great honor of participating in the divine Kingdom.
In the face of every trial that came my way, I sought solace in prayers buoyed by unwavering faith. In these moments, I recognized the dominion of the Almighty over all aspects of existence. It was this steadfast trust, rooted in His divine plan, that emboldened my spirit and guided me through the labyrinthine corridors of life's ever-changing landscape.
Centered upon my commitment to love the divine wholeheartedly, I embraced a deep empathy and boundless compassion for every living being. It was within these qualities that I discovered reflections of the teachings of Jesus Christ, guiding both my actions and my thoughts.
With immense fervor, I committed myself to spreading the transformative message of love and redemption to all who crossed my path, while earnestly seeking to immerse every aspect of my existence in the awe-inspiring radiance of divine sanctity.
This cunning inclination, distorting virtue to malevolence, led to banishment from the Almighty. It fueled my resolve to live attuned to divine will, upholding integrity in the face of corruption. With steadfast conviction, I believed in the capacity for profound change within each person, yearning for all to unearth their strength and bravely stride the path of righteousness, leaving transgressions behind.
As my dream reached its ethereal crescendo, I offered prayers of gratitude, beseeching the divine for the eternal bestowal of His love and grace.
May His munificence continue to guide us, intertwining our lives with countless blessings as we seek to embody the divine message of love and redemption. Amen.

Beyond Flowers: The Symbolic Language of Wedding Garlands
Tumblr media
In the orchestration of a wedding ceremony, amidst the blooming petals and fragrant blossoms, there exists a silent language—a language woven into the very fabric of wedding garlands.
Beyond their aesthetic charm, these floral circlets speak volumes through a symbolic lexicon that transcends the language of words.
Join us on a journey into the enchanting realm of Beyond Flowers: The Symbolic Language of Wedding Garlands.
Floral Poetry: A Symphony of Symbols
The choice of flowers in wedding garlands is a poetic selection, each bloom contributing to a symphony of symbols.
Roses, often the embodiment of love, convey an everlasting affection. Jasmine, with its delicate purity, symbolizes auspicious beginnings.
Orchids, the epitome of beauty, add a touch of elegance. Together, these blooms compose a floral poem that narrates the couple's love story.
Circle of Infinity: Eternal Unity
The circular shape of wedding garlands speaks to the concept of infinity and eternal unity. As the garlands encircle the necks of the bride and groom, they symbolize a bond that knows no beginning or end.
The act of exchanging these circles becomes a pledge—a commitment to an unbroken connection that will endure through the passage of time.
Colors of Emotion: Expressing Sentiments
The color palette of wedding garlands is a canvas for expressing emotions. White symbolizes purity and innocence, red signifies passion and love, while gold and yellow represent prosperity and vitality.
Each hue becomes a brushstroke in the emotional landscape, allowing the couple to convey sentiments and aspirations through the language of colors.
Fragrance of Promises: Aromas of Commitment
Beyond their visual symbolism, the fragrance of the flowers in wedding garlands carries the promise of commitment.
The sweet scent of jasmine may represent the purity of intentions, while the aromatic roses symbolize the enduring love that the couple pledges to each other.
The exchange of fragrances becomes a sensory affirmation of their vows.
Interwoven Stories: Cultural Heritage
In many cultures, wedding garlands are crafted with specific flowers that hold cultural significance. The choice of blooms often tells a story deeply rooted in tradition.
From the sacredness of lotus flowers in Hindu weddings to the meaningful arrangements in Hawaiian leis, each cultural tradition interweaves a unique narrative into the garlands.
Unity in Diversity: Fusion of Cultural Elements
Modern couples often celebrate their diverse backgrounds by incorporating a fusion of cultural elements into their wedding garlands.
The act becomes a celebration of unity in diversity, with each garland representing not only the individual stories of the bride and groom but also the harmonious blend of their cultural heritages.
Embodied Blessings: Rituals of Exchange
The exchange of wedding garlands is often accompanied by sacred rituals and blessings.
In Indian weddings, the priest may recite mantras, while in other traditions, family members may shower the couple with flower petals.
These rituals imbue the garland exchange with a deeper layer of symbolism, representing the blessings and well-wishes of those present.
Tangled Knots: Symbol of Union
In some cultures, the intertwining of garlands symbolizes the union of two lives. As the couple exchanges garlands, the intricate knots formed by the interwoven flowers become a metaphor for the complexities and joys of married life.
The act underscores the idea that, while entwined, the couple remains distinct individuals within the union.
Photogenic Narratives: Capturing Symbolism in Frames
The symbolism of wedding garlands extends beyond the ceremony itself. Photographs taken during the garland exchange become visual narratives, capturing the essence of the symbolic language.
Each frame tells a story—the clasping of hands, the exchange of gazes, and the encircling of necks—all communicating the profound meanings encapsulated in the garlands.
Legacy in Blooms: Passing Down Traditions
As the couple exchanges wedding garlands, they become custodians of a symbolic legacy.
The act represents not only their commitment to each other but also their role as bearers of cultural traditions.
The hope is that, just as they received the symbolic language of the garlands, they will pass down this legacy to future generations.
Conclusion: The Silent Eloquence of Blooms
In the silent eloquence of wedding garlands, a language unfolds—a language that transcends words and speaks directly to the heart.
Beyond Flowers: The Symbolic Language of Wedding Garlands is an exploration of the intricate meanings woven into the blooms that encircle the union of two souls.
As couples embark on this symbolic journey, they engage in a conversation that surpasses spoken words, a dialogue conducted in the timeless language of flowers.

first draft
We as humans have the rather unfortunate habit of always questioning things. This has often lead us down paths that many say, we were better off avoiding in the first place. As Douglas Adams once put it, “many were increasingly of the opinion that they’d all made a big mistake in coming down from the trees in the first place."
This tendency to question is what sets us apart from all of the other species in the animal kingdom. Dubito ergo cogito, cogito ergo sum; I Doubt, therefore I Think, I Think, therefore I Am. One of the greatest questions plaguing modern and ancient philosophers alike is that of the future of the human race; or more specifically what that future *should* look like, and the steps that we as a race need to make to get there.
My explanation is this:
What do you see when you imagine "history?" It is easy to picture what an apple looks like as it is a solid, familiar object that almost everyone has seen, held, tasted, and even smelled. But when one conceptualizes "history," what image comes to mind? What shape does the idea take in your mind?
History [and therefore time] takes a different shape depending on the observer; for example, I asked my friend what she imagined when she thought of the word "history." Her response was that to her it appeared circular, as she felt that she was trapped in an everlasting loop of events from which she was unable to escape.
As for myself, often view the concept of history as likened to a tapestry; a single long stretch of fabric composed of interwoven strands which flow together to form pictures, images, and even new colours. This analogy still does not quite fit, as it fails to capture the mode of progression from which the strands find their energy.
But first, what does it mean to progress? The dictionary definition of progression (or at least the one that best fits) is "to move forwards or onwards in time or space." Notice how this definition lacks a requirement for there to be a destination. Ergo, it is possible to "progress" outwards through Time without there needing to be a destination.
Now what is "Time?" As human observers, we experience time linearly, which basically just means that I am incapable of going back and undoing and doing something (actions, thoughts, experiences ect.) over again. So, from our perspective, time is merely the progression of events both natural and man-made.
When one applies these definitions to the human experience, you get a philosophy that resembles existentialism. The idea that "there is no one meaning to life" can be quite an intimidating thought to face, but many (including myself) take comfort in the idea that only you have control over your own destiny. In my opinion, this mindset also happens to give more value to one's freedom and independence, as it forces one to examine themselves for what they want in life, as well as what exactly is standing in their way.
This progression away from a central point is key to my understanding of history. For it is the lack of destination that I am interested in, as well as the lack of determinism that comes with it.
But what exactly is it that is progressing?
Lets use the definition of time as the progression of events both natural and man-made. Nature, by definition, cannot act with any will; that luxury is for now reserved for humans. Ergo, it is Humanity that is progressing - this seems rather obvious, as it is only through the interaction with objects other than "the self" that we are able to define ourselves. However it this base interaction is what began our two million year-old journey.
This is the first dialectic - the interweaving of man and nature has forever altered the flow of human history, but most crucially at it's beginning. By nature of course I mean the natural scientific world; the teeming chaos from which life emerged, and "order" balanced. We as independent actors have forever battled against nature, tearing down her trees to shelter ourselves from her harsh rebukes. It was this battle that brought us to our evolved state, and formed the first thread in our pattern. For it was the harsh elements that first drove our ancestors to innovate and survive; using the gift of doubt to reason out the puzzles of the natural world in order to better use it to our advantage.
Like Marx, I believe that history is ruled by contradictions. The interactions between mankind and the natural world described our history far before the tools required to transcribe it were invented. However, like rats in a barn, we humans stuck it out and began banding together into societies to better survive.
It was then when the second dialectic emerged and began to shape human history. This inherent contradiction mirrored the first, in that it was a battle between the rational and the natural. Inside one's own mind, I believe there exists at least three separate "selves."
The Self - Center from which one experiences reality
The Rational - Characterized by the sub-conscious
The Animal - Remnants of a less civilized past
In my opinion, the makeup of human biology can often be analogous to that of a computer. In many modern electronics, one finds hardware working alongside software. In the human body, the hardware would be characterized by the various organ systems, and the software would be the patterns of individual neurons which form the human brain.
In the case of a smartphone, the computational limits are largely set by the density/quality of the hardware, but also rely on the complexity of the software to set the "structure" of those computational algorithms. Seeing that electronic data is merely patterns of electricity which we have designated specific meanings to, the structure of any hardware determines the nature of the software as well.
Think of the human body as very poorly-designed computer. Within our genetic code lie countless genetic remnants from our uncivilized past. This is because the dominant Self does not have full control over the entirety of the body, just as a pilot does not control all of the faculties of an airplane. Our bodies have a built-in autopilot that functions outside of the Self's awareness, and it is from here that I posit spring forth the concepts such as "intuition" and "subconsciousness." I believe these functions occur without intervention from the dominant psyche because they originate from the biological equivalent of hardware; i.e. it exists in a part of the brain that has been inherited from one's animal predecessors.
These unconscious processes cover the remaining two parts of the overall whole, and characterize the dialectic inherent to every human. It is that of the Natural versus the Modern Man, with the Self emerging from and guiding these contradictions.
What makes the Natural Man? What does it mean to be an animal? In my opinion, to be an animal is to use reason for the purpose of one's own survival. Animals, while not so advanced as to be capable of consistent growth, still utilize rationality in their day-to-day lives. However their use of rationality is limited by their inherent lack of awareness of anything "other." For most creatures this definition is limited to themselves, but a few of the more advanced species have learned to expand this definition to include others of their species. However in many cases, time and circumstance has lead to entrenched behaviors between differing species. This is often mistaken for altruistic behavior, but the majority of scientists agree that it is merely another aspect of evolution. In essence, to be an animal means only being capable of using one's rationality for their own survival. This is the baseline, and does not require a very complex noggin to accomplish.
Humans, however, rationalize just about everything. Everything has a reason, everything has a purpose, and this is what sets us apart from the rest of life on Earth. The ability to reason may be inborn, but just like a muscle, one must exercise it in order to use it properly. Our ability to break down and store complex information for later retrieval is part of what helps us grow, but it has also been recognized that the way in which we conceptualize that information affects how it is stored [think the relationship between software and hardware]. This is what allows us to surge beyond the boundaries that nature provided us with; a way to reprogram our minds and resist the biological impulses that may come upon us. This is the power of doubt.
This is the dialectic that has served as the engine of human history since the first struggle against nature: the interplay between the biological impulses and the rational structures one utilizes daily, and the ability to use each to determine our reactions to external stimuli. It is from this that we shape our "Self." It is upon these reactions that we place moral weight, as they are usually the result of conscious deliberation. However even in the courts there are acknowledgements that there are some actions taken in haste without prior judgement. To me this showcases the inherent contradiction of the human mind; the existence of "base" or natural instincts alongside the ability to question why.
Dialectics often have a habit of placing some form of "higher moral value" often in an attempt to compare *good* and *evil.* I however do not believe in such concepts, as I do not believe that there exists any authority high enough to presuppose our moral values for us. Actions cannot hold moral value in and of themselves; the morality of an action stems from the intent behind it.
Just the same, I do not believe that either the Natural or Rational man is inherently good or evil.
From our natural side we are given both joy and anger, fear and pleasure, comfort and anxiety. Even feeling such as hunger and thirst stem from our ancient DNA. Each has it's place, and are often merely ways that the body communicates it's needs to the Self. In less developed species, these impulses rule day-to-day activities unless circumstance calls for their limited reason - this is very much the same in humans, except our own awareness encompasses a much larger portion of our mind and body making it difficult at times to "stay in touch with one's feelings" over the noise of one's own Self.
Our rational mind however is more deeply intertwined with the Self. Whenever one seeks to solve a simple math problem, lets say 2+2, our minds naturally follow the logical computational steps in order to reach the conclusion. It hardly takes any thought at all, and the answer simply enters your awareness. This is the work of your unconscious rational mind accessing the previously ingrained pathways that likely formed in elementary school. If you instead attempted to solve something like (7-24/8*4+6), for most of us it would require slowing down and consciously working through the PEMDAS formula; that is, unless you are someone whose computational structures are so often employed (or perhaps more efficiently employed) that the answer of "1" appears as easily as "4" did the equation before.
Like the Natural man, the Rational self is neither good or evil; this is due to it's fluid and subjective nature dependent on the individual. Rationality can be used for malicious purposes, but in the end it is the intention behind the rationality that matters. So how is it that one is to determine "morality" if there is no "good" or "evil" inherent to mankind?
In this I return to the philosophy of existentialism - it is our duty to make our own morality, as we have the capability to do so. Once "morality" becomes something that can be altered, it opens up room for both great improvements and even greater threats. For we must be careful with this power, as if there exists no inherent "good" or "evil" we must strive towards, the morals that we may create for ourselves run the risk of corruption.
So when we as a species pick our morals, I believe that we should return to the philosophy of our ancient hunter-gatherer ancestors. We must care for the tribe, and keep it's interests as our interests; however this is a tribe that encompasses all who wish to join, barring none for their color or their creed. All must become brothers and sisters in an effort to procure the survival of the tribe, ensuring that all are cared for as "the tribe" does not conceptually exist as apart from the whole of the society.
A society that accepts all and bars none will surely fall to the ruin of those who seek to exploit them. It is my belief, however, that the core of humanity is "good." More accurately, I believe that the vast majority of humankind only wishes what is best for themselves and their friends/family. It is because of this belief that I am confident that should one expand their circle of concern to encompass not just people within their city or nation, but instead to humanity as a whole; it would become much easier to find the love that is required to motivate action towards the greater good.
There also exists those who seek to use others for their own benefit, or even harm them to prove a point or make a statement; however these cases are rare in places where there exists a strong social safety net to protect against the circumstances wherein individuals are pushed to their breaking points. I believe that "true evil" is rare, and exists only as a result of individuals who psychologically/biologically lack empathy. In this case, true reason prevails untempered by empathy and most other emotions, and permits individuals to plan and commit horrific acts without guilt or thought of consequence.
It is this lack of the Natural Man that gives these detrimental individuals such an advantage, and often provides their downfall as well. Our empathy and our rationality work in tandem to navigate the Self through it's existence, each keeping the other in check to best understand the world around us. It is from this relationship that doubt emerges, as fear serves as a powerful motivator in double checking your essay for mistakes before handing it in to the professor. Oppositely, a complete lack of fear would lead to overconfidence in one's work, which often results in mistakes that would otherwise have been easily spotted and fixed.
How are these internal dynamics reflected in the real world? Well, I once heard an old Native American story about two wolves that live inside all of us. One wolf represented all that was good, and one represented all that was evil. According to the story, these wolves fight a seemingly endless battle within us and when asked by a small boy which wolf would win, the answer supplied by the elders was "the one you feed."
My answer to this question is very similar, minus all the stuff about good and evil. Instead, I believe that an individual is defined by the internal "balance" between the two base selves, using information and concepts gained from their external surroundings to build a "Self." This process is gradual, with biological mechanics such as neuroplacticity allowing for continued growth our entire lives.
In the realm of political philosophy, this results in two general types of people - those who wish to rule, and those who wish to be governed.
Those who wish to rule are those whose awareness rarely expands further than their own selfish desires, and when given power use it for their own gains instead of first seeking to consider the whole of society. This is because they use their power as an animal would - hoarded from the rest, using reason only to further the selfish urges that sometimes arise from the accumulation of vast amounts of money and power.
Those who wish to be governed seek not power, but peace of mind. These are the every-day people who simply wish to be able to live out their lives in peace, and so many care little for the goings-on in the world outside their awareness. It is this mass of people that make-up the vast majority of the human species, and the source of the world's greatest revolutions and feats of wonder. This is because while often selfish, an individual's selfishness extends to those who they view as "part of the tribe," allowing the use of reason in pursuit of the benefit of the whole in order to effect the betterment of the individual.
It is the relationship between these two groups of people that has shaped the course of human history. Feudalism had kings and nobles who sought to strip the land bare, and carry away it's resources to be hoarded in castles. This resulted in the agglomeration of both power and population, resulting in technological innovations that made it possible for a larger percentage of the population to become educated and seek liberation.
The resulting colonial era contained both the remnants of the feudal lords, as well as the growing class of capitalists that sought to strip the world bare in the pursuit of industrial growth. Soon enough that growth provided the means for the birth of a "middle class" who fought to even the scales of power through the birth of Constitutional Republicanism.
Finally Marx's concepts of the Proletariat and the Bourgeoisie attempts to encapsulate the dialectic that drives our modern industrialized world, however I feel that he was misguided in placing too much importance on the economic aspects of life. Indeed he is correct when he points out that the global economy rests on the backs of the lowest common denominator, but i feel that he is too deterministic in his view that it is our material factors that separate us into our respective "social classes." In fact I feel that the concept of social classes is heretical to what Marx and Hegel intended; that being a global society wherein socialist ideals of self-management and democratic control reign.
This is due to the tendency towards tribal relationships that I referred to earlier. While there can be no dispute that there exists different "forms" of individuals, I believe that due to the exceptionally subjective nature of the development of our Self there can be no divisions made based solely on economic circumstance or social situation. It is only in one's intentions that one can be discriminated against, and even then only at the basest of levels.
Therefore I submit this one condition of judgement: that when possible, to first keep one's intentions directed towards the fulfillment of the basic needs for all of mankind - and to otherwise seek to better the whole of society through the preservation of the individual.

When we build love for ourselves we are also building community. I feel comfortable saying that I have a lifelong battle ahead of me to master self-love, but sometimes I find it on accident or catch it in glimpses.
In trying to fight for the planet's future, I've felt like my inner spirit was decaying and to go along with it I'd adopted a survival mindset of scarcity, not abundance. This whole last year has made me reflect on how I can extend my love and passion toward myself. How can I sustain my self-love? When Mother Earth feels pain, we feel it too. So how can we build everlasting relationships of love in the work of environmentalism? It depends on the specific individual, but here are some things that have helped me along my journey. 1.) Moving: When we enter outside spaces, whether it be walking, running, sitting, our creative energies are interwoven in the environment that allows us to build stronger relationships with our work. 2.) Investing in sleep: To sleep a total of eight hours is sometimes a privilege. I know some people who have children, in college, or work multiple jobs that sleep is not always guaranteed in this extractive system. 3.) Be intentional in your positionality: Recognize the Indigenous land you are currently residing on, thinking about how we can be better advocates for silenced and exterminated communities. 4.) Normalize different emotions: In no way does love mean perfection. This means that we don't always have bright, happy, and joyful days. We sometimes have days that can be confusing, angry, sad, shy — these are all valid emotions and you can still love yourself. 5.) Circular relationship: Love isn't a one-way-street. It works both ways. Our roles in fighting for a healthier planet and sustaining ourselves mean that we will fight to protect our environment and community. So yes, love yourself in a way that isn't obsessive or forceful, but a compassionate way that ensures you can sustain your wellbeing. -queer brown vegan

The Obey Me Boys as RPG Bosses: Frostheart
CHAPTERS: Prologue + Beelzebub and Belphegor , Asmodeus, Satan, Leviathan, Mammon, Lucifer, ???, ??? (YOU ARE HERE), Endings
You are one of many hunters in a land cursed with everlasting winter. You yourself have become rime-touched after an attack by your fellow corrupted hunter, an incident that left you traumatized and lame. Even your hunter’s guild has resigned you to a life of mere cleaning and upkeep duties, and you have spent the last seven years in the depths of your guild’s archives.
Then the White Witch spirits your little brother away into her castle, taking with her the only family you have ever known. Armed with your trusty hunting knife and bow – and aided by your senior hunter, Simeon – you set off into the rime-cursed lands to find Luke and end the White Witch’s reign once and for all.
**Very loosely based on The Snow Queen by Hans Christian Andersen.
Word Count: 1,560 words
TW: Blood, Violence, Gore
[???]
The ice-carved guard’s halberd strikes hard against your crystalline arm, nearly knocking you to the ground, but the curse of the rime has become much too strong to give way. Your lame leg acts as both a prop and pivot, and you easily knock the halberd out of the guard’s hands with a simple swipe. One kick to render him prone, a swing of his own weapon, and his body shatters against the icy floor. A strange, pale blue ichor pools around his remains. You step over him and head down yet another seemingly endless corridor.
It won’t be long until the frost overwhelms your heart once more. The remnants of sensation that you still possess seem to drift further and further away: you no longer feel the lingering frost on your skin, and the paths carved out by tears on your cheeks have turned into ice. You can feel yourself bound to this realm in body and soul. You pad barefooted amongst the opulence of the White Witch’s castle, searching desperately for anything that might be a throne room. You come across a few more ice-carved guards. While they possess only artificial desires and hearts of frost -- like the soulless doll-maker, you note -- they’ve been allowed to roam long enough for you to justify their shattering. You peer into the snippets of memories with your rime-touched eye, seeing winding halls and paths of hoarfrost. There is the glimpse of a carved throne, a massive, glittering chamber, and a glacial crown. You crush the last guard’s head with your foot.
The heart of the glacial rift calls out to you. You storm the throne room with a stolen halberd, prepared to demand Luke and Simeon’s freedom from this nightmare realm.
But the words never come. You are rendered silent, your mouth sewn shut by some invisible force. A wave of her delicate fingers forces you to kneel, nearly cracking your lame leg in two, and despite the lack of physical contact, you feel her glacial touch trace the side of your jaw. It leaves needles of ice embedded in your skin.
“How nice of you to finally arrive! Your little brother has told me all about you.” Her peals of laughter echo in the massive chamber, and the needles of ice push themselves further into your flesh. “Oh, Luke, why don’t you say hello to your dear sister? I believe you’ve missed her an awful lot.”
You know you should feel nothing but rage towards this frost-ridden abomination. Nothing but cold, bitter resentment. You should have nothing but the desire to shatter this creature to pieces and to crush her heart underfoot. You can discern the depth of her corruption in her reflection: her skin is completely bloodless and spider-webbed with ice, bearing an unnaturally blue pallor. Her eyes, much like yours, are beset with a layer of hoarfrost. Frost-like lashes flutter against carved cheekbones, white locks seem to have bound her to her throne, and rows of sharp teeth make themselves known when she smiles. Fear, revulsion, abhorrence -- you should be steeped in all of that and more.
Yet you do not. Here lies the heart of the glacial rift. In this beautiful embodiment of frozen death lies the source of the corruption, its voice calling out to you.
Oh, and how sweetly it beckons.
Your trance is interrupted by the sight of blond locks and blue eyes. A fine silk tunic, breeches interwoven with silver, and a lavish cloak trimmed with white fur. The porcelain doll regards you with dispassion and -- no, you’re wrong. This is no doll before you. This creature that the White Witch has corrupted can only be --
“Who are you?” Luke asks.
Luke, it’s -- it’s you! It’s his big sister! Tears threaten to spill once more, and you can’t help but smile with a strange sort of relief. Your voice cracks. Why can’t he recognize you? What has been done to him? You call out his name again and again, pleading, but you receive only a disdainful glance.
He turns to the White Witch, frowning. “Can I go back now?”
“Oh, of course, my dear.” She presses a kiss to his temple and ruffles his hair before sending him off. “Now, where were we?”
You demand to know what she has done to him. She was human once before. How could she find it in her heart to be so cruel? She may have betrayed her brothers for the corruption, but surely --
Her fingers dig into her throne, slightly cracking it. “Betrayed? You think I betrayed them?”
There’s no other word for it. You had inadvertently peered into Lucifer’s heart when you had slain him, and the fleeting memories had branded themselves into your mind. There was another White Witch when they had journeyed to the heart of the rift. A weaker one, yes, but a White Witch all the same. A White Witch could only live without devouring a heart for so long. Lucifer could only remember the taste of blood in his mouth, the tears spilled upon him by his sister, and the loving, gentle caress of death. He had bid her to slay the White Witch for him -- for all of them, as the rest had fallen to the dangers of the glacial rift. Belphegor, Beelzebub, Asmodeus, Satan, Leviathan, and Mammon had long perished. And then Lucifer could only remember the absence of his sword, Lilith drawing it away, and what remained of his consciousness slipped away.
You know her. You know what she’s done. You know her name.
“Oh? And what is my name, then?”
Lilith. Her name is Lilith.
Her mouth quirks into a mirthless smile. “Well, you certainly aren’t as stupid as you look,” she remarks, sighing. “I called by that name once, yes.”
Then that means she understands the pain of loss. How could she ever want to inflict that pain on anybody else? Why did she spirit away Luke into her realm?
“You act as if he didn’t come of his own accord. I can assure you that he very much did. I never wanted him in the first place, really.”
She’s lying. As the White Witch, she must devour a heart.
“Perhaps Lucifer’s memories weren’t clear enough for you, then. I believe he perished before I did.” The White Witch rests her chin in her hands, as if preparing to discuss the details of some tedious affair. “A heart of frost is not created by simply corrupting a creature with the curse. Oh, believe me, I’ve tried. A heart of frost belongs to one who is both pure and corrupted. One who has suffered unfathomable amounts of pain -- and has yet to submit to the curse. One who freely gives it. That, my dear, is a heart of frost. Anything else is a mere mockery.”
The realization dawns on you.
“You were quite adorable, really. All that screaming and throwing rocks -- well, I suppose it was only a distraction,” she says, “but that’s beside the point. Such selflessness in adolescence is quite rare. All these years, and you haven’t changed one bit.”
If you hadn’t acted as quick as you had on that fateful day, you’re sure that Luke would have been the one torn apart by the creature. The creature that was once Agathe had given you no mercy. The thirteen year old Luke would have had an even lesser chance of survival.
“Imagine a life without pain. A life without heartache, without suffering. A fulfilled wish is a wish fulfilled. Gowns sewn from the finest silk, silver crowns beset with jewels, beds stuffed with the softest down -- oh, my dear, you’ll never want for anything here. I can give you all of this and more, if you so choose.” Her expression almost becomes gentle, her face becoming even more beautiful than before. The heart of the glacial rift sings from within her, and you crave its embrace. “All I ask in return is your heart.”
The great doors creak open behind you, followed by the sound of sabatons against ice. You turn around out of instinct. It takes you one moment to realize that the witch has released you from her spell. It takes you another moment to realize just who has walked in behind you.
The White Witch claps her hands in delight. “Oh, how wonderful! Another guest is here for you, my sweet.”
It is said that the rime draws beasts out of the hearts of men. You had believed you had seen everything that there was to be seen when it came to corruption of wishes and sins, and you had believed that the rime could not possibly warp an innocent and pure intent. Belphegor and his sloth had turned him into a nearly dormant golem. Beelzebub and his gluttony had turned him into one with an insatiable appetite. Asmodeus and his lust had changed him into a dryad capable of only seeking pleasure and beauty. Satan and his wrath had transformed him into a dire wolf capable of pure destruction. Leviathan and his envy had metamorphosed him into a sea serpent. Mammon and his greed had changed him into a crow-beast obsessed with value. Lucifer and his pride had led to him becoming an ageless, imprisoned shadow of himself.
For Simeon, it was love.
[Give her your heart.]
[Refuse.]
Tip: [The White Witch] will not take refusal kindly. Make a wise choice.

Album Review: Ghostpoet
Tumblr media
Artist:  Ghostpoet
Title:  I Grow Tired But Dare Not Fall Asleep
Record Label: PIAS
Release Date: 1st May 2020
Rating: 7.0/10
The timing is rather serendipitous for the release of Ghostpoet’s latest record ‘I Grow Tired But Dare Not Fall Asleep’; it’s due to drop this Friday, during a global pandemic and as we type away at our keyboard it’s raining for the first time in weeks. The vista of grey as we write adds a pertinent backdrop to Obaro Ejimiwe’s latest LP; this is an album that’s enveloped by a perpetual gloom as our protagonist takes us on a journey through the darkest recesses of his mind. We’re confronted by themes of depression, anxiety, a barbed distain for modernity and an overwhelming melancholy.
youtube
Clearly this record was written well before COVID-19 plunged the world into panic and widespread lockdown but the claustrophobic tones and sense of fear found within Ghostpoet’s fifth LP strangely fit the mood of worry and uncertainty. ‘I Grow Tired But Dare Not Fall Asleep’ lives in an everlasting darkness, as if Ejimiwe has ushered you into his living room in the earlier hours, so he can spill his guts to a trusted confidant. The deep, moody fug of ‘Breaking Cover’ plunges you straight into Ghostpoet’s fragile inner-sanctum, as jazzy/post-punk textures waft and fragment before a static twitch of guitar crackles like a swarm of malfunctioning robot wasps. “It’s too much noise/I can’t turn it off/panic attacks/I need a break”, slurs Ejimiwe’s in his trademark half-rapped, half-sung vocals, as he holds a magnifying glass up to the album’s overall aesthetic. Paranoia runs amok through ‘Black Dog Got Silver Eyes’; a near nothingness is played out across fragments of beats, ambient hums and distorted background chatter. “Take me away from the clutches that wish me harm” purrs the London artist, while the heightened state of fear manifests on ‘This Trainwreck of a Life’, where downbeat jazz is interwoven with a piano refrain and smoky strings. Ejimiwe turns his scorn to those looking for solace in religion “just woeful sinners looking for hope in the good book”, while before, he’ll state “Armageddon is on the doormat/I still hate you.” ‘Concrete Pony’ and album closer ‘Social Lacerations’ take on the subject of wanton narcissism, with the latter taking aim at the ‘me’ generation “selfie away/make sure you use all the filters” and the former’s gradual plod, combined with a slow-mo siren noise, paints the image of hollow digital gratification while having the green eyes of envy “why ain’t my jacket like yours/oh yeah oh yeah/desperate I’m needing applause/oh yeah oh yeah/how can I measure my life/ oh yeah oh yeah/emails and digital likes/oh yeah oh yeah.” ‘Humana Second Hand’s sawing guitars and menacing air delivers the most blatant declaration of struggles with mental health “once again/the happy pills/aren’t doing shit/so what becomes of me.” Like the rest of the album, there’s a sense of despair and helplessness that lurks around every corner.
Stark and bruised ‘I Grow Tired But Dare Not Fall Asleep’ cuts a dejected figure, a body of work that’s been ground down by society and that hope seems to be nothing but a faint flicker on the horizon.

Hiyo. The original Hiyo.
I have to endure countless cycles of life for no reason. Who knows why it started? Who knows why i was chosen?
I hate it. Some people may be like, "Oh, it must be a blessing to be able to experience and explore different realities! It must be fun!" But it's not. At the beginning, it was. But after doing it for a long period of time, it becomes draining and really strains your mental health. Trust me on this.
Imagine living a horrible life, dying, and then finding out that you have to live with the trauma in the next reality. Eventually, the built-up trauma gets to you. And you are bound to go batshit insane.
Sometimes, I let all the hurt and trauma out in one reality and calms down in the next. It may stink for the people in that reality, but I really don't care. I'm going to die anyway and be in a different reality; why would it matter?
Due to having no one to blame for my misfortune, I created my own "god" to put all the blame on. The god's name is "QiZae". And yes, the Z is meant to be capitalized. QiZae is neither good nor bad. They may be crazy—goofy even—but really, all they are there for is to watch me. And QiZae knows. It knows that they aren't technically real. I created it and manifested its existence through my own imagination. Sometimes, QiZae reminds me of that.
I have my "travel" journal as well, which stays with me when I go to different realities. I use it to document my lives and thoughts. As it is a "magical" item, the pages never run out.
To return to limbo or to another reality, I must die. (yahoo!) By stabbing, drowning, electrocution, or other means, it doesn't matter. But it must be by someone other than myself. The only lingering question left that I have is: if I commit suicide, will I still go to another reality or limbo, or will I fully and finally die? Will I return to my original reality, or will I just fully die? I really don't want to find out, but at the same time, I do.
All this time and after all these years, I still feel young. I started this whole cycle at the age of 14, and technically I should be several thousand years old, but I only really feel like I am around 15–16.
Despite being able to interact and have friends in the realities, I am truly alone. QiZae isn't real; limbo is vacant, and the friends I make in realities, I have to say goodbye eventually.
I dwell in limbo alone. And I will never get any answers. The questions I have inside of myself will remain unanswered. The lingering doubt and uncertainty are forever within. Even if I wake up and goes back home, I will never be the same again. I love questioning my existence. It will happen again.

Relax in His everlasting arms. Your weakness is an opportunity to grow strong in awareness of His Almighty Presence. When your energy fails you, do not look inward and lament the lack you find there. Look to Him and His sufficiency; rejoice in His radiant riches that are abundantly available to help you.
Go gently through this day, leaning on Him and enjoying His Presence. Thank Him for your neediness, which is building trust-bonds between you. If you look back on your journey thus far, you can see that days of extreme weakness have been some of your most precious times. Memories of these days are richly interwoven with golden strands of His intimate Presence.
"The eternal God is your refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms. He will drive out your enemy before you, shall say, Destroy them." - Deuteronomy 33:27 "I am still confident of this: I will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord." - Psalm 27:13–14

Omni Reign Review
Omni Reign by Aeon Mosbach is a science fiction novel set in the future on Earth. After a climate event long before the story sets in, an everlasting layer of clouds covers the planet with continuous tropic rainfalls. Humanity has retreated to a metropolis and handed government over to a near-omniscient artificial intelligence named “Omni,” which manages a zero-waste society and caters to its human population with an armada of autonomous smart machines. To understand its people’s needs, Omni reads out human emotions, which it computes into a continuous stream of votes about everyone and everything. Through these votes, humans interact not only with each other but also with smart machines. Because everything is fully automated, there is no need to work for a salary in the traditional sense. Omni provides everything. Still, people occupy themselves with tasks that earn them “upvotes” from their peers in order to get access to premium amenities like a suite in a tower that pierces the layer of eternal clouds, where the elite (the most upvoted citizens) can enjoy the only real sunshine on Earth. The main protagonist, Mark Helt, “occupies” himself by providing medical services to his clients. He designs their physiognomies, sets up the instructions for robotic surgeons, and manages nutritional health plans in return for upvotes on a job well done. However, as Omni Reign’s inciting incident, Mark’s robo-surgeon kills his client. Reacting to Mark’s failure, everyone downvotes him and sends him on a trajectory to be voted out of society, which means he is to be locked away in a facility where he is “allowed to live” in an artificially induced dream state that prevents him from harming anyone. To save his client’s life and avoid his punishment, Mark ignores commonsense medical practice and hacks together a solution — which sparks the interest not only of Earth’s most powerful individuals but also of a group of rebels, who are on a mission to change the way humans interact with Omni. Their mysterious leader, Kéo Juniper, can bypass the system of votes and interact with smart machines through a “trance state.” She sets out to seduce Mark to join her on a quest of manipulation and innovation to secure the future of humanity. I really enjoyed Omni Reign’s dense futuristic setting. It feels like advances in AI, biology, medicine, virtual reality, and material sciences happened in parallel with sociological changes. Everything is deeply interwoven, asking what it means to be an individual if you connect with everyone. Aeon Mosbach’s language is not free of quirks, which could exhaust some readers. You need to be okay with reading terms like “ambiance field, sma-ma, v-dream, vue, RE-complete.” But what was it like to read Snowcrash for the first time when it coined the term “metaverse?” Anyway, for me, the occasional disorientation added to the sense of wonder as the characters stumble through the plot, never sure what happens to them next. And, although the novel ticks many sci-fi fan-favorite tropes, be prepared for some serious story-telling-convention breaking: it might not be for you if you’re looking to read yet another classic hero journey. But that lack of fluff and the resulting ambiguity is just what I need. Omni Reign is a dense novel of about 85k words featuring a diverse cast. However, diversity is not a theme of the story. It is simply a logical consequence of its setting — which is really refreshing. I wholeheartedly recommend Omni Reign to anyone interested in a glimpse into a fantastic but potentially possible future.

Why
There are moments in an individual’s life when it becomes imperative to reflect on the milestones that have developed our conscious selves into the perceptive reflection we have come to accept or deny. Understanding that turmoil and triumph are two very important and equally vital indicators of progression or regression within an individual’s journey is the basis from which the concept of understanding begins. Fair and honest observance of the nature and nurture provided to our self and others activates a dialectical thought process most necessary in a mindful authentic realism of this, our human condition. We as human beings yearn to seek the truth found within our creation; validating wholly that that was, is, and shall endure whilst breathing authentic life into our uniquely mysterious journeys. Being cognisant of these realities will help in the guidance necessary to assist individuals toward understanding and accepting personal authenticities found within their true selves.  Finding yourself present amongst life is certainly by no means an easy feat, this all-encompassing act of self-love and survival, evokes a most necessary justice. Self-awareness prevails by allowing hardship, happiness, pain and prosperity to permeate within life’s awkwardly splendid acts of self-discovery, autonomous thought and the vagaries that surround intrusive indifferences.
If as individuals we choose to find harmony within ourselves whilst surrounded by the conspiracy of universal instruction; the providence provided is an encouragement of undeniable proportions. It forms a guide to a deeper understanding of our purpose. By accepting this development of fluidity, intuitions honour finds individually distinctive and constructive worth among the exquisite tapestry of tangible intents. Whether within the depths or shallows of life and its ambiguities, constructive intent can sustain any and all willing to receive manifestations essential for change.
Understanding that life offers strength and bounty to all open to is enchantments is essential. To breathe is to be open to constructive intent. Belief is an amazement of wonder that by default is gifted to all that open their hearts and minds to possibilities found within the self-sustaining act of breathing. As breath sustains life, life sustains autonomy over intent. Honest intent is the catalyst; the fulcrum that creates a bond and balance between breathing and believing. Imagine a glass; is yours half empty or is it half full? Are you grateful just to have the glass? Could you find the will to share yours with another’s that is broken? When you discover your authentic calling, ready will you be to fill and perhaps even help in repairing another’s; because now your glass overflows. Allow others to quench their desire to drink from that, that overflows from your journey of truth. Unique compassion and charity of the heart asks only to be accepted when shared. So, when you are ready, your glass that was once half empty or half full, or perhaps even waiting to be filled by another’s, finds its purpose. Know now that your constructive actions, your helpful intent; your strength, is now found. Sharing your glass and its bounty becomes second nature, because you chose to breathe and believe in its contents.
Remember always that sufferance is the shadow birthed from light. This forebearer of intuition follows us always, seen or unseen. Understanding the light that surrounds your being, that casts this mirrored duality of consciousness, is a constant reminder of your journey; an image of self that if explored mindfully, defines progression. Allow this beauty of darkness to highlight all that is good within yourself. Have faith that hardships were sent to strengthen resolve, to motivate change, and to create true possibility.
Be present in your journey; ever mindful of change. Resist not that that challenges reflection on direction. Fluidity of acceptance, evolves and elevates an individual’s perspicacity; this new acquired perception has now become the mother of your intentions. Seek that, that is true and most righteous; for within this construct, the development of hope and courage prevails. Its foundations fortify your beliefs and become the temple from which your beliefs breathe.
Love in all its fortunes and frailties is a gift. To find love within yourself is an ultimate test of will, and perseverance. Love is no fool, yet it has the capacities to make a fool of those that confuse this majesty, allowing ego to prescribe this amazement is fool’s gold at best. Though it may shine for a period its depth and fortitude is superseded by the inadequacy that concocted its false splendour. True authentic love however is unconditional, and though you may have been drawn to its counterfeit, understand that this conspiracy of the heart was needed to find appreciation in exactly what love involves.
Self-filled, selfless actions promote loves growth; to become self-filled is a most honest and sagacious intent that honours those with the will and patience to open their hearts and minds to its possibilities. Always remember the glass, it is your determination of honest commitment and integrity-based values, that when combined with the elements of truth and justice for all, forge, create, and solidify such evolutionary and life changing finery.
Forgiveness is a vital necessity in creating a pathway to love. To be able to forgive yourself and others for their own personal evolution has such power and influence in your progression toward the mindful totality of self. This awareness conducts a symphony of self-fulfilment that when witnessed promotes happiness testified; allows sadness to be validated and offers new beginnings to those who have strayed from their own personal authenticity. The scope of compassion that prevails in the act of forgiveness has the capacity to release and revitalise hope in the belief of constructive change. Such self-affirming awareness fortifies the foundations of your essential faith. It fills your glass.
Courage is a testament to intent amidst confusion, fear, and acceptance of individuality. Courage is the willingness to learn from mistakes and misfortune. Courage is a self-loving quietness that echoes among the aether, signalling to the universe your intent toward positive evolution. Courage is the resistance to destructive ideologies, whether found within or externally. Courage gives voice to the inadequacies within the face of destruction and stands in its wake without faulter. To remain true to your constructive intent has the power to evoke personal and collective strengths toward the betterment of individual, or collective ideological, spiritual, and evolutionary perspectives. Courage allows perspective to shine on what is right. In courage we can find applications that induce change; for it is when we know better that it is most courageous to in deed do better.
Happiness is a pre-ordained destination of the heart. An imprint within all of humankind; its authentic manifestations rise to the surface of consciousness when we discover appreciation in the journey of self-awareness; not only that of our own journey but the journey of others inclusively. Happiness is solidified once acceptance of individualism is observed, validated and maintained. Happiness is the light of pure intent, its luminescence casts the shadow from which we observe and disseminate destructive intent and behaviours. It is within these observations that appreciations of constructive intent encourage a most potent expression of love. This gauge of happiness and self-fulfilment stands in stark contrast to its opposing force, that of doubt and insecurity. It’s propensity to elevate states of consciousness brings a journey full circle. We must always remember life is by design, complex. There are many circles formed within one’s journey; like links in a chain the more circles we complete and allow to perpetuate for the better, once linked to that that preceded, the stronger the chain becomes.
Embrace life in all its complexities, appreciate all manner of emotions, look to yesterday in observance of where you stand today. Allow today to be the compass to guide your life toward a constructive tomorrow. Be grateful of the opportunities good, bad or indifferent that have led, and are leading you toward that that you desire most. Be kind, kind to yourself and kind to others. Remember the glass, share what you have learnt and be open to accepting new perspectives from others with similar or perhaps foreign, but always mindful and constructive intents. Learn, teach, observe and reflect; find the time, for if indeed you don’t, be sure that the time will find you. Be present, be prepared; be ready. Appreciate that within patience you will never be left waiting. Understand you are as important as the important people that intertwine within your journey. Grow in the knowledge that your own importance has too been interwoven into the lives and journeys of others also. Embrace the circles. May your imprint be as everlasting and perpetual in breath, belief and wonder.
In life there are misfortunes, triumphs, and moments of doubt; inclusive of indescribable times of joy and elation. There are times of loss, grief and unfair realities. From all, lessons are to be learnt, valued and passed down to those we love dearly. Validation and appreciation is garnered in offering these gifts to a stranger in the street in need of comfort, to friends, to family, and also to those in opposition of ourselves and values. Finding value in the journey of self and of others is a testament of mindful all-inclusive intent. To bear witness to all expressions, motivations and irritations binds the human condition. This is the circle of life; diversity found among the brothers and sisters of the world are the reasons to sustain a mindful, faith-filled, compassionate and inclusive life for all drawn to its remarkable enchantments. Belief in human kindness is the key, just breathe and you will unlock its endless possibilities. Always remember to breathe and believe. Understand this legacy and as sure as the sun rises and sets know that an end surely becomes yet another glorious and bountiful beginning. This is my truth.

September 27
If you look back on your journey thus far, you can see that days of extreme weakness have been some of your most precious times. Memories of these days are richly interwoven with golden strands of My intimate Presence. This passage is so true. I remember crying out to God during the time of the abusive relationship that I was in. Then there were times I was angry at God for allowing this experience to happen. But then after it all happened, the rebuilding process that God brought me through were also life changing times where I really did feel His intimate presence surrounding me in what felt like maybe some of my lowest lows. Now I feel like I can truly relax in His everlasting arms. As long as I never find myself in a situation like that again. ha. Knowing how He has delivered me in the past allows me to trust that He will be able to bring me through whatever the future holds.

The Seductress
Chapter 3
If there was one thing Daenerys Targaryen vowed never to do again, it would be to sail on a ship. The Sea Dragon had finally docked and though it had only been a week, it had felt like a lifetime aboard that ship. To say she had sea sickness would be an understatement. What made it worse was how lonely she’d felt. Although she was used to caring for herself, her mother and father both long gone, not once had she ever been alone. Despite whom Viserys had become (a bitter, angry man) he never once left her behind. And for that she was grateful. But now, standing in a foreign land without her brother beside her, Daenerys had never felt so alone.
If I look back, I am lost
And it was true. Essos is her past, Westeros is her future. Jon Snow is my future, or at least his bed is. She knew she should be more concerned about this mysterious King than she currently was as she had only ever been with two men before. One was a Dothraki Warlord, the other a skilled sell sword. Both had been political moves on her brother’s behalf and although she gained experience there wasn’t much seduction needed. They were driven by lust, like starved wolves hungry for their next meal.
How hard could it be to seduce a fat old King? Daenerys knew she was desirable; she was reminded of it every day by the looks people gave her as she walked down the streets. As if she were a goddess from a different world or her touch could heal the sick. Her long silver hair cascaded down her back like a waterfall, smaller pieces braided and pinned at the crown of her head. Her skin was pale but smooth and silky as moonlight. But it was her eyes that people were taken aback by most – a deep amethyst colour. Unique. Mesmerising. She hoped she would seem as desirable in Westeros as she did in Essos. For once in her life she needed to use her beauty to her advantage.
“Daenerys?” a male voice caught her attention. She turned to find a young man, not much older than her looking straight at her. He was handsome, with dusty blonde hair and smooth skin. Dressed nicely too. He practically radiated wealth. “My name is Loras Tyrell, I’ve been sent to escort you to the Red Keep, where you will be residing with my family during your stay” he greeted her with a warm smile. She nodded, forcing a small smile of her own. “Thank you, I am sincerely grateful”. The Tyrell family, one of the most powerful and wealthiest families in Westeros, Lords Paramount of the Reach and Wardens of the South. And her gracious hosts for the next few months. She had Illyrio Mopatis to thank you these fortunate arrangements. He was the only man who truly knew her and her brother’s identity’s and so willingly aided them in times of need. Not of course without something in return, that being they reward him once reclaiming the throne.
The journey throughout Kings Landing was slow and uncomfortable but made easier due to her conversations with Loras. He was a kind man who clearly loved his sister by the way he spoke of her, assuring Daenerys they would get on without a doubt. The capitol was crowded, the stench unbearable and the noise much too loud for her liking but the Red Keep stood tall in the background, a constant reminder to why she was here.
My family lived here.
They will live here again, I swear it.
“Here we are” Loras announced and here they were indeed. As she climbed out the carriage, she was overwhelmed by the sheer sight of the Red Keep. Its unique red brick, bright and glowing a deep crimson as if coated in blood. Theoretically that last part was true, but she pushed it as far from thought as possible. She wasn’t here to mourn a life she never knew; she was here to reclaim the one that was stolen from her, the one that could’ve been. And with that sentiment in mind she began ascending the long, scaling steps that led to the Red Keep.
When they reached the top, she was surprised to have a set of arms thrown around her and a body hugging her tight. Once coming to her senses, she realised it was a young woman, and once the woman pulled back, she was even more surprised to see how beautiful she was. She looked around similar age, perhaps a few years older but her skin was as smooth as a new-born’s backside, not a wrinkle or crease in sight. She was of lithe form, with all the desirous assets, her blue silk dress hugging each curve and accentuating every one of those assets. Daenerys knew her own hair was unique and although this woman had only brown hair, it was styled in a way Dany had never seen, the braids so intricate all weaving throughout the up do.
“It is such a pleasure to finally meet you!” the woman’s beaming smile could have stretched all the way to Essos it was so full and sincere. “My name is Margaery Tyrell, I see you’ve already met my brother, Loras” she said pulling Loras to her side. “Give her some space sister, she’s travelled far” Loras replied with very little command and a smile gracing his lips. She figured it was her turn to say something, so she plastered on a smile and stuck out her hand “Daenerys, Daenerys Mopatis, I’m a cousin of Illyrio, thank you for hosting me”. Any more lies to add to that sentence.
Margery just batted a hand in front of her face “Oh, enough with the formalities, if we are to live together, we are to treat each other as sisters.” she said while looping her arm through Dany’s and directing her into the Red Keep. “Tell me sister, I’ve never heard your name before but its most certainly beautiful”. Names were dangerous territory, especially considering her family were notorious for names such as hers. “Just call me Dany, most of my family do” What family? “Do you reside here permanently then?” she was attempting to change the subject. Margaery scoffed at that “No, certainly not, only when court is in full swing. It’s fun for a time but nothing beats our home back in Highgarden. It’s so beautiful there, like an everlasting spring. I must bring you sometime you would just adore it!”.
They walked through golden corridors, up embellished staircases, surrounded by the highest ceilings and lavish embellishments. Dany had seen beauty and wealth in Essos, but this was different. It felt more comfortable, strangely enough more like a home. There were warm tones and smiling people, the gardens were blooming and there was no darkness. She felt less like a duck out of water and it was a foreign feeling she’d never experienced. It must have been obvious how taken aback she was as Margaery stopped walking, looking up alongside Daenerys. “He’s done a good job in reviving this place. I would have thought it an impossible task after the darkness it’s lived through” Dany turned to look at Margery’s then “Who?” her question must have surprised Margery as her expression turned to one of confusion. “King Jon of course, who else? He’s a good king, a good man at that.”
Dany nodded slowly, trying to act less confused. She took Margaery’s arm and they set off walking again. They eventually reached the apartments which were as grand as expected but still light and airy, littered with flowers and plants. Once Dany’s bags were delivered to her room, she walked towards the balcony, twisted the handle and flung the door open, breathing in what seemed like the only fresh air she’d had in days. Her room overlooked Blackwater bay, which was glowing at this time of day, the sun kissing the horizon goodnight, illuminating the bay in golden hues of amber and yellow. Even the sun seemed different across the narrow sea. It was exciting and terrifying both at the same time. Amongst all this beauty, Dany felt a pang in her chest as a wave of grief hit her at full force, all her fears and losses pulling her down. No. She clutched the railing harder. I will not be defeated. I am stronger than this. She steeled her face into a calm expression and took a deep breath. I am a dragon. Self-pity was a dangerous ocean, one capable of drowning even the mightiest of creatures.
It was a high-pitched squeal followed by Margaery’s voice that dragged her from the pit of despair. “Dany you must come here!”. She strolled of the balcony and into Margaery’s room opposite to see two dresses splayed on the bed, Margaery’s gazing at them like she was a starved man who’d been presented with a feast. “Aren’t they just dazzling?” her eyes not moving from the dresses. Dany supposed they were quite lovely, very simple yet elegant. the bodice was ribbed and plain white with a gold lace trim lining the top of it; the skirts were also white but had traces of gold interwoven into the gauzy material. There were no sleeves which was quite unusual for a Westerosi court but what was most unusual was the white lace material that was scrunched together to form a sort of neck scarf lying separately next to the dress. “Surely you can’t wear this to court?” She asked, furrowing her eyebrows. Margaery turned to her then and laughed, “It’s a costume silly, for the banquet of course. Some of the ladies take part in the annual swan dance and you my friend will be joining us this year.” Swan dance? “What is that?” Margaery picked up the dress and walked over to the mirror with it “It’s an annual banquet we celebrate, like giving thanks to the gods and all that. Of course, that’s not the best part though, the dancing and the young men is what draws my attention to it” she waggled her eyebrows suggestively. “Will the King be there?” really subtle Daenerys. It slipped out of her mouth before she even knew what she was doing. Margaery didn’t seem to notice though “Oh of course, the monarch is always present, they join in the dance from time to time although I don’t know how our current king will do at that. Those northerners have no grace or elegance whatsoever!”
Fortunately for Dany she knew how to dance, growing up in Essos without learning to dance was near impossible. Between the wealthy merchants and common people, she met growing up, she was constantly surrounded by different dances. Seduction was its own type of dance, she learnt that during her time with the Dothraki. If the king was dancing, perhaps taking part in this celebration would benefit her, perhaps she could even dance her way into his bed or even his heart.
Is this what you want? To be a pawn is their game?
It doesn’t matter what she wants, it never does. Duty is duty and she must obey hers. “So, will you do it then?” Margaery asked. And without hesitation Dany responded. “Yes, yes I’d love to”
Let the games begin.
