...WHAT ARE SHORTCUTS?
for those unaware: the pre-installed Shortcuts app on iOS/macOS/iPadOS can potentially be a life-changing application in regards to digital productivity.
it's utilized as a hub for your collection of shortcuts and automations. shortcuts allow for just a single click—which many times is conveniently incorporated onto your "share" sheet option panel—to execute one or multiple actions; automations are chosen commands that run at specific/relative times of day without prompt.
people tend to overlook the Shortcuts app due to its available "gallery" of shortcuts being rather limited... with the only other option provided being to build these desired actions yourself, which requires the skill of digital coding. however! that's where RoutineHub comes in: it's a website allowing users to share their own complex shortcuts, free of charge, and has a large selection to choose from.

Yowch. Apparently Apple is not only forcing Patreon creators to give them a 30% cut from subscriptions made with the iOS app, but they’re also delaying payout up to 75 days… Who would’ve guessed Apple, themself, would become the number one advertiser for Android, these days.

Surely Io has a kitchen at their own..... Nest. Domicile. Den. Hidey-hole.
Does Val not fear what Io gets up to in their kitchen when they're not there to supervise? Or have they quietly sabotaged all the appliances and replaced the knives with pictures of knives so that they can sleep undisturbed that Io can't make anything more than a charcuterie out of pilfered communion wafers and raw pigeon meat?
I was picturing some kind of small kitchenette, not much more than a hot plate and a sink. I think Io does more eating out and Depression Meals™ than anything else
val's not so much worried about Io's safety as they are protective over their own kitchen lol

Friendly reminder that the iPhone is turning 18 years old in two months and iOS 1.0 looked like this.
We've come a long way.

I started this blog to explore and know more about mobile apps . Currently I’m overloaded with 243 mobile apps on my phone .
So I just started this mobile app exploration journey to learn about function and ease of using the mobile apps whether it could serve the needs or time delete them for good.
I also realise it would be good way to connect with like minded respective mobile app users to know more from their experience, knowledge and tips sharing for better usage of the apps in a long run.
This mobile app exploration journey could be dry and boring but with like minded interactions, I am sure it will get interesting to the purpose.
Thanks folks for reading up this dry post 😄

Just in time for fascism, Apple has introduced a new feature into iOS which makes it exponentially more difficult for law enforcement to crack confiscated iPhones.
Basically, starting in iOS 18.1, if an iPhone hasn’t been unlocked in a while, it will automatically reboot. Why is this a big deal? Because it resets your login token.
Basically, upon first boot, iPhones are in a “Before First Unlock” mode, or “BFU” mode. After you punch in your passcode, they go into “After First Unlock” mode (or “AFU” mode).
In BFU mode, iPhone are significantly more difficult to brute force into. Basically, the iPhone’s storage and system are totally encrypted and inaccessible until AFU mode is activated. In addition, Apple disables access to a lot of items such as camera, Siri, and notifications which can be used to bypass the password screen. The data which can be given and received from the device’s port is also severely limited. BFU mode also completely disables Touch and Face ID. If you have your phone set to Custom Numeric or Custom Alphabetic, that makes it infinitely more difficult to get into your phone via passcode brute forcing.
So anyway, if your iPhone supports iOS 18.1, I’d recommend updating ASAP. Y’know… for… security update reasons. 👀

What are the unique challenges faced in developing iOS apps?
iOS App Development Services
Tumblr media
iOS App Development is also known and considered for its sleek interface, strong security, and loyal user base and stand. However, building and crafting the apps for Apple devices isn't without its hurdles or obstacles. As the developers often face and seek unique challenges that differ and outlast from other platforms like Android. These challenges and obstacles can affect down the timelines, budgets, and overall user experience and matches if not managed carefully or sought in for.
Strict App Store Guidelines:
One of the most common challenges and occurrences in iOS App Development is meeting Apple's strict App Store policies and standard guidelines. As the review process is more rigorous and stiff sometimes than the most common platforms, apps can get rejected for minor issues—ranging from UI design to privacy violations. Developers must thoroughly review Apple's Human Interface Guidelines and follow best practices to avoid delays or rejections.
Limited Customization Options:
Apple has a highly controlled ecosystem. While this assures up the consistency and overall performance is maintained and is stuck with it, as it limits up the developers' ability to customize their user interfaces or access the set of certain hardware functionalities. This means more time and efficiency is intended to be spent finding creative workarounds to deliver unique features within the platform's constraints.
Device and OS Compatibility:
Though Apple has fewer devices than Android, iOS App Development must still account for different screen sizes, resolutions, and operating system versions. Supporting older iOS versions can be tricky, as Apple users adopt new versions quickly, but some still rely on older devices.
Frequent OS Updates:
Apple regularly updates iOS, which can introduce new features and deprecate existing ones. Developers need to stay current and adapt their apps quickly. Failing and not opting to do so can and may lead towards compatibility issues or the app crashes, impacting the overall user satisfaction and their experience which helps to build a smooth appearance to the users.
Security and Data Privacy Compliance:
Apple places high emphasis on user privacy and app security and safeguarding their thoughts and processes. Apps must comply with requirements like App Tracking Transparency (ATT) data encryption standards and commonly specified parameters. Assuring these compliances and sticked with added extra layers of testing and development work into it. While iOS App Development offers and assists with great rewards, it demands precision, flexibility, and constant adaptation. Companies like Suma Soft, IBM, Cyntexa, and Cignex bring the expertise to navigate these challenges effectively, helping businesses to launch their polished, compliant, and user-friendly iOS apps.
