I'm Aven, although I'm also known as OCTAfan (Or just Octa for short). I also go by Electra, Sprite, Elve or Lorelei, although I don't mind if you don't use those names. I use they/it/he/she pronouns, as well as a lot of neos, but those are optional.

I'm a minor, so if that makes you uncomfortable, please leave. I'm also Aroace and don't like flirting that much, so keep that in mind too! As for gender orientation, I'm Gendervoid and Xenogender (Manistatic and Dark Grimstaric, both are my coins).

We also realised that we're a system! Aven is the host, and we collectively refer to ourselves as Paraluxx Nebula.

1. Hm well I’ve posted about it before but I’ve never asked anyone directly. I’d love an AU where Eira is just a smol girl and Aeron just barely adult and somehow being left to take care of her. Aeron, incapable of rising to the task, asks another muse to help him. Already it’s huge of him to ask for help but he’s desperate and pretty much clueless. I think it would just be really interesting to see him grow from all that, needing to co-parent with someone. Of course I’d be a sucker for shipping so it’d be cute to have a slow burn ship for that. But also just becoming someone he can trust, romance or not, I’d really love to see

2. I’ll use this one to talk about a specific one for you :3 So actually I’ve got a photo post in my likes where you mentioned Joe’s high school verse so I remember to try it out with you some day lol I don’t really have an idea of the plot but I just love the idea of Eira, Aeron, Zelda, Joe, Oliver, and maybe Lorelei and Davey all going to the same high school. as for all the different AUs talk that I had in mind, I have a couple of ideas roaming around my brain for Nyx and Luscinia, to be honest, but I am trying to have them settling down, and figure out the vibe I want them to have together , before saying anything on this post (but we can always chitchat on discord about that, if you want).

Anyway, The two aus that are currently occupying my mind the most are one fantasy, one Ghibli-Verse and one supernatural (one word: woofwoofmybeloved).

So for now I am kinda just entertaining some daydreaming and some sketching for the garments, and still learning how to draw Nyx and Luscinia, tbh.

A single mother and empty-nester, Lorelei owns and manages the same burlesque lounge she used to work for in her youth, Cherry Stems.

When not at work or making connections, she still somehow finds herself on semi-weekly misadventures. Her two minutes of kindness leave her prone to being pulled into strange situations, sometimes making unlikely friends or enemies in the process -- if you asked her kids, Lorelei is too welcoming and adventurous for her own good.

Main Alternate.

A verse where Blitzo confessed to his mother not long after his person had been purchased as entertainment for a nobleman's son, and Lorelei divorced Cash along with taking the kids. Since then, the children have been primarily raised in the Lust ring with the aid of her still-living grandfather while working her way up the financial ladder at Cherry Stems, making an occasional visit to Greed to support old friends of the now divided family.

The results of this change in upbringing can be ignored or further discussed with rp partners!

Head of the Romance Department of Human Resources, Lorelei is an angel of Virtue who is also a professional matchmaker. When not giving advice to her coworkers or worrying over the future of earth's population, the four-winged woman can be found volunteering her time with young souls who died too soon -- a program that eases them into their new afterlives.

For this verse, Lorelei is a former scream-queen turned professional horror-centric actress. A lover of the general arts, the hybrid found a particular love for the unsettling genre and the efforts put into it, and through the years has gone ascended from supporting background characters to the killers themselves ; she's also made the efforts to show that the succubi's monstrous forms can be just as entertaining to watch as their natural forms, though some feel she needs to leave the use of such "barbaric" forms in the past.

An ambitious woman, Mara DeRogna wants to finish the work that her ancestors started. Long ago, there was a group of people that wished to conquer the empire that Melodia was part of to reform the entire land since the empire was falling apart due to infighting. However, when attempting to control dragons, that initial group failed in their task.

Mara is the descendant of one of the survivors from that failed group. Over time, she spent time in the shadows manipulating and persuading others to come to her side to try again at controlling dragons - some of which could apparently be found in Melodia, though she's not sure where - and take over Melodia and the land that it was once part of.

In a way, she's the Big Bad of the entire blog (outside of Araceli depending on the verse/thread situation). And she's not going down without a fight, either.

Mara DeRogna has dark blackish-brown hair that's about shoulder length, and similar-colored eyes. She's worn a variety of outfits from more extravagant to casual - it really just depends on what the occasion is in order to blend in with the masses or appeal to her followers with her own status and might.

Loreley is known to run a nighttime establishment in a port town just at the border between the Darya Region and the Ilma Region. A business owner who takes care of those in her employ, going as far as making sure all of them are equipped with at least basic self-defense and have all basic needs met. Despite her working with people, she tends to have some amount of social anxiety and so doesn't go outside of town often.

Loreley did not come from Melodia. Loreley isn't even her real name. She fled her home country to Melodia for her own personal safety, due to people refusing to accept her for her powers back where she came from. She doesn't talk about the past often - the only ones who know her closest are Luciano and Nuriel, albeit for different reasons. Luciano is a semi-regular customer and business acquaintance of hers. Meanwhile, Nuriel had worked at Loreley's establishment mainly as security before he got picked up by Melodia Castle to work as Tahirah's bodyguard (and later advisor). Because of her role and her connections, she's also become the secret eyes and ears of the Althean and Anwara Regions, listening in and looking out for anything of interest.

Her appearance is blonde, pale skin, either wearing green or blue dresses with a white blouse and dark brown boots. Sometimes she wears cream-white and light blue colors too.

Abilities:

Ice powers - Loreley can summon ice and snow at will, use it to freeze people, and even summon giant ice golems and larger structures as needed.

Telekinesis - Loreley can do minor telekinesis.

Potions - Loreley can brew all sorts of potions to assist others with things like healing, etc. She's not a master, but she's decent with her abiltiies.

Persuasion - Given her business talents in running her establishment and so on, Loreley's gotten good at negotiations and persuading others.

(As a secret sidenote, Loreley is my Melodian AU version of what happened to Ingrid from Once Upon A Time (hence the similarities in backstory, powers and FC). If there are any OUAT RPers that want to explore that connection, let me know in messages.)

She thinks she's a caretaker for certain facilities, doing cleaning, food prep and casual testing for various SCPs, as well as doing "social checks" on the more sapient subjects (her favorite being 049)

She is not. She is SCP-5594, and keeping her fooled with the idea that she is a caretaker is how the Foundation is keeping her contained. Allowing her a certain amount of free reign and directing her away from stressful or alarming situations is the M.O. until they think of something more permanent.

They will not do so.

She is, in fact, a variant of Mainverse Lorelei who, due to an unreleased incident, is unaware of her powers, longevity, and invulnerability. The SCP Foundation's current goal is to keep it that way.

No word on where Benji is in this verse.

Loreley could only chuckle softly, looking to him gently. “Someone’s into older women, Sir Therius? Is that why you asked?”

Therius’ face flushed, if only faintly as he shook his head. “I don’t think so, I just meant that perhaps you’d...like some company...”

She smiled, shaking her head. “As much as I am flattered by you asking me, I must decline. However,” Her gaze shifted towards Delia, “perhaps she is available...”

Therius’ gaze snapped towards Delia, green eyes blinking. “A—Miss Delia.” He cleared his throat awkwardly as Loreley pushed him a little towards her. “My apologies, I didn’t realize you were there.”

“WAITTTT!!!! Stop, stop the ship! We can rest over at that port’s tavern! I’ve been there before, I know it’s good!”

And so Nuriel led everyone to the tavern after they docked the ship. They were on the way back to Azami’s palace so they would be there in time for the engagement ball celebrating Azami and Sean’s engagement, but it was getting pretty dark and needed a place to land for now. They would finish the journey and get back tomorrow.

Nuriel was the one that opened the doors, before his voice boomed throughout the tavern. And that was saying something, given that the tavern was pretty busy with patrons drinking and chatting with each other.

“Loreley!? Hope you don’t mind me and my companions coming through!”

A woman looked to them, dressed in a long, green skirt, long-sleeved white blouse with a brown bodice. Her blonde hair was tied back, though there were a few bangs tucked behind her ear, out of the way of her face.

“Nuriel? It’s been so long!” She came forwards to greet them, smiling. “I hope you’ve been well?”

“Yeah, I’m good. I see you’re doing well, too—Do you have any rooms? We need a place to stay for the night.”

“You’re in luck. We have four rooms left this evening.”

“Perfect. We’ll take all four, split the rooms amongst ourselves. Oh, and we’ll need meals for tonight and for tomorrow morning.”

“I’ll have my ladies prepare the rooms for you. In the meantime, do feel free to sit, order some drinks and your evening’s meals. Enjoy yourselves, all of you!”

As she went to go inform her workers, Nuriel looked to the others, grinning. “I know her—she owns the place. Came through here and stayed for a bit, once, while she was also working here at the time, and now she’s the tavernkeeper!”

“Really?” Nobutsuna blinked. He’d never really been to a tavern before, so this was new. “That’s interesting. How long ago was this when you knew her?”

“We go pretty far back. Over..twelve years, now? Please, excuse me.” Nuriel quickly went towards the back of the main floor, and Nobutsuna noticed that the ladies (and men) back there were more scantily dressed. Probably the prostitutes, he guessed.

“I knew he was gonna buy them drinks.” Tahirah managed, chuckling. “Nuriel does that every time we stop at a tavern for the night. He buys them all one round of whatever drink they want…”

I'm also kind of in the mood to talk about some AUs now that I think about it...so if anyone was curious about any of the AUs I've got, now's the time to poke me about 'em lmao.

Obviously there's Call of Honor, but I'll put short summaries of my other AUs under the cut:

COD AUs:

Venator: Cyberpunk fantasy AU set in the future in which Soap is a human priest, Price is a vampire...cop? kind of? (he's not really Police but he's the closest thing vampires/werewolves/other "fantasy creatures" have to social work and law enforcement), and Makarov is the Russian vampire equivalent of a mafia boss.

Apoptosis: Price is a Detective Sergeant investigating a series of murders in London, getting tangled up with Soap (a key witness) along the way. Spoiler alert: Makarov's the serial killer.

Oasisverse*: Bighuge fantasy AU that I and one of my partners share. Not a whole lot of solid lore and no big fic planned, but I've got a Lot of lore on Makarov in this AU and some bits of lore for Soap, Price, and Yuri.

Untitled Incubus AU: In which Soap and Makarov are both incubi. This AU isn't Entirely smut but obviously this is gonna be sex-heavy so heads up if you're not into that/you're a minor. The AU itself is untitled, but the two fics I'm planning for it are called Midnight Kiss (Soap/Price) and As You Wish (Makayuri).

Untitled Fashion Designer AU: In which Soap and Makarov make clothes basically.

*Oasisverse isn't strictly a COD AU—it's largely an OC playground for myself and my partner—but we do insert our favorite characters in the 'verse too, which is why I count it among one of my AUs!

Dishonored AUs:

Immram: Iron age fantasy AU in which Havelock (who's the Dishonored equivalent of a Norse whaler) goes on what's essentially an odyssey to find a lost artifact his village depends on. Feat. my oc Moira who's a Morleyan selkie.

Lorelei AU: Pirate AU in which Havelock starts a pirate fleet after being booted from the Navy, Corvo escapes from Coldridge on his own (with the Outsider's Mark), and the two of them team up and Fuck Shit Up. Very much High Chaos.

Also! I know already mentioned Call of Honor, BUT I figured I'd mention: I'm planning a couple of spinoff fics!

The first, with the working title The Way of Death, will follow Makarov's POV through the events of the entire saga (which is gonna be real fun, since he'll be AWOL for a large portion of Interim, and in TWOD we'll see exactly what he was up to :3c)

The second is a lighthearted...slice of life...coffee shop...fluff...romance AU in which everyone is reincarnated many years into the future and they all get to live completely normal lives. Working title is Operation Coffee Bean!

I'm also chewing on a High Chaos version of COH, which I'm considering making its own (shorter) spinoff once I've gotten through most of my other COH-related WIPs.

What if Lorelei attended Night Raven College instead of Black Moon Academy?

     Making choices always came with certain difficulty to Lorelei. Thus, when Black Moon Academy announced that it will hold an exchange/transfer program along with other prestigious magic schools, she didn’t know what to think of it at first. While everyone else seemed to be excited at an opportunity to get away from their usual routine, Lorelei couldn’t help but worry instead. When she got accepted into the program she hesitated for a while. Would she be able to handle the environment and expectations laid out before her? She had great grades and teachers always praised her for her work, but would this trend continue? Or would she eventually crack under the pressure and give up? 

     Although million thoughts kept running through her mind, she eventually agreed and transferred to the famous Night Raven College that also participated in this exchange/transfer program. She wasn’t going to give up so easily. After all, this wasn’t who she was. She would prove to everyone that she deserved this opportunity. She’d prove to everyone that she can handle whatever was coming at her. She’d prove to herself that she can do it, even though sometimes it feels like she could break at any given moment. Besides, being at NRC would allow her to keep a closer eye on her brother Aurelius, who was a second-year student there. Ultimately, these were the factors that convinced her to go through with it. 

     Unsurprisingly, upon her arrival she was sorted into Octavinelle as a third-year student— well, to everyone but her. When she first heard the dorm name, she thought it was a sick joke. Surely, the Headmaster would soon say that it was all a prank for the newcomers, but that moment never happened. Then came the denial. She didn’t want to believe in this, nor did she actually do so. Dread followed shortly after as the realization began slowly sinking in. She was to be an Octavinelle student, alongside the likes of Azul, Jade and Floyd, the very people she disliked the most. Although the possibility of transferring to another dorm existed, she already accepted her dreadful fate. Instead of sulking about something as trivial as this, instead she’d focus on her initial goal  — proving to everyone and herself that she can do this. But will she?
