Alicent who veils her hair during her day to day life, elegant laces and silks adorning her long ginger-brown hair, covering it completely at the Sept.

Alicent who wears dresses with long heavy skirts and always covers her elbows with billowing sleeves.

Alicent who conceals her silhouette with thick shaping garments. they also just helped her back during her pregnancies and taking care of kids (her servants recommended them so she'd have full range of motion and support)

Alicent who was stripped of her modesty, her dignity and sense of security whenever Viserys wanted her. stripped of it by her own father when he sent her to Viserys's chambers in a dress that didn't cover as much as she would have liked, especially when she visited a man with those (silent) instructions.

Alicent who lets her hair down around people she trusts. covering it around Rhaenyra after she abandoned her, a blow to Rhaenyra, a blatant "you hurt me and broke my trust". letting Criston see her hair after he becomes her sworn sword. covering in front of Viserys until he demands she stops. Alicent putting a little makeshift veil on her daughter, who wanted to look like her mum, promising it would protect her from how loud the world was.

since we’re all ovulating right now and i just got done with my ninth re-read of The Netherwood, i just wanted to share a thought i had

thinking of werewolf!Sanemi being able to tell when reader is ovulating. he can both see the changes in her and smell the subtle change in her scent, all while it always makes his instincts to breed flare up. one time, however, her cycle lines up with his heat and he just goes fucking wild, both physically and mentally unable to control himself.

Yeah. I think this instance — if her ovulation week lined up with his heat — there would be no tapping out. because you’re so right. I think Sanemi gets one whiff of those hormones and he just goes into full breeding mode. Not a thought in his head other than mate and breed.

I think he even loses control over his shifting — like he’s just cycling between human, half-shifted, and full-shifted forms constantly, sometimes doing all three in one session. She’s not walking out of it until her belly is fully bloated with cum (if she’s walking at ALL). But let’s be honest — her ovulation week is probably a monster of its own. tonight has been such a great show of how the fans see c!Dream. the language surrounding him is dehumanizing, in the story, he is the book, he is kept in a vault, he is a monster - c!Q and c!Sam are seconds from calling him it, and the fandom reflects so many of these views. he is not a person with feelings, he is a monster, a predator stalking its prey, an obssessed beast. not human, never human with his very own motivations and goals and dreams who plans for something more. he never wans things for a reason that could not be seen as selfish desire, he is evil personified.

but the moment the language around him, by others in the story, the people who hold power over him reflect the lack of humanity that he should be granted, suddenly it is impossible to strip him of this human side. no, he cannot be in a vault, vault is for objects (like the revive book that everyone sees him as).

he is granted only as much humanity as people think he deserves to be punished further
