lol if sns was real, which one do u think would get more jealous? Also, do you think Sasuke would blend in well with Naruto's group of friends. I think he would do well with Neji and Lee, but I think Gaara and Shikamaru would be a different story. I headcannon he would probably be jealous of how close Gaara and Naruto are with each and Shikamaru would be the one friend who would hate the relationship because of how affectionate they are with each other (but still be happy for his best bud)

'Jealousy' doesn't really seem right for either of them, I don't know. They both know one other well enough to recognize the depth of their relationship and how important they are to one another. And because of that, it's practically impossible to feel genuine jealousy? Not jealousy, for instance, when Sakura told Sasuke she felt that Naruto got in between them, or he prevented her from the happiness she'd think she'd get with Sasuke, lol. 

People call Naruto jealous when he displays 'possessiveness' over Sasuke, but that didn't stem from jealousy; it was protective. The sacrifices they made for each other were for each other. Unlike Hinata, who attempted to sacrifice herself and everyone along with it if she must, simply so Naruto would look at her and she'd have her five minutes of fame. It's the intention behind it that matters. 

Throughout the narrative, Kishimoto consistently demonstrated to us that they are each other's most special person.

Honestly, I don't think jealousy applies, but if it did—perhaps in an alternate universe or something—Naruto would undoubtedly be the loudest about it. Sasuke would glare them to death and get petty about it later: "Oh, I don't know, Naruto. Why don't you just go to [x] and ask? I will take my bath now, thanks." 

I find the idea of "Naruto's group of friends"… interesting. It's always been so damn conditional. Naruto accepts it, but I don't think Sasuke ever would. So there's already a distance here. Their wounds from the past are different, so are their ext. desires.

But anyway, I think Sasuke would get along with Neji somewhat. They'd at least have some things to talk about regarding clans had the latter not been killed for a brief display of playing last-minute match-making. Lee… possibly, but I don't think they really vibe; he'd exhaust Sasuke, lol. I was thinking Tenten maybe, but she was particularly viscous about him, so I don't see it actually.

Shino had potential.

Shikamaru and Sasuke are purely business. Shikamaru respects Naruto's decisions, and if that includes Sasuke, then he'd stay out of it, but it's nothing personal. Neither was the decision to save him even if it cost his life, or killing him if he thought it'd be for Konoha's sake.

Ah, you know what? Wouldn't it be interesting if Shikamaru had a conversation with Sasuke later to explain that he understood some things better after experiencing the need for revenge himself?! Like, why wasn't that ever brought up later? ;-; 

I think Sasuke would get along with Gaara though? In fanon, it's often Gaara who's the jealous one. Like, he holds Naruto in such high regard that he would refrain from interfering if Naruto were happy. But all three of them know what it feels like to think you need to prove your existence in some way. Gaara and Sasuke definitely have some understanding between them in that regard, maybe less in others.

Sidenote: Am I the only one who'd loved to see Naruto and Juugo get along?

I was encouraged to write more comments and make my love known to fanfic writers.

I dont really like commenting. Because im a bit shy and soooo lazy.

Now though. I am writing more comments. And dude. This is so heartwarming. Ya'll need to treat writers better. They are doing the lord's work.

Take for an example, couple of days prior, i was searching for something interesting to read, and found an oneshot quite compelling.

I read it. At the end of it, i was blown away by how good it was. It promised me something and it went beyond my expectations. But then i saw a crime, zero fucking comments!

At that moment, i wasn't feeling up to writing a comment. Because, normally i like to write huge paragraphs. But because im lazy i decided to be brief.

Next day, the author answered that the comment lift their mood for the whole day.

That warmed my heart.

Duuuuuuuude! Write comments! Suport the writers of the fics you like! No need to be something super elaborate. Just give your thoughts. Freak out. Ramble. Ask something. Make theories. Compliment. Make a joke about how you wished to give kudos every chapter but ao3 sucks(not true bby) and won't let you.

Truly. Just. Comment. It can make someone's day. And that is part of the apeal of writing fics. Interacting with people.

Just give love to fanfic writers yall. They deserve this and so much more.

The most important thing to remember while writing Obito is that he is a freak. You are legally obligated to have him say, think or do something that will make the reader go "hey obito what the fuck" every other paragraph. He is not allowed to be normal.

That goes double for any time he is anywhere near Kakashi, who is also a freak but in a different way, and who only makes Obito more insane

i feel like we as a society need more kakashi-centric (or even team 7-centric) fics where you have the extremely unreliable narrator obito, who is constantly stalking kakashi. hyperfocusing on every word that comes out of kakashi’s mouth and everyone else being reduced to “naruto said this, or something like that. it doesn’t matter.”

the randomest things setting obito into an internal spiral, and you don’t know what’s going on until he snaps out of it but you’ve still lost a good portion of narration to obito’s internal dialogue/breakdown. you also aren’t sure how long he was spiraling for! you go from gai challenging kakashi and now all of a sudden there are dead squirrels arranged in the shape of a seal and genma is also there juggling senbon.

every other thought about kakashi is fueled by either hate-fueled murderous rage, possessiveness, violent homoerotic thoughts, or a mix of any of those. very gay and very violent. or bloody. half of these thoughts become little violent fantasies.

obito unironically knowing every single one of kakashi’s microexpressions and vocal tones and what they mean, and as a result recognizes things abt kakashi nobody else does. he probably hates when someone else recognizes smth abt kakashi from this.

he also knows the randomest things about kakashi, that can/will randomly pop up at any point in the narration. like kakashi has a secret poetry collection hidden under the sixth floorboard to the right of his bed and northwest of the bedroom window. or a piercing. or even angsty stuff like kakashi trying to rip out his eyes after a nightmare. who knows!

obito’s outward opinion of kakashi constantly flip-flopping between positive and negative, and the quality and genre of narration depends on where his opinion of kakashi is.

obito also hates kakashi’s ninken with a burning passion because they have a better sense of smell than kakashi, which means obito has to stalk from kamui rather than the outside world. watching from kamui isn’t the same because he isn’t on the same physical plane as kakashi.

but yeah i feel like we should abuse obito’s,,, everything. more.

I just came up with the idea where Fem!Y/n is half Uchiha and half Hyuga and so only the Hyuga elders knew of this but told no one since she was half hyuga and half UCHIHA but now it's Time for the ~Truth~ but the reader F!Y/n left the village and lived somewhere else but when she came back to the hidden leaf she will be staying with the Hyugas since the uchihas were massacred.

I think this is such an interesting concept tbh. I’ll be using a GNReader concept for this, so I’ll refer to the reader as they/them so anyone can put themselves in this concept.

Imagine being half Uchiha, half Hyuga… Two major clans. There’s so many ways that concept can go. Byakugan or Sharingan?

I’ll also be assuming that Y/N would have been sent off at a young age to be protected.

I’ll assume based on your ask and the reader coming back to live with the Hyugas, they have the byakugan. Although, highly possible they could have Sharingan and that they could potentially activate these at separate times. And their one surviving parent, considering the other was murdered, takes them back in happily. After all, it’d been the Uchiha!parents idea to send you off.

Now there’s a lot of things that could come into play here, you know?

More than likely, Y/N is going to be from a branch family. Would they have the curse mark or not though? That’s a good question. The Uchiha parent probably forbade it from happening. Protecting the reader from being a servant to the main branch of their other parents family. And I can almost PROMISE YOU that Neji would be holding some sort of resentment against them for this fact alone. What makes you so special that you were spared? Just because you’re an Uchiha?

Sasuke on the other hand most definitely is just in a state of shock when he finds out that you’re also an Uchiha through one of his aunts/uncles. He’s not alone. His brother had missed one more Uchiha and now he wasn’t alone anymore.

HOWEVER, it was highly likely he’d want nothing to do with you for the fact that… What would you have to offer him? He didn’t need help. Your clan was his and his alone to avenge. Who were you anyway? You’re half Hyuga. Go live off them. You have no business worrying about restoring the Uchiha clan when you hadn’t even been around.

You’d be the black sheep of both the Hyuga clan and in Sasuke’s eyes. Neither would want much to do with you. And Neji and Sasuke would likely both resent you, at least in the beginning because we love character development when people realize that what happened was out of your control and what you’d been deprived of being sent away from both of your families.

Now if you were to get romantically involved with anyone… Say, Naruto… Prepare for Neji and Sasuke being rather… displeased.

honestly, i am so deep into magical girl fandoms that i forget their focus on female characters and sapphic ships isn't the norm in every fandom. like i was just watching this video because i needed some background noise while i drew

and i was so blown away by how male centered all the fandoms featured here are. m/m ships are the front and centre while f/f ships and female characters are pushed to the back. even in fandoms with a more platonic/family oriented focus, the relationships between male characters always take precedence over those of female characters. and you can't tell me "well, the female characters in x media just aren't well written" because male characters can be worse written and fandoms will take what little personality they've been given and make so many aus, hcs, fanart, fanfics etc. bbc sherlock fandom gave a male character who never even fucking appeared in the show a whole personality, backstory, characterization etc but never bothered to do the same with the female characters they claim were poorly written.

and honestly, its so sad. because there's so many good female oriented media and f/f ships out there but they just won't get the attention that male oriented media gets because people always need a man in everything. you can use the excuse of the female characters being poorly written all you want but even in media where they ARE well written, they get pushed aside in favour of men.

and god forbid you call this out, especially if you're a lesbian, you'll be accused of being homophobic and hating all mlm. i've seen it happen so many times on twitter. just because someone criticizes how mlm always gets precedence over wlw, doesn't mean they hate mlm. mlm rep is important but it sucks how its always given preference over wlw just because people prefer following men's stories than women's stories.

I just rewatched vote2 and OMGGGG idk if I'm mad at kishi for not getting them together (cuz I know they probably wouldn't be) or just mad that he ended it there and didn't explore narusasu's relationship after all that, but I have so many emotions 😭 I'm just mad that nh and ss got together 🙄 (I wouldn't call them canon, cuz sns love for each other is canon, nh and ss is forced)

Also I love Sasuke so much in this fight that I'm also mad we didn't get to see more of him like this (openly showing his emotions, laughing, crying, being happy for once, accepting Naruto)

But anyway, do you know which fic is best to read after watching the ending? I already know lots of canon fics but idk which one is the best to read. I wanna fil the hole in my heart 😩

I still really liked it in the Anime, it’s just that I wish there were a few things they’d done differently as shown in the Manga. Like Sasuke screaming for sure, he's in so much pain and it's so important to show that, especially considering VotE1 where Naruto was screaming. Now it's a reverse and for good reason.

And nah, there’s no way they’d actually get together in the sense that a romantic relationship becomes surface level text and it’s spelled out for the reader.

You know, I was thinking about this and ‘Naruto’ is a story where Kishimoto used every literary device in his creators’ arsenal in order to show the story. Even in dialogue and text, he still pays attention to how something is said and the timing of it. That’s why, in order to understand a message or to pick up on sub-text, context is so important. That's what makes something 'true'. Characters don’t always say what they mean… in fact, the best characters don’t imo. There’s so much heart in the story and you can see it in the slightest expressions, in body language and Kishimoto definitely has a way of showing what he considers important and what isn’t. 

Brt on the other hand… well, it’s just told. It’s called authorial assertion or fiat in literature. They don’t show us why or how something happened, there’s no justification, evidence for any declarations and don’t even question it, because ‘it is just so because we said so’ and they don’t even know either.

Villain 1: "Um, is this Erasurehead?"

Aizawa: "Yes, what do want? I'm in the middle of important business!"

Villain 1: "Well, you see, we have one of your students, Midoriya, and we want to know where we should drop him off at?"

Aizawa: "...."

Aizawa: "What do mean 'drop him off at'"?

Villain 1: Well, he kind of gave us a talk about how we don't need to be villains and now we all feel bad about the stuff we did and want to give him back to you"

Aizawa: *sighs tiredly while dragging his hand down his face*

Aizawa: "Meet me at the abandoned choclate factory over on 15th street"

Villain 1: "Okay! Yeah, we can do that and I just want to say how sorry we are for kidnapping him! We're fully expecting to be arrested when we get there, so don't worry about us putting up a fight"

Aizawa: *sighs tiredly and hangs up*

Katsuki who listened to the whole conversation on speaker phone: "So he did it again?"

Aizawa: "Yup."

Katsuki: "And now you have to call the police and do more paperwork than you want to?"

Aizawa: "Yup."

Katsuki: "Want me to go with you to pick him up or..."

Aizawa: "Yes, lord knows he's gonna need someone to talk to on the way back and I cannot deal with him right now."

Katsuki: "So... what do we do with this guy?"

Katsuki: *jabs finger towards the shapeshifing villain who is tied and gagged with sero's tape snd spewing muffled curses at them*

Aizawa:"Hand him over to campus security and let them take care of him"

Katsuki: *nods and drags the screaming villain out the door with him*

Aizawa: "Im getting too old for this"

Later at the abandoned Chocolate Factory:

Aizawa, Katsuki, and a handful of cops walk into the Factory:

Izuku: *jumping up and down while waving his hand*

Cops: *rush over to arrest the villains*

Izuku: "Sensei! Kacchan!! Over here!"

Katsuki: "We know, idiot! We aren't blind!"

Villain 1 being arrested: *whispering* That's 'Kacchan'? I thought he'd be nicer"

Villains 2-4 also being arrested: *nod in agreement*

Izuku: *bounds over to Aizawa and Katsuki*

Izuku: "Sensei! Kacchan! You're not going to believe the day I've had!"

Izuku: *begins rambling*

Aizawa looks tiredly at Katsuki: "You take care of him, I have a big enough headache as it is"

Katsuki: *nods and turns back to listen to Izuku's rant and scold him for being reckless and getting in trouble again*

Really stupid au where when they were younger, Kakashi and Obito shared an accidental kiss a lot like Sasuke and Naruto. (Kakashi commits to his mask shortly after but will never not insist it's unrelated)

Years later and Kakashi, trying to cheer up Naruto and Sasuke ab their own embaressing accidental first kiss, shares his own story

Then, years later when Obito reveals himself on the battlefield, instead of going "woah, another Uchiha!?" when he hears his name, Naruto can't help but point and shout OH MY GOD UR THE GUY WHO KISSED SENSEI!!!!!!!!

Instant dead silence. (Obito wants to die)

Sakura, who never heard the story ab how it was a one time accidental kiss: "omg... sensei's childhood boyfriend went evil on him... this is so fucked up"

Obito is VIOLENTLY thrown off by this turn of events (and also hasn't actually thought ab it in years oh my god that did happen didn't it)

Kakashi, seeing how badly it threw him off, and also the kind of person who plays hard into throwing people off and generally fucking w them to gain an edge, seeing Sakura mumbling ab lovers to enemies and just kinda goes "Yeah Obito I can't believe you'd do this to me I thought we had smthn special."

"Yeah a rivalry????"

"So I was only ever a way for u to get stronger,, figures u were using me,,,"

[Confused Obito car crash noises]

Sakura yells smthn ab him being a deadbeat and how Kakashi can do so much better and Naruto is instantly shouting in agreement as Sasuke stands there like "hn." Which is basically the same thing for him

Kakashi just starts straight up lying actually

"What about all those picnics we went on... watching the sun set over konoha..."

"Are you talking about when Minato said we weren't allowed to come back inside till we stopped arguing and ate on opposite ends of the roof bc we couldn't even look at eachother without yelling???"

Obito, starting to actually doubt himself, "was that a date????"

"We literally got eye married" (not a thing, he just made this up 3 seconds ago)

"We got WHAT" (no one can prove him wrong tho bc no surviving Uchiha knows that much ab their clans marriage traditions)

"Figures." -Sasuke, who's been in proximity w Obito for some time now and absoloutley believes every word ab this topic Kakashi is saying

"Woah. This is almost as bad as the fact he murdered my parents when I was a baby dattebayo" - Naruto who's priorities are NOT what they should be

"Ok. I wouldn't go that far." - Sasuke, who's priorities are also fucked but not THAT fucked, oh my god Naruto

"No, no he's right. We should kill him even harder for this" - Sakura, who doesn't actually agree but wants an excuse for more juicy sensei love drama (and also wants to see Obito beaten to death anyways)
