What if when they go to jotuheim Thor got killed?
Is definitely worse scenario. Who fo you think will getting blame if their dued in jotuheim? Loki, Thor friends or heimdall?
Odin definitely will blame loko butvthem he will blame thor friends then heimdall for open the bridge. Who do you think will get blame and getting punishment?
Politically, I think it would end up being Heimdall. Internally I think it Loki would end up blaming himself. Even if they were never meant to even end up on jotunheim it was because of him Thor got the idea and that something that would weigh on him for the rest of his life. Also I don't think Loki would ever end up telling anyone. and Odin would probably say he blamed himself, but really was blaming Thor.

Once, mankind accepted a simple truth, that they were not alone in this universe. In some worlds, man believes to be home to their gods. Others, they knew to fear. From a realm of cold and darkness came the Frost Giants, threatening to plunge the mortal world into a new ice age. 
But humanity would not face this threat alone.
The battle of Jotunheim was a great battle that lasted only for a hot minute, but a hot minute it was. Armies from Jotunheim and armies from Asgard gathered to fight, much like what happened between Xenia and Asgard over the Tesseract. Asgardian armies drove the Frost Giants back into the heart of their own world. The cost was great. In the end, their king fell, and the source of their power was taken from them.
They call it the Casket of Ancient Winters. It's kind of like the Tesseract, only a lot bigger and encased in a blue shell. It has the powers of ice, and the Asgardians stole it from them. When the last great war ended, Asgardians withdrew from the other worlds and returned home to the Realm Eternal... Asgard.
What you remember of Asgard is that it's a golden city. It's just dazzling, but you don't remember a lot of it. It's like there is this part in your memory that has been taken out by something or someone, and you just don't remember Asgard as much as you think you do. Asgard can be a beautiful place if you let it. There, they remain as a beacon of hope, shining out across the stars. Though they have fallen into man's myths and legends, it was Asgard and its warriors that brought peace to the universe.
Well, that's what they like to tell themselves. Everyone had a part to play in making the universe what it is today. All the battles and losses make up for the wins and the good things. They balance each other out. Well, that's what you like to tell yourself. Never did you think you'd be back on Asgard, but here you are--caught up in the Bifrost and stuck on a planet you never wanted to go back to.
The black man stands there with careful golden eyes as he watches you. He seems to not be afraid of you, but that will change if he knows you're from Xenia. If this planet knows who you are, then you'd be dead. There has to be another way off this planet before they can kill you. You stand carefully, and the black man takes the sword out from the middle platform. That causes the Bifrost to close. You're stuck here, but you're not going to be stuck in here--whatever it is.
"Who are you?" you find it in yourself to ask.
"The question is, who are you? What are you doing here?"
"I'm getting out of here so unless you want to open that rainbow bridge again, I suggest you move."
"You're not going anywhere," he glares.
You don't have time to waste on this man. He will attack you if you give him the chance, so you're not going to give him the chance. Using your aerokinesis, you send a gush of wind straight at the man's legs causing him to be swept off his feet. You slam his body into the wall of the Observatory-like structure, and then you make a break for it.
Your body shifts into that of a large bird--too large for Earth to house. You remember seeing one on another planet ages ago, but you have its DNA code locked into your brain. It doesn't matter if you've seen something ten minutes ago or hundreds of years ago, they will be locked into your brain so you can use their structure for later. You've traveled thousands of light-years throughout the universe, so you've met a lot of people. Every single one of them is filed away for a rainy day.
You fly toward the golden castle as fast as you can to get away from the golden man, and only when you feel that you're safe, do you change back into yourself. You look behind you to see he's not there which means he didn't follow you. You turn back to the castle but are stopped when you see Asgardian guards with spears pointed at you. Some of those spears are close enough that if you so much as move, they will penetrate your body.
Apparently, the golden man sent the alarm that you were coming. It wasn't smart on your part, but now you have to face the consequences. You can easily defeat all the guards, but that would only worsen your case once they find out you're from Xenia. There is no talking involved as they basically manhandle you into cuffs and practically drag you into the castle.
"I didn't hurt him and I am not going to hurt anyone here," you plead.
"Tell that to the King."
The King? Oh no, if Odin finds out who you are, he will have your head. The guards shove you inside the castle and seeing the hallway and its decor brings back the only memory you have of Asgard.
Markus had stormed the castle in search of the Tesseract. He was here for one thing and one thing only, and he will get it no matter how many Asgardians he has to kill. The hallways of the castle are destroyed as the battle breaks out between the two species. Markus has a death grip on your arm as he searches for the Tesseract. You don't want to be here, but Markus had made it clear that he doesn't give a shit about what happens to you.
You're only here as an insurance policy--a shield to use as a last resort. Though, you know you are safe. You're the only one he has experimented on, and all the data he has is based on your blood and DNA type. To experiment on another would only take up more time--time that he doesn't have.
You wish he'd just throw you in front of a spear or a bullet so you don't have to deal with this anymore.
"Come on," he hisses and heads down to the basement.
You're not sure what is down here, but there are guards guarding the door. It's either where they keep their prisoners or that's where they keep their weapons. Either way, Markus is killing someone. Before the guards can react, Markus shoots them with his space gun. You're not sure what the name of it is, but you like to call it a space gun since it's fun to say. The guards' bodies are suctioned in like a miniature black hole as they implode on themselves.
"Markus, please don't do this," you beg.
"Shut up," he scowls.
He enters the room, and you see weapons on either side of the wall. If someone is going to hold an Infinity Stone on their planet, the weapons vault is the way to go. Markus made sure to do a lot of research on the Tesseract when he figured out it existed. It's one of the six Infinity Stones, and the only reason why he didn't go for the other ones was that this was the easiest to access. The other stones are heavily guarded--nothing like the weapons vault on Asgard.
The Tesseract shines brightly on its podium, tempting anyone to just take it. Markus stares at it with power-hungry eyes while you look on with your fear-induced ones.
"Markus, it doesn't have to be this way."
He turns to you and grabs your face harshly and is about to say something when he spots something behind you. He quickly turns you around and places you right in front of you as a shield. There is a young man around the same age as you with black hair and bright blue eyes. He wears a green and black suit, but you don't know who he is. You believe he could be one of the Princes, but you're not completely sure. Even from where you are, he's gorgeous.
"Walk away, kid," Markus warns.
The young man looks at you and sees how scared you are. He doesn't say anything, and you plead with your eyes that he shoots or something so that you would be killed, but he doesn't. Instead, he turns and flees the weapons vault. Markus smirks and grabs the Tesseract with one hand while still keeping his other one on you.
You and Markus leave the weapons vault only to face a grueling sight. Asgardian and Xenian bodies lay all across the hallway. The battle is more intense than Markus realizes, and now that he has the Tesseract, he opts to leave.
"Fall back! Retreat!" he yells into the communication piece that connects him to all of his soldiers.
He turns to leave the way he came when Odin appears with his staff, Gungnir, in his hands and an angry look in his eyes. You know it's a big deal when his staff has a name--a name that is known to a lot of people.
"Drop the Tesseract. Now!" Odin yells.
"You're going to have to make me."
A fight immediately breaks out and you're flung to the side when Odin fires Gungnir at Markus. Your head slams against one of the pillars and your vision is immediately compromised. You want to cry and scream but you just don't have the energy for it anymore. Markus and Odin continue to fight for the Tesseract which is in Markus' possession. A small whimper escapes your lips, and a person appears by your side.
It's the young man you saw in the weapons vault. His blue eyes are more mesmerizing up close, and he's a lot paler than you remember despite only having a brief interaction. Still just as gorgeous.
"I can help you," he states in a British accent. "Come with me."
That's the last thing you remember before you're back on Xenia being injected with the new serum with the Tesseract's power inside of it. Being back here is going to be brutal if Odin doesn't kill you. That battle happened a thousand years ago, and you're hoping that he doesn't remember who you are. The guards bring you to the throne room where there's an audience, apparently. Odin and Frigga are there, of course, but so are Thor and Loki. Four other people--three men and a woman--stand off to the side.
The biggest of them all looks to have the girth and the strength of a Sumo wrestler with oversized passions to match. His beard is long and red, and his armor does a good job of protecting his torso. The next male in line is a blonde man with much shorter hair. He does have a beard, but he has a lot more hair gathered at the chin. Not a goatee, but not a full beard either. His armor is black and sharp in nature.
The last male is dark, sullen, and looks to be brooding. He's of Asian descent--the Earth version of it. He has longer hair than the blonde man but it's kept back in a man bun. He doesn't look like he has time to waste. Finally, the only female looks fierce and strong. She is clad in armor with a shield and sword at her side. Her armor is silver and grey, and her beauty is nothing to trifle with. They look intimidating but you're not worried about them right now. You'd admire the decor they have inside if you weren't being forced to stand in front of the throne like a prisoner.
You look to your left and lock eyes with the bluest eyes you've ever seen. Seeing those eyes brings back a memory you never knew you had.
Markus had come and gone with the Tesseract but he left you behind. He defeated Odin and escaped with what he could grab, and the Tesseract is more important than you are. Does he even know you're gone? Does he care? Is he going to come back? Are you finally free from his abuse? The one who saved you is Loki, one of the Princes of Asgard. He stole you away to his room where he has been taking care of you ever since the big prizefight.
You don't have the strength to do much right now, and thankfully, Loki doesn't ask you to do much. He's given you a change of clothes and healed you with whatever he could find in the infirmary, but the emotional trauma will forever be there. There is no healing any of that.
"Do you need anything else?" he asks as he joins you by his bed.
"I-I don't know," you whisper.
"I put a cloaking spell on you so they won't be able to find you."
He reaches up and brushes back a strand of your hair behind your ear, and that gentle touch is what sends you into a wave of tears. You haven't cried in a long time because you didn't want to give Markus the satisfaction of knowing that he was breaking you down into pieces. Now that he is gone, all of that comes rushing to the surface.
"They won't be able to hurt you anymore," Loki promises as he brings you into a gentle hug.
Was that memory always there? Why was it hidden from you until now? Loki is holding the eye contact steady as you figure out why you're now accessing a lost memory. Why not before? You peel your eyes from Loki's and face the King. Odin's face is so stoic and calculating that you can't depict what he is feeling.
"Who are you and why are you here?" Odin asks, his voice booming.
"My name is Y/N, I am from Earth," you lie.
He's been doing this a long time, so he detects the lie within your voice. Loki knows you are lying since he recognized you from the minute you stepped foot into the room.
"You lie!" he yells, and you flinch back from the shock. "Tell me where you are from."
"Xenia," you whisper. As soon as the word is out of your mouth, half a dozen spears are pointed at your neck, and you panic. "Please, I'm not here to hurt anyone. I swear. I mean no harm to you and your people. That battle happened a long time ago."
"Why are you here?" he glares.
"I don't know. I was on Earth when your rainbow bridge came down and sucked me up. I swear I have no intention of being in your world. Someone on your end messed up and caused me to be here. Please, it's been a thousand years. Things have changed. I was never supposed to come here. I have no intention of doing any harm. Please, you have to believe me."
"I don't have to do anything."
Your eyes flicker from Odin to Thor and then to Loki whose poker face is very good. You can't tell what he is thinking.
"Odin," Frigga says, and they have a silent conversation with their eyes.
"May I suggest throwing her in the prison?" Thor speaks out, and you tear your eyes away from Loki to look at him. "Only until we can figure out what to do with her."
"Odin, please be rational about this. That was a long time ago," Frigga whispers.
"Take her to the prisons," Odin orders.
The guards manhandle you out of the room and you sigh with relief. If you're down in the prisons, then you can have more time to figure out how you're going to get out of here. You could turn into a small insect and fly your way out of here. Then, how would you get the Bifrost to work? That golden man will snitch on you if he sees you. All you have to do now is get out of the prison cell, and you'll figure out the rest later.

I've never seen a Thor movie & I'm pretty sure the MCU movies I saw before Avengers were either Captain America or Hulk(?). Just wanna make sure I've got it right. Thor wasn't a hero in his film. A protagonist, sure. But a kinda genocidal god who went against the order of his king & father & got himself into s**t. Then Odin said "You have no idea the problems you have caused. I'm taking away your hammer, your godly might, and sending you to a backwater town until you are the man I want you to be

I would argue that there are no heroes in Thor, and that is why it's such an interesting movie. Everyone is the villain and not the villain. But yes, Thor is the protagonist...kind of. I would also argue that Loki and Thor hold equal weight within the movie as far as driving the plot forward. So like, duo protagonists? Idk. Anyway. Here's how the Odin and Thor thing actually went down:
Order of events: Thor is about to be crowned king of Asgard. Loki recognizes that Thor is kind of a homicidal ego boy and decides that for the safety of Asgard (and probably the Nine Realms), Thor's coronation needs to be delayed. He opens some sort of portal (?) or sneaks the Jotun into the Vault beneath Asgard where they keep all of the magical artifacts that Odin has stolen. These magic artifacts are about the equivalent serial killer tropheys just so you're aware. Odin collects things from the people/worlds he's conquered and then puts them into a Vault like a museum, which is Very Concerning, but I digress. The Jotuns try to steal the Casket of Ancient Winters, which is the heart of their world and they need it so their world will stop dying.
Odin, Loki, and Thor go to investigate the problem and realize it was Jotunheim. Thor is humiliated that his coronation was stopped and wants to lash out at everyone and/or thing possible, and tells Odin that they should declare war on Jotunheim. Which, within the realm of politics and Thor's perspective on the matter makes sense. Thor thinks that Jotunheim did this solely to say they didn't agree with Thor being king, which is a question of his authority, and therefore his right to rule.
To make this EXPLICITLY CLEAR: Thor says, IN THE VAULT, that they should wage war on Jotunheim and ODIN DOES NOTHING. He says that Jotunheim has already paid for the insult because the soldiers who were sent to get the Casket are dead. Thor disagrees and says that they don't know if this is a bigger problem, if it was JUST the two guards who snuck in acting alone or if this is an indication of a bigger problem on Jotunheim. Odin says to drop it.
Thor does not.
Later, Loki, in an effort to calm Thor down, says that he believes Thor and that they don't know if Jotunheim is acting out. Thor says that they should go to Jotunheim and Loki says that's a terrible decision. Loki tries to dissuade them from going, but can't, so Loki alerts the palace guards before they leave to what they're doing and to get Odin. Loki INTENDS for them to get stopped on the Bifrost bridge and never make it into Jotunheim, understandably, because Thor is still being a homicidal ego boy. Odin does not arrive.
HOWEVER: THOR'S GOAL IS NOT TO KILL EVERY JOTUN IN SIGHT. It is only to TALK with them and figure out what happened.
They go to Jotunheim. Thor asks Laufey, king of the Jotuns, whether or not they attacked Asgard, and Laufey says no. Laufey then calls Thor a "little princess" and Thor loses his temper and starts a fight with the Jotuns unprovoked. He does not want to stop killing them even though one of the Warriors Three gets severely injured and they're outnumbered.
(Loki learns he is Jotun in the middle of this fight)
Odin arrives and stops the attack, and tells Laufey that Thor was being an idiot, Laufey -- VERY REASONABLY WITHIN THE WORLD OF POLITICS -- declares war on Asgard for the attack. Odin is angry.
Thor and Odin get into a fight and Thor calls Odin an "old man and a fool" and Odin THEN banishes Thor --NOT for killing a bunch of Jotuns, that is never really brought up -- and strips him of his powers and then says that he's not worthy of his loved ones, his realm, etc and banishes him to Earth. Idk why Earth, but then he sends Mjolnir after Thor. When Thor is "worthy" by whatever standard that means and can wield Mjolnir, he will be gifted his godly strength and powers again.
(I really do not know what Odin's end goal was here. But he seems to kinda have a Thing with just putting his kids where he can't see them when they're causing problems.)
So it's kinda a "you're not the man I hoped you'd be" but also not. If that makes sense? Odin is angry at Thor for insulting him, but he also kinda seems generally disappointed in Thor's life decisions up to this point as well? I don't know. Basically, Odin is angry and he banishes Thor for what seems like him being a Homicidal Ego Boy but is not for being a Homicidal Ego Boy.
I would like to take this moment to remind everyone that Odin was completely aware that Thor was feeling Homicidal because he said so in the Vault BEFORE they left for Jotunheim and just...didn't do anything. Loki was the only one who was actively trying to have them Not go to Jotunheim.
Thor eventually, after spending a few days with Jane who gives him several bonks on the head metaphorically and physically, realizes that he was being an ass. Loki says some stuff to him that also makes his eyes open and he realizes oh yeah, hey, my actions have Consequences. He grows close with Jane, Darcy, and Selvig + the town in deleted scenes. I would argue that Thor did NOT have a wild awakening of his moral compass in the midst of the film, but the Thor that we see at the end of the film is how Thor is 90% of the time. It's just that his anger over the Jotuns and the ego boost of being crowned king was overshadowing his judgment considerably. (Not that this is an excuse because there is never an excuse for murder or genocide. Ever. Period.) Thor is hotheaded and impulsive, but you can't develop a perfect character into something better, so the arc he goes through between Thor and TDW is absolutely fantastic until they took him right back around to Thor DudeBro in Ragnarok.
Anyway, Hope that helps. I apologize for rambling. I have a lot of thoughts about this apparently. lol.

Two years had passed. Two years of rebuilding your country, your people, and your relations with the other realms.
Your people truly were exhausted by the war, ready to move on from it. There was some lasting resentment towards Asgard – who wouldn’t? But when supplies began arriving from the golden palace, even on Jotunheim, tensions eased.
You couldn’t say things were chummy but there were vast improvements. And with Loki’s rule, Asgard was prospering. Her people were as tired of war as any, and now Asgard could focus on itself. You had heard that Loki had the palace repaired, though with less opulence. Much of the gold that had been used to fashion the golden palace had gone to the aggrieved victims. Theater and the arts took off in Asgard and other realms were free to defend themselves as they chose to.
Midgard never knew how close it had come to total annihilation.
Not a day went by that you were not busy. Tending to some social or political manner, new rivals and allies forming each day since Asgard took on an isolationist policy.
But at night, as you lay alone in your massive bed, your thoughts would stray to Loki. You never could tell why, it had not been the most pleasant of time with him and yet…
“My lady, are you listening?”
You straightened up in your chair, blinking away your thoughts. “Err, yes, no. No I lost track of what you were talking about. I apologize, where were we?”
“It has been two years since the great conquest. Our allies wonder if we might throw a gala in honor of it.”
“A gala?”
“A banquet and feast for the nobility, to improve ties that exist and strengthen that which is weak. And a holiday for the workers. We are in an age of prosperity once more, we can stand to lose one day of productivity.”
You frowned and nodded slowly. “Yes, I do like that.”
“Also… If I may…”
You raised your eyebrow.
“You have been of age for some time.”
You sighed heavily as your adviser continued.
“Perhaps it is time you look into finding a husband, producing some heirs, no?”
You pinched the bridge of your nose and nodded. “Yes, I suppose that will be important.” Slouching back in your seat, you sighed again. “Who are we looking at for prospective suitors?”
Your advisers began listing men from various realms. It was quite the list and you realized with your success at encouraging peace after the war, you would be a wanted commodity.
“Very well. A ball for my hand, a gala for peace, and a holiday for the commonfolk. Any against?” You asked.
No one responded.
“All for?”
Everyone in the room raised their hands, looking at you expectantly.
You exhaled heavily then nodded. “So be it. We begin the preparations.”

Three months later, you stood in your finest gown. Your hair was done immaculately by your ladies in waiting, and makeup applied to truly bring out your features. It was a special occasion after all.
One of your maids, Dorothy, doubled as something of a confidant these days. Unlike your time as such a lady, Dorothy was paid and willing to serve.
“Isn’t this exciting, my lady?”
You looked away from the mirror, twisting and turning as you gazed down at the dress hugging your figure. “Hmm?”
“You are to be wed soon! There will be a royal wedding and you will meet your true love.”
“I doubt he’ll be my true love. But as long as he is sufferable and not terribly dull, I think I will manage. It is a political union after all.”
Dorothy nodded but kept smiling. “And then you’ll have a bunch of wee ones running around!”
“Yes, so I will.” You thought about having children, truly as a reality rather than a distant concept you normally placed it as.
Dorothy squeezed you in a tight hug before pulling back. “I’ll help you find the right one.”
Finishing the last touches, you made your way down to the ballroom. The grand doors opened slowly, revealing you in all your beauty, glory, and power. You held up one hand, waving politely at the gathered and greeting suitor after suitor, ally after ally.
Kisses on cheeks, hands shook, hugs, the faces became a blur as you made your way to the high table. To your surprise, the general Gorn was there as well, vying for your hand.
When he greeted you, he bowed low and pressed a kiss to the back of your hand, before straightening up. You blinked at him in surprise.
“Not just a general now.” He said gruffly. “I have my own place on Alfheim now. Powers that be saw me fit to rule more than just a military.”
You smiled at him and nodded.
“May the best man win.” He called as you walked away.
Dorothy scurried behind you.
You reached the high table and sat down. Dorothy found her seat, a simple wooden chair, behind you and leaned in to whisper. She was educated on the rulers of the realms, as were you, but where your knowledge might fall short, she could fill in. You were not on a first name basis with all of the other realms, and even less likely to know their specific faces. The realms had never been so united, so making sure you could speak to anyone who spoke to you was important, that you might not slight someone.
You gave your welcoming speech, thanking everyone for coming, appreciating the enthusiasm for your hand and encouraging them to drink freely. This was a celebration after all.
The music began, those who did not seek your hand and were happy as they came, found partners and began to dance.
One by one, suitors approached your chair and you smiled, obliging them with a dance.
On and on the evening went, round and round you went. Drinks flew, conversations boomed, and no one you spoke to or danced with amused you in the slightest. So much for the possibility of love. Your thoughts turned to Gorn, he had not been a terrible dance partner. And his time in the military ensured he would be capable of interesting conversation.
You bowed your head at your latest dance, a king from some place or another. Excusing yourself, you made your way out onto the balcony, overlooking the city.
The city was alight with the festival torches, the distant whisper of gaiety wafting up towards the palace.
“Is it safe for the queen to be alone?” A deep voice that you couldn’t quite place asked.
“I assure you, I can fend for myself.” You turned around, expecting to see a guard or someone else you didn’t recognize.
To your surprise: a tall man, shoulder length raven black hair, and the greenest eyes you had ever seen, stood before you.
Your heart leapt to your throat as you whispered, “Loki.”

Looking into the driver's center mirror, 'oh wow, I'm a p/r/w.' y/n whispered to themselves. Surprised by how the makeup artists sitting on both sides of them had dolled them up. The red d/s complimenting their dual colored hair. As the limo crawled up the driveway, they were able to see a line of staff standing on the sides. Fabric whishing around y/n's legs as they stepped out, letting out a gasp. 'r/w, on behalf of the entire staff of our honorable general mercenary Punz,' the head of staff began, gesturing towards the illustrious estate, 'It's a pleasure to serve you.' Raising their eyebrows, y/n gave a small thanks, following them in sans shoes. Skipping from white square to white square on the tile. Playing a little game in their head, 'My mother said to count back again. 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1.' A guard close behind them.
'Ha colonel, beat that.' Eyes widening as they saw Punz step out of a small pool, presumably a hot tub. A member of staff holding open a pristine robe, Punz placing his arm in the armhole before taking the other side, tying it shut. Y/n eyes scanning up and down his body as he did so. Unable to deny that he was attractive. 'Forgive my appearance, r/w. I have admired you from afar for many years now.' Walking up to meet y/n halfway, bringing their hand to his lips. Gently kissing it as though taught to be a gentleman. All y/n was able to say in response was to ask, 'Me?'
'You're a hero to me,' nodding to the others standing in the room, 'As well as my people.'
'I think you might got me confused.'
'Y/f/n l/n's fire and rebellion in the face of American oppression is to something my entire siege aspires to.' Y/n taken aback by this statement, 'oh wow.' Further inviting y/n to lunch with him, taking their hand in his.
Glasses clinking together in the form of a cheers, turkey leg in the other hand. Pausing to let out a bellowing laugh, one that comes from the stomach rather than the throat. More than a mere chuckle as y/n's head tilts back. Laughing at the joke Punz had just said, not thinking it to be that funny. But he'd say it again just to see them laugh. Joining with his own, their leaning into their space. Later asking to if he can clean a spot on their cheek from where a morsel of food sat. Licking his thumb before gently wiping it off.
Both standing on a bridge, overlooking the ravine near where Punz lived. Y/n leaning their head on his shoulder as Punz hugged them from behind. His arms next to where there's rested on the cool stone. The sun setting in the distance.
In a plant nursery surround by tropical birds, some landing in y/n arms. Some perching on their shoulders. The setting sun gleaming on the stained glass behind them, akin to a renaissance painting with the red flowers in their hair. Awestruck as the birds flitted around the room. Punz standing across from them with a bird treating his hair as a nest. Attempting to taking screenshot of y/n in his mind's eye. As if this day was his last and he'd never see y/n's iridescent beauty again.
As the night came to a crawl, Punz stood by the window. Lighting a cigarette as he stood only in his boxers and button down shirt opened. Pointing to the large fortress. 'The Warden came here seeking aslyum after the  L'Manbergian war.' Y/n leaning backwards, hand holding them up against the table. Gazing at the same fortress Punz pointed towards. 'They built Jotunheim to continue their unothrodox experiments,' pausing to flick the ash off of his cigarette, 'Until the Minecraft family accepted the bounty of the Warden's head.'
'Wowza,' y/n's face crestfallen at the history lesson Punz was giving them. 'Many years, the rumors began of a beast. The dark rumors helped the Minecraft family maintain power; they would send their political enemies and their families to the fortress, never to return. I have recently learned these were not rumors, they were murdering thousands in bizarre experiments with this creature.' Punz turning away from y/n. 'That must be a big relief it got into your hands now, huh?' Deciding to pay rapt attention to his next response. To determine if he was a bad egg or not.
'Absolutely, now it's our enemies that shall be fearful. If anyone dares to say a negative word about their new mercanery today--their parents, their children and anyone they ever loved will be sent to Jotunheim to feed the bea--.' Punz clutched his stomach, feeling his fingers drench with blood. Y/n shot him, staring Punz in the eyes as the revolver was still pointed at him. Muttering a soft 'I'm sorry' as they clasped their other hand around the body of the gun.
'Recently I made a promise to myself that the next time I got a boyfriend, I'd be on the lookout for red flags and if I saw any, I would do the healthy thing. And I would murder him.' Punz slumped to the ground as the pain made his kneecaps buckle. 'And killing kids, kind of a red flag. I know, I know, I know what you're trying to say. Y/n, why not just leave? And I'd say are you screaming at me? I'm not deaf, I'm standing right here.' Punz rolled over to his stomach as y/n monologued, attempting to crawl away as he hadn't expected this to happen.
'Then I'd say when your taste in men is as bad as mine, they don't just go away quietly.' They shook their head as they thought back to their time with a corrupted Sam. 'They slash your tires and kill your dogs and tell you that the music you like ain't real music at all. And all the cruelty,' swallowing back tears, 'tears you apart after a while.'

Tales of Asgard
Series 1, Episode 5
Sword of Surtur
Opens with Kára taking Sif around the training facilities at Kona Lifandi. She sees that Sif is still conflicted about joining the Valkyries and tries to convince her.
We then see Thor, Loki and the Warriors Three (Balder edition) arrive in Jotunheim where Surtur's sword (Elderstahl) is supposed to be buried.
Skidbladnir is dashed on the ice and they all just about manage to escape. Thor wonders why Loki is quite calm while the others are all freezing. Loki jokes that he is just tougher.
They disturb a nest of Frost Sprites and are swarmed for minute, but manage to flee. As they wander they begin to grow desperate and begin to give up hope in the quest and wonder if they'll get home. They daren't use the bifrost as that will alert the Jotuns to an Asgardian presence. Thor and Loki have a heart to heart, discussing the inheritance of the throne, how they love the story of how Odin (with his father and brothers and the armies of Asgard) defeated the Jotuns and what their peace deal meant for Algrim and his people. And the one where they defeated Surtur. That story, and Loki's prompting helps them find direction. They find the cavern where Elderstahl is said to be hidden but the ice breaks underneath them.
Meanwhile, in Asgard, the taverner has come to Odin for compensation for the damage to his bar. Odin scoffs and is about to get angry when the taverner shows him Thor's lost sword (see episode 4). Odin starts to realise what his sons are up to.
In the cavern, the adventurers come to. Loki has found the Sword of Surtur (Elderstahl). It is huge and embedded in the ice above them.
Hogun frees it with a throw of his mace. Thor takes it and it magically transforms to the right size for him. He unsheaths it and a great blast from it blows a hole in the cave roof. Loki is worried they will get caught with the weapon in Jotunheim. Thor says no one can stop them with it in their possession. The group are concerned about Thor's attitude. What they don't know is that the sword exerts a malevolent influence over the user, bringing out their worst qualities. In Thor's case, it is his bravado and the need to prove himself.
On leaving the cave, Thor reveals he plans to travel to Kona Lifandi and get winged horses. The group say the Valkyries will never help them. Thor says that Sif will.
Balder takes Fandral's cartoon dialogue here (implying that many Valkyries are his previous lovers) so we will need to see him womanising in previous episodes, whilst seeing that he is genuinely interested in Nanna.
We cut to a Frost Sprite making their way to King Laufey of Jotunheim. They whisper to him and give him a scrap of Hogun's coat. Laufey tells his scouts to follow the scent.
Thor, Loki and the Warriors Three (Balder edition) find their path out of Jotunheim blocked by two enormous frozen guards. Realising there is no other way and with Laufey's scouts visible, they try to sneak past the sentries.
When the pursuing group call out to the guards they break out of their icy slumber and attack. Loki is separated. In trying to defend his brother, Thor foolishly draws Elderstahl. Despite the legendary weapon, the guards continue to approach. Thor swings the weapon and blasts the sentries, destroying one of them and the pass. The other falls into the abyss.
Thor is horrified. This is his first kill, it was somewhat accidental and he underestimated the power of Surtur's sword. Also, it would never have happened if he hadn't gone on the quest in the first place. He is (metaphorically) frozen in place.
Loki is sympathetic but tells him they must all leave. He thinks they should use the Bifrost. Balder says that they shouldn't confirm their Asgardian heritage. Hogun believes that ship has sailed. Balder says they can't take that chance. They leave.
The Jotun scout captain has recognised Loki (Odin's runt). He orders his men to repair the bridge and muses that two others bore resemblance to Odin's sons. He swiftly returns to Laufey and tells him that Elderstahl has been found and that he believes the sons of Odin did it on account of recognising Odin's runt.
Laufey sighs and tells General Geirmarr to prepare to march on Asgard.

Biography
Loki Laufeyson was the biological son of Laufey, King of the Frost Giants, who was abandoned and left to die shortly after his birth. Found by Odin, Loki was taken to Asgard and raised by him and Frigga as an Asgardian prince, along with Thor, becoming the Asgardian God of Mischief. When Thor was to be crowned King, Loki had sabotaged the coronation by letting the Frost Giants attack Asgard, thus leading Thor to seek vengeance on Jotunheim, which resulted in Thor's banishment to Earth and Loki finding out the truth about his heritage. Frigga gave Loki the throne when Odin had fallen into the Odinsleep; however, when the Warriors Three and Sif attempted to return Thor home, Loki was forced to try to stop them. Regardless, Thor returned from his exile on Earth and ended Loki's reign, thwarting his attempt to declare war on the Nine Realms with Jotunheim's destruction. With Odin disapproving of his actions, Loki allowed himself to fall through the deep abyss of space, entering a wormhole created by the sudden termination of the Bifrost Bridge.
Transported by the wormhole to Sanctuary, Loki encountered The Other who offered to serve under Thanos' command and gave him the Scepter. Loki was given command over the Chitauri army in order to conquer Earth, under the provision that Loki acquires the Tesseract for Thanos. Once he came to Earth, Loki managed to take possession of the Tesseract and used its power to open a wormhole above New York City and caused the Chitauri Invasion, but all of Loki's schemes were ultimately defeated by the Avengers. Thor returned him to Asgard as his prisoner, where Odin condemned him to spend the rest of his life in the Asgardian Dungeons as punishment for his crimes.
However, when Frigga was killed during the Sacking of Asgard, Loki was freed by Thor in order to defeat the Dark Elves led by Malekith who desired to use the power of the Aether to transform the universe into eternal darkness. During the fight against the Dark Elves in Svartalfheim, Loki faked his death, and, unbeknownst to everyone in the Kingdom, returned to Asgard and successfully removed Odin from the throne, taking his place as King where he remained for several years. During his reign, Loki continued to rule Asgard by sending Sif on missions to Earth to investigate the attacks of Lorelei and Vin-Tak.
Eventually, the return of Thor forced Loki to reveal his deception as the pair journeyed together to find Odin, arriving just in time to witness Odin's death. The loss of Odin allowed Hela, Odin's firstborn, to return from banishment and wage war against the Nine Realms. Loki found himself stranded at Sakaar along with Thor where Loki allied himself with the Grandmaster while Thor was forced to battle against Hulk. Despite trying to manipulate his way to freedom, Loki chose to side with Thor and the Revengers in a final battle against Hela, in which Loki summoned Surtur, who defeated Hela by causing Ragnarök and destroying all of Asgard.
During his final moments on Asgard, Loki took the Tesseract from Odin's Vault and in the wake of the Destruction of Asgard, chose to stay by his brother's side and support his ascension onto the throne. Consequences of his deal with Thanos would soon come back to haunt Loki, however, as the Mad Titan and his Black Order intercepted the Asgardians as they were making their way towards Earth. In the chaos that followed, Loki attempted to kill Thanos but ultimately failed. When Loki taunted Thanos by telling him that he would never be a god, the Mad Titan snapped his neck, finally killing the God of Mischief.
Personality
Loki was an ever-scheming individual; the God of Mischief, he meddled in people's lives and even led them to their inevitable deaths as it made him feel powerful, and often used superior ploys or ulterior designs upon his enemies, such as Thor and the Avengers. Compared to his boisterous older brother, he constantly seemed to be relaxed, peaceful and quiet, but in truth had the mind of a cold, calculating sociopath and was formulating machinations that would achieve his power and respect that he truly believed he deserves at all times. Other than that, Loki supposedly cared for Thor, consoling him after his coronation was ruined but was stated to be envious of him his entire life, although no one knew the extent of such envy until it was too late. He had a deep hatred of Odin and Thor due to supposedly being the least favored son and rejected by Thor himself all the time. Loki would do anything to mortify, defeat or hurt Thor, even enslaving the world he cared for and supposedly taking his own life.
Part of his bitterness stemmed from the fact that he was a Frost Giant and was intended as a political tool to bring peace between Asgardians and Frost Giants. As such, Loki felt alienated and guilty since he was a member of a race Asgardians were taught to fear and hate, and the people he thought were his family fibbed to him about it all his life. Growing up, Loki believed he was an actual prince of Asgard and so genuinely thought he could be king. Loki competed with Thor for Odin's favor, yet once his real parentage was revealed, Loki felt betrayed as he felt a Frost Giant as king was never a feasible possibility. And what's more, Loki felt that he was viewed as nothing more than a trophy and tool instead of an actual son by Odin despite all evidence to the contrary.
However, deep down, Loki loved his family to some degree. Though his hatred for his brother and father seemed to be unending, he did not share these feelings for his mother Frigga. Upon learning she was killed, Loki acted with madness and eliminated everything within his cell. When he got confronted by Thor in his imprisonment, he asked genuinely if she suffered as she died and was ready to work with his much-hated brother to kill Malekith. Part of this stemmed from his regret over directing Kurse to Frigga and Jane Foster and upon Svartalfheim he displayed tremendous and uncharacteristic selflessness such as risking his own life to save Foster and Thor while dying in the process. Thor even stated that Loki indeed died with honor but even this was a ruse as he has usurped the throne of Asgard and captured Odin. Despite his hatred and contempt, Loki would have expressed the desire to be Thor's equal and recognized by Odin as the worthy son. He seemed to care about the two of them to an extent, particularly Odin, calling the guards and looking on in concern when Odin collapsed on the ground, and while he was hanging onto Thor near the Bifrost, he stated that he wanted to destroy Jotunheim for him. Perhaps, he loved his family deep down as he appeared hesitant to eject Thor out of the Helicarrier, and saved Odin from being murdered by Laufey as he later stated that his death was not his goal, and did not actually kill Odin, but rather imprisoned him on Earth.
But the love he once showed and his more human emotions appeared to be significantly dulled by the time he arrived on Earth, along with the decades of built-up resentment which overshadowed any sliver of humanity Loki might retain. Despite this, however, Loki's time as king of Asgard appeared to have reduced his rivalry with and hatred for Thor and resentment for Odin, as he showed sadness and remorse for Odin's death and even showed visible care for Thor on Sakaar, asking him not to return to Asgard out of possible concern of his adopted brother dying against Hela. He was evidently angry and distraught when Thor ignored his offers to abandon Asgard and join the Grandmaster, saying emotionally that he always had to do it alone. He was also affected when Thor suggested he remain on Sakaar due to his power-hungry nature and seemed saddened when Thor said that their paths had diverged long ago. Ultimately, Loki's newfound love for his brother swayed him to help Thor evacuate the Asgardians, risk his life by personally reviving Surtur, and support Thor's coronation.
He had suppressed his desires for most of his life due to constantly living within Thor's shadow. As such he was capable of presenting himself as timid and meek when in reality he was in possession of supreme megalomaniacal ambitions which he believed he was entitled to more than anyone else, especially Thor whom he viewed as an incompetent fool who would make a terrible King in comparison to himself. As The Other stated, his desires were virtually reminiscent to that of a childish need to always be best; this also made his hatred of Thor an entirely overgrown and impractical sibling rivalry and the entirety of his actions could be intervened as purely attention-seeking, going to horrifying lengths such as the subjugation or destruction of a species, all to impress his father. Indeed, Loki's megalomaniacal desires were foiled by his true objective to stand superior over Thor and crush him completely, proving to Thor that he was his equal and his better, which was all he ever wanted.
As a master of deceit and trickery, Loki utilized his duplicitous nature within combat. Loki was also not above underhanded tactics, such as when Thor offered a hand of peace, Loki deceptively stabbed him in his side. Loki would create feints and appear like running away or surrendering if a fight turned to his disadvantage. For example, when he was at the mercy of Thor on top of the Bifrost Bridge, Loki pathetically begged for his life, yet revealed the act to be just another one of his illusion manipulations and a feint to ambush his brother. However, Loki had a flaw of being arrogant, narcissistic and was in possession of extensive delusions of self-entitlement. This led him into trouble at times as he mocked Hulk within Avengers Tower, calling him a "dull creature" which caused him to be thrashed around like a plaything by the green monster. Later, the same arrogance allowed Doctor Strange sufficient time to teleport Loki away from the New York Sanctum. This overconfidence over his deceptive talents ultimately ended up claiming his life as attempted to smooth talk Thanos into lowering his guard enough to be slain only for the Titan to easily anticipate the attack and inevitable betrayal, having always been the far better deceiver and manipulator, and kill Loki in retaliation.
He had an unfounded superiority over and deep hatred for humans, and this enforced his thinking that he was entitled to rule them; simply because he could, due to mankind's history of following people with power, Loki simply believed that they would view him as a benevolent dictator instead. Added to this, Loki firmly believed that freedom was life's great lie and that no-one was truly free and everyone was oppressed in some way. He went as far to say that humans were created only to be subjugated by superior men and that they craved to have a ruler, claiming that they would be lost and their lives effectively pointless without one to give them their identity. He mocked Thor for his compassion towards humanity and him enslaving Earth would be nothing less than a petty, spiteful attack towards his older brother.
For many years, Loki had no respect for his real heritage and would often contradict himself within this area to whatever situation would require it better. After learning that Laufey was in actuality his biological father, he did not even mention this to him on Jotunheim and later murdered him when he attempted to kill Odin. He called the Frost Giants a "race of monsters" despite already knowing that he was a member of the race himself before unleashing the full power of the Bifrost upon their planet. Effectively ending the war which Thor started and having saved Odin's life, he believed would be paraded as a hero as he apparently could not see the logic that ending an entire race would only make Odin disgust him further. Since learning that he was the son of Laufey, Loki stated that Thor was not his brother at all, ignoring the years that they grew up together entirely and threw this in his face twice. When hanging over the Bifrost, though, he referred to him as "brother", despite having previously disowned him only a few minutes earlier, though this was soon revealed to be an illusion, and another trick to use against Thor. Likewise, after being transported to Earth by the Tesseract he claimed himself as "Loki of Asgard" but on Svartalfheim before the Dark Elves, proclaimed himself "Loki of Jotunheim".
The Battle of New York traumatized Loki, since his defeats at the hands of Hulk left him terrified about the creature, to the extent of trying to leave Sakaar upon discovering that Hulk was the champion of their Contest of Champions. Despite this, Loki showed to be capable of using him, as when he, Thor and Valkyrie plotted how to get Thor out of Sakaar, Loki suggested to use Hulk. When the Statesman came under attack by Thanos, however, the two had formed enough of a partnership to improvise a coordinated attack on the Mad Titan. Indeed, Bruce Banner would later insist on referring to the New York invasion as Thanos' doing instead of Loki's, emphasizing how the two had come to terms.
Shortly after Odin died and Thor learned the truth about Hela and how Asgard really rose to power, Loki genuinely felt sympathetic towards Thor as he had just found out that everything he knew was false, much like how Loki himself did after finding out he was a Frost Giant. After the destruction of Asgard, Loki and Thor seem to have fully reconciled. However, Loki still kept some of his mischiefs as he stole the Tesseract from Odin's Vault before Asgard's destruction. Ultimately, though, seeing Thanos on the brink of killing Thor, Loki gave up the Tesseract, despite the fact that it allowed the Titan to be one step closer to conquering the universe, showing his love for his brother had now far surpassed any desire for power that Loki had, but another reason Loki did so, was an attempt to assassinate Thanos. Unfortunately for Loki, Thanos easily anticipated this and killed him.
An often remarked flaw of Loki's was that he not only lacked conviction but often failed to appreciate the long term consequences his actions might have as stated by Phil Coulson and Iron Man shortly before the Battle of New York. This was seen again following his usurping of Odin's throne as his decadent leadership caused most of the Nine Realms to fall into chaos and unintentionally precipitated Hela's release. This period of total power had also given him a sense of complacency to the point where most everyone he came across had come to anticipate all of his potential tricks and betrayals. Indeed, Thor openly mocking this attitude was a deciding factor in Loki's decision to reform his ways and genuinely aid his people.
In the final moments of his life, Loki displayed that he truly came to accept both his Asgardian heritage and his Frost Giant parentage, proudly identifying himself as "Odinson" and the "rightful king of Jotunheim". Though having lived in fear of Thanos since their first meeting, Loki selflessly attempted to slay the Titan in spite of his power and entourage, showing he had truly redeemed himself. When Thanos effortlessly parried the attack and began choking Loki to death, Loki not only accepted his fate but remained openly defiant, ridiculing Thanos that he would never achieve true godhood. In the end, Loki died doing what many believed he would never do: display open care for others and reconcile with and accept his lineage.

"My love, yes I am certain, first of all you prefer this form, and now, That I've seen you walk around here all day with parts of you Jotun. It doesn't bother you, why should it bother me?"
"Well I didn't grow up with the fairy tales about Frost Giants, and honestly I keep forgetting that part of my face and arm are blue. Loki stopped taking her hands in his "I am certain, it's almost easier to just accept myself the way I am. I also see it through your eyes. You see the beauty in the horror, the good in the evil, most important you see the real me regardless of what I try to show you. I see the love in your eyes, and actions that transcend any doubt I may have, I love you. Now let's go find Thor."
"Always a way with words my Prince" they arrived at Thor's door. At the knock he bade them in.
"What news have you from Jotunheim?" Loki asked
"I have secured an audience with King Laufey for you both. He advised to come when you see fit, and when you arrive he will have someone escort you to the palace. He also said you may stay as long as you wish. He still hopes to show you his kingdom. So I'd plan at least a week there if I were you. Also I found that I am not popular there as I am here on Midgard."
"Thank you brother, we will most likely leave sometime tomorrow, I have to figure out what my wife will need while we are there."
"Loki, perhaps you are not aware, but your glamour is not working."
"After growing to my full height in the Frost Giant room Tony had added.... I realized that I may be more comfortable being me. So we agreed that while in the tower with just us and the shield agents I shall remain without the glamour, just to see how it feels."
"Brother that is wonderful. Eva how are you feeling?"
"Fine, just exhausted from the experiments on my Ice Breath. And thank you for working out the details of our visit to Jotunheim Thor."
"You are both most welcome. I also spoke with Mother, when Heimdall sends you to Jotunheim, he will send her along shortly after."
"Again thanks Thor,"turning to Loki "we should go and figure what we will need for our trip."
They stopped in their room and grabbed the book Loki wanted and went to the library, knowing as usual it would be deserted, allowing them a place to read and discuss going to Jotunheim. They settled on the couch, Loki sitting with Eva's head on his lap. Cupping her cheek with his hand his thumb gravitated to the Jotun skin.  They each read for a while. Eva put her book to the side. "Do you think I'm going to be cold there? Or acclimate to the coldness?"
"Well, when I picked you up, did I feel cold to you?"
"No, you were kinda warm to the touch."
"Well I shall dress you in furs and robes, keeping you warm if you need it, or remove as necessary. But based on what you felt, I fear you may acclimate to the weather on Jotunheim. Which can lead to a new set of difficulties. But we shall cross that bridge when and if we get there."
"Are you worried about the skin or the ice breath?"
"If it were anyone else, yes I would be worried, but you my Beloved, are resilient and very adaptable."
The door creaked open, Eva and Loki looked at each other. 'Who's that?' She asked. 'Move for a few moments and I will check'
Loki got up and started towards the door. "Loki? Hey I guess you're alone, do you know where Eva is?" The voice was the low baritone of Stephen.
"She's around, anything I can help you with?"
"Yeah, if I don't find her let her know Klienfelds called and Tony had his assistant make her the next appointment, her dress should be ready for trying on in 3 weeks, and the girls are set with a new appointment for tomorrow afternoon for their dresses."
"I'll let her know, but she won't be able to go with them we leave for Jotunheim after dinner tonight. Or perhaps in the morning, we haven’t decided just yet.”
"I'll go with them that's not a problem. They know you both have to make this trip to help her."
"Brother, wow it's weird calling somebody other than Thor that, thank you, you're making this as easy as possible on her. And that means the world to both of us."
"Let her know if she needs me I'll be at home."
"I will"
Stephen left the library and Loki went back to her. "My Darling, we should go back to our room to get you ready for the trip."
"Fine, but I think we both need a nap." She smiled.
"As you wish Princess. Let's go."
Back in their room Loki set to conjuring warm clothes for her. He dressed her in her Asgardian court attire but lined with fur. And finished with a long blue hooded cape that was lined and edged with white fur it also had slits to accommodate her wings.
"How do you like it?"
"Gods it's hot, but I guess it’s what I should need there, but we’ll have to wait and see.. for now let’s get that nap in, I miss your arms around me."
After dinner Tony, Clint and Bucky walked them out to the helipad to be whisked away by  the Bifrost.  Tony gave her a hug and a kiss to the cheek. Clint and Bucky also gave her hugs and reminded her to be safe and stick with Loki. They stood back as Loki took his full form kneeled and put his hands on her shoulders. "Heimdall, please send Eva and I to Jotunheim." Loki called out. As the Bifrost began to take them Loki whispered "know that I am always with you, I love you."
And for the first time she responded "I love you more."
As the lights dimmed Eva looked around, and realized that she could indeed see better with her right eye. "Darling, do you want me to carry you or do you want to fly? Our escort is arriving."
"For now I'd like to fly."

Only the anchestors keeping watch over you would know just how long you had been resting until your body was eventually able to move again.
As you looked around, you found several pairs of glowing red eyes observing every one of your moves, clashing with the otherwise darkness around you.
You bolted in an upright position, chest waving heavily as your breath was forming a cold mist. Much to your surprise, you were covered in warm furs.
“Worry not” one of them spoke, their body almost inseparable from the icy cave you apparently resided in. “We are a warrior tribe, not warmongers. What do we gain from killing a weak Asgardian noblewoman and their child?”
“Where is he?!” you choked on your own sob, only able to calm down when yet another giant handed the small bundle into your arms. 
They seemed to have cared for him while you were unable to, having fed and cleaned the small boy who was still impossible to distinguish from those powerful giants.
“What is his name?” A female of them seeked to know.
You stopped in your tracks at her question. Everything happened so fast, there was no time to think about it until now.
“His...his name is...L-Liam*. Liam Lokison.” The unintended alliteration made you smile. Yes, this was a formidable name for such a little fighter.
“Loki, you say?” A row, deep voice drang to your ears, huffing at hearing the name of your husband.
It is him again - Laufey.
Initially, you wanted to express your gratitude for his benevolent hospitality, but concluded it would be better to not interrupt.
“Loki, you say?” he repeated the name, tone laced with venom pumping through his heart. “That pathetic excuse of a Jotunn?”
What in hel did he just say?!
“No wonder that crossbreed of yours is so pathetically tiny.” Laufey would now eye his grandson with great fascination, even though adverse. “A disgrace, just like his father.”
“Wha- what in the realms are you...talking about?”
You took in a sharp breath,pulling the child deeper into your arms and away from his wary eyes.
The king could only laugh at your attempts, finding this farce absolutely amusing.
“Hilarious”, he scoffed, “I take from your reaction that Odin is still the old, pathological liar.”
The Allfather had expected you to die in this environment before you’d ever find out the truth, and even if not - Odin thought Laufey to be wildly ashamed of his son, and he would never admit that this freak was his child.
And that was where he was wrong.
“He still didn’t tell any of you?” The Jötunn thought back to that day of indescribable loss. First and foremost the war with Asgard and them taking away his power, together with the Cascet of Ancient Winters - and then...
“The man you call the God of Mischief was born on Jotunheim, as Laufeyson” he declared, and the following words made your heart clench dreadfully. “For whyever I deserved such misfortune, my firstborn came into this world as a failure.”
“Our world is harsh and unforgiving” Laufey continued and apparently, none of the folk seemed surprised. “It is an act of mercy to erase the weakest of our kind, since they wouldn’t survive either way.”
“Lies” you hissed - but the proof was right there, in your arms. “You are lying!”
However, deep inside, you already knew that his words were true.
Why?
Not minding the surrounding giants, you began crying from all the weight on your heart - mourning over the fate of your lover.
From his very first day, Loki Laufeyson was doomed. His only birthright was failure, exclusion and resentment, with death’s grip constantly at his throat.
“Then-” Connecting the dots, fear overcame your system. “Why did you help me?”
“Too much blood of Asgardians and Jotunns had been shed.”
Now that you thought of it, they had saved you - cared for Liam, even. Neither had they left you to die, nor tried to harm you or the child in any way.
Odin was really the greatest liar in all of history - for there were no monsters in Jotunnheim. Only a different race of people.
“I have stained my own hands in countless battles against your kind. But we are in dire need of peace, Y/N of Asgard. And your child could be the key.”
Anger began boiling inside of you, thoughts still revolving around how Loki had been lied to for all those years - and for what? Diplomacy? Using him like a tool, to control the Jötunn?
“Loki is Asgardian just as much as you are.” Somehow, the king almost sounded pained at the revelation. “He is unaware of his heritage, taught to despise us from childhood on. There is no way he would connect our two cultures with how much hatred he bears in his heart.”
At first, you felt close to passing out once again - the emotional exhaustion being way worse than what your body could take.
Those past two days were just too much for you: Liam’s birth, his genes, being cast out by your own people - and now, knowing that Loki had been lied to and used, even might be in danger at the hands of his own father?!
“So, you want me to...raise him here?” The thought alone made your insides churn, thinking back to your homeland. “I think I have to decline that generous offer.”
“No, not like that.” Laufey slowly approached both of you, wary to not touch your skin in any way. He signalized the want to touch his grandson, and you allowed it.
Of course, in a primal tribe like that, showing weakness was unforgiveable - especially if you were the king.
Yet you couldn’t really describe why, but somehow you knew that Laufey wasn’t as heartless as it appeared to be. Maybe, back then, he really thought his decision to be best - but now?
Everything you could decipher in his orbs as he touched Loki’s child was remorse, yearning and guilt. The loss of his firstborn was still present in his heart, aware that even though alive, they had grown apart from each other beyond repair.
“You need sunlight and warmth to survive.” Homesickness could also kill you, you knew that much. “We only ask of you for visits during his upbringing, so he can learn our ways and traditions. See both sides of the coin.”
A bridge between worlds, huh?
On the one hand, it was a huge responsibility you would burden on your child - yet you knew that at least learning about his heritage was his birthright.
Never you would allow yourself to dwell on comfortable lies like Odin, just because you didn’t want to be condemned for the past!
You would save Loki, as well as ensure this wonderful child’s future!
“Laufey, my king and inlaw, so it shall be. This child is now part of your tribe, as much as it is Asgardian.”

[Several weeks later]
“To what do I owe the pleasure?”
Laufey looked down on the Asgardian prince, standing in front of the gates of the Jotunn village.
“I demand on seeing my wife, you dull creatures!” Loki materialized a dagger, threatening to throw it right into the Jötunn’s eye. “Whatever you’ve done to her, I will repay a thousand times!”
Unimpressed, Laufey spoke “I see Odin has taught you his manners. Violent, hotheaded and selfish. No wonder she did not stay with you.”
“I ask you this one last time: Where. Is. Y/N?!”
Without any second thought, the God of Mischief had left in secret, facing the giants all alone without help of his brother or soldiers.
Because your husband was devastated beyond relief.
Without you at his side, the half-god had completely lost his way. All this time since he thought you dead, nothing could save Loki from his own mind.
For weeks, he wouldn’t leave his chambers, sitting in the dark for hour after hour without nourishing his body in the slightest.
He was haunted by how your belongings reminded him of those blissful days of your marriage. Your scent was still present on those now empty bedsheets, fogging his mind and keeping him from much-needed sleep.

The only matter he busied himself with aside from screaming and crying until his throat went sore, were the thoughts of what could be:
Knowing himself responsible for your imminent demise was eating him alive - even if that child wasn’t his, if only he didn’t rush things and would’ve let some time pass, to become clear-headed again as he was now.
Would Loki be able to forgive you and live on, overcome this hardships like so many before?
Most certainly! Because he needed you at his side, more than anything else.
Loki Odinson couldn’t live without the light of his life.
And if there was even the slightest chance of you still being alive, he would claim what was his and start anew.
“Loki, your eyes are wide open, and yet you don’t seem to see the full picture.”
When Laufey refused to descend to the entrance, Loki would immediately teleport himself towards the giant, blade aiming at his throat. “You will answer to your crimes, monster!”
The king was able to repel the attack by grabbing the god’s wrist - yet instead of the incoming pain Loki was expecting, merely his clothing froze into crumbles...
...and his limb turned in a shade of dark blue.
“You’ve grown strong, my son.”

thor’s stupid smile makes an appearance after he gets called a princess and decides to fight a whole realm over it. you know what? thor is a princess. he’s the prettiest princess in all the lands. what’s thor gonna do about it? is he going to fight me too? THIS is the iconic Thor moment that makes my day whenever I think about it. Just Thor, an absolute bumbering 6′6′’ giant boodlusting dummy sees Odin and just decides to yell “FATHAA!! WE’LL FINISH THEM TOGETHAAA!” as if the last thing Odin told him wasn’t “no, thor, we’re not going to do anything to the frost giants, do not go after them and try to kill them all.” 11/10 d*mb*assery right here folks, I couldn’t ask for Thor to be more of a fool. This is PEAK Thor energy. Look at that face. I feel like Thor spends half this movie with his nostrils flared. I love it.

okay i gotta give thor credit for rightfully calling odin “an old man and a fool” but also there was not even 1 frame of the scene where Thor had a decent face so now all i see is >:O >:| >:o >:[ when i watch that scene. yelling at odin was great, not yelling at odin after he HUAERGHed at loki was less great, but to be fair it’s thor and he is the definition of Peak D*mb*ss.

just a quick recap but thor was knocked unconscious by a van and these people kidnapped him aboard and the next scene we see him in he’s checking himself out in  mirror after presumably changing right there in the open?????? these are the things that make thor thor. any other character and i’d question it so much, but this is thor, and i truly believe this is in-character for him. just change in the open because why not? thor is a beefcake and that’s his only redeeming quality and he knows it. 10/10 thor moment.

Jane’s response makes so much more sense now; she’s laughs for a solid 3 seconds and shakes her head and is like “uhh, thank you? ahaha,” and then she keeps looking back longingly when walking away. they are doing this in PLAIN sight of EVERYONE. Darcy and Erik are standing RIGHT THERE, and Thor is doing weird things to her with his mouth. I’m out. I am done here. goodbye.

return of the stupid smile AND the douche smile in quick succession through the entire trip. their entire dialogue is peppered with innuendo. “I’ve never done anything like this before. have you ever done anything like this before?” “many times, but you are brave to do it.” “I have nothing else to lose.” “ah but you are clever, far more clever than anyone else on this realm.” “realm? rEaLm?” “you think me strange?” “yes” “good strange or bad strange?” “I haven’t decided yet.” I AM DYING OVER THIS. plus, we get Return Of The Himbo with Jane asking after Einstein Rosen bridges and Thor is like “uh, actually, more like a rainbow bridge 😜🤪” i feel so sorry for jane here, didn’t know how much of a d*mb*ss Thor was when signing up for this van-trip and knuckle-sucking 😭😭😭 i also no longer have questions about how the trip that SHOULD HAVE BEEN A HALF-HOUR ONE turned into one that LASTED TILL THE SUN WENT FROM THE MIDDLE OF THE SKY TO SETTING by the time they arrived. I have no questions. please. I don’t want to know what they were doing in that van. please no. don’t make me think about it.

I swear i’m not making up this romantic subtext but it’s barely even subtext. the entire scene leading up to Thor’s attempt at lifting the hammer is actually filmed erotically. I’m not kidding. First there’s a shot where Thor pulls aside a hamster-cage-wall blind which mirrors a shower-curtain, and THEN he walks around the hammer while smiling douche-ly at it, we get a few close-ups to his face which are shot from angles slightly lower than himself, giving him an aire of superiority, plus the music adds to this, he reaches out for the hammer’s handle with a mud-covered arm in the rain, in non-slow-motion slow-motion, and he wraps his arm around it, like, he fully twists his arm, unecessarily sexually, around it as he grabs the hammer. This is not okay. On the plus side, it makes the movie much more entertaining,, on the down side,,.

im not going to call Thor dumb for not knowing he’s not worthy. im not going to. because odin literally whispered the enchantment to mjolnir after he’d thrown thor to midgard. it is very funny watching thor grunt in frustration though. he starts yelling because he couldn’t lift the hammer and just lets himself get caught. like, dude, get a life, go buy a new weapon from the store, seriously. he mourns for the hammer on-screen longer than he does for loki. he also looks like he’s in far more pain here. he becomes catatonic and unresponsive after this, but when loki dies he’s already feasting the same afternoon. 10/10 dum dum thor material. never change thor, never change. thor trying to establish dominance wherever he goes is the funniest thing because at this point he’s being a complete asgardian *ss about it and it’s reaching points of pettiness never seen before. side note: he is possibly flirting with selvig too. maybe. i’m not saying anything happened, but Thor’s openning lines when bringing him home carried over his shoulder are “he’s fine, not injured at all,” followed with an apology to selvig, and an explanation to jane which consisted only of “we drank, we fought, he made his ancestors proud,” and then he puts the man to bed and before he falls asleep erik says “i still don’t believe you’re the g*d of th*nder, but you ought to be,” so... your choice, i guess...

thor’s got his trademark stupid smile and stupidly takes jane’s life’s work notebook and starts doodling in it about trees. the last time his father told him this story about Yggdrasil was when he was 5 and he clearly hasn’t payed attention to any lesson about anything since and it shows so so much. thank you thor. very insightful knowledge you’re passing on hear. ‘i come from a world where [science and magic] are one and the same,’ ok great, now elaborate on that please. oh, right, you can’t because you’re thor, my bad, 20/10 thor behaviour. he couldn’t even doodle nicely. all his lines are wobbly. epic art fail. i wouldn’t trust him near my sketchbook with a 2B pencil.

I can NOT describe the emotions I feel knowing that Thor is suck-kissing Jane’s knuckles. Like, his mouth is literally jelly-ing it up against her hand. There is suction there and it shows when he is placing and removing his mouth. I promise that’s what is happening. I’m not any happier than you about this. I regret everything. This is why Loki should be what is focused on and not Thor; Thor’s going around trying to frick frack everything in sight even if it’s just Jane’s hand. He’s maintaining eye contact with Jane while he licks her fingers. Why did I decide to rewatch this movie.

i’m only adding this in as a thor moment because of how desperately and badly they kiss. seriously. 2/10 kiss. im not surprised jane broke up with him. they look like two actual seals fighting over an actual grape. while i’m here i’m going to criticize every fic ever that decided thor is an experienced gentle lover. what were y’all on when watching this movie. thor can and will f*ck literally everything in sight and he won’t even do it well because he is the peakest of peak d*m d*m. look at this man. look at his face. that is the face of an absolute himbo idiot, and it’s the face of an absolute himbo idiot who knows it. he’s been stranded on earth for 2 days, max, and his flirt-count is at 69 people because his name is one letter away from thot. i bet his terrible use of a pen from early means he writes his ‘r’s like ‘t’s and he doesn’t even care. 1000/10 thor moment. doesn’t get much more romance-thor than two individuals smooshing their faces together after some finger sucking. that finger sucking is gonna leave jane simping for years. and that’s true love babey. <3

“you can’t kill an entire race!!!!” Thor yells, teeth gritted, as he faces his brother, his coward pacifist brother, who has suddenly decided he wants to join the age-old family tradition of realm-destroying, when this is supposed to be Thor’s dream, Thor’s, not Loki’s. How dare he, Thor thinks to himself, fist clenched around Mjolnir in anger, the pain of the handle pressing against his palm perhaps the only thing preventing him from lashing out at this thought, that’s my planet of monsters to slay, he should go get his own! Loki hits Thor across the face with the back-end of his spear. “Now fight me,” Loki says, but Thor, well, Thor cannot fight, as he remains stunned that of all things Loki would dare steal his life’s ambition, and he is sent sprawling backwards across the observatory, slowly but surely sliding to a stop despite his catatonic, very symbolic silence.

Part 1 - Encounter

Hello ! I was thinking about me doing something for the males out there, that may like a fanfiction with themselves and the mischievous god. So why not be nice ? Enjoy the story. Loki is my own picture the owner of the other picture I couldn't find but still, credit to the one who made it. (If such a story already exists, tell me about it.)
No one’s POV...
The Avengers, even if they didn't call themselves that for now, sat all on one table, thinking of where the Tesseract could be. Loki was getting watched by Agent Coulson, so everything was safe and sound.
"We need to find that damn Tesseract.", Tony said.
"We know, but Loki won't tell us and Bruce needs a while to track it.", Natasha replied.
"All we can do is wait...", Steve told them.
"I still can't believe it, that my brother would do something like this. There must be a reason...", Thor said deep in thoughts.
"And that would be ?", Fury asked Thor.
"Loki disappeared 2 years ago from Asgard and is now back....pure evil in the flesh..."
"Where was he those 2 years ?", Tony asked Thor.
"I don't know. Nobody does. Heimdall never saw Loki again. We all thought that he died, he and I fought and I destroyed the rainbow bridge with the Bifrost, because Loki wanted to erase the realm, named Jotunheim. Lokis true birthplace. We all got teached that Frost Giants are monsters and have to be killed, that was what Loki tried, but he was determined with anger and self disgust. After that he wanted father to accept him, but he still didn't and Loki let go and fell into an abyss. Until then...we never saw him again. Now he is back and...tries to conquer Midgard. Something must have happened to him back then. This doesn't fit Loki at all. He is always for mischief, but not for..."
"Death, war and destruction.", Fury ended Thor’s sentence.
"You may be right Thor. Maybe there really happened something to him and he knows more than he lets on.", Natasha agreed.
"Wait ! Did you just say that Loki wanted your father to accept him but still didn't ? He never accepted Loki at all ?", Tony asked Thor flabbergasted.
Thor nodded.
"Yes it is true. Father always praised me, but never Loki. He never showed Loki love, but me. He was angered by it, I guess. Mother always showed Loki and me equal love, but he was jealous about that. He wanted Mother for himself. I parted ways with Loki and was terrible with him. I always put my shadow over him and he...was hated in Asgard. Everyone paid Loki no mind. My friends weren't nice to Loki either. I always talked Loki down with father and my friends. I guess that was the reason he was trying to kill me on Midgard with my friends, he didn't want me back there to continue my attitude with him. I was very arrogant back then."
"Wow...You had no idea how to treat your little brother. As a big brother, you had always just one job. Be an amazing brother. You weren't even close on it.", Tony said angry.
"You should have protected him, cared for him, loved him, be there for him no matter how much he doesn't want it, safe him from punishment by taking the guilt on your shoulders, you should have been nice to him ! Appreciated him !", Tony continued.
Thor looked down in shame.
"I know now...", he whispered.
"Did you ever properly apologize yourself by him ?", Natasha asked.
Thor shook his head. All the people, besides Nick Fury, dropped their mouth open in shock.
"You really are the worst.", Natasha told Thor.
Meanwhile somewhere else...
"Boss ?"
"Yes ?", the boss replied.
"They have Loki and the scepter."
"Shall we open a portal so you and a few others can accomplish the mission ?", another one asked.
"Yes. It is now or never."
They nodded and programmed the location in the teleporter. The boss turned on the speaker in his hide out.
"Wolf, Ice cube, Flexica, Fox, Tiger and Eel. To the teleporter room. We start the mission Loki in 10 minutes. Be ready and suit yourselves as best as you can. We won't kill, just knock out. I will be seeing you."
After ten minutes there were masked people in the room. One with a wolf mask, the other a fox mask, the other had a mask of an eel on, the next one of a tiger, the other had a mask of a blue face and the last one had a purple colored mask on. Their boss had a black and gold mask on its face.
"Activate the portal.", the boss said.
In less than 10 seconds the portal got opened. The 7 people went inside and the portal closed itself.
On the Helicarrier...
They were in a broom closet. The leader opened the door and looked outside...nobody was there. They all went out. The leader turned around and looked at the others.
"Alright...I will run straight to Lokis prison cell, steal what I need on the way there and get him out and then get the scepter. You make yourselves invisible and in the worst part, you will knock everyone out on our way to the scepter and then back to the broom closet. If nothing works...code 2 and you go without us back, and get the whole team here, to rescue us. We planned it all for days, don't disappoint me."
They all nodded at that.
"Good. I count on you. Go, go, go !"
And with that they disappeared and the masked leader ran straight foreward, making itself invisible, as he saw one camera. He stole from some SHIELD people the identity cards, codes and keys. Then he reached his destination. He let one card of these agents scan and the doors opened.
Loki looked up, but didn't see anyone. He almost thought that he was going nuts, but the door just then closed itself again. He looked at it strangely. He felt watched even more, he looked at one camera, but it was turned off. He looked at it a very long while, the light didn't blink anymore. He looked around...not one camera was on...strange. Suddenly someone in a mask stood on the control pult. The mask stared at Loki. Loki felt a little bit uncomfortable, but played it off with an arrogant smile.
"And who may you be ?", Loki asked.
"Your little helper, after I found and pressed the right button.", the masked person answered.
Loki laughed now.
"I don't need help from someone like you, also I don't wish to die today."
"Did you know that they are tracking down the Tesseract ?", the masked person asked Loki smugly.
Loki lost his smile.
"No I didn't...", Loki answered.
"They do it with the help of Gamma radiation, something the Tesseract has plenty of."
Loki looked at the person surprised. It shrugged.
"I do my homework in very good care. Now let me get you out. You have to summon the Tesseract, give it to me and I will make the Gamma radiation disappear. Your scepter is the next object and you have to stay hidden for a few days. Believe me, I know what I am talking about, Loki. I am in the same situations all the time."
Loki was thinking about it, if that person knows all that, then he should probably listen to him/her. He looked at the person determined and nodded.
"Okay...let me see...", the person mumbled.
After a minute the person huffs and went to the glass.
"Tell me why I should not break the glass...", it said.
"If you do that, this cage is falling down, with me in it."
The person groans and went back.
"There are many buttons. I have no idea what to fucking press ! It could be any fucking button !"
The person was very angered, it amused Loki.
"Tanni analyze that thing and open that fucking cage door. I am sick of that fucking control panel in front of me.", the person growled.
A blue light was to be seen and it scanned the panel, then the cage.
"Hacking in process...Hacking finished in 3...2...1...finished.", a voice said.
As the word 'finished' was spoken, the glass door opened and Loki stepped out of it. He went to the masked person.
"Thank you.", Loki said.
"No problem at all. I will take you in with me. You can't stay in New York. They will search for you and find you. We have to be far away from here."
Loki nodded after 1 minute. The masked person took Loki's hand and dragged him out of the room. Some agents were running in that room, 10 seconds later.
"Why didn't they attack us ?", Loki whispered.
"We are invisible. Now hush or they will find us."
"Okay..."
After some time they were outside of the lab, sadly Tony and Bruce were inside it, experimenting on the scepter.
"Fuck...", the masked person whispered.
"What is it ?"
"Bruce and Tony are experimenting on your scepter right now...if we go get it now, we are dead. And before you say, let's kill them, no. If we kill someone now, then they will set everything on it to find us and we will be safe nowhere. So hands off of killing people. I don't wish to mess with your not-by-blood-brother, Thor. I am not armored for that."
Loki hesitated at first but after a sigh he agreed with the person, for now. The masked person pulled out a Walkie Talkie and spoke into it quietly.
"Alpha on guys. Guys can you read me ?"
Silence...Then.
"We read you Alpha. What is it ? Where are you ?"
"I have the target person but the object is being watched and experimented on by non other than Hulk and Iron Man. I need help, now."
After 5 seconds...
"Roger that. Flexica, Eel and Tiger are on their way to your destination, Alpha. The rest is already knocking the way free. Over."
"I read that, be careful, Over."
They waited for 2 minutes then they saw the three people they were waiting for running to them.
"We came as fast as we could...", Tiger whispered.
"I thank you for that. Flexica, can you get the scepter, without any problems, exchanged with a faked one ?"
Flexica nodded.
"I can.", she answered.
"Good. Here is the faked one. Good luck. If someone can do it then it is you. I am counting on you. We go inside and knock something, close to Tony and Bruce over, so they will be distracted, then Flexica will exchange the scepter with the faked one and we leave. If it doesn't work and we get caught, knock them out cold and we run with the scepter. Got it ?"
They all nodded.
"Good, then let’s do this shit."
And with that they crept inside the lab, Loki staying behind.
"Can you believe it ? Thor was a Meanie. No wonder Loki became what he is now.", Tony said.
"Tony...did you not pay attention ?", Bruce asked him.
They all stopped and the masked leader looked at Bruce and Tony, listening.
"To what ? What do you mean ?"
"Thor said Loki let go and fell into an abyss, but not with that scepter. He fell into his 'death' without any weapon on himself, maybe a dagger but nothing else. Who gave it to him ?"
Tony was silent.
"You think someone did something to Loki ?"
"I am not sure...But I have a feeling that something bad happened to him and that may have changed him into this..."
"Monster ?"
"No. ....Broken man. His past wasn't the best. It was like...everything that is the worst...was coming for him since the beginning and it gets even more dark."
"It is a test. Someone tests his determination and being. Do you mean that ?"
"Yes. And it destroys him bit by bit."
"Damn...that is actually a very good thought."
"Maybe Loki wasn't trying to kill Thor at all, but to teach him a lesson and..."
"Change him...", they both said at the same time.
Suddenly a glass fell over at Tony's side. Tiger pushed the glass down.
"Oops...", Tony said.
He got down to collect the pieces. Bruce went to help. They didn't realize that someone exchanged the scepters.
"But why should Reindeer Games bother with that ?"
"As you went out with the others I asked Thor why Loki just then reacted and it was clear for me after he told me."
"What did he tell you ?"
"He reacted that fast to stop Thor's coronation. An ignorant, arrogant, war demanding prince on the throne ? That would have been pure chaos. Loki wanted Odin to see that and did what everyone would have done. Dance with the devil. He brought Jotuns, better Frost Giants, into Asgard to stop Thor's coronation and to prove to Odin that he wasn't ready. And it worked. The only thing Loki didn't plan was that Thor declared war against Jotunheim and he himself was a Jotun. Tony...put the pieces together !"
"He wanted to help Thor and change him to a caring man. He wanted him to be a good king and brother. He wanted to punish Thor, so he learns how it made him feel to always be the bad guy, even if he wasn't."
"Exactly. And Thor still doesn't get it."
"Like Odin."
"Yes. And whatever happened after Loki's fall...made him go crazy and become an evil serial killer."
"But he can change again."
"If someone will guide him correctly...then yes."
'And that will be me. Don't worry soon-to-be Avengers.', The masked leader thought then left.
"We have to tell the others our knowledge."
"Later. Not now."
That was the last thing he heard, suddenly the alarm went off. Tony and Bruce ran out of the lab.
"What is going on ?!", Tony called.
"Loki escaped !", Natasha yelled.
"WHAT ?!", Bruce and Tony screamed.
"Someone, maybe Loki, deactivated the cameras and as we came in, the door was open and Loki was missing ! We have to find him, he can't be far !", Steve yelled.
With that the masked people pulled Loki on his arm and ran back to the broom closet. They saw Thor running to Loki's cell.
"Loki ?! LOKI !", he yelled.
They continued to run and finally they reached the broom closet. They all ran into it and the leader swung the closet door close.
"Is anyone missing ?", the leader asked.
"I am here.", Flexica said.
"So am I with Loki and Eel.", Tiger informed them.
"Wolf and I were here the whole time, watching the broom closet.", Fox answered.
"Where is Ice cube ?"
"Right here.", Fox said pointing next to him, to an empty spot.
"Oh no...", Tiger mumbled.
"Where the hell did he go ?!", Flexica asked angered.
Suddenly someone knocked on the door. The masked person waited until they knocked again. They did and he kicked the door open with much force. On the ground laid a groaning Ice cube.
"Oww...", it said.
"Ice cube what the hell ?!", Flexica screamed.
"Silence !", the leader hissed.
"Too late. Hand Loki over.", Natasha growled, holding a gun and pointing at the leader.
"Never, Romanoff.", the leader snarled.
"I would recommend that you do, you are circled.", a voice said from behind.
Wolf turned around.
"Shit. The rest is here... Steve, Stark, Bruce, Odinson...Boss we are dead.", Wolf said.
"Pull out your guns in light speed and shoot at them, then run into the broom closet.", whispered the leader, just for them to hear.
"I don't care how many of you are there and what you recommend and what not ! I am not someone who likes commands ! Now outta my way or else you will regret it !", the leader yelled angered.
"Well that is sad...And I thought that we can talk in peace.", Natasha said.
"Now !", the leader yelled.
In light speed they pulled out their guns, shot and then were in the closet. The leader pushed Loki at first inside it. All of the Avengers had big eyes of shock and then fell down, sleeping safe and sound.
"Open the portal, now !"
It opened immediately. They stepped through it and ended up in the hide out they came from.
"Welcome to my home, Loki."

Warnings:  angst and canon typical violence (basically this is the thor movie from someone else’s perspective)
Synopsis:  Sometimes at odds, sometimes friends, sometimes lovers, Loki and Svana share a bond that stretches millennia and few truly understand.  This is their story.

Chapter 11
Svana retired to bed alone that night, knowing that Loki had further plans.  She knew he was to spend time with his mother at Odin’s side playing the dutiful son.  She knew he would return to Jotunheim and speak to Laufey.  He had told her so much of what he had planned.  How he was going to make it look like Laufey was planning to murder Odin, only to save the old king last minute and earn his spot as Odin’s most trusted son.
Svana wasn’t completely on board with that part of the plan, but she figured the worst that could happen would be that Laufey was successful in his attempt and she would never have to worry about Odin again.  Her role, for now, was minor.
So while she slept Loki put things into play.  He visited with his mother for a while and then went to Jotunheim and tempted Laufey with the offer of eight of the realms.  Upon his return, he was accosted by Heimdall.  Heimdall, always suspicious of Odin’s youngest son, yet even he was subdued with a few words.
While Heimdall was always suspicious of Loki, the same went in the other direction, so Loki watched the bridge from one of the palace balconies.  When he saw the Bifrost open he knew he needed to act.  He rushed to the treasure room and collected the casket of ancient winters before meeting Heimdall on the bridge.
The seer was standing outside waiting for him.
“Tell me, Loki, how did you get the Jotuns into Asgard?” Heimdall asked.
“You think the Bifrost is the only way in and out of this realm?” Loki sneered.  “There are secret paths between the worlds to which even you, with all your gifts, are blind. But I have need of them no longer, now that I am king. And I say, for your act of treason, you are relieved of your duties as Gatekeeper, and no longer citizen of Asgard.”
“Then I need no longer obey you,” Heimdall said impassively, and lunged at Loki, swinging his sword in a long sweep aimed at the trickster’s throat.
Loki pulled the casket from the shadow dimension and opened it, releasing its powers onto Heimdall, freezing him in place.  He vanished the casket again and began striding off toward the palace. With Sif and the warriors three on Midgard, he was going to need to be more proactive about keeping Thor there.
He wished that Svana was with him to discuss what to do next.  He hated the idea of hurting his brother, but the only way he could see to make sure this all worked out for him was to send the destroyer after him.  Perhaps if Svana was awake she could perform a binding spell, but even that would not buy him the kind of time he needed.  He’d have to do it, and hopefully, his brother would be smart enough to stand down.
He summoned the mystic armor that had been built to kill gods and immortals using Gungnir and pressed on it his desire to have Thor’s surrender.  As it went to Midgard to carry out his orders, Loki began to scheme.  Things weren’t quite going to plan and he needed to adjust things to make sure they still did.  As he reached the throne room he was just resigning himself to waking Svana and asking for her help, when he felt the hit from Mjolnir striking the Destroyer.
He turned and in his anger sent out the will to kill Thor.  It was rash and came from his frustration, but he knew that if Thor did survive he would do whatever he could to get back here and stop this, and Loki needed to succeed.  He needed Odin to say he was wrong and that Loki should be king.
“Go wake the lady Svana,” Loki said to one of his guards as he swept past him.  “Tell her her king needs her.”
He rushed back to the Himinbjorg to retrieve Laufey and finish this once and for all.

Svana woke, startled by the banging on her door.  She got up and pulled on a robe, answering with her brow furrowed.  “What is it?  Has something happened?”
“I was just told to wake you, you will have to speak to him yourself,” the guard said.
She shut the door and went and changed as quickly as she could before heading down to find Loki.  There was no sign of him in the throne room and Svana wasn’t sure where she should go to find him.  She wondered if this was a bedroom summons and went to the wing that housed the royal’s chambers.  She knocked on his door and when there was no answer she let herself in.  His bed looked undisturbed and Svana furrowed her brow as she considered what to do next.
There was a loud explosion from further down the hall and Svana ran in the direction of it, only to be passed by Thor, Mjolnir in hand.  She stopped in confusion for a moment before hurrying after him.  She arrived at Odin’s chambers mid-argument between Thor and Loki.  Frigga was embracing Thor while a frost giant lying dead on the floor and Odin continued to slumber.
“Why don't you tell her how you sent the Destroyer to kill our friends, to kill me?”  Thor snarled at Loki as he pulled away from his mother.
Svana froze in place.  She had agreed to help make Loki king, but she hadn’t agreed to kill Thor.  He shouldn’t be king, but he was good at heart and had always treated her kindly.
“What?”  Frigga said shocked.
“Why, it must have been enforcing Father's last command,” Loki lied.
Thor moved to the opposite side of the bed holding Odin, staring his brother down.  “You're a talented liar, Brother. Always have been.”
“It's good to have you back. Now if you'll excuse me, I have to destroy Jotunheim,” Loki said and blasted Thor with Gungnir.  Thor flew back, slamming through the palace wall and toppling down the edge of the building.
Loki ran from the room past his mother without a word.  “Are you coming?” he snapped at Svana, but the woman just stood frozen in place, shocked by how things were turning out.  Loki let out a derisive sound but didn’t break stride leaving Svana behind.
“Did you know about this?” Frigga asked, staring at Svana.
“I - I knew about some,” Svana admitted.  “Not that he tried to kill Thor.”
“Why would he do this?  To his own brother.  His father?” Frigga cried, the pain dripping off her voice.
Svana shook her head.  “He has felt less than for so long,” she said.  “And Thor… you had to have seen how arrogant he can be…”
Frigga slapped Svana hard across the cheek.  “I let you into our home!  Our family!”
Savana’s head rocked to the side and she automatically clutched her cheek.  “You think this is my fault?  After everything that has happened?  You reap what you sow, my lady, and your husband has been planting these seeds in his children for centuries.”
“You could have warned me, I could have done something to stop it,” Frigga argued.
“Like what?  Force Odin to love his youngest child?” Svana asked.  “If you could have done that, surely you would have by now.”
“Odin loves Loki,” Frigga answered.  “He’s just…”
“What?”  Svana interrupted.  “Preferred Thor?  That was obvious.”
Frigga raised her hand like she was going to slap the girl again and then slowly lowered it, looking back at her husband in his Odinsleep.  “We need to wake him.  He needs to fix this.”
Svana nodded.  “I will try to redirect the flow of magic,” she said and turned to leave.  She turned back again with a frown.  “For what it’s worth, I am sorry.  I didn’t want harm to come to Thor.  That was never in Loki’s plans that he told me.  We both love Thor.”
Frigga frowned, her eyes a dark cloud of grief and fury.  When the queen said nothing, Svana left to return to the aerie.

The young witch worked in the tower room, redirecting the flow of magic as the two brothers battled on the rainbow bridge.  Loki’s anger had consumed him fully and all he could think about was how he didn’t even belong to this family.  All those years he’d spent trying to show his father what shame was and it was for nothing because it wouldn’t have mattered what Loki did - how good or bad he could be - Loki was not Odin’s son and it meant nothing to him.  Loki might as well destroy worlds and kill the golden child because there was nothing Loki could do to show Odin he was worthy.  Loki was just another frost giant unworthy and unfit to even inhabit the same space as Thor.
He fought with all his might and used all his tricks, but in the end, Thor was always the better warrior.  Thor pinned the trickster to the bridge using Mjolnir, and Loki struggled to get up from under it.  It didn’t matter.  Everything had been set into motion.  Jotunheim was currently being destroyed by the Bifrost and there was nothing that Thor could do to stop it.  Loki may not have won, but neither had Thor and tonight, that would have to be enough.
“Look at you - the Mighty Thor, with all your strength, and what good does it do you now, huh? Do you hear me, Brother? There's nothing you can do!”  Loki sneered from his position, pinned to the rainbow bridge.
Thor looked around and summoned Mjolnir to him.  Loki was confused for a moment, and then Thor began to beat the hammer against the thick glass of the bridge, the bridge splintering under the force.
“What are you doing? If you destroy the bridge, you'll never see her again!”  Loki screamed.
Loki got up and charged at his brother, leaning in the air and aiming Odin’s spear at Thor’s back as Thor continued to pound against the bridge.
“Forgive me, Jane,” Thor said, his voice cracking, and just as Loki was about to run him through, he slammed Mjolnir on the bridge and it broke, sending both brothers flying from the force of the blast that disintegrated the bridge and sent Himinbjorg toppling over the side of the falls and into space.
Both brothers began to fall, Thor grabbed hold of Gungnir but he wasn’t sure if it would achieve much, both were free-falling over the side of the shattered bridge.
A hand wrapped around Thor’s boot and they both stopped falling, dangling over nothing.  Loki looked up to see Odin looking down over the edge at them, holding Thor in place.
“I could have done it, Father!” Loki yelled, tears running down his face.  He could see the anguish in Thor’s face, but all he wanted was for his father to tell him he was worthy too.  “I could have done it! For you! For all of us!”
“No, Loki,” Odin said quietly.
Loki looked up at Odin and knew, there was nothing he could do.  He would always be the disappointment, the lesser brother.
“Loki, no,” Thor said, reading his brother’s features and knowing what Loki had only just figured out.  The trickster let go of the spear and fell.

Once he came to Earth, Loki managed to take possession of the Tesseract and used its power to open a wormhole above New York City and caused the Chitauri Invasion, but all of Loki's schemes were ultimately defeated by the Avengers. Thor returned him to Asgard as his prisoner, where Odin condemned him to spend the rest of his life in the Asgardian Dungeons as punishment for his crimes. However, when Frigga was killed during the Sacking of Asgard, Loki was freed by Thor in order to defeat the Dark Elves led by Malekith who desired to use the power of the Aether to transform the universe into eternal darkness. During the fight against the Dark Elves in Svartalfheim, Loki faked his death, and, unbeknownst to everyone in the Kingdom, returned to Asgard and successfully removed Odin from the throne, taking his place as King where he remained for several years. During his reign, Loki continued to rule Asgard by sending Sif on missions to Earth to investigate the attacks of Lorelei and Vin-Tak. Eventually, the return of Thor forced Loki to reveal his deception as the pair journeyed together to find Odin, arriving just in time to witness Odin's death. Loki found himself stranded at Sakaar along with Thor where Loki allied himself with the Grandmaster while Thor was forced to battle against Hulk. In the chaos that followed, Loki attempted to kill Thanos but ultimately failed. When Loki taunted Thanos by telling him that he would never be a god, the Mad Titan snapped his neck, finally killing the God of Mischief.

Chapter 17: Forgive and Forget...Sometimes
(Loki POV)
The pain was gone. The aching, burning, tearing feeling in my chest was gone, replaced with a lightness that felt slightly off. Blackness filled my vision, engulfing me, suffocating me; I felt a pull in my chest, comparable to the pull when Violet was nearby. Violet. Sorrow washed over me again, pounding against my skull; I reached for her, searching in the void for the flicker of warmth.
No, not yet. The deep, oddly familiar voice echoed through my head, threatening to crack the walls of my mind with its force. Wake up. The voice echoed through my mind again, softer this time.
I struggled against the weight of the void, forcing my conscious mind to the surface; I almost didn’t recognize the sensation of warmth spreading across my face, the rustle of grass swaying around me, or the brush of a breeze across my skin. Slowly, my eyes cracked open, fluttering at the sudden presence of light again and I pushed myself into a sitting position, rubbing at the aching around my eyes with the heel of my hands. After a few moments of rapid blinking, my eyes started to adjust, only to nearly bulge out of my head as I took in my surroundings.
           “Woah,” I breathed. Drinking in the picturesque landscape in front of me was almost too much for my brain to comprehend all at once. I sat under a large tree at the top of one of the many rolling hills stretching for miles, a variety of flowers gently swaying as a breeze rolled through. The faint trickling of a stream nearby caught my attention momentarily, only to be overshadowed by the sight of a giant gate off in the distance. I gingerly got to my feet, stumbling forward, catching myself on the tree before righting myself again. Glancing down at myself, I recognized the simple pine-colored tunic and black pants; another breeze rolled through, jostling my ebony curls around my face.
Come. I heard echo through my mind, urging me forward gently.
I hesitated for a moment, uncertain of what was calling to me, fearing what I might find. I sucked in a deep breath before gathering the courage to walk forward; a few steps into my walk, a new texture connected with my bare feet. The stone path winded down around the hill out of sight, leading me into one of the many valleys. I wanted to stop, figure out where I was supposed to be going, but something kept pulling me forward, further into the valley; the soothing trickle of water got closer the longer I walked. Suddenly, I stepped into an open field, my eye catching the glint of sunlight off the tranquil stream to my right. Strolling deeper into the field, I took a moment to relish in the calmness of it, feeling at peace for what felt like the first time; my moment of serenity was interrupted when I sensed a presence behind me.
           “Hello, my son.” There it was again, that voice; of course, I knew that voice. I turned slowly, a surge of emotions flooding my mind as I faced Odin once again.
           “Father,” I snapped. Odin’s head dropped slightly, a tight, almost sad smile pulling at his lips as he watched the grass sway at his feet. He looked no different from the last time I saw him, eye patch, snow-white hair and beard, weathered with knowledge and from battle, his orange and gold robe rippling around him.
           “You ooze contempt towards me,” Odin sighed, his brows pulling together.
           “Do you blame me?” I shot back, watching his every move.
           “No, I suppose I don’t. I deserve your rage,” Odin stated, closing the space between us but not looking up.
            “Where am I? Is this Valhalla? Folkvangr?” I questioned, looking around again.
            “Not quite; we are…in between,” Odin offers, standing only a foot away now. “I needed to speak with you before your Mother whisked you away.” My heart stuttered at the mention of my mother; I scanned the field again, looking for her. “She’s not here, not yet at least.”
           “What do you want from me?” I whispered, praying I didn’t sound as scared as I felt.
           “I’m not going to hurt you, my son,” Odin ground out, his jaw tense. I wanted to come back with a witty remark but bit my tongue when I could see the genuine pain in Odin’s body language. “You claimed me in your dying moments.” I froze, blinking lamely at him as snippets of memories came back.
I…Loki…Prince of Asgard…Odinson…
           “I-I did,” I stated. “But i-it wasn’t for you. It was for Thor,” I confessed.
           “I know it was for him; many of the things you’ve done in your life have been for him. He is your brother, even if you don’t see me as your father,” Odin sighed as he finished. “I have caused you much pain in your relatively short life, Loki.”
           “That’s an understatement,” I grumbled. I blanched momentarily when I heard a soft chuckle from Odin.
           “I wasn’t out to harm you,” Odin started. I didn’t let him finish when the memory of that prophecy, my prophecy, floated into my head.
           “I don’t believe you. You have been harming me even before I was born!” I yelled. Now I caught his attention; Odin’s head snapped up, finally meeting my eyes.
           “What are you talking about?”
           “I know about the prophecy. I know why you took me!” I shouted, shaking with anger.
           “You know nothing of a prophecy,” Odin snapped.
           “I met the seeress!” I screamed, barely containing myself.
           “What is he talking about, Odin?” a soft voice said from behind me. My heart squeezed as my eyes fell closed, wishing to hear her voice again, but instead, a delicate hand rested on my arm. “Hello, my son.”
           “Mother,” I croaked. I kept my eyes closed, fighting back the threat of tears; she pulled at my arm, turning me towards her.
           “Open your eyes,” she whispered. I forced myself to open them, my chest tightening when I was met with her smile, the pale blue of her dress catching the light. “I’m so happy to see you again.” She pulled me into a hug, squeezing me tightly against her; I shook with silent sobs as I held on for dear life.
           “I missed you, mother,” I mumbled against her shoulder.
           “And I missed you, my sweet boy,” she whispered. Pulling away felt almost as painful as losing her the first time; as if she sensed it, her hand came to rest on my cheek. “Relax, you’re okay now.”
           “You found us, my queen,” Odin smiled as my mother moved towards him.
           “What was Loki talking about involving a seeress?” Frigga pressed.
           “I apologize for hiding this from you, my queen,” Odin mumbled, meeting her gaze. “Our son was part of a much bigger plan that I attempted to derail before he was born. I was naïve to think I could ever stop it.” Odin turned his gaze to me, something resembling guilt settling in his eyes.
           “What did you do?” Frigga growled.
           “A seeress spoke of a prophecy, one that involved a small prince of Jotunheim and a Jotun halfling born to an Asgardian,” Odin explained. “I think you can gather part of this is referring to Loki.”
           “Yes, but who….” Frigga trailed off, her mind working. “I knew her; I trained her.”
           “That you did, my queen. Her mother was a warrior, captured in battle,” Odin confirmed.
           “Continue, get to the best part,” I snapped, glaring at Odin. I expected a flash of anger, but he only flinched slightly before continuing.
           “They were meant to stay in Jotunheim, to grow together, become quite powerful together, but I changed that. When I found out a female warrior was captured, I knew the time had come. So the mother was rescued right before she gave birth, and I brought Loki home,” Odin continued.
           “Why? Why does any of this matter?” Frigga asked, clearly not seeing the connection.
           “These two beings were to eventually rule Jotunheim and overthrow me, taking control of the Nine Realms, bring peace and prosperity. But I insisted I could do it so that the prophecy didn’t need to come true.” Odin averted his gaze from my mother, not daring to meet her eyes; I could almost see the anger pulsing around Frigga.
           “Prophecies don’t always come true! What made you so sure this one would, to the point that you altered our son and another being’s life so drastically!” Frigga yelled.
           “...they are two beings born of one soul,” Odin whispered. Frigga gasped softly, her anger boring into Odin as his words sunk in; I shuffled uncomfortably, my mother’s anger being a new experience for me.
           “I can’t believe you,” Frigga whispered. “I can’t believe what you did. I would gladly take the chance that I wouldn’t have got to be his mother if it meant he didn’t live with the unbearable pain he does now!”
           “I didn’t intend to hurt either of them like this,” Odin shot back, his guilt masked with anger.
           “I don’t care if you didn’t intend for it!” I finally snapped. “You have no idea what you did by taking us! You’ll never understand how it affected us! I was so torn apart by betrayal and anger that when I fell from the bridge, thinking it would be better to die, I was captured, manipulated. I was tortured until I finally broke and was used as a puppet, locked away in my own head. And then there’s Violet!” I couldn’t contain the waves of rage crashing over me anymore; I finally unleashed it all. “Do you have any idea what happened to her? What bringing her to Asgard did? Yes, she became a powerful sorceress and a highly skilled warrior but at what cost? Of course, you have no idea about what they did to her though.”
           “Loki,” Frigga tried, reaching a hand towards me.
           “No, I’m sorry, mother, but you can’t fix this, and he needs to hear it. The man that was supposed to be her father was a sick, vile pig! He justified his actions because she wasn’t really his daughter,” I choked on the last sentence.
           “Are you implying what I think?” my mother whispered, horrified.
           “Yes,” I whispered. “So don’t stand here and tell me you didn’t intend on it because I don’t care; you still caused it. Maybe one day I could’ve forgiven you for what my life turned out to be and moved on.” I took a step closer, keeping my eyes locked on Odin’s as I stood in his face. “I can never forgive you for what you did to my wife,” I growled. Odin stood still, not daring to avert his gaze just yet, but I could see the pain swirling in his eyes. Good.
           “Loki?” my mother called softly.
           “Yes,” I sighed, finally stepping away from Odin.
           “Your wife?” my mother managed through tears, a smile brightening her face.
           “The prophecy didn’t intend for us to be married; we were destined to be work together to fulfill the prophecy. I fell in love with her on accident,” I whispered, a smile tugging at my lips. “It was angry, messy, violent, and hard, but if it wasn’t for her, I don’t think I would’ve found any happiness.”
           “Well, I must see her again,” my mother laughed, wiping tears away. “I only ever wished for you to find love, my son.” I smiled, thinking of Violet, but it was short-lived when the crushing agony of our last moments surfaced.
           “Where is she?” I addressed Odin. I took a deep breath, waiting for another bout of anger from Odin before he gave me an honest answer.
           “She is here,” Odin stated, his eyes scanning the trees, stopping somewhere directly over my head.
           “Loki?” Violet called. I froze, gasping softly, my heart hammering against my ribs as my soul burst to life again; it felt as if my body was nearly vibrating as my soul thrummed with joy. I turned on my heels, frantically searching the field behind me, finally catching her outline strolling through the grass. Her eyes roaming over the scenery, her onyx hair blowing in the breeze. The deep plum of her dress was such a stark contrast to the world around her, I almost laughed.
           “Violet?” I sighed softly, my entire being reaching for her. Violet’s head snapped up, locking eyes with me across the field as her body sagging in relief. I started to take a step towards her, only to be stopped in my tracks when she appeared less than a foot from me.
           “I wasn’t waiting any longer,” she choked out, throwing herself at me. I grunted at the impact as her arms wrapped around my neck but quickly regained my bearings, squeezing her tighter to my chest, nuzzling my face in her hair. The waves of joy slowly receded, leaving me with one memory that will haunt my dreams for eternity; I set her down, pulling away so I could rest a hand on her face.
           “I’m so sorry,” I managed through the onslaught of tears.
           “No, don’t you do that. It was not your fault,” she scolded, poking me in the chest.
           “I thought he would leave you if I offered myself instead,” I whispered, running my thumb along her cheekbone, our faces getting closer.
           “I don’t want to talk about it, please,” she begged; I nodded, breathing in deeply. “I love you,” she laughed joyfully, her breath puffing against my lips.
           “I love you too, my queen.” I closed the gap, sealing our lips; Violet fisted a hand in my shirt, molding our bodies together, her tongue running along the seam of my lips.
           “Loki?” my mother called. Violet froze, pulling herself away, a horrified expression on her face.
           “It’s okay,” I chuckled. “Odin and Frigga would like to see you.”
           “What!” she squeaked. I rolled my eyes, shaking my head with a smile; grabbing her hand, I pulled her to where they stood. “Your Highnesses,” she greeted, dropping into a perfect curtsy.
           “Oh, child, please,” Frigga giggled. “It’s wonderful to see you again, Violet, although it will only be short-lived.” My mother stepped forward, pulling Violet into a gently hug; as she stepped back to my side, I caught the twinkle of unshed tears as Violet smiled at my mother.
           “What do you mean?” I spoke up.
           “Odin?” my mother hummed. 
           “Your mother and I are sending you back. Your work isn’t finished; Jotunheim and the Nine Realms aren’t yet at peace. I have the ability to resurrect you both; it wasn’t your time yet,” Odin finishes, smiling slightly.
           “If you want to go back, of course,” Frigga added, shooting a look at Odin.
What do you think? I heard Violet’s thoughts worming their way into my head.
I was about to ask you the same thing. I laughed out loud, ignoring the looks from my mother and Odin.
I would like that. Violet hummed happily next to me. Before I could give our answer, my mother cut in.
           “Are you communicating?” my mother asked, her eyes flicking between Violet and me.
           “Yes, apparently, it’s an ability that resulted from our soul being split in two. Our magic does make it easier though,” I answered, glancing at Violet.
           “Fascinating,” Frigga breathed, her eyes darting back and forth.
           “Your answer?” Odin cut in.
           “We accept,” we chorused.
           “When Thanos is defeated, you will return to Jotunheim,” Odin explained.
           “Can you send us back before?” Violet asked.
           “Why?” Odin was taken back by her question, looking to me for an explanation.
           “They could probably use the help,” Violet mumbled, looking suddenly nervous.
           “Understand that time moves differently here, meaning they have already lost to Thanos at this point on Earth.” Odin cringed at the thought but shook it off, taking a deep breath before continuing. “At the moment, they are broken and helpless, but if you wish to return, I can send you back before the final battle. Therefore, you still have time if you change your mind.”
           “Let us know when the time comes,” I answered, squeezing Violet’s hand.
           “As you wish,” Odin bowed his head before turning away. I expected him to keep walking, but he stopped, looking over his shoulder at us. “I am truly sorry, my son.” He left us standing with my mother as he walked out of sight, not turning back again. My mother stepped into our line of sight, a bright smile on her face.
           “I am so proud of you, my children. You will continue to do great things, and I can’t wait to hear about it when I welcome you both home to Folkvangr when the time comes.” Frigga rested a hand on both our cheeks, smiling warmly; her hands fell away to blow a kiss to us before walking off, leaving Violet and me standing in the field. Resting an arm on her shoulders, I steered Violet to our left, pulling her to a stop at the edge of the stream.
           “I want to be excited, but we have to make it through the Titan first,” Violet sighed, leaning her head on my shoulder.
           “I believe in us,” I mumbled, pressing a kiss to her forehead as we watched the cascade of the stream before us.
