Vitamin D Deficiency Can PREDICT Opiate Addiction
Humanity’s addiction to opiates is nothing new; physical wars have even erupted over opium but now, we have a better idea as to why. It turns out that UV light (sunlight) affects opioid receptors in the brain, which means that Vitamin D deficiency can reliably predict those who are more prone to developing an opiate addiction. Today we’re joined by the brilliant and daring NYC journalist Alec Bostwick (founder of the @Bostwiki YouTube channel) who decided to put his own hypothesis to the test, while the scientists were working on theirs, by conducting his own experiment.. on himself. It included sunshine, tanning beds and Narcan.

It is interesting how much math comes into even the most basic of like. Making things. Making almost anything. And often not numbers necessarily but proportions and geometry. I think all the time about how castles were built with geometry at the heart of it. And I use the same kind of proportional math to make socks fit. And none of my pieces are ever knit with a prime number of stitches--because you use factors to make neat colorwork and ribbing and different stitches. Idk ! I remember constantly thinking 'how the hell is THIS gonna come in useful ?' But it always does. Math is at the heart of everything, and knowing how to apply it is a tool of critical importance to Thinking Up A Shape And Making It.

I just saved my grandpa from horrible withdrawals. My parents told me had the flu and that he quit depot morphine a week ago as if those were two coincidences, so I went into the stubborn old mans apartment and went "before you argue, please allow me to guess your current symptoms" and as I was spot on, he listened long enough to let me convince him that he needs a reduction plan and can't just quit it all cold turkey. I then had him pop and swallow while I watched. He's a lot better now

A synthetic opioid 25 times more powerful than fentanyl has made its way to the Quebec City region, where public health officials reported Saturday they have detected the dangerous compound in pale green tablets that mimic the appearance of other prescription opioids. The Quebec City regional public health authority warned the compound, protonitazepyne, presents a high risk of overdose, which may require several doses of the life-saving medication naloxone. Health Canada first detected the substance in 2023 and would go on to positively identify it in a total of 25 drug samples by the end of the year. Public health officials working in the Quebec City-area now say it has been increasingly found in the Montreal area since the beginning of 2024. No overdoses in the Quebec City region have been linked to the protonitazepyne tablets, but officials say it presents a very real threat.
