ALERT: LITTLE GUY SIGHTED!!!
I saw a baby garter snake while walking around campus today!!! I’m so happy that it’s finally getting warm enough for the snakes to come back out where I live! This was my first snake of the season and he was so photogenic. For a while I was scared I’d have to move him because he was near a place that gets a lot of foot traffic and I didn’t want him getting stepped on, but luckily he went into a nearby thicket and was safe. I love handling snakes but I didn’t really want to get musked on and smell like poop for the rest of the day.
Here’s the photo without any edits btw

Corey, by Jane Claypool Miner. During my first read-through of the series this was one of my favorites, and I think that’s still the case. In many aspects, Corey is similar to Addy from American Girl.
Corey is level-headed and even when she does lose her temper, it’s because she is truly being provoked. Her first love interest is someone she grew up with and everyone expected her to marry, but she is the only one who recognizes how incompatible they are. While she is responsible, he is immature. He constantly harasses her, and when proposing outright doesn’t work, he tries to trick her into saying yes.
The second man comes off as elitist, and Corey sees him as being out of touch with reality. He laughs at her when she asks questions, so it takes some time before Corey warms up to him. Ultimately I don’t know how compatible they really are, and wonder how their relationship is going to work with Corey’s plans for her future.

North American Building Trades Union Endorses Joe Biden.
Makes sense, given how many construction workers his opponent is known to have ripped off. And how much Biden has done for workers as president.
This is a big deal- as the article notes, the Union has a quarter of a million members across Michigan, Wisconsin, and Pennsylvania, all key swing states. Clinton's narrow (tens of thousands of votes) loss in those three states made Trump president. Biden's win in them secured his presidency, along with his victories in Arizona and Georgia.

Population: 12,711
The submitter commented, “It's the only incorporated town in Pennsylvania & is home to one of the largest agricultural fairs on the US east coast. It's also a college town. I currently live here & I'm sure no one will have even heard of it, but I'm curious.”
