IMGONNAGETYOUBACK
Set during Avengers: Endgame, you time travel to 1943 to see Bucky but you end up meeting a very different version of him.
bucky x fem!reader (angst) + no use of y/n. english isn't my first language (!)
You were leaning on the doorframe, watching as Hulk, Nebula and Rhodey fixed Scott Lang's time travel suit. Clint Barton was by your side, you both had shared some suspicious glances after seeing how Scott was behaving. He was restless, throwing deadly looks at anyone who dared to handle the Pym Particles, constantly moving and deconfiguring the suit over and over again.
—I'm not ready to do this —. Scott finally confessed with a sigh.
—I'll do it. I'm ready —. You said right after. You volunteered so quickly as if you had been waiting for Scott to quit to take his place.
Nebula, Rhodey and Hulk looked at each other and slowly nodded. Scott felt relieved that he didn't have to do it himself and you couldn't be more prepared. Since the idea of time travel had been around the team, only one thought had been in your head. Only one person was in your thoughts and you had to get back to him any way you could.
You put on the time travel suit and you walked towards the huge Quantum Tunnel that they had built. Natasha, Clint, Rocket and Thor decided to join Nebula, Rhodey and Hulk in monitoring the test. Steve arrived at the last moment when he knew you were going to be the one who was going to time travel.
You stepped onto the big platform and waited for directions. If any of them asked you at that moment if you were nervous, you would say no, but the truth was that your hands were shaking, there were drops of cold sweat sliding down your forehead and your heart was beating hard and fast against your chest. You just hoped this would work.
—It may make you nauseous but it is completely normal, you are going to travel across the Quantum Realm to the past. I'm going to send you back a week, let you walk around for ten minutes which for us will be ten seconds. So I'll count to ten and we'll bring you back.
You nodded to everything Hulk was explaining.
—Are you ready?
—Actually —You cleared your throat. Everyone looked at you thinking you were going to quit —. Could you send me back to 1943?
—That's quite a leap in time. It may be dangerous. Why don't we start by trying something a bit less—?
—I don't care. When we travel back in time, we will not travel back to a week ago. We can't waste time.
The big green man was surprised but quickly touched a few buttons and fixed it to send you to the date you told him. Everyone seemed confused except Steve who immediately understood why you had volunteered for the time travel test.
Natasha and Clint also knew your intentions when you mentioned that specific year, they didn't know what happened in 1943 but they knew how hard you had fought to have Bucky with you. From fighting Tony Stark, one of your closest friends, to travel to Wakanda to work with Shuri to remove the Winter Soldier program from him. All of that until he was blipped by Thanos.
But no one knew it as well as Steve. He had seen you mourn the loss of Bucky more than three times, that was why he was looking at you from his position with an approving expression on his face while he nodded to you. —Good luck. You got this —. Steve said and his words gave you the security you needed to make that travel calm.
—Are you sure it will be good for her to do that? —Natasha whispered to Steve.
He shook his head. It was a terrible idea, going back to the past to see him and then coming back to the present and not having him. It would only comfort you momentarily and would make his loss even more painful. If Steve had known why you wanted to travel to the past before, he would have tried to convince you not to do it but now it was too late and he could only support your decision as Hulk counted down to three and you were sent into the Quantum Realm.
As you traveled, you tried to stop spinning around because if you didn't you would have worse nausea but you found it impossible. You were thankful that it was short and went fast and when you realized, you were shot into 1943 as you came back to your normal size.
You fell to the ground in the crowd. You looked around, surprised by the fact that the time travel had worked. You caught the attention of everyone around you, the ladies gasped and the gentlemen bent down to help you get back on your feet, you felt the nausea that Hulk had told you about but you managed to control it. The people around you asked you if you were okay, if you had hurt yourself.
—You must be a big fan of Mr. Howard Stark, Miss. Your clothes are really futuristic, did you sew them?
You looked at your time travel suit and then looked at the clothes the people around you were wearing. The women wore long dresses, the men top hats and walking sticks. You couldn't believe it actually worked. You nodded, going along with them.
—I am looking for a man. I have lost him in the crowd —You smiled kindly even though you were scared to death. Your hands were shaking, you didn't know how the lump in your throat was letting you speak. The man you were talking to you nodded, understanding your situation. —He is a Sergeant, his name is James Barnes. Brown hair and blue eyes. People know him as Bucky.
The man shook his head and apologized for not being able to help.
The time-space GPS that Tony made beeped once. You had already used half of your time. You felt a pressure in your chest that made it hard for you to breathe and that urged your feet to move quickly through the crowd. Shoving people out of your way, pushing those who didn't want to move. The test was a success, you had traveled back to 1943 but you needed to find him before you ran out of time.
Your heart stopped every time you ran into a man dressed in a military uniform, crossing your fingers wishing that they were Bucky and cursing every time you found out they were not.
And then your feet stopped all of a sudden when you saw him in profile at the candy apple stand. You remembered that that day you also bought two candy apples and the way you and him laughed when you realized that you had had the same idea. Bucky was talking to the owner with a smile on his lips, he was young and in love, he was going to a war that would give him a lot of recognition, he had so many reasons to show that big smile of his.
You were so deep in your thoughts that you didn't realize that he started walking away in search of your 1943 self. Your breath quickened as you saw that you were going to lose him in the crowd.
You called his name once, too quiet for him to hear you. Your feet started to follow him while you called his name again but he didn't hear you that time either. You started walking faster and calling his name louder, your heart beating so hard against your chest that you thought it was going to burst out of you. Bucky was walking fast and the noise of the people and the exhibition was too loud. You ran to reach him when your time-space GPS began to beep uncontrollably.
—No, no, no, no... —You complained.
And then you shouted his name and Bucky turned around but by then the helmet of your suit had already closed and you were quantum.
You were so angry as you traveled back to the present. You hit your suit hard, you hit your helmet hoping it would shatter and the tunnel would spit you out at some point in the timeline where you and Bucky were still together. And then you hit your time-space GPS and the tunnel instead of pushing you into the present sucked you back into the past.
You fell to your knees in a cold room. It didn't take you long to realize that it was a cell. Behind the bars, there were several armed men, but on the other side of them, there was only you and Bucky.
You were at his feet. You gasped when you looked up and saw him, sitting in that torture-like chair with the vibranium marked with the red star rebuilding his left arm. Bucky looked at you with a slight frown, he was disoriented, seeing Steve that day at the bridge, his friend calling that familiar name, and now your face that was so familiar to him appearing out of nowhere inside his cell... All that had managed to bring back some fuzzy memories that only made him more confused.
Bucky did not take his eyes off you, his fists were clenched in a defensive position but he did not seem to have any intention of attacking you. His frown confused you, you thought he was furious but he was actually terrified, he was gaining consciousness and he did not know how to handle it. Your eyes began to fill with tears when you saw the symbol of Hydra on the wall behind him.
—I know you. You are the girl from the bridge. You were there with him.
You nodded and wiped your tears with the back of your hand. There was no sign of the cheerful soldier you had seen a few seconds ago. —Yes, yes, yes. That was me, Bucky.
There was that name again,
At that moment your time-travel GPS beeped.
The guards keeping Bucky's cell turned in alarm when they heard the beeping sound. Once they saw you, they started yelling for the door of the cell to open while pointing their guns at you. You turned to look at them in fear, the bars began to open slowly, they were going to come in at any moment. You focused on Bucky again and crawled over to him. He was breathing heavily as he watched the guards about to go in.
—Buck, listen to me —You grabbed his hands. He laid his eyes on you. —This is not you. We're going to get you out of here. Steve, the man from the bridge, and I are doing everything we can. We will fight for you and someday you will be free. This isn't going to last forever I promise.
You heard the military boots coming into the cell and walking to you. You didn't have much time. You threw yourself at Bucky and hugged him. He stood still, his arms didn't hug you back while your hands encircled his neck and pressed your body against his hot, naked chest.
—Everything is gonna be all right I promise —.You sobbed in his ear.
The guards grabbed you by your arms and fought to take you away from Bucky but you fought even harder to stay with him. In the end they managed to get you away from him.
—Wipe him and execute her.
You kicked and cried as the guards dragged you out of the cell. The guards strapped Bucky to the chair, they put a gumshield in his mouth, his chest heaved as he gasped for air. Bucky kept looking at you as the guards tried to get you to your knees. The panels on either side of Bucky's head began to lower over his face, one of them covered his left eye, the other one covered his right cheek. You closed your eyes tightly and looked away as Bucky began to scream in pain.
As the guards were holding your arms you could not even cover your ears. His screams were unbearable. Your cheeks were wet from all the crying. You fought even harder against the hold of the guards but they hit the back of your knees and knocked you to your knees. Your GPS started beeping uncontrollably. You heard as they loaded the gun and put the barrel against the back of your head. Before they could pull the trigger, you became quantum.
While you traveled back to the present, you could still hear Bucky screaming, ripping his throat, and biting down hard on the gumshield, you could still see his terrified blue eyes looking directly at you. And you could do nothing for him, it would be years before you could help him. You covered your head with your arms and screamed, trying to silence Bucky's cries with your own.
Steve quickly went up to the platform when you came back. Natasha and Clint followed him. You were on your knees on the floor, curled up in a ball, with your arms still covering your head. Steve wrapped his arms around you even though you tried to push him.
As your tears soaked Steve's shirt, he turned to look at the rest of the team. —It worked.

What does Solanum end up doing in the Post-Nova au?
So, just to recap, after the birth of the new universe, the Quantum could no longer orbit the Eye, and so Solanum instead reappeared at the quantum grove, by Hatching's side. She was really weakened by these events, and had to stay bed ridden for a little while.
While she was resting, Hatchling made sure to explain to the whole village who she was and how make sure she felt welcome in the village. When she woke up, Hatchy, Hal and Riebeck made their mission to make her as comfortable as possible.
So, all she does in the first place is try to cope with the situation. She learns her people are all dead, she recalls the Ancient Glade, and she now lives with a species that she met during their prehistoric phase. It's a lot to take in for her.
After that, she will start to learn to speak and read Hearthian language (even though Hatchy created a reverse translator just for her), learn about their culture, and even join the space program. She'll join the other travelers in some of their explorations, to give her friends some answers on her civilisation, and find secrets on her own.
She doesn't do much tbh, I just think it is interesting to explore the idea of giving you a second chance at life, while being the only survivor of your species, and being forced to adapt into a friendly but unknown place. I think her presence adds some purpose to Hatchy, as well as their friendship adds purpose to her new life.
That being said! I once had the idea of the modern Nomai surviving the nebirth of the universe, and Solanum and the Hearthians end up being invited to a Festival to explain what happened. I think it's a nice idea to explore but I don't think it would be canon in this AU.

i need more mutuals who are into coding and engineering!! more info under the cut!!
I planned to become an electrical engineer like my stepdad but then I decided to change my path to programming. I'm currently studying at technikum (<- wikipedia link so I don't have to explain the whole polish learning system), programmer major.
this year I have exams from web development (10th Jan - theory, 16th Jan - practical exams) and next year I have exams from App development (both mobile and desktop).
I know C family languages, Java, Python and those ones I am currently using. I also know a bit of Kotlin and I think I will continue learning it.
For web dev I know HTML and CSS ofc but also PHP and JS.
Planning on learning more languages I can use for App and operating system development as well as just to know them cause I want to after this year's exams!
my learning list:
Lua (I heard it's easy but I can't really get myself to read anything about this atm idk why)
Ruby
Assembly
Rust
As for electrical engineering I don't know much tbh but I would like to learn! I just used CAD programs for technical drawings (dad taught me some basic things when I was still thinking about going his path) helped my dad fix things on his Solar farm, houses of our neighbors and I made a few very simple circuits for fun a few years ago. Now I'm mostly focused on programming but since I learned most of the things I need for exams I have more time to do whatever I want now!
I'd like to get to know more people so I can share and mostly learn new things since even though I'm coding for years I consider myself a beginner and I am a total beginner when it comes to electrical engineering.
I'm willing to be friends or at least mutuals with anyone who codes or makes websites or is in STEM! no matter what your specialty/interest is exactly and no matter if you are a total beginner or a professional ^__^
I'd also like to have some mutuals who are into old web development and retro computing!!!!!!!!
edit: I forgot but I'm also interested in physics and quantum physics

Help choose Grian's area of expertise! (How smart are you, really? 💚💛❤️ Traffic/Life SMP AU)
It's time! I need your input! I've reached a slight standstill in the planning, which is okay and part of the process (I assume, anyway). Today, we brainstorm for Grian.
Edit: He is a business expert!
I'm having some trouble thinking of an expertise for Grian. I was originally planning for it to be architecture or something, but I don't feel like I could write that into a competition setting where it would be applicable. More details and sneak peek below cut!
The following areas of expertise are already being used (a sneak peek!):
Statistics (w/ an emphasis on Probability), Quantum Physics, Coding and Programming, Marine Biology, Linguistics and Languages, Electrical Engineering, and Astronomy/Astrological Physics.
Some that I've brainstormed but don't know how they would be helpful are:
History, Algebra, Economics, Psychology, Sociology, Chemistry, Business, Environmental Studies, Human Anatomy (Medicine?), Journalism, Communication Studies, and Philosophy (someone will get philosophy, but I don't know who yet).
Feel free to comment your ideas or leave them in my ask box! The sooner, the better, so I can carry on writing.
Thanks for helping out!

OH MY GOODNESS
What if teen!spider!reader was smarter than Miguel- like someone half his age is solving so many problems he couldn’t.
“Bro- you literally made a whole society but you calculated this as though it was a black hole and not a worm hole. How can you be this stupid?” And Miguel is just like 🧍♂️
Solving complex math equations and physics problems in minutes, creating multiple plans for missions and calculating the percentage of success for all of them.
But then they literally can’t hold a conversation (or eye contact) for the life of them- their social life is non-existent and they’re absolutely clueless when it comes to social cues (Miguel’s body language whenever he feels awkward when reader shows him how he messed up a problem or Hobie hinting at his not so big crush on reader) and like- the absolute awkwardness that happens when someone tries to compliment reader and they don’t know how to respond “it’s basic calculus, a kindergartner could do it”
Sorry if this is a ramble? I don’t know how to format these at all 😭
Intelligent but Socially Awkward Teen Spider!Reader
Don’t mind me doing a bunch of jumping around in this post, there’s just so much POTENTIAL with this spider!reader!!!
Hope you liked my thoughts on this
I LOVE THIS IDEA😍😍😍 I can already imagine Miguel sending them away the minute they start pointing out all of his mathematical mistakes lol
Teen!Reader is the epitome of ‘um actually☝️🤓’
I think this teen!reader is a product of ‘academic validation’, forced into a mind set where they need to be successful in all studies in school. Their parent(s) were probably extremely strict when it came to this, so it’s no surprise readers the way they are.
Of course despite this, being this blunt has its advantages. Like putting Miguel in his place! When reader had first join the society, they were for the most part quite reserved and quiet. They stuck to themselves while awkwardly maneuvering around social interactions.
So naturally , they were drawn to Miguel’s reclusive nature, which ultimately led to them growing more comfortable around him and those who worked close with him!
It all started with Miguel giving reader the task to go over some of his work to keep them occupied and away from him.
The faces reader would make while correcting all his errors definitely annoyed him. AND when they started pointing out all his other mistakes straight to his FACE. Mm mmm, all hell breaks loose for teen!reader.
OMG!! Imagine if this teen!reader was able to actually solve one of the most complex equations in his dimension, an equation that doesn’t even exist yet in their own world??
To say that they’re a mathematical genius is literally an understatement. They’re a MACHINE when it comes to physics and anything math related. Which is why they’re in charge, alongside Lyla, when creating and programming the spider society’s watches.
Even known as the genius behind the scene, reader cannot for the LIFE of them hold any conversations with the other spiders in the society💀
Compliments are disregarded because anyone can do it if they tried hard enough, reader claims. No, it’s not paranoia that’s making reader calculate the success rate of each past and future missions, they just enjoy doing it, they say in a monotone voice.
It’s honestly the only way Miguel’s able to get his revenge on reader for all the times they absolutely roasted the shit out of him.
Oh they want to finish this extremely complex math equation that they’re almost done with? Well too bad, they’re gonna have to finish it when they get back from that mission he assigned them.
Aw, are they creating a new quantum equation? That’s going to have to wait, Miguel’s sent them on a 5 person mission that’ll probably take a few hours to complete.
Are they hiding in the janitors closet with their math notebooks to avoid getting sent on their third mission of the week? Miguel’s already throwing them through the portal with Hobie.
They haven’t seen the light of day in hours, days even! Miguel claims they need to go out and socialize more instead of being a little goblin. (Super hypocritical reader mutters)
Missions are a complete pain because of the lack of communication happening on teen!readers end💔 and if that’s not the problem, than their extremely blunt and lack of social cues will be the end of them
They either don’t say enough or say just a little too much (a lot too much). It’s especially hard for them to find a balance😭
And I think that’s why Hobie would like them. They quite literally have no filter whatsoever, and yeah that may not be an amazing thing to not have, but he just enjoys the honesty of it in the end
He doesn’t take it to heart too when his advances go completely over readers head LMAO
This was such a fun thing to think about, pls send in more thoughts about this reader, they have so much potential to be a silly goober💔💔💔

radhika kumari is in Los Angeles, CA.
Researchers at Columbia University just achieved something that sounds like science fiction. They built a neural network and fed it raw video footage of swinging pendulums, rolling balls, and bouncing objects. No equations. No Newton. No Einstein. No context whatsoever.
WHAT HAPPENED NEXT IS INCREDIBLE:
After analyzing patterns for hours, the AI produced what scientists call "new coordinates of understanding" - completely original variables that don't exist in our current physics textbooks. These weren't familiar measurements like mass, speed, or time. They were abstract, alien parameters that the AI created from scratch.
THE SHOCKING DISCOVERY:
When researchers reverse-engineered what the AI had learned, they found it had rediscovered classical mechanics - but using its own symbolic language! Some variables even hinted at hidden symmetries that human physicists hadn't noticed before.
WHY THIS CHANGES EVERYTHING:
Instead of programming physics into machines, we're now letting them observe the universe like infants - learning not just our physics, but possibly BETTER physics. The potential breakthroughs in quantum gravity, dark matter, and cosmology could be enormous.
THE BIG QUESTION:
This raises a haunting possibility: What if the universe is ultimately more understandable to AI than to human minds? What other laws of physics are we missing simply because we don't have the right variables?
We might be witnessing the birth of a completely new way to study reality.

time lords on casual tv (or whatever it is they have?)
What's on Time Lord TV?
You probably picture Time Lords constantly embroiled in complex temporal stuff, but they do have their own forms of TV entertainment. Here’s a glimpse into what Time Lords might watch during their downtime:
📺 Public Register Video and Public Access Television
These are the primary sources of media content on Gallifrey. Public Register Video holovids are viewed on advanced plasma image media screens and are also in 5-dimensional cinemas. Time Lords can also use telepathic holograms. They also have Public Access Television, which has 87,656,432 channels. Yes, 87,656,432 channels.
Major Ceremonies and Traditional Events: Coverage of important cultural and ceremonial events on Gallifrey.
Presidential Bulletin: A daily broadcast with all the news about the Capitol, keeping Gallifreyans informed about the latest political and social developments. It's also their only news source - they don't have mass media.
Observatory Reports: Official reports from the Observatories to keep Gallifreyans updated on the cosmos, but mainly focused on stellar weather patterns and other cosmic phenomena.
Emergency Regenerations: Occasional broadcasts of emergency regenerations.
📜 More Broadcasts
These are more speculative.
Temporal Dramas: Serialised stories involving the intricate lives of various Time Lords, filled with political intrigue, historical reenactments, and temporal wibbly-wobbly.
Documentaries: In-depth documentaries on quantum mechanics, time travel, and the histories of various civilisations across the universe as well as their own.
Artistic Performances: Time Lords appreciate high culture, so performances might include temporal sculptures that shift through different eras, epic poetry recitals that span centuries, and musical compositions that incorporate time manipulation elements.
Game Shows: Featuring complex mental challenges and puzzles that test a Time Lord’s knowledge of history, science, and temporal mechanics. Though since they don't really use money, it's probably more to show off than win a prize.
Cultural Exchanges: Programs that explore the cultures of other species and civilisations.
Philosophical Debates: Discussions on the nature of time, existence, and the ethical implications of time travel, often featuring prominent Time Lords and philosophers.
Sitcoms and Stand-up Shows: Contrary to popular assumption, Gallifreyans do have a sense of humour, and there are working comedians.
Kids' TV: Children on Gallifrey aren't really treated like children - you won't find Sesame Street or the Teletubbies on here, just hardcore education.
🏫 So ...
So, while they might not have "Casual TV" in the human sense, the Time Lords certainly know how to keep themselves entertained. And with 87,656,432 channels, don't tell me you can't find something to watch.

(Listen to the music to enhance the reading experience.)
Eight years ago, Florence greeted Charlotte Stark not with fanfare, but with quiet curiosity. A name whispered along marble corridors of old Italian banking halls, in the leather-scented salons of private innovation clubs, and in university courtyards where theory wrestled with practice. Back then, she was an outsider. Today, she is Florence’s beating heart of intellect, innovation, and influence — a sovereign force whose dominion spans the realm of economic reformation, cognitive technology, and futurist philosophy.
The transformation was not gradual; it was exponential.
She arrived in 2017 — twenty-four, enigmatic, American-born but philosophically borderless. Charlotte Stark, then a polymath fresh off a controversial exit from a U.S. think tank, stepped into Florence with a singular mission: to redefine how cities think, build, and thrive.
In her first public appearance, held in the minimalist atrium of the Istituto per le Scienze Cognitive Avanzate, Charlotte addressed an audience of jaded economists and optimistic engineers. They expected tech jargon and futurist fluff. What they got was clarity wrapped in elegance:
“Economics is not the study of money,” she said, eyes calm, voice measured. “It is the study of vision. Currency is just the applause.”
That quote would go on to become the opening line of The Stark Doctrine, a widely circulated economic paper that challenged the traditional GDP framework and introduced the Vision-Impact Gradient — a new metric for evaluating a nation’s worth by its ability to manifest intent into scalable change.
In less than two years, Stark Novae, her self-founded think-and-do tank, had revitalized a decaying Florentine industrial park and turned it into a cybernetic incubator zone. Her work fused predictive AI, sustainable energy models, and economic behavioral theory. What struck most was not just what she built — but how.
She implemented Italy’s first decentralized AI-governed green grid in a consortium of Tuscan towns. Energy costs dropped. Community trust surged. Stark Novae was suddenly not just admired, it was followed.
In a 2020 interview at TechFlorence, she stunned the room by asking:
“Why are we still romanticizing fossil energy in a city that gave us the Renaissance? If Leonardo da Vinci were alive today, he’d be programming synthetic photosynthesis, not painting ceilings.”
Florence, a city that once resisted outsiders’ dominance, embraced her. Even the most traditional Italian institutions — the Accademia delle Scienze, the Chamber of Commerce, and the Vatican’s AI-Ethics Council — sought her counsel.
As the world began turning to Florence for innovation models, Charlotte became the epicenter. She didn’t chase markets; markets began to orbit her.
Her public lectures drew thousands — but it was her closed-door midnight salons that rewrote policy. In the candlelit backrooms of converted convents, she’d gather philosophers, bioengineers, quantum coders, and chefs. Conversations ranged from post-human cognition to the future of bread.
A local journalist once called her “the high priestess of synthesis — she speaks like she’s explaining the future to the past.”
In 2023, she co-authored The Cognitive City, a blueprint for cities run on adaptive neural logic. That document, now translated into 18 languages, became required reading in design schools and U.N. developmental summits.
She was no longer just a thinker. She was a shaper.
Her empire expanded: A NeuroDynamics Lab outside Siena. A Civic Ethics Simulator used by mayors across Europe. A Reality Layer Protocol — a semi-augmented environment designed to re-train human attention spans — quietly beta-tested in schools under her nonprofit, Synapse Florence.
And she never lost the flair.
Riding through Oltrarno, in tailored trousers and fingerless gloves, she became as much a part of Florence’s daily myth as Brunelleschi’s dome. She quoted Foucault at wine tastings, debated political economy in vintage cafés, and had standing Tuesday breakfasts with local grandmothers who adored her fluent Italian and her deep love for saffron risotto.
The world watched as Charlotte took the stage at the Telekinesis - Intellect Union Conference 2025, held poetically at Galileo’s restored observatory.
Dressed in stark ivory and soft steel blue, she walked to the podium with the solemn grace of someone about to shift a paradigm.
“Telekinesis is not a fantasy,” she opened. “It’s the final frontier of cognitive bandwidth. The mind, if given the right conditions and interface, is the most efficient processor known to man. The question is not how — but why haven’t we yet?”
She then unveiled NeuroBridge v1.4, a functioning prototype of a brain-interface conduit that allowed short-distance object manipulation through trained intent pathways. The crowd — a constellation of Nobel Laureates, policy giants, and disbelieving scientists — stood breathless as she demonstrated lifting a titanium sphere, three inches above the platform, without touching it.
The interface, according to her, was still in infancy. But the implications were seismic: intent-based interaction, neural-syntactic reprogramming, and even post-verbal cognition.
She didn’t seek applause. She simply nodded and said:
“Human potential is not capped by biology. It is capped by permission.”
Florence erupted.
Within days, investment surged. NeuroBridge became a joint project with Italian state labs, and Charlotte launched the Stark Initiative for Cognitive Sovereignty — aiming to give marginalized communities access to emerging brain-tech tools.
Today, Florence refers to her simply as La Signora della Mente — The Lady of the Mind. Her face is painted on murals next to da Vinci. Her quotes are engraved on bridges. Teenagers cite her like she’s Socrates with better hair.
She chairs four international panels. Advises two European presidents. Sleeps four hours. Meditates in hidden monasteries. Dines with artisans. Still walks into every room like she owns the blueprints of the universe.
And what of her next move?
A recent cryptic post from her official channel read:
“The future is not being invented. It’s being remembered. Like something we lost in a past life and are finally learning to rebuild.”
In Florence, Charlotte Stark is no longer a guest.
She is the standard.

Help choose Martyn's area of expertise! (How smart are you, really? 💚💛❤️ Traffic/Life SMP AU)
I need your input! I've reached a slight standstill in the writing, which is okay and part of the process (I assume, anyway). Today, we brainstorm for Martyn.
I'm having some trouble fitting an expertise to Martyn. I was originally planning for it to be philosophy or something, but I don't feel like that matches his energy. Maybe it does with the lore?
The following areas of expertise are already being used: Statistics (w/ an emphasis on Probability), Quantum Physics, Coding and Programming, Marine Biology, Linguistics and Languages, Electrical Engineering, and Astronomy/Astrological Physics.
Some that I've brainstormed but don't know who they would go to are:
History, Algebra, Economics, Psychology, Sociology, Chemistry, Environmental Studies, Human Anatomy (Medicine?), Journalism, Communication Studies, and Philosophy.
Feel free to comment your ideas, reblog, or leave them in the ask box! The sooner, the better, so I can carry on writing.
Thanks for helping out!
- Frankie <3
