Mes dessins de 2022 (partie 2)

Voici mes autres dessins! (ils n’y sont pas tous, certains sont réservés pour le serveur, voili voilou)

Depuis juillet 2021, j’écris une fanfiction dans un AU où Donatien est mort, et avec cet AU, j’ai accepté de canoniser un HC d’une de mes lectautres qui est que l’écharpe de Kiddy lui vient de Donatien, et j’ai donc j’ait un dessin pour représenter cela, avec Kiddy, petit (à droite), qui obtient l’écharpe pour la première fois, et Kiddy, grand (à gauche), qui pleure en serrant l’écharpe contre lui.

Ensuite, j’ai dessiné deux de mes OC ensemble, Lilie (gauche) et Carolina (droite)! Si vous connaissez leurs vieux designs, vous verrez qu’elles ont encore changé!

Fun fact: J’ai beau avoir créé Lilie, son prénom et son nom de famille ont changé tellement de fois que je ne sais jamais comment l’écrire :’)

J’ai découvert, dans la POV de Tim, que Lucy et lui prennent un selfie ensemble, alors j’ai redessiné ça! C’était franchement amusant, ils sont chouette à dessiner, même si Tim est un peu galère :’)

Rose est actuellement mon personnage préféré de RPZ, alors quand j’ai appris que je devais la dessiner pour la deuxième édition de la Fashion Catalog, j’étais extrêmement heureux! Je me suis franchement amusé, c’était trop cool, je l’aime si fort, vous n’imaginez même pas

Ce n’est pas que Max est mon personnage préféré de Stranger Things, cependant!, c’est un personnage que j’adore dessiner, preuve en est que c’est la quatrième fois que je fais ce dessin!

J’aime beaucoup cet exercice, ça me permet de voir mon évolution dans ma façon de dessiner, voyez?

Plus tard dans l’année, j’ai eu une envie soudaine de faire une base chibi et de dessiner tous les ships que j’aime dessus, ou du moins jusqu’à ce que j’en ai marre, j’en ai fait trois pour le moment! le Rilucie (que j’ai involontairement créé, dis donc, moi et les crackship wlw!), le Sarally et le Inirose! Ils sont mignons, hein? :3c

Is GOOD TV sustainable?

I hate the culture of TV now. The way writers are being treated sucks, and it shows in the culture.

I hate how short the seasons are. I hate that there aren't any super weird filler episodes that make you wonder if the writer's room was smoking something when they wrote them.

I hate how fan interaction isn't always enough to save a show.

On the other hand, I hate how entitled fans feel to good TV. The absolute vitriol hurled at the Game of Thrones writers for Season 8. Yes, it was bad. So what? Doesn't mean you get to bully people.

Honestly, I was just thinking about how some of my favorite shows from the 90s, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Star Trek: The Next Generation, The X-Files, etc. have episodes that are just objectively bad. But we watch them anyway, and we giggle at our little shows and how they sometimes get weird and that's okay.

I mean, for real, like really bad episodes. The BTVS episode where Buffy and Riley have so much sex they create a demon? The TNG episode where Tasha Yar is sexually harassed and later abducted by a more "primitive" species, and everyone just laughs it off? The TXF episode where Mulder and Scully both almost get killed by a few housecats? Like seriously awful episodes.

All this from some of the best sci-fi/fantasy shows ever created.

The Writer's Strike is pointing out a lot of what's bad about TV culture, and I think the inundation of new content, the speed with which content is churned out, and the entitlement we as viewers can sometimes exhibit toward our favorite shows is a culture that needs to change.

Honestly, part of me wants a couple dumb filler episodes where the characters make stupid decisions, and the stakes are unbelievably low. It's nice to have a breather in the middle of a season.

Writers get paid per episode. The new norm of the 8-episode season and a year or more between seasons means writers aren't even getting a chance to make more money, even if the payrate per episode weren't abysmal (which it is). And you can bet the fact that everyone who works on an episode has to get paid is the sole reason services are switching to shorter seasons and slashing the size of writer's rooms.

Yes, TV has gotten better in the last two decades. But at what cost? If you get a couple really stupid episodes in exchange for better working conditions for writers, I personally feel like that's a trade I'd be more than willing to make. Honestly, it's kind of a perk. Day-in-the-life content with my favorite characters? Episodes where background characters get to shine? World-building episodes that don't affect the overarching plot? Yes, please.

first, before i go absolutely batshit unhinged about national treasure, i went "aww" being addressed as "beloved on the dash." truly an esteemed title among tumblrinas.

now back to business. ur professor is so fucking correct it's such a silly feel good heist movie. and as i have discussed with my sister i am fully aware that it's something i can enjoy with very little complication bc i am both white and american but at least the first is a bit less like that than the second. all the characters have a boner for america or whatever just be aware but sometimes i'm like damn i wish i lived in whatever fantasy america ben gates believes in bc that sure isn't the one we have here. (if nothing else his speech to the president in book of secrets is good for a laugh especially in a post 2016 america BUT I DIGRESS) okay now that that's out of the way. it's such a wonderful movie. it's batshit unhinged you have nicolas cage playing a little freak who knows way way way too much about american history who looks like he's having a midlife crisis to everyone who doesn't know him and also those who do but actually he's just Like That. he's the fox mulder of treasure hunters with his emotional support nerd and they steal the fucking declaration of independence like. i feel like that alone should convince anyone who even knows what the declaration of independence is to watch it. it's fucking hilarious. they're stealing one of their country's most important/famous historical documents to keep some OTHER british guys from stealing it because there's a treasure map (A TREASURE MAP!!!) on the back. have you ever heard of a more ridiculously delightful premise. i wish every movie was like this.

plus the chemistry is great idk how they pulled that off but i wanna watch these idiots argue for hours. they're all so fucking snarky but in a fun way not in a "i am this year's 928474th marvel movie and i'm incapable of being genuine for even 2 seconds" way. and btw it's stupidly earnest about caring about history and wanting to share it with the world despite its flaws and i can't help it i'm charmed. AND as i've yelled about AT LENGHT it has in my opinion if not hte most iconic at LEAST the most gorgeous score. what the fuck was trevor rabin on in 2004. and also in 2007 for book of secrets. that dude is a musical genius.

it's as quotable as the princess bride (to me, anyway) and like idk man it's genuinely funny and absolutely ridiculous and it knows it's ridiculous and embraces that. and i love that.

i watched the entire show for one episode him. you know those characters that like you interact with as a child and they alter your entire chemical makeup for the rest of you life? he's one of those for me. that is the best (or perhaps the worst depending on how you feel about me) endorsement i can offer.

14) What’s the biggest change in your taste between when you started in fandom and today?

Honestly? I can't even remember what my tastes were when I started in fandom. I kinda came of age when fan fiction was first making its way onto the internet. Back when I first got into fandom, things were really fragmented; I remember reading my first ship (it was, uh, a little problematic so I'm definitely not going to get into that lol) and then Mulder/Scully fanfic on sites made specifically for it, since fanfiction.net didn't exist yet. Beggars couldn't be choosers, so I remember reading everything.

My tastes are a lot more discerning now. I actually don't read a ton of fic these days, but I'm trying to change that and open myself up more to different ships and tags.

I really want to read more longfic. I've mostly only read one shots and when I'm specifically searching for smut for inspiration/reference, I try to keep my searches under 10k words so I know I'm missing a whole world out there.

50) Has writing fanfic had a significant impact on your life? Would you say it’s entirely positive?

I gave Riley a kinda long-winded response to this question, so I'll keep it (very) short this time 😂 It's had such a significant impact on my life this past year that I cannot imagine living life without it now!

26) What aspect of your writing do you most enjoy to see praised?

The emotions, man. My main job as a writer is to try and translate the things I feel in my chest and the images I see in my brain into words that make you, the reader, feel something. I want folks to experience something (hopefully positive!) when they read my writing. I do really, really love it when people comment on specific lines or turns of phrase, but feedback that my fic made someone laugh or cry or (probably in the case of Ragnarök) both makes my heart sing. I go on a pretty extensive emotional journey when I write, so hearing I took a reader on an emotional journey of their own brings me so much joy.

Obviously it's a bit different for smutty one-shots - there, I just hope to hear that the smut I wrote was hot rather than cringe, haha. Although you know me, I'm apparently incapable of writing smut without bringing emotion into it, so I guess it technically still applies there too.

do you have a crush right now ? : Nope and I usually don't get crushes. I get squishes sometimes, but not crushes. I either properly fall in love or just platonic feelings, nothing in between for me and falling in love has only happened twice in my life.
