Jeepness
flickr
Jeepness by Mark Stevens Via Flickr: While in the parking area of the Little Calumet River Trailhead in Indiana Dunes National Park with a view looking to the south over and then above a rental Jeep Wrangler I driving on a recent trip visiting New River Gorge and Indiana Dunes National Parks. I got the idea for this from an image on Flickr (www.flickr.com/photos/oybay/48931723678/in/pool-dslr_auto...). The idea was to look from either behind or to the front of a vehicle and have blue skies and clouds above. Well, the day was overcast, so that wasn?t an option. It was as I began working on the image in post production that I then decided to once again try out the sky replacement setting in Photoshop with this image. The sunset colors with the clouds definitely seemed appropriate for this national park setting in what I had wanted to experience in person. So the skies are part of the Adobe stock images in Photoshop but all else is captured with my Nikon D850 SLR camera. I later worked with control points in DxO PhotoLab 4 and then made some adjustments to bring out the contrast, saturation and brightness I wanted for the final image.

Simple Trick For Better Sky Replacements With Silhouetted Trees
If you are trying ON1 Photo RAW, the ON1 plug-ins like ON1 Effects or ON1 HDR, or upgrading your ON1 software to a newer version, please consider using my affiliate link. I have a simple trick to improve the quality of sky replacements for silhouetted trees.
The Problem
Complex details like small tree branches are challenging for sky swaps. Sky Swap AI does an admirable job to detect these types of objects. Yet the masks tend to taper off toward more clustered branches, leaving the tone and color of the original sky more prominent. Depending on the replacement sky you are using, the difference can be obvious and unpleasing. In this example, the softer pale cyan sky is obviously not the same tone as the rich blue of the replacement sky.
The Solution
After using Sky Swap AI in ON1 Photo RAW, open the masking area and work with the Levels controls. Adjust the middle control point of Levels toward the left. The middle point changes the transition point from shadow to highlight. I like to work visually with the grayscale mask view turned on.
With a quick adjustment of the middle control of this slider, you’ll get a crisper mask and a more pleasing sky replacement result.

On a scale of 1-10, how tragic is it to be greeted by the sight of your family having the time of their life with your perceived Replacement after you just crawled your way out of hell trying to get back to them?

Danny meets Jason and wants to help him of his pit rage but in order to do that, Danny needed to go through the infinite realms to find someone to be able to safely replace the pit rage into something more calming than the Lazarus Pits and that's where Danny and Jason comes in to go to the Ghost Zone and had Frostbite to be the guide to get to the realm of stars.
Where every "kids" has multiple "souls" inside them and can give it to another as they wish to.
It helps when these "kids" can just die whenever they want and get reincarnated to get stronger. It's like an every week ritual.
Jason and Danny are just baffled that beings like them existed.

Sky Patched Calendar Ver. 0.25.5: A Guide for Sky Events
- Season of Nesting Post-Season Content
- Days of Nature
- Days of Color/Rainbow
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Season of Nesting Continues! 🪺 (April 15th - June 30th)
Tumblr media
Nesting Challenge Board - a permanent addition to the game, so its quests (and rewards) will remain in the game even after the Season ends.
After completing all the challenges in a tree, several props will be available to unlock: an instrument stand, a music player, and a stone figurine.
Instrument stand: Use it to set out any one instrument from your closet to play. If it’s placed in an area where other players can interact with it, they can play the instrument you set out!
Music player: Plays various pieces of music that are in the game. There are several “channels” that have their own musical themes.
Stone figurine: A decorative figure that can wear any hairstyle, hats, neck items, or capes you have in your closet. (This is a decorative item only; it will not allow players to copy and wear the same items that the stone figurine is wearing.)
Friends' Nest Preview Feature - a new feature that we’re hoping will spark inspiration for everyone: an option in your Nest menu to view other Nests. You’ll be able to “scroll” through a preview of these Nests that favors ones your friends have made while also showing Nests that other players have made too. It’s just a preview, though, so you won’t see anyone in this view, and other players won’t see anyone who might be viewing their Nest through this feature either.
Season of Nesting continues until 23:59 June 30th (all times PDT, UTC -7).
Days of Nature 🌊 (May 27 - June 16; 3 Weeks)
Tumblr media
Last year, Days of Nature had supported The Ocean Cleanup, through the American Friends of The Ocean Cleanup, as they work towards a 90% reduction of floating plastic in the world’s oceans by 2040.
Tumblr media
During the event you can find 4 event currency each day, placed in different spots around Prairie Peaks. Use these to unlock this year’s new IGC items:
Ocean Mask: 16 event currency
Ocean Blue Scarf: 40 event currency
(16 + 40 = 56 / 4 = 14 Days in order to get both items - 21 Days of the Event = 7 Days of "skip" days)
This year the event will again offer special IAPs to support charity efforts focused on real-world cleanup work in oceans and waterways.
Half of the total list price of items listed here will be donated to these efforts. The remaining amount will cover platform fees (expenses from Apple App Store, Google Play, etc) and a portion of development (operations, taxes, and post-event refunds.)
Nature Wave Pack: 19.99 USD (10.00 USD donation) - Includes 75 regular candles
Ocean Necklace: 1.99 USD (1.00 USD donation)
Nature Sonorous Seashell: 4.99 USD (2.50 USD donation) - This placeable item has a toggle to play relaxing ocean sound effects
Earth Cape: 4.99 USD (2.50 USD donation)

Nature Glasses Pack: 19.99 USD (10.00 USD donation) - A toggle for these sunglasses adds a bluer tint to the world around you; includes 75 regular Candles

Tumblr media
Half of the total list price of items listed here will be donated to these efforts. The remaining amount will cover platform fees (expenses from Apple App Store, Google Play, etc) and a portion of development (operations, taxes, and post-event refunds.)

Non-Charity Items:
IGC:

(18 + 32 = 50 / 5 = 10 Days in order to get both items - 14 days of the event = 4 "skip" days)

Puffy Clouds Float by on a Monday Afternoon in West Texas by Mark Stevens Via Flickr: A view looking up and to the southeast at a fuel station in Sonora, Texas, while driving out to Big Bend National Park. The skies that afternoon with clouds and wisps were captivating. I also wanted to capture some of these sky settings to use the Photoshop Sky Replacement tool with other images.

Which Sky Swap AI Model In Best? ON1 Photo RAW
If you are trying ON1 Photo RAW, the ON1 plug-ins like ON1 Effects or ON1 HDR, or upgrading your ON1 software to a newer version, please consider using my affiliate link. There is no extra cost to you and it helps support ON1 tutorials like this one. Ready to buy? Use the offer code SDP20 at checkout and SAVE 20%!
ON1 Photo RAW 2023 now has two AI models for Sky Swap AI - the generically named Model A and Model B. Is one better than the other? Like most things in photography … it depends.
My advice is simple.
The default for Sky Swap AI is Model A. By definition, you’ll use it when you first open the Sky Swap AI tab. In the majority of cases, Model A works fine. If the sky replacement is too aggressive, encroaching into non-sky elements, try Model B. Yeah … like I said … simple.
There are certain situations where Model B is a clear winner. In general terms, Model B works better when the sky being replaced has a similar color and tone to non-sky elements. Consider this example of a washed-out gray sky against bright, semi-washed-out blue-gray buildings. Model A is incredibly aggressive, gobbling up quite a lot of the buildings. Model B is more tempered, bleeding into the buildings much less. Model B is a clear winner, and leaves less cleanup work to do.
