Phylogenetic wild cat tournament
Bay cat lineage
Genus: Catopuma - Final
Depth: 8 (7 wins away from championship)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Only two species in this genus, so the first match is also the final.
The bay cat is far the more rare of the two, and it has a unusual bright orange coloration; the asian golden cat can be orange too, but its exact shade can change between reddish brown to buff brown, along with melanistic and spotted variants.

Most of my favorite skyrim modded followers and what I think what type of khajiit variant and furstock they'd be.
I picked a domestic cat breed and a wild cat breed for all of them. The descriptions won't have that much in it. It's more the looks I'm basing off on every character. I also picked a quad-ped and biped for each character too.
Inigo: Blue tiger/blue tabby. I mean since he's already a khajiit you can't really say you see him as anything else. But if he wasn't blue I think he'd be a white tiger variant and an American short hair. I think he would still be a Suthay and for the quad-ped he'd be a pahmar
Lucien Flavius: Orange and white tabby munchkin mix cat / Arabian sand cat.
Sometimes he reminds me of my cat named Mellow when she was a kitten honestly. I picked the Sand cat only because it's small and basically blonde.
I definitely think he'd be an alfiq mainly because I read something about them being more magically strong. I also think he'd be a Tojay or Suthay-raht.
Kaidan: Brown siberian cat/ Panther.
I picked what I thought was the most intimidating cats at the top of my and mind and picked these two. I would have given Kaidan the Maine Coone but they aren't intimidating at all and are one of the most gentle cats to have.
Definitely gives Cathay-raht or Senche-raht vibes.
Auri: Abynissian/ Cinnamon Caracal.
I picked both of these because these cats are known to be wild and energetic and they can also be seen with as red so ginger red head gang.
Definitely Ohmes-raht and Dagi vibes. Dagi for climbing and living in trees and normally I'd pick ohmes since the bosmer and phmes are very closely related, but I picked ohmes-raht because of Auri's wild nature matching with her having more cat like features.
Caryalind: Yellow Ragdoll / Asian Golden cat
The ragdoll is seen as one of the sweetest cats in the world and the fact their are ones with golden coats just scream caryalind. The Asian Golden cat is picked it just because of the golden.
He's like Dagi-raht and Ohmes vibes.
Nebarra: Fat Golden Persian / Pallas Cat.
I have a whole story of Persian Catbarra being found in an abandoned barn starving and almost dead from being mauled by wolves. When he's living with his 'savior' he has the biggest attitude but he low-key has the biggest heart.
There is art of him as a khajiit, somewhere. But it portrays him as a Pallas cat and now no one can convince me otherwise it's his spirit animal.
I gave him Suthay and Senche variants.
Khash: Russian Blue/ Rusty-Spotted Cat.
If khash was a cat I think she'd be quite Russian Blue, just because.
Tiny and dangerous. Only reason I picked the rusted-spotted cat
I think she'd be Tojay-raht and Dagi
Taliesin: Siamese / Serval. My mom always told me the Siamese had the attitude of every cat breed in the world.
And Taliesin being a high Elf with dark hair matches the servals gold fur with dark spots, and the first serval I seen had the biggest attitude I've ever seen. I think
Taliesin would be an Suthay-raht and Alfiq.
Xelzaz: Scottish Fold / Jaguar. Scottish folds are so cute and their name just sounds so mature and determined.
When I was younger I thought jaguars and leopards were the only big cats that liked water because if a video I saw of a jaguars swimming for fun.
Xelzaz gives me Suthay-raht and Alfiq vibes.
Lucifer: Oriental Short-haired / Iriomote wild cat I was either gonna pick the Cornish Rex or the 'dobby' cat for Lucifer mostly as a joke but I honestly do think that out of every cat breed he would be that.
The Iriomote-yamaneko is known for the meaning "that which has flashing eyes". If you look at the cat you'll notice it has eyes kind of similar to to Lucifer, and the fact that it's critically endangered and my lack of knowledge of this species reminds me that I barely no anything about Lucifer.
I think Lucifer would be Tojay-raht and Alfiq-raht
Remiel: Greyish/Brown Mackerel Tabby / Black Tiger (yes there was 10 found in India, look it up *beware there was a dead tiger was on the search*)
I honestly thought that her cat Numi was a Brown Mackerel tabby mostly because I thought the mackerel tabby looked the most like how I imagine Remiel.
When I think of Remiel and which colors resonate with her. I think warm dark colors mainly of Orange, red, and black. Which kind of reminded me of tigers the most, but I didn't want to give her the plain Bengal so I look to see if black tigers were a thing.
I think Remiel would be a Tojay and a Dagi mainly too climb in dwemer cities safely.
Gore: Tortieshell Tabby / Female Lion
I think the tortieshell matches Gore's beauty a lot honestly that's the only reason I picked the tortieshelk for him. I think if he'd have cats he'd have a torieshell and a Bengal.
I'm specifically saying a female lion mainly for the fact that Gore is someone who is drawn to packs and is more of a hunter and not like how Male lions are portrayed as the leader.
Gore is definitely a Suthay or Tojay-raht and Pahmar-raht. Normally I'd pick Cathay for Gore but in the conversation where he asks that you don't see him as a great-sword wielder because of him not being a someone who's super muscular and tall, it makes sense to give him a smaller body furstock because it stick to his character.
Eris Light and Shade: Nebelung (german cat) / Lynx
I only picked Nebelung because of the name and the color of its coat.
The lynx is seen as one that's very reserved and quiet. Only keeping to itself, which matches a lot with Eris's personality
I see her as an Alfiq-raht and an Ohmes.

Sun clan AU character directory
[this directory will be edited and updated as time goes on and the story progresses]
Tumblr media
THE ELDERS: older generation, live on the deeper chambers of the Shuilian Mansion and enjoy the respect and honors by all the beings in Huaguoshan.
An-kong Tudigong (Grandpa Earth God)
Earth God of Huaguoshan, appears mostly as a moss-green furred orangutan but has many forms. Reclusive and reticent, but loves dearly all the beings living on his mountain. Adoptive father of Wukong.
A-ma Longan (Grandma Dragon-Eye)
Matriarch of a monkey troop, Francois Langur. Dry yet caring, often serves as a protector of the monkeys of the mountain and a middleman between spirits and mortal creatures. Her duties were mostly taken over by Wukong after he became king. Adoptive mother of Wukong.
I-bo Lanye (Auntie Orchid-leaves)
Granddaughter of Longan, and second in command, Silvery Lutung. Fond and overbearing, takes care of the troop whenever Longan leaves to maintain the peace. Biological mother of Jinju.
Shandanmao (Coral lily cat), also called Au-bo Shanhu (Stepmom Coral)
An asian golden cat who once attempted to eat Longan, and was made to atone for her attack on the mountain's Tudipo by serving as her bodyguard.
Wukong, also called Shihou (Stone Monkey) and Xiaoshi (Little pebble)
King of Huaguoshan. Rules over several troops that live on the mountain and shelter in the Water-Curtain Cave, and helps to keep the peace and balance among the creatures and demons.
THE FOUR STALWART MARSHALS: The Monkey King's trusted second-in-commands in the kingdom's hierarchy, and Wukong's closest confidants.
Liu Jinju (Golden-Orange)
Ma Yuehua (Moon-Flower)
Ba Hongteng (Red-vine)
Beng Maqaw (Mountain-pepper)
THE GOLDEN CAPTAINS: Trusted soldiers directly under the command of the Stalwart Marshals, but especially under Jinju/Marshal Liu
Songzhen (Pine-needles)
Second-oldest of the group, a laidback Ebony Javan Langur.
Suanguo (Sour-fruit)
The youngest and grumpiest of the bunch, a red-shanked douc.
EXTENDED FAMILY: Members of the sworn brothers' kingdoms who end up joining Huaguoshan in some manner.
Erwangzi Xiangjing (Second Prince Fine-Fragrance), also known as Prince Rougui (Cinnamon)
Wukong's mate and trusted friend, Cat Ba langur. One of the rescued monkeys from the Monstrous King of Havoc's lair, trusted advisor and cousin-in-law of Yurong Wang (Golden Snub-nosed Monkey King). Charming, eloquent and wise, but wears his heart right on his sleeve. After the two kings build an alliance, Xiangjing and Wukong become quite fond of each other, and after some failed courting attempts, Wukong accepts Xiangjing's affections.
Rinrin, also called Xiaohuo (Little fire)
Ranked sentry and scout, Rhesus Macaque demon. Once part of Niu Mowang's kingdom, she sought to earn further rank and merit by learning exorcism techniques to dispel minor demons who'd dwell on the edges of the mountains. She became emotionally attached to a human demon hunter, and when she left the mountain in shame, said human followed her. She earned the friendship of Wukong swiftly, which also earned her a spot in his court despite displeasing the Bull Demon.
Xiaojie Duan
Skilled demon hunter, human. While she's accomplished in exorcising and conquering demons and spirits, her true goal was to find someone she loved to settle down and raise a family with. What luck, that said person turned out to be a demon monkey in disguise! Not one to back down from her affections, she followed after Rinrin and together they settled in Huaguoshan.
THE SEVEN PRINCELINGS: Wukong's children by order of age.
Wumiao (Witch-sprout)
Adopted first daughter, fairy crane demon. Eternally youthful and ethereally beautiful lady. Often bears a feathered fan in her hand and a pinewood sword at her waist. Gentle and demure, adores her father and siblings. Head priestess of the Huaguoshan Daoist temple, and protectress of the Heavenly gate there.
Bailian (White-face)
The largest of the quintuplets, Bailian has snow-white pale skin no matter the season or weather, and fur like clouds at dusk. Despite being the firstborn son and the only one able to walk on clouds and water, Bailian has frail health and a sickly disposition, and thus seldom interacts with the world at large. His father and siblings tend to be overprotective due to this, much to his dismay.
Liangwei (Two-tails)
The second daughter, Liangwei has a head of golden fur and two prehensile tails. She has a cunning mind and a sharp tongue, always quick to reply and twist people into knots with her words. She enjoys entertaining guests and kindred with masterful poetry and rhymes, as much as others enjoy hearing her. Her eyesight is quite poor, and she often relies on Sanyan and her tails to help her find her way around.
Sanyan (Three-eyes)
Second-born son, with a somber and dry temperament. Though his appearance seems at first not to stand out against his more visibly magical siblings, Sanyan possesses a third eye often hidden in his fur when closed. It can see the true nature of all things, though what he knows he seldom shares. Sanyan is selectively mute, and communicates through sign language or by borrowing Liangwei's sharp tongue when she's around.
Shuashua (Playful):
Third son among the five, and by far the most energetic. Most well known as a never-still blur, Shuashua is nimble and covered in colorful stripes of fur and has a snub nose. He's known for never sleeping or ever seeming to rest at all, and spending most of his time with some activity or another. Not the sharpest tool in shed, but his bright and hard-working disposition more than makes up for it.
Si'er (Four-ears)
Third daughter, and by all measures the runt of the quintuplets. She has a calm and sweet disposition, but her particularity of having four calf-like ears and sensitive hearing often tends to put off the others of her family and kingdom. Reincarnation of [redacted], aware of past life. Deeply devoted daughter and sister, tries her best to right the wrongs of the past. Has terrible tinnitus and migraines that turns her physically monstruous. Keeper of the sealed temple of [redacted].
Danxia (Cinnabar Cloud)
Adopted fourth son, human. An orphan left in Wumiao's temple. Despite growing up surrounded by demons, immortals, and fairies, the boy had no contempt for his peers, instead striving to learn as much as he could to keep up with his siblings.
THE KING'S DISCIPLES: newcomers to Huaguoshan after the fire, brought in thanks to the pilgrimage west.
Xiaoyu (little fish), Congcong (verdant), Jiazao (hearth)
Three female macaques Wukong rescued from being stable monkeys, and have stuck to the group to cater to the artifacts and run minor errands. Trained in combat by Wukong, and later joined the mountain kingdom as warrior nuns and established a Buddhist temple.

Unnecessary otherkin sideblog, main is sirenium (link)
basics: I support contradictory labels, endo systems, etc. I am queer and neurodivergent. Before you come after me for my username, I am intersex and reclaim the h-slur. More on my identity outside of alterhumanity is in my main's pinned post.
Why did I make this blog? So I can have a blog for purely otherkin related content. I may still use the other one for this stuff as well. Now with that out of the way, it's time for the comically long explanation of my alterhuman identity, featuring every single creature that I have been connected to at one point or another.
I am a polymorph, which causes my kintype list to look like this as a lot of these are forms: Borzoi, Border collie, Blue brindle pit bull, Coyote, Coastal wolf, Doberman, Dhole, German shepherd, Ibizan hound, Maned wolf, Norwegian elkhound, Silken windhound, Werewolf, Asian golden cat, Bombay cat, Bengal tiger, Black footed cat, Cougar, Cheetah, Oriental shorthair, Ocelot, Serval, Sphinx, Basking shark, Bull shark, Black-tipped reef shark, Greenland shark, Lemon shark, Leopard shark, Whale shark, Chital deer, Caribou deer, Sika deer, Taruca deer, Thorold's deer, White tail deer, Alternate (Mandela Catalogue), Bearded vulture, Black bear, Bracken (Lethal Company),Coconut octopus, Golden-capped fruit bat, Genet, Giant isopod, Incubus, Irken (Invader Zim), Kitty (Backrooms), Lynel (Legend of Zelda), Leafeon (Pokemon), Loot bug (Lethal Company), Naegleria Fowleri (commonly: brain eating amoeba), Orca, Opossum, Rook, Raccoon, Sylveon (Pokemon), Striped hyena, Spotted hyena, Vampire, Vulture bee, and Zonai (Legend of Zelda: Tears of The Kingdom).
again, a lot of these are simply forms I have taken, though others stick with me more than a face I will occasionally wear. For example, when I say I'm canine therian my mind always goes to being a doberman and a german shepherd, occasionally a coyote or a maned wolf. That does not mean I do not see myself in the others, it only means that those seem to be the most prevalent.
I am a polymorphic god specifically, meaning my polymorphism and godhood are linked. In fact, I am a god of polymorphism. As for being a vampire, my vampirism feels physical and as though it has very much carried over into this body. These things are part of my base identity as nonhuman, and so is being canine therian. As you can probably guess, my alterhumanity is highly complicated and often confusing, as I'll feel like, say, a bearded vulture one moment and a cheetah the next. It can feel unstable and chaotic. I don't have the luxury of a more stable and simple nonhuman identity, nor do I really want to. Because in finding this chaos, I have found myself.
yeah. anyways no DNI but I block literal bigots and assholes here for the sole purpose of being assholes at light speed.

Welcome to the Little Cat Showdown!!!
This is a tournament to determine the best Little Cat out there!!! This is for all members of the Felidae family except for Felis catus and the Panthera genus. The bracket is based on the Wikipedia page for Felidae. This is a single-elimination 33 team bracket, and to make the numbers easiest all three lynx species will go against each other in the first round. All polls will be tagged with #little cat showdown poll. Polls will last one week and the first round begins today, May 4. The cats were seeded based on how popular I personally think they are, and how long I've known they exist.
The mascot of the tournament is my beautiful tiger boy Lunar Apples Module (Luna for short). He has never seen any of them in his life but you can clearly tell he's related to them by the way he majestically hunts crickets in the summertime (he is an indoor cat who goes on walks on a leash and I don't think he's ever even killed a cricket. he doesn't know what to do when he catches a cricket. he just gets confused. I love him so much)
Here is the bracket!!

Learning new cat colour genetics. Hybrid introduced genes.
Basically, I learnt most of the genetics of cats and some rodents from a book called the Colour Inheritance in Small Livestock by Roy Robinson. Printed 2013.
But new genes have been discovered since, part 4.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Bengal (Asian leopard cat, ALC)-
Come in Spotted and marbled. Ocelli refers to white spots on back of ears f1-f3.
Brown- normal, but can be chocolate (choc not black markings) and golden (with Inhibitor gene)
Snow bengals- Seal lynx point (tabby point) (cs cs), seal mink (cb,cs), seal sepia (cb,cb). Eyes are blue, aqua and green or gold I'm that order.
Silver bengals- inhibitor gene, ground is white to steel grey. Markings dark grey to jet black.
Charcoal- modification of tabby gene, occur as Alc asip mismatches with domestic asip gene. So come in charcoal brown, charcoal snow and charcoal silver. Barely any rufousing, black markings. "Zoro" Mask on nose and face.
Sorrel- lighter shades of brown, similar to cinnamon. Is corin gene
Wheaten- non rufous sorrel
Whited- white fronts, face and undersides. From Asian leopard cat. Not linked to white spotting.
Melanistic- black self
Blue- ground pale blue grey to slate blue grey. Markings are medium to dark blue. Not recognised in bengals.
Albino- white with red/purple eyes. Pink paw pads. May have come from Asian leopard cat
Glitter- Fgfr2 mutation in domestic cats. Soft and iridescent fur. Caused by hollow spaces in hairs. Two versions. Mica looks like tiny "silicate crystals" in the hair tips. Recessive. Not on solid cats
Satin- Is whole hair shaft and have larger air cells in hairs. Causes translucency. Recessive.
Patina - dark hairs blur the basic black/ brown pattern on the back/shoulder. Causing it to look fading
Cashmere/Pardino- long haired bengal
Tumblr media
Savannah- (serval)-
Bengal colours
Servaline- a tabby that has small freckle spots. Instead of big spots
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Chausie- (jungle cat)-
Grizzle- silver tipped black. Type of glitter. From Jungle cats
Geoffery cat and oncilla hybrids had fertility issues. Margay Hybrid resemble bengal.

I’ve been taking and retaking your test for a while now however I never feel satisfied or I do until I want to change it.
I’ve wanted to ask for an analysis for but too scared to, I don’t even know if your still doing them but if you are can you do mine please? You don’t have to if you don’t want to.
Based on what I’ve read this is how it works.
INFP or INTP, Aries Sun and Pisces moon, I’m a Slyyherin or Ravenclaw (I’m Autistic so every personality quiz is a mess).
hi! of course, sorry for the delay on this! :)
based on the personality traits you mentioned, it sounds like you really relate to Ne/Si: the enthusiasm when you're exposed to new situations and ideas, the tendency towards self-expression and creativity, the development of your own perspective through firsthand experience. the aries sun/pisces moon supports this too, as the strong aries moon dampened by the artistic pisces creates someone who's passionate and emotional, though sometimes paralyzed by their own imagination and doubtful that they can be vulnerable. you seem like you thrive in the depth of the moment. hopefully this sounds accurate!
i have a few different directions in mind, but i think a good option might be small and medium wild cats? the serval was actually the first one i thought of, they're relatively reserved and passive, naturally avoidant but ambitious people who are keenly aware of the environment and social temperature around them. they seem like they'd embody someone who's very internal yet passionate, as well as attached to their comfort zone and nervous outside of it. the european wildcat is another for someone who's very independent, private, and aware. while similarly conflict-avoidant like the serval, they tend to be more hardy and adaptable. they're very self-contained creatures who make their own rules, though they're rather pragmatic and methodical in their thinking. the asian golden cat is another option that's going to be similar in personality, tending to be fairly self-contained and more vulnerable to stress than the european wildcat, overall fairly habitual, focused, and conflict-avoidant. still, all of these species are going to be pretty independent, more fitting for an INTP who leads with Ti.
you do seem like you could fit a musteloid! for something slightly more bold, the spotted skunk is a favorite form of mine that i think could fit you. they're introverted but socially tolerant and notably the sort of people who like to take life as it comes — their sense of curiosity drives them and they have a sense of confidence that helps them dodge trouble. they're going to be much more emotionally expressive than the wild cats, as well as much more open-minded, spontaneous, and warm towards others. the crab-eating raccoon is a more introverted flavor of the typical common raccoon as they tend to be more internal, easy-going, and cautious. but like the common raccoon, they're highly aware and adventurous — flexibility is a key trait of theirs, and they prefer working smarter rather than harder. like the skunk, they're more spontaneous than inclined to plan ahead, and are eager to get their hands on things so long as it isn't too risky or will put them in the spotlight. the red panda seems a little too retiring and modest for you, though if you're someone who's more stubbornly independent and clings tightly to their unbothered peace, they might be worth a look!
i also wonder if you'd be interested in considering winged insects like moths, ladybugs, or mantises? moths such as the atlas moth or death's head moth are great forms for the internal and passive INFP, someone who values patience and simplicity, though has something of a curious and wandering heart. most moth forms are going to be similar to this, as well as tactful, polite, and willing to bluff to get out of situations rather than be assertive so they may be less suited for someone who strongly relates to an aries sun... so i think if you are interested in moths, large species like the atlas, luna, or imperial might be good ideas, or very distinct species like the death's head or the polyphemus. ladybugs are going to be less easy-going and more spontaneous, fickle, and bold, but they are still pretty cautious and conflict-avoidant. they're also going to be a bit more social though definitely not the emotionally dependent sort. and lastly mantises really give me that INxP slytherin/ravenclaw vibe as they're pretty private, observant, and patiently ambitious. they do tend to be pretty anxious and defensive as insect daemons; one could expect them to be easily stressed when circumstances are beyond their control or when they're met with the unexpected. not at all flexible but highly perceptive and cunning. the european mantis is pretty classic, but other interesting species include the orchid mantis, devils flower mantis, ghost mantis, and unicorn mantis. a species that's more widespread and adaptable to more climates might suit you better, like the european or chinese mantis.
hope this helps! :)

Bengal Cat Size, Adoption, Personality, Price & Kitten Special Food
The Bengal cat is a domesticated cat breed created from the hybrid of domestic cats, specifically the spotted Egyptian Mau, with the Asian leopard cat. The name of the breed comes from the taxonomic name of the leopard cat.
Bengals have a wild appearance; Their golden shimmer comes from their leopard cat lineage, and their coats may show spots, rosettes, arrowheads, or marbling. They are an energetic breed that requires a lot of exercise and play.
They are athletes: agile and graceful with a strong, muscular body, in the form of a cat that looks as if they are in the woods.
Despite their wild appearance, Bengal cats are actually quite affectionate to their human families. That said, they also have high energy and a fun, playful side. They want to be active and need a home that matches their energy.
If you can meet the Bengal’s exercise needs, you will have a smart, loving cat that can keep you on your toes.
It is important to remember that cats of any breed can suffer from health problems throughout their lives. A good pet insurance plan can help prepare you to give your cat the care it needs at any age.
Vital Stats:
Life Span: 10 to 16 yearsLength: 17 to 22 inches tall not includingOrigin: USAWeight: 8 to 17 pounds
History
With its distinctive spotted coat and large size, the Bengal looks like a wild cat, but although one of its ancestors is a small, wild Asian leopard cat (leopard print cat breed), it is a domestic cat.
Bengals take their name from Felis bengalensis, the scientific name for the Asian leopard cat. They were created through a cross between an Asian Leopard Cat which could be purchased at pet stores in the 1950s and 1960s.
Jean Mill, a breeder in California, was the first to create such a cross, but not because he wanted to create a new breed.

She had acquired a leopard cat and allowed her to live with a black tom cat so that she would not be left alone. To her surprise, since she did not think the two species would mate, kittens resulted, and Mill kept a single female. Taking her back to her father produced spotted and solid kittens.
Around the same time, Dr. Willard Centerwall was crossing Asian leopard cats with domestic cats at Loyola University. Leopard cats were resistant to the feline leukemia virus, so researchers were interested to find out whether this trait could be passed on to the hybrid offspring.
Various breeders showed interest in developing the cats as a breed. Mill was one of them. Changes in her life had caused her to give up having a cat, but she was ready to start all over again. She had obtained some hybrids of Dr. Centerwall and searched for suitable males to breed them.
One was an orange domestic shorthair found all over India, and the other was a brown-spotted tabby obtained from a shelter.
Bengals are known to be the same as domestic cats today, and any Bengals purchased must be at least four generations removed from any ancestors with wild bloodlines.
The first cat association to recognize the Bengal was The International Cat Association, which granted experimental status to the breed in 1983, followed by full recognition in 1991.
The Bengal is also recognized by the American Cat Fanciers Association, the Canadian Cat Association, and United Felines. organization.
Bengal cats are so in demand that a British woman paid more than $50,000 for her Bengal cat in 1990, dubbing them the “Rolls Royce” of feline companions.
