There are probably 6000 issues with the links etc and I am working them all out. Hopefully, not too many! And at least you will have an idea as to what is out there this year! Thanks to everyone who offered fanfics, items and fan works!

So the auction works the same as other years. If you would like to bid on an item, click the link and it brings you to a google form. Fill in your email and the amount you would like to bid.

Now, this year I MAY (not sure yet, so we will see) have figured out how to get the bids to go to a spreadsheet so you can all see what is going on without me having to update the page with the high bid every day. If not, I will just update the list every day with the highest bid.

The auction will remain open until the 10th of October. This gives me time to make sure all the links are working and deal with any initial issues. On the 10th I will close the pages for bids and then update the Tumblr page with the final total.

Once I have the highest bid, I will email the donor and the winner and then they can work it out how to deliver the item/fanfic once the donation has been made to Switchboard. All I need is proof of your donation (i.e a forward of the confirmation email).

This has worked well over the past few years and everyone who is literally sending an item has agreed to pay for postage. If this ends up being an issue later on, let me know, and I can work it out.

Back in 1990, George Perez produced a stunning 12 plate portfolio of Batman artwork, including his covers for "A Lonely Place of Dying"

However, he also did a thirteenth plate for an edition which was only available from Warner Bros Stores (Remember those?)

And what a plate it was, Batman and Robin sneaking through a nightmarish Gothic... Cathedral? Asylum? Petting Zoo (It is Gotham City)

And the villains! Anarky, Catman, Joker, Catwoman, Killer Croc, Poison Ivy, Ra's Al Ghul, Black Mask, Two-Face, Riddler, Clayface III, Scarecrow, Cavalier, Penguin, Tweedledee, Deadshot, Mad Hatter, Killer Moth, Tweedledum, Dagger and Dr Phosphorus (and I've probably missed a few)

It genuinely depresses me how brendon ruined panic, like I didn’t feel anything when he ended it earlier this year but if I was a fan of panic in 2009 their split would have CRUSHED me. Like patd used to be so unique and good and something just really special but brendon turned it into the most generic pop that wasn’t even good. Fever and pretty odd are both amazing and not like anything else from that time or even now but pretty much everything since sounds like any other pop song. And if he made the last like 4 albums as a solo project I’d be so much happier because he didn’t need to diminish the greatness and genius of panic with his bad music. Panic went from something so special and unique to the most basic thing ever and that just really breaks my heart.

Hello!!!!! It is quite past the time to think about the Mark Gatiss birthday drive for 2023! Mark’s birthday is 17 October and I’m excited to see how much money we can raise this year! Last year we raised £515 for Switchboard LGBT+.

This will be the 8th year that we have done this!

You do not need to donate an item or purchase an item to take part. There will be a JustGiving page that you can donate to, which will be set up within the next week.

We will once again be having an auction for fan works and goods. If you'd like to donate a fic or an item please email mgbdaydrive at gmail dot com. I’m going to give people until ~the 30th of September to contact me and depending on the amount of items/fan works I may leave this open a few days after. your tags made me look up bridgerton george iii and-- oh my god. what have they done. no offence to that actor, he's a good looking fellow but What The Fuck

right? right??? where are the WIGS? where is the ROUGE? try as I might I cannot in any universe envision that man as our good george iii. he looks like he’s from once upon a time. he looks like the human equivalent of the default lego figure face. any respectable gentleman would not be caught dead in 18th century high society looking like that. god save the king but for christ’s sake not that one.

Interesting fact I just found out:

Ace's Ability "The Madness of the Jewel King" is from a play called "The Madness of King George III" who is also the king from Bridgerton so you know Ace eats that shit up like a bunch of popped corn.
