Title: Truce
Rating: T
Pairing: Vegas/Pete
Category: M/M, Three Steps to Win You Universe, Spin-Off
Summary: For the good of their football team, BSFC, Vegas and Pete must strike a truce and put aside their dislike for one another.
AN This one shot is a spin-off of the main story "Three Steps to Win You" which I decided to turn into a series because I love playing with all the characters in KPTS. In order to understand the background of this one shot, you have to read the main story, at least until chapter 3, because the moment told in this one-shot happened after the events in said chapter.
Truce
"Pete?"
Pete, who at that time, was crouching and bending on the floor to tie his shoelaces, raised his head in response to Chan, the team skipper, "Cap."
"You know we have to talk about this, right?" said Chan sternly to Pete. "The first match of the season is in three days, and today's incident in the midfield, which is your and Vegas's responsibility, absolutely can not happen on opening day."
"Understood, Cap," Pete replied as he stood up. "What happened earlier was shameful. I let my emotions cloud my better judgment and I let it control me."
At that moment, Pete didn't even dare to look at Cap's face and could only look down. His behavior earlier on the pitch, did not reflect the behavior of a good co-captain, at all. No matter how much Vegas contributed to the fiasco on the field, still, he was the co-captain, while Vegas was the new player who still had to adapt to the BSFC ways. Either way, Pete's mistake was bigger. What a shame!
Cap will retire after this season ended and left big shoes that he had to fill in. The thought of it, frankly, still made Pete break out a cold sweat, but it was a reality he had to face whether he was ready or not. Cap was already 36 years old, the fact that he could still play at this level at that age was a small miracle, it was time for him to hang up his boots. After all, how much longer did he have to babysit Pete? Pete had been a co-captain for five years, ever since he was 21. Cap had to take over captaincy when he was only 23 years old, because the previous BSFC Captain had to retire early due to injury, while Pete was already 26. No excuse, really. He even knew the exact date when he assumed the captaincy, while Cap, at that time, received no warning at all.
"You know why I chose you as a co-captain and at the same time my successor, right?" Cap asked, holding his right shoulder.
"Because I'm the oldest?"
"Pete, please..."
"Because I'm the least insane among the boys?"
Cap chuckled and then answered his own question, "One of the main reasons is because you have the sight, which only a handful of footballers have. You stand on the pitch level like the rest of us, but your eyes have capability to see the pitch as if you are standing on a higher ground, hence, at a glance, you can see everyone's position, teammates and opposing team players."
Pete just nodded in response.
"You are aware of your own strengths, right?"
"I am," said Pete. "I may not be as fast as Tay, or have nearly perfect passing accuracy like Tem, but because of the sight, I almost always move faster than my opponent because I've read their moves beforehand."
"I'm glad you are aware of your own strengths, but you are also aware that in order to fully utilize the sight, you must focus," added Cap.
"Cap, you don't have to tell me. I know I lost focus today," Pete stated, he was sure his face must be a bit red from embarrassment. "I let his taunting get under my skin."
"Your own teammate, not even an opponent."
"I know," Pete said, his face getting redder.
"Pete, you are the most level headed person in this team, you are kind, but can be firm when needed. Bottom line is, you are captain material," continued Cap. "But then Vegas came and in two weeks, I barely knew my co-captain."
Silence. Pete didn't respond to his skipper because everything he said was true. No objection at all from him.
"I realize, since Vegas debuted three years ago, and the fact that he played as attacking midfielder for our arch-enemy, the fierce rivalry in midfield between the two of you, every time BSFC and United met, is well known throughout the league. No one expected United to transfer Vegas, or surprisingly, got transferred to our team."
"I still can't believe it, Cap," said Pete, finally speaking out. "I still can't believe I have to work with the player I hate the most in the league."
"As captain you don't get to choose, you know that, right? You have to look after all the players, regardless of how you feel about each one," Cap said.
"Understood, Cap, believe me, I do."
"And I believe you," affirmed Cap. "I don't ask you two to be besties, but at least you can reach an understanding with Vegas, so you can tolerate each other presence, and most importantly support each other on the pitch for the good of the team."
"I'm working on it."
"Time is ticking and we need a quick solution. How about the three of us talk about this over lunch, hm? I'm there as a buffer between you two, just to avoid unwanted things," offered Cap, who was looking so worried.
"Cap, please, we're not kids anymore. I will handle it, okay?" asked Pete. "I need to do this on my own. You can't keep babysitting me, right? Please, have faith in me."
Cap walked over and then hugged him. "I have faith in you, always. From the first day you served as my co-captain, I knew I had chosen wisely."
"Are you sure your opinion hasn't changed when you saw my behavior on the pitch during the practice match this morning?"
"Even Superman has weakness, Vegas is your kryptonite."
"Kryptonite is better than him."
"Pete," warned Cap.
"I will take care of this matter, Cap. I'll give you my word."
"Good. When I leave this team in your hands at the end of the season, I won't be worried in the slightest. I have so much faith in you."
"I won't let you down, Cap. I promise," Pete swore solemnly.
"Good."
******
Pete decided to meet with Vegas at the Salad Bar not far from the training ground. This place also provides variants of roast chicken and other variants of lean meats. New season was starting soon, so they had to be strict with their diet. Most importantly, this Salad Bar had a private area at the back, so they were safe from BSFC's fanatic fans.
When Pete asked Vegas to meet here, in the locker room earlier, Vegas agreed without any protest, he just nodded his head in affirmation and continued to put on his clothes. Pete decided to head to the Salad Bar first, to secure their table in the private area. To save time, Pete ordered two servings of plain roasted chicken with extra large salad on the side for their lunch. As soon as Vegas arrived, they could immediately talk about the matter.
Speaking of the devil, Vegas, who wore all black, arrived and immediately sat down in the chair opposite Pete silently.
"I already ordered for us," informed Pete.
"Cool," answered Vegas curtly.
Pete felt small talk was of no use to either of them, so he decided to just get on with it.
"I don't think I need to tell you the purpose of this meeting. Everything is already clear from the start. I don't like you, you don't like me. But, we have a responsibility to this team, and we have to find a way to work together, because like Coach said earlier, midfield is our responsibility."
"Agreed. So from now on, I'd really appreciate it, if you just stopped coming into my area and snatching my balls," Vegas said coldly.
What a jerk!
If he had followed his temper, Pete's fists would have hit Vegas's annoying face by now, but what's the point, it won't solve the problem. At the moment, it was only his sense of responsibility as a co-captain and his promise to Cap, less than an hour ago, that made Pete want to hold himself back as hard as he could.
"And where exactly is your area? Coach has made it very clear that both attacking and defending in midfield is our responsibility," said Pete, as calmly as possible. "That means, you have to be willing to read my movements and vice versa, so we can move accordingly."
"Coach asking the impossible," muttered Vegas before he leaned his body slightly forward. "You know what? I think this is actually a simple matter, if only you accept your duty as a defensive midfielder."
Ugh, this little shit!
"From the time I entered the BSFC Academy until I became the pro footballer that I am today, my position has always been attacking midfielder. Why don't you just give in and take the defensive role? Besides, you came in this team late, BSFC already had an attacking midfielder."
Oh, fuck!
As soon as he uttered the last words, Pete knew he had made a misstep. He needed another approach, and he had to think fast, otherwise this matter will only get worse.
"Ever since I found out that I was transferred to BSFC, I knew this was going to happen," Vegas hissed at Pete with an accusing look. "The resentment is too deep between United and BSFC. I knew I would get nothing here but hostility."
"Watch your mouth! That's not fair at all!" yelled Pete.
"OH?" jeered Vegas.
"Fine, maybe I've never-"
"Maybe? Please..." jeered Vegas again, cutting off Pete's words.
"I KNOW I've never been nice to you, but don't you ever say that the boys are hostile to you. They never treat you less than decent," Pete hissed back at Vegas, defending the honor of his teammates.
"Only because they don't feel threatened by my presence. But that's not the case with you, is it, Mr. Attacking Midfielder?" Vegas mocked and provoked Pete's anger at the same time.
Fuck this guy!
Gods have mercy, but Pete wanted so badly to smack the smug face in front of him to pulp.
"Did you just insinuate that I felt threatened by your presence?"
"Just be honest, co-captain, you'll feel much better."
Oh, he wants honesty? I'll give him honesty.
"You know what I think?" retorted Pete. "I think you're scared. Behind that cold facade, you're actually shaking in fear that no team wants you, am I right?
"Shut up!" hissed Vegas, looking very menacing.
"O~h, did I hit a nerve?" asked Pete in a mocking voice. "United took the position of attacking midfielder from you and then replaced you with another player..."
"I said shut up!" said Vegas in a much louder voice.
Pete refused to stop and continued talking.
"... then you come to a new team, but the position is already filled. No wonder you are so desperately trying to keep that position, right?"
"SHUT UP!" shouted Vegas, hit the table loudly.
Pete was grateful that they were currently sitting in a private area. He was also grateful that the loud sound of the table being hit earlier, had made him realize that he had gone too far. After all, he was the co-captain and Vegas was his responsibility. Pete once again let Vegas' taunting get to him.
You better than this, Pete!
"Vegas, I'm out of line, forgive me." Pete decided to be the bigger man.
"You're not sorry at all," Vegas responded fiercely, not believing Pete at all.
"You want to believe me or not, it's your personal business. But, BSFC is my business and yours too. Whether we like it or not, we have to work together, or Coach will have one of us bench for the whole season."
"It's definitely me. You're the co-captain, so it's impossible for you," accused Vegas, blatantly.
"I would say, Don isn't that kind of coach, but you wouldn't believe me either," said Pete. "But, Coach shouldn't have to choose between us. BSFC has two skillful midfielders, why not make the best of them?"
"So now you're admitting that I'm a good midfielder?" asked Vegas, sounding so much calmer now.
"When did I ever say you weren't?" Pete asked back. "I will never consider a bad player as my biggest rival."
This time Vegas kept his mouth shut and didn't answer. Hm, did he just see a hint of smile?
"Can we look at this matter from another point of view?"
"What do you mean?" asked Vegas.
"Let's just say we're both taking the position as attacking midfielders, it's just that we also have additional defensive duties..."
Vegas started to snort.
"Listen to me until the end," coaxed Pete.
"Go on..."
"There are 38 games, surely we can work out a schedule. You take the offensive role for nineteen matches, and I take the other nineteen, or..."
"Or you can take the offensive role in every first half, and I'm in the second half, for all the matches," continued Vegas, finishing Pete's sentence.
"Precisely," affirmed Pete. "So, can we do that?"
Vegas was quiet for a while, before he finally reached out his hand for a handshake. "Truce?"
"Truce."

nsfw, aventurine x afab!reader, porn w plot, aventurine is ass obsessed! fingering, backshots. a lot of it. it’s all back shots.
this was heavily inspired by @hitomisuzuya !! i would’ve used a different game but i literally only know how to play blackjack because of roblox 21 😭 i also haven’t finished the tbz quests so im going off what i know and pure bullshit
how you ended up as a secretary to one of the ten stonehearts beats you. you try not to think about it too much, but the things aventurine ropes you in around different planets always confuse you! you’re just supposed to make sure he checks some stuff off a list, why are you out and about in the world like this? it doesn’t help that whenever you try to stop him, he just sweet-talks his way out of it!
you can’t even recall the name of this place, but aventurine thinks you’ve been working too hard ! so, to ‘build morale’, he asks you to escort him to the casino near the lobby. you’re about to protest but he oh so rudely waves you off ! he insists you come with him anyways.
“all you have to do is sit pretty, relax and keep your eyes on me.”
the way the words slip from his lips send a shiver straight down into your core. but you can’t think like that! this is your boss! so you clear your throat and tell him you’ll be ready in a 20 minutes, much to his satisfaction. you’re stepping into the bathroom, face flushed as you think that his words had a little more meaning than just looking at him.
now you know Aventurine is an amazing gambler, but it never ceases to amaze you watching him. he’s in his element, never hesitating to bet or accept the next game. you sir quaintly beside him, sipping on your drink as you lose yourself to the noise in the music. it’s the grating voice of an unknown man saying something to that brings you back to your universe.
your boss takes notice of this though and stretches his arm out in front of you.
“the doll is off limits.” the nickname catches you off guard but what really sets you off is the tone of his voice. what once was warm and playful is now an icy cold.
“oh,come on. how about a round of blackjack? best of three? winner gets the lady.”
a few people gather to watch the interaction as you csn feel the tension pick up. the two men never break eye contact as they size each other up. who does this man think he is? he’s about to tell him off, but aventurine feels your nimble fingers on his arm. he breaks the gaze to meet yours. his eyes are so beautiful, and you give him a small nod to let him know to go ahead. you trust him. so he turns back to the man and with a sly smile, he’s pulling off his gold-rimmed glasses to focus on the table.
“okay,let’s play.”
the first round is quick and easy. aventurine wins, 20 to 18. second one, the unknown man hits a break. it doesn’t take long for him to close it in, ending with a perfect hand. the man groans and asks for a rematch. aventurine is quick to decline though, saying your time was well spent. he turns to you and offers his hand so the two of you can leave, and you take it without a second thought.
the way back up was void of aventurines usual teasing. his eyebrows are furrowed and the look on his face is still strong, so you decide to keep your questions to yourself until you reach the room.
when you do confront him about it, he tells you that even the best gamblers know not to play with their most important prizes. the gravity of the statement doesn’t hit you until he has you pressed up against the door as he closes the gap between the two of you. his lips find yours as you instinctively move your hands up towards his neck.
he kisses just like he talks, smooth and fluid. your mouths meld perfectly together as he draws you closer to the warmth of his body. his hands reach down to grip the curve of your ass, and the squeal you make gives him access to dip his tongue further into your mouth. you’re moaning around his tongue and he’s groaning back in response while you move your hand up to grab a fistful of his hair.
aventurines outfit is expensive. you hate when it gets dirty for any reason as much as he does, but neither of you cares too much in the moment. you’re fully naked seated in his lap, while his fingers skillfully pump in and out of you. his other hand softly grinds you against him. you can feel his bulge pressing against you from behind while your slick is soaking up his gloves and he’s hissing at the mere thought of being inside you right now.
lips find the crook of your neck once more. your neck is littered with red and purple marks of possession as he speeds up his pace. you can feel it coming, and you move your hand to grip his wrist as a warning. your moans and cries become more erratic as you grip his hair once again and he groans into your skin right as you feel your orgasm crashing down. you’re shaking so much and he wraps his arms around you to hold you in place while he coos in your ear.
it’s all so wrong. watching your boss undress like this has to violate a lot of work ethics but you just can’t seem to look away. the piercing gaze he has over you sends heat between your legs. he’s moving to place his back against the headboard as he gestures for you to come closer. he’s twirling his finger, and you take the hint to throw your leg over his. you gasp at how hard he feels against you.
the way he’s stretching your tight hole almost has you doubling over. the noise he lets out is almost sinful as he’s gripping the fat of your hips to drag you down to the base of his cock. he doesn’t fail to let out a string of curses as you slowly start to bounce up and down on him. the way your ass is slapping against his skin is so fucking mesmerizing and he just can’t drag himself to look away. you’re lost in the pleasure, playing with your tits as you try to distract yourself from the burning feeling in your thighs. your pace is starting to falter, but it doesn’t go unnoticed by aventurine. he flattens his large hand against your back and pushes you flat down on the bed. he’s adjusting himself behind you and sliding right back into you without a warning.
you can’t even think straight like this! he’s fucking into you, no, pounding into you so hard you’re worried he’ll break the frame of the bed! you can’t even raise your head! your face is planted in the pristine sheets as your eyes roll back from the sheer pleasure. same can be said for the man above you though, because he doesn’t shift once! his palm connects with your ass once again and you twitch up at the sensation. he just loves the way your ass is jiggling and he can’t get enough! the words of praise he’s whispering so softly at you while he’s so violently rutting into you are making your pretty head spin so hard that you can’t even warn him that you’re about to cum! it’s the way your night writhes and the white ring around the base of his cock that starts to give it away.
by the time you’re awake again, you’re already cleaned up and under the blankets. you flush as the memories of the previous night flood back into your mind. you put your hands in your face as the man behind you starts to laugh. he drapes his arm over you and drags you close, peppering soft kisses all over your already red face as you meekly try to push him away. you don’t want him to stop though, you just love being the object of his affection!
a/n: first hsr one🫣i just love aven so much lmfao

Includes: Childhood friends to lovers, best friends to lovers, strangers to lovers, enemies to lovers, exes to lovers.
Tumblr media
Childhood Friends to Lovers
Trey Clover the boy next door
Everyone and their mother knows Trey Clover, the golden boy in your little provincial town. Sweet, intelligent, and he can bake? He’s a heartthrob in every definition of the word. But Trey’s only ever had eyes for you, his parents’ best friends’ daughter and the girl next door.
Joined at the hip from the moment you met, you’ve done it all together- but Trey’s been away at NRC for three years. You were sure he would move to the city after getting a taste of the wider world. So you’re caught off-guard when he returns to take over his family’s bakery, eight inches taller than you remember.
His eyes crinkle at the corners when he sees you, and you can feel the firmness of muscles under his shirt when you launch yourself at him, embracing him tightly. He has to bend down to hug you now, you realize. And his face is sharper now, jaw angular instead of the soft cheeks you were used to. When did that happen?
And when did he get so handsome?
Leona Kingscholar betrothed to his brother
Leona has only ever had one friend- you, the heir from the neighboring kingdom. It shouldn’t be a problem to love you the way he does, but the stars in the sky had other plans, it seemed. Because from the moment you were born, you were meant to marry Falena.
Leona has long-since learned that no matter what he does, he’ll never be enough to win the public’s love. It didn’t matter that he knew you never had feelings for Falena, or that Falena was seeing someone else in secret. His brother will be king, not him. He’ll watch you walk down the aisle towards him, and then he’ll go back to his room and take a nap, and tell himself that he won’t be upset. That’s just the way life will be.
One day, while napping behind a curtain in the royal library, he catches wind of something so very interesting. Your parents arrived in the kingdom that morning, bearing news: Falena’s engagement has been peaceably broken, by your own choice, nonetheless. It’s a huge, life-changing decision and so a formal dinner is being held, to re-discuss the terms of the treaty. Leona wants to snap you up right away to be his, but he has to bide his time. For now, he’ll meet your eye across the banquet table, scowl softening a little. He should have known that he has always been king in your heart.
Silver childhood soulmates
Right person, right place, right time. Rarely did the universe ever align so beautifully. From your first meeting at the tender age of five to the time you were accepted into NRC, Silver has always been by your side.
He’s the first thing you see when you wake up in the mornings and the final good night you say before going to sleep. When small birds land on your desk and deposit gifts of acorns and flowers to you, you know exactly who they were from and who was thinking of you at the moment. And when you look at your handsome knight, you can’t help but imagine him by your side, every step of the way for the rest of your life.
Silver is more than just your best friend and first love. He is your person, through and through.
Best Friends to Lovers
Epel Felmier first friend, first love
You met Epel on the first day of school, getting beat up by a blonde upperclassman in the hallway. Much to the surprise of both boys, you jumped in to help him- pulling him off the ground and scolding the taller boy, who merely scoffed and wandered off. Though Epel’s ego was a bit bruised, he was grateful to you for helping him.
Epel became your constant companion after that. You could listen to him talk for hours while laying on the floor of your dorm room, a bag of apple chips in hand. His roguish accent and mischievous jokes charm you a little more each day, making him more than just the rough-hewn boy you met at the entrance ceremony not long ago.
His grandparents know all about you from the letters he sends home. Even in ink, they can sense his lovestruck heart. They had felt the same way when they started courting all those years ago. The Felmier family are fools in love, it seems. You would call him your best friend if someone asked, but Epel wants to be so much more.
Ace Trappola best friends to lovers
It’s pathetic how fast Ace changed his tune. The first time he met you, he was jeering you for being a magicless human. Now, he’s in love with you? When did that happen? And why did it have to be with you of all people?
Ace isn’t fooling himself. He knows why it’s you. It’s simply because no one could ever capture his heart the same way you do, with your smiles and your laughs and the way you look at him in both disapproval and exasperated fondness when he makes a crude joke.
Don’t act surprised when he holds your hand out of the blue or when he searches your face with those eyes, wondering what it would feel like to kiss you silly right then and there. He wants you, not anyone else, and it’s driving him crazy.
Kalim Al-Asim what are we?
Everyone thinks you and Kalim are dating already. You joke about it all the time. Oh, yeah, we’re partners in crime! Soulmates! Two sides of the same coin- but the line between teasing and reality has begun to blur. Once, you even made a jibe that you’d marry him one day, and Kalim got you an actual ring! It was so extravagant- a ruby inlaid with smaller gilded gems along the edges. He told you it was a family treasure, kept in the storerooms of Scarabia and just waiting to adorn the hand of the right person.
You tried to refuse, but he insisted. Money wasn’t something the Al-Asim heir ever had to worry about. So you go along with it, the golden band rubbing between your fingers and his when you walk down the halls, hands interlaced.
How does Kalim really feel about you? You’re not sure, so one day you ask- Kalim, what are we?
He looks at you curiously. “Aren’t we engaged?”
Strangers to Lovers
Deuce Spade the hallway crush
Every day between alchemy and history of magic, Deuce finds himself scanning faces in the hallway for someone who makes his face flush and his palms turn sweaty. And every day when you catch his eye and send him a wave, he finds himself tangled up a little more in his heartstrings, tripping over his feet as he tries to return your greeting.
He’s not sure when he first noticed you. Maybe it was when he fumbled and nearly dropped a potion on the carpet, and you caught it. His heart did flutter a bit then, but maybe that was because he nearly messed up the project he had been working on all night. He wants to talk to you again so badly- more than just a ‘hello‘ or a ‘thanks.’ He wants to brighten up your day just by walking by, like you do for him. Maybe if he becomes an honors student, then you’ll finally notice him too.
Jack Howl the mysterious savior
Being hounded by a group of rogue students wasn’t in your plans for the day. Trying to slip between the mob, avoiding their prying hands and sharp words, a sudden growl makes them all look up. A tall boy with wolflike ears towers over them.
Leave them alone. His voice is sharp, like a dog's canines. Golden eyes meet yours, steely and cold, but they soften for a moment when you manage to say thank you.
Your savior rubs the back of his neck. ‘S nothing, he says gruffly, but the lingering traces of blush on his face tell a different story. Only when he leaves do you realize that you had never gotten his name. Perhaps fate will lead you to meet once again, in the near future.
Azul Ashengrotto love at first sight
One minute he’s discussing the best way to mix a potion with his lab partner. The next, he’s sitting straight in his chair, eyes blown wide when you walk into the room. You’ve ensnared Azul Ashengrotto’s attention and heart without a single word. And when you finally say hi to him, ignorant of his shady dealings and strange company, he’s caught- hook, line, and sinker.
Azul begins to do things for you. Not in the way he does for others, with a flourish of his pen and a snap of his fingers. No, you’re special. He could never ask anything of you.
It’s so obvious, the way he favors you and gives you the best of everything he has. But he can’t bring himself to care- not when this new feeling brings him such happiness.
Idia Shroud closer than he thought
Idia Shroud has never met you irl. No way. All you are to him is a profile picture on a leaderboard, telling him to dodge the next attack or that he’ll never beat you in the latest game the two of you are playing. You make his gloomy days a little brighter. And when they’re brighter, he finally takes a chance to step outside for a bit and go to class.
In class is where he met you. His charming desk partner, whose presence he enjoyed far more than he thought he would. He likes your jokes. He likes that you play the same games as him and nerd out about the same topics. But when he returns to the world of online anonymity, he can’t help but feel disloyal- so much so that he doesn’t notice the lilt of the voice in his speakers is the same one that rings in his ears when he falls asleep in class.
Malleus Draconia love from afar
No one knows who you are, a mere human who attends NRC. You could be dangerous as far as his retainers know. Malleus isn’t supposed to speak with you- but oh, does he want to.
He’s tried to ignore the pull towards you, but he just can’t. Why is this mere child of man lingering in his thoughts, ensnaring his every waking moment?
One night when Sebek is busy berating Silver for falling asleep on the job, he sneaks away and finds you beneath the moonlight, staring up at the stars. He’s caught like a fly in a web from the first hello.
Enemies to Lovers
Riddle Rosehearts academic rivals
He’s so annoying. With a loud voice, short stature, and short temper, you could consider Riddle Rosehearts to always be underfoot. But even you have to admire his academic prowess, his name topping the scores at every turn. And just under him, is you. How very frustrating.
You’re so focused on one-upping one another that you don’t even catch yourself when thoughts of him wander into your mind throughout the day. Of course you think of him, you’re trying to beat him. But slowly the competition turns into wondering. What does he do in his free time? What’s his favorite food, his favorite color?
Little do you know, he thinks of you too.
Ruggie Bucchi the goodhearted thief
You heard from your neighbors about the slum thief who steals things from their shops. It’s only a matter of time before he comes to you next, they warn, so be ready.
And ready you are. When a skinny boy with rounded ears atop his head tries to slip something into his pocket, you call him out. And when he dashes away, you scramble after him- tackling him in a paved alley near some dumpsters. Cans go crashing over to reveal several homeless youngsters, shivering in the cold and barely more than bones. The boy tosses the food to them before you can intervene- but why would you, when you’ve just seen what you saw?
When he comes into the bakery next time, you make sure he pays. But you also slip an extra loaf or two into his order, with a wink and a nod. Your conversations become a bit longer, a bit friendlier. He’s quite charming and you have to berate yourself for falling for a thief.
He’s stolen your heart, hasn’t he?
Floyd Leech the hallway bully
Floyd Leech. Just his name makes you groan and roll your eyes. It’s not just you he teases you in the hallway by holding your things over his head, but you seem to be his favorite. How are you supposed to get your notebook back when it’s dangling almost 8 feet above the ground, courtesy of his freakishly long arms?
The graceful solution you come up with is to kick him. Right in his eel, to summarize. His twin brother is by his side in an instant while you walk off.
Jade expects Floyd to be livid. But even when he’s doubled up on the ground in pain, he’s got a grin plastered across his face.
His shrimpy is such a badass.
Jamil Viper flirting rivals
For someone who’s usually level-headed and cool, you sure bring out Jamil’s temper. He can find a million ways to insult and discredit you, but still you’ll bounce back with some snarky, suggestive comment that just makes his blood boil.
He swears he can feel your eyes on him from across the hallways. It makes him want to pull his hood up over his face. But when you approach him, he’s as calm as ever. Why are you leaning closer, prefect, and running your hands over his tie? He’s not going to fall for your ruse, so don’t even try.
Still, his eyes can’t help but wander down to your lips, wondering if they would taste like he imagined.
Rook Hunt one-sided annoyance
It seems like you’ve gained yourself a one-man paparazzi recently. If Rook is meant to be a hunter, you have to wonder if he’s any good at his job. He never seems to conceal his presence, following you down the hallways brazenly while spouting off fake compliments about your demeanor and beauty.
Well, you thought they were fake. It’s hard to believe anyone is genuine in a school full of villains, but you might have caught the attention of the one person who actually is. His company isn’t so bad sometimes, especially when you can talk his ear off about anything and everything.
Sebek Zigvolt forced proximity
This was meant to be a partner project, not a threeway. But being paired with the great Malleus Draconia means putting up with his annoying, self-proclaimed bodyguard for the next week as well.
You pity Sebek’s alchemy partner, because he’s ignoring his own work in favor of hovering over you and his liege. His loud, unsolicited advice and passive-aggressive comments don’t make him any more bearable. By the time Thursday rolls around, you’re about ready to drop-kick him into the cauldron.
Thankfully, you and Malleus get your work done early. When you’re packing up your things to leave, you find Sebek quiet for once, deep in concentration as he rushes to finish his own work.
I don’t need the help of a human, he proclaims in that loud, obnoxious bark of his. But he doesn’t complain when you settle down next to him, stirring the potion while he measures out ingredients.
Exes to Lovers
Cater Diamond the one that got away
Cater knows you probably hate his guts. Hell, he hates his own guts for fucking up so badly. You were the best thing that ever happened to him and he drove you away with his constant neediness and self-deprecation. It took him years to realize that he was so focused on himself that he didn’t realize that you needed support too.
He’s been lonely for a while, working on himself and his problems in the shadows. It’s been a while since he last saw you- he knows you might not want to see him again anyways, but he’s changed now- both for himself and for you.
Cater wants you back, if you’ll have him.
Jade Leech second chance romance
Jade was nothing more than a talking stage that never got off the ground. He was fun to be around and a good hiking partner, but you stopped seeing him after first year ended and you no longer shared a class together.
You didn’t think of him much throughout your second and third year at NRC . But when you arrive at your new work study to meet your partner for the program, a tall, familiar figure greets you at the door.
“Jade?”
Vil Schoenheit right person, wrong time
Vil has no one but himself to blame for the downfall of your relationship. He broke things off with you after his manager advised him to- she said that a young, taken idol isn’t marketable. You need to think about your image.
The stage lights blinded him and he dropped you without a second thought. Any trace of you in his life was erased; smoothed over to perfection like a beauty filter.
But oh, how Vil regrets it when he scrolls on his phone late at night, your Magicam account pulled up to a photo of you laughing. What he wouldn’t give to have you smile like that at him again.
The icon for a DM request sits beside your profile picture. Vil regards it for a second, finger hovering over the button, then clicks.
Lilia Vanrouge facing the future
Lilia has always known that humans live short lives. In his time, he’s seen countless people born and died. It’s just a fact of human life; a phenomena he watches from the outside in- disconnected. It doesn’t dawn on him that yours too will run out until Malleus points it out- and then Lilia becomes scared.
He’ll cut you off, hiding in the shadows and avoiding your eyes until a great danger almost befalls you. It is then that Lilia realizes he’d rather have loved and lost you than never have known you at all.
Please, stay with him. You have the rest of your life, however short or long, to live by his side. Lilia would gladly warp time and face the consequences just for one more minute with you.

Lando Norris loved the Monaco Grand Prix. Who didn’t? The history behind the race, the atmosphere, it was overall an amazing experience every year. And best of all, he was able to stay at home. When travelling so often meant never staying in one place too long, he was grateful for one time a year he could sleep in his own bed the night before a race.
It was race day and, as per, the track was as chaotic as usual. From the mechanics frantically checking to make sure the cars were ready for the race to the fans filling the track to the brim, it was hard to get a moment alone. In fact, Lando had barely had one since he stepped foot on the track. He’d been pulled into meetings and interviews left, right and centre.
Amongst all the chaos he finally has some time to himself as he heads to the track for the national anthem. He’s walking in silence, head down as he makes his way over. He keeps going over the strategy for the race in his head, he’s starting in p4. Overtakes are hard on this circuit, everyone knows that. All Lando wants this race is to preserve his tyres and hold his position.
It’s like the universe made it happen. Just as he lifted his head up, he’s met with someone he never thought he’d see again. Y/n. His first true love. They were together for three years, but when it became abundantly clear that Lando would be joining Mclaren for the 2019 formula one season, they couldn’t deal with the consequences that brought for their relationship, and ultimately it ended.
She doesn’t see him, and he’s almost relieved she didn’t. It’s been seven years since the end of their relationship, and yet upon seeing her he couldn’t help but notice how beautiful she is. She’s changed, naturally, they were just teenagers when they separated. But she’s still as breathtaking as he remembers. He couldn’t be thinking about this. Not now. He pushes these feelings down, repressing them as much as he can as he finds his spot on the carpet and the national anthem begins. He needs to focus on the race.
———————————————————————
78 laps later and he was p4. Lando knew he probably wasn’t going to gain any positions during the race due to the circuit but he still can’t help but feel slightly disappointed in himself. Ever since his first win in Miami, since he was finally able to prove that he can win races, he’s craved it again. That feeling when he passed the checkered flag in first place, he wanted it again. It’s natural in his line of work to want to be the best, he’s surrounded by 19 other drivers who all want to be on that top step every weekend. But his teammate was p2, he was proud of him. Overall a good weekend for the team.
After the race was just as chaotic as the start, between interviews and press conferences and briefings, the only quiet time Lando gets is in between them. So that’s what he’s doing. Walking in silence towards the interview pen as his pr manager talks in his ear. He’s not paying attention to where he goes and so of course he has to walk into someone.
“Sor-“ He says looking up at them, expecting to send a small smile their way before continuing but that’s not what happens. “Y/n..”
“Lando…” Her voice is still as soft as it was all those years ago. He just gazes at her and neither makes a move to look away. That is until she clears her throat, looking down.
“How’ve you been?” Lando asks, a feeble attempt to get her to stay just a little longer. He doesn’t want her to walk away just yet. Just a moment longer.
“I’ve been well,” Glancing back up at him and he can tell she’s hesitant, he doesn’t blame her. Breathing out, she sighs before she speaks once more, “I watched Miami, congratulations on your first win.”
She still watched, she’d watched him win. He doesn’t quite know why he thought she wouldn’t; she’d always had a love for motorsports. It’s one thing they bonded over as teens.
“Thank you,” He can’t help the soft smile that graces his face. Lando mentally curses himself for glancing over her shoulder, being met with the slightly annoyed face of his pr manager. He should be in the pen by now.
He looks back at her, nodding. “I should probably go… it was good to see you.” She just nods at him, smiling softly, watching as he walks away.
Arriving at the pen, Lando takes a deep breath, forcing himself back into the driver headspace.
———————————————————————
Five hours later and he’s stood in a club, music blasting, bodies dancing all around him and he’s stood nursing the same drink for the past 20 minutes, taking with George. Normally Lando loves a party, out of the whole driver grid he’s the one you’re most likely to spot coming in and out of clubs on a Sunday night. But tonight he’s just not in the mood and he just can’t figure out why. Though he has reason to believe it’s got something to do with the girl he can spy dancing over George’s shoulder.
He can’t help but let his eyes dart towards her every couple minutes. He watches as she dances surrounded by people, laughing and smiling without a care in the world: he used to be able to make her do that. The countless nights they’d spend wrapped up in each other, talking about whatever came to mind, the soft giggles she’d let out anytime Lando said something even remotely funny as his hands would occupy themselves in her hair. They all came back to him as he watched her.
Clearing his throat and downing the rest of his drink, he turns to George, dismissing himself before heading to the bar and deciding he was going to drink away the thoughts of the girl that was seemingly occupying his mind like a plague. He certainly does just that and three hours later, Lando is black out drunk basically lying down in the back of a taxi as Carlos sits there with him, making sure he gets home safely.
———————————————————————
A groan immediately falls from Lando’s mouth as he wakes up with a hangover straight from hell. He buries himself under his duvet until he finally decides he needs something for the pain. Peeling the duvet off of his body, he stands up, jumping slightly at his phone ringing. It’s Carlos.
“Please remind me to never drink again,” Lando states the moment he answers the phone and he’s met with Carlos laughing into his ear.
“It’s that bad?” The spaniard asks and Lando can hear his smirk down the phone. Letting out a grumbled “yes” Lando drags himself into the bathroom where he keeps his painkillers.
“What even happened?” Carlos questions him, “Didn’t you say you weren’t gonna drink much?”
“I don’t know,” Lando sighs, swallowing the painkillers, finishing the glass of water. He’s lying. He knows why but he’s not going to tell Carlos that.
His mind drifts back to the short conversation he had with her the day before. The way she danced in the club. The way she laughed. Her smile. Shaking his head, he pushes it down. He ends the phone call with Carlos, making the excuse he’s going back to bed, hoping to sleep off the hangover.
But he can’t get back to sleep, he’s never been able to fall back asleep after waking up, envying people who find it so easy. After 10 minutes of trying, he finds himself hauling himself into his living room, sprawling out on the sofa and watching whatever Netflix recommends him.
He has no clue what he’s watching but then again, he’s not really paying attention. His mind kept travelling back to her. No matter what he tried. He told himself it was just shock. The shock of seeing her again. And before he knew it, he was opening instagram, typing in her name and clicking her most recent post.

WELCOME TO THE WORLD — alessia russo
-> three moments during pregnancy, and one which means the most.
Tumblr media
navigation
one
you and alessia had been best friends since the two of you met all the way back on the first day of primary school when you were both were just four years old. alessia was older by two months and was something she loved to use to her advantage.
"y/n i'm older so i know what's best!"
"less! you use that same excuse every time!"
the two of you being polar opposites in school, alessia being the more confident one, who loved football with her entire heart while you were definitely the more introverted one who swore you were allergic to any form of athletic activity. you instead loved having a book in your hands, escaping to another world within the story from the book.
but that's what made you too the bestest of friends and that was something neither of you would change, ever.
you had gone through school together, knowing every aspect of alessia's life and in turn she knew every aspect of your life. and the older you got the more your family's began to become more and more closer.
like when you two were little, you would sit and pick the daisies from the grass on the field making a daisy chain to give to alessia while she would run around the field with a ball at her feet a big toothy grin on her face as she did so.
as alessia got older she made sure you were at every one of her football matches and you proudly did, alessia always making sure to make the point that she played a lot better when you were standing there watching her, even if you didn't have clue what was happening.
you had to there, you were her lucky charm.
so to your families it wasn't the least bit surprising when you both began to start dating when you were 17, however you held off telling them until just a few months before alessia moved to go to university in america.
there reactions being very far from what you both imagined it being a simple — “we knew all along" with a smile and a shrug of the shoulders leaving you and alessia more confused then what your parents were.
now the both of you were 24, having been together now for seven years. alessia had came back to england having made her break through into the lionesses senior squad and was now playing for arsenal after just having the summer of her life, even if england were unable to win the world cup, you know that just making a final was a huge achievement alone.
you on the other hand had graduated from university having gotten your dream job and you couldn't be anymore prouder of your girlfriend — life with her by your side was amazing and was just about to get a whole lot better.
you were finally pregnant.
after a few failed rounds of ivf, you and less decided this would be your last try before you stopped trying for a while in order to give your body a rest however you were now stood in your bathroom shaky hands holding a positive test a huge grin taking over your face.
you had been feeling horrible for the past few days, thinking you had just gotten a tummy ache but now it all made sense there was going to be a little human growing inside of you.
alessia being at the arsenal training ground as it was the beginning of the wsl season in just a few days time, this gave you a few hours to set up a little something in a way to surprise her.
alessia was due to be home in the next ten minutes so buzzing with excitement you found a sticky note and wrote 'hello mama!' on the note and placed it next to the pregnancy test
stepping back and looking down at your stomach and admiring it, it beginning to settle in that you were about to have a baby with the girl of your dreams. thoughts of alessia with a baby over run your mind but you were soon took out of that track of through by the sound of the front door shutting.
"baby i'm home!" she called out hearing her drop her keys on the side table and her bag hitting the floor as you came over to the door a giggle slipping from you as you watched her tussle with her trainers to try and get them off.
"hi love" you smiled as she engulfed you in a hug, "how was training?" you asked as the blonde moved her head into your neck, inhaling your perfume. "good but i missed you" she mumbled into your neck as you kissed her forehead.
you hummed, "i've missed you too but i've actually got something to show you" alessia's head rising from your neck, confusion knitting over her face. "show me?" she repeated hesitantly.
you nodded, "close your eyes" alessia looking at you apprehensively, "should i be scared?" the blonde asked, a nervous smile on her face. "no! no i actually think you'll really like it — just close your eyes and trust me!" you said as the blonde finally shut her eyes, you grabbing her hands and leading her to the kitchen.
"okay.. open them!" you say standing to the side as the room is filled with silence, you waiting for alessia who is looking at the little display as you waited for her to piece everything together.
"no way- really!" alessia gasped turning to you a wide smile not so dissimilar to the one you had on your face a few hours ago. you nodded as a squeal came from the blonde as she wrapped her arms around you, twirling you around attacking you with kisses.
placing you back on the ground, her hands staying on your waist as they travelled to your stomach. making sure she's gentle both hands rest on your stomach where your little human will live for the next nine months.
"this is the best thing that has ever happened to me!" alessia mumbled before placing her lips on yours, a slow and loving kiss taking place as your hands came to cup on her cheeks as alessia's hands stayed put on your tummy.
"i love you!"
"i love you too lessi."
two
it was a rainy sunday afternoon and alessia had just gotten home from playing at meadow park, a solid win and even bagging a goal, it was all a good feeling but nothing beat being tucked up next to you as you watched tv.
you lying with alessia on the couch, her head resting on your shoulder as your legs draped over the blondes, tangling themselves within hers as she played with the rings on your fingers.
“where you going?” the blonde asked a pout on her face as you made a sudden movement to get up, looking back at the blonde with a smile, “just to get a drink?”
before you had a chance to even move any further off the couch, alessia had sprung to her feet. “i’ll get it” the blonde sweetly said, pecking your lips quickly before rushing into the kitchen, not before stopping and yelling asking what it was you actually wanted.
“just a water love!” you yelled back, hearing her open the fridge as you smiled to yourself. ever since you found out you were pregnant alessia had been amazing.
helping you whenever your morning sickness struck, giving you your weird cravings whenever you wanted, being patient with you whenever you weren’t in the best of mood because you were tired or just weren’t have the best of days, you could already tell that she was going to be an amazing mother and the little human inside you was only about the size of a peach.
"oh my god!" you gasped as alessia almost ran back in the living room.
"what's wrong?" she frantically asked confusion hitting her as she wondered why there was a big cheesy grin on your face.
"little one just kicked!" you said watching intensely at you bump to see if it would happen again. "is it not a little early for kicking?" alessia asked as you shook your head. you were just hitting the fourth and a half month mark.
you midwife had told you to keep an eye out for any movement as it would begin to happen but it would all depend on the little one growing inside as some baby's were very active inside the womb whilst other weren't.
"no, she said it would be around about now" you explained as alessia nodded, you hands going over your bump trying to feel for any movement.
"pass your hands" you told alessia as she placed your water bottle down on the coffee table at the side of the couch before handing you her hands.
you moved you top up a little more to reveal your bump which was huge but was definitely getting bigger by the day. moving your girlfriends hands around you bump hoping for her to feel your little one's movement.
"can you feel there little kicks!" you looked towards alessia, a little “wow” escaping her as she felt the little kicks as she sat in awe.
"powerful little kicks" you whispered still loud enough for the blonde to hear you as she hummed in argreement her hands still holding your bump.
"gonna be a footballer just like there mama" alessia said smugly as you shook your head in amusement. looking at the blonde, leaning forwards to plant a kiss to her cheek, as she moved the kiss landing on her lips.
three
you were back at wembley for the first time since you had found out you were pregnant, the england girls were set to face the netherlands in the uefa nations league match in hopes of securing qualification for the the olympics next year.
you were nearing six months into your pregnancy, your body was changing massively and you had your 21 week scan telling you the gender of your baby a few weeks ago and with each ultrasound you were falling more and more in love with your little one and you couldn't wait to meet them.
watching as alessia would sit in the room with you, eyes in awh of the tiny human growing in your belly. listening intensively as the heartbeat would fill the small room in the hospital.
however as the weeks were passing, alessia was growing more and more protective of you. not allowing you to pick up anything heavier than an empty bottle or allowing you to stand in your feet for too long meaning she had been taking on the roll of cooking for the past few weeks but secretly you didn't mind that as you loved her cooking.
you were meeting with alessia's mum, dad and brothers at the match, alessia having left earlier this morning to do her usual pre match routine however every half an hour there was another message asking if you were okay - the blonde had been a little wary about you coming to the match but you had assured her that you would be perfectly fine.
walking in the entrance to wembley it was quiet for now fans still not allowed to enter for another thirty minutes. seeing alessia's family in the reception area all with england jerseys on, russo and the number 23 plastered on the back. yourself with the blue england away shirt on with your girlfriends name proudly on your back.
"hi honey, how are you, and the little one?" carol asked, engulfing you in a hug, she had been amazing to you since you had found out along with your own mum - the both of them giving you plenty of advice and tips on how to deal with pregnancy symptoms.
"i'm feeling good today, happy to be out the house!" you beamed it being to longest you had been out without the urgency of needing to go home.
"and little one is very happy and healthy in there" you smiled, "this is from the scan a few weeks ago- look!" you said getting the latest scan photos up on your phone.
"going to be such a beautiful baby" carol pouted, nudging her husband and alessia's two brothers to come and look at the scan photos.
"can't wait for me to pass on all my football secrets!" gio said as you shook your head at the younger russo's childishness. "i think less will beat you to that" you chuckled as giorgio shook his head rolling his eyes at your comment.
"and who do you think she learned them off, hmm?" gio said with a smug grin as it was your turn to roll your eyes, "your dad?" you teased as he scoffed beginning to walk away in a pretend huff.
"giorgio!"
you had all made your way to the family box, gio coming out of his little huff but not before alessia had made it her mission to find you before she began her warm ups.
"are you sure your okay? you haven't got any p-" alessia began before you cut her off. "lessi, i promise you i'm fine plus your mum and dad are here so i'm not alone okay" you said placing your hands on her shoulders squeezing them a few times as the blonde nodded a few times letting out a big sigh her body relaxing a little.
"now you go out there and play the game that you love!" you smiled as she sighed loosening herself up before placing a sweet kiss on your lips.
"i love you" she whispered as you lips lingered and you hummed repeating the three word back to the blonde before pushing her in the direction of the rest of her teammates.
"come on less, she's not made of glass, she's isn't gonna break in the next ninety minutes!" hearing a thick manchester accent of non other than ella. turning your head to wave at the girl before turning to your girlfriend who had a light scowl on her face in the direction of her bestfriend.
"go on!" you nodded your head in the direction of her other teammates, as the blonde began to walk away not before kissing your goodbye on the cheek. watching as she walked off towards her friends not missing the fact she tripped on the carpeted floor, shaking your head in amusement.
"typical"
it had been a tight game between the dutch, the current score being 2-2, lauren just equalising for england. it was all to play for and england desperately needed the three points in order to put them in a good place for qualification.
alessia had been substituted in the 68' minute having been brought offf from fran kirby.
england managed to pull the win with ella scoring in stoppage time meaning england secured the three points putting them in with a chance of qualifying for the next round of the nations league.
the girls walking around, stopping and signing shirts, books, you name it while also taking photos with the fans. walking around wembley waving and thanking the fans who took the time to come and watch them play.
alessia finally gets to where the box is, looking up trying to find you and soon enough she does giving you a wave as you blow her a kiss back. as she caught it holding it close to her chest.
you were now waiting in reception for your blonde lover to emerge from the changing room, a few of the england girls coming out, waiting in the reception area to board the bus.
mary, beth and lucy being the first of girls to come out all showered, wet hair in low buns and wash bags hid under their arms with big grins all over there faces, there being a hint of surprise in their faces when they find a sight of you.
"hey y/n! how's you and the little one?" beth asked as you sat scrolling through your phone. a smile appearing on your face, sliding you phone into your pocket.
"yeah i'm good, tired and little one kicking my ribs like no tomorrow!" you sighed leaning back in the chair that you were sat on, as the three girls joined you.
"less been teaching them football tricks already?" lucy joked as you all began to laugh before getting into the conversation of how long the blonde was going to take to get ready - knowing she loved her skin and hair routines too much as you found yourself spending a lot of your time waiting for her to get ready on a mornings.
"do you know the gender yet?" mary asks as the topic changed again, "i think it'll be a girl!" the manchester girl appeared beside you as you rolled your eyes nudging her slightly as she sat down next to you.
"and then you can call it ella!" she cheekily smiled as you shook your head along with a few weird looks from the other girls.
“you can take that up with less, yeah!” you say softly, patting ella on the back as you give her a look that tells the midfielder that the answer is a definite no.
"what! just saying ella is a great name" she was the one to now roll her eyes as you chuckled shaking your head, "we did find out the gender-" you began smiling as the debate began of what you and alessia were having.
"so what's the gender then?" lucy asked the debate stopping as they had ran out of points to back up why one thought it was a girl and why one thought it was a boy.
"you'll find out in good time!" you smiled as the four began to all talk at once crowding you but luckily your saviour came to your rescue who was in the form of a tall blonde wearing a tracksuit and a massive wash bag hanging tiredly under her arm.
her blonde hair which was still wet, racked back into a low bun at the back of her head. her tired movements getting closer to you, "woah, don't crowd the pregnant lady!" she yelled walking closer to you, standing behind you as she shooed the girls away. resting her hands on your shoulders as you looked up at her with a smile, as she leaned down to place a quick kiss on your lips.
"well we wouldn't have to if she would just tell us if your having a girl or boy!" beth complained as the other three joined in with their complaints.
"we might as well tell them all together" alessia said as she began to gather the rest of the girls around in a huddle, you and less being in the center,
"what's this about russo?" georgia asked as a few others asked the same.
"well we had planned to tell you all in a different way but some are clearly too impatient. but we did find out the gender of our baby the other day and we are having a little... girl!" alessia explained leaving a few pauses just for dramatic effect as the rest of the girls cheered at the gender.
"told you mary! you owe me tenner now!"
four
you were now officially nine months pregnant and if you were being honest you were over it, you wanted nothing more than for the little one to be born for many reasons, one being so you could finally meet your little baby and two so you could get back to doing things without feeling tired after two minutes or needing to go and pee every ten minutes.
alessia with a lot of convincing had gone to training after ensuring that you were going to be okay for a few hours by your self expect you were not going to be by yourself as she had sent her mum to keep you company for the duration she was away.
not that you minded as it meant it kept your mind of the contractions you were having every few hours that had been progressively closer together since yesterday.
you knew it was going to be any time now, your hospital bag sat at the bottom of the stairs which alessia had made sure to pack and then unpack it to then repack it to make sure you had everything you and the new baby would need.
you were currently stood at the kitchen counter folding some clothes of your own while carol insisted on making you lunch, "lessi said that the.. oh" you stopped feeling another contraction wave over you this being a much more intense one that the previous ones you had been having in the past few hours.
"honey, are you okay? do you want me to call alessia?" carol asked as you hummed, leaning over on the kitchen counter trying to steady your breathing.
"okay, just keep breathing, in through your nose and breathe out through your mouth” carol soothed as she picked up her phone from the kitchen counter and pressing on the blondes contact who answered before the call even have a chance to get to the third ring.
"mum? what's wrong? is y/n-" alessia blurted out in a panic before the older women even had a chance to say hello.
"alessia! y/n is fine, but her contractions are getting slowly worse and she's going to want you here to comfort her" carol explained as a sigh of relief was heard from the other line.
"tell her i'm leaving now i'll be twenty minutes max!" alessia said in a hurry as it could be heard of her rushing around, many sounds of doors opening and closing.
"alessia, please don't panic. she's okay and if anything changes i'll call you as soon as i can" carol calmly said as the blonde on the other line hummed along rustling still heard.
"okay mum, i won't be long!" alessia quickly said before saying bye and ending the call. carol puts her phone down, you still in the same position controlling your breathing.
"she's on her way. do you have a yoga ball?" carol asked as you gave her a look wondering why on earth she would need one of them right now - pain fogging your brain for a moment.
"it's for you to bounce on, it'll help you stay upright and active" carol explained further as a knowing look came across your face - it slowly coming back to you remembering the midwife telling you about a range of exercises to do on it but admittedly you were a lot more focused on the sound of your baby's heart beat than the midwife's words.
"oh.. um i think there's one in spare room upstairs, less put it in there somewhere" you paused every few words your voice shaky as with each contraction you tried to steady your breathing - in through your nose and breathe out you were repeating to yourself.
carol telling you she would go and get it for you but not before asking you a few times if you would be okay left alone for a few minutes, you nodding and the older omens coming back a few minutes later with a bright green yoga ball.
helping you into the living room, as you lent forwards thinking it would help with the pain but really it did nothing. carol placed the bright green ball in the middle of the room and helping you find a rhythm to follow as you bounced up and down on the green ball.
it admittedly helping to reduce the intensity of the pain from the contractions as you were able to fall back into conversation with the older women but just as you did your blonde lover burst through the door with a sudden urgency.
"y/n, oh thank goodness your okay!" the blonde said out of breathe as she held her hand on her chest, as she stood in the doorway of the living room. a small laugh leaving your lips as you shared a look with her mum.
"have you ran back from coloney or something? why are you so out of breathe?" you asked a small chuckle coming from her mum but nothing from alessia as she wasn't impressed with your joke.
"sorry for being concerned for my pregnant girlfriend, but i did run to tell jonas where i was going before running to my car!" the blonde rolled her eyes before going into the kitchen to get a drink.
"sometimes you would think it was her with the pregnancy hormones" you joked to carol who laughed slightly along with you.
"i can hear you, you know!" alessia yelled from the kitchen as you laughed a little more with the older women.
an hour had passed and gradually your contractions were getting worse, carol had gone back home and told alessia to call her when you were in labour and she would be straight there with you both.
you were getting yourself a bottle of water from the fridge when you felt a popping sensation, a groan coming from you as you lent on the counter as another contraction came along.
"baby?" alessia called out from the living room, "love are you okay?" she asked again after not getting an answer, you hummed letting the last of your contraction hit.
shaking your head as another hit soon after, "n-no- i think my waters just broke" you whispered feeling slightly embarrassed as the feeling of warm liquid rushed down your legs
"breathe, love. let's get you changed and then we'll head to the hospital" alessia said softly taking your hand and leading you to get a change of clothes.
within half an hour you were changed, hospital bag in hand and being lead down the corridor to the maternity ward by a nurse.
"your midwife will be here in a few minutes to do some checks" the nurse smiled as she lead you both to a private room. you nodded your head your contractions were still very much present and very often. "thank you" alessia spoke for you as she helped you over to the bed.
like the nurse said the midwife came through the door, a few trolleys of medical equipment following her through the door as she began doing your checks and telling you how far you were dilated - 5cm.
“we can give you your epidural now, and then in about an hour or so you’ll probably be ready to start pushing” the midwife explained as both you and alessia nodded along.
“i’ll have the epidural” you said immediately after the midwife had stopped talking, the women nodding and letting you know she would be back in a couple of seconds
"i can't believe that we are going to meet our little girl soon!" alessia whispered kissing the top of you head as you got comfy in hospital bed, a smile creeping on your face it not lasting long as another contraction hit you as your face scrunched up with the sudden pain.
_
"that's it y/n, one more push and the head will be out" the midwife encouraged as you face was pooled with sweat and tears, alessia holding your hand as you squeezed the living day lights out of it.
"you doing so good love!" alessia encouraged, kissing your head as you groaned again, the midwife urging you to push again.
a few more pushes and baby's head had officially been delivered, only a few more were needed to get the rest of the baby out.
"keep pushing, baby's nearly here!" the midwife told you as you hear alessia urging you on with words of encouragement stroking your hair out of your face and within seconds of your last push, you hear a baby cry.
your swear your heart stopped for a second, looking up to alessia who was grinning from ear to ear. "you did it!" she whispered into the side of your face as tears fell down your face and your baby was passed to you on your chest.
"congratulations, you've given birth to a beautiful baby girl!" the midwife smiled as you handed you your baby, as you pushed the towel from covering your little girls face. her little cries stopping as soon as she heard yours and alessia's voices.
"she beautiful" alessia said, stroking the side of her small face, you silently nodding as you both sat admiring your little girl. excitement coursing through you as after a long, tiring nine months your little girl was here.
"welcome to the real world, little one"

"Artists have finally had enough with Meta’s predatory AI policies, but Meta’s loss is Cara’s gain. An artist-run, anti-AI social platform, Cara has grown from 40,000 to 650,000 users within the last week, catapulting it to the top of the App Store charts.
Instagram is a necessity for many artists, who use the platform to promote their work and solicit paying clients. But Meta is using public posts to train its generative AI systems, and only European users can opt out, since they’re protected by GDPR laws. Generative AI has become so front-and-center on Meta’s apps that artists reached their breaking point.
“When you put [AI] so much in their face, and then give them the option to opt out, but then increase the friction to opt out… I think that increases their anger level — like, okay now I’ve really had enough,” Jingna Zhang, a renowned photographer and founder of Cara, told TechCrunch.
Cara, which has both a web and mobile app, is like a combination of Instagram and X, but built specifically for artists. On your profile, you can host a portfolio of work, but you can also post updates to your feed like any other microblogging site.
Zhang is perfectly positioned to helm an artist-centric social network, where they can post without the risk of becoming part of a training dataset for AI. Zhang has fought on behalf of artists, recently winning an appeal in a Luxembourg court over a painter who copied one of her photographs, which she shot for Harper’s Bazaar Vietnam.
“Using a different medium was irrelevant. My work being ‘available online’ was irrelevant. Consent was necessary,” Zhang wrote on X.
Zhang and three other artists are also suing Google for allegedly using their copyrighted work to train Imagen, an AI image generator. She’s also a plaintiff in a similar lawsuit against Stability AI, Midjourney, DeviantArt and Runway AI.
“Words can’t describe how dehumanizing it is to see my name used 20,000+ times in MidJourney,” she wrote in an Instagram post. “My life’s work and who I am—reduced to meaningless fodder for a commercial image slot machine.”
Artists are so resistant to AI because the training data behind many of these image generators includes their work without their consent. These models amass such a large swath of artwork by scraping the internet for images, without regard for whether or not those images are copyrighted. It’s a slap in the face for artists – not only are their jobs endangered by AI, but that same AI is often powered by their work.
“When it comes to art, unfortunately, we just come from a fundamentally different perspective and point of view, because on the tech side, you have this strong history of open source, and people are just thinking like, well, you put it out there, so it’s for people to use,” Zhang said. “For artists, it’s a part of our selves and our identity. I would not want my best friend to make a manipulation of my work without asking me. There’s a nuance to how we see things, but I don’t think people understand that the art we do is not a product.”
This commitment to protecting artists from copyright infringement extends to Cara, which partners with the University of Chicago’s Glaze project. By using Glaze, artists who manually apply Glaze to their work on Cara have an added layer of protection against being scraped for AI.
Other projects have also stepped up to defend artists. Spawning AI, an artist-led company, has created an API that allows artists to remove their work from popular datasets. But that opt-out only works if the companies that use those datasets honor artists’ requests. So far, HuggingFace and Stability have agreed to respect Spawning’s Do Not Train registry, but artists’ work cannot be retroactively removed from models that have already been trained.
“I think there is this clash between backgrounds and expectations on what we put on the internet,” Zhang said. “For artists, we want to share our work with the world. We put it online, and we don’t charge people to view this piece of work, but it doesn’t mean that we give up our copyright, or any ownership of our work.”"

The First Meeting
Title: The First Meeting
Rating: T
Pairing: Kinn/Porsche
Category: M/M, Three Steps to Win You Universe, Spin-Off
Summary: A blind date that goes wrong leads Kinn to meet the love of his life.
AN: This one shot is a spin-off of the main story "Three Steps to Win You" which I decided to turn into a series because I love playing with all the characters in KPTS. In chapter 9 of the main story, in the conversation between Tankhun, Kinn and Porsche, Kinn mentions the issue of the first meeting between him and Porsche. This is the story. You don't have to read the main story to understand this one shot, nevertheless I hope you will give it a chance. Thank you! <3
The First Meeting
“Welcome to the Moonlight,” said Marsh excitedly as he walked into the club. “This is one of my favorite places to hang out. We’ll be safe here.”
From the tone of his voice, Kinn could tell how much the young actor liked this little jazz club. The place wasn't too big, from a glance, Kinn counted there were only a maximum of 10 tall small round tables, which were arranged far from each other. At each table there were a maximum of 3 high bar stools, but on most of the tables there were only two. Truthfully, there was still enough space for 2 or even 3 more tables, if the table arrangement was made more tightly, but it seems that the club owner prefers convenience over profit.
Stop being a businessman for one night, Kinn!
In front of these tables, there was a fairly long low stage, which on top was full of musical instruments, baby grand piano, acoustic guitar, bass guitar, contra-bass, and a saxophone.
Marsh chose a table in the middle and closest to the bar for them, which he deemed the best table in the club, for you can see the stage clearly and can easily attract the attention of the bartender to order drinks. Kinn immediately sat down at the table chosen by Marsh without protest. After all, this is his first time here.
"I really like the jazz band that will be performing tonight. Their music is very soothing and not noisy at all, so we can still talk and get to know each other," Marsh said as he placed his hand on Kinn's right hand which was on the table and smiled sweetly at him.
Out of courtesy, Kinn decided not to withdraw his hand, even though he wasn't the type who liked being touched by someone he didn't know very well. Us, his best friend since middle school, had given him a warning when he set up this blind date tonight.
"Marsh is a sweetheart, but he's a bit affectionate. Just bear it and give it a try, okay Kinn? Life is more than work and profit."
How many times had he heard the same words in different variations and from different people? His friends, his older brother, Tankhun, his Pa, and even his youngest brother, Kim, who just graduated from high school, as if he fully understands the meaning of that word, workaholic.
A workaholic (ridiculous!), Kinn never felt like he was one, but that was the word everyone around him always used to intrude on his life, which he personally thought was already perfect. Well, not perfect, per se , but surely everyone understood. He does a job that he loves, and if he needed a break or something to release the tension, his cellphone was full of contact numbers of people like him, that he can call to... let’s just say scratch each other itch, no string attached. But everyone was worried, hence here he is now, on a blind date.
“You don’t talk too much, do you?” asked Marsh.
Did he hear a hint of irritation from his date? Maybe without him realizing it, he was acting indifferent. Well, it's been a while since the last time he dated. Kinn felt a little uneasy, and tried to lighten the mood by smiling.
"Sorry, I was thinking about something, work related," Kinn reasoned. "How about some drinks? Are you ready to order?"
"Yes, please," Marsh replied, in a sweet tone, as sweet as his pretty face.
Kinn turned his head towards the bar while raising his hand. One of the servers standing in front of the bar counter came up to them swiftly.
"Are you ready to order, sir?" he asked politely.
“After you, Marsh," told Kinn who turned his head back towards the bar. For a small club, the drinks they provide here were very diverse, not only the types of the drinks but also the price range. Kinn couldn’t help himself, his business brain immediately went to work. Which company was their drink supplier? Hm, maybe the Theerapanyakul could offer them a competitive price?
“Kinn… Kinn,” called the young actor, sounded more annoyed than earlier.
Kinn immediately turned his head towards Marsh.
"You haven't ordered yet," stated Marsh curtly.
Kinn smiled at the server who waited patiently for him before ordering, "Scotch, neat."
"Chivas Regal, okay, Sir?"
“Yes, please.”
As soon as the server left them, Marsh once again talked to Kinn in a displeased tone, "I know he’s pretty, but I'm your date tonight. So, it would be greatly appreciated, if your focus is on me."
Huh?
Kinn reflexively looked back at the bar counter. Though, as soon as he turned his head, Kinn realized right away that he had made a mistake.
Kinn could hear Marsh blatantly grumbling, "Un-believable."
Call him crazy, but curiosity had overtaken him. After all, he had already made a mistake, so Kinn decided to just satisfy his curiosity.
Behind the bar counter, there was only one bartender, so that must be the person Mars was referring to. Well, he was, Kinn must admit, very good looking. Tall, medium stature, his tanned skin glows, that said young man wore black pants and a black shirt that was only buttoned up to half his chest. Pretty, indeed.
"Kinn!" yelled Marsh.
“You misunderstood, okay?,” said Kinn as soon as he shifted his focus back on Marsh. "I wasn't looking at the bartender, but at the drinks cabinet behind him. The drink selection here is pretty good, I just saw an opportunity for new business. That’s all."
"Did you even hear yourself? That is even worse, you are here with me, and still thinking about work."
Kinn was starting to lose his temper, and he took back his words just now about Marsh. This young actor isn't cute at all, especially when he was whining like this. Out of respect for Us, Kinn was still trying to save this blind date. So troublesome.
"Look, the band personnel are getting ready to play. You said this is your favorite jazz band, right? How about we just enjoy the music and I promise for the rest of the night, my focus is on you."
Marsh just nodded and then looked at the stage while sulking, his mouth actually pouting.
How old is he again? FIVE!?
Kinn was so ready to block his number even before this date was over.
The first song had not yet crossed five bars, when the bartender appeared at their table to serve their drinks personally. Up close, he looked even better, those eyes were mesmerizing, Kinn knew he was starring. Well, he was there, right in front of him.
"Oh, really now? Since when did the owner of the bar serve drinks for customers? Stop flirting with my date, so unprofessional," Marsh petulantly hissed, and Kinn was really fed up with his behavior.
“Hey, watch your tongue,” warned Kinn sharply, no longer concerned with manners.
Marsh immediately stood up from his seat as he turned to the bartender, "You know what? I'm just leaving the two of you here. Congratulations, you just lost a customer!"
The young bartender, who was apparently the owner of the jazz club, was still holding their two drinks in his hands. He looked at Marsh who was leaving with a very surprised look.
"What happened? I don't understand. Who's flirting?" he asked, looking very confused.
“It’s just a misunderstanding,” replied Kinn, who also stood up from his chair.
“My Pa was right, I shouldn't be bothering celebrities while they're chilling. But I swear, this is like the first time that I ever intended to break the rules. I haven't even had a chance to say that I like his acting,” blurted the bartender at length before realizing there was a customer in front of him. "Oh my God, forgive me, I won't bother you anymore. This is your Chivas, Sir, neat."
Don't ask the reason, because he surely couldn’t answer, but Kinn was charmed.
“So, you’re the owner of this club?” asked Kinn. “I’m shocked, because you look kinda young.”
“This jazz club actually belonged to my Pa, but Pa was no longer with us. So, I’m the one who is managing this club now,” explained the young man, who suddenly looked somber.
“I’m sorry about your Pa,” said Kinn.
“Thank you,” replied the young bartender. “I better leave you alone to enjoy the band.”
“Wait,” requested Kinn,  who immediately opened his wallet, took out a business card, and then gave it to the young man. "As fellow businessmen, can we talk for a minute, Mr...?"
“Oh, we never use last names here, another rule of this place,” he said as he held out his hand for a handshake. "I'm Porsche."
“I’m Kinn. Nice to meet you.”

ROUND 5 MATCH 6
Tumblr media
Claude propaganda:
"To say Claude has trust issues is an understatement—you have to spend half the game earning his. (Claude isn't even his real name!) Once you have it, though, he's absolutely ride or die for you until the stars go out. He is so full of heart and ambition: He wants both sides of his heritage to get along, he wants to open borders and eliminate xenophobia and promote equality between commonfolk, and deep down, I think he craves a partner to stand with him at that new dawn, or an equal who sees his vision for the future and will fight for it just as hard. Nobody believed in him when he was a kid, but if you put your faith in him, he'll return it tenfold. Some people don't like that he's calculating, or has to leave the player character at the end of the game to go back to his homeland, but both are necessary elements for his goals to change things. He will always come back, and everyone who bets against him and his love for his companions is wrong with a big fat W. #KhalidForMostDatablePrez"
"Claude is a fun little onion of facades. He calls himself the embodiment of distrust, he acts like he's carefree and without worries, an unscrupulous schemer--and so many in universe buy into that hook line and sinker. He's used to others viewing him with suspicion and uses it as armor to obscure his not-so-dark truth: that he cares immensely, that he values minimizing the loss of life, and that above all he has so much hope that people will fundamentally choose to do better given the choice.
His front guards a center that his conflict filled world would be happy to tear apart. As the child of people from two nations in constant conflict--one of which is explicitly isolationist and dehumanizes those outside its church's reach--he hasn't really had a place where he can be without his facade. As a child he thought he could run, but when confronted with the fact that this hatred existed no matter where he ran, he chose to instead try to create a more just and kind world.
His inability to let others in beyond his facade at first may lead to a sense of distance, but isn't it then all the more satisfying when you're allowed in? All he wants is a little trust, a little faith, and--like what he wants to give everyone--a chance to be better.
And like that you got a charming young lad with a fun personality that your grandma would be thrilled to have stay forever."
Josephine propaganda:
“you get to have a full Disney princess style romance with her, she is the most precious, the most sweet, I love her so much 🥺”
“Josephine's one of the "behind the scenes" companion for the protagonist and she advises them on diplomacy-related matters.
Her personal quest and romance is fairy-tale worthy: she gets threatened with assassination, you help her restore her family's fortune, you get threatened by her best friend to not break her heart, she doesn't dare to hope you mean anything serious when flirting until you spell it out for her, after which Josie agrees to a deeper relationship... And immediately after that she finds out her family has engaged her to a random noble without her knowledge!! You publicly challenge the suitor to a one-on-one duel to win her hand, she finds out and interrupts the duel because she's worried of the Inquisitor throwing literally the entire plot away and risk life in combat for her... To which of course you can confess that they're doing it because they love Josephine, and they get the cutest cutscene with Josie jumping in the Inquisitor's arms and them spinning her around before kissing each other <3 The betrothed steps away because he sees true love between the two. She and the Inquisitor stay together through the end game and after it, gaining a "second home" with her and her family.
She really believes in the Inquisitor's cause and from the very first conversations with her, she asks questions about your background and tries to make you feel welcomed (especially appreciated if the Inquisitor isn't human since people are less trusting of them). She's politically smart but dislikes violence, overall very sweet but still strong... Josie tends to overwork herself (she's a perfectionist) and at first she tries to keep a professional air at all times but if you encourage her, she will rant to you and spill all the tea about nobles lol.”

Pick a Card General Advice from Spirit
Disclaimer: Please remember, this is just a general reading from the collective, apply how it might resonate and take in consideration that tarot readings are not 100% real, you have the power to change your life anytime. Also please, regarding any kind of health issues this is no game, go to a doctor, I or spirit will never give you any advice regarding you health in this blog.
Piles: 1 - 2 -3
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Pile 1 - Hello Darling,
Spirit says you can achive your dreams, I feel you have at least one thing you want to achieve so much you have anxiety sometimes. Sometimes you even lie to yourself and decieve yourself by listening to those who say you can't do it, maybe you even might have tendecy to procastinate or sabotage your own desires. Spirit says you got this, you can do it! Fast enough you can leave all that behind and connect to your inner self. Meditate, take time to be by yourself, listen to your body, listen to your intuition. Your dreams are attaniable, you have the power of the empress in you, you deserve achieving your dreams.
Remeber you don't recieve what you want, you always recieve what you believe you can recieve. With this I don't say if you don't believe the universe won't give you opportunity, with this I say you won't believe your chances when they arrive and maybe you can leave them behind because you don't believe in yourself. Please believe in yourself, you got this, you can do it!
Pile 2 - Fairies
Pile 2, you've been working hard for a long time, and it seems the work seems to never end! take time to release all burdens and accept there's fight you cannot win and work you don't have to do. DELEGATE ON OTHERS PLEASE! Although there is things in the oven getting ready for you, finding some peace is the best. Please take time to rest.
I have the feeling there's people who don't have the best intentions near, try to not obserburden yourself just because they're there. The right time will come, there will be a trial, and you know how hard you've been working. Let go of what no longer serves, let go of these people and embrace what you learn. Set boundaries with them if you need to! don't let others take advantage of you!
Good things are comming, don't worry about that. Be present and find peace first, else you won't be able to enjoy the beautiful presents the universe has in store for you. You deserve all the good things in the world just because you breathe, there's no need to overload yourself with the work of others!
Pile 3- YingYang Kittens
Pile three balance is the key! it seems you have a lot on your plate and you struggled a lot. Spirit says you've done too much but justice will be served and you will receive your presents for your hard work,
Spirit suggests there's a lot more in accepting things as they are, you are light, you are magic and you don't need to be so hard on yourself. Where you see a little bit, spirit can tell how far you've come!
Sometimes we look at the final goal and we can't appreciate how much we changed since we started. Look back, some years ago, and compare to where you are, you will see victory and a great story of success. This is the proof you need to keep you going, release al burden and appreciate every small achievement.
Celebrate every minute, every small step, you derseve it!

POKER FACE
pairing - timeskip. sakusa kiyoomi x volleyball ref gn. reader
includes - college au, sakusa slowly losing his mind, lying (nothing bad i swear) if you squint, getting to know sakusa, new friendship things
a/n - i know this sounds weird and specific but i was reading a fic and an idea came to mind. hopefully it doesn't flop
Sakusa Kiyoomi is never late.
It's the first thing you've noticed about him since the start of the semester. The second thing is that he always looks put together.
So now as you sit on your assigned-unassigned spot in the lecture hall, the seat next to you empty and two minutes into the lecture, you wonder if something is wrong.
However, to everyone's surprise, a figure bursts through the door, immediately apologizing to the professor before beelining for his seat.
Heavy pants leave Sakusa's lips, almost as if he ran here, his curly hair slighty damp with sweat.
He plops on the chair unceremoniously and you have to hold in a laugh.
'Wow, what happened? You ran a marathon or something?'
'Practice.'
'Practice?'
You repeat the word with interest, one eyebrow rising and urging him to elaborate.
'Volleyball practice.'
'Oh?'
The professor's loud voice redirects both of your attention towards her, but you tuck away this sliver of information for later.
-
Sakusa was always rather intriguing to you. His blutness, his confidence, his disinterest for others. Even though he sounds repulsive, with you it was always the opposite.
Despite the forming friendship, if you can call it that, outside of class the two of you didn't really talk much. But you can't help yourself when you see him leaving the campus' gym one saturday morning.
Gradually speeding up you reach him in a matter of seconds, noticing the surprise on his stupidly handsome face.
'Hi!'
'What are you doing here? I've never seen you up before eleven.'
'I have work.'
Sakusa doesn't ask what you do so you don't clarify. Instead, you start a conversation while he walks back towards his dorm, presumably for a nap, and you towards the parking lot.
Just before you part ways, it's like a switch goes off in your head and you spin towards Sakusa so fast he nearly stumbles back.
'Oh, yeah! I almost forgot. Do you have any upcoming games this month?'
One of his perfect eyebrows arches up suspiciously but your smile is unwavering.
'We're playing against another university next week. Why?'
'No reason ~'
Before he even has a chance to question you further, you speedwalk towards your car, effectively hiding your triumphant giggle.
-
By the time the game finally rolls around, Sakusa has forgotten all about that weird interaction.
He's in the familiar locker room, pulling on the MSBY jersey over his head. Atsumu and Hinata are talking about something not too far away, and Bokuto walks into the room, bright and cheery despite being very late.
They step onto the court, following Meian's instructions immediately and starting their warm-up. When he's on the court, that's the only thing Sakusa cares about. Unlike Atsumu for example, he doesn't care for the crowd, doesn't care for anyone at the moment who isn't on his team.
The sound of a whistle blowing indicates that the captain's should make their approach, and for whatever reason, Sakusa looks in that direction.
His jaw almost cracked from how far it dropped when his eyes landed on you. You were standing in front of the two men, in official FIVB uniform, whistle hanging around your neck, looking professional and serious.
Sakusa blinks. Once. Twice. Three times.
You're still there. You haven't noticed him yet, or maybe you did but you don't care, and he's at a complete loss. Only once the captains start making their way back to their respective sides do you finally look at him, eyes twinkling with mischief and a hint of a smile on your lips.
-
The Black Jackals win, unsurprisingly. However, Sakusa isn't sure how he managed to score as many points as he did, since he was being watched like a hawk the entire time.
Of course it's your job, but still.
He has to wait outside the gym before you and your colleagues finally exit the building before he has a chance to talk to you.
When you step outside you immediately notice his figure lingering and you laugh on the inside, biding your colleagues goodbye before making your way over to him.
'Congratulations on the win.'
Your tone is too smug and it turns Sakusa's glare into a scowl.
'What the fuck?'
This is the first time you hear him curse and it takes all of your willpower not to snort.
'What? You did win, no?'
'That's not what I meant and you know it.'
'It's not?'
If you keep up this innocent and clueless charade, Kiyoomi might just lose his mind.
'When were you gonna tell me you were a fucking volleyball ref?'
Fueling his fire, you shrug nonchalantly.
'You never asked.'
Sakusa opens his mouth to retort, but after a second gives up, knowing that he would've made the same exact remark in your position.
He hates you.
'Is this why you asked me about the game last weekend? Isn't that a conflict of interest?'
'None of my superiors know we're classmates. And if they did they wouldn't know we're friends. So technically, no.'
That satisfied smile on yourself makes him want to kiss it off- no. Slap it off. Anything other than kiss. What the fuck?
He shakes his head to try and get rid off...whatever this is, before he huffs.
'Fine. Have it your way. I'll see you in class then.'
Something about confused Sakusa will always be amusing to you. Just as you're about to leave the premises, you catch a glimpse of orange and yellow in your peripheral vision, silently praying for Sakusa's well-being.

Part One | Part Two | Part Three | Part Four | Part Five | Part Six | Part Seven
A quiet house was never a good sign. Growing up in the foster care system teeming with other wards of the state had taught you that. Often, you were three or four to a room. There were bunk beds with sheets slotted against the ceiling or stuffed under the mattress above your own, just for some type of barrier. It was an illusion of privacy, most of the time. Because houses like that were never quiet.
When you’d moved in across from Darcy after your 18th birthday, things weren’t quiet. Above you was a Latin-American couple that would wait until just past midnight to turn on a slow, rhythmic song and dance. Their steps were soft, and calculated. They carved out time for one another every single night between shifts. Just for the two of them. You often let the thumping base lull you to sleep.
The city was just outside your window. In the summer, you could prop it open with a brick and let the sounds of cars become a backdrop. There were sirens, and when the fire hydrant on the corner was loosened, the world welcomed a cold blast of water, sprinkling into the street. That was the opposite of quiet. That made your chest feel light, and warm.
After marrying Natasha Romanoff, you settled into the loudness of her home. Your home. Veronica was constantly running around the twists and turns of the bottom floor, Clint or Kate or Darcy galloping after her with a big smile on their face. They slowed themselves to make sure they didn’t break anything, but they wanted her to win, too.
Yelena often came with the muffled sounds of Russian techno bands coming from the headphones around her neck. It was a staple to find her in the kitchen with her head down, slicing into an apple from the backyard with precision unknown. Natasha would tug the headphones off to get her attention, or to send her into annoyance.
The night that Natasha got hurt was stifled with the sound of rain. It had soaked you to the bone, dripping onto the linoleum floor and then the carpet as you ascended the stairs two at a time. You’d been at the docks later than usual, the storm that had plagued the side of the harbor was relentless and delayed shipments.
The captain of the shipping boat your family had utilized for decades wanted to discuss something over whatever crap coffee you could beat out of the machine in your office. He spoke with a thick southern drawl, his mustache was encrusted with salt and sand. You had shed your coat and tried to warm yourself up by hugging your mug to your chest. Nothing seemed to work.
While you weren’t opposed to giving the man a raise, you were not the final say. Natasha was, and you figured he could use the company more than anything. The captain flicked through books that were on the shelf, taking two or three for his next journey out to sea. It was like clockwork with him, and you indulged his need for quiet companionship each time.
When your phone rang, you never looked at the caller ID. Those who were privileged enough to get your number knew to talk without any of the pleasantries that they were used to. Clint’s voice came through the receiver in a smooth, hushed tone that made you believe he wasn’t supposed to be calling you in the first place.
“Look, y/n, there’s been an… incident.”
“What kind of incident?”
He was meant to escort her to one of the many cocktail parties that Carlos LaMuerto was throwing at his mansion that bordered the same body of water that you resided on now. They were lovely get-togethers that you often attended with your wife. This, however, was the fourth one this month and your stomach was turning at the idea of another cocktail shrimp and lamb pate.
Clint had offered, seeing the desperation in your eyes. And while Natasha was reluctant, she ultimately agreed. No news of a bust had reached you yet, nor had a gun blazing argument. While the Captain licked his dry lips and scanned the books in front of him, you continued in hushed tones.
“Nat’s hurt. It’s not a big deal, you can finish up your business. She’s just being stubborn is all.”
An escaped sigh “I’ll be there.”
No shit, she was being stubborn. Your wife was bull-headed and wouldn’t admit to the smallest defeat. It eased your nerves slightly, and only slightly, that Clint said it wasn’t a big deal. No gunshot to the back, or knife to the throat. It wasn’t good enough, however.
Natasha would be upset that you tracked mud into the house and left your boots sloshing by the door. You were panting by the time you reached the double doors that led to your bedroom. They were, of course, blocked by Clint and Kate. Yelena was leaning lazily against the railing that was parallel. She regarded you with an uninterested stare.
“You did not have to come here.” She said, “We’ve got it handled.”
“She kicked all of you out, didn’t she?”
“What? She certainly did not!”
Yelena’s voice pitched with her lie. Kate’s cheeks turned an off-shade of pink and Clint just rthe hallway, that was a good sign. Still, neither of the two moved to let you into your own room.
“If you’re not going to get out of the way, can you at least tell me what happened?”
There was a muffled reply from behind the door. With the way that the voice flitted, you knew that she was trapped on the bed. Otherwise, she would have leveled you with a glare right here and now. The words were simple “Do it, you die.”
“Oh, come on,” You whispered harshly, turning your attention to Kate instead. She was the easiest to break. “Katie, what is the harm in letting me through? I’m going to catch my death if I stay in these clothes.”
“Catch your death?” Clint scoffed “What are you? A poet from the 1800’s?”
“I’m about to be breaking your fingers if you don’t-“
“You can’t even break wind,”
The two of your voices combined as you kept at it. You didn’t’ miss the wary look that Kate shot Yelena. One way or another, you’d get into your room. You refused to be banished to the couch again, especially in wet clothes. If you had to threaten ruining the rugs with your muddy footprints, so be it.
“Oh, Jesus Christ!” You held up both of your hands, silencing the chaos of the corridor. “Nat, you are my wife, you’re hurt. Whether you like it or not, I’m coming in. Does anyone have any objections?”
Kate went to raise her hand, but Yelena yanked it back down and shook her head no. You tore into Clint with a look that could drop him dead. He relented and stepped away from the door. While you had a moment of peace, you walked into the dark of the room. She’d turned out the lights, save for the half-moon that showed a pale pattern against the carpet.
When you reached for the light switch on the wall, Natasha let out a noise that was similar to a wounded animal. You halted, your actions and made out her form on the bed. She was folded in on herself, her silhouette rigid.
“Baby,” you cooed, closing the distance between you and the bed. She grunted again, this time in pain. She attempted to turn away from you. You lowered yourself onto the sliver of bed, approaching the situation softly. “Can I turn on a light?”
“No, I’m hideous.”
You chuckled softly “I highly doubt that, my love. I can’t help if I don’t know what’s wrong.”
Natasha had never liked being vulnerable around you. It had taken a full weekend of you nursing her back to her feet after the incident on the pier for her to let herself cry. You held her for hours, her nose pressed against the small of your neck. She’d gripped onto you, as if you’d leave. But you never would.
Eventually, you saw her shadow nod. Before she could change her mind, you flicked on the lamp on the side table. It didn’t’ have a far reach, but the light was less harsh on the both of you. It was impossible not to notice the blood that had dried against Natasha’s nose, a split right down the middle.
You’d seen her with broken bones before, bruises that wrapped around her midsection. You’d put ace bandage around her ribs after drawing her a bath. This was nothing to be ashamed about. In fact, she often saw them as battle scars that would heal in a pink gash.
Her foot was wrapped up with a bag of peas and one of frozen carrots that Clint, or even Yelena had situated. There was bruising around her ankle, it looked painful and you internally winced at the coloring. She groaned into the small of her elbow.
“I want to die”
“Natty, it’s okay. This is nothing a cozy weekend inside can’t fix.”
She said something that was quiet and muffled by her arm. You didn’t understand her one bit, but she squeezed a single tear from her eye that you wiped away dutifully before it could reach the silk of sheets.
“What was that, baby?” You asked gently.
She threw both of her hands down and glared at the ceiling. Her fingers eventually found yours, squeezing your palm in reflex. Her words came out in a quick breath, “I tripped over a carpet at the stupid dinner party and hit my face on the catering table.”
You were effectively silenced. That was very un-Natasha. But lately, you and Clint had been pestering her about her eyesight, especially at night. It wasn’t something she wanted to hear. In fact, each time you brought up the idea of glasses, she would effectively silence you with a glare, or even a kick to the shin under the kitchen table if you had company.
You bit the inside of your cheek and ran your thumb over her hand. She clutched your hand tighter. Now was certainly not the time to laugh, and while you fought back the initial giggle, you were more concerned about your wife.
“I’m so embarrassed.”
“I bet you got right back up.” You said, pressing your palm against her cheek. “None of those fancy party types would dare question your influence on this city.”
“Shrimp went flying everywhere.” Natasha pouted.
“Everyone was tired of shrimp anyway, even the shrimp.”
She grasped at the collar of your jacket and pulled you closer to her, pressing her lips against your own. They were warm, the warmest thing that you’ve felt since getting caught in the passing storm. You were careful not to lean on her ribs, breathing in the rosewater scent of her.
Natasha pressed her forehead against yours, running a hand up your spine. She grimaced. “You’re all wet.”
“Well now I am,” You smirked against her jawline, leaving a little nip in your wake. “You need to get glasses.”
“Don’t change the subject. You’re getting the sheets all damp, and you smell like fish.”
“I smell like fish?” You giggled, pressing a kiss to the exposed part of her neck. You felt Natasha laugh too, using her hands to cover her face from the blush that was blooming against her cheeks. “We’re talking about me?”
She laughed harder, attempting to shove you off but you let your body go slack against her, not using your arms to hold yourself up anymore. “Yes! Go shower!”
“Mm, but you’re so warm.”
“You’re not going to be warm if I make you sleep on the couch.”
You gasped dramatically, pulling your head off her stomach and meeting her dark green stare. “You wouldn’t dare.”
“Try me. After the day I’ve had, I refuse to sleep next to my wife when she smells like a marina.”
Even while she said it, her voice was gentle, her fingers working over your scalp to brush the wet hair from your eyes. You pulled yourself up to give her another peck on the lips, careful to avoid the split nose and busted ankle.
“Fine, but only because you need more aspirin.”
She grunted, crossing her arms over her chest. “Can’t believe I let you through my defenses.”
“Uh-huh. Get some rest. I’m going to go talk to your defenses about getting you an appointment with an optometrist.”
You turned to move towards the bathroom, already craving the warmth of a shower and some clean pajamas. Two steps from the doorway and you felt a plush throw pillow hit you directly on the back of the head. Natasha had amazing aim, always had, and always would.
You bent down and picked up the gold upholstered pillow, giving her a faux glare. “You’re not getting this back.”
“Oh, come on, baby.” She stuck out her lower lip “I have to prop up my foot.”
“You should have thought of that before you launched it at my head.”

This needed to be good. The thought of getting this scholarship was enough to ease at least half of the worries you had about going to college. It would iron out the stress you let overwhelm you about your future and actually make you think that things would work out okay.
But maybe it wouldn’t be that simple.
Sasha would want this too. And lord knows Missy would do anything she could to stop you from winning. And what about Spencer? You two had never much spoken about what he’d do after school. He always joked that he’d try to make it to the end of high school before worrying about the next step. But the next step was coming sooner, and maybe this scholarship would be what he needed too.
You were meeting with the professors of the university today and all you’d been told is that it had to be professional. You’d tried on three different outfits, changed your hair from up to half up half down. You’re interrupted by the piercing sound of a car horn outside, beeping once and then once more.
Grabbing your bag, you hurry down the stairs and outside to where Spencer is waiting in the car. He’s dressed in a shirt and tie, one hand resting on the steering wheel as he leans out of the window.
“Are you trying to make me late, (Y/l/n)?”
You roll your eyes, “It takes effort to look this good.”
“You look beautiful,” He agrees, leaning over to kiss you softly, “Very beautiful.”
“Keep it in your pants, Spencer,” You poke at his chest as if in a feeble attempt to push him away from you, “I meant what I said, we’ve got to be professional if we want this thing to go well.”
“Yes, ma’am,” Spencer fake salutes, reversing out of the driveway with his arm on the back of your chair.
“A college scholarship, Spence, can you even imagine?” You shake your head, “It would make things so much less stressful.”
“You know,” He indicates at the junction, “I’m not even sure if I want to win, or I just want to make sure that Missy and Sasha don’t.”
You laugh, smoothing your hands over the material of your skirt, “They probably feel the same about us two.”
“Maybe, but you’re smarter than they are,” He points out, “You’ve got more of a chance.”
“What about you?” You ask him, looking over at the sharp features of his side profile focused on the road ahead of him.
“I’m not smarter than you,” He laughs, merging onto the highway.
You don’t respond, waiting for him to actually answer your question.
“I never really thought about college, really,” He shrugs, “Mum always said I probably couldn’t stick at it anyway. Maybe she’s right, I’m never good at sticking to much. I thought about it before and thought fuck it, maybe I could go and prove her wrong, or prove everyone wrong I guess. Like just to show everyone I wasn’t some school fuck up that would never leave this place.”
“Spencer you’re not a fuck up,” You frown at the way he talks about himself.
He was so willing to show you love, and yet it seemed near impossible for him to show any to himself. You’d never heard him outwardly talk about himself like this but it turned your stomach.
“But, I don’t know,” He shrugs again, “It would probably be worse to go to university to prove everyone wrong and then… actually fail.”
“You wouldn’t fail.”
He glances over at you and sees the furrow between your eyebrows, the slight pout in your lips that happened involuntarily when you were really concerned.
“Hey, what’s that face for?” He reaches up a hand and taps your chin gently, turning back to the road and letting his hand rest on your thigh.
“I just… I can’t believe you don’t think you could do it,” You say softly, “I don’t think there’s much you can’t do.”
“I still can’t play sudoku, I’ve tried, just can’t figure out the boxes and the lines.”
“Spencer,”
You say it in that tone that he’d learnt meant you were falling somewhere in the realm of ‘let’s be serious now’. But it sounded a little bit more like ‘I know you’re trying to be funny but now’s not the time’.
“I’m fine, darling, don’t worry about me,” He indicates off at the junction, “Shouldn’t you be more worried about meeting these professors? Normal (Y/n) would be talking my ear off about how much she had to prepare for.”
You settle your hand over his on your thigh and trace your fingertips over his knuckles, swirling patterns over the skin.
Another thing you’d never realised you had to worry about with relationships was what happened with the next step. And there was always going to be a next step. What if you two ended up at different colleges? How far away could you be that it would still work? How would you do the long distance? You’d never known anything other than living mere metres from each other. And then what after that? Do you find your own place? Do you throw caution to the wind and travel? When is it time to settle and when, or if, would you regret settling so early? You were only eighteen and you couldn’t imagine spending your life without Spencer. Was that too soon to feel like that?
Before you can overthink it any more, Spencer pulls into his parking space and shuts off the car. He steps out of his side and you step out of yours, watching as he reaches into the back seats to pull out his suit jacket. It’s a grey suit with a black tie, the colour seeming to make his features sharper and more crisp. His eyes piercing, his skin more golden.
You walk around to his side of the car, feeling oddly underdressed in your dress next to him. It was a pretty dress, of course, but here was Spider practically ready for a wedding.
“Well don’t you scrub up well,” You raise your eyebrows at him, fingers reaching out to smooth down the material of his tie.
Spencer brings his hands to your forearms, trailing his fingers down the skin to leave goosebumps in their absence, your whole body practically on the verge of trembling beneath his touch. He leans in just enough that his lips are inches from yours, so much so that you go to close the gap between you, craving the contact.
Just as Spencer pulls away.
“What happened to being back in the friend zone?” He raises his brows at you, a teasing smirk toying at his lips, “You said so yourself, back in school we’re strictly professional.”
“I hate you,” You roll your eyes at him, pulling away from his hands to walk across the grounds.
Spencer laughs and rushes to catch up with you, “I mean, if you don’t think you can resist me…”
“I can resist you just fine,” You narrow your eyes at him, “In fact, it should be easy.”
“Easy, huh?” He nods, “We’ll see.”
You walk through the school hallways with him beside you until the two of you reach Woodsy’s office.
“Good morning you two!” She smiles brightly when she sees you, “Well, don’t you two make a lovely pair!”
“Are you sure you’re allowed to say that, Miss?” Spencer raises his brows at her.
She rolls her eyes but quickly opts to ignore him, “(Y/n), how are you feeling about today?”
“I’m okay, a little nervous but I’m looking forward to it.”
Missy and Sasha walk in not long after. Missy’s wearing an oversized suit jacket and a skirt. For a moment you convince yourself she could’ve stepped right out of a magazine. She looks you up and down and the hints of a smirk toy at her features.
“Cute outfit,” She forces a smile at you.
Your instincts convince you to say ‘thank you’ but you suppress it. The sarcasm was laced in her words and you couldn’t give her the satisfaction.
“Are we ready to go?” Woody persists, standing up from her desk and leading the four of you out of the room.
Spencer walks alongside you and fights the urge to squeeze your hand or wrap an arm around your waist. Every so often, his arm brushes yours and you’re back to those electric nerves that came from when he first touched you.
You’re taken to one of the classrooms and there are four professors in the room - each one looking more intimidating than the last. You take a deep breath and offer them a smile, trying to convince both them and you that you were way more confident than you were. Woodsy introduces everyone and explains how the session would work. You could go around to each one and they’d ask you about your intentions for the future and for the project, and then you could ask questions to the professors to help guide your project in the right direction and ultimately convince them that you were worthy of this scholarship. You hadn’t really thought much about what you’d do the project on. In fact, you were hoping inspiration would strike at one point but it still hadn’t. Sasha and Missy probably already had theirs planned out. And Spencer was annoyingly good at thinking of things on the spot. You weren’t so sure about yourself. You’d have to think of something.
One of the older professors approaches you, a woman with greying hair and deep laughter lines, her eyes are a piercing blue and she smiles at you with an old coldness that doesn’t ease the worry in your chest.
“Hello, you’re (Y/n) correct?” She smiles again, outstretching a hand for you to shake, “It’s lovely to meet you (Y/n) and I must say, your transcript is incredible. Tell me a bit about what you hope to do with this opportunity.”
“Um,” You clear your throat, “It’s lovely to meet you too. I think I’d like to… you know, do something for the students. Um, you know, to make the students… happier.”
The lady nods but you can tell she’s a little unsure, “Okay, and what would that be?”
You glance over at Spencer who’s talking to one of the other professors. He says something and the man throws his head back in a laugh. He was so natural. Anybody could like him, in any crowd. You weren’t sure how he did it but you couldn’t blame anyone for taking a liking to him like they did. You did too.
“I’d like to do something for…” You turn back to the woman, “Kids who feel like they’re not seen. The kids that feel like they’re invisible at the school. Something like debate clubs and forums where students can raise their concerns and actual outcomes come from the debates. At school it feels like you can slip through the cracks so easily if you’re not the loudest in the room. I did, for years, and I want to stop that from happening to other people
“Okay, I like that,” The woman beams, “Let’s talk about how we’re going to make that happen.”
———
You spend the rest of the session speaking to the other professors, getting slightly more confident about your project by the time you were done. The professors leave with Woodsy walking them out and the four of you remain in the class.
“Well, Spider, how did you manage to convince them you weren’t a total cunt?” Sasha tilts her head at him, “That must be near impossible for you.”
“How did you convince them you weren’t a man-hating bitch who-“ He stops himself when he looks over at you, turning back to her and taking a deep breath, “They seemed to like my ideas, actually.”
“I find it hard to believe they could like anything about you,” Missy scoffs, scrolling through her phone as if wanting to remind the room that she was completely unbothered.
You walk over to Spencer and lean against the desk with him, your arm brushing his as you cross your arms to avoid reaching out for his hand, “What ideas did you two give them?”
Sasha looks at you and then at Spencer before turning her attention to just you, “I think we need to improve nutrition and reduce meat consumption by having two vegan days in the canteen.”
“Fuck me, that sounds like hell,” Spider laughs and you nudge his side.
“What about you Missy?”
“Why are you talking to me?” She scrunches her face up at you as if the idea of your interaction is sickening to her.
“Well, if you think it’s so hard for them to like Spencer, I’m just curious as to what bright ideas you came up with.”
Maybe being with Spider had already improved your confidence, or perhaps just improved your ability to stand up for yourself. But you didn’t feel that anxiety to respond to her like that, not in the way you’d normally expect to. You’re glad you stand your ground, that you stand up for him.
“More non-male sports clubs,” She states simply.
You raise your brows, “Interesting.”
“Can we leave or what? I’m not fucking waiting around if I don’t have to,” Missy snaps, “I’d rather be anywhere else.”
“Yeah you and me both,” Spencer mutters under his breath as the two of them walk out of the room, the door shutting behind them.
He looks down at you and a grin spreads onto his lips, his eyes bright.
“Where did that little spark come from ay?” He grins down at you, “Who are you and what have you done with (Y/n)?”
You laugh and stand up straight from the table, “Oh shut up Spec.”
“Nah, I’m serious, that was fucking hot.”
You feel your cheeks heat up at his words but you quickly force yourself to ignore it, “Come on, we’re going to be late to class.”
———
You manage to go the rest of the day treating Spencer like a friend, though you’re constantly desperate to reach out for him at any given chance. You were practically counting down the minutes until school was over. This was a stupid challenge between the two of you, a stupid stupid idea.
You’re just crossing over the grounds to get to his car when someone stops you.
“(Y/n)!”
You turn around to see a boy you recognised from your Spanish class. He’s tall and lanky and you vaguely remember him dating a girl in your class last year. They split up because of something but you couldn’t quite remember. Thomas. You think that was his name.
“I’m Thomas, we have the same Spanish class,” He scratches at the back of his neck, “I just- well, I just wanted…”
You feel your brows furrow in anticipation for what he was about to say.
“I was just wondering if maybe I could get your number and we could… maybe go on a date some time?” He looks down at his shoes when he asks you, evidently too nervous to focus on your eyes, “I just think you’re really pretty and I-“
The rest of his words seem to blur in front of you. Was he really asking you out? How was this happening? This was the first time anything like this had ever happened to you. And all you could think about was Spencer waiting at his car for you, watching the entire scene unfold.
“Oh,” That’s all you manage to get out, “That’s a lovely offer Thomas but I-“
“(Y/n)!”
The word comes from Spencer but his voice sounds much more like a bellow than you’d ever heard him use to say your name before. You glance over your shoulder to see him stood leaning against the side of the car mere feet from you, his keys dangling in one hand before he wraps a clenched fist around the metal.
“Are you ready to go?”
You look back at Thomas and offer him a sympathetic smile, “See you tomorrow, Thomas.”
You hurry across the short distance of the grounds over to where Spencer is waiting for you.
“Oh my god did you hear that he-“
“Get in the car, (Y/n).”
His jaw is clenched and his knuckles are turning white around the keys in his hand. You’d not seen him like this, especially not directed at you. He gets into the car in silence and shuts the door beside him, starting up the car and driving off without saying another word. In fact, he doesn’t say anything for a good half of the drive until you decide you can’t bear the silence any longer.
“Spencer, I didn’t…” You clear your throat, “I was going to tell him that we were seeing each other. I wouldn’t have given him my number.”
“I know that.”
His response is cold and yet his grip on the steering wheel seems near white hot.
Was he mad at you? Should you have reacted differently? Was he worried? Why was he acting like this?
He pulls into the driveway and gets out of the car, walking around towards his front door. You pause momentarily as you get out of the passenger side, unsure of the next move in a moment like this. Spencer unlocks the door and looks back at you expectantly.
“Come on.”
You walk the short distance into his house and he closes the front door behind you, locking it as soon as it shuts. His Mum was away on some sort of retreat this week. You remembered because he’d told you how much he was looking forward to having the house to himself.
“Spence, that guy was just-“
“A fucking cunt, yeah that’s what he was,” He snaps back at you, “Who the fuck does he think he is?”
You hop up onto the kitchen counter and let your legs dangle over the side, your hands in your lap. At least he wasn’t annoyed at you. There was a tension in his shoulders, a fury in his eyes that you’d never seen directed like this at you. Not at you, you suppose, but just in your vicinity. He’s already discarded his suit jacket, his tie now loose around his neck and the first couple of buttons of his shirt undone.
“What is his problem? Is it not already fucking obvious enough that we’re together?” Spencer continues, “Do I need to fucking spell it out for him?”
“Well, people are used to seeing us together, coming into school and everything. Maybe he just thinks we’re still friends,” You shrug, following his pacing path around the room.
“That dickhead needs to open his fucking eyes and back off from my girl.”
You feel your heart stop for just a second. His girl. You liked the sound of that.
Spencer stops in his tracks and turns to you, his shoulders softening, “Sorry, I shouldn’t be yelling, especially not at you.”
He walks over and takes one of your hands. Your heart seems to skip once again at his touch, his eyes still burning in their anger, yours weak in your desire.
“(Y/n)?” Spencer dips his head to try and catch your gaze, his eyes desperate to find yours.
“Say it again.”
The words leave your lips before you have a chance to think about it. And when your eyes lock with his, it’s as if you watch his darken in the lustful realisation of what you meant.
“(Y/n) (Y/l/n) do you like the idea of him knowing you’re mine?” Spencer cocks a brow at you, his hand on your waist, his hips desperate to draw closer to you.
You swallow the thick lump in your throat and look up at him through your lashes. He practically groans at the sight, at the way you make him weak with just one look.
He keeps his eyes on yours as he moves his hand from your waist and onto your thigh, the bare skin just below the hem of your dress. He toys at the hem, his hand drawing underneath the material to crawl up your upper thigh. His fingertips reach the lace material of your underwear and, painstakingly slowly, he pushes the material aside. You gasp at the contact as his fingers reach your heat, a blush crawling to your cheeks at him realising the effect he’d had on you. His lips curl up into a smirk as your forehead drops forward onto his, your eyes closing.
His middle finger drags over your slick folds, his other hand gripping your waist to stop you from bucking up into him.
“Spencer, please,” You breathe out, near squirming at even his gentlest touch.
“Good girl,” Spencer mumbles, the pad of his thumb moving to press the slightest pressure to where you needed him most, the sensitive bud already swollen in your arousal.
You whimper at the contact, your head dropping to rest on his shoulder, pressing into his muscles to suppress your desire.
He’s quick to move his hand from your waist to your chin, tilting your head back up so he could see your eyes. When his eyes lock with yours, he moves his hand just slightly lower, his wide grasp wrapping around your neck. He doesn’t apply too much pressure, just keeps his hand there as if wanting to remind you once more that you were completely at his mercy. You felt your arousal grow ever more at the feeling as he swirled teasing circles around your clit, watching the way you gasp at his movements.
“What would he do if he saw you now?” Spencer mutters into the hot air between the two of you, “If he could see how wet you are for me.”
You whimper as he picks up his torturous pace, his eyes not leaving yours as he continues circling the bundle of nerves to watch you chase your high. He can feel you clenching around nothing as the coil seems to tighten in your stomach, threatening to snap.
“Spence I’m go-“
“Not yet,” He’s breathless just watching you.
And, all too quickly, he pulls his hand away. You whimper, this time at the loss of contact. His hands instead move to your waist as he lifts you up from the counter, your legs instinctively wrapping around him. He carries you the short distance over to the couch and lowers you down onto the fabric, smiling as the sight as your hair splays onto the cushion behind you.
“So beautiful,” He whispers as you lean up onto your elbows.
He finds the hem of your dress once more, slowly pulling the flowing material up and over your head. Before you get the chance to feel self conscious in front of him, Spencer’s fingertips trail over your collarbones, down past the curve of your bra and then across your stomach until he reaches your underwear. He looks into your eyes and waits for you to nod at him before he starts to tug them down your thighs. You reach for the buckle of his trousers and go to tug them off too, giggling at the struggle to get them pulled down. Spencer lets out a breathy laugh too, tossing your panties to the floor before kicking his trousers and boxers the rest of the way down his legs. His tie dangled in the space between you before you reach up to tug it off, throwing it somewhere to be forgotten.
He dips back down to kiss you, passionately and messily and desperately, one hand positioned beside you on the couch as the other moved to line up his dick with your entrance. He looks into your eyes once more, his forehead pressing against yours with increasing pressure as he pushes into your entrance. You still gasp at the first time, gripping the shirt material around his shoulders with a stifled whimper.
“Good girl,” He dips his head down to whisper the words into your ear, watching the shudder grow through your body at the simple words.
His thrusts are slow and intentional, drawing in and out of you as if wanting to perfect every second of his movements. His eyes are back on yours, watching every single one of your reactions to him, the way you gasp when he reaches that perfect spot, the way you bite your lip as he bottoms out against you. He’s sure he could watch you forever, watch the effect he had on you.
You grip onto his shirt tighter, bundling the material into your hands as he quickens his pace, thrusting in and out of you more sloppily now that he was chasing his own high too.
“Be loud for me, darling,” He groans breathlessly between thrusts, “Let me hear you.”
His head drops down to your neck, kissing and biting at the skin as you let out all of the moans you’d been suppressing. You whimper, groan, mumble incoherent curses in between his name.
“Fuck, Spence,” You moan, your head pressing back against the couch as one hand flies to his hair, tightening your grip on his blonde locks.
“My girl,” He groans into the crook of your neck, echoed by the sound of his skin slapping yours harder.
You whimper, your back arching from the couch to fill the nonexistent space between you.
“Cum for me doll,” He pulls back just enough to watch you come undone upon his command.
A near-scream escapes your lips, your eyes rolling back into your head as you press back into the couch, your body shuddering as you finish around him. A few short thrusts after, Spencer pulls out and finishes over your stomach with a curse of your name, his legs weakening as he catches himself on his arms to stop himself falling into you.
Your chests heave in rhythm, your muscles relaxing as he brings up a hand to brush the hair away from your face, smiling down at the sight.
“Are you okay?” He asks softly, his thumb brushing over your flushed cheek.
You open your eyes and smile lazily up at him, nodding tiredly as you drag a hand through his hair, “More than okay.”
He kisses you softly before standing up from the couch, tugging his boxers back on walking over to the kitchen and bringing you a towel and a glass of water. He comes back over and unbuttons his shirt, handing that to you too as you sit up on the couch. Spencer flops back down onto it, just in his boxers now, as you pull his shirt over you and return to your place - half tucked in the space beside him and half on top of him in the cramped width of the couch.
“Well that’s the first time I’ve ever done… that… on the couch,” Spencer comments, his fingers smoothing through your hair.
You prop yourself up onto your elbow, one hand on his chest, “Are you serious?”
He laughs, “Yeah why wouldn’t I be?”
You shake your head, “I don’t know.”
So much of your relationship with Spencer so far had felt like him showing you how things in relationships work. Because he’d done it all before. He’d already experienced it with someone else. It felt oddly exciting to be experiencing things for the first time with him.
“Perks of having the house to yourself I guess,” You giggle, turning your head to look around at the empty house.
“Shit, (Y/n)!” He half sits up, like he’s in a panic, his fingers moving to your neck to brush the hair away from the skin there.
His fingertips brush over a mark left in the crook of your neck, blotchy and seemingly turning more purple by the minute. There was still a sort of redness to your skin where he’d held your neck and he feels his stomach churn.
“Fuck, I’m so sorry, I didn’t mean to-“
You place your hand over his and make sure he’s looking into your eyes before you say, “Spence, it’s fine. I promise.”
He frowns for just a moment longer before accepting it, dropping back down onto the couch with one arm tucked underneath his head.
“Maybe guys at school should ask me out more often,” You toy, trailing a pattern around the soft skin of his torso.
Spencer outwardly laughs, “For their sake, they fucking shouldn’t.”
You giggle and he moves his hand up to tickle at your side. You squeal and writhe under his touch, the two of you twisting against each other on the couch as you try to fight back. Eventually, Spencer ends up on top of you, his hands pinning yours high above your head to stop you from getting him back. He leans down and kisses the tip of your nose, both of you breathing erratically.
“Although I wouldn’t mind reminding you that you’re mine,” He whispers softly, kissing you again.
———
The next week or so at school is spent focused between your classes and your project. You and Spencer had done a good job so far of keeping things professional, with Woodsy even commending you for it at one point. It was easy really. In fact, part of you liked the idea of only you and Spencer seeing your relationship. As soon as you were back in the car, his hand would be on your thigh, as soon as you were home he’d be kissing you. At school, that was all unknown.
“Why am I nervous?” Spider laughs, lacing his hand with yours as the two of you get out of the car.
“Because they’re terrifying,” You joke, squeezing his hand as you reach for the front door to open it.
Your parents had invited Spencer over for dinner since they’d insisted that they didn’t see enough of the two of you recently. Your Mum had told you that you were far too busy nowadays and so she’d planned to do a big dinner with you, Spencer and Spencer’s Mum Cait.
“Come on, you’ve grown up with them!” You encourage, “It’s no different.”
“Oh it’s absolutely different,” He scoffs, “What do you mean it’s not-“
“There you are!”
Your Mum beams brightly as the two of you walk in. Spencer’s hand is still wrapped with yours and you can tell he needs the reassurance from the touch.
“I thought you’d be here soon,” She smiles, “How was school? Was your day good?”
“Yeah, all good,” You nod, “We have the presentations for that project thing tomorrow.”
“Oh of course!” She exclaims, “Well they do keep you kids busy at that place. Come on, we’re all outside.”
You look up at Spencer and he seems to relax a little, both of you following your Mum outside to where your Dad and Cait are laughing about something. She’s holding a half-finished glass of white wine.
“Hey kids!” Your Dad grins when he sees you, standing up from his chair.
He walks right over and reaches out a hand to shake Spencer’s.
“Good to see you man, it’s been too long!”
He said that after not seeing Spencer for a week. Any longer and you think he’d be asking you more questions about your boyfriend than he did about you.
“Good to see you too,” Spencer grins and you see him fully relax now, feeling like he was back with old friends instead of whatever intimidating situation he thought he was going to walk into.
“Well I better get the barbecue started then ay? Spencer how good are you with a grill?” Your Dad clasps him on the shoulder, disappearing back into the house.
“Hello darling!” Cait beams, though her words are oddly directed towards you instead of her son, “Don’t you look beautiful!”
“Thanks Cait!” You smile, “Thanks for coming!”
“Oh any excuse to come round here,” She grins, “Especially now my son needs to impress his in-laws.”
“Thanks for that, Mum,” Spencer grimaces, “Do you want a drink darling?”
He places a hand on your back, smoothing a thumb over the material of your top, “Just water please.”
He kisses your head quickly before heading inside.
You knew things were never easy with him and his Mum. You’d always known it. But this was the first time since the two of you had started dating that both his Mum and your parents and the two of you were all together. You just wanted things to run smoothly. Just for one night.
———
Your Dad enrols Spencer to help him cook the dinner, telling him when to add something else to the grill and when things needed turning. You help your Mum bring out all the cold accompaniments, adorning the table with enough food to feed twice as many people as needed. Eventually, it’s all sprawled across the table outside and everyone’s drinks have been refilled. You and Spencer both had a beer, the same as your Dad, and the Mums were sharing another bottle of wine - though it seemed Cait was managing the majority of it herself.
“Oh you’re already a bad influence Spencer,” Cait tuts as her son walks over to sit in the seat beside you, a plate of burgers in his hand.
He looks at her with a frown, sitting down beside you.
“You’ve already got her drinking beer,” Cait points out, taking a sip from her glass, “(Y/n) you don’t have to just because he does.”
“Mum,” Spencer says the word with a hint of warning behind his tone, obvious to only you, “I’m pretty sure (Y/n) can drink what she wants.”
“Cant blame the girl for wanting a cold beer,” Your Dad grins, sitting perpendicular to Spencer at the top of the table, “She’s my daughter after all.”
“Right, everybody, tuck in please!” Your Mum encourages, “Spencer you’ve earned it after all that cooking.”
All of you fill your plates with the food, Spencer passing you everything before he took any for himself. He takes a swig of his beer and sets it back down. You can see the tension between his shoulders, the way he held himself a little straighter like he couldn’t properly relax in the present company. What worried you was that it wasn’t your parents he was nervous about.
“So, (Y/n) tells me you’ve been enjoying this new project at school Spencer,” Your Mum smiles, “She did tell me what you were doing it about but I’ve forgotten now.”
“Oh, yeah,” Spencer nods, “Mine’s putting in classes for anger management and increased support for students that feel like they’ve got nobody listening to them.”
“That’s wonderful,” Your Mum beams, “What a brilliant idea.”
“Oh yes, my Spencer is brilliant at trying to play the hero,” Cait speaks up, swirling the remaining wine around her glass, “If anything he could benefit from those classes.”
“Maybe,” Spencer clears his throat, “I always used sport to let out how I was feeling, how I am feeling, but that’s not always an option for people. So I think there should be other options.”
“Good on you son,” Your Dad nods, “Nothing wrong with acknowledging that, we all need our vices.”
Spencer smiles at him as if grateful that someone was on his side, thankful that someone didn’t think the worst of him.
“Oh you think far too much of that boy,” His mother laughs, “You should be worried about him treating your darling daughter the way she deserves.”
Spencer’s jaw clenches, his grip on his cutlery tightening. You watch on as Cait downs the rest of what’s in her glass.
“She deserves the world,” She tilts her empty glass towards you, “That boy won’t be able to give her that. He’d be lucky to make it out of school.”
“How about we ease up a little bit Mum?” Spencer swallows the lump in his throat, “We’ve got company.”
She scoffs, muttering something incoherent under her breath. You glance over to your Mum who looks at you with nothing but worry and then back to your Dad who offers the same expression to Spencer. Spencer just looks down at his food, his jaw yet to relax.
“I don’t need him to give me the world.”
You blurt out the words before you have a chance to stop them.
“I don’t need him to give me everything. He loves me, and he cares about me and we can see a future together. And I want him to be there for me as much as I want to be there for him,” You clear your throat, “You think Spencer needs to prove himself but he doesn’t. He doesn’t now and he never had to.”
Everyone’s eyes are on you. You’re focused on Cait and she looks back at you with a somewhat shocked expression, eyebrows raised. Your parents both look at you slightly dumbfounded, both hiding glimmers of pride for their daughter. And Spencer looks at you with the brightest eyes he can muster, his lips slightly parted as if no words were good enough.
“Well it seems you’ve taught her to speak up for herself too, Spencer,” Cait half-scoffs.
“Yeah,” Spencer breathes out, “I did.”
You cut at another piece of your food and eat another mouthful, silently encouraging everyone to do the same. And they do. Like it had never happened.
———
That night, Spencer opts to stay at your house. He goes up to bed earlier than you do, telling you and your parents that he had a headache he just couldn’t manage to shake. Nobody since had spoken about what happened with his Mum. The conversation had continued and she’d left not long after dessert. You were now in the kitchen with your parents washing up the last few glasses with your Dad as your Mum wiped down the counters.
You finish drying the last glass and set it into the cupboard, turning around and wiping your hands on the kitchen towel in your grasp.
“I don’t know why she talks about him like that,” You break the silence, looking at both of them for reassurance, “She thinks so little of him.”
“Cait was never going to be happy having a son,” Your Mum shakes her head, “He could’ve been any kind of person, and she’d have never been happy with him. He was always going to do something wrong.”
“But he’s a good kid,” Your Dad points out, “If you know that, it doesn’t matter what she thinks.”
“It’s just like-“ You shake your head, “People are always expecting him to fail. Like they’re just waiting for him to fuck up.”
“Then he’s just got to prove to them that he won’t,” Your Dad squeezes your shoulder, “And you’ve got to be there with him.”
“You do make beautiful couple,” Your Mum interjects.
You laugh a little and feel the tightness in your chest easing at their reassurance.
“I should go up to bed, busy day tomorrow,” You nod, walking towards the door.
They both say good night as you head up the stairs towards your bedroom. Spencer is sat at the foot of your bed, eyes scanning a piece of paper from his notebook.
“Hey,” You say softly, “I thought you’d be asleep.”
“No, just reading through this for tomorrow,” He responds, setting it down beside him before looking up at you with a tired smile.
You walk over to him and he wraps his arms around your thighs, his head at height with your stomach as you run your hands through his hair.
“How’s your head?”
He hums against the contact, looking up at you, “Better.”
You lean down and kiss his forehead and he tightens his hold around you, “I’m sorry about what happened with your Mum today.”
He shakes his head, “Don’t apologise. It’s nothing out of the ordinary.”
“Yeah, maybe,” You brush his hair away from his forehead, eyes flicking between his, “But it shouldn’t have to be.”
“It’s just because I’m short-tempered and I-“
“Spence,” You cup your hands on either side of his face, “You don’t have to make up excuses for her. You shouldn’t be treated like that, end of story.”
You lean down and kiss him softly and he hums against your lips, hands moving to the back of your thighs to draw you down onto his lap. He pulls away from you, his hands on your waist.
“Oh I love you,” He shakes his head, “I really fucking love you.”
You pull back, your expression baffled as your hands stop on his shoulders, “That’s the first time you’ve said that.”
You knew he did, you’d even told his mum earlier that he loved you. But that was the first time he’d verbally told you.
“Oh you knew I did,” He grins, flopping back onto the bed to leave you sat up on top of him, still straddling his hips.
“I love you too, Spec.”
———
The next day at school, you’re stood with Woodsy, Spencer, Missy and Sasha preparing for your presentations. The professors from the university were going to be there and they’d be making their decision today about who would be getting the scholarship.
You could tell Spencer’s attitude towards it all had shifted today. His Mum had got into his head last night, convincing him that any attempt for this to go his way was just pointless.
“(Y/n), can I have a word?” Woodsy distracts your thoughts, gesturing for you to join her on the opposite side of the room.
“Everything okay Miss?”
“I just wanted to tell you that I’ve heard some very good things about you from the professors, don’t ask me how I know this but it looks like they’re very interested in giving you the scholarship.”
“Wow, um, that’s great Miss, I guess it depends how this presentation goes.”
“Oh I don’t know (Y/n), you’d have to do a lot wrong to not get this,” She laughs exaggeratedly, “Seriously, they love you.”
“Thanks Miss.”
She walks off and Spencer walks over to take her place.
“Are you ready for this to be over?”
You hum and lean your head against his shoulder, reading over your notes one more time. He turns his head and kisses the top of your head.
“Excuse me Mr White that’s not very professional!”
He rolls his eyes at you, “I don’t care.”
You go back to resting against his shoulder as Woodsy runs through how the presentations would work.
“I’ll meet you afterwards okay?” Spencer says to you, squeezing your hand.
Missy’s presentation was first, then his, then Sasha’s and then yours.
There was a stage set up in the quad, the small group of you held in one room that had a door out onto the quad. There were already students waiting - mainly the people you knew. Spencer’s friends were on one side, yours on the other, Amerie, Harper, Quinn, Darren and Cash sprinkled in the middle.
You listen through the talks before your own. Spencer’s was ten times better than when he’d practised, he stumbled over his words once and then stopped using his notes, spoke from his heart. They all applauded when he finished, the professors looking between themselves before writing down their comments.
“I don’t know what you see in him,” Sasha comments from beside you, “Seriously, what is it?”
You look at her, tearing your eyes away from the stage momentarily, “Are- are you kidding?”
“The guys an arrogant, ignorant idiot,” She laughs, “I don’t know if you think you’re going to be able to fix him but it’s not going to work.”
“Wh-“
Before you can say anything more, she walks out onto the stage, clearing her throat before she begins her talk.
For the first part, she rambles on about the importance of vegan days in the canteen, reeling off statistics about meat consumption. And then it’s like something in her switches.
“And despite people being ignorant-“
You can’t quite see the way her eyes are directed but you know where she’s looking. Right at him.
“And people being unwilling to do anything to help anyone other than themselves-“
What was wrong with people?
Why did everyone think so little of him? Not just so little, but so badly. He wasn’t a horrible person, he never had been. And he wasn’t a failure, he’d never been that either. So why was everyone so convinced that he was?
Before you know it, her talk is over and Woodsy is gesturing for you to come up next. It was strange, like your instincts were taking over as you walk up onto the stage. There’s a mass of eyes looking up at you, all focused on you. Your friends smile at you that sort of reassuring look and Quinn waves when she sees you. But you can only focus on him. On the opposite side stood beside Ant, wearing a navy polo shirt, his hair in swooping curtains. He grins when he sees you, giving you a wink like he was telling you that you’d be fine.
You look over to the professors, all looking up at you expectantly from their table.
“Um-“ You clear your throat, “Thank you for… um, thank you for listening to the talks today and-“
You stop yourself, looking down at the notes in your hand before scrunching up the paper.
“Um, I did have a whole talk planned but… I don’t think I want to say that anymore.”
Spencer raises his brows at you. Who were you and what had you done with his overly prepared girlfriend?
“I think… I think this whole thing is a bit strange really,” You look down at a spot on the stage that seems to let you ignore everyone stood there in confusion, “Like… why us four? You chose three of us because we’ve got good grades, or we’re just known for being smart. And you chose Spencer because he’s good at sports but there’s so much more than that.”
Woodsy is looking at you like you’ve just set the school on fire in front of her. Just burned away all of her hopes for you.
“I’m sorry but I just think it’s stupid. People think so little of each other here,” You half laugh, “I don’t get it. We shouldn’t be talking about how to improve the school we should be talking about how to improve ourselves, how to improve how we treat other people.”
“Period!” Darren claps in the audience, echoed around the silence from everyone else.
“We think the worst of everyone here and we don’t need to. We don’t know anything about half of the people here and yet we just find a way to judge each other regardless,” You look over at Sasha and Missy, “I’ve been made to feel like shit just because of the relationship I was in. You two don’t deserve this scholarship. You don’t know anything about how to make the school a better place. Your sports teams, food in the canteen - it’s all superficial. You’re not good people.”
Both of them look at you completely dumbfounded, muttering something between themselves.
“Im not saying I deserve it, that’s not what I mean, I don’t deserve it either,” You shake your head, “God, I don’t really know what I’m saying. Um, Spencer, you deserve to prove people wrong.”
He looks up at you with his eyebrows raised, lips parted like he’s on the cusp of saying something.
“Everyone here, your Mum, yourself even,” You shrug, “You deserve to prove them wrong. You don’t think you can do it but you can, and you should.”
“Okay,” Spencer laughs, nodding at you as if finally believing what you were saying, his lips curling into a bright smile.
“Yeah, um, I’m going to stop this before I embarrass myself any more but,” You clear your head, turning back to the professors, “Thank you very much for the opportunity but I formally withdraw. And, if you want to make the right decision, pick him. He’s the only one good enough for your scholarship. Thank you.”
You hurry down the steps at the front of the stage, feeling your cheeks heat up intensely as the realisation of what you’d just done seems to hit you.
Oh god.
“Well, that’s definitely not what we rehearsed,” Spencer walks over to you, the smile still yet to leave his face.
“Um, no,” You laugh, “Not how I thought that would go.”
“Are you serious about throwing away the scholarship?” His face drops into a frown.
You look up at him, “Yes.”
“(Y/n) I cant ask you-“
You lean up onto your tiptoes and kiss him, griping the material of his shirt over his shoulders, “I didn’t give you the scholarship, I just told them you were the right choice.”
He laughs, “Spencer White, college scholarship, I like the sound of that.”
You giggle, “Me too.”
He wraps his arms around your waist and lifts you from the ground, spinning you around, “God, I love you.”

“y/n, this is not working how I wanted.”
How he wanted…
Your husband’s sudden serious tone made you look towards the entrance of your bedroom, knowing all the unspoken words behind that particular sentence. Not working--- nothing works between you two after the marriage. Why didn’t one of you think about this before everything started? It started out as a normal hangout with both of you meeting each other at Yunho’s house and that’s how some common topic sparked a connection between you and Mingi.
Yunho has been your best friend since elementary school and when he found out about your little affection towards his friend, he obviously supported your feelings, of course hiding his own behind the smile.
Still, he warned you about Mingi’s irrational behaviors and his characters that he and other friends find a bit problematic to deal with. But you ignored these comments. Love is blind. You never noticed that Mingi’s attraction towards you was not out of love but a pure obsession. He observed his friend’s subtle glances towards you and your oblivion self not noticing the obvious state of your best friend. And that’s how he took the best opportunity to approach you, to get so near to you that it made Yunho distant even farther from where he was.
Mingi is always a step ahead from his friend and so he successfully blocked Yunho’s perspectives from your eyes. He treated you like a princess in his university days. You three were always seen together but after getting into the relationship with the youngest one, Yunho made himself busy with joining a painting class. You are well aware of his passion for paintings and pouring his emotions into it.
Three years of university love led to the day of marriage.
You still remember the look Yunho gave you when he handed you an invitation card on the day of your wedding. Your confused eyes staring at him earned a chuckle and he patted your head, “come to my wedding……with Mingi.”
“your wedding? All of a sudden?”
He gulped and nodded before turning around and disappearing into the crowd of people spread across the grand hall. Mingi came up beside you, snaking a hand around your waist, following your way of vision, finding no one particular in sight and glancing towards the envelope in your hold.
“What's this, love?”
He noticed your absence of response and pulled you closer to repeat the question when you glanced at him and to your hand, “Yunho’s wedding invitation card.”
He smiled, “oh…he is marrying? So sudden?”
“yeah, I asked him about this but he didn’t say anything.”
He kissed the side of your head, “let’s not think about this. This is our day.”
Yeah, that was the only last day when it felt like yours.
You loved Mingi with all your heart but for him it was all just a game of obsession. To win everything over his friend. Not into marriage for more than a year, he started to show his hidden true self which was all hidden behind his façade of love.
The glints of his unusual behavior were all displayed in front of you since the first day but you never cared to notice them because you loved him. you wanted him as a part of your life. You wanted his love.
You noticed him staying outside the house longer than usual. Him ignoring your texts and calls and blaming you for the roughness in your relationship.
The same remark—the relationship between you both is not working how he wanted. How did he want it? And what about your side? Does he care to listen to you? Simply, No.
He never cared for you. You were a bait for his pride. Getting the most popular girl of the campus and the beautiful girlfriend making him a lucky bastard in his friend’s group was all he wanted. The hurt and lost expression on Yunho’s face was enough to boost his ego. Smirking to himself, he pats his friend’s back, “get a girl, dude. You look so lonely these days. What happened?”
Yunho would glance at his friend and just smile.
‘You took away the most precious part of my life.’
.
.
.
It’s been six months that you have parted your ways with Mingi. One might wonder how you got out of his obsession. Lily, the only daughter of the rich business partner, offered a huge deal of money and who is he to ignore the offer. His statement that you both are not working together leads to the divorce between you two. You didn’t question him and never tried to reason to try it in a different way.
You didn’t even cry because all those sleepless nights and hopeless days have not left a single piece of feelings to stay back in yourself. You left his house without turning towards him for the last time. And he didn’t even call you back when you closed the door behind your back.
It was a Saturday afternoon when you were chatting with your school friend when you suddenly got a text from a person whom you didn’t want to keep in touch with but somehow it turned out that it was not the same from his end.
‘Can you meet me today?’
Why? You wanted to ask him. your fingers trembled and tears slid down your cheeks, remembering how he texted you for the first time after he got your number.
‘Hey! It’s nice to meet you.’
You should not have proceeded your friendship from that part. You should have just remained as a passing stranger or a casual friend.
You stared at the message of him texting you to meet him today. All of a sudden? Why? You don’t know, not even having a hint of the meaning of his text. Before you could dwell on the thought more, your phone started vibrating, indicating you had a call. The same person. Your mind didn’t process what to do further and you swiped the call button to green.
“hello, y/n.”
Why does his voice still have the same effect on you like it had during the university days? Why is he making you regret leaving him? Why do you still care for him? why?
Why can’t you forget him?
“Mingi…”
“Are you free today?” His voice was low and he was patiently speaking to you as if there was no hurry like the other days when he didn’t have a bit of a time to look at you for a second.
“yes.”
“can you please meet me today at your favorite restaurant?”
“but we are no longer like before. Don’t forget you gave up on me.” you pressed your lips tight and prevented yourself from crying into the call. You couldn’t let him know about your weakness. You don’t want to feel stupid, the way you were stupid in love with him. even though you wanted to say so many things to him yet you decided to stay silent, hearing him calling your name when your tears were flowing down your cheeks.
“please…we should talk about everything. You didn’t utter a word when you left me.”
I left him? And he did nothing? It was not his fault? He is not guilty for anything. So he is blaming you for all these?
“There's nothing to talk about. we are done.”
“please. I want to say sorry.” He quickly murmured his apology when you denied to meet him.
After a few more requests, you agreed to meet him in the evening. When you agreed to meet him, he quickly cut the call. As expected from him. Why did you agree to meet him? Are you out of your mind? What will you do? What will you say after meeting him? you don’t know but still you want to clear your mind off and there’s so much to confront him.
Back of your head hit the mattress and your blank eyes staring at the ceiling, when the thought of your best friend came across your mind. After both of your marriages, you never contacted him because he changed his contact details, isn't active on social media and also moved to a different country with his wife. Mingi doesn’t like you to have contact with any other boy and so you didn’t want to try to contact him.
The last shared moment between you both was—
“Congratulations, Yunho. I wish you a great and happy life ahead.”
He smiled and rested his palm over your cheek, thumb caressed the skin and his eyes following how your eyes were sparkling and you were smiling brightly at him. you were glowing in front of him.
“I hope you are happy, y/n.”
no other shiny thing could compare your radiance and he knew one thing.
Mingi is really a lucky bastard. He always gets everything whatever he wanted before him.
How is Yunho doing out there? He must be very happy with his wife. It’s been two years since you have last seen him, talked to him.
.
.
.
A simple straight peach coloured knee length dress with a little no-makeup look with your hairs resting on your shoulder, you reached the restaurant.
As soon as you entered the glass doors, you looked around to find the familiar face which you swore once to never come across again but here you are searching for him again. You stopped in your tracks when you found him sitting at the table near the wide window. You took a step back when you found him smiling with someone on the call and you thought to turn around and return back home.
But your trance broke when someone held your forearm and whispered your name, “y/n…”
You quickly glanced to your side, eyes going wide when you noticed who the person was.
“Yunho… is this real?”
He nodded and left your hand when he noticed the table at the far end where you were looking at previously. But to his surprise, you hugged him and pressed your face against his chest, “ I missed you, Yunho. Where were you all these years?”
Hesitatingly, he raised his hand to pat your head. The warmth of your body against him, the tears staining his shirt and your fist clutching him. the main reason for your tears was meeting him after years or you were overwhelmed with Mingi’s apology?
Actually you wanted an embrace in which you could cry. And you chose to let your heart out to Yunho in spite of Mingi. He caressed your hair, few people glanced in your direction but neither you nor Yunho cared about it. He was desperate to know everything from you, he could feel that you were crying not only because of him but there’s something more you were hiding. He knows you too well, more than yourself.
When his eyes again went to that table, he saw the raging eyes glaring back at him. Mingi was not happy with the moment you both were sharing. As if you would love the moment with him. He stood straight from his chair, keeping his eyes fixed on you and started walking towards you.
Yunho averted his eyes from his friend and looked down at you, stroking your hair, he whispered, “y/n, Mingi is here. He doesn’t like us to meet like this.”
You shook your head in his embrace, refusing to part from him when he tried to pull you back. He was confused yet deep down he wanted to hold you close like this the whole day. Whatever he wants with you is always achieved by his friend and it makes him feel jealous to say less. He wants to steal you from him. even if it’s possible. What about you? Would you like to accept him the way he wants you?
“Yunho, long time no see. How come you are here in this country? Vacation?”
Mingi’s voice bloomed in the light chatter of the people surrounding you. As a reactive action, you pulled apart from Yunho and stayed beside him, looking down and collecting your composure.
Yunho forced a little smile and nodded, “yeah. I’m on a vacation, just to spend time in my home country for a while and then go back.” You could hear a hidden hurt in his voice, you both have spent so much time to notice this even after so many years.
“Where is your wife? I don’t think she would like to see you here being so close to another woman.” Mingi had a mockery in his tone. He never leaves a chance to make Yunho realize that you are not his and never would be.
Yunho cleared his throat and replied, “we are divorced.”
Divorced?
“divorced?” your soft voice made him look at you and he smiled before patting your head. His usual activity whenever something problematic is going on in your life or his and he would pat your head as a sign not to worry about it. He would be fine and could handle it on his own. “What happened, Yunho?”
Mingi chuckled irritatedly. You mentally scoffed at the audacity of him laughing at the situation.
“don’t worry about him, y/n. I suppose he will get another one.”
“Shut up, Mingi. Don’t think everyone is like you. I wonder how you both are friends when he is so unlike you.”
“y/n-“
“no, Yunho. Let me speak. I have had enough. Enough of him.” you raised your voice making the oldest quiet and confused while the youngest one had a wide smirk on his face. He was enjoying the scene you were creating in front of all the people in the restaurant. You could feel the stares and low whispers all around but you were on your spot and wouldn’t let this chance slip to make him realize, “stop your games here, Mingi. Nothing is serious to you in this life. You seem to believe everyone and everything to be working according to you. No, it’s not. You are wrong here.”
“and what makes my wife believe that this is wrong?” Mingi folded his hands and titled his head when he chuckled, clearly amused by your act.
You hissed and grabbed the collar of his black shirt and glared, “I am not your wife anymore. Don’t forget that you and I are not related anymore. And I regret the fact that I even have to associate myself to you as your ex-wife. I regret everything. I regret my six years because of being with you. You destroyed my life, Mingi.”
Ex-wife…you are divorced. This news was shocking to Yunho and the way he was looking at you didn’t go unnoticed by Mingi. He clenched his jaw when he felt that he still has that adoration and love in his eyes for you. Tears were flowing down your eyes and you cared less for your appearance because you wanted to care for your heart which was lost in an endless feeling of hurt.
“Because of you, I did everything that you have told me. I have loved you so much that I distanced myself from everyone because you never liked others to be around me. I was blind to notice that you wanted me as your puppet and all you wanted to show off to others. You have used me in every step of your life, in the end, you blamed me that our relationship is not working because of me. It's because it's not working how you wanted. And what about me? Have you ever thought about what I even wanted? Why did you make me dream of things which you will never be part of? Why Mingi why?”
You were shouting at this point and Mingi was losing his temper hearing your words. Each word slipping out your mouth was irritating him. He himself knew that you were not his love but his obsession. A game to win. To win over Yunho.
“what the fuck are you saying, y/n? be in your limits.”
“I won’t.”
“y/n-“
A loud sound echoed in the area. You slapped him. the thing which you would have done long ago. You don’t know from where you got the sudden courage today but you were proud of yourself to not hesitate to let it all out. You needed this and now a little relief settled inside you.
But the thing you didn’t expect is an arm wrapping around your shoulders and a pair of lips touching the side of your head with a whisper, “My good girl.” Looking towards the owner, you realized Yunho was smiling at you but before you could say anything he looked back at Mingi and glared.
“I suppose this hurts your ego and image so if you still want to insult yourself you can stay here. But I won’t let her be here anymore, especially with you. I don’t know what exactly happened between you two but I know for her happiness and to see her smile, I can do anything.” Yunho pointed a finger at his friend, “and I won’t ever let a single drop of tears fall from her eyes. And the things you did to her, I will make you regret it.”
“She is not yours.” Mingi rubbed his cheek and brushed his shirt. Mingi smirked when he saw the fuming rage of Yunho hearing his statement but Yunho chuckled, making you both confused.
“and you couldn’t keep her as yours.”
When the youngest extended his hand to grab your bicep, Yunho grabbed his wrist and clenched his jaw, “don’t even fucking touch her. Get lost from here.” He breathed heavily and continued, “I don’t fucking care where you want to go but we are leaving this place right now.”
“Yunho-“
“Keep quiet, y/n. we are leaving unless you want to repeat the mistake again.” He has never spoken to you in such a low and demanding way. He waited for your move to see if you refused to go away from him but you squeezed his hand tight and nodded, which as a signal to him, he smirked at Mingi.
He took your hand in his and turned around but as soon as he stepped outside the glass doors, he pointed at a particular car and told you to go there and he would be coming in two minutes. The hesitation of being left alone was well aware to him and he himself didn’t want to leave you but he had to go inside for once. Eventually you stepped towards the car and his eyes followed until you stood beside it and looked at him. He gave you a smile and went inside the doors again, he met Mingi on the way and stopped him.
“why the hell are you here?” Mingi asked in a frustrated way.
Yunho chuckled and patted his shoulder, “just to let you know one final thing. Even if you tried to win her over me. she was never yours. She was always mine to start with and I got her back from you.” Giving a final smile, he went back to his car.
As soon as he reached near it, he saw you petting a cat and wiping your tears.
“y/n…let’s go somewhere.”
You stood up straight and furrowed your brows, “where? I don’t want to be a bother.”
“y/n, have I ever told you that you are a bother to me? ever in this whole life since the day we first met in our childhood.” He smiled softly and cupped your cheeks. You shook your head and smiled when he planted a soft kiss on your forehead.
It took almost thirty minutes to arrive at the cliff. Both of your favorite places and the place where you could relive your memories. You were lost in your thoughts until he opened the door for you and extended his hand with a smile on his face.
Standing at the edge of the cliff, you let the fresh cold air caress your face with closed eyes. Yunho was enjoying the city view from where he was leaning against his car and his way of vision stopped at you, a smile automatically spread across his face. He admires you a lot…hell…he loves you a lot.
“y/n…”
“How is life, Yunho? Is it different from how you thought?” you asked him and turned towards him, mimicking his posture against the car.
He bit his lips and looked up at the sky, “I don’t know. I felt like I was lost when you got married.” He looked towards you and smiled, “I felt I am nothing without you.”
You laughed at him, if it were other times, you would have teased him for these lines but somehow neither of you were joking right now and you both were well aware of this. You are lost without him too.
“Me too.” You breathed out.
He furrowed his brow, “what do you mean?”
You took his hand and stared at it. The size difference between you both always makes you smile and it still has the same effect on you, “I have not seen you for years and today I feel like I got myself back again. Thank you.”
“what happened between you and him?” he was hesitant to ask but still as your best friend, he felt like asking you, to know what made you two separate…for good. At Least he was glad that you got to know about his real intentions maybe.
“Have you ever fallen in love?” your sudden question perked his ear up and he inhaled when your innocent childish face flashed in front of his eyes…the first time he saw you in the school courtyard. He nodded, “yes.”
“did you feel like you got everything you wanted?”
I got you but you never were mine.
“Maybe…” he wanted to say more than a word but your questions were puzzling his mind and not getting the answers he wanted. “But why are you asking me this?”
“coz Yunho…I felt like I was in paradise when I fell in love with Mingi. I had everything and I was happy…but I didn’t realize it was all just an illusion to trap me in his game. I was blind for him. I ignored you for him. I gave up everything for him. I couldn’t differentiate between right and wrong. I was lost in a void of lie. I-“
He pulled you in front of him and hugged you tight, pressing a long kiss on top of your head, “I know, y/n…it’s okay. You are here with me. We are here together. He can’t separate us again.”
“he was everything to me…but I was never his.”
“but you are always mine. Sorry if I’m late.” His arms around you tightened and your hold faltered. Mine?
You looked up and he was smiling but still you could see tears, “why are you crying, Yunho? Aren’t you my strong boy?” you wiped his tears. You haven’t seen him so weak in front of you. In childhood days, he had cried to you so many times but as you both grew up, he became a tougher and stronger guy, hiding his emotions behind his smile and always distracting you from all the negativity by his goofy side.
“I love you, y/n. I love you so much. Fuck…whenever you are with me, I feel like to keep you away from everyone. Today, after all these years, I realized how much I love you even more than I could realize. I think about you everyday. I have loved you everyday and I don’t why you are the only one who can make me feel like this.”
You cupped his cheek and he closed his eyes, enjoying the warmth of your palm, “I married her to get over the fact that I was deeply in love with you. Seeing you in the bridal look made me realize that you won’t be ever mine. I have lost you. You were standing there in the most mesmerizing look with a hope in your sparkling eyes for him…not for me.”
“Yunho…”
He opened his eyes to meet your starry eyes under the night sky, “you could have said to me earlier.”
“but I was never yours.”
“And I was never his. I was just an obsession.” Tears fell from your eyes.
He leaned down, his lips ghosting over yours, “but you are my dream. Everyday I felt like to fall asleep forever just to see you for once where you are mine.”
“kiss me, Yunho. Don’t wait any more, you have already wasted these years. Before you lose me forever, make me yours. Make me feel like how it is to be someone’s dream.” You smiled before he pulled you in a kiss.
A kiss for which he waited from the day he tried to confess to you.
So this is how it’s like to be yours, y/n.
The slow rhythm of lips, the desire in each other’s embrace, the warmth of love, the admiration in their eyes and moreover the love they can feel in the kiss. The cold air surrounding the warm embrace they were sharing under the dark night with twinkling stars like the twinkling hope for each other.
Parting from the kiss, he pecked your lips and planted a soft kiss on your forehead.
“I don’t want to lose you ever. From now on, wherever you go, I go.”
“I love you, Yunho. I should have realized this back then when I had a crush on you but I always thought that you were interested in other girls and I was just a best friend. I was so shocked that you never told me about your lover but suddenly handed me your wedding invitation.”
“I never loved her.”
“So you only married her to forget me. Using her?” You stared at his brown orbs and glanced how his brown hair was blowing in the wind.
He shook his head, “no. She knew it already. She even stayed up late at night when I couldn’t fall asleep. She was a good person and I helped her to run away with her lover. It was all planned to settle in a different country.”
“Thank you, Yunho. You still remained as a good person, a person I fell in love with. I don’t want to lose you too. You are perfect, Yunho and this hurts me.”
“You are my perfect dream.”
“But I exist in reality.” You chuckled lightly and he laughed heartily before pulling you to his chest.
You tightened your grip around his body when he hummed and resteda his chin on top of your head, “tell me I am not dreaming like always and you are finally mine. I am yours and he didn’t snatch you away from me.”
You kissed his chest, “even if this is a dream. Let’s not wake up together. Let’s be like this forever and dream of each other like this. You are mine and I’m yours, Yunho.”
“I always felt like I was never yours but now I feel like to be with you for eternity. Let’s run away.”
You smiled and closed your eyes in his embrace, “together.”
[Anon <3 I hope this is okay with you. I feel so emotional whenever I write for Yunho. I should declare officially that he is my bias. Anyways he is MY MAN 🎀]

Loki Drabble
A/n: Just a little thought I had while watching the new episode of Loki. Requests are open!
Word Count: 844
Pairing: Loki x TVA!Reader
Summary: The three times Loki sees you in the past and the one time he finally catches up to the present
Warnings: Unedited, Season 2 spoilers ish
Tumblr media
You were at your desk in the TVA when you heard the commotion of your coworkers gawking at someone in front of you. “Y/n,” a strange man gasped as his hands came to cup your cheeks “gods darling you have to help me.” Your brow furrowed in confusion as you moved out of the man’s grasp. “You have five seconds to explain why you’re grabbing my face and calling me darling before I prune you.” You huffed in response, hand already searching for your weapon. “Darling, it’s me. It’s Loki.” He raised his hands in surrender as you shoved your time stick in his face. “Loki!? You mean the variant I’m supposed to be hunting down Loki?” You raise a brow, charging up the weapon and preparing to use it. Loki looked hurt, defeated even, as he seemed to melt into despair “You-you don’t remember me?” He frowned “I remember it's my job to get you off the timeline so the world doesn’t end.” You spoke as you lunged towards him. Loki was quicker though, sprinting through the hallways as you called for backup. You turned around a corner after him and heard a sort of yelp before you watched him seemingly get ripped from the universe. “What the hell was that?” You frowned as you looked to the men around you who just shrugged in response.
He had been moving through the TVA for a while now, through time more than space it seemed. He felt his body being ripped apart and pulled back together, he kept his eyes closed for a moment before he registered a scream that sounded oh so familiar. “Y/n?” He started hands already up as he approached you apprehensively. He’d had his fair share of run-ins with the past yous now and he just wanted you to recognize him. Maybe this was the actual war that He Who Remained had promised him. A war inside himself every time he saw you and you didn’t recognize him one bit. Didn’t remember the fight you’d put up for Mobius to keep him around, didn’t remember the adventures you’d been on with him. “Please don’t hurt me.” You mumbled and it was then that Loki realized that this you was different from the others. You were younger, the emotions you usually kept steeled away were present on your face, the main one being fear. He took a cautious step toward you “I could never hurt you.” He mumbled, looking into your confused eyes. He opened his mouth to speak again but before he could he was being ripped away once more, his hand reaching out to you as if you could save him.
“Where the hell do you think you’ve been?” Your voice echoed down the hallway as you marched up to Loki, looking decidedly pissed. “Darling-“ He started but you stopped him before he could get to far. “I stuck my neck out for you and then you escape?” You huffed, arms crossed over your chest. “I should’ve just let Mobius kill you after your little movie but no, I felt bad, and this is what it gets me.” You paused for a moment in your rant “And stop calling me darling, it isn’t going to win you any brownie points.” It must’ve been his first day he realized a little too late as you began to slip cuffs over his wrists and drag him back to the room he was held in. “You’ve got the wrong guy.” He tried to explain but even he didn’t know if he would be able to talk his way out of this one. “Oh, so there’s some other you running around wearing the exact same clothes doing the exact same thing as you?” You raised a brow as you shoved him into the room. “Honestly, for the god of lies, I thought you’d be better at the whole talking your way out of things. I mean seriously ‘you’ve got the wrong guy,’ I’m not a child Loki.” You mocked his voice as best you could and he couldn’t help the small smirk that came to his lips, remembering the other times you’d done it in far less serious matters. “Stop looking at me like that.” “Like wha-“ “Loki?! LOKI! What the hell!?” You looked down at the cuffs that had fallen to the floor and sent a message to Mobius that Loki was still at large.
You were walking out of the war room the next time he spotted you “Y/n, I don’t have time to explain but you know me and I need your help.” “I know I know you?” You looked at him confused “I’m more concerned about the whole appearing in front of me as a stringy flesh monster.” Loki breathed a sigh of relief and wrapped his arms around you “I love you darling, please don’t forget me again.” He paused for a moment pulling away to look at you “Stringy flesh monster?” “I’d say that’s a good way of putting it.” Mobius piped up from behind you.

OMG FINALLY!! *muach muach* oh my actually I'm a bit nervous and excited now lolol. Uhm—well since your request is open can I have Pyra head and Michael Myers (separately) chasing survivor!reader in trial but they just ignore the other survivors, solely chasing reader till the end of game. Something dark and lustful lingers around those two killers and you just don't know why! By the end of the game, the other survivors manage to escape to the campfire safely, however reader got stuck alone with the killer. When they finally catch you, oh shall you know all your hopes may shatter to pieces. You think this is the end, in the hands of ruthless killer chosen by Entity. But why their face (in pyra head's case it's his helmet) getting closer to your face and what make it's more confusing something comes out of that mask (i.e. a long tendril similar to tongue). Breath kink but instead of hand choking or strangulation, you choked on their tongue 👅
Feel free to ignore this if you still don't open req for dbd fandom
☀️
You are feeding me ambrosia with this sunnie!!! I have a weak spot for both of them, but-but- the Unknown??? Any thoughts????
Cw: DARKFIC?(it’s dbd, what do you expect??), DUB-CON/NON-CON, predator/prey, implied death, obsessive behaviour, choking?, super long tongue??, size kink/difference, tell me if I missed any. Wc: 1.5k
You were… unlucky. The Entity seemed to rejoiced in your pain more than any other survivor, feeding on your dashed hope for an escape from the perpetual cycle death and sacrifice, the painful sting on being slashed, the horrifying fate of being killed by the killer’s weapon of choice or the terrifying agony of being hooked. It was a painful affair, being the subject of her perverse protection, locked away in her universe to feed and be fed, blood for blood —quid pro quo.
But at times, your moments in her dark world was warm and charming like the people who gathered at the campfire, sharing their skills and abilities to keep the others alive throughout the…trials. The small moments stolen within the fog to keep yourself up and going, and happy, little smiles and bubbly laughs. It made trials easier, to know that the people who were screaming and working had your back in and out of them, to know what they would do made working in teams better and reassuring.
And yet- and yet it was all for nought, the killer had eyes for you only, stalking and following you with his arm raised despite the others coming between you two to stop him from maiming you. Unfortunately, The Shape - Micheal Myers - in all his ghostly glory and dirty suit, was a creature of obsession, of predatory possession that gave him a one track mind, tunnelling the person who he chose as his obsession; and you happened to be his choice of madness these last round, even when Laurie was with you.
There were some pros and cons with his constant stalking, the quiet steps echoing not so far behind you while they worked on the generators, unbothered and safe fro Myers, but you were stuck kitting him, running away from him by jumping over windows and dropping palettes wherever you could stun him to give you just a few more seconds of distance. He grew so, so close on multiple occasions, you felt his breath and his dark and imposing figure behind you, but he never once struck you down with his big knife.
It wasn’t so bad as long as he didn’t hit you, letting you run around and avoid the other three until they finished all five generators and opened the gates, the bell ringing loudly over your head, and even then, he ignored everyone for you. He, somehow, managed to corner you, to far from both gates and your teammates who you - in a desperate plea for a win - had yelled out to leave and let you find the hatch or run to a gate if things got didn’t worsen. Which had left you alone, ears ringing and head beating against your cage, cornered and afraid of the giant who stared you down with a red gleam in the dark pits of his eyes.
Every step he took backed you up further against the rugged wall of a house - his childhood home - and pressed himself against you, the rough texture of his suit irritating your skin as he dropped the knife to touch you, running over his course fingers down your shoulders. Myers was scarily touchy, pads digging into the fat of your hips, groaning and grunting as he ground against you, drinking in your whimpers and hisses, fists hitting his chest without any result. Was it so surprising? He was a monster, a devil’s spawn, who had you in hands, a uselessly struggling victim that was too weak to stop him.
His game of cat and mouse came to an end, where you forgot what you were initially doing, choking around his thick fingers, the filthy taste hitting you harshly as his jabs. He pressed his fingers down the back of your throat, panting loudly at your gags and rutting his fattening cock on your navel. You shuddered at the feel of it, the thick bulge threatening to pop a button off his jumpsuit, and you feared, you were terrified at your wandering thoughts, the implication of it when faced with a beast like Myers.
Ding
Then the final call rang, a long and echoing sound that called the end of the trial. It was quiet for a few seconds, and all you felt was pain, agony ripping through you as The Entity swallowed you up with her many arms. The last thing you saw was Myers bulge, pushed to your bloodied lips and filling your dying nose with a thick and heady musk, a metallic and dusty smell that would linger on your tongue.
You had hoped that she would give you a second, let you bask in the worry and affection the other survivors gave you, her whispers summoning you elsewhere in a drowning cloud of black fog and sent into your next match, placed somewhere in Midwich Elementary School. The many winding halls and rusted metal worked to confuse the survivors and killers alike, leaving only a selected few who were familiar with this realm. You crossed path with James a few times, but you knew he wouldn’t have given an offering for this, it was a sore memory for him, a reminder of his sins and regrets. So that left a single open left: Pyramid Head, the wandering executioner in the halls of Midwich, sentient and brutal in his ways.
He was a monster everyone feared, something created from the mind of a tortured man rather than a human turned monster, he was born a nightmare and would perish as one. That’s why you hid whenever you heard the telltale sound of his rusted great sword drag across the floor, knowing he had chosen you as his obsession and was actively turning a blind eye to the other survivors. You heard a few screams here and there, but he hadn’t downed anyone, seemingly to prefer leaving them half dead and limping to the next generator or survivor to heal.
You were doing well, working with Jane on the third machine, smiling to each other and sending encouraging glances while you looked over your shoulders from time to time, but your luck had run out. Pyramid Head stumbled your way, his head bobbing over the thick cords of his shoulders and chest, sinewy muscles bulging with every move. You both ran, Jane up the stairs and you down the hall, and he followed you. It was a familiar feeling, being the chased obsession of a killer, singled out by him to be the victim of his choosing.
Unfortunately, The Executioner never truly relished in the hunt, prowling fast and hard, ready to kill whoever he crossed, yet, strangely, he hadn’t raised his great sword, chasing you down a hall and into a dead end. You were fucked. Oh so terribly fucked if your assumptions were right. You turned to face Pyramid Head, fearfully glaring at him, eyes scouring the open space around him for a small point to slip away. You felt your small star of hope extinguish when he suddenly appeared before you, moving faster than he usually would, blocking your way with his body.
He was hard and warm under your palms, his laboured breathing resting on your shoulder in his dazed wandering, his ripped and bloody and filthy arms brushing against yours and feeling you up. You closed your eyes in terror, trying your best to snuff out your thoughts and the feeling of his touches, his fingers pinching and kneading the skin of your hips and thighs, slipping behind to occasionally feel your ass bend under his strong hands. You whimpered, raking your nails down his arms, trying and failing to stop him from going forward with his wants, turning your head away from him.
It seemed like he didn’t like that, forcing a gasp out of you when a wet appendage lapped at your cheek, leaving a slimy trail of drool until you reacted to him, gaping and hissing at him; and he took your shock and disgust to his advantage, slipping his tongue into your mouth. You retched, throat closing around his tongue, thrusting slowly to the back of your throat and up to spread over your palate. He lathered your mouth in his drool, willing your smaller and less nimble tongue to push at him, choking down any cries or gags from the sheer disgust that filled your guts (despite the small spike of arousal in your guts).
You wanted to scream about your situation, this fucked up situation you keep finding yourself with monsters like The Shape and The Executioner. Why you? Why you out of everyone else? You weren’t as significant or strong and determined as other survivors, so it confused and worried you, if they would force themselves onto you again and again until they either broke you or moved onto another poor survivor. But perhaps- just perhaps you could make something of it, seeing the thick pole that poked at your stomach, poking from under his loose loincloth and wetting it with a dark spot at the tip.
You loathed The Entity and her plans.
