Can we estimate how many days there were between the victory tour and Coach Peeta?
I’m not even sure I have a grip on when the Victory Tour even is?
It’s associated with the harvest festival - they decorate with colorful ears of corn (Oct/Nov) but it’s also almost midway between the games (Dec/Jan) and it’s snowing in District 12 in the unknown year that the book occurs so… ?
But I’ll take a crack at it *with the help of a friend @justafewberries* 😘
I did some scanning in the chapters following the Victory Tour and started listed some times (below the cut), but after all that, Katniss’s Prep team’s arrival popped out:
Winter has begun to withdraw by the time my foot is deemed usable. My mother gives me exercises to do and lets me walk on my own a bit. I go to sleep one night, determined to go into town the next morning, but I awake to find Venia, Octavia, and Flavius grinning down at me.
"Surprise!" they squeal. "We're here early!"
After I took that lash in the face, Haymitch got their visit pushed back several months so I could heal up. I wasn't expecting them for another three weeks
Katniss said ‘several’ (‘more than two but not many’) so I’ll suggest that means 3-4 months and that they are 3 weeks early means they arrive ~2/3 months and a about a week after the whipping or ~2/3 months and about two weeks after the Victory Tour.
The dresses air the next day along with the Quell announcement and Coach Peeta emerges the following day.
So I’m going with somewhere within 2.5 -3.5 months between the Victory and Coach Peeta.
I think it also makes sense that the Quell announcement is made ~ 3 months prior to the reaping/games (another ~ midway between point). ~April 4th could line up with the 3.5 months… depending on when you think the Victory Tour is of course…
Orrrrr (my new HC)
Thematically I put forward the idea that the Quell was announced March 19 and Coach Peeta emerged March 20 (the first day of Spring (adjusted to whatever year we think this is)) - Coach Peeta = Dandelion Peeta in his pesky weed era.
Shout out to @justafewberries for also pointing out:
I eat breakfast with my mother and Prim and head out in search of a confidant. The air's warm with hopeful hints of spring in it. Spring would be a good time for an uprising, I think. Everyone feels less vulnerable once winter passes. Peeta's not home.
Timeline Notes:
The Harvest Fest is the final day of the Victory tour. Then Katniss goes to the lake, leaving a trail for Gale to follow, presumably on the next possible Sunday(1-7 days later?). This is the same day that Gale is whipped.
From there, they’re snowed in for a few days (It takes two days for the storm to blow itself out, leaving us with drifts higher than my head.) before Katniss and Peeta’s stroll through town.
The mines are closed for two weeks (As the days pass, things go from bad to worse. The mines stay shut for two weeks, and by that time half of District 12 is starving.) then the miners return to work. Another parcel day elapses (The eagerly awaited food promised for Parcel Day arrives spoiled and defiled by ro-dents.)
After an unknown amount of time, the wedding dresses arrive and Katniss injures her heel. There’s a week of bedrest (I’m ordered to a week of bed rest and I don't object because I feel so lousy.)
And then after that, she wakes to Prep team who have arrived earlier than expected, yet still several months after her face injury (After I took that lash in the face, Haymitch got their visit pushed back several months so I could heal up. I wasn't expecting them for another three weeks.)
Additional notes:
Katniss says the reaping was nine months prior on the morning after the Quell announcement (Looking at Prim's face, it's hard to imagine she's the same frail little girl I left behind on reaping day nine months ago.) - I’m interpreting this as an estimation - not an exactly 9 months from today sort statement, so the late March date could still work
The Victory Tour is ‘Strategically placed almost midway between the annual Games, it is the Capitol's way of keeping the horror fresh and immediate.’
Katniss also still has a visible scar under the Prep team’s initial makeup that Cinna covers - if you consider that detail significant (I want to ask them more, but Cinna appears to give me a hug and check my makeup. His attention goes right to the scar on my cheek.)

The Handmaid’s Tale Timeline
Thanks everyone for your comments. I’m going to dig a little deeper into the data.
So what do we know or suspect?
• June was born in 1983. She mentions her age (34) in episode 2x02.
• Luke was born in 1980, mentioned in 1x06.
• According to fan wiki, Nick was born in 1990, but this was never confirmed in the show.
• Janine was born on September 30, 1992 — this is written on her file in 4x08.
• Hannah was born in 2009, according to June’s documentation. In 5x03, it’s mentioned that Hannah is 12 years old.
• Nichole/Holly was born in 2017, according to June’s records.
• Angela/Charlotte was born at the beginning of Season 1 and is still very little at the end of that season when June finds out she’s pregnant. We can assume Angela is about a year older than Holly, born in 2016.
• Caleb’s birth date is unknown, but in Season 3 it’s mentioned that he died four years ago, already as a child of Gilead. It’s also said it’s been five years since the women became Handmaids (3x10).
• When June gets to Canada, it’s mentioned that she had spent seven years in Gilead.
• June returns to Canada and Serena finds out she’s pregnant in Season 4.
• Noah is born at the end of Season 5 and still appears very young at the end of Season 6. Nick tells June in Season 5 that Rose is pregnant, and in Season 6 she still hasn’t given birth — so the time gap is less than nine months.
What does this suggest?
• Hannah was five years old when she was taken from her family. By the end of the series, she would be 13.
• Holly should be 5 years old by the end of the series, and Angela should be 6. However, Holly definitely doesn’t look like a five-year-old in Season 6.
• Gilead apparently came into existence around 2014, and June stayed there until 2021.
• At the beginning of the story, June had already spent two years in her first placement.
• Season 1 takes place in 2016. Season 2 in 2017.
• Season 3 would be in 2019, so she could have stayed with Lawrence for around two years.
• By Season 4, it should already be 2021, when June arrives in Canada. But that feels like too long a period for how much story space is actually covered.
• Seasons 5 and 6 appear to take place between 2021/2022.
• By the end of the story, June should be 39 years old, Nick 32, and Janine 30.
What definitely doesn't fit in the story?
• In 6x07, a date (26/11/2024) is visible in Nick’s car — but in the context of the story, it couldn’t possibly be 2024. It’s most likely just the actual filming date.
• In 4x08, June says she came to the Waterfords in 2017 — but that doesn’t make sense, as that’s also the year when Holly was supposed to be born.
• And as I mentioned, Holly doesn't match her supposed age in the story at all.

Well how did they all meet?
-✨ 🎀
Human au timeline!
Family? Lovers? Married? Dating? Siblings? whatever is going on in this au is FARRRRRR more complicated than words can describe but I’m attempting anyways! Hopefully the image isn’t too confusing
(Thank you so much for the ask I’m actually exploding with excitement to talk about this human au<3)
This au is old and that means it’s gone through many iterations and versions over the years but currently this is the timeline as I know it.
And while you asked how they met I decided it’s easier to just give a whole timeline rather than explain each individual meeting. However if more details are needed I’m happy to share! As each meeting is it’s own full lore post.
So much lore. At this point is it even sander sides or just original characters
Childhood:
Remus and Roman are obviously twins and have known each other since childhood
Virgil meets and befriends Emile
Adolescent:
Remus and Janus become friends. This is when distance started between the twins.
(Remy could have also possibly met Janus during this era)
Teenager:
Janus meets Virgil and after a while start dating. (This goes very badly for every single person involved and will have life altering consequences for the both of them<3)
Roman and Patton meet (they could also have met in college it’s up in the air)
Remy, Remus, Janus are friends.
Remy meets and befriends Emile they start dating shortly after
College:
Virgil and Janus break up (for the last time)
Logan is outcasted from his family and meets the rest of the gang.
Patton and Logan start dating
Roman and Virgil reunite and without Remus being present become friends and shortly start dating
Remy, Emile, Virgil, Roman, Patton and Logan become friends
Present times:
Janus is a mess after the break up and is taking it out on Remus
Remus is pining after Janus believing it’s finally his chance for romance
Roman, Virgil, Patton and Logan combine their gay powers and assume their final ultimate form of a very healthy happy polyamorous relationship
With Roman and Virgil being married and Logan and Patton being married
Remy and Emile get married yippee

What was happening 8 years ago in Harkleland?
Here are the timelines from this period:
April 2015 - April 2017, Part 1
April 2015 - April 2017, Part 2
May - June 2017
July 2017
After reviewing the timelines, I think there are a couple of contenders for the "8 years ago" lie--
Something involving Pippa's wedding
The BRF being welcoming
Meeting members of Harry's family
Her image
Quitting vs being fired from Suits
Something involving Soho House
Something involving merching or cooperation with certain reporters
My guess is we'll only find out what it is when Meghan writes her tell-all.

As long as we're doing Lilo and Stitch discourse, remember this:
Hawaii is stolen land.
1819: christian missionaries arrive in Hawaii. they ban alcohol, gambling, and dancing the hula. white businessmen arrive on the island and begin buying land.
1887: the king is forced at gunpoint to sign a new constitution. absolute monarchy is abolished. Hawaii becomes a constitutional monarchy where the right to vote is mostly exclusive to white men.
1893: coup d'etat. the queen is forced to abdicate. Hawaii becomes a republic. the first governor is a white man, the brother of the owner of Dole fruit company.
1898: with the support of the white government, president William McKinley annexes Hawaii as a US territory. As president, McKinley also annexed Puerto Rico, Guam, the Philippines, and American Samoa.
1901: McKinley is shot to death by anarchist Leon Czolgosz :) :) :)
1954: general strikes and protests against the white plantation owners. HUAC arrests the resistance leaders under the Smith Act for being communists. Nevertheless, the plantation owners are defeated. Voting rights are extended to native Hawaiians.
1959: Hawaii becomes a US state (upgraded from territory) with 93% of the popular vote.
2015: 95% of Hawaii's land is still owned by just 82 landholders :(

I have fully reworked and redesigned my Apollo timeline!! These designs are meant to depict Apollo from 2591 B.C.E all the way to 392 C.E., so a good 2,983 years of life lol. A lot of things have changed from my first and second versions of this timeline (which you can see here and here if you're interested) so I'm just gonna rewrite the whole things here for y'all to read and enjoy! (Also disclaimer as always I am not a mythology expert, and I am taking some liberties with dates and time periods so sorry if anything seems off!)
Baby: 2591 B.C.E
Apollo is born. That's pretty much all that happens here.
Fighting Python/Exile: 2591-2582 B.C.E.
Right after being born, Apollo goes off to fight Python. After this, he is exiled from Olympus for nine years due to his crime of committing murder. During those nine years, he spends most of his time as either a shepherd or a traveling musician, and observes mortals and their ways of life a lot.
Pre-First Punishment: 2582-2300 B.C.E.
After his exile, Apollo is allowed to ascend to Olympus. He takes on a form that is extremely similar to the mortals he's been living amongst for the past nine years. As the youngest member of the Olympian Council, Apollo is slightly naive, but desperate to prove himself to the rest of his family. Myths that occur during this time: 1. Apollo finds and mentors Chiron 2. Artemis and Apollo successfully convince their father to release Prometheus from his punishment. 3. Periphas, a king of Attica and priest of Apollo, was so beloved by his people that they honored him above Zeus. This angered Zeus, and he sword he would strike Periphas down and burn his home to the ground. However, Apollo begged Zeus to spare Periphas' life, and Zeus acquiesced. Instead, Zeus turned Periphas into an eagle, the same eagle that now rests on the top of his sacred sceptre.
Post-First Punishment (Troy): 2300-1250 B.C.E.
Back from his time as a mortal, Apollo is now the patron god of the city of Troy. He is extremely attached to his people, and has taken on a lot of their fashions and customs. He is a bit more reserved on Olympus because of the punishment, but he is still young and sure of himself, and is often one of the most active gods on the council. Myths that occur during this time: 1. Hermes is born. 2. The music duel with Marsyas occurs, and he is flayn. 3. Lots of cities are founded on the west coast of Ionia (Modern day Türkiye), many with myths surrounding Apollo. The city of Miletus was founded and named after a son of Apollo. Klazomenai claimed Apollo as their principal god. The city of Colophon becomes the seat of the Oracle of Apollo Clarius, and one of his sons, named Mopsus, lives there. Erythraea is also connected to Apollo's oracle, as it is the birthplace of Herophile. Once you add Troy to the mix, it seems as if Apollo just did a tour of Ionia and set up a bunch of towns along the way, which I think is pretty cool. 4. The seven against Thebes make their march to restore Polynices, Oedipus' son, to the throne. One of the seven, Amphiaraus, was a seer and favored by Apollo (and sometimes his son!). Amphiaraus was fated to die in battle, but Apollo found multiple ways to stretch out his final moments. He redirected attacks so that Amphiaraus was not harmed, and when the man's charioteer was killed, Apollo took the reins himself. When Amphiaraus finally passed on, Apollo wept over his corpse and let him be consumed by the earth, creating an Oracle at that spot.
Asclepius: 1250-1210 B.C.E.
Asclepius is born and Apollo keeps the same look throughout his entire life! Apollo doesn't have much to do with it, but the Argonauts set sail during this time.
Stealing the bolt/Killing the Cyclops: 1210 B.C.E.
This design only lasts a couple of weeks. In his grief, Apollo loses himself.
Second Punishment 1210 B.C.E
Apollo is given to Admetus as a servant for several months. The punishment doesn't last long, but Apollo's time with Admetus is essential in his journey to heal from Asclepius' death.
Trojan War: 1194-1184 B.C.E.
The Trojan War breaks out less than 20 years after Asclepius' death, bringing ruins and carnage with it. Apollo fulfills his duty as the patron god of the city, and viciously protects Troy from the attacks of other Olympians.
Post-Trojan: 1184-940 B.C.E.
The war was lost, and Troy was sacked. In the time following this, Apollo distances himself from mortals, desperate to escape the pain and grief of the last 70 years. This period of his life ends with the myth of Daphne. Myths that occur during this time: 1. Dionysus is born 2. Apollo saves Hemithea and her sister Parthenos and makes them immortal. 3. Apollo's oldest known temple is built in Thebes.
Daphne and Hyacinthus 940-776 B.C.E.
After the death of Daphne, Apollo is devastated. While he had been avoiding the mortal realm before, now he became increasingly uncomfortable on Olympus. He stayed in the mortal realm often, building up his reputation and setting up his popularity in Ancient Greece proper, which was just breaking out of the Dark Ages. Near the end of this period, he loves and loses Hyacinthus. Myths that occur during this time: 1. The cult of Apollo from Crete brings his worship to Delphi officially, and his temple is built at the site. 2. Apollo's music duel with Pan occurs.
“Main” Apollo 776-500 B.C.E.
Starting with the first Olympic games, This period is defined by glory and worship. Apollo's popularity in Greece increases exponentially, and this is only added to once he takes the reins of the sun chariot. He meddles in mortal affairs often during this time, growing into the persona we see of him today. Myths that occur during this time: 1. Niobe's kids are killed 2. Apollo falls in love with Cyrene, and gives her a city. 3. Tarquin purchases the Sibylline books. Sometime before this, Apollo curses the Sibyl of Cumae. 4. The Pythagorean cult is established, a group that religiously followed the teachings of Pythagoras. Alongside this, they mainly worshiped Apollo at Delphi. They used math to break down music, and believed "the universe as a whole was composed of harmony and numbers". 5. Phorbas, who is either a savage king of Elis or a giant, preys on travelers on the pilgrimage to Delphi. To put a stop to this, Apollo challenges the man to a boxing match, and kills him during the fight. Another Phorbas, this one hailing from Rhodes, is often confounded with this one. Apollo dated the second Phorbas, so I bet this was very confusing for a lot of poor Greeks. 6. The city of Megara fought for independence from Corinth, and claimed Apollo as their patron god.
"Classical" Apollo 500-300 B.C.E.
As Ancient Greece moves into it's classical age, and the height of it's glory, Apollo's worship continues to grow. In the 400's, Pericles and the architects of the Acropolis in Athens used the money held by the Delian league (An allied group of islands in the Cyclades, lead by Delos) to create their temple to Athena, which held the Athena Parthenos. This, alongside many other ways in which Athens attempted to take control of the rest of Greece, caused tension in both the mortal world and Olympus. Apollo begins to see cracks in the foundations of Greece, but can not do much about it at the time. Myths that occur during this time: 1. The Peloponnesian war breaks out. It lasts 27 years, with Sparta claiming victory over Athens in the end. Olympus continues to degrade as Athena and Ares spar. 2. Shortly after this, the Theban War starts. Sparta had won the Peloponnesian war and taken Athens place as the head of Ancient Greece, but many city-states took issue with this. Both Corinth and Thebes waged war against Sparta, with Thebes being victorious in this struggle. Thebes was Dionysus' city, and Corinth, Poseidon's. The Olympian council continues to splinter. 3. Apollo's first temple in Rome is built. The Temple of Apollo Medicus was constructed outside of the religious boundary in Rome, as Apollo was still seen as a foreign deity at this time, and so his worship was not permitted in the city proper.
Late Greece (300-146 B.C.E)
Greece is falling apart at the seams, with civil wars breaking out all over the region. Rome is growing stronger to the west, and eventually takes over Greece completely at the end of this period. Apollo attempts to ignore the signs of failure, keeping up a relaxed, even as the war begins to devour Greece entirely. Myths that occur during this time: 1. Dionysus journeys to India 2. Trophonius and Agamethus are killed.
Fall of Greece: 146-32 B.C.E.
Olympus falls, and will not come back together for a while yet. With each deity lost and unfocused, they all have to find their own way back to their former glory. Apollo is one of the last to return to the council, spending centuries wandering the ruins of Greece, burying his people and mourning the culture that had been lost. It is not until Augustus brings his worship to Rome that Apollo returns to Mount Olympus.
Rome 32 B.C.E.- 140 C.E.
Apollo is now one of the chief gods in Rome. Even though he is at the same level of power and popularity that he had during the height of Greece, it doesn't feel the same. Apollo drifts, going through the motions with very little passion behind it. It takes some time for him to warm up to his new civilization, which leads to:
Late Rome 140 C.E.- 392 C.E.
As Rome continues to grow and prosper, Apollo begins to grow fond of it's people. He interacts with them far more, and begins to once again meddle in their affairs, especially when it comes to the various emperors that ruled the nation. This trend continues until the eventual end of pagan worship in Rome. Myths that occur during this time: 1. Apollo meets, falls in love with, and eventually kills Commodus. 2. The Bacchanalia, which was a private cult festival of the Dionysian cult of Liber that was full of drinking and mingling of all social classes, becomes popular. This festival is obviously associated with Bacchus first and foremost, but there was a common rumour amongst members of the cult that you could meet Apollo at these celebrations.
And that's the whole thing! Hope you all enjoyed, this took a lot of time and research lol.

Trying to make the 9-1-1 timeline make sense: A Tommy Kinard Service Investigation 🧍♀️📈📉📊📋🧵
🧠 Tommy Kinard Timeline: Realistic vs Canon-Compatible We know Tommy is about 40–41 years old in the show. So I rewatched Chimney Begins a couple of days back, Chim joined the 118 as a probie while Tommy was already there — yeah, I blacked out and opened a spreadsheet.
So here’s how Tommy’s career might actually look… vs how we have to twist it to make it fit 9-1-1 canon 😅
🔹 Version 1: Realistic / Actual Timeline Assumes Tommy was a full U.S. Army helicopter pilot before joining the LAFD — based on the accurate 6-year service requirement that existed prior to August 2020. 2002 (Age 17): Enlists in the U.S. Army with parental consent 2004 (Age 19): Accepted into Warrant Officer Flight Training 2005 (Age 20): Graduates flight school at Fort Rucker, becomes a Black Hawk pilot 2005–2011 (Age 20–26): Serves full 6-year commitment as active-duty Army pilot 2012 (Age 27): Honorably discharged 2013 (Age 28): Enrolls in LAFD Academy 2014 (Age 29): Completes training and probationary period, joins a firehouse 2015–2017: Transfers to Station 118, works under early captains (pre-Bobby) 2017: Leaves 118 to join Harbour Unit as a rescue pilot 2017: Buck joins 118 as a probie, filling Tommy’s spot 2024: Returns in S7 as Air Ops pilot 📌 Clarification: Before August 2020, U.S. Army helicopter pilots were obligated to serve for 6 years after graduating flight school — not 10. That means Tommy could realistically have served from 2005 to 2011, joined LAFD in 2013, and reached the 118 by 2015.
❗But: Chimney canonically joined the 118 in 2005, and Tommy still wouldn’t have been there yet — so this version is more plausible, but still not canon-aligned. ❌
🔹 Version 2: Canon-Compatible Timeline Compresses military service to make canon timelines possible. 2000 (Age 17): Enlists in the Army 2002 (Age 19): Completes flight school via Warrant Officer program 2002–2004 (Age 19–21): Serves active duty; discharged early (injury, restructuring, etc.) 2004 (Age 21): Joins LAFD Academy 2005 (Age 22): Assigned to Station 118 as a full firefighter 2005: Chimney joins as a probie — Tommy is already established 2005–2016: Served at 118 under early captains Late 2016/Early 2017: Bobby Nash arrives as new captain 2017: Tommy works briefly under Bobby 2017: Leaves 118 to join Harbour Unit as a rescue pilot 2017: Buck joins the 118 as a probie, effectively taking Tommy’s spot 2024: Returns in S7 as helicopter rescue pilot ✅ This version keeps everything lined up with Chimney’s and Buck’s established timelines — and explains how Tommy could’ve already been at the 118 before both of them.
✍️ Meta note: Tommy wasn’t originally meant to return. He was first mentioned back in Season 2 as part of the 118’s past — folded into the backstories of Hen, Chimney, and Bobby. — The writers clearly weren’t planning for him to show up again in Season 7. But now that he’s canon again... we get to be ✨creative✨ to make it all fit 😌
📎 Note: All timelines, ages, and years used here are based on canon clues, but the show itself plays fast and loose with dates. So everything here is assumptive, patched together with love, logic, and a dash of spirally elbow grease 🧵🧠 Interpret with flexibility — because the writers sure do 😌 Don’t ask me why I did this. Send help.🚑🧑⚕️🏥
💬 If I missed something or fudged a date, feel free to correct me (kindly) — or stitch in your own version. I’m always down to spiral deeper. 🧵🔥

Is it just me, or is the timeline in The Handmaid’s Tale really confusing? How old do you think Holly, Hannah, and Angela are by the end of season six?
I had the feeling that Angela is about 5–6? Holly maybe 3–4? And Hannah is 13 or older? I think Hannah’s age was mentioned at some point, but I don’t remember in which scene.
I'm not even sure how long the whole story takes place over. Maybe someone has a better overview, and I'd be really glad if you could share what you know.
Thanks!

This timeline is meant to help people navigate this aesthetic thoroughly, from it’s start in 95 to it’s decline in 04 and the other aesthetics that overlapped, let me know if I should make one for Frutiger Aero/Metro.
McBling already covers a lot of aspects of the 2K1 Aesthetic, McBlings peak was 2003 declining in 2008 onwards, Generation Z often confuses McBling with Y2K which is understandable as they overlap so I don’t blame them, but the main aspect of Y2K is the futurism aesthetic the 2000’s main motif didn’t arrive until 2K1 and peaked with the McBling aesthetic as shown in the post.
Gen X Soft Club arrives in 1996 and declines in 2002, often overlapping the Y2K aesthetic and they both have elements that feed off of each other, Gen X YA/C is mostly a leftover aesthetic from the 90’s so it stops at an appropriate time which was a little after 9/11.
Please ask any questions or tweaks I should’ve made with this.
