I have not read much of the comics so I don't know how accurate it is, but may I suggest an alternative:

Bruce loves with his whole entire heart and I adore him for it but it also makes him very possessive and controlling of those he loves. He didn't necessarily want Tim at first but once he accepted him, he loved that boy and pulled him deep into his heart. Only Tim wasn't some orphan boy, he already had a father. It was easy when Jack was in a coma but after? Oh I bet it rankled at him to have to share his kid.

But he did it, for Tim's sake and because some part of him really did want Tim to have a good relationship with his dad while another recognized that Jack wasn't all that interested in getting to know Tim. Overshadowing both parts was the overprotective, snappish aspect that hated that Tim left every night for his own house.

He almost likes it when Jack Drake finds out about Robin, then he can confront the competition up front. Because Jack didn't realize he was in the midst of a custody dispute over his child, not until he saw Tim as Robin with Batman's possessive hand clamped on his shoulder. Two dogs growling at each other over a bone between them, both of them loving Tim in their own way but Hating that they have to share. Because Tim isn't always a Drake and isn't always Robin and is a mix of both and needs both Jack and Bruce and so in that short window before he's killed, the two dads have to make it work.

But they are so incredibly petty and passive aggressive about it.

Rowling isn't denying holocaust. She just pointed out that burning of transgender health books is a lie as that form of cosmetic surgery didn't exist. But of course you knew that already, didn't you?

I was thinking I'd probably see one of you! You're wrong :) Let's review the history a bit, shall we?

In this case, what we're talking about is the Institut für Sexualwissenschaft, or in English, The Institute of Sexology. This Institute was founded and headed by a gay Jewish sexologist named Magnus Hirschfeld. It was founded in July of 1919 as the first sexology research clinic in the world, and was run as a private, non-profit clinic. Hirschfeld and the researchers who worked there would give out consultations, medical advice, and even treatments for free to their poorer clientele, as well as give thousands of lectures and build a unique library full of books on gender, sexuality, and eroticism. Of course, being a gay man, Hirschfeld focused a lot on the gay community and proving that homosexuality was natural and could not be "cured".

Hirschfeld was unique in his time because he believed that nobody's gender was either one or the other. Rather, he contended that everyone is a mixture of both male and female, with every individual having their own unique mix of traits.

This leads into the Institute's work with transgender patients. Hirschfeld was actually the one to coin the term "transsexual" in 1923, though this word didn't become popular phrasing until 30 years later when Harry Benjamin began expanding his research (I'll just be shortening it to trans for this brief overview.) For the Institute, their revolutionary work with gay men eventually began to attract other members of the LGBTA+, including of course trans people.

Contrary to what Anon says, sex reassignment surgery was first tested in 1912. It'd already being used on humans throughout Europe during the 1920's by the time a doctor at the Institute named Ludwig Levy-Lenz began performing it on patients in 1931. Hirschfeld was at first opposed, but he came around quickly because it lowered the rate of suicide among their trans patients. Not only was reassignment performed at the Institute, but both facial feminization and facial masculization surgery were also done.

The Institute employed some of these patients, gave them therapy to help with other issues, even gave some of the mentioned surgeries for free to this who could not afford it! They spoke out on their behalf to the public, even getting Berlin police to help them create "transvestite passes" to allow people to dress however they wanted without the threat of being arrested. They worked together to fight the law, including trying to strike down Paragraph 175, which made it illegal to be homosexual. The picture below is from their holiday party, Magnus Hirschfeld being the gentleman on the right with the fabulous mustache. Many of the other people in this photo are transgender.

There was always push back against the Institute, especially from conservatives who saw all of this as a bad thing. But conservatism can't stop progress without destroying it. They weren't willing to go that far for a good while. It all ended in March of 1933, when a new Chancellor was elected. The Nazis did not like homosexuals for several reasons. Chief among them, we break the boundaries of "normal" society. Shortly after the election, on May 6th, the book burnings began. The Jewish, gay, and obviously liberal Magnus Hirschfeld and his library of boundary-breaking literature was one of the very first targets. Thankfully, Hirschfeld was spared by virtue of being in Paris at the time (he would die in 1935, before the Nazis were able to invade France). His library wasn't so lucky.

This famous picture of the book burnings was taken after the Institute of Sexology had been raided. That's their books. Literature on so much about sexuality, eroticism, and gender, yes including their new work on trans people. This is the trans community's Alexandria. We're incredibly lucky that enough of it survived for Harry Benjamin and everyone who came after him was able to build on the Institute's work.

As the Holocaust went on, the homosexuals of Germany became a targeted group. This did include transgender people, no matter what you say. To deny this reality is Holocaust denial. JK Rowling and everyone else who tries to pretend like this isn't reality is participating in that evil. You're agreeing with the Nazis.

8. How loose is their use of the phrase ‘I love you’?

WEIRDLY SPECIFIC BUT HELPFUL CHARACTER BUILDING QUESTIONS

now  it  depends  on  the  circumstances.  if  we're  talking  about  friends  and  family,  she  will  throw  those  three  words  out  like  it's  no  one's  business  cause  she  wants  to  remind  people  everyday  that  she  loves  them  and  they  have  someone  who  genuinely  cares  and  loves  them.  despite  her  saying  it  constantly,  she  means  it  every  single  time.

if  we're  talking  about  being  in  love......  it  is  not  used  loosely  at  all.  that  is  something  she  will  say  when  she  knows  it's  real.  when  she  knows  she's  scared  to  say  it.  last  she  used  it?  on  her  ex.  a  waste.  so  she  gets  scared  to  even  allow  herself  to  love  someone  like  that  again.  not  to  mention,  it  doesn't  feel  safe  with  her  line  of  her  work.  is  she  a  hopeless  romantic?  yes.  does  the  idea  of  being  in  love  and  saying  i  love  you  to  someone  pop  in  her  head  from  time  to  time?  absolutely.  will  she  allow  herself  to  fall  like  that  again  and  tell  someone  she  loves  them?  she  doesn't  know.  but  if  she  does  tell  you "i love you",  know  that  she  means  it  and  she's  terrified.

How do I even begin to describe it?

It's living the rest of your life in a haze, there's laughter and smiles and long conversations, and arguments and tears but it seems so all on autopilot when that feeling comes back

Like living two lives, and one is so so tangibly real and aching and pulling and CALLING towards some invisible being. While the other is real and normal until it's not

But you can't let go you can't, because surely there's someone out there on the other end of that tug, and you can't just abandon them you can't you don't want to

Do I want Talia discovering her thought to be dead son to be alive? Yes. Do I want her to find him while investigating Amity Park when the League gets reports of 'Lazarus creatures/water'? Yes.

DO I WANT HER TO KNOCK ON THE FENTON'S DOOR, fully ready to pretend/honey talk her way into the house to uncover what the Fenton's know, ONLY TO MEET A LITTLE ELLIE?!

ok but seriously, thank you all so much for all the support. i never really. expected to make it this far? like, ever?? i’ve mentioned it a few times on here, but i’ve been a lurker for the past… 2 years, i think? and even before that, i never gained much traction outside of a couple posts. so this has been. very new to me!! in a nice way!! it’s weird to feel like an actual member of a community!! that people know about!

the idea of finally coming back to social media was Daunting (i literally got stress hives writing my first post lol) and the warm reception really. meant a lot?? i don’t think i would’ve ever gotten the courage to come back if i hadn’t been encouraged to by the people over at the isat discord!!

the fact that people actually care about my art still doesn’t feel real?? seeing people take inspiration from my art is just. surreal. just. auagssh. thank you all so so much for everything, i really do appreciate it!!! i’m really glad to be in this community. sorry if this all sounds sappy and long winded i’ve just got a lot of emotions about this whole thing!!
