Odd question, but do you have any fave winter Drarry fics? Doesn’t necessarily have to be holiday themed but that would be welcome too! It’s getting chilly here in New England and I’m craving some winter fics!! 💙
Hi anon! Not an odd question at all, love myself some cozy fics to indulge on cold days ❄️ hope you enjoy these. Stay warm!

Draco takes up wild swimming. Harry joins him.
Trenches by sara_holmes (M, 3k)
They're auror partners, smoking buddies, wine mates, co-inhabitants of a snow filled trench somewhere in western Scotland, and they've had it with being cold.
In the Midnight Blue by @xanthippe74 (T, 5.5k)
On a Christmas Eve broom ride over Hogwarts, Harry shows Draco that he’s braver than he thinks.
Crystal Clear by @icmezzo (T, 6.7k)
Harry customizes a snow globe. Draco listens to centaur weather reports. Ron investigates the height of Pansy’s boots. And Hermione knows even more than everything, as usual. (No one signs up for the class for lactating witches.)
Cabin Fever by @lettersbyelise (E, 8k)
When Harry Potter finds himself trapped in a snowed-in cabin with Auror partner Draco Malfoy, he doesn't expect his predicament to help him solve the case they are working on... or to fulfill the secret fantasy he harbours for Draco.
Tidings of Comfort by @blamebrampton (G, 10k)
When a man is tired of London, he is tired of life. Luckily for Draco Malfoy, London has places where the tired can rest and recover.
warmest part of the winter by warmfoothills (T, 11k)
It’s not even a balcony, it’s just a window with a bit of a ledge, and Draco’s read Shakespeare anyway, he knows how this one ends.
Love All Lovely by @shealwaysreads (T, 19k)
Draco comes home for Christmas, and discovers that sharing is the best way of celebrating old traditions, and new ones too.
Benevolence and Redemption by silvered_glass (M, 19k)
Draco's the most unlikely Auror recruited to the department in at least three centuries. Ostracised and unwanted, he's been on paperwork duties for the three years since he finished training.
White as Snow by @bixgirl1 (E, 19k)
After a quick escape from danger, Harry and Draco find themselves trapped in a blizzard, a small cabin their only refuge from the storm. It's the perfect place to recover and regroup — and to have a long-overdue conversation or two.
(You’re a) Revolution by @stargazing-enby (M, 23k)
Eight years after the end of the war, Draco Malfoy stumbles into Harry’s shop in the middle of a storm—no wand, no backstory; no signs of having lived in the country since the Battle of Hogwarts. During their first encounter, Harry promises—and the words sound like an old mantra—that he'll figure out Draco's secrets eventually.
Historians by @oknowkiss (E, 30k)
It’s the Dumbledore’s Army Reunion Holiday, and Harry’s found himself in hot water with his friends once again, after telling them he has a boyfriend he definitely does not have. In an attempt to fix things, he’s made it his colleague on Level Nine, Draco Malfoy’s problem too. Featuring a ski chalet in Switzerland, a pair of bunk beds, and an agreement that should’ve been simple, were it not for all the bloody feelings getting in the way.
Running on Air by eleventy7 (T, 75k)
Draco Malfoy has been missing for three years. Harry is assigned the cold case and finds himself slowly falling in love with the memories he collects.

❄️ The Ice Dragon by George R. R. Martin
Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5
“Adara liked the winter best of all, for when the world grew cold the ice dragon came.”
I told myself that I wanted to do a yearly reread of this book and then I realized that this would actually be the second time I read the book this year. I read it back in February, but of course I want to read it again!
The Ice Dragon follows Adara, a child of cold and winter, as she bonds with a mystical dragon who only comes during that season. Adara is cold towards people, but loves the ice dragon that she’s claimed as hers. But when war is afoot and enemy dragon-riders start to appear, things must change.
An absolute comfort read for me. I read this book years ago and fell in love with the magical storytelling, Adara the child of winter, and the changes of the seasons shown in the landscape and in her heart.
If you’re a fan of Game of Thrones, read this book.
If you’re not a fan of Game of Thrones, but you like fantasy, then give this short book a shot!

Doing some War and Peace reading tonight! Slow but steady process but I've made it to part three of the first volume. Here's a quote:
"Prince Vassily had the look of a man burdened by affairs, weary, exhausted, but finally unable, out of compassion, to leave to the mercies of fate and of swindlers this helpless youth[Pierre], his friend's son, apres tout, and with such an immense fortune."
I really like Prince Vassily, even if his motives are not 100% clean surrounding Pierre and his plans for his daughter, but the beginning of part three does a great job at explaining his character and his motives, or lack thereof.
