I imagine that, once Osiris wakes up, Magnus shows up one day at the hospital room by surprise, and Osiris is all confused. Then, Magnus just walks up to him, throws his beefy arms around Osiris, and starts crying. "I missed you," he says.

Osiris smiles. He puts a hand gently on the giant Titan's shoulder. Even the strongest can break. Osiris comforts him and says, "I was never truly gone, you know. I'm always here for you."

Magnus nods. "Thank you, Osiris," he says. He backs off. "I just... I came here to tell you something."

"What's that?" the Warlock asks.

"I'm... I realized I like men because of you. You always knew I was gay, even before I knew. But you're the reason I came to terms with it. You and Saint-14. I just can't thank you enough for it. I can't thank you a thousand times over and think it'll be alright. No. I owe you everything. Because Cayde and I have a family now. We're raising a son. An Eliksni boy named Ace. And it's all thanks to you and Saint. We owe you everything. I owe you everything."

Osiris chuckles. "You owe me nothing, Titan. Except another match in the Crucible when I'm recovered," he says. "I'm glad you realized who you are because of my husband and I. You're strong. Stronger than any of us will ever be. But you know that already. But what you don't know is this: inside, you're braver than anyone else, too. You killed Savathûn for me, for everyone, and faced the Nightmares, and more. When the world needs someone, you answer. Every damn time. We the people owe you everything, and the fact that I could give it... I couldn't be happier."

Now, Magnus smiles, wiping the tears from his face. "Thank you, Osiris."

Then, when Osiris is recovered, he comes knocking on Magnus and Cayde's door one day, by surprise as well.

Magnus answers, and sees him and Saint-14 together, holding a basket of baby supplies, and some clothes. Magnus smiles, and welcomes them both inside.

"I'm sorry we missed the baby shower," Saint jokes. "But we hope this makes up for it."

Magnus chuckles, and takes the basket. He notices everything is perfect for Ace, and sets it on the table.

"I went to the Eliksni Quarter, and had the citizens' help in gathering what would be proper for a growing Eliksni baby," Osiris says. "Where's your husband?"

Suddenly, Cayde comes rushing out, holding Ace in one arm, a bottle of Ether in his other hand, and he's feeding it to the baby who is chirping happily. "Sorry, it's feeding time," he says. He walks over, and kisses Magnus on the cheek. "You didn't say they were coming!!" he whispers quite loudly by accident.

Magnus laughs. "I didn't know they were coming, either," he says. Turning back to Osiris and Saint, he smiles. "Thank you for this. By the Traveler, thank you."

Saint goes in for a hug. Magnus returns the hug happily. They clap each other on the shoulder at the same time, then chuckle at this, and separate.

"We've both come to ask you something," Osiris says.

"What's that?" Magnus and Cayde ask.

"Do you want to go on a double date with us?"

Cayde and Magnus look at each other, grinning wide. "Hell yes!!" they say at the same time.

Osiris and Saint smile now. "Good," they say together.

Osiris is next. "Raising a child isn't easy. You clearly need a break. Desik has agreed she will watch Ace for the night for both of you, no trouble at all."

Magnus smiles again. "Well, I've certainly got the glimmer to pay her." He puts an arm around Cayde, and kisses him. "Thank you. Both of you."

"It's the least we can do," Saint tells him.

You know how Anne Rice cemented in her books that her vampires "couldn't" have sex? It was always a bit unclear to me whether she meant that drinking blood was so good they just chose not to, or whether they were physically incapable. I had theories - no erection due to low heart rate? Skin and muscles too inflexible to accomodate penetration? Only the ancients could potentially do it with each other because they're so physically hard they'd tear anyone younger apart? etc. etc. Ultimately the whole concert felt like thinly veiled religious puritanism, as if Anne Rice potentially wanted to keep her smut to the Beauty series and force herself to write the vampires "clean", like she might have felt that all the brutal things they did were less morally "bad" than sex could ever be. It made me angry. But ANYWAY - that's not what this post is really about. It is about how I ended up developing this headcanon that LESTAT is the only who thinks they can't have sex. Everyone else is potentially fucking like rabbits if they so choose - some of them are ace or otherwise choose not to - but only Lestat thinks they can't, and is usually so busy with Lestat adventures that he just... doesn't. Until he does whatever *fade to black* happens with Akasha and realises oh, well, that's awkward. Did everyone else know? And once the dust settles everyone else confirms that yes indeed, they knew. And yeah, then there's book canon science things, but I came up with this before that was released. I just kinda love the idea that Lestat is full of himself but there's something really obvious that he's just not cottoned on to.

Yeah well. I mean it's a head canon.

Also I have no idea where that take comes from that Lestat is always so "full of himself". The guy is walking insecurity and trauma bundled up in too much power and hidden by bravado.

But just for the record:

He has imposter syndrome. It means he believes his achievements aren't enough or they're not good, even though he's proven worthy of his position and achievements. People with imposter syndrome also have an internalized fear of being found out, believing they are a fraud.

yeah cayde is/was SUPER depressed. dude just kept losing people and even at the very end of it all he lost the one who was there with him the whole way. though the fact that he has tripmine grenades and a travelers chosen-ified ace of spades makes me hope sundance is back... and if she's back, maybe sagira? bungie? please? torment us with her presence while Osiris is kept from seeing her because he has to protect everyone

Yeah that's what I thought, he went to acceptance way too quickly in his last stand to NOT be depressed- or at least very very tired of continuing on like this. Something that I think people forget about his final stand is that its clear he wanted to go out on his own terms and that I don't think he would have wanted to live without Sundance. It would have been living hell for him- better to get Uldren to shoot him and just be done with it

I rlly hope that Sagira comes back just to at least tell us to tell Osiris that she loves him, but seeing how Cayde is directly imbued with light, I'm not sure anymore 😭 why need a ghost when you can get Light directly from the source, after all? I'm hoping that I'm wrong but it wouldn't surprise me if Sagira gets forgotten about or not prioritized with Bungie's two favorite Special Bois (Crow and Cayde) occupying so much space in the narrative

My Destiny OCs: #1

Acelyn (Ace) Spade

Human Solar/Stasis Titan

Ghost:

Sparky - He was damaged by the hive while searching for his guardian in the earlier days causing a crack in his optic that never fully healed and occasionally sparks with arc energy shocking anyone or thing around him. This led to him not being well liked and avoided by other ghosts which gave him a bad attitude. His only ghost friend in the tower was Pulled Pork/Glint who was also unnamed and searching for his guardian at the time.

Background:

She was resurrected by Sparky on Europa outside a testing facility that the pair of them assume she had tried to escape from only to die in the cold. She had a medical style bracelet on that had the name Acelyn.S on it along with a few codes and numbers.

She was rezzed looking something close to sixteen which upset Sparky who felt the Traveler had to be messing with him or that he had made a mistake due to the damage he took earlier in his life, however while trying to find a ship and escape Europa the pair bonded and became extremely close.

They also find some of the testing logs for the experiments Ace was a part of. They find out that Ace's father was dragged into the Exo program and that her mother passed away due to health issues leaving Ace in the custody of Braytech until her father's time with them was up. She learned she wasn't the only one in a similar situation with many teens and children having ended up in the custody of the group.

Acelyn also has very vivid dreams which she learned were also present during her life and were part of the experiments she was a part of.

She ends up using Solar as her main subclass as she really hates the cold after so long on Europa and it makes her feel safe however when she's incredibly stressed or upset she slips into Stasis instinctively. She doesn't know what Stasis is at first but it was another part of the tests on Europa she was a part of.

Connections:

During her time on Europa she becomes close to a fellow new light named Cullum who was also raised in the lab by his ghost Lilac. However they get separated by the Vex and she doesn't find him again before being rescued off the planet.

Saint-14 was the one available at the time to check out the distress signal sent to the vanguard that Sparky and Lilac managed to rig up together, so he is the one to rescue Ace and bring her back to the tower. He ends up in a mentor/parent figure role for her after that point.

Due to her connection with Saint she also gets close with Osiris and he helps her decipher the weird dreams she has believing them to be visions not unlike the type he himself has experienced.

As a titan, Zavala is her vanguard and she does talk with him but she finds him intimidating and tries to avoid contact when at all possible.

And yes, she is the Ace that Cayde-6 can't quite fully remember due to his resets and resurrection as a guardian. It is something she becomes aware of while going through the information she collected from Europa. Whether or not she reaches out to him changes depending on the story.

She ends up in a clan with many of my other OC characters including Cullum, Lenore, Fenris, Kori and Azrael. They call their clan the Time-Stompers and their symbol is a broken hourglass.

Fun fact:

It is my headcanon the Guardian's physical forms are manifestations of their light/spark/soul and therefore can change over time or even be purposefully changed if their ghost has the right information.

As such as Ace matures as a guardian she also matures physically allowing her to reach adulthood despite now being technically an unaging immortal being.
