Haruto's new ref is finished!!

I kept his hair mostly the same, just made the bang symmetrical. Persona 5: Phantom Cat

An idea that plagued me ever since I saw Poppy Playtime Chapter 3 and been playing Persona 5 Royal. Joker but he's a Bigger Bodies CatNap. Things are gonna go insane and have a new flavor of dark.

For those who want to learn more about Poppy Playtime before delving in, this post has all the current info links.

Ren Amamiya was an orphan raised in the Playcare orphanage at Playtime Co. A secondary candidate for the Catnap Bigger Bodies experiments if one were to be found too unstable to use(looks at Ch3 CatNap). It's clear from the various VHS tapes which can be found throughout the chapter that there are some workers who been aware about the horrors done in Playtime Co.

People who absolutely hated it or disagree with such inhumane idealism. One particular scientist decides to do something unheard of: allow a child experiment to escape. Ren being the chosen person as they had grown close to him but were unable to adopt him in time before experimentation. The transformation for the boy gone faulty which led to a more unorthodox method of conversion.

Ren was made into a small Catnap who will overtime grow into a Bigger Bodies version. The perfect size for the scientist to sneak him out in a duffle bag and vanish after work was done for today. A simple swap with a normal Catnap toy.

No one knew they were in the process of moving to Japan nor the truth until it was too late. An experiment has gotten out into the real world. The scientist alongside the recently converted Ren were unaware about the growth process and thought he been made into a normal toy.

A mistake that became noticed when Ren had double in size within a span of two weeks. Despite this new problem, the scientist did his best to raise the boy. Unlike the other CatNap, Ren is completely different from the Smiling Critters as a whole.

His face isn't a stuck in a perpetual grin and he can make various facial expressions like his cartoon counterpart. Ren is around 12 years old when he fully grew into his staggering 23 ft tall Bigger Body. Long lanky body that is more lean has an almost humanlike upper torso. Well if they got extra long limbs.

The youth can easily pretend to be a toy as he's well fed and the healthy weight hides his bone structure. (CH3 CatNap was starved.) Ren can compress his body to 11 ft at minimum for the moment. He needs to train in order to shrink to the size of a plush, even more to reach rat size(thank Shido's Palace.)

Ren doesn't produce Red Smoke but instead normal choloform. This is because he would be upgraded once reaching full size back at Playcare under The Doctor's orders. A safe measure to not deal with two rogue Red Smoke spraying CatNaps.

He didn't have a voice box added as the employees involved in this experiment rather leave him mute. Ren does get one from his rescuer which sounds like his own voice but can be adjusted to fit his age. Despite being a Bigger Body the youth lives a very happy life.

A few weeks after Ren's thirteenth birthday is when tragedy struck. The boy lost his parent from the result of a drunk driver(Shido.) Ren is forced to pack up all his prizes possessions and leave knowing their family home would soon be foreclosed.

He moves into Yogen-jaya as the place was the closest, most rural but most importantly least populated area. Ren survived by eating whatever food people threw out and stealing from homes if desperate. On one fateful day, he breaks into Sojiro's place where meets Futaba.

She was obviously frightened by the 11 ft (compressed) monstrous cat in her house. Until Futaba notices that the strange creature acted more like a hungry skittish feline from the almost empty messy fridge. It was in that moment Futaba would do something insane. She let Ren stay with her.

Using her hacking skills, the youth stole money from people's bank accounts/cards and ordered Ren food to pick up in secluded spots throughout the neighborhood. The duo's bond becoming that of siblings over time. Although it didn't take long for Sojiro to bump into Ren.

He was super concerned and frightened to see the giant feline in his home even when Futaba jump into his defense. It took awhile before Sojiro trusted Ren as he let the Bigger Body stay due to the sibling bond with his adopted daughter. The two were obviously disgusted at Playtime Co once they heard about the boy's backstory.

For those wondering, this entire thing did change events in the Persona 5 main story. The first being the Phantom Thieves line up. Makoto takes Ren's position as she was taken into Kamoshida's Palace alongside Ryuji in his place. He becomes leader much later.

Next is the Palace lineup. There are no time limits for the first two(no expulsion threat nor Medjed threat. Makoto kept Ryuji from losing his cool for the former.) Futaba's Palace takes the second slot instead of Madarame. The reason being her mental attacks have gotten so worse that Ren sought the Phantom Thieves' help upon finding the Phansite. Futaba was rightfully upset upon finding out but she understood her big brother's worry.

A few depictions of Ren can be found inside her Egyptian Themed Palace, each showing him as a guardian deity. Even Shadow Futaba carries a little charm that looks like him. Ren also awakens Arseńe in this very Palace. His Phantom Thief outfit remains the same but can stretch or shrink to fit his body no matter the size change. Same goes for his weapons, the knife becoming a broadsword when large and the handgun into a grenade launcher.

The current Phantom Thieves absolutely freaked out when they first met Ren. For the beginning, he gave them the request and the keywords to reach her Palace. However Ren wasn't aware that a new obstacle had manifested due to his powerful bond with Futaba.

A stone Sphinx at the halfway point who will only let them through if they present the 'The Pharaoh's True Guardian'. The group believe they needed a plush which is sorta correct. I thought it be funny yet perfect symbolism to make Ren a key companion for Futaba's Palace. Now onto the Joker changes.

Ren is still a Wildcard but he has no access to his original Velvet Room. Keyword being 'original' for he'll gain usage to a completely different one. This one being managed by Margaret who been concerned about the strange behavior of Igor and Lavenza's absence.

Ren's appearance in the Velvet Room is his canon iteration. Although this room takes the appearance of a fun house with him wearing a Catnap hooded costume. Every mechanic in the Velvet Room revolves around carnival rides or game booths.

Fusion are the tea cup rides while Fusion Alarm shifts into Bumper Cars. Itemization is a the Disappearing Crate magic trick. Strengthening results in the Hall of Mirrors. Training being various games from tossing to dunk tanks.

Toy au info !! :3

**Whole.** (He/Him)

It's kind of a toy story situation, with whole as a human and the owner of the toys. Whole is about 10 in this au, diagnosed autihd (projecting, obviously)

**Heart.** (He/It)

Heart is a soft knit plushie, colored with a monotone light purple and dark purple for the legs, hoodie strings, and blindfold. It's blindfold is removable and was added after an "accident" (I'll get into that in a sec) with Wholes dog where his 'eyes' (sewn on buttons) where severely damaged. Heart has a few different hoodies, all of which being made for baby dolls but fit heart, the stitches on his hoodie are from the dog incident. Whole doesn't want to use the other hoodies for heart so he had his grandparents sew the holes in the clothing. Also toy!heart is a two pound weighted plush partially filled with specially treated millet like warmies, contained inside a fabric pouch with a lavender sent inside. He can be put in the microwave much like a warmies plush as well.

**Mind.** (It/They)

Mind is a robotic toy. He is mainly blue and black with an antenna on the top of his head. Instead of the shot, Heart had pushed Mind off of Whole's desk onto the hardwood floor in an attempt to destroy him because of Mind being a put it together toy, he wasn't very sturdy. which led to Mind deliberately giving heart to the dog.

**Soul.** (He/It)

Soul is similar to a lalaloopsy doll, with some extra joints and a half sharpied face, plus with painted black legs (the shoes on the doll mold were already black with red laces). Whole had gotten some extra clothing for Soul on his birthday, containing his jean jacket, and a grey T-shirt. Soul still acts as the 'leader' in this au, his trident being made out of cardboard and red marker.

Rook Info Compilation part 3: Rook and Leona

Rook seems to have a fascinating relationship with Leona, which may exist entirely in his own head.

To quote,

“If those sharp fangs of his pierced my windpipe, why, I’d be done for in an instant. The very notion makes my heart quiver.”

“I could watch Leona all day and never tire of it.”

“You have ample athletic ability and your physique would add extra flair to your dancing. Not to mention your wonderful, resounding voice.”

“Is the Roi du Poison perhaps jealous? You’re the fairest in the school, of course. You don’t need to feel threatened.”

“I’d be lying if I said it didn’t get my hunter’s blood boiling every time I look at him.”

“I so ache to corner that calm, collected quarry just enough to make him bare his fangs. Oh, to find myself in the position to make him squirm!”

In a vignette, Rook corners Ruggie and blackmails him into revealing one of Leona’s weaknesses.

Rook catches Ruggie physically by the tail and refuses to let him go “until you divulge that which I wish to know”. When Ruggie will not, Rook threatens to seek out Ruggie’s weaknesses instead on the basis that a hyaena’s weak points must not be so different from those of a lion.

Rook is satisfied with Leona's "weakness" of disliking vegetables, saying he is uninterested in more damaging information, as, “I prefer something more…exhilarating. Like when one slides a pawn across the entire chessboard. Or like when one leads a beauty in their first dance.”

Rook and Leona share a homeroom class (which may or may not have something to do with why Leona's attendance is so poor), and Rook describes him as “a classmate and a friend, as well as a rival who puts my skills to the test. At least, he is for now.”

For Leona’s birthday Rook gifts Leona with a portrait of Leona himself. Leona says the portrait is “pretty decent” but “the thought of him watching me all this time creeps me out”, insinuating that it was Rook who painted it.

He asks Ruggie if he thinks his own fur would be better suited to a scarf, carpet or coat.

Rook catches both in the cafeteria and reveals the information he forced from Ruggie. He invites Leona out to dinner, saying, “the stronger the prey, the more I am driven to ensnare it.” (also: "It's rather cute the way his tail thrashed about when he's irate.")

(On NA Rook once refers to Leona as an “idiote”, but this was added to the English translation to the game. Rook has never name-called anyone in any of his original dialogue. Also, it seems that is the feminine form of the word? But Rook's French is described as "native level" during Glorious Masquerade.)

Vil threatens to remove Rook from his vice-housewarden position to rein in his harassment of Leona. To quote,

Vil: “While Leona is little more than a good-looking layabout, he is quite troublesome when angered. Do not let your provocations get out of hand.”

Rook: “Is that an order?”

Vil: “You’re welcome to take it that way…My vice house warden deserves a front-row seat to bear witness to my life’s work. I urge you to exercise discretion and ensure that you do not lose that seat. Because I would replace you immediately if you got our dorm into trouble.”

I... My draft I had for this post got deleted, so I had to redo the ENTIRE THING. Thank you so much for being patient with me. Without further ado...

Info: You're in the same dorm as your s/o.

He surprises you for your birthday. To be honest, you don't really celebrate your birthday, so you're surprised when he wishes you a happy birthday.

You are very confused when Trey wishes you a happy birthday.

"Happy birthday, Y/N."

"Oh, thank you, Trey! But... how did you know it was my birthday?

*Trey's already walking away*

Cue very confused noises from you as you try to figure out how Trey knows it's your birthday.

Trey takes you to a nice restaurant (not super fancy, but decently priced). He says to get what you want since it's your birthday.

You're hesitant since you don't want to have him spend a lot of money on what was otherwise a normal day. Trey insisted, also adding that the money was Riddle's, who'd heard Trey wish you a happy birthday. Riddle had given Trey the money so that you two could go out, saying to consider it his gift to you.

After that, you gladly ordered the foods that caught your attention. You even got dessert afterward. You and Trey split a slice of cake.

Once you leave and are back in Heartslaybul, Trey directs you to your room and gives you a box of chocolates and a bouquet of flowers.

Trey does very well in the romance department. He always makes sure that you're happy and that you feel comfortable in any given situation. Very good boyfriend.

You were in the Savanaclaw lounge when Ruggie popped up behind you, collapsing next to you on the couch.

"Happy birthday, shishishi!" He said, placing a flower crown on your head.

"Awwww, thanks!"

*Leona from across the room* "Could you tone down all the lovey-dovey crap? I'm trying to sleep." *proceeds to leave the room looking grumpy*

Ruggie took you on a picnic since he didn't have a whole lot of spare cash to take you to anywhere fancy. You were okay with it, though, since you understood his situation.

You guys spent the picnic picking flowers and making flower crowns and bracelets. Most of the time was spent goofing off, though you wound up laying sprawled out on the grass for the rest of the time, looking up at the sky and just relaxing.

You had a sleepover in Ruggie's room and had a pillow fight (he was not afraid to fight dirty, sometimes tripping you on purpose, then smacking you with a pillow).

Ruggie gladly spent the entire day with you, and you were kind if glad that there wasn't anything fancy since you weren't really one to celebrate your birthday anyway. It just felt like a normal day.

You were sitting at a table in the Mostro Lounge, and Jade seemed to appear next to you.

"Hello, Y/N. Happy birthday~" He hands you your favorite drink with extra whipped cream.

"Ooooo! Thanks, Jade! How much?"

"It's on the house."

"... Azul allowed that?"

"I'm very convincing."

You get everything from the menu free for the day. Azul is miffed, but whatever Jade did to convince him seemed to be working. You were curious about what Jade had done to manage this feat, but you didn't question it.

You spent most of the day at the Mostro Lounge sitting in the corner since Jade was still required to work. You did notice that Jade would occasionally come and sit down with you to chat for a few minutes before being called back.

When the lounge closed, you helped the twins wipe down tables and did the dishes with the rest of the staff.

Jade invited you to stay the night in his room, which you accepted. You both stayed up late watching movies and cuddling on Jade's bed.

A tap on your shoulder made you turn around. Jamil handed you a golden snake bracelet that wrapped around your wrist.

"Happy birthday."

"Oh, thank you. How did—"

"Just accept the gift."

"Okay."

You spend most of the day following Jamil around while simultaneously hanging out with Kalim. Since you're Jamil's s/o, you're basically Kalim's friend by default.

Jamil is totally in love you. This was proved when you managed to convince Kalim not to throw an off the scale giant party to celebrate you two getting together. Not even Jamil had been able to convince him not to. After this incident, Jamil was pretty much planning the wedding.

Jamil doesn't like to burden you with chores that often, but since you see that he's obviously swamped with stuff to do, you help him out. Even on your birthday (which he insisted that you wouldn't be doing anything), you wound up washing dishes and doing other chores.

Only when it was around 10-11 pm were you two finally able to rest. While Jamil was pretty used to all the work, you hadn't really gotten used to the huge workload. You'd started helping him out once you two had met since you felt bad.

You and Jamil spent the night cuddling (if you're shorter or the same height, he'd spoon you, vice versa if you're taller). He doesn't mind being spooned if the latter is the case, he finds it oddly comfortable.

You jumped a mile when you felt a hand rest on your shoulder. You spun around and relaxed once you saw Rook standing behind you with a large bouquet of flowers.

"Jesus— you nearly gave me a heart attack! And... what are those for?"

"They're a gift from me to you. Happy birthday, mon amour!"

"Wait, how do you know it's my birthday?"

"I have my secrets~"

Okay, so your birthday starts off weirdly. That's just Rook being Rook. He spends pretty much the whole day with you.

He takes you out to a fancy restaurant and orders some outrageously overpriced cake for dessert, making a quiet toast in French, which you can't understand whatsoever.

After that, you guys spend the afternoon doing each other's makeup and practicing different hairstyles. You are admittedly much worse than him, and he ends up teaching you a lot about the ways of skincare, proper ways to apply makeup, and what perfumes to use on which occasion.

It was, to say the least, an... enlightening experience, though you probably would never use ¼ of what he had taught you.

You wound up asking Rook how Vil had allowed you both to take the day off of lessons and other school stuff. Rook said he had simply asked for you both to take the day off, and Vil had agreed, telling everyone you had both gotten food poisoning from something you'd both eaten.

You found this very out of character for Vil and asked if Rook had blackmailed him. Yeah, pretty much the only answer you got was a smile, so interpret that how you will.

You fell backward, close to having a heart attack, when Lilia appeared upside down in front of you, seemingly appearing from thin air. Honestly, that also could have been the case.

"Y/N-chan~ Happy birthday! I got you a little something!" He said in a sing-song tone.

"EH— LILIA?!"

He kisses you on the nose, then on the lips. You are extremely glad the corridor was empty.

He asked what you were planning to do since it was your birthday, and when you revealed that you didn't have any plans, he suggested that you two go somewhere (after classes, of course).

He takes you to a secluded area of the forest with a little clearing. He entertains you with magic lights and creating butterflies.

When you return to Diasomnia, Silver asks if Lilia will spar with him, so Lilia takes the opportunity to ask if you want to learn how to use a sword. You accept, so now you know the basics of wielding a sword (after 5 hours of hell).

Sebek and Malleus surprise you with a homemade cake, probably to save you from the horror of tasting Lilia's baking. Cake and a shit ton of birthday gifts after 5 hours of hellish sword training. Needless to say, your afternoon/evening was interesting.

(sorry this is a side blog, dumblr only lets your reply to posts from your main)

anyway, another long infodump ahead (i get possitive responses from my followers when i do this so i will not apologise)

yeah, the room to the left in the quester's rest populates with player's you've tagged (talk to erinn, ask to canvass for guests) up to 6.

once you reach your 7th guest, the barrier is removed from the stairs to access the first floor (second floor for y'all americans) and erinn will explain she had to open it up to make room for more guests. on that floor, you'll find a door and more stairs barred off. the area will populate with another 6 guests.

at your 13th guest, well, first you'll find the whole interior of the quester's rest has been upgraded. but also erinn will have unbarred the door upstairs to make room for another 6 guests.

at your 19th guest, erinn will unbar the stairs to the second floor (third floor). there's another barred door there.

with your 25th guest, the quester's rest interior will upgrade againthe door on the top floor will open and you'll see you finally have room for the whole 30 guests.

if you have more than 30 guests, they start replacing the oldest ones but you can show guests to the royal suit so they never leave (ask erinn to view the guestbook).

when you reach the max capacity of 30, you'll get access to the basement. there's a fountain down there that spawns items, some of the items you find may differ from other players due to a hidden fountain group value in your save file. there are 4 spots where items spawn but a new spot gets added for every 100 players you tag up to 10 additional spots (14 total) at 1000 players. there's also accolades for tagging certain numbers of players up to 1000.

if you ever connected to wifi (ps while ds wifi was discontinued in 2014, there are fan replacement servers you can connect to, ask me about them for more info. otherwise, you can hack this stuff in with the save editor), you probably have the special inn guests from previous games who's rooms you can access from the elevator operator who takes you to the royal suites. they all have 3-5 pieces of gear to give you to dress up as them. they will all have one to give you the first time you talk to them, one to give you on your birthday (birthday in ingame profile settings matches date on your ds), and one to give you when the in is fully expanded. (they may also have one they give you if you talk to them as a certain vocation and/or one after a certain quest. they will also give you birthday cakes and/or party poppers on your birthday, these could only otherwise be obtained from the dqvc - the fan servers do NOT operate dqvc themes that had them. and 1 birthday cake is required for an extra quest so don't go using those up. one extra quest requires dressing as borya; borya will only give you his shoes when the inn is fully expanded. i bought borya's shoes from the dqvc in 2014 instead, the fan servers do NOT run the theme with those either. if you're fine with using a save editor you can hack all this stuff in instead if you want).

in tag mode you can also share a copy of any treasure maps. you can't tag the same player, every save has a uuid (universal unique identifier) so your save will know if it's the same player. but if they've left your inn (either bc you've got more than 30 and they were kicked out, or you manually kicked them from the guest book), you can tag them again. it WON'T count as an additional guest but you can share another map this way.

deleting a save file will delete the uuid so you can reset the save file on another copy over and over, playing through the first 2 hours of the game to reach the quester's rest, then tagging your main copy. this is what i've been doing, it's slow but i'd prefer to avoid hacking my original copy if possible.

EDIT: almost totally forgot i was gonna add a video. if you'd like to see what the inn expansions look like, here's a video. looks like the uploader is enhancing the graphics in an emulator. they also have no actualy guests in the rooms so they probably just unlocked them with the save editor

Infodumping/venting about the lack of Mashle fanfics on most fanfic platforms

WARNING: This isn't a vent. This is a mashle fanfic idea dumpster fire with MANGA SPOILERS.

I'm so heartbroken discovering that there is barely any mashle x oc content out there even x readers or character x character. I have so many tiny plot point ideas for a Rayne/Rain x fem oc/reader. Which resulted in me beginning to write my own oc, Darren Randel. Her name's stolen from my random ass mha oc Darren Halston. Darren Randel is lowkey different (she's less edgy/and emotionally unstable) even though they both have brown hair.

What was the original plot idea you may ask?

Infamous girl from rival school transfers to Easton Magic Academy because she fell in love with Rayne Ames lol.

Lowkey unoriginal right?

So then I added an extra spin to it borrowing a key romance drama plot point from See You in My 19th Life: Darren only gets 3 chances to confess and have her feelings be reciprocated by Rayne, and if he rejects her feelings. She'll give up (on that romance).

The ending of the fanfic is bittersweet: She doesn't get Rayne. But they stay close friends.

OH BUT HERE'S WHAT I'M TRYNA FIGURE OUT TO ADD MORE OF THAT BITTERSWEET FEEL TO IT:

1. Darren confused her initial crush on Rayne to be love at first sight/romantic feelings when she actually felt like she had a friend/that sense of trust in him compared to others.

1a. As a result of that she kind of decides to nullify all her chances of getting him.

1b. Regardless of this plot point she still ends up developing actual romantic attraction for Rayne and still doesn't get her feelings reciprocated.

2. It turns out that Rayne ALSO developed feelings for Darren over the course of the fic but he still rejects her advances due to either:

a. Her newfound realisation that she confused her feelings of attraction for something like companionship or trust. (1a)

b. His new position and role as Divine Visionary and the fear that she would be in more danger than she already was. (For context: her former school Walkis has so much beef with her existence for the 4 ish years she was there that they want her erased from existence and the Bureau of Magic is extremely alert about her whereabouts due to that and her skills which will be explained in the OC Profile section below).

c. Typical fears of a dude who for most of his life before Easton was seen as a nuisance alongside his younger brother Finn. (Big headcanon.) Doubt he cares/he probably would shove in the aristocrats face if he was dating her honestly (fake dating plot point???)

The main line that is shown juts out just under her cheek from her forehead while the other one only juts out slightly from the side of her eye. She’s more of a sports person than a bookworm. When she manifests her third line, it appears across and under her eyes. She switches between 3 types of bottoms. Pants, Long skirt, shorter skirt of which she wears jogging leggings underneath but they’re all dark blue you know.

Skills/Abilities:

General Magic: Offensive Magic - Due to the competitive environment of Walkis, she has a general grasp on nearly all learnable offensive magic spells. Being able to cast them with ease compared to more typical and unlethal spells. Her speed at casting these spells were unmatched during her time in middle school.

Personal Magic: Impart - Darren’s magic essentially allows her to balance out either magical power, strength, and weaknesses between her targets (living and non living) or with herself. It’s essentially cheating at life. The magic is highly confusing due to the fact that she doesn’t have to chant the words to the magic and its essentially treated as a debuffing magic (which is wrong because she aims to fight everyone on fair terms).

Impart Zero - It dispels a spell.

Impart Seconth: Impartial Vice - Instead of deducting and balancing their power, like a water dam. Water is added to balance both sides.

Summon: Themis (Goddess of Justice) - When summoned, the user’s wand transforms into a dull sword whilst Themis appears with blindfold with a scale in hand

Themis Inclination - Themis appears and buffs her attacks’ range but she rarely utilises this due to how lackluster it was against Rayne (ineffective) and other people

Impart Thirds: Divine Mercy - It’s essentially renders its' target a painless death. It's an instant kill move.

Impart Thirds: Divine Tears - Unlike Divine Mercy, this one's pure torture. (To be developed later) (Tears of Themis reference?)

Wandless Casting: Her aptitude to cast magic without a wand has earned her infamy and wanted death since she enrolled into Walkis in middle school. It has also made her wanted by a few subdivisions of the Bureau of Magic, namely Magic Talent and Magic Research Administration.

Immense Speed: Exactly what running at 4am, and doing marathons before starting class does.

Immense Endurance: Due to the fact she does running as a hobby, her stamina/endurance in terms of speed/running is more than decent. She can withstand advanced offensive spells typically used by the police.

Equipment:

Basic Wand - She prefers to not wield a wand though finding it too rudimentary for her purposes, hence many assume she cannot unleash her secondth and thirds magic (to which she has). It stays in her cloak mostly.

Infinite Storage Fabric - Lining her uniform’s robe it has the ability to store anything it can consume within its’ own subspace. She stores majority of her items in it. Even though it’s mass doesn’t change due to how many things there are, it still is a heavy fabric. It will help fish out whatever the user who is currently wearing the cloak wants to have.

Resistance bands - She carries it around to do some exercise. Especially when she’s in the kitchen

Thick Rope - She carries this around as well but its to apprehend anyone she sees.

Photo album of Rayne Ames - She carries this with her at all times alongside a self printing camera. Don't worry, she gets permission to take the pictures.

Family/History:

The Randel Family while not aristocrats or anything, take pride in their magic aptitude which is a recent cut above the rest. Born as a two-liner magic user, she was put on a pedestal with unwanted attention, which is why she has a hime cut to hide her other mark. Her parents treat her like a trophy child and place their expectations on her.

She’s an only child but has an extensive selection of uncles and aunts 5 each. But she prefers her grandma over everyone else.

She had a tendency to break her wands while practising magic as a kid. Due to this her family/parents decided to just stop supplying wands (cuz it was costly) which resulted in her adapting the way she casted magic spells without the use of a wand. During her entrance exam into Walkis, she was ridiculed for not having a wand and got into trouble while getting the highest score of her batch in terms of magic.

I was tempted to add a Modern Magic/unmagic AU of this as well based on the anime endings which I find to be completely confusing even though they're fun. (SERIOUSLY, HOW IN THE WORLD DO RAYNE AND FINN HAVE FANCY OLD CARS THOSE ARE EXPENSIVE TO MAINTAIN WHEN THEY'RE CANONICALLY ORPHANS UNLESS DIVINE VISIONARY IN MODERN AU IS A SUPER RICH POSITION-)

i am on my knees begging for more info about the kieran-jeremy beef...

oh boy, i used to dream of asks like these.

so a lot of it just me reading into things (bc i think a basically harmless beef btwn 2 costars who did good work together is fun and spicy lol) but most of it stems from the original, infamous new yorker profile of jeremy. of the cast's remarks, most people read kieran and brian's as being the harshest. brian ofc had doubled-down on his issues with jeremy's method since then (see the "method acting masterclass" bit from fallon), in a way that is kinda extra and cringe imo. the kieran-jeremy beef is more subtle and unspoken and therefore classier (and kieran is sexy and funny so he can do whatever he wants).

some of kieran's remarks in the new yorker profile i think have been a bit misinterpreted. for instance, he was quoted saying that jeremy's method "doesn't work" for him, which is kinda ambiguous. is he saying that jeremy's approach to acting inhibits his own ability to work OR is he saying that jeremy's method wouldn't work for him personally if he were to try it. i lean toward the latter. the worse parts of the article imo were just cringe-fodder, such as kieran and jeremy's disagreement about whether the show is a comedy, and kieran speculating that jeremy prepares improvisations for set, and he repeated one such "improvisation" ("rooting-tooting good time for all the family!" which made it into the climactic scene in austerlitz) in so many takes in a row that it began to grate on other cast members, until sarah snook snapped at him in character and said "SHUT. UP. KENDALL." kieran sharing this anecdote definitely is NOT flattering to jeremy. i can see how from another actor's pov, when you're encouraged to improv on set, and how vulnerable and intimidating that can be (kieran struggled with improv at first but grew to excel at it!), it could break the trust on set to have one actor not playing by the same rules.

in a later profile of kieran (i wanna say GQ but i'm not gonna cite sources sowwee), he was asked to reflect on the jeremy profile and his remarks that caused a lot of buzz. his response was cordial but he basically just quickly shut it down and the journalist editorialized that "maybe he's learned to keep things to himself." which i think may be the case!

ever since then, i've just noticed the many times when kieran has conspicuously failed to mention jeremy. in a pre-s4 profile, there was an account of their last day of filming, which was the scene between the 3 siblings in the kitchen in barbados. after they wrapped, kieran made a speech and apparently profusely thanked and poured love onto sarah snook (as he should!). it was not stated whether or not he addressed jeremy, his other scene partner for this last scene. he might have, but it was not confirmed one way or another. and then there's just his many acceptance speeches (the emmys being the most recent) where he names other lead cast members but does not mention jeremy at all, even when they have been nominated in the same category (a bit strange, i'll admit!).

so in conclusion this is just me speculating for fun. it's not a big deal, i don't think either is in the wrong or a bad person or anything. it's a personality mismatch but they were still able to do amazing work together (kendall/roman scene in the finale is sooo cwazy). it's just kinda funny when a lot of popular tv shows are very invested in the "we're all a family and love each other" image for their cast/crew, to see a show that's very well made but has some obvious interpersonal tension. reminds you that interpersonal conflict is not bad and evil which is something i think a lot of people forget, lol.

EDIT BC I FORGOT: sometime during s4 there was an interview where it came out that roman's rant at the end of s3's episode "too much birthday" was at one point cut from an early draft of the script and kieran fought to have it added back in, and he stated that it was his favorite roman scene. he also stated that jeremy disagreed with the scene being in the episode. which is just a funny thing for him to add. like, yeah jeremy didn't want the scene in the show.. but daddy jesse agreed with me 😁
