To any followers in more recent years, you may not know that this blog was once ran by an actual person. That’s me! In all honesty, I haven’t read very many iwaoi fics recently. I started this blog when I was in high school, and I’ve since graduated college and gotten a real adult job LOL. The good thing is, I’m no less of an iwaoi/haikyuu fan than I was back in high school, but the fandom has changed a lot. If you didn’t already know, haikyuu ended. I’m really content with the ending and where all the characters (ESPECIALLY IWAOI) ended up. It feels right for them, so I haven’t really felt the need to keep reading fics when I love the canon so much. That’s not to say I don’t like indulging in AUs and stuff, but like to get more back into iwaoi fics now.

I moved onto Twitter years ago and haven’t really looked back, however, with some recent changes, I’m going to try to use tumblr more. I’m going to start reading more iwaoi when I have time. Not much will change on this blog, you might just see some actual human posts once in a while. Because I haven’t been keeping up as much, I don’t feel like I can recommend many good iwaoi fics as of recent, so I’ll hold off on that.

That’s all I have to say, my fellow iwaoi-ists. Let’s keep reading and supporting iwaoi writers and artists!🤜🏼🤛🏼

Hmm well, it would certainly be not Maya and Gilbert since they have done cruel things in the human world. I would say it's the OCs I made for my Haikyuu fanfics (so yeah a different fandom)

19. Which one of your muses would you describe as “morally corrupt”?

Now this is where Gilbert and Maya come into the picture haha. Both of them are so morally corrupt bcos although they abide by the rules of the human world, they still follow Karlheinz's order (restore balance between demon world beings and mortals). And yes, there are many times these two would kill humans just to clean up evidence. It would not make sense to the human world, but it will to the demon world.

20. Which muse has had the biggest change in personality or drastic turns in character development? 

Maya definitely. Like she was a human, then an incomplete vampire, then finally a full-fledged vampire. Ofc she is impure but still has more power than the Mukamis bcos of Gilbert Feinze.

Her vampire transformation is one of the most painful things that occurred to her since she went through a lot of pain and restraint to control her vampire instincts. Though overall she overcame them and got to learn her powers in the dream world over time.

karasuno embodies the Air Nation due to their versatility in playing their games. agility stands out as one of their main strengths, which aligns perfectly with the characteristics of the Air Nation. i believe Hinata shares similarities with Aang, as both use quick attacks and serve as symbols of hope for their respective teams.

⸙ NEKOMA: ❝EARTH IS THE ELEMENT OF SUBSTANCE❞

nekoma represents the Earth Kingdom due to their defensive playing style and resilience. the team excels in quick defense and demonstrates considerable endurance against their opponents. like Toph, they maintain their confidence and stance regardless of the challenges thrown at them.

🌊 AOBA JOHSAI: ❝WATER IS THE ELEMENT OF CHANGE❞

aoba johsai embodies the Water Tribe by adeptly adapting their skills to any playing style, turning it to their advantage. the team showcases creativity in employing both offensive and defensive attacks, excelling in teamwork. Oikawa and Katara share similarities in their unwavering determination to not give up hope for their teams, demonstrating strong leadership skills.

He was exceptionally irritated that day and wanted nothing to do with anybody, even you.

Unfortunately, you didn't notice his attitude, you were too excited to see him first thing.

His headphones were on, so he didn't notice you calling out to him, no matter how often you did.

That's when you decided to play a little prank and take his headphones off, and keep them from him.

Only, it didn't end so well.

Right as you grab the headphones, ripping them off his head, Tsukishima - with gritted teeth - took them back and growled, "god why are you so fucking annoying all the time?"

You were instnatly pulled back into your childhood of your mother saying those exact words to you, everyday of you young life.

Instantly, tears started to flow, and Tsukishima was surprised at you, and himself.

"No, I'm- it-"

He didn't know how to properly apologize, never been in this situation before.

So, if words couldn't come out, he decided actions will do.

He hugged tightly, and stroked the top of your head. Once you had settled down, he muttered into your hair, "I'm sorry, I didn't mean it, I'm sorry."

He didn't excuse himself, but he did apologize profusely, and for that, you were gratefu.

Oikawa --

He was talking to other girls again. and you knew he was just a natural flirt, and that the conversations never evolve into anything, since he was dating you.

But you couldn't help but be jealous, the tainted feeling clawing up your throat, making you want to scream. He was too close to her, she was touching him too much.

You couldn't handle it anymore, and walked up to the both of them, stealing him away from the stranger.

"What the hell you are you doing?!" he yelled, slapping your hand away from his. You experience you anger, and he scoffs.

"You always do this, you always flirt with other--"

"Would you stop being a jealous bitch for two seconds!" he yelled, but instantly regretting it.

You were shaking from head to toe, tears building up in your eyes as you stared him down, memories of your past flashing your mind.

Memories Oikawa knew of, which made it all the more horrible.

Oikawa sighed, raking his hand through his hair, knowing he fucked up bad.

"I am sorry," he muttered. "You're right, I should reel it in some. And I shouldn't have said that to you. I'm sorry."

You sat down next to him, taking his hand in yours, sniffling. "Jackass."

"I deserve that."

Kenma--

He wasn't giving you any attention, at all, since a new game came out.

You gave him three days. Three freaking days too binge this new game of his, and yet, there he was. In his room, in the dark, still playing it.

You turned on the lights, and confronted him. "Kenma, come on, you've been cooped up in here for almost a week. Let's go out."

He didn't budge, making you more angry, so you stood in front of him.

"Get out of the way!"

"No, not until you put that away and talk to me!"

Kenma tried to look around you, but ultimately he couldn't see, and so his character died. Kenma slumped in his bed from the shock before getting inexplicably angry at you.

"Look at what you did!" he exclaimed, face red.

"It' just a game--"

"A game I have been working for hours! And you made me lose!" Kenma raised his hand, intent on hitting you, though his mind wasn't keeping up with his actions.

That is, until he saw you flinch harshly, keeping your face covered by your arms. Kenma stopped himself, shocked at how easily it was for you to get into that defensive position, and slowly lowered his hand as he set down the controller.

He walked past you, and turned off his console.

Taking you by the hand he muttered, "Let's go get some ice cream or something."

You nodded, threading your fingers with his, accepting his roundabout apology.

He settles back into the overstuffed office chair to wait. All that shuffling on the other end of the line means only one thing. Hiro’s rummaging. Which is fine. Hiro’s allowed to rummage all night and all day as long as he stays cute and wears those weird cut off pajama pants he likes. However, he knows. Hiro’s rummaging won’t net him what he’s looking for. And closed mouths don’t get fed.

“Iiiissei.”

He loves it. He does. This low, coquettish rumble rolling through the receiver is his all time favorite and everyone knows it. It has been for a long time. 

“Dearest.”

Lilting just right, endearing and enticing, he’d lean right into it if he wasn’t in the middle of a meeting. Oikawa’s first and second lieutenant mill about the room while they wait for the guest of honor to actually appear. They’ve talked about everything they possibly could without the presence of the family head being necessary and now they wait. Yahaba persistently avoids looking out the wall of windows behind him, playing what Issei can only assume is the most elaborate game of footsies with the meeting room table he’s ever laid eyes on. Or at least not since that time he discovered some accounts had been coming up short .

Next to him Iwaizumi is halfway through his pack Super Lights thumping the heavy heel of a patent leather oxford on to the floor with a little more force than necessary. He slides the ashtray away from the edge of the table and back under the cigarette ashes falling from Iwaizumi’s half forgotten cigarette. Thankfully the scowl on Iwaizumi’s face eases a bit as he nods his thanks. He settles back into the overstuffed office chair to wait. “Darling.” Takahiro puts all the sweet and sugar behind it that he can. Smoky and delicate all at once and chock full of that theatre class he took back in their first year. He can’t hold back the fond grin.

“Mhm.” The chair creaks as he leans back into the uncomfortably straight backrest. It might not be the best time, but you’ve got to find joy in the little things. He likes to think that even sweet, little Iwa-chan is getting a kick out of him grinning like an idiot in the middle of what’s supposed to be an admin meeting.

“Where’s the credit card?” 

Oh yes. 

“Aren’t you supposed to call me daddy first?”

“Oh, Issei, I’ll call you whatever you want if you buy me some Balmain.” Footsteps thud entirely too loudly through the receiver. Another door opens and Issei already knows where he is. Papers shuffle slowly like they’re being carefully put back in place.

“I’m not that mean.”

“Oh?” another rustle of paper “Then we’re going to Ginza tonight?”

“What’s in Ginza?” Issei taps his loafer against the support in the middle of the table. Clean black, Hermes. The first thing Hanamaki had ever bought him .

“My Balmain. And maybe some Dior if you’re feelin’ a little frisky.” Takahiro smoothes through the phone.

Of course. His tongue flickers out, wetting his lower lip “And if I’m not.”

He can almost hear the smirk through the phone. The half-lidded flirty bat of eyelashes. Silly and undeniably gorgeous. “I can wait.”

Heat crawls up his neck. The boss still isn’t here and he supposes (hopes) he has a few more minutes to spare.

“I’ll take you.”

“Knew you’d see things my way."

"Gotta stay on the winning team."

"The winning team gets a prize if they play their cards right." He whispers before shifting gears, "It’s in and out I swear. There’s this full pleat outfit I want. And an off the shoulder suit. Real rich bitch looks.”

“ If it helps, Oikawa was also offended she even asked.” Iwaizumi coughs harshly. Issei chuckles while he watches him cover up his smirk.

“But your PA?! She should have just called me your little friend and killed me on sight.” Hanamaki huffs, fabric shuffles on the other end of the line and finally he hears the click of the door to his study. “That can never happen again”

Matsukawa hums, listening to Takahiro breathe softly over the line. They hoover, Hiro slams a cabinet door shut and the humming of the fridge comes through muffled, but there.

“So how's the meeting going?” 

The meeting. It’s been some years and he still doesn’t say what's on his mind. He turns to Iwaizumi as he fishes out another light. “Iwa.” 

Iwaizumi’s scowl doesn’t smooth out this time and, in his defense, the meeting started 30 minutes ago. It’s only natural to be worried.

“Blow Makki a kiss, I think he’s a little lonely.”

Week #1 of Haikyuu Book Club

The very first week of this event has started!! Starting today, we will be reading 5 chapters a week, starting with 293-297 this week.
