[Once they arrived at the park, Dulce and Antonio changed into a fresh pair of clothes. Running around in skintight costumes all night was NOT comfortable! They wouldn’t recommend it.]

[They also took this time to catch their breath. The crisp air felt rejuvenating while they embraced the comfortable silence, taking in the crazy night they had. What an insane idea. But they did it. Together.]

[After a few minutes, Dulce cleared her throat.]

DULCE: ..Antonio. I want to say I appreciate you for doing this with me. I know it was ridiculous. You’ve already helped me a lot, and I can’t thank you enough for it.

[Antonio shifted with discomfort.]

ANTONIO: Don’t thank me just yet. We haven’t won the case.

DULCE: Many things could’ve gone wrong, though.

ANTONIO: Technically they did... but we got through them, right? And we got the notebook.

DULCE: We did!!

[Dulce took out her notebook and flipped through the pages in awe.]

DULCE: I wish I could see the look on Caruso’s face once he realizes the notebook is gone.

[The “security”, Caruso, and Isabela should be able to put two and two together. Dulce and Antonio knew that. However, Caruso and Isabela had no proof. The Operation Fox team covered their tracks, and Matthew was able to erase any surveillance camera footage once the power came back on.]

[She looked up at Antonio with a soft smile.]

ANTONIO: I’ll guard that notebook with my life when I take it for the ink dating in the morning.

DULCE: I almost didn’t take it when I was in his room because I felt bad... We’re kind of the same.

ANTONIO: What do you mean?

DULCE: Maybe his video about me was some weird karmic stuff for the Alto exposé video I made. Maybe Caruso is just me as a man and I deserve what I got.

ANTONIO: You’re mistaken. You’re a lot smarter than Caruso. In your video, you didn’t give any names and you were very vague. Quite impressive if you ask me. How old were you? About 16? 17?

DULCE: Around there.

ANTONIO: Second of all, you have more love in your heart. It’s that simple.

ANTONIO: Alright. Picture this: Alfonso Alto watches your video. He laughs but is secretly freaking out. What if people start suspecting his shady business? He contacts his legal team to try to stop you.

ANTONIO: They rewatch your video repeatedly in an attempt to find something to sue you for—which, by the way, only adds onto your view count—but, they have nothing. Absolutely nothing. He’s furious to have been outsmarted by a teen girl. Things lead to another and he’s in prison all because of one video.

[Dulce nodded. Antonio would know from experience.]

DULCE: Hm, yeah.

ANTONIO: Think about all the lives you probably saved too. Caruso can’t live up to that. That’s probably why he’s so vengeful.

DULCE: ..Speaking of which, what about you and Isabela? Is she a vengeful ex-girlfriend of yours?

[Antonio waved his hand in dismissal.]

ANTONIO: Absolutely not.

ANTONIO: Actually, she hates me because I turned her down.

DULCE: What??

ANTONIO: We used work closely as interns at the same firm. We had to. Along the way, she somehow developed feelings for me. When she asked me out, I declined. I explained to her that I’m dedicated to my work. I don’t have time or energy for love.

[Dulce’s heart dropped.]

ANTONIO: I thought she took it well. Then, she started screwing me over in subtle ways. She would provide me with incorrect deadlines or “forget” to tell me about important calls.

ANTONIO: I couldn’t say anything. Isabela was untouchable because her uncle was a senior attorney at the firm. When my internship ended and I looked for jobs, many places rejected me because I received a bad reputation.

DULCE: I’m sorry that happened to you. Isabela’s a witch for doing that.

ANTONIO: It all worked out. I’m fortunate that the firm I work at now took a chance on me. I get to do what I love. And that place has allowed me to meet some incredible people.

DULCE: ..Sometimes I think about possible alternate timelines. “What if I didn’t do that?” or “What if I had done this instead?” ..Maybe I would be in a more fortunate situation.. but maybe I wouldn’t have experienced the good things in this timeline.

ANTONIO: Like what?

[The two looked up at the starry night.]

DULCE: Like adopting Cosi! Caruso was the one who insisted we get a dog on that day, actually. Maybe someone else would’ve taken her.

DULCE: Okay, your turn to name something.

ANTONIO: Hm..... One time I broke my leg. If I didn’t have all that spare time to watch movies, maybe I wouldn’t have found out I like Star Wars. Your turn.

DULCE: I got lost in the city once. If I didn’t make a wrong turn, I wouldn’t have run into the person selling the refurbished iMac G3. I love it! Your turn.

[Suddenly, the two of them turned to face each other at the same time. They hadn’t realize the closing distance between them.]

ANTONIO: I..

DULCE: I think we should leave. Isabela and Caruso could be out looking for us right now.

ANTONIO: Yeah, and it’s getting late.

DULCE: Mhm.

ANTONIO: C’mon. Let’s get you home.

Let me start by saying I didn't have a set dr in mind when I shifted. I absolutely hate scripting. Cannot sit through it. I go where the wind takes me lol. So keeping this in mind, I go to a lot of unscripted dr's - random places. Random times.

Now that I've got that out of the way, let's begin.

ֺ ۪ The students all lived in dorms. These dorms spanned on for a while, as it was suited for the entire school rather than just the hero course. You could choose to live in them - or not. This takes place after the war, so living in dorms was no longer mandatory.

ֺ ۪ Students were chatting in the common area. I shared a dorm (Yes, joint dorms) with a gen ed student who very much did .. not like me. I will not blame them tbh, they had their reasons. But that is for another storytime.

ֺ ۪ The campus was huge, not even exaggerating. The school was not only tall, but wider. It looked intimidating, tbh. I'm not too sure on how the schedules worked now since my memory is off, but I know by the time I got there it was about time to go to class 2-A.

ֺ ۪ I was actually so embarrassing. I was walking through the halls and saw Bakugou with a student. Foolishly, I waved my arms around and drew attention to myself while I called for him and said hey.

ֺ ۪ He was not a fan, and continued to actively ignore me while he continued to talk to this student - who will be mentioned later.

ֺ ۪ When we got to the ,, wtf are they called?? Training Fields?? Anyways when we got to our little activity - Aizawa explained that someone would be joining us and using a classmate of his to use his quirk on! The rules were that the chosen person wasn't allowed to use their quirk while chosen - having to rely on what they were given - and everyone else had to find a way to immobilize the chosen one. Simple enough!

ֺ ۪ QUIRK : TITAN ... This user has the ability to shift between a 'titan' form, sort of similar to Mt. Lady and her gigantification. Of course, they could turn others into a titan as well. Drawbacks are that this quirk can be pretty hard to use - you can unintentionally hurt people, and cause a lot of property damage. Adding onto this for later that this worked very similarly to the Titan power from AOT, if it wasn't blaringly obvious enough. To disable someone's titan form, you have to slice a chunk from their neck or somehow free them from the back of the neck area. Due to the titan form being more of a puppet than them, they don't get any physical injuries on their real body. Oh, and about the student - he really hates the hero course. Of course, this may be because he didn't get in.

ֺ ۪ ...Did I say simple? Yeah, anyways.. imagine our horror when he chose Bakugou (putting the pieces together - they plotted this when I ran into them in the hall)

ֺ ۪ We all did our best to immobilize or even just .. get him to stop moving for a second - but he was so HUGE. We didn't wanna get crushed or anything. Also the added fact that no one knew about the neck thing that disables the titan form. Thanks, Aizawa.

ֺ ۪ At this point, people were giving up. Aizawa was watching from a high building, most likely as annoyed as everyone else. People were joining him up there, admitting defeat.. except for Midoriya.

ֺ ۪ Did I mention this is after the events of the manga? Midoriya didn't have a quirk, and here he was - running laps around Bakugou. We (Me, Sato, Sero.. some others) tried to get Shinso to restrain him before he could hurt himself, but Shinso went on to explain to us on what he was doing:

ֺ ۪ He was trying to get Bakugou to trip! It's so hard to explain without visuals, so hopefully words are enough. Bakugou was still trying to get him even so. Midoriya was working with a student from class 2-B as well (did I say this was a joint activity?) Their quirk? cement. I know someone already has that quirk. Don't ask me anything, I'm as confused as you are.

ֺ ۪ The cement student was building a path for Midoriya to run along as he spiraled around Bakugou. At one point, the walls could no longer reach the height he was at. They started to crumble the higher he got.

ֺ ۪ Before you ask where Aizawa was - this all happened very fast.

ֺ ۪ Midoriya tripped off the rocky path. In what I assume was worry, Bakugou reached out to catch him. As he did, the walls around him caused him to fall. They started falling together.

ֺ ۪ Everyone got knocked out from Bakugou's impact. All those who tried to help were covered in rubble, on the floor - hurt.

ֺ ۪ At this point, teacher's and medical assistance had stepped in. Midoriya kept going, crawling from Bakugou's hand to his neck. He tore at it with the last of his strength, and in the end? Won. He got Bakugou out.

ֺ ۪ After that I knocked the hell out. The story time WOULD end here.. but I recently shifted back for closure. Midoriya had gotten in trouble and explained that he saw Bakugou wasn't safe in that state, as he had analyzed this quirk and it often caused others to act reckless, like they couldn't think properly. The student had apparently kept that part of their quirk to themselves. The media also went crazy on the situation because someone snitched about what happened. UA got a lot of backlash. It also wasn't Aizawa's idea. I actually have no clue on who thought of that exercise.

ֺ ۪ That's the end :) my final thoughts are just.. wow. Midoriya reallyh is the worlds greatest hero. He's so smart, kind. Determined and strong even without his quirk. He doesn't let anything stop him. Personally, I always think about this story. Missing him.

am i the only one who's not intersted in "is stolas good or bad father" discoure because in either cases their relationship seem empty and shollow

the only thing we know about them is they spent time togther sometimes they don't. but what is in they exactly do in that time except singing lullabies and going to parks . like sure when you're a parent you are your child's best friend but you're also their mentor teacher ,nurse and thearpy should i assume that stolas is good at all those things just because he play with his daughter when she was young .

also i'm speaking as somoene who is in age similiar to via's age (today is my 18th birthday if sinsmas is octavia birthday eposide that makes me 2 monthes older than her) even tho the teen/father relationship would be diffrent from family to other , most teenager like to distane themselves from their parents and rather to discouver who they are outside their parents wings and not the other way around espacially if they disappoint them. the fact that via is still too dependent on her father makes me think her needs wasn't totally fulfill as child , but again those relationship diffrent from someone to other so i might be wrong .

(also those who call octavia selfish spoiled child to defend stolas don't realize they're calling out stolas becase he raised her like that)

That’s fair enough. All the relationships are pretty shallow. I can tell stolas was very involved in his daughter’s life when she was little but took a step back when she grew older. And Octavia seems as though she could’ve been depressed even before the cheating, which only made everything worse.

I’d like some idea of their daily routine because my goodness. The three of them just hang around the palace doing absolutely nothing. What is stolas job??

As for teacher and mentor? Pfft!!! Yeah he’s supposed to be teaching her magic, but their spellbook is GONE 29 nights out of 30. I think vivzie forgot that this means stolas cant teach her any spells! I realised this after @arteicetb s video on the subject, the only channel I’ve seen that has properly gone into his problems as a parent in my opinion.

I’d like to see just a few scenes of Octavia engaging in her hobbies and talking to her friends. Example: creating some taxidermy and speaking about why she likes preserving the image of life in something that is dead. It is a strange practice but it is a form of art with an interesting philosophy behind it. Demonic zoology is also just a really cool world building concept? Octavia loves the strange dark and macabre according to Instagram but until that’s put in the show it isn’t properly canon. She’s also trying to write her own music.

This is perhaps random but I’d love a scene like this, Stella teaching Octavia how to hold a royal ball, and all the stuffy requirements that come with it.

While Via struggles with the status quo and traditions of things because stolas has raised her to be a normal gen-z child. However he knows this is a temporary lifestyle until she’s 18 and makes her “debutante” ball. Octavia did not know this. Stella knows that stolas has only given her the childhood he wanted, the life of a commoner, which has set her up for failure. Octavia doesn’t even know her parents had an arranged marriage because stolas insisted on lying to her for 18 years for the sake of a “normal life”

Octavia entering adulthood without her father, and reflecting on both the good parts and the bad parts of his parenting, could be a really interesting direction for her. She is none of the things her father’s fans say she is. His fans are only protecting the flaws of their precious little near-40-year-old boy from his teenage daughter.

Her makeup and everything was so old iconic and. Mid to late 2000s and early twenty 10s. She was even on one of these programs where they’re like vogue or somewhere like that. Where they go through like old chronic looks in TV shows or they go through that iconic characters.. I think it was like the the character James McAvoy did one as well he did one talking about him being him shameless and also playing like someone in the UM something like the lion the witch and the wardrobe that kind of thing. But yeah her looks and that have been copied so much right with Jenna generations but it’s more of my generation and she started that show so young that she was like this is what made her Jen free not as good because they didn’t have Fe as like a Cliff note if you will. they had to use other characters to make that connection between it all but.. they did as well as they could on what budget they had in fact they had a really good budget for Gen. 3 but it just didn’t sit as well over the viewers. I like the second season of Gen. 3. especially allow. He makes it good and so does many for her character development but Frankie ruins it and it’s sad because she’s the only skins character that in real life they didn’t give her a verified tick online because she was disliked by so many viewers and she’s on.. April Pearson who played Michelle Richardson in Gen. 1. In the podcast are you Michelle from skins.

.... and how the creator who none of them are that fond of by the sounds of it I guess it was different with the younger lot I don’t know but they said that the sex scenes were really awkward and if you look at it it’s like really weird these people are teenagers are now having to take off their clothes and TV shows when they’re actually of that age I can’t think of anything worse.. well I could but not much worse it would be horrible to like when you’ve got all those feelings as a teenager it’s that age it’s hurtful and maybe you don’t feel good enough about yourself. the FBI was always the lead person’s favorite character I think because she got most of the good parts she got the bad parts obviously but she was popular because she was in all Four Seasons of Gen. 1 and Gen. 2... she was leading on to Jan 2 before taking over tonye space and there’s this thing on TikTok called the Stoneham and EFF ECT.. warehouse the Stoneham siblings really everybody there close to it. With Tony and Effie. but her looks have been iconic up until like now where things of my generation are now vintage because they're really well they're 20 years old a lot of them and that makes something vintage now.. they have a 10 to 20 year cycle 10 years of being popular Max and then ten years of being the opposite where it’s like say 80s compared to 90s clothing... so there’s that in between. Where they’re very similar and then it slowly peaks off and goes into a whole different genre of clothing and music also affects this too I feel like if it became later the series then Effie would have been a Lana Del Rey kind of girl... somebody else said sky fiera I don’t know enough of her music to know if she would be but seeing her hanging around with their banks and some of the pictures that I’ve put on here makes sense.

Why do you care about American politics if you're Canadian? /gen

Note: I know this question was not asked in malice, so don’t take this as me being upset at the person who asked this.

I care about American politics because

1. My girlfriend is American, and they’re a queer person who falls under the trans umbrella in a time where it’s sometimes dangerous to be visibly queer in America. I care deeply for her safety, I care about her ability to pay for school, I care about her health while she lives in a country that basically EXTORTS people who are ill or injured, I care about her right to not have a religion that isn’t her own shoved down her throat and in her face at all hours of the day, I care about our ability to be seen and recognized in a country who’s Supreme Court walked back abortion rights and said they might try and do the same for gay marriage and a HOST of other shit, and I care about her ability to enjoy her fucking life and live as an independent adult in a country that is ridiculously expensive and inhospitable to people young and old just trying to get by.

2. I have friends who live in America. I’ve met some wonderful, truly amazing people through this absolute hellsite, and some of them are American. Now Canada isn’t a complete health paradise by any stretch of the imagination, but the fact that the majority of my American friends can’t get needed mental health interventions when they are really in danger, can’t get necessary cancer screenings so they can not die, and even stuff as simple as regular doctor’s visits even after working two jobs and going to college because they can’t afford it is disgusting.

3. America is a global superpower. America is constantly in the global spotlight, and like it or not, people from other countries absorb what it spews. I have a friend in the fucking Caribbean whose parents and grandparents parrot Trump and Republican talking points. Also, on the topic of being a global superpower, they’re also a global target. If the American president decides to… I don’t know… piss off another world leader who has access to nuclear weapons, my country is going to feel the impact of those bombs too, especially since many of our major cities are close to the border, and I’m sure I’ll be really upset about nuclear winter rolling in once I’m done mourning the deaths of my friends and family in the states because of a war they (innocent citizens) didn’t start :) I also have friends in Europe who are dangerously close to certain other superpowers who may be put in actual real danger if a war starts even if they aren’t directly involved!

4. Oh yeah, on the topic of war, I CARE ABOUT THE SHIT GOING ON IN THE MIDDLE EAST RIGHT NOW???? AMERICA IS FUNDING A GENOCIDE????? AND TRUMP WANTS ISRAEL TO “hurry up and finish the job”???? FUCK NO.

5. I care about global warming and climate change. You guys can see what Hurricane Helene did, right? Climate change fostered an environment that allowed that storm to get so big and so deadly. I also care about how California is like- perpetually on fire???? It shouldn’t be like that, guys.

6. Global trade. American trade policies are going to affect the prices of food, and other goods here in Canada, and I’m a university student with a part time job with some members of my family who can’t work, or who work over 40 hours a week who can barely afford to live right now, let alone after the prices of things get inflated more.

7. People are human beings. American citizens who are going to suffer under another republican presidency are human beings. The people in the Middle East who are dying right now are human beings. My friends and family who are affected by the actions of a country that isn’t even close to them right now are human beings. I can’t just artfully look away and think what my country’s next door neighbour is doing is okay.

Rambling on about my Victorian hood.

My Victorian is my longest hood on my laptop, after my Computer decided to not work, losing a lot of old Hoods.

Jul 2023 is when I started this hood, I never jumped right into building and I’ll post a separate post about the building because recently started building the upper class shopping area.

At the time, I never enjoyed building, only building a handful of the Mines, A church and a Tavern for my sims to just travel to and met new sims. I left it be that and avoided it. I added pound for fishing and scandals and over time added a lower clothes shop, work house / illegal gambling area.

Before this hood, I had made a desert hood, but I lost it, and I did buildings, that I thought would suit a desert theme, don’t know because when I think of a desert town I think no roof.

I don't claim to know anything about Victorian era, But I do love learning History, more on side of Crime and punishment, medieval and all that. I also don't enjoy playing a realistic gameplay style, I do what is entertaining for me and how I see events in my game as.

Red: Finch

Started as working class is now A high Middle to Higher class due to a Ros Rolls and Christopher Finch being being level 7 of the law enforcement career.

Started as a young Couple, Aurelia and Benjamin Finch. They have recently passed away with platinum aspirations.

3 twins and 1 single baby boy. They only had one girl that girl is Chastity, All children passed their roles but Chastity but it's for later in life for her. I got drama brewing.

Their children look different, and I got my Favourites. Marcellus Finch-Miller, Who's had his name Hyphenated because he's in a lavender marriage with his BFF because she was the only woman that tolerate his prank and playfulness and she a Lesbian. She's been off and on with her attraction with her female lover, because she doesn't fully know embrace her sexuality, so her knowing best friend married her. I tell you when I say, he had every woman he met become enemies in minutes. He got into a lot of fights because women attacked him a lot, slap him. I couldn’t find him anyone without him destroying his chances.

He did marry 2 days from ageing up, but I didn't want to play 2 days of his round, to just play 2 days of her round, so I married them at the start of the round to make it easier for me.

His best friend is the only option.

Benjamin as a family sims had 3 aspiration failures due to his wife having children. They 21 grandchildren, Died with Platinum Aspiration.

All of their children have moved out / Married into households. Besides their Eldest son, Christopher Finch. who on right side crossing arms. They all do this face, I call it the Finch face, and all of the finch do it. Is cross their arms and he acts like guard at family gatherings with his hands on hips looking around, while his loves his 2 daughters to the moon and back.

Arms behind his back acting with authority over his brother, He does it so often at gatherings.

The gay first kiss, they never got together. No. I forgot they did this and forgot that when John was a child he used to dance with his best friend. I completely went like, sigh, John. What am I going to do with you. Then they moved up in class and He met someone in uni!

I did have this Frankenstein Story line I wanted to go with him and his lover. But, it's going to take a while, because They just got married, and I holding back because I don't want John to die for a idea. They adopted a Baby.

I’ve decided 2 of the boys aren’t really going have children. Like thinking logically, 20+ grandchildren is enough. Nicholas the youngest isn't getting Remarried, he was pushed into a marriage because got caught Woohooing with a Miller girl, who had found out was pregnant, but it wasn't his. I know who, but it's was like, her panicking of who's baby was it. Nicholas, Roderick or the Mayor.

So Nicholas Raise animals and works, spends time with his two best friends and just relaxes.

Roderick keeps sleeping with his brothers wives and random women. He's not planning on any children, or marriage.

Laurence was never good at school, he had dyslexia and got 0 help for to help him understand things at his own pace, so he, fell behind, he can't really read but he run farm with his wife that been sleeping with not only with his brother but with another married man. Laurence knows nothing about it and is doing his children.

Chastity married into the Montgomery

I was having issues with the church lot, At this point I added More community lots for the Working class and an Apartment. (Seeing them off at the side)

10 sim in a household is always a fun. Family gatherings are common place, always having family over.

Green - Montgomery

They started out as a couple in the Working Class. They owned sheep. To me, They didn’t feel like a couple, they felt like, yeah we married but they were just not interested in each other, low attraction, they really weren't made for each other but they loved each other in way but not in the same way that one would love their partner.

The Mortality rolls, for household is bloodline deep, it became a while part of their story, and I see it as a unknown condition that been viewed as a punishment for the actions of the founders. Only in bloodline of Montgomery, are 2 sims in Gen 3 who are getting full life.

At first it wasn’t war between husband and wife. No. It was war against the military for stealing sheep, and my girl Vivienne doesn’t mess around. She’s taking charge and won’t allow any man steal her sheep. Or allow any man steal anything from her for the matter of fact.

She has a deep hatred for Men and worse military man. Her eldest daughter married to one, when she was rooting for her daughter to marry a lady.

the take away of Vivienne's life, She hates the Military men and Men that aren't her son. She loves her son and grandson. She's Cheated in her life time, but it's with sim that are dead, nobody knew about it.

This is different, as in, this is happening in around her children, in the house, and She's had lost one of her daughters already. She was blaming herself for her daughter's death, Believing she died because she didn't do something right.

The affair partner was always over, constantly, in the home. Her reasoning of why her children were dying, warped from her mistakes, to filled with hatred and anger toward the Military and Her husband. The reason why 2 of her daughters have died is due her husband having an affair, and it's with a co-workers of his. She tried to make things work with him, begged him to stop.

But then that man kept on, Started to annoying me, There was no stopping him from entering the house uninvited and it got to the point where, I wasn't enjoying his existence. His constant entry of the house, to fighting, use piano at night when the children are sleep! He did so much to annoy me, that Vivienne's next course of actions was the will of the storyteller.

He was never meant to die, but he forced my hand and tested my patience of how long I am willing to put up him disrupting this household with the constant visiting, he's be asked to leave and show back up again. He's ever would leave for more than 2 hours, just to come back to do the same thing over and over again. I couldn’t get rid of him. Kicking the bin wasn’t simple enough for him, no. He had to cause problems round after round.

This was Nearing my last straw, he didn't need to be here and attack the family members, like, there was no need for him to even harass this family like he did.

There was a fire that Brought Vivienne and Frederick close.

But he had to go. Vivienne Respected herself to much to keep such a problem around. So She killed him to get extra days onto her life, and (Managed to get maximum elder days) She still Alive and kicking, She's out living some of her grandchildren.

Her two daughters married off, but to hear news of her youngest surviving daughter had died, after giving birth to quads.

It's due to complications after giving birth.

17 Grandchildren (shows 15 but more were born), The surviving daughter lost her youngest and birthed kids. All of her kids got the unknown condition like her brother's kids.

Her eldest son, Damon lost his wife, Chastity from the Finch household, in a duel with Carter Miller.

Why were they duelling? It might be extreme, but their children started fighting each other and Chasity is evil and her mother law is a bit not all there after what life she lived, so between them, ideas bounced and echoed.

This is going to finally introduce the court system into my hood, and I get to build a Police station and I want to play more Active career ish.

Blue - Miller

Started Working class, and I believe they are closing to being lower middle class or are comfortably in the lower middle class. Wife died round 1 from fire. How ever, they were people that Common wasn't their first language, and his First Wife never learned it, So she often found herself alone, and wondering maybe, having a child would help her loneliness. However, She died in a fire. He remarried to a woman that instantly loved his daughter. They are solely criminals.

One child with his first wife, 3 with his second wife.

They criminals and lived normal working class life, raised horses and just normal family.

Arianna fooled around and got pregnant by the mayor, I love him. He has human babies but he’s just so in love with his alien babies that his wife is enjoying not being the one having children.

She got caught fooling around with the youngest finch, Nicholas and end up marrying him. She was also fooling around another finch. She ended up dying from the cold. Her daughter died as well.

Their youngest, Ester, Died from horse accident. They minded their own business for the most part, no issues the children became teens.

A lot of their drama is just one scandal and the duel. they married into the other 2 households, and there isn't much drama they cause on their own.

The wife refused to die by old age and kept begging an extra day. Woman thought after 3 attempts at old age she’d die, but no. So I burned her.

Alright so I’ve finally finished all of Make Your Mark on Netflix (I have no interest in Tell Your Tale) and, well… I certainly have thoughts. Unfortunately I felt MLP G5 (even including A New Generation) was pretty weak. I don't HATE G5 of course, but it certainly has problems. Not counting the ton of continuity errors and plot holes and retcons from G4, most of the episodes + specials on their own I found flat and boring.

And yes I KNOW that G5 deserves to be its own thing and shouldn’t rely 100% on G4’s popularity but come on… a sequel series still needs SOME connection to its predecessor, and G5 has so little of it?? And the worst part is that the super sparse FIM references were for legal reasons, which makes me even wonder why bother setting it in the same universe as G4 instead of just making a complete reboot. And yes I’ve heard that the G5 comics actually go deeper into the lore, but important worldbuilding details should be included in the show proper, not in supplemental materials. 

So yeah, that only inspired me to make even more changes for my MLP next gen AU. Starting with a bunch of different ideas I have for Opaline. More details about my revamped design and backstory for her under the cut

First off, her canon design is way too gaudy and takes away a lot of her intended scare factor, so I redesigned her with multiple variants. For all versions I removed her blue eyeshadow and the braids around her ears (too ridiculous-looking and difficult for me to draw), and made her hair a bit more asymmetrical. 

As for my version of her backstory, rather than Opaline being over a thousand years old and having known Celestia and Luna when they were fillies, I made Opaline a former student of Twilight who became her successor as the next Alicorn Princess. Only Opaline didn't do a great job as a ruler which caused Twilight to drain her of her magic and banish her to the outskirts of Equestria.

But after Twilight died of old age (don't ask me why Twilight didn't find a new successor, still working that out) the magic shield locking Opaline outside Equestria faded and allowed her back in. So she was the one who caused disharmony between ponies all over again (yeah kind of a repeat of the Nightmare Moon situation but), and additionally kidnapped Misty as a filly to use her as a spy and do tasks to help Opaline get her powers back, including her wanting to steal dragon fire to become a fire Alicorn like in canon.

Made this change for two reasons 1) the whole “ancient villain who knew Celestia and Luna back in the day escaped now and is planning to wreak havoc on modern Equestria” has been done a hundred times already in FIM, let a new villain form literally during Twilight’s reign 2) it would keep the rejection aspect of Opaline's canon backstory but give her more personal beef with Twilight which is why Opaline targets her

so my AU wouldn't just have all ponies restore unity and then have Opaline just come as a threat right after like A New Generation + Make Your Mark did. Achieving harmony between pony AND non-pony kind would be done over the course of a series and not just one movie, with Equestria being restored + Misty being freed after Opaline's defeat. The Unity Crystals still play a role in my AU, with Twilight having created them as a new alternative to the Elements of Harmony rather than just a macguffin to stop Opaline specifically.

Also if it were up to me I like my #3 redesign the best, the blue hues would probably fit the best for a fire-based villain (fire being blue when it's hottest and all) but that depends on if/when I wanna draw my AU Opaline in the future

Be mindful, this is all based on my opinion and observation of Li Jing's character in LMK. You aren't meant to take my word to heart, nor do I disapprove of anyone else's ideas or opinions. Relax.

Regarding a mortal s/o: since we don't know much about Li Jing pre-s5 events, I would think he'd find flaw in anything Nezha did, including his choice in partners. In the grand scheme of things, it really wouldn't matter if Nezha's s/o was a mortal. Immortal, demon, mortal, etc, if they were Nezha's partner, Li Jing would always have a complaint.

Now post s5, I would think he'd be more lenient. I think he'd probably be concerned, actually, because if Nezha's s/o is a mortal of all things, things might only end badly, because well. Nezha's an immortal who will never die, and his partner is mortal and prone to die at many moment. At best, he might advise Nezha not to get too attached for his own sake.

If you're asking about my thoughts on Li Jing, then oh boy buckle up because there's a lot.

Also, be mindful; I'm aware creative liberty exists. When you're taking inspiration from myths and legends, you are allowed to do as you wish. Furthermore, I'm aware that Lego Monkie Kid is catered to an audience that are children, despite the active adult audience, hence why it is the way it is. Don't come to argue with me bringing these up as facts, because I'm stating my opinion while being mindful of these reasons.

1) I think he would've worked better as a villain. When the trailer was first released, I really thought he'd be interesting as a villain. From what I've read of FSSY Li Jing, he gives me the idea of a greedy, ambitious man who would go to lengths for power, aka where he had no remorse when Nezha killed himself. Working with Xiangliu wouldn't seem to far off for him, and I could've seen in the end where he's double-crossed and realizes Xiangliu's true intentions.

2) I don't think he acted as an antagonist in the show. When he first showed up, yeah you'd think he was evil, but aside from placing the circlet on Wukong and attempting to imprison them until things had changed, he didn't seem like a bad guy to me. An asshole yeah, but not a bad guy. MK only sees Li Jing as a bad guy because of the circlet, and Mei saw him as a villain because of his attitude and persistence. Aside from that, I don't think he was a villain, which the fans seems keen on thinking for some reason.

Understand this; Wukong in LMK is most notorious through the celestial realm for causing problems. Unlike in JTTW, he does NOT accept the title of a Buddha, which means we have no idea what he could be up to with no rules to stop him. Yes, we the audience know he's mellowed out, but in world, not many do. Wukong also has a habit of acting impulsively and wrecking things, like we see with his confrontation with Nezha in s3. It's not his fault sometimes yeah, but he does act recklessly, and Li Jing does what he thinks is necessary for the world. That doesn't make him a bad guy, and his attitude is him just doing his job.

3) His (and Nezha's) lack of screentime was disappointing. Even though the show revolves around MK and others, I personally think a scene with Li Jing and Nezha alone, maybe in the celestial realm, would've helped give more insight to his character. He appears to stop the group and then fight later on, and that's it, so all we know about him is a guy doing his duty and was an ass to his son and then suddenly changed.

4) I don't like how he's written in regards to his relationship with Nezha. The sudden switch up in the ending was off-putting, and like I said, the lack of screentime made it harder to decipher their relationship. I know that the writers couldn't potray Li Jing to his FSSY counterpart, and I do understand that Li Jing had his own responsibilities, but Jesus I hated that switch up. It didn't have much impact at all, and it didn't really sell the part of a strict but loving father.

I dunno, I felt like it could've had more impact if Nezha and his dad got enough screentime together for the audience to understand what the relationship was. We don't know how they were before season 5, and we have no idea what LMK might've tried to change with Nezha's origin story, so aside from their interactions, we don't know what to think. Do we still apply FSSY to their story, implying that Li Jing was an abusive father to Nezha in his childhood? Or do we assume this version of Li Jing was simply a father who didn't know how to show affection and was always strict?

5) Li Jing should not have been added. I'm dead serious about this; his entire role feels pointless because aside from doing his duty, why the fuck was he here? I dunno about other fans, but reading JTTW and FSSY, Li Jing placing that circlet on Wukong was not very interesting to me. Also, why the hell was he chosen to handle the Jade Emperor's power, and not someone with close relations to that old geezer, like...you know...ERLANG SHEN!? WHY WAS LI JING HERE HE FELT SO USELESS.

There could've been so many other characters who could've fit into the role Li Jing played. I really don't think he had much of an impact because again, the lack of screentime makes it hard to really understand what his motives lied.

I like Li Jing as a character, but idk. I don't think I'm fond of how Li Jing was portrayed in the series.

Just my opinion though. You guys can think as you'd like of him.

People should stop hating on something they haven't seen/didn't give a chance just because it's a reboot.

I wantee to make a post about shows that had a reboot and that were judged too soon, before people even watch it, for a long time, and what is happening with the Winx Reboot motivated me. Beware that it's a long post.

I think a good way to start this would be with Monster High.

Monster High was a show from the 2010s. It had a tv show in 2d and a bunch of movies in 3d. Monster High was popular all around the world, people really liked it, the characters were compelling, the storyline were nice and it's whole concept was based around dolls. (I know there's also books but they're so different that I won't talk about them)

In the middle of the 2010s (I would say 2015-2016) the selling of the dolls weren't as great so they stopped everything. In 2018 they tried launching Monster High Gen 2, with new designs and new dolls, but it didn't work.

In 2022, they launched a new show, that is Monster High Gen 3. It still was a story about a bunch of monsters at a school made for them, and the beloved characters were back.

So what was the problem you would ask? Well, the characters were the same but different. Their essence was still the same (Frankie being a Frankenstein creature, Clawdeen a werewolf, Draculaura a vampire, etc..), but their characterization and stories were differents, and so were the designs. So people started complaining about it online. (This Gen also had live action movies but I won't talk about it, as it's about the tv shows).

But in reality, the show was GOOD. People who were fans of the OG show liked it! The show had a storyline, a direction, it knew what it wanted to explore it, and it did it. There was a real plot about Clawdeen's mom that was talked through the episodes, and progress was made as the episodes were airing.

But some people still decided to hate it without watching it, and it's sad because the show deserves some love!

As for now, Gen 3 isn't renewed for a third season, mainly because it's Nickelodeon and Mattel wants to distance themselves from the company, partially because of the Quiet on Set documentary.

So of you haven't see that show, you should really watch it, because it's totally worth it!

But Monster High is not why I wanted to make a post, my main concern is the Winx Reboot.

Recently, a trailer dropped for a reboot that will come on Netflix in 2025. The Winx we know are still here, but some things changed as we saw in the trailers. It's not redoing the Winx in 3d, it's a new series that starts from the beginning.

And people are already hating it, saying that we don't need a reboot, that it's ugly, etc. Everyone can have their opinion, but personally I think a reboot is much needed.

If you ask people about the Winx, some will say "seasons 1 to 3 are good, after I didn't really watched/I didn't liked it" ; some will say "I liked the newest season but I can recognize the problems, I think it was good until season 5/6/7" ; and majority will agree that the designs of season 8 were too childish and that it kinda ruined the show.

The live action series was very different and will not be discussed.

So actually, a reboot can be a good thing, it can fix some problems that had the show (like the reason why Stella was on Earth with Knut. In the trailer of the reboot it's Stella and Flora who are here for Bloom, and I'm very interested in how they knew there was a fairy here!)

I see so many people HATING on the show even before it's out, and it's TIRING. I know it's common to hate on something, you don't want things you knew when you were a child to change, but it's just something else that will introduce another generation to it! And old fans will certainly enjoy rediscovering the Winx under a new light!

You are allowed to not like the designs, to not want to watch it, but hating it won't change anything. The show will still exist and some people will like it, so just ignore it, and stop being a part of the hate campaign I see everywhere!!

On the top of my head, I can think of other shows that had the same issues!

The Disney Channel movies ZOMBIES got a 3d series about them redoing their senior year thanks to alien magic. People are saying "it's ugly", "no one asked for this", "cancel this please", "it's because of show like this one that The Owl House was cancelled" (definitely NOT TRUE, it has nothing to do with it).

In the ZOMBIES Re-Reanimated Series, we can find the characters of the movie living new adventures at Seabrook, we can meet new characters, and enjoy new catchy songs! The actors from the movies are dubbing their animated characters, and those characters were designed based on the actors. Again, you can say that you don't like the style, but no need to hate it.

Also, I watched a few episodes, and it's great! It's two episodes of 11 minutes in one episode on Disney+.

I can also think of the LEGO Friends franchise. The original show had a reboot named "Girl on a Mission" and now it has a third show, with a new generation. The OG girls all appeared in the show once or two, and one is actually the mother of a girl from the new show.

And maybe it's a deep cut but do people remember Heidi? It also had a 3d reboot.

I personally didn't liked it, but I know that it allowed some children to discover her, and I'm happy about this! I don't go everywhere saying that it sucks and that they should give us the Heidi from our childhood back.

And I'm sure there are other shows in the same situation...

This post is a bit long, but I really wanted to express this, because it really bother me.

A reboot is, most of the time, not a bad thing. The idea behind it is usually to make a new generation discover this thing, and sometimes it turns great, sometimes not. But that's okay.

What I wanted to say is that anyone is allowed to not like something, but hating before seeing because it's a reboot from something you really like, is not okay.

People are working on it, and maybe some of those people are also fans of the show, and are grateful to be able to work on a reboot of that show.

So please, please, please reconsider hating like this online, on something you haven't seen. If you didn't liked it, that's okay, but in the case of the Winx Club it's not even out and all I see is people criticizing it. And when some are trying to be positive about it, they are criticized.

This is so interesting and worth the watch!

As a mostly wants-based player, I have come across some of these issues while playing premades, and even in my own custom hoods where sims are a bit more "original".

Here are some things I've started doing to spice up my gameplay and still have a more or less wants-based play style.

Aspirations are not based on my Sims' zodiacs. I assign aspirations based on personality, which includes 3t2 traits, as well as the general vibe of the Sim. This means shy sims may end up with the Romance Aspiration, and playful sims may still be Knowledge. I also only assign secondary aspirations when my sims have lived through part of their adulthood (with my aging system, this happens when they hit 30 years old). This means they will have some life experience under their belt and their secondary aspiration usually reflects that.

My ACR is tuned waaaay down. I might make cheating a bit more likely when I hit gen 2 and have more Sims in my 'hood to cause chaos with, but at the moment I keep my couples pretty faithful, just so that I don't end up with a lot of cousins and half-siblings. I don't want everyone to be related by gen 3.

Allow yourself wiggle room for a lot of storytelling! I make sure my Sims (those I made in CAS) have backstories, motivations, goals, that don't have anything to do with their in-game wants. Giving them more in-depth personalities means I can decide which wants feel more realistic for them and will make them feel more unique. It also helps me decide which romantic partners to give them, which friend group, which jobs, etc.

This is a big one!! Use the chemistry system to your advantage! Not all couples are a match, so have your Sims date one-bolters, or try to flirt with someone they DON'T have chemistry with! Do this with teens who are still figuring out romance and what they want out of a relationship!! It'll make it more fun, and it might mean they won't find their special someone until later in life if they keep running into all of the incompatible sims. You may also realize one-bolt relationships are nice too. Not all couples are super physical all the time, and that's okay. You can also use this for cheating Sims. If my sim has more chemistry with a sim that's not their partner, I may be more inclined to have them cheat.

Use a Random Occurrence Scenario generator! But don't feel obligated to actually go through with it if it'll ruin your storyline or make you not want to play! If you're bored of a family, it may be a good way to spice up the gameplay and come up with new and exciting storylines. I did make my own ROS a while back and you can use it here. The really bad/tragic scenarios are less likely to pop up as the more "tame" options. You can also google Sims 2 ROS and find popular ones that other simmers use.

Use the hobby system! If you know your sim's OTH, try to incorporate it into gameplay. Personally, I rarely ever get wants related to my Sims' hobbies so I have to nudge them in the right direction. Give them items that can help develop their enthusiasm, have them go to community lots where they can meet like-minded Sims, etc. This can lead to some pretty fun gameplay and help make your Sims feel more unique.

So I had an idea after yesterday's episodes, regarding what it means to be "unaltered" and why Omega is so important.

Nala Se knew, without testing, what would be found with Omega's blood.

Rewind to Season 2, when she was talking with Lama Su. Notice they're talking about Jango's original genetic material and creating a "superior" clone. Also note that Nala Se says she needs a "direct source".

They're not talking about Gen 1 clones, they likely still have several Gen 1 clones that they could access. They're specifically talking about Jango and the unaltered clones, Boba and Omega.

They're special specifically because they're unaltered.

But unaltered is special because I believe they discovered Jango himself was special.

It wasn't ever necessary for her to test Omega's blood. She knew exactly what they would find because they tested Jango.

And if Jango wasn't special himself then there was no need to mention that his original genetic material was degrading.

I suspect that the Kaminoans already knew that it was possible to clone people with high midiclorian counts, you just did it like any other cloning. The test for them was removing high midiclorian counts from the resulting clones.

The next problem is "degraded genetic material". They couldn't use Jango's anymore. The problem is degradation. You know who else is probably actively degrading since being crispy fried by Mace Windu?

This could also be because he's getting old as balls too, but it still stands.

We don't see who is in the clone tanks on Tantiss, but I've seen a couple of different theories. Whether it's dead Jedi or Palpatine clones, it doesn't really matter. What matters is that whatever or whoever it is, is degrading, and they're trying to find a suitable genetic host to allow those degraded midichlorians to grow and replicate.

(Personally I think it's Palpatine clones, since dead Jedi are shown in both 'Rebels' and 'Obi-Wan Kenobi'.)

And what about Boba? How does he end up working for the Empire so long but no one tried to come after him for his DNA? This is a fairly easy loophole, tbh. The only ones who really knew that he was a clone were the Kaminoans, the Jedi, and the othet clones, and how many of them knew he was unaltered, and if none of them said anything then how would the Empire ever know he was anything other than a natural born son of Jango?

And would Vader even know that Palpatine was looking for an unaltered clone of Jango? Could just be a case of the right hand not knowing what the left hand was up to.

My big question now is what made them so special. It's not like Palpatine didn't have access to living people with the Force. I think that there is 2 different issues at play. The first is degradation, but the second is the dark side itself. Midichlorians from a degraded sample won't replicate in a dark side host. The Force is living, after all. I think there is some sentience here that the Empire is trying to fool.

If they could have used Inquisitors to do this, then they would have.

This is also why there were attempts to abduct force sensitive children in TCW and in Rebels. This is also why they're desperate to get Grogu in The Mandalorian.

Notice that they're all children. Too young to be tainted by the dark side and evil.

And there you have it. Omega is force sensitive, but so is Boba, and so was Jango.

It also means that probably every clone could have been force sensitive, and that it is genetic (I argued that on a previous post), but removing force sensitivity was part of their modification and was knowingly held back by Kamino until they thought that a "superior" clone was needed.

so love for doctor who is complicated for me.

i watched the 9th and two of the 10th doctor's seasons as a child (when i has 7-9 years old), but while i loved the show it would give me terrible panic attacks and night terrors when i would try and go to sleep so i had to stop watching it. but it was still a big presence in my childhood as my sibling and mum carried on watching it together, and my sibling had a lot of doctor who toys and collected the trading cards. i also watched the sarah jane adventures as a kid.

i didn't watch any episode again until i was about 13 and i wanted to see if it would still give me nightmares and i watched the 11th doctor weeping angel two parter (the one with river where they find the angels in caves) and it didn't give me nightmares so yay but i also had no desire in me to keep watching the show. since then i've seen i think two 12th doctor episodes, and i did see the 10/11/war doctor special, but again it didn't grab me enough to make me want to watch the rest of those seasons. i also as a teen watched the first couple seasons of torchwood, and the 4th one.. i have no idea how i ended up skipping children of the earth. well i do kinda, i watched season 4 when it aired and hadn't watched the previous ones, went back afterwards and watched the first two seasons and then just lost interest or couldn't find season 3 anywhere to watch.

years later, like around 2021, i can't remember what caused it, either my sibling enjoying and recommending the audio dramas or that i'd always been curious about a certain doctor after the war doctor short film or that i'd heard the most recent series of these audio dramas had the first ever trans companion, but i found myself listening to the first season of the '8th doctor adventures' audio dramas and i loved them. i fell very much in love with the 8th doctor and his voice is so soothing and gorgeous. i still haven't watched his film, and i only through through season 1, possibly season 2, of his audio dramas before the hyperfixation faded or idk what happened but i drifted off from listening to them.

and then it's 2024 and i hear that the doctor's kissed a boy. not the first time he's done that, but the last proper kiss between him and another man happened in 2005 so it still felt big to me, and i think it was big to have an episode with a queer male love story plotline from and center (which it shouldn't be, that shouldn't be a big deal but that is still not common to see on a major tv show in the uk airing on our biggest main tv channel). so i watched rogue (the episode). and i loved rogue (the episode and the character). i miss rogue (the character). i hope to see rogue again but i feel it's unlikely. and i loved the 15th doctor too, i think he's fun and idk how to describe it but he feels safe and comfy to me. so i went back and watched his first episode, the christmas special, and i had mixed feelings on the plot and the random singing and the goblins, i did like 15 and i did like ruby, i like their friendship and i liked seeing the doctor be allowed to be emotional and cry.

but. sadly, the entire time i was watching the the 15th doctor episodes that feeling was still in the back of my mind, as if i had almost trauma from what the show did to me as a young child, and i tried to keep watching the season but every time i tried, every time i watched clips from the show or the 14th doctor specials, that dread and anxiety still game to the back of my brain and i couldn't watch more than a little before i started feeling mentally kinda sick. which is a shame. i would love to be able to watch the current season, i'd love to be able to watch the specials and see 10 again, but i can't because my brain sees the same characters or monsters or tropes or even just the tardis and goes 'beep beep red alert thing that caused us trauma as a child' and i struggle to watch it, and watching doctor who isn't a necessity and so i don't watch it to save myself the mental stress.

but i loved 9, and i still do. i loved 10, but i think if you'd asked me as a kid i'd have said 10 was my favourite, but as i've gotten older i've appreciated 9 a lot more and might say i like him more than 10 now. i love 15. but who takes the prize as prince's favourite doctor? the one with the least video media, the one with a singular movie and short film, the 8th doctor. i love him so much. listening to the audio dramas didn't give me the same anxiety that watching the show does, maybe because i can't see what's happening idk. though i've spoken before about how i have to be careful watching any shows or films because of my mental health, i almost always dissociate and experience de-realisation after watching a show due to being so sucked in or hyper empathy for fictional things or something that just makes me not okay and out of it for hours after watching something. but i don't recall that happening while listening to the audio dramas, though i also haven't listened to them post-being unable to mask all the time anymore and post-autistic burnout so maybe now they would effect me idk. i'd love to listen to them again and finish the rest of his audio dramas if it's possible for me too.

and if anyone hasn't listened to the audio dramas, i would so recommend them. there's audio dramas for most doctors, both old and new who, and they're loads of them. literally loads. hundreds. and spin off audio dramas for sarah jane, unit, torchwood and probably more.

so that was a long way of saying it's 8. and i don't know if i would ever do doctor who audios. like i've explained, the show can be difficult for me mentally despite liking it. i've had requests to voice 10, but i don't think i could capture his mannerisms, i had enough trouble trying to voice crowely and feeling like i wasn't getting anywhere close to tennant's voice. i don't feel like i understand or remember any other doctor well other than 8, and i firstly don't think many would be interested in my voicing him and secondly i'm not sure i would want too? voicing him would mean delving back into doctor who and i still don't know if the audio dramas would triggering any anxiety and sometimes when i love a character and they're a comfort character i don't want to voice them, i want to keep them for me, and he might be one of those. i would have no interest in trying to voice any character other than 8, and i'm not sure i want too voice 8.

... I try. I'm severely behind, but I will get to them all eventually, dammit. I do read comments almost immediately tho, and I love and cherish every single one.

6. What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?

Probably Immortality and Recovery. They focus on learning how to cope and continue to live after a loved one/best friend has died. Very angsty, but has some bits of comfort. I cried like a baby while writing both of them, and most of my commentors said they cried too.

7. What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?

Most of my fics have happy or hopeful endings. None of them really stand out as the 'happiest?'

8. Do you get hate on fics?

... no. I've written some controversial fics where I expected to get hate so I moderated comments, but I was pleasantly surprised to see no hate! Some people didn't agree with my opinions/interpretations in those fics, but they were polite enough.

9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind?

Nope. It's not my thing. I prefer gen relationships. Cuddles are better.

10. Do you write crossovers? What’s the craziest one you’ve written?

Oooo tough. It's a tie between Percy & Poseidon (familial) and Percy & Hermes (platonic).

Oh goodness. No. If I started talking about all the fics I planned and started but haven't finished I'd have grey hair by the time I was done describing them with all my plans.

16. What are your writing strengths?

I'm good at writing emotion, and short but sweet stories. Good with hurt/comfort, and mild-mid level angst.

17. What are your writing weaknesses?

Long fics. Coming back to fics that I haven't finished within a week. I have no commitment whatsoever, it is my kryptonite.

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic?

I've done it before. I'll probably do it again, if it adds value to the story.

I've seen it in other fics, and my only issue is when the author doesn't make it obvious what the words mean, or they don't immediately provide a translation. Like I don't want to have to scroll past thousands of words/switch to another tab to google it and lose my place to figure out what a sentence means, you know? Its distracting and takes away from the story.

cd/dvd runner/ burner (a thinkpad ultraslim): you have been in my family before i was even old enough to start using you. you have served our family well and will continue to for many years i am sure. whether its burning dubious dvds and cd or watching movies you have done what you could. camera (olympus c-300 zoom): You have been alive for longer than i was and also served my family for 2 generation. You still function as you should. The picture you take remain beautiful and i will always cherish you as a respected companion. Elan of an adventurer who even in old age will still go no matter what.

Desktop( im not gonna bother with the stats): I have not seen you in so long yet and i am sorry. You have the most power of them all but do not hold it over anyone's head, you even try to work with them to the best of your ability, this is very formidable of you. My dear child your machine spirit is also a gentle one but you have a somewhat thicker head due to the power you wield this is not a fault of yours of course but simply a quality. you do everything you can and im gratefully for your work. Many say you're parts are not the best but i disagree you are the best you could be right now even if not everything is the newest. For starter pokemon, it depends on the gen, and it mostly just goes off vibes. The more I work on this, the more I hammer it out though.

Part of the problem is that some gens have more than 3 potential people who need a starter, so like in gen 1, I have chosen to allow Leaf and Green to coexist, and in gen 2 you obviously have a trio instead of a duo of protags.

For gen 1 I've solved this by chucking an Evee at Leaf and letting Red, Blue, and Green keep their manga starters. Something similar will probably happen in other gens.

Basically, if a protagonist has a really strong association with one starter, I give it to them and work everything else out from there.

So far I have for Gen 1:

Red: Venosaur, Blue: Charizard, Green: Blastoise, Leaf: Evee (probably)

Gen 2:

Ethan: Cyndaquil, Kris: Feraligatr, Lyra: Meganium, Silver: something else I haven't picked yet, probably a zubat. I have plans for it's friendship evo tying into Silver's redemption arc. Basically, when Silver stole the initial pokemon, Ethan Kris and Lyra ganged up on him and took it back, so he had to get a different starter.

Gen 3:

Brendan: Sceptile, May: Blaziken, Wally: Raltz.

Gen 4:

Barry: Empoleon, so subsequently Dawn: Infernape, Lucas: Torterra. I don't strongly associate Lucas or Dawn with these two, but me and a lot of other people strongly associate Barry with Empoleon, so that's how it shakes out.

Also. As someone who did swap Lucas and Dawn just for fun fairly regularly, I just really like assistant Lucas's personality. A lot more than assistant Dawn's. It's subtle differences but it's there, and I would probably give protag!Lucas his assistant personality anyway, where the same is not true for Dawn. A lot of it has to do with how Dawn is like. More responsible as the assistant. She's more dedicated to her job and to teaching you stuff. Lucas is more chill and kind of bumbling, and I like that for him. He has to discover who he is and fight to become more competent.

Gen 5

Hilbert: Samurott Hilda: Emboar Bianca: Musharna, Cheren: Stoutland. Stoutland and Musharna are Cheren and Bianca's ace pokemon anyway, so I let them have it. Serperior doesn't get used here, but I make up for it later so, whatever.

Also, while I do love the weird old fashioned names Hilbert and Hilda, I am irrationally annoyed that they start with the same syllable, so I've replaced them with their fan placeholder names of Blake and Whitley.

Rosa: Serperior, Nate: Samurott, Hugh: Emboar. This is mostly because I associate Rosa with Serperior though. I also associate Hugh with Emboar, but that's because Snivy is my favorite starter out of ALL of them, so I always played B2W2 against Hugh with an Emboar.

After this, we get into games I haven't played and am gonna have to go looking for the script to remind myself who the hell the rivals are, but I still managed to develop opinions about the protagonists based on design vibes and silly fancomics and watching nuzlockes and stuff.

I really strongly associate Serena with Delfox and Gloria with Cinderace, but I otherwise have very few opinions here. Need to read the script and look into their masters versions.
