You're astonishing
Started playing MTG Arena recently and remembered why I left; opponents keep playing cards that draw infinite cards or get infinite +1/+1 counters or otherwise just overpower anything I can play. But there's a trick: +1/+1 counters and cards in hand don't matter if you're already dead by turn 5. Thus, aggro is the only viable deck type.
This doubly applies to Brawl, which is why I've been having so much fun with this cheap bastard:

notes after rewatching fallout s1 ep2
• dogmeat's introduction 🥺 • the enclave being shown as supremely evil because how could you incinerate live puppies 😭 • i want more backstory on siggi because i am curious if this is change of heart or like a mole • the super mutant hand needs to go from easter egg to reality next season forreal • i noticed siggi was drinking whiskey? to numb the pain of putting that cold fusion chip in his head--- i also wonder if he was drinking because he knew he wasn't going to make it • saw on reddit someone asking so it's the enclave who has cold fusion? and i'm still a bit confused about that because... i was thinking moldaver had something to do with its creation but then siggi knew exactly who lucy was... if the enclave is supposed to be a continuation of the pre war us government, then it feels like there's more tying the enclave and vault tec together than i thought
• in the escape scene, it seems like the other scientist knew siggi was betraying the enclave, but how? if they have cold fusion, was it obvious he was "stealing" it and trying to give it to someone else? maybe i have gaps in my knowledge here • siggi genuinely does seem like he's trying to do the right thing though 🥲 • dogmeat seeing that guy try to harm siggi and dogmeat fuckin' him up ❤️ • game dogmeat being referred sometimes as a boy and show dogmeat being a girl lol [love the gender doesn't matterism here gldfgld]
• the people who are enslaved work at the enclave being held there and escape meaning death • if these are namibia scenes where lucy is trekking, they are breathtaking, wonderful worldbuilding • lucy seeing a tumbleweed for the first time and going "the heck?" but then i like, remember she doesn't really know what "wind" is 😭 [and this also subverts the "tumbleweed blowing in the wind through a desert or desolate place" trope, i'm sorry but this a masterclass in comedy lmao] • her coming across some bodies but this time skeletons at a dinner table, a family of four i believe, all having taken poison, vault tech brand [a chilling scene but fallout is known for their hilariously placed skeletions so there's one with a cup of dirt in front of it] • probably the first time lucy is being confronted by hank and/or vault tec's lies, depending • lucy setting a [camp] fire, and me recognizing immediately it was a bad move [i watch too much stuff 💀] • i honestly' can't believe she took off her pip boy • dogmeat finding lucy 🥺 • it was destiny in so many ways because dogmeat is tearing that radroach the fuck up • siggi giving like a monologue in the most unsettling voice ever was so funny to me • siggi trying to tell her these animals [if you can call them that] up there are insane and genuinely in the nicest way possible trying to tell her she should go home • "question is, will you still want the same things when you have become a different animal altogether?" is some crazy foreshadowing • the cold fusion capsule glowing as he walks away • lord titus being an asshole and maximus doing the same to thaddeus lmao • lord titus "wanting to shoot something" and his stupidity leading to his own demise • [i like neither lord titus or the actor that plays him so dkfsdkgd] • dogmeat going into the yao guai den and coming back with a hand like it was sharing it with them 😭 • maximus being continuously disrespected and knocked down a peg, he doesn't deserve this 😞 • insane how close and somehow inadvertently hot on the trail lord titus and maximus was for siggi and dogmeat • learning squires appears to be a dime a dozen and that's one reason lord titus sent maximus deeper into the cave, the other is that he was scared • maximus seemed to be both disillusioned and struck with fear watching the yao guai attack lord titus--- so it was almost breathtakingly offensive when lord titus decided to blame maximus for everything and wanting him like, court martialed almost for this incident, despite maximus being small of gun and armourless, despite them both being scared, lord titus blames maximus for lord titus' own failings • "this wasteland fucking sucks!" love that running motif • anyways glad that guy died, next! • lmao this very disgusting man in a diaper or something being thankful lucy didn't shoot him but also drinking all her water 😭 • lucy getting a taste of wasteland selfishness and desperation gdfgdgfd • maximus belongs in a power suit • this chicken fucking man having the elixir to immortality or regeneration or whatever it is 😭 • and the chicken farmer, in a cameo, is a makeup designer and props department person 🙂 • in a beautiful shot, it looks like lucy is in the famous car forest or a replica of it • her trying to be convivial and people just not having it 😢 • filly is very fallout and i assume gamers enjoyed this scene because • everyone is in bizarre and comical mad max style outfits, iguana meat, giving metaton vibes • so i just read filly was named because it's a landfill but also there's the fact it was filmed in an airplane and automobile graveyard outside new jersey [close to philadelphia] and that there is a fillmore, california • also saw where it's modeled to look a lot like megaton and i thought this on first viewing • i didn't even realize cooper was already shown sitting and waiting, the crossing of paths was crazy • lucy seeing degeneracy first hand 💀 • lucy seeing weird shit and smiling because she, too, is weird
• cooper mysteriously and sexily watching from afar after cornering his bounty • "barv get in here" not ma june calling her friend to come and point and laugh at lucy • moldaver being ma june's client and that's why she shuts lucy down so fast after she asks about that pip boy • ma june saying lucy got all ten fingers, damn the writers were so • "i know that it can't have been easy for you up here, what with all the murder and the dirt" lmao lucy please • lucy realising vault tec's demonic saviour complex is very hard to preach about to wastelanders, people who have survived for centuries and without the help of the vaulties • lucy really is from the rich part of town because ma june was so insulted by her lies, she took her gun out • cooper, siggi, lucy intersecting was so crazy though • kind of wondering why siggi didn't wear a disguise as a wanted man • siggi trying to be nice and warning lucy to leave versus ma june harshly reminding cooper him and his ghoul kind aren't wanted in filly • getting chills that siggi is explaining to lucy what her vault experiment basically was as i didn't see it as that on first watch • siggi was telling her to go home because if someone smart realized who she was or where she came from, all hell would break loose • ok so cooper says the bounty went out from all six agencies but i could only think of three, wondering who they all are • ma june mentions she was given caps for siggi's safe transport out of filly, cooper mentioning a bidding war, is that why he shot siggi's leg clean off [probably did because bounty was dead or alive] • ma june getting people clipped by putting caps on whoever can take cooper down first 😭 • cooper smiling as all them people descend on him because this is the "the love of the game" shit he was talkin' bout 😭💀 • "all this murder makin' me hungry" cooper essentially • him eating those cherry tomatoes and then paying for them 🥲 • almost forgot cooper actually did get shot multiple times and kept goin', ghouls are somethin' else • noticing cooper gave ma june a nonlethal leg shot versus basically sending siggi to his demise with his • cooper stabbing not shooting dogmeat • cooper was about to shoot but lucy's candor and morality was a breath of fresh air, he was so shook lmao • he was so charmed, he kept walking, leaving him open to her shooting him in quite literally his heart [ok symbolism] 😭, smiling and everything • "well now that is a very small drop in a very, very large bucket of drugs" lmaooo they created ultrajet for ghouls because jet isn't strong enough for them • lucy being immediately impressed with the t60 • i hate maximus had to lie because this was so "knight in shining armour" but why did he reveal his face to lucy knowing if the brotherhood of steel had found out this early about what he did, he'd be dead meat like • cooper almost shot that girl like three times ldgld • i genuinely think the tranquilizer effected him but just a teensy bit • siggi saying he could still make the trip and ma june saying he'd be lucky to make it to breakfast ☹️ • jim's limbs has be cracking up every time • them installing that robo leg onto siggi is the most gory and disgusting scene to me and i hope it gets worse • something oddly sweet about siggi saying lucy can take him to moldaver after nearly begging lucy to go back home for her own safety, she put her life on the line to save him 😞 • cooper getting mopped by maximus in that power suit sends • i didn't realize after maximus made cooper fall, cooper says "goddamn, that hurt" 😭 • "you drive that thing like a fucking shopping cart" and it's a power suit gldgfld • that snake oil salesman really was telling the truth, he maybe could've healed siggi • cooper petting dogmeat while giving them a stimpak, cooper showing a genuine smile while doing so • siggi really lost too much blood and i thought this back in filly • siggi saying the cynanide pill from vault tec was the most humane thing they produced, pre war was a dark time

Okay, so Sider Order.
Here's a few of my random observations and thoughts:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
So here it looks like Pearl Drone is flying Eight in through a window? Ands it looks like some kind of factory or packaging plant. I've heard folks saying that the things being packed in boxes could be something akin to Mem Cakes from Octo Expansion...Perhaps and early sign that Kamabo.Co is involved.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
FINALLY, ENEMIES THAT AREN'T OCTARIANS!
Well, these Goo-bers are interesting. Many have pointed out that they resemble fish species that feed on coral. But I also want to add that they have an "undead" aesthetic even more overt than they sanitised people. Someone on Tiktok pointed out that they look like fossils, and the "jelly" surrounding the bones (and what seems to be their ink) could be a visual pun on "fossil fuels". Note how the "bursts" of fluid don't look anything like the ink that other entities in the series use.
Tumblr media
This basically confirms that we'll be playing as Agent Eight. After the first teaser I saw a lot of theories about being a clone floating around.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Now everyone's going crazy about DedF1sh (Or Acht, as they are referring to themselves here.) There's some interesting dialogue here. First of all, "another bystander who got suck in here", so, "another" in this context could be themselves since she's talking to Eight and Pearl, but there could be a chance that we could encounter more people who have ended up at the Spire of Order. Plus, she's most likely not here of her own accord, from the "bystander sucked in" part (assuming she's telling the truth). People are being brought here.
Secondly, Acht mentions knowing Marina from "way back", so we could be getting deeper into Marina's backstory (another common theme in the fan theories). Dedf1sh also introduces the player to the Chip and Palette system, which are a core part of the DLC's gameplay loop, since they appear to be going for a Rogue-like. Ther chips kind of remind me of the paint colour swatches you get at a hardware shop, combined with computer chips (that's not totally relevant, I'll admit).
Tumblr media Tumblr media
More stuff to do with the gameplay. It looks like each floor has a few variants with different difficulties and objectives, which reward a currency, most likely used to buy chips and other upgrades. It's giving that impression almost that the Spire is another "testing facility", akin to the Deep Sea Metro. Hopefully this places doesn't contain any blenders.
Tumblr media
Unusual way of spawning in, where you can see Eight's soul ghost...thing enter a polygonal model before fully forming. There does seem to be a lot of digital glitchy stuff going on. Maybe some virtual reality elements?
Tumblr media
Finally, what I think looks like a boss arena (although some have suggested that this machine is the Big Bad itself). Upon close inspection, the "faces" scattered around it are covered in the oil and are moving around a bit. Looks kinda like Tartar during the final confrontation when he for some reason had a blob of sanitised goop on his face. I might be reading too much into this.
I mean, if they wanna bring Tartar back, he is an AI, so they could say a back-up copy of him was found somewhere. Like, a time capsule with the Professor's crappy spare USB or somethin' idk.
Anyway, that's all I got for know. Just gotta wait for Spring.

Your Bestfriend's Bestfriend
SUMMARY: Pinning for your best friend, sim jaehyun for three whole years made you tired. That's why you ask your best friend's best friend, park sunghoon to help you... that escalated in a very different way, not knowing jake would see the two of you in action.
🍒 PAIRINGS: bestfriend!sim jaehyun x fem!reader x friend!park sunghoon
🍒 WARNINGS: SMUT! thr*esome, oral s*x both m and f receiving, n*pple play, f*ngering, face f*cking, double vaginal p*netration, mention of alcohol, basically two best friends f*cking their friend
🍒 REMINDERS: Let's say that 'IDDD' and 'YBB' has the same universe. Also, I'm thinking about writing one for jungwon... same universe, but of course, no smut.

"The number you have dialed is either unattended or out of coverage area. Please try again later-" Jake clicked his tongue as he look at his phone screen where your number was typed.
He tried again but still, no answer from you. The other line just kept ringing and ringing pero walang sumasagot. Are you THAT busy? Are you busy fucking someone kaya di ka sumasagot sa tawag niya? Jake's mood deteriorated again from the thought, this is not good.
After the 5th try, he sighed in frustration before putting his phone in his back pocket using his left hand while the other grabbed his red plastic cup that contains vodka from the space on the side of the sink.
Before umalis, he looked at his reflection from the mirror. Checking if he still look sober although matino pa naman talaga siya. Sino bang makakainom kung may bigla na lang nawawala sa tabi mo?
Jake can't help himself but roll his eyes at the thought. He shook his head before turning to the door, then opening it. He was welcomed once again by the loud party music and party lights that engulfed the whole house.
He looked around, trying to locate his friends from random group of people as he sips some vodka from the red plastic cup in his right hand, "Fuck, where is she?" He mumbled. Nababadtrip na talaga siya. Dumating kayo sa party ng magkasama and dapat magkasama rin kayong uuwi. Mahirap ba yun?
He tried to walk towards the kitchen, peeking through the door to see if he will recognize some familiar faces. The kitchen was a mess, but then it came out as somehow an understatement - Sunghoon's house where the party was held is in such a disaster state, both inside and out. On top of the island in the center of the kitchen, lay a topless unknown man passed out. His torso up to his face was full of drawings, Jake can't even help but scoff when he sees a 'dick' drawing on the guy's face. In the corner of the room, he saw a couple making out. The girl was sitting at the counter, and in between her legs is some guy as they suck each other's faces.
His face crunched in disgust, he doesn't have a problem with couples making out but at least has the decency to do it in private.
"Oh! Jake hyung!" A familiar voice called him making him snap out of reality. His head turns to the left where the refrigerator was placed and there was a white-haired boy standing in between the fridge's door.
"Sun..." Jake called, his voice came out like a sigh of relief when he saw a familiar face as the latter closed the door and walked towards him. The younger examines his face before it gasps, "You're still sober, Jake hyung. I thought kapag friday night, walang magpipigil?" Sun asks before munching the bag of chips in his hands that he most likely got from the fridge.
"Paano ako iinom, eh nawawala si Y/N?" Jake answered before snaking his hands towards the bag of chips to get some and eat it.
"Si Y/N?" Sunoo paused, covering his lips as he chew the chips. "She was with Jungwon kanina nung nakita ko... siguro, mga 30 minutes ago?"
When he walked inside the living room, he saw the two youngest people in their friend group, sitting on the couch together with a girl who sat in between them. Akala niya si Y/N na but he was wrong. "Won! Niki!" He called... "Nakita niyo si Y/N?"
"Kasama namin siya kanina pero hinila nila sunghoon hyung sa taas para sa truth or dare" Jungwon replied, his eyes are kinda sleepy as he looks up towards the older one.
"Go to her, Jake hyung. May tama na si Sunghoon hyung and you know how he is when he's drunk... but don't worry she was with Jay and Heeseung hyung" Niki added before nodding his head towards the direction of the stairs that led upstairs.
Jake didn't waste any time, nodding at them before immediately running upstairs. His feet were practically skipping two to three steps when ascending the stairs. He was afraid of what he will see upstairs but gusto niya ring i-make sure na you're okay.
The music became muffled but still heard when he arrived in the hallway. Kabilaang mga kwarto ang tumambad sa kanya and he immediately walked towards the 2nd room on the right. The door was slightly ajar. When he was about to open the door, he heard something from inside.
It was a moan... from you.
You were on top of the bed, still fully clothed. Your skirt is on your thighs and your legs are apart.
"You're so tight, Y/N. Your pussy practically swallows my fingers as I finger you" Sunghoon said causing him to earn another moan from you. It was an understatement if someone will say that Jake was sad, wrong... he was devastated, shocked, and even angry.
How can Sunghoon betray him when he knows that Jake likes you, his best friend from the very start but then again, Jake started thinking about your actions these past few months.
He was not oblivious about how you became close with Sunghoon, how your voice and how you looked at his friend were way more different from how you looked at him. Jake was in denial, or even contented and delusional that maybe you will reciprocate his feelings one day.
Pero buhay nga naman, naunahan siya ng bestfriend niya na gawin ang matagal niya nang gustong gawin sayo.
Jake wanted to ravish you, to further corrupt you with his cock pero siguro sa susunod na buhay na lang. He was about to walk away when he heard his name inside, "Ganto ka rin ba kabasa kapag inisip mo si Jake, huh? Iniisip mo ba na daliri ni Jake yung naglalaro sa puke mo ngayon?" Sunghoon said as he looks down on your fucked face. "Yes..." You hummed closing your eyes as Sunghoon hit your spot for the umpteenth time of the night. "Fuck, oo! I'm thinking about Jake right now" Sagot mo bago humalinghing ulit. Your voice made Jake's mouth opened like a fish, inisip mo siya? pinagpapantasyahan mo din ba siya just like how he fantasized about you?
You moaned again when Sunghoon finger-fucked you knuckle deep, your voice sends hot blood from Jake's mind to his dick, making it obvious that his dick is now in charge both of his body and mind that's why he did what he have to.
He opened the door, completely revealing himself. Parehas kayo ni Sunghoon na napatingin sa pintuan kung nasaan siya. You were about to cover yourself up when the man in front of you stop you which made you look at him, confused.
"Pre, akala ko di kana dadating." Sunghoon greeted him, offering his hands for their special handshake. "Trinaydor mo ko, Hoon... baka nakakalimutan mo" Sagot ni Jake, still looking at your figure pero halata sa boses niya ang inis.
Natawa si Sunghoon, "I know! I'm sorry, my bad" He said habang itinaas ang dalawang kamay niya. "I can't help it, she's hot as fuck. She was begging me to do something since alam naman daw niya na hindi mo kayang gawin yun sa kanya. Isa pa nababadtrip na rin ako sa katorpehan nyong dalawa."
"And besides, alam ko na the two of you both fantasizing about this. Y/N fantasize about us fucking her at the same time..." Sunghoon explained looking at you with his brows up. "... and you fantasize about us fucking her hole at the same time." He added placing his hands on Jake's shoulder that made the latter chuckle. "Alam mo talaga gusto ko, hoon."
"What..?" You mumbled to yourself.
Jake hovered on top of you, kissing your forehead before looking directly at your eyes. "I like you, Y/N. Matagal na." He caressed your face while looking around it, taking in every bit of you. "Like Hoon said, I always fantasized about you... thinking how would it feels to fuck you at the same time. Is it okay with you?" Hindi ka sumagot, you just look at him still surprised sa kung anong pinagsasabi niya.
You liked Jake first, no doubt about that. Ever since elementary, 6th grade to be specific, naramdaman mo na talaga na may iba na. And when Jake didn't show you any interest, or at least that's what you felt since he always had a girlfriend na ipapakilala sayo - is nakilala mo din si Sunghoon at the same time. That's when you developed a crush on him. How can you not? Sunghoon is hot and he was lowkey good with people kahit ang unang pakilala niya sa sarili niya ay introvert.
You thought you were discreet about your feelings with both of them but you're wrong lalo na sa case ni Sunghoon. He even knows about your deepest and darkest fantasies.
Ni hindi mo namalayan na napalunok ka ng laway na naiipon na pala sa lalamunan mo and Jake take it as a 'no'. He slowly gets off on top of you, "Don't worry, we're not forcing you if ayaw mo-" You grabbed his arm. "No... Jake, I-" You started finding the right words.
"I like to do it with the two of you..." You added but then, "pero tama ba 'to? I mean mag best friend kayo"
"Don't worry about that, Y/N" Sunghoon replied looking at you with a smile on his lips. "Yeah, I can share you with him ngayon. Sanay na ako and hindi kita pwedeng ipagdamot cuz' you're not yet entirely mine so you can do what ever you want. Just remember na ginusto din namin 'to." Jake explained leaning again to kiss your forehead.
"Okay. Let's do it." The man on top of you smiled, leaning in again to finally kiss you on your lips. His tongue was dancing on your lower lips demanding an entrance that you gladly give.
Jake was sucking your tongue when you felt Sunghoon lean on your left neck, sucking and biting your skin. The black-haired man slowly traveled from your mouth to your neck, sucking the spot on your right together with his best friend.
"Don't worry, Y/N... walang magbabago between the three of us." Sunghoon whispered to your ear bago niya pinalitan si Jake sa mga labi mo.
You felt his hands snake to your tube to pull it down making your breast go free. Jake groaned at the sight of your tits before his mouth attacked one of them causing you to snake your hands to his hair to tug it. Sumunod naman si sunghoon na pinaglaruan ang kabila, habang sunod na itinaas ang skirt mo. He started rubbing your clit when he successfully did it.
"Shit!" You moaned, the pleasure was unstoppable. Imagine two boys constantly sucking on your tits like newborn babies while a hand was pleasuring your clit.
Jake released your nipple with a pop, his saliva still coated your breast when he sit up towards your leg and started to pull it down causing you to whine when Sunghoon stop the pleasure that he gives you. The sound made the two of them chuckle as Jake continuously pulls your panties down.
His breath was knocked-out from his body when your wet pussy was displayed in front of him. "Puta, panaginip ba 'to?" Jake ask himself na ikinatawa ni hoon. The brown-haired runs his fingers to your fold causing you to release a satisfied hum. "Not a dream, man" He replied, and with that Jake almost immediately kneel in front of you. He doesn't even give you a sign, he just lapses at your wet folds causing you to squirm.
After some time, he turned you into all fours. You even shivered from the thought of you being completely exposed to your best friend. "Jake..." You hummed as he connect his lips to your pussy again.
Sunghoon, on the other hand, sits on the bed in front of you. Unbuckling his belt, removing his pants completely before tossing them to the side. He lifted your chin making sure that you were looking at him directly. "Ako naman asikasuhin mo, Y/N. Magtatampo na ako nyan.." He whispered looking at you directly, eyes heavy with lust.
You look down at his dick, standing still and proud. "Touch it" Sunghoon ordered and you can't help yourself but follow his demands. You touch his dick as it twitches on your hold that causing Sunghoon to exhale air.
Your thumb spread the precum on its head, stimulating him as you slowly started to guide your hands in an up and down motion. Fuck, he was thick and pretty just like how the man is pretty.
With that thought, you placed small kitten licks on his head. Playing with his dick as you look up to Sunghoon, his head was thrown back heavy breath was escaping from his mouth.
"Fuck, Y/N! Quit the teasing." Sabi ni sunghoon as he looks down at you. Medyo nababadtrip na siya sa ginagawang pagpapaligoy ng babaeng hawak-hawak ang tite niya. "Can you just- ugh!" Napasigaw si Sunghoon nung isinubo mo siya ng buong-buo. He even felt the end of your throat. "Fuck!" Sunghoon screamed as the woman pick up her pace, bobbing her head in a steady pace.
"Fuck, pare. Y/N's mouth is so- Ah!" Puri ni Sunghoon as he felt your tongue pleasuring his head, hands slowly massaged his balls.
"Really? Dapat na ba ako mainggit?" Jake asked, but his friend didn't answer, his mind was still fucked out as you pleases him non-stop. "Damn, so fucking hot." Jake murmured as he look at the woman who still sucking his friend. He looks down at his pants and he can't help but chuckle at his bulge.
He kisses your folds before spreading your juices again with his thumb. Jake then proceeds to enter your pussy hole with his three fingers making you moan. Jake chuckled at your reaction, "Fuck! Jake do that again!" Utos ni sunghoon sa kanya. Jake's finger fastened its pace, making your moans ceaselessly get louder. The room was filled with Sunghoon's groans and sounds that come from your wet pussy.
Jake stimulated her clit when he felt her walls clenching around his fingers. "Ugh! Tangina, sige pa!" Sigaw ni Sunghoon, his hands can't help but grab your head guiding it with force up and down. The vibration of your moans as Jake fingers you adds up with Sunghoon's pleasure.
Sunghoon's hips buck up as he rides his orgasm on your mouth. On the other hand, your legs started to tremble as you also hit your orgasm on Jake's fingers. The two of you tried to calm your breathing as Jake chuckled at two of you. "Okay, ako naman" He said unbuckling his pants, and removing his boxers as his dick slaps to his belly button.
You look at his dick, eyes wide. It's your first time seeing Jake's dick and it's one of the prettiest dick you have ever seen aside from Sunghoon's, of course. "Like what you see?" Tanong ni Jake sayo. "Fuck, I wanted to suck you so bad" Y/N said which made Jake chuckle again. Tangina, ang sexy talaga. "Of course, babe. Your wish is my command?" Pang-aasar ni Jake habang nakataas ang isang kilay.
“Sit on my face, Y/N. Gusto kita tikman" Sabi naman ni Sunghoon nung nakarecover na siya. He lays on his back while Jake stands up on top of the bed, both of his hands are gripping the canopy railing of the four-poster bed. You positioned yourself on top of Sunghoon's face, both of your legs on either side of the man's face as you tried to be comfortable. Ayaw mo namang ma-suffocate yung isa so you are careful about putting her pussy on top of him.
When you finally found your comfort, you look in front of you. Jake and his dick are patiently waiting for you, "Your big, Jek." Puri mo kay Jake na ikinangiti niya. "You should put it in your mouth now..." You opened your mouth as you slowly suck him which made Jake close his eye, throwing his head back as he muttered a breathless 'fuck'. Fuck naman talaga, the girl he's harboring feelings with is currently sucking his dick while his best friend eats her out. Tangina, nakakatayo ng balahibo. Never did he imagined na magkakatotoo lahat ng fantasy niya
You moaned as sunghoon's tongue wrapped inside her, she started to rock her hips still sucking Jake. The moan vibrated on Jake's dick which made the man cursed, "Sunghoon, bro... do that again" utos niya sa kaibigan niya. The next thing you knew, the three of you were riding your own highs.
"Hoon, did you cum without someone touching you?" Y/N said in between her breaths, getting off his face and looking at his cock still twitching. Sunghoon's cum was splattered across his abdomen. "Did you cum while listening to Jake's moan?" You teased, alam mo na napansin ni Hoon na may laman ang salita mo that's why he glared at you. "You don't know my view under your pussy as you grind on my mouth, Y/N. It was enough to make me cum"
"Enough with nonsense and let's just fuck" Inip na sabi ni Jake. Sunghoon nodded in response. In just a blink of an eye, Sunghoon was sitting behind you while Jake was in front, and the three of you were in sandwich position. The man behind you grabs your legs, hooking them up with his legs to keep you spread. "Fuck, sobrang basa. Di na need ng lube" Sabi ni Sunghoon nung kinapa ka niya, he then slips his dick, a groan escaping from his as he felt your pussy swallow him.
You were more tighter than before siguro dahil na rin sa fact na you just cum just a couple of minutes ago. "Kakasya kaya?" Sabi mo habang nakatingin sa alaga ni Jake. He shushed you and peck your forehead, "Breath okay?" Tumango ka and he started to push his dick in. "Fuck!" Pagmura mo habang nararamdaman yung burn sa baba mo.
"Ugh! Unti na lang baby..." His dick was disappearing so deliciously from your hot pussy. "Ah! Tangina!" Sigaw mo, your mind was so lost. Ni hindi mo alam kung anong isisigaw mo, puro mura at sarap na lang. The fact that both of their cocks were inside you made you more wet. Both of them are big, Sunghoon's thicker while Jake's more on the lengthy side. It's a win-win situation.
"Move..." You whispered to Jake and he did. He started rocking his hips causing both you and Sunghoon to cuss. "Fuck... Y/N support yourself, I'm gonna move too"
Tumango ka as a response not bothering to look at him, you felt hoon completely lay on his back, and in return, you supported yourself with your hands positioning them on either side of hoon's body as he started to fuck into you.
It was so intense, Jake pulling you closer to him while Sunghoon was holding your waist as support, both of them fastening their paces.
"Tangina! Ang sarap!" Sigaw ni Hoon sa likod. Both of them felt how their dicks are clashing with each other fucking into you in an exchanging manner. When Sunghoon was retracting his dick that's when Jake goes in, hitting your sweet spots in turn.
It was so intense, the room was filled with moans and grunts the sound increasing as the three of you felt near. You doubt that you're moaning, you were actually screaming. Wala kang pake kung may makakarinig, wala kang magagawa. It was so good. You feel so good that you felt crying. Fuck!
"Shit! I think malapit na ko"
"Ugh... J-jake.... ho-on"
"Tangina!"
You felt the two boys change their speeds, may halong gigil, it was obvious from the fact that you felt their hands tightening their grab from your body that would surely leave bruises tomorrow. They felt your pussy clenching, as they felt their abdomen tighten as well.
The next thing you all knew is that you were cumming and screaming at the top of your lungs. You fell on top of Sunghoon as he place you beside him, both of you trying to calm your breathing. Jake, on the other hand, crawled beside you before hugging your body. Both of them were looking at you, scanning your body for any discomfort.
After some time, naramdaman mo na may bumangon sa kama. You didn't acknowledge it, you didn't even open your eyes to check who got up. But then, you felt the bed sunken again. When you opened your eyes, it was Jake... na may dalang basang tuwalya sa kamay.
You looked at the bedside table na nasa gilid mo and there you found a small basin. "You want to take a bath?" Tumango ka, "But later na, I just wanted to sleep." You answered and Jake murmured an 'okay' before wiping your body from your head, then in between your legs, making sure that you are cleaned and will not cause any discomfort in your sleep. He then lifted you up and walked towards the couch on the side, ibinababa ka niya before walking back again to the bed to change the sheets real quick.
Jake lifted you up again as he put you on the bed, tucking your waist in. The warm and fresh laundry blanket wrapped on your body as he takes care of you.
Sunghoon entered your sight, ngayon mo lang napansin that they wear their shirts na that made you conscious in your body. Buti na lang, jake immediately made you wear his clean shirt and boxers.
"Oh.." Sabi ni sunghoon habang iniaabot ang isang bote ng tubig na binuksan niya na. You thanked him quietly before chugging the water. Both of them show concern about how your hand trembles as you put the bottle on your lips, their eyes didn't leave you even just for a sec especially jake.
"I'm fine, don't worry. It just means you both fucked me good" You absentmindedly said making sunghoon genuinely scoff and jake to curves his head in an attempt to hide the blush creeping on his cheeks.
"I really enjoyed the night, Y/N... please, don't hate me if I'm gonna leave first." Biglang sabi ni sunghoon, "I just think that you two need to talk about something." The latter started to walk but before he can even step out of the door, jake called him.
"Saan ka punta?"
"Maliligo sa kabilang room... pre, alam mo na gagawin" Sagot nito bago tuluyang isinarado ang pinto.
The two of you are engulfed in silence. "Aish! We just fucked with my best friend tapos ang tahimik natin??!?" Jake shouted as he slam his head to the side of the bed. His head was tilted to the side as he looks up at you, sitting in the bed, your back was leaning on the headboard as a support, and the bottled water was still in one of your hands.
"What?" Your mind is still preoccupied as you look at him in return but it was as if your gaze just infiltrates him. Jake's lips wear a pout, ang cute niya! He looks like a puppy which was accurate in comparison to his attitude.
You're not shy about what happened or regret it, those are not the reason why you're silent. Siguro it's because you just had a good sex and it was yet to process in your brain.
"Y/N....!" Pagmamaktol ng kasama mo. He was stomping his feet as he tries to get your attention. "You like me right?" Jake asks and you nodded.
"Then we should date..." Seryosong sabi niya and for the second time you nodded again but it was obvious that your mind was not with you at the moment.
Jake released an exaggerating groan before trapping you into the headboard. Both of his hands on your sides as he kissed you... hard.
You returned the gesture and after the post-sex making-out that you did, your lips released a chuckle. "I love you too." You said that made jake smile. "Yeah, I love you three!"
You laughed in his silliness, "But no talking with sunghoon for straight a week! You're mine until I say so"

i can't remember if i've mentioned this here, but i've been having. thoughts abt how mr. chidouin's the one who killed qingyuè / kai's mother. maybe it's sort of an honor, in a twisted sense, that it's the godfather that's the one who puts the final nail in the coffin -- but it hardly matters. the death's covered up, dismissed, as all others have been. and that is that.
there is nothing for gashu to return to. their child is the next bargaining chip to keep him locked here under threat without needing to explicitly disclose they killed that 'chinese traitor' and could just as easily kill one with her blood...
but then - what it means later on... dredged up because mr. chidouin's always been curious, hasn't he: he wonders what kai remembers, he wonders how kai languishes, if he does at all. he wonders how much mandarin means to kai, or if he even knows he's chinese. he wants to learn about kai as his friend, but also as the killer. it's that morbid taste of it, of wanting to know what exactly he took away - or if it's he who made kai strong.
because he's proud of who kai's become, he is, as inconvenient as it may be for their assassin to end up unable and unwilling to kill anyone... that doesn't mean se's not strong. & it's just fascinating seeing that play out, seeing how kai clings to the chidouins now and directs his strength into something protective, only accepting destruction when absolutely necessary -- which, with them, provides just enough leverage to justify it. it makes mr. chidouin feel special, seeing someone as strong as kai kneel to love (a love he'd been deprived of; one only chidouin could return... still the murderer, he lifts it from qingyuè's body)
but... kai only kneels because this love isn't fake.
once gashu was convinced to let kai go, to no longer endure the dread of watching his son's tragedy unfold, mr. chidouin instead became his caretaker and embraces that proudly.
so when mr. chidouin dares to ask kai, he's forced to confront the discomfort in his own heart that he'd tucked away and refused to linger on. killing's part of the business, there's no room for regret and you won't make it far if you do, but... hearing the long unheard grief from kai's mouth. something hidden from the only person who could possibly empathize with him, and instead given to the murderer... this desperation to know who he is. it should be perfect, the perfect moment to plant that thought: you're mine. isn't that all that matters? - but it only makes kai retract. & it makes mr. chidouin's heart ache with forgotten remorse.
his mistake is forgetting the value kai weighs each life with. mr. chidouin is unable to envision a world in which that inherent value may tip the scales unfavorably for someone who discards them as pieces. oh, yes, he does acknowledge each life as important - but certain sacrifices must be made.
& yet... while he believes kai's still so naive in this way, he can't find it in himself to blame him.
mr. chidouin was freshly 20 when he pulled the trigger on qingyuè, and he then moved on to meet atsuko & sara as mrs. hiyori dealt with what remained of gashu. he was never forced to deal with the ugly end of death... but kai was exposed too early and thus detached himself. once mr. chidouin - again at fault - wears that wall down... kai realizes he has nothing to grieve, though witness to mr. chidouin's own family, the curiosity aches again to know what only his father knows. (what only mr. chidouin knows.) this desire to mourn and understand who exactly he's grieving never knowing, before he fully accepts the chidouin's as his own with nothing else to linger upon.
it takes patience - but mr. chidouin instead told him: keeping her memory is pointless. (it was nothing but a painful exercise in guilt, that's all he remembers her as before he saw reality as it was. he's saving him. he loves him).
...and when kai's eyes flicker with anger, he truly looks like his mother.

Hello! I stumbled upon your blog, saw Layra, amd immediately wanted to know more about the star bean!
What are some fun facts about her?
Also, have some cookies for you and Layra.
Hey, hi!!:D Thank you very much for your question. It's so nice when someone is interested in learning about your OC. 😌💖Sorry for so much of text, I couldn't stop, phphph-
Thanks for the cookies! Layra happily shares it with you. I imagined it with chocolate chips.🍪
Tumblr media
General facts:
- Layra's voice sounds like Sofia the First's.👸
- When she laughs, it feels like someone is playing on glasses.
- She chose the child form because she is energetic, open, childish and cute. Although psychologically speaking, she behaves and thinks far from like an ordinary child. She can suddenly become very serious and tell you quite wise conscious words.
- Speaking about her awareness, she has it at its best from the very beginning. I wish I had her sense of reality.:"D
- Terrible sweet tooth. She especially likes sweets that would make people's teeth hurt from the amount of sugar in them.🍬🧁
- When she is very excited she begins to vibrate. Like a washing machine at high speed. At the same time, she heats up significantly and starts to shine more. You may think that she begins to look like a mirage in the desert.🏜
- Everyone who has ever heard her sing asks her not to do it again. The sound is certainly very pleasant, but the side effect is that it affects the energy of the people around. And you just sit there and think, “Holy stars, why is this making me feel like I’m on a emotional roller coaster??”. Makes you feel extremely intense emotions.💗
- Very tactile. Her primary love language is touch. Plus, she likes to touch everything around her, especially if it’s something soft, fluffy and warm.🧣
- She has a collection of blankets.
- Always open and honest, can be painfully straightforward.
- Adapts very quickly to the environment, adapting sufficiently to its norms, but always maintaining her core and basic principles. Very useful, since she often deals with inhabitants from different worlds.
Facts about her in Collector Wally AU:
- she often has two roses in her hair, since she accidentally got into the Collector’s pocket dimension and fell on his bushes with roses. A couple of them got stuck in her hair, and when she looked in the mirror she decided that it suited her very well.:D 🌹
- tries to help Helper around the house as best as she can. It doesn't work out very well. He tries to keep her mostly away from dishes and window cleaning. But she cleans the floors very quickly and well. Everything is sparkling all around.🌟
- since she has never had a family relationship before, she does not understand that someone can become attached to her in return, love her or be worried for her. She was very surprised to learn that she is important to Helper and  Collector. But also very happy. :) 💞💗
- When Collector has nightmares, she can drive them away, but for this she needs to be nearby. He doesn’t know that she does this and thinks that she’s just very clingy, finding her next to him in the morning. :"D
- Also, before Helper pointed out that her hair is weird it was like that. Unstable and so beautiful🌌:

Chapter 3

A/N: Bear with me, these next few chapters are just building context for the story later. But we'll see Anakin soon enough.
Tumblr media
It was quiet. The pounding in your head was all you heard. You could taste blood in your mouth, your lips had been split open. Your eyes felt as if they were glued shut, heavy and unmoving as you tried to coax them open. Visions and memories swam through your mind like schools of fish darting between reefs, but nothing made sense. You couldn’t tell if the scenes playing out behind your lids were reality or a nightmare. Each time you tried to grasp onto a memory, it skittered away like a crab into the sand. Finally, with a fierce shake of your head, you managed to force your eyes open. The world was blurry at first, colors bleeding together like paint on a canvas before slowly coming into focus.
The featureless, grey wall loomed before you, its surface scarred by what appeared to be frantic clawing. Chips of rock and chunks of mortar littered the floor below it. You looked around; the walls of the cramped space were barren and bleak. Every other wall was a replica of the one before it, except for where a thin ray of light shone through an opening in the ceiling, providing a beacon of hope that perhaps there was a way out. Squinting your eyes, you could make out the shape of a circular trap door. You felt a sudden rush of adrenaline, and your hands flew up in an instinctive motion, ready to push against the door with force. But you stopped short when your wrists bumped against the thick metal bands that had been clamped around them. The cuffs were dull gray and humming softly like an insidious warning, suppressing your ability to tap into the force.
Your eyes darted around, scanning the barren room for anything, anything that could help. Your mind raced as you spotted a possible escape, but your heart sank when you realized there was no chance of breaking free with what was in sight.
You pounded on the wall below the trap door, hoping someone - anyone - would hear you. But no one came. You felt like you were losing your mind. The feeling of being trapped was suffocating, and you couldn’t bear it any longer.
Just when all hope seemed lost, your fingers brushed against something cold and smooth tucked away in one corner of the room. You spotted the thin metal wire tucked between two rotting wooden planks at the far wall of your cell. With your heart beating wildly in your chest, you crawled across the cold stone floor and grabbed it with both hands. Examining it closely, you saw that each end was crafted into a sharp point. You inserted one of the pointed ends into the keyhole and began to wiggle and jiggle it frantically, praying for a miracle. A loud beeping suddenly broke out through the room, and you nearly dropped the rod out of surprise.
The sound of boots clomping across the floor above you echoed in the darkness. The trap door was slowly lifted, revealing a figure silhouetted by the streaming sunlight.
“You’re finally awake,” he said in a neutral tone. You scrambled to sit up, eyes darting around the small room.
“Where am I?” you asked frantically.
He waved away your comment with a dismissive flick of his wrist. “That doesn’t matter right now,” he said, pointing to your handcuffs. “Those metal cuffs have been modified to detect when you try to tamper with them. They’ll beep and alert us as soon as you start fiddling.”
“Why am I here?”
He shot you a condescending look and replied, “That’s on a need-to-know basis, and you don’t need to know.” He stood up and began shutting the door. You screamed for him to wait but only heard the click of it locking firmly. The sudden darkness plunged like icy water and forced you to your knees as fear crept in.
The cruel, cold steel of the handcuffs dug deep into your wrists, sending a flaming wave of pain up your arms with each tug. The metal shackles chafed and grated against your skin as you fought to escape their vice-like grip. Your muscles and sinew trembled with desperation and fatigue as you lay in the silent darkness, alone with your thoughts. You didn’t know what would happen next.
The expectation of Anakin and Obi-Wan’s arrival filled the air, but as time passed, fear began to manifest in your mind. You glanced around your dark prison cell. It was cold, and you had no idea if they were even coming for you. Your heart sank at the thought of being abandoned here, alone in this darkness forever. You felt a chill run down your spine as you realized that this time, you may be the one playing a losing game of waiting.
...
Desperation clung to you like a heavy blanket as the days and weeks passed. You etched another Roman numeral in the damp wall and curled up on the cold stone floor, feeling more alone than ever. Every night you hoped for rescue, but with each passing day, your hope diminished further. You began to accept that no one was coming for you.
Every day a guard would drop off a meal - an unappetizing slop of stale bread and some watery gruel. The bowl was dirty and smudged with fingerprints, but it made you feel oddly comforted that someone out there still cared enough to keep you alive.
Today was no different. You were lying on the cold, hard, concrete floor, examining a scrawl in the dust. The name looked like someone had hurriedly scratched it into the floor with a fingernail or a piece of broken glass. The first word was written large and capitalized as if to proclaim its importance: Vera. Then the letters began to shrink and… Paak. The next word was difficult to decipher. It might have been here, you thought. Or maybe escape. You wondered if they’d been able to make it out of here…
Despite the despair of your situation, knowing that someone else had been through it gave you hope and inspired you to keep going and not give up.
Your thoughts were interrupted as you heard the old, rusty trap door creak open above. A beam of sunlight shone in the darkness and illuminated the tray of food that had been lowered by a rope into the center of the room. As soon as it touched the ground, you heard a loud thud as the trap door shut once more. You tried to resist the urge to eat the food, but your hunger got the better of you.
That’s when you heard it. A faint scratching sound coming from the wall opposite of you. You crawled over and pressed your ear to the cold, damp stone. The noise was definitely coming from inside the wall. Your heart started to race with excitement as you realized what this could mean.
You found a metal rod and gripped it tightly as you pressed it into the stone wall. You could feel the rough crags scrape at your fingers, but you pushed past the discomfort and focused on what you had to do. Hours blurred by in a flurry of scraping and chipping until, finally, you widened the gap enough for you to squeeze through.
You fit yourself through the tiny opening in the wall and found yourself in a dank tunnel. The walls were slimy with moss, and the air was saturated with the pungent odor of rot and decay. But you welcomed it—it smelled so much sweeter than the stale air of your prison cell. Careful not to make too much noise, you inched forward, navigating through the murky darkness.
Your knees ached from crawling on the cold, wet stone, and you felt a bead of sweat trickle down your forehead. You could feel a faint glimmer of light in the darkness ahead, so you quickened your pace until you finally broke through into a small warehouse-like area. The pungent smell of stale ale filled the air, and beams of light poured through windows high above, illuminating stacks of wooden crates and barrels. On the other wall, there was a single door.
Your gaze swept across the space and landed on two barrels sitting side by side. A deep burgundy hue filled them, and you tentatively reached out to test their temperature. Despite the cold liquid, you grit your teeth and quickly submerge your wrists into it, feeling a chill run through your body. You concentrated intensely as you picked at the locks and heard the faint tinkling of metal on metal through the liquid. After a seemingly endless struggle, the cuffs finally opened. You watched in amazement as they sunk further down into the depths of the barrel, and the ringing noise slowly dissipated.
Your heart raced with excitement as you stood up, surveying your surroundings. The hairs on the back of your neck stood on end, and a cold chill ran down your spine. You had to be brave and keep going if you wanted to escape.
You stepped forward, barely making a sound, each movement calculated and precise. Every inch closer to the door felt like a victory.
As you reached out for the handle, you heard two male voices in conversation just beyond its threshold. You carefully leaned your ear against the wood, straining to listen to what they were saying.
“So when are we going to drop that girl off?” one said.
“Who knows,” sighed the other. “I heard some weirdo wanted us to keep her alive so they could kill her themselves.”
“What’s so special about her anyways?”
“They say she’s a Jedi.”
“More like unwanted baggage to me.”
“Expensive, unwanted baggage. She’ll be buying our way out of this hell hole.”
Your heart pounded in your chest as the horrifying realization sunk in — you were the human shipment. With no time to waste, you gathered every ounce of strength and, with a yell, ripped open the door.
The two men were caught off-guard as you brandished a metal rod, ready to fight for your freedom. The first man lunged at you with a knife and unleashed a flurry of quick strikes. You felt the Force guiding your movements, side-stepping each attack with ease and using a nearby crate as your shield. As the adrenaline coursed through your veins, you focused on his next move, feeling it before it even happened. With one powerful motion, you disarmed him and sent the weapon flying across the room.
You held the metal rod in a trembling hand, pointing it at the two men with the same intensity you used to wield your lightsaber. Sweat beaded on your forehead as you demanded, “Who are you? Why am I here?”
The man you had knocked down scrambled to his feet and glanced nervously at his companion before responding. “We were paid to transport you to a buyer. That’s all we know.”
You didn’t believe them, but you knew time was of the essence. With lightning speed, you lunged forward and slammed the butt end of the rod into both their heads, knocking them unconscious. Adrenaline coursed through your veins as you raced through winding hallways toward freedom.
As you ran through the corridors, fear and confusion rumbled within. Who wanted to capture you? You weren’t a threat to anyone, not even Sith Lords. But this was no ordinary world; nothing ever made sense in a galaxy full of secrets and danger.
You sprinted towards the light at the end of the tunnel, your feet pounding against the earth as you heard the sound of footsteps echoing behind you. You pushed yourself harder, desperate for a chance to get away.
Finally, you felt warm air fill your lungs as you stumbled out into a storage compound filled with a variety of containers and crates. Beyond the platform stood a large ship with people carrying boxes and loading supplies. You turned around and saw a group of men searching for you.
Knowing it was too late to run, you quickly ducked behind a stack of metal containers and hugged your knees to your chest, trying to make yourself as small as possible. Your heart raced in your chest like a wild animal, and every breath felt like sandpaper against your throat. The men’s footsteps grew louder as they didn’t seem to be giving up anytime soon.
You held your breath and tried to control your racing thoughts. You couldn’t afford to be caught again. Not after all you had been through.
As the group of men passed you by, you breathed a sigh of relief. You waited until they were out of sight before emerging from your hiding spot. You took one last look around the storage compound before sprinting towards the ship. Luckily no one spotted you as you entered the seemingly empty vessel.
“That’s all of the cargo. Let’s leave before they notice we took anything extra.”
Your heart raced, and you scanned the room for a place to hide. You spotted an old wooden crate with rusty hinges and grabbed it, yanking frantically at the lid until it opened enough for you to squeeze inside. The voice outside grew closer, their footsteps echoing against the floor, and you held your breath as the shadows stretched across the floor.
“We’re ready when you are captain,” the voice in front of you said. You couldn’t see the captain’s face, but you could hear the smirk in his voice as he responded, “Good, we’re due for a quick turnaround. Let’s get out of here before anyone realizes what we’ve done.”
The sound of footsteps faded away as the ship began to hum with activity. You couldn’t help but feel a sense of relief as the ship lifted off the ground, lifting you away from your captors and towards freedom.
As the ship soared through the galaxy, you sat in the dark, cramped crate, peering through the small cracks in the wood. You couldn’t help but wonder who had orchestrated your kidnapping and why they wanted you so badly. All you knew was that you had to stay hidden and bide your time until you could figure out your next move.
For hours, you sat in the dark, wooden crate, your mind racing with thoughts of escape and revenge. You could feel sweat dripping from your forehead as the ship began to land. The floor shook beneath you, and you heard the sound of men unloading crates outside. Suddenly, the lid of the container creaked open, and a menacing figure appeared. He had a scruffy beard and wore a worn-out leather jacket that seemed almost too heavy for his body. His eyes were deep and dark, and he smiled wickedly as he reached down to grab you. You struggled against him, squirming and wriggling as his firm grip held you tight.
“Let me go!” you shouted, kicking and flailing with all of your might.
“Put her down, Kritz.”
The man’s grip on your arms loosened, and you stumbled back, your palms and knees stinging as they hit the hard surface. You scrambled to your feet, adrenaline coursing through you. You scanned the room, desperately searching for something - anything - that could be used as a weapon. Your abilities, usually strong, felt weak from months of being suppressed. But you managed to use the force to summon a blaster from Kritz’s holster into your hand.
His eyes widened, holding his hands up in surrender.
“Now, where did you come from?” The man, who you assumed was the captain, began eyeing you down. Trying to figure out who you are, he asked, “What’s your name?”
You were taken aback by the inquiry. Your hands trembled around the blaster as you tried to decide if you should divulge your true identity.
You decided not to.
A bead of sweat ran down your forehead as you quickly answered, “Vera!” Trying to keep your voice steady, you realized that if you reveal your actual name, you would be in even more trouble than you already were.
“Vera what?”
“Vera Paak,” you replied with more confidence in your voice.
He hummed, processing your name,” Well miss Paak, it looks like you’ve damaged some stolen goods.”
He pointed to the crate you were cozied up in and noticed the jewels and beads crushed into fine powder. An outline of your body where you lay for hours.
He noticed your panicked expression making him let out a hearty laugh.
“No need to be frightened, child. You can pay me back,” he said with a sly smile on his face.
“How?” the blaster subconsciously lowered.
He looked away in the distance, thinking over what he would like you to do.
“I have some business in another part of the galaxy. You can assist me with the deals I need to make. And in return, your debt will be paid in full.”
“And if I refuse?” you inquired, not believing the words spilling out of his mouth. Your grip on the blaster tightens.
“If you refuse,” he began,” We will take you back to wherever you came from. It would be a shame, though, as your abilities will be useful to me.”
You weighed your options carefully, knowing that you couldn’t just walk away from this situation. If you didn’t agree to work for the captain, you could end up back in the hands of your previous captors or worse.
“Okay,” you finally said, trying to suppress the fear in your voice. “Fine,” you said, putting on a brave face.
The captain’s smile widened, and he nodded his head in approval. “Good choice, Miss Paak. I have a feeling you and I are going to work well together. I’m Hondo, your captain.”
With that, Hondo turned and walked away, leaving you alone to ponder your next move. As you held the blaster in your hand, you realized that you had just taken your first step into a world far more dangerous than anything you had ever experienced before.
But there was no turning back now. You were determined to survive, no matter what it took.
...
You explored the ship, familiarizing yourself with its structure and mechanics. With Hondo as your guide, you navigated the dimly lit corridors of his vessel, meeting the crew members along the way. You passed grunts manning turrets and hovering over consoles, technicians tinkering with circuits and wiring, all of them battle-scarred and hardened by a life of crime.
Hondo briefed you on your first mission - a spice deal to be conducted with a powerful lord on Dathomir. He needed your help to ensure this operation proceeds without any hiccups. He placed his hand on your shoulder and looked deep into your eyes as he spoke: “You’ll be my right-hand woman, Vera, and I’ll teach you everything you need to know.”
You nodded, not really sure what to expect.
“Also, keep a lid on your abilities, kid. No one needs to know I’m playing host to a Jedi. You got me?”
You nodded once. You knew he was right; no use calling attention to yourself with some flashy display of Jedi powers in a den full of crooks and ne’er do wells. Being a Jedi is what got you kidnapped in the first place.
“Excellent. Now, why don’t you go shower and change into something clean? You smell like a Bantha!”
Your cheeks burned with humiliation as the suggestion of a shower hung in the air. You wanted to lash out but instead held your tongue, knowing that being clean and fresh would be worth the indignity. Mud-spattered clothes and an itchy layer of grime had been your reality for months.
You wandered through the unfamiliar corridors, squinting at the signs in search of the washroom. After a few minutes of aimless meandering, you stumbled upon a small, cramped closet-like space. A rickety mirror hung over a rust-stained sink to your left, and a toilet with an unmistakable pungent aroma encased in grime occupied the corner to your right. You wrinkled your nose in disgust as you stepped up to the porcelain bowl.
As you strip off your clothes, you can’t help but feel a twinge of vulnerability. You were alone on a strange ship, surrounded by strangers who were all criminals. If anything were to happen, you would be completely powerless.
Shaking off the thought, you turned on the shower and let the hot water cascade over you. The sensation was both foreign and comforting as if washing away the grime was a symbol of washing away your old life.
Once the water ran cold, you stepped out and began to dress. Your clothes were still dirty, but they were your own, and you felt more like yourself. You would have to find some other things to wear. Maybe when you arrive in Dathomir.
You caught your figure in the mirror. Your hair was wet and disheveled, and a single padawan braid hung behind your ear.
Memories of Anakin and Obi-Wan rushed through your mind, filling you with a bittersweet longing; you missed their banter and teasing and Obi-Wan’s wisdom that always seemed to come when you needed it most. Tears pricked at the back of your eyes at the thought of seeing them again, but you blinked them away and took a deep breath.
You knew you couldn’t dwell on these thoughts for too long; you were here for a reason and had to stay focused on what you needed to do. You couldn’t let your emotions get in the way – not when surrounded by people who would take advantage of any sign of weakness.
Knock. Knock.
“Vera?” Hondo’s voice called out. “Are you about ready? We’re landing on Dathomir soon.”
You took one last look at yourself in the mirror, hiding your padawan braid under your wet mop of hair.
...
As you approached the planet’s atmosphere, the crew grew tense, and Hondo ordered everyone to prepare for landing.
The planet’s surface looked ominous and bleak, with towering rocky spires rising from the ground like jagged teeth. You could feel the tension in the air as the ship set down, and Hondo ordered everyone to grab their gear and follow him.
“You stay close to me,” he said, his voice low and serious. “And remember, only speak when spoken to. Is that clear?”
You nodded, feeling a sense of unease wash over you. You still couldn’t shake the feeling that you had made a grave mistake by joining Hondo’s crew, but it was too late to back out now.
As you followed Hondo and the rest of the crew out of the ship, you felt your senses kick into overdrive. You could sense danger lurking everywhere, and your instincts told you to be on high alert. The buildings around you were dark and foreboding, with a seedy underworld vibe that made your skin crawl.
Hondo led the way through winding alleys and dimly lit streets, the group ever-vigilant for any hidden threats or potential ambushes.
Finally, you arrived at a dilapidated building with a flickering neon sign that read “The merchant.” Hondo motioned for you to follow him inside, and you hesitantly obeyed.
The inside of the building was even more unsettling than the outside. The hazy room was filled with a thick cloud of smoke, making it difficult to take a breath as the strong scent of weed filled the air. The sound of hushed whispers and malevolent laughter echoed through the halls.
Hondo led the way to a back room, where a group of shady-looking individuals sat at a table littered with spice and credits.
“Here’s our spice lord,” Hondo said quietly, gesturing to a rough-looking Twi’lek at the head of the table.
The Twi’lek regarded Hondo with a sneer, eyeing him up and down before speaking.
“What brings you to my humble establishment, Hondo?” he asked, his voice oozing with malice.
Hondo stood before the Twi’lek, his back straight and chest puffed out with confidence. “I’m here to make a deal,” he declared. “I have some merchandise that I think you’ll be interested in.”
The Twi’lek leaned back in his chair, studying Hondo’s face skeptically. “What kind of merchandise?” he asked.
Hondo leaned forward, lowering his voice to a conspiratorial whisper as he spoke. “The highest quality spice you’ve ever laid your eyes on. And we’ve got plenty of it.”
A spark of interest lit up the Twi’lek’s eyes, and he leaned forward, eager for more details. “You have my attention,” he said. “But how can I trust that your merchandise is as good as you claim it to be?”
Hondo smiled, reaching into his pocket and producing a small pouch filled with red-brown powder. He tossed it onto the table, and the Twi’lek seized it eagerly. He opened the pouch, sticking his finger in before licking the substance off.
He hummed in approval.
Hondo chuckled. “I told you that you wouldn’t be disappointed.”
Hondo and the merchant across from him were locked in what felt like a battle of wits. The air was electric, eyes flashed back and forth, and each word they spoke seemed to carry more weight than the last. You could sense both men’s determination – Hondo’s to make this deal as profitable as possible and the merchant’s to drive it as low as he could afford.
The trading went on for what felt like an eternity until, finally, the two men made their agreement, and Hondo’s crew set about unloading the crates of spice from their ship.
“Why did you need me for that?” you asked him as you observed the crew unload massive wooden crates, each filled to the brim with sackfuls of precious spice.
Hondo placed his gloved hand on your shoulder and gave it a reassuring squeeze. “You were there just in case things got hairy.”
You eyed him skeptically. He assumed you understood what he meant—if violence was required, you would be expected to participate.
He noticed your scrutinizing gaze and hastily added, “Relax, we’re not savages. You’ll just be...encouragement.”
You furrowed your brows in disbelief. “I don’t even know what that means. I’m not going to kill anyone. If you ask me to, I won’t do it.”
He chuckled, his warm hands squeezing your shoulders as he spoke. “You’ll find that you sometimes have to do what’s necessary to save yourself.” You scowled at him, but he just waved off your protest. He reached into the pocket of his robe and handed you a few credits. “Here,” he said, “go get yourself some new clothes. You look like you got attacked by a gundark.” His lips twitched in a hint of a smile.
What was it with him and insulting you? Before you could say anything back, he walked off to the rest of the crew.
“Careful! You spill any of that, and I’ll have your head,” Hondo shouted.
Cradling the small bag of credits in your hands, you made your way through the bustling streets of Dathomir. Obscure and disorienting alleys wound around like befuddling paths in a maze with no beginning or end, and you had to stay alert for the unsavory characters that lurked around every corner. You felt both insignificant and exposed as your plain, beaten-up clothing didn’t help to camouflage your presence.
A bit further down the street, you noticed a weathered storefront that looked semi-trustworthy. You cautiously stepped inside, and the shopkeeper glanced up at you from behind a counter. He sized you up before gesturing to a rack of clothing with an expressionless face.
His voice was like gravel, and he had a cruel glint in his eye as he said gruffly, “Take your pick. But make it quick.”
You quickly browsed through the rack of clothes, feeling relieved to be out of your old attire but guiltily aware of why you were here on this foreign planet—dealing with criminals who seemed to sense your inner turmoil.
You paused at a particularly nice pair of boots, admiring the sleek design and craftsmanship, when suddenly you felt a warm breath on the back of your neck. You stiffened, fear clenching around your heart as a disembodied voice spoke in your ear, “Well, well, well, what do we have here?”
You spun around to face a towering humanoid figure with a sharp-toothed grin plastered across its face.
He stepped closer, a smirk on his lips as he reached out. His calloused fingers grazed your cheek with unexpected tenderness, and you suddenly felt the heat of his breath against your skin. You shuddered in revulsion, tightening your jaw and gritting your teeth, pushing down the anger that was quickly beginning to take over.
You tried to break free from his grasp, but he only smiled wider. “Don’t be like that,” he said softly. “I just want to get to know you better.”
Your pulse raced as you shoved him away with all your might. He stumbled back, barely catching himself before tumbling to the ground. Your heart pounding in your chest, you took a step back. “Stay away from me!” you shouted, balling your fists at your sides.
The man only chuckled, amusement gleaming in his eyes. “Feisty,” he said with a sly grin. “Maybe we can have some fun together.”
He lunged for you, wrapping his strong hands around your wrists and yanking your body back against his. His grip was like iron as he dragged you closer, your pleas for help ignored by the bustling bystanders.
You thrashed against him, desperately trying to break free from his grasp. But the more you struggled, the tighter he held you, his fetid breath hot on your neck.
“Let me go!” you shouted, mustering all the strength you could find within yourself.
But he laughed, his fingers digging painfully into your skin. “Relax, baby,” he rasped, “I just want to have some fun.”
Without thinking twice, you slammed your heel down hard onto the man’s instep, eliciting a sharp yelp of pain. In that moment of weakness, you spun around and landed an aggressive kick to the man’s groin with all the force you could gather. He doubled over in agony as you pushed him away from you and broke into a run.
You sprinted through the crowded marketplace, dodging people and weaving between stalls as quickly as possible. Sweat trickled down your face and dripped from your forehead as adrenaline raced through your veins.
You felt the man’s weight pinning you to the ground, a sinister grin spreading across his face. He was bigger and stronger than you, and you were powerless against him. His hand clamped down on your mouth as he whispered in your ear, sending shivers of fear coursing through your body. His sour breath made you gag, and his rancid smell seemed to fill the air around you.
Your eyes darted towards his waist, and you saw the glint of silver - the handle of a dagger. Summoning all your strength, you reached into his pocket and grabbed the knife, hands shaking with fear. You closed your eyes and dug the blade into his neck - just once - feeling it slice through his skin before he slumped over. The ground beneath you turned red with blood, and you felt sickened by what had happened.
You had killed him.
The man’s body went limp and heavy on top of you, and the sticky heat of his blood seeped through your clothes as it pooled between you. A lump welled up in your throat as you struggled to process what had just happened. You remained there for a few moments, not wanting to move in case this was all some horrible nightmare.
When you finally mustered up the courage to push him away from you, you stumbled back, tripping over your own feet and bumping into the walls in the dark corner. Your eyes were wide with shock, tears threatening to escape. The reality of the situation hit like a ton of bricks, and you felt sick to your stomach. You could hardly believe that your hands were covered in someone else’s blood.
You shook your head, trying to rid yourself of the guilt-ridden thoughts that kept creeping into your mind. Despite what he deserved, taking another’s life isn’t part of the Jedi way. It’s not who you are. But here you were - a killer.
Your grip tightened on the dagger as you quickly ran off towards the ship, eager to escape this hellish place.
Hondo watched you with horror as he noticed your face and clothes stained with blood.
“What did you do?” He asked, his voice filled with dread.
But you ignored his questions speeding past the beady eyes of the crew and captain. Each person moved out of your way, noticing your far-off look and the bloody dagger you still held on to.
You dashed to the bathroom and cranked the handle of the shower all the way to the left. You stepped in, clothes and all, letting the scalding water wash over you. Steam rose around you as if it were a protective shield from your thoughts.
You needed to get clean.
The blood cascaded down your face, hands, and clothes into a crimson river down the drain. You stayed there for a while, letting the scalding stream purify away the guilt and regret of what you had done. When finally, when the water had stopped running, you stepped out, looking in the mirror. You still looked the same, but a different person stared back at you.
Your padawan braid stood out, a loud reminder of who you were. You took the dagger, placing it next to the root of your hair, cutting it off.
You held the severed braid out in front of you and stared at it. What you were doing wasn’t the Jedi way, and you couldn’t go back as a killer. You would be punished.
They wouldn’t understand.
You tucked it away in the pocket of your robes, a reminder of who you once were. Realizing that your future was going to be much different from what you wanted it to be.
You walk away from the washroom. You were no longer a Jedi.

The Perfect Girl (Part 4)
Tumblr media
Part 1 - Part 2 - Part 3
TW: drugs, mention of miscarriage (not reader’s though), curse words, silly grammar mistakes ‘cause English is not my first language.
Notes: “A wizard is never late, nor is he early. He arrives precisely when he means to.” said Gandalf once. Are you excited for vol.2? This chapter is all conversation but it will pay off, I promise.  Also, it goes without saying but check out the songs mentioned down below, they are great. Thank you so much for reading!
It's common knowledge that you can't scream inside your head. It's your own brain manipulating you into believing that your thoughts have a volume you can turn up, but the truth is that there is no sound at all.
So why did Y/N felt like she would go deaf by the sound of the grandfather clock behind Eddie, when she knew it wasn't really there.
She knew, right?
She just saw a teenage boy floating up in the air the day before. It seemed like she couldn't trust the things she thought to obviously be true. But then, that meant she could only trust her senses.
And the damned clock was there.
She could see it, and she could certainly hear it.
So what did it matter whatever Max had said about Vecna's illusions?
Why was that an illusion and not Chrissy's death? Did that mean she would end up like her friend? Like Patrick?
If they saved Max, they could save her too, right?
What was her favorite song?
"Earth to Y/N!" Eddie exclaimed moving his hand in front of her face. "There you are, are you okay?"
The girl looked at him like she had just smoke the biggest joint ever.
She put her hands on his shoulders and remained there a second too long, staring at the spot where her skin ended and his jacket began.
That was real, right? Y/N couldn't see it, but Eddie was escaping the stare of his new friends like it was the plague. He looked at the trees and then searched for an invisible bird in the sky. She could, however felt his body tense when she finally gave him a hug.
Well, 'hug' has more like a poetic ring to it, it's ambitious, it got an intention. In reality, the cheerleader just threw herself into the boy's arms and let a sob that progressively became a scream of lament.
The others understood.
They all understood what it was to have reality turn upside down in a matter of hours.
Max understood what it was to have someone you care for die in front of you a a bizarre death. She even knew what it was to think you got your days counted. And yet the others understood that she needed Eddie's hug.
Just like the boy needed her touch to convince himself he wasn't guilty of surviving Chrissy, she needed his to convince herself that it wasn't a nightmare and therefore or despite that, she wasn't alone.
Eddie didn't know what to say, nor what to do. He hushed her softly.
There were moments like that, when he realized he was just a kid deep inside. That all he wanted to do was play D&D with his friends and smoke a joint and perhaps if he had the courage, ask a pretty girl out to a concert or maybe to hang out in the abandoned cabin in the woods if he couldn't sell anything that day.
Eddie knew since he was little that life was unfair, he shouldn't have dare to ask how unfair it could get.
He had to be strong, though. If Harrington could do it, hell -if Wheeler and Henderson were into this mess, he had to be there for them.
"I'm sorry, I'm better now." said Y/N with a dry voice before pulling apart from the boy.
"It's... cool" Eddie raised his hands.
"We've brought you some chips." Nancy extended a yellow bag "sorry we didn't have money to--"
"Fuck yeah, Wheeler" he released half a laugh, half a sigh in relief "Thank you so much, you could've brought me shit and I'll still eat it, I'm starving!"
"Oh..."the former student frowned trying to be polite "yeah, no problem."
For a moment, all that was heard was Eddie munching on the chips, and Dustin pacing around with his compass and his map murmuring something incomprehensible.
"What are you saying now, Henderson?" Steve asked a bit annoyed but also worried.
"It's impossible, it can't be."
"What's impossible?" asked Max.
"Steve's right the compass is wrong."
"Oh, that's music to my ears." Steve said.
"Is that all you care, huh? Being right?"
"Wait a minute, you didn't left your compass next to a magnet all night, did you?" asked Lucas.
"No..." the boy with a hat suddenly stopped pacing around and shared a look with the young basketball player.
"Okay, so the compass is wrong, I'm right. So what? We should be focusing on Vecna--"
"So what?" repeated Dustin exasperated "If you were more worried about your education rather than just making out with Nancy, you would have known that compasses don't go wrong just because, Steve!"
"Hey!" The eldest Wheeler exclaimed embarrassed.
"The last time it happened, the compasses guided us to the Hawkins National Laboratory."
"But it can't be, right?" Mike asked. "The gate is closed."
"So it means there is another gate open" said Nancy.
"Where Vecna gets out" added Robin.
"And what if..." began Dustin. "... every time Vecna attacks, he opens another gate?"
"Wait--" Eddie frowned confused.
"Then the nearest one would be in the Lover's Lake." informed Y/N.
"Wait a minute, is anyone gonna explain what the fuck is going on?" almost yelled the Dungeon Master.
The younger teenagers shared a knowing look.
"We'll explain everything along the way, we're going to the Lover's Lake." said Dustin. "Are you in?"
Eddie sat down next to his stuff contemplating his answer.
"Hey, hey, hey." stopped them Steve "Munson is still a wanted man, we can't just go for a hike in the woods!"
"Well we gotta stop Vecna somehow." said Lucas.
"I say you're asking me to follow into Mordor" observed Eddie "which -I'm totally straight with you, I think is a really bad idea. But ah... the shire... the shire is burning" he stood up "so Mordor it is."
"What's Mordor?" Y/N could barely hear Steve whispered to himself.
-------------------------------------------------------
"...and so we almost lost Max." Concluded Dustin.
"Shit, that's... man, that's a lot" said Eddie while they walked towards the lake.
"It was easier when we had Eleven." commented Mike.
"Yeah, it was" nodded Max.
"Who's Eleven?" asked Munson.
"She's our friend and she has superpowers." explained Dustin once more. "Can't wait for you two to meet her and Will. Oh, you're so gonna like Will."
"Wait--" interrupted the metalhead. "When you say superpowers... you mean like...?"
"Oh, no -yeah, definitely, she can levitate stuff and shit. She's so cool."
Eddie went to look at Y/N in confusion, only to find her leading the way alone, lost in her thoughts.
"I know that look." sighed Dustin.
"What are you talking about?"
"For fuck's sake, Eddie. You're like days away from being search by the whole State, we're literally killing a monster from another dimension and you still manage to fall in love!" whispered the boy with the hat "Teenagers, huh?"
"I don't know what you're talking about, Henderson."
"Oh come on, man." Lucas entered the conversation.
"You didn't ask her out, yet?" added Max exasperated.
"I-" frowned Eddie. "I don't... like her?"
"Is that a question?" Mike raised his eyebrows.
"No? We-- we've been through a lot together, that's it."
"Is that why you're walking up to her?" asked Dustin.
"No!" Yelled the Dungeon Master leaving the youngest of the group behind.
By the time Eddie got to her, his hands became sweaty. He just wanted to be by her side, but he didn't know what to talk about.
He was right. They went through a lot together. All they seem to share was a couple of traumatic experiences and weed.
What if she didn't want to talk about it?
He didn't have weed on him, what else did he have to offer?
"Y/N..." he began.
What if she associated him with all the bad stuff that ever happened to her?
Could he blame her for it?
He would leave her if that meant she got out of trouble. Could he?
"Hmm? Yeah?" slowly blinked Y/N.
"I-- I forgot what I was about to say." He smiled shyly and so did the girl. "Penny for your thoughts?"
"Oh..." Y/N looked at the path in front of them. "I was just thinking... you know, about life... do you?"
"Do I what?" he opened his eyes confused.
"Do you think about life in general?"
"Sometimes... always? Especially when it's three in the morning and I ran out of beer, I guess."
Y/N smiled amazed that she could relate so much to someone that until a month ago was a complete stranger.
"I think about it a lot, especially since we’ve met."
"Do you? I mean-- why? Not that it isn't cool, it's totally fine if you--"
"Stop! You're rambling" she managed to giggle.
"Sorry."
"It's okay. I mean, I knew my world was going to collapse the moment I find myself staring at your Ozzy Osbourne creepy poster, but I never thought it would led me to this."
"Sorry again." He began to think that running away from Henderson was a bad idea.
"No! Don't be." She stared at him worriedly. "I-- I know-- I-- I'm having the time of my life, Eddie."
"What?"
"Maybe I'm still in denial and I cannot fully comprehend what has happened at the Lover's Lake, and I cannot start to fully miss Chrissy either because there's a part of me that still believes she will be at our next sleepover -but in the meantime, I learned so much. What is like to have a solid group of friends and have a nice time, and I have to thank you for that."
"Yeah, well..." Eddie searched for the right words. "I thought cheerleaders were boring"
"No way, did I change Eddie Munson's opinion on cheerleaders?"
"You wish. Cheerleaders are boring, but you're not, by the way."
"Oh that's charming." He covered his face with his hands and looked elsewhere. "I thank you for our friendship and I get a 'you're not boring, by the way'?" Y/N put a hand on her chest, a gesture she learned from the boy.
"I only have a bag of chips on my stomach, alright?"
They laughed and the conversation stopped.
They looked like they were sharing an silent understanding of each other conscience. But they weren't, because all Y/N felt was guilt about talking with the boy.
She didn't know if she was going to die, but if she were -she felt like she was stealing Eddie's future happiness by her selfish desire of having a last laugh.
He didn't need that.
He didn't need to know.
He would eventually, but he didn't need that burden right now.
No when all was so knew to him.
Hopefully she would be worrying in vain, but she didn't want to worry the others in vain when they had such a responsibility.
"You know..." Y/N broke the silence. "I've always meant to ask you what's the name of that Cure cassette you have."
"Kiss me, Kiss me, Kiss me?"
"Is that what is called or..." she raised her eyebrows.
"Yes it is called like that!" He gasped audibly "Why are you suddenly so upfront, is this what you get from hanging around Harrington?"
'Because there's literally nothing else I could loose' she thought.
"Are you jealous?"
"Why would I--" he pinched his nose in frustration. "Are you looking for more Cure stuff to listen to?"
"No... well maybe -I mean they're cool. But I wanted that cassette because I miss listening to The Perfect Girl."
"Ugh... such a good song!" Eddie yelled. "You're such a strange girl, I think you come from another world..."
"Right? I think it's my favorite song."
"Nice choice."
"What's yours?""
My favorite song... I don't know..." he thought for a moment. "Fuck, I think I forgot all the songs in the world." Y/N giggled. "Can I say The Perfect Girl?" asked Eddie.
"Of course not!"
"Well in that case, do you happen to know Alice Cooper?"
"Can't say I had the pleasure, no."
"He has this song 'School's out', such a headbanger. Can't wait for you to listen to it."
"Yeah, me neither."
"Dude, what if we're going back to town?" Robin suddenly asked loudly.
"We're not." assured Nancy.
"But what if we are" insisted the blonde girl. "It's already nighttime and we've arrived nowhere."
"We would've hit the road." said Mike.
"Relax, we've been walking this place for years." said Lucas.
"Yeah, Eleven used to live in a cabin more to the left." added Max
"To the north, you mean." corrected Dustin.
"Whatever, nerd."
"Aha! There it is!" yelled Steve at seeing the end of the forest. "Goddamn, I feel like Alexander The Great or some shit, fuck yeah."
"Alexander The Great?" asked Nancy confused.
"The one that discovered America?"
"That's not--"
"Don't bother, Y/N." interrupted her Dustin. "It's a lost cause."
"I'm right here, you know?." said Steve.
"Yeah, I know."
The sudden space of the clearing, made Y/N feel the familiar pain in her head. Or maybe it was because she remembered running away in shock. Or Patrick's deformed face.
Now all it was left was the moon illuminating the lake and a cold feeling in her bones that made her shiver.
Did the authorities find the body?
"Look there's a boat. We're all set." announced Mike.
"There's room for four people." calculated Steve.
"I'll go, I know the way." informed Eddie getting on the boat.
"You're not going alone." said Y/N while sitting next to him.
"I'll go with you" said Robin. "What? You haven't heard what happened to that couple in this lake like a century ago?"
"We're not--"
"I'm going too." said Nancy rolling her eyes.
"Right so we wait for you and--" began Max.
"I'm going too." announced Steve with a smile.
"What? But you've just said four people!" exclaimed Dustin with frustration.
"Oops. I lied." Steve said sitting on the boat and pushing it towards the center of the lake.
Steve and Y/N rowed and that was all that was heard for a while.
"I think... I think it was here." Y/N said out of breath.
"Do you need some help with that?" asked Robin but the cheerleader denied it with her head.
She knew for a fact that Steve and her were the only ones that had a muscle in their body.
"Yeah... maybe try more to the left?" Eddie squinted his eyes. "I don't know man, it all looks the same."
"You were the first to get in the boat saying you knew the way." sighed Nancy frustrated .But the boy shrugged dramatically.
"Well, technically we're here." the cheerleader put the oar aside.
"Great, so now what? I can't see anything" said Robin.
"Now" explained Steve while he clumsily stood up and took out his shirt "I go down and check out if Henderson's stupid compass is broken for real or if there's a gate."
"What? No!" Exclaimed Nancy.
"Have you lost your mind?" asked Y/N.
"Don't worry about it. I'll go check it and be right back. It won't take me more than -what? thirty seconds? If I'm not back by then, get out of here."
"What do you mean--" began Eddie but he got interrupted by Steve moving the boat by jumping into the water.
They got silent after that.
Nobody would admit it but they were all counting inside their heads at a different pace.
Y/N wanted to count to thirty and see his friend, or just curse to the sky, tell the universe she was right and call for the others. At that point anything would be better than waiting in the middle of the night in a poor old boat, in the place that brought her so many memories.
A sudden splash startled the teenagers.
"I- It's there, it's there" Steve repeated out of breath.
"Steve, are you okay?" asked Y/N and he nodded.
"The gate is there. It's pretty damn big--""And then in a blink of an eye, he disappeared to the bottom of the lake with a violent speed that made the others scream.
"OH MY GOD, STEVE!" yelled the cheerleader.
"FUCK WHAT ARE WE GONNA DO?" also yelled Eddie.
"Why is he alwa-- whoa, whoa, whoa -Nance what are you doing?" Robin asked her friend who was already taking her jacket off.
"I'm going in." she plainly said.
"Wheeler that's the worst idea you could have." commented Eddie.
"See ya."
"WAIT NANCY NO--" Screamed Y/N but it was too late as the boat moved again from side to side when the girl disappeared into the water.
"Fuck!" exclaimed Robin "Fuck, fuck, fuck!"
"Hey, they'll be back--" began the Hakwins sweetheart trying to smile in vain.
"No, they won't!" answered the blonde girl with anxiety on her voice "They won't and I'm so fucking tired of these people playing heroes all the time!"
"They--"
"I'm going in." she concluded.
"What?" Eddie asked as confused as Y/N.
"They won't be able to win a fight on their own, they'll need me."
"Wait, Robin. Can we talk about---"
But again the boat moved and the blonde girl was gone.
"I hate this place so much" Y/N put her face in her hands and closed her eyes tiredly.
Whenever she did, she began to feel dizzy. No matter how many problems may had arise, how many nice conversations she could have with her new friends or how many joints she could smoke with Eddie, the throbbing headache was always there, as a reminder that she couldn't escape the future nor the past.
"I can- you can go to the shore and I'll return here for the others, if you want." the metalhead suggested.
She looked at him and smiled.
She realized he was the only one who could get her to do that, even in the worst place at the worst time.
What an effect he had on her.
It was crystal clear what she had to do.
"You know..." she began "When we stopped talking -it wasn't the weed what I missed the most. Nor our daily music sessions, although I did miss them a lot "she grinned "I -I may sound crazy but I missed when you used to invite me to your D&D campaigns."
"You... did?" Eddie raised his eyebrows.
"Yeah..." she looked at the moon "You knew I don't get all your nerd stuff and you still wanted me in and I never had that. It was so scary and now, look at us, huh? We survived death who-knows-how-many times."
"It all looks so different, does it." The cheerleader looked at him again.
"It does.” she smiled. ”Anyway, I wanted to say sorry."
"It's okay, I get--"
"I'm sorry, Eddie but I'm going in."
"What?"
"You don't have to--"
"No, no, no, no. You" he pointed at her with his index finger "You're not going in, Y/N."
"I am. We don't know what they are going through in the other side--"
"Exactly! It's a TERRIBLE IDEA!"
"I can't just sit here doing nothing but being selfish!" she stood up and made sure she had one layer of clothes.
"So you'll go and kill yourself? I don’t know but that’s sounding pretty selfish to me!"
"I'm so sorry, Eddie. I always seem to ruin everything." she grimaced.
"Y/N NO!"
She took a long breath and dove into the cold water.
All her senses suddenly woke up, the adrenaline running through her veins made all the pain go away.
She opened her eyes and almost could make the shape of some rocks thanks to the moonlight.
Then she saw it.
A red light that wasn't coming from the sky. She felt her lungs starting to sting so she swam towards the gate hoping she made the right choice.

Here I am again in need to get some things out of my swirling fucked up head about Jensen...
Firstly, His greed. He has upped his convention fee by at least $50. At Crossroads 6 a Photo was £150 and an autograph was £95. His price for Purcon 2024 is €200 per photo and auto. $219.74c (£176.78p)
In the meantime, it seems Jared is dropping his prices to make sure EVERYONE has a chance to meet him. I think Jensen has lost touch with reality and thinks he can justify this because he's popular and has a bigger fan base. This is unfortunately what happens when too many people blow smoke up your ass and putting you on a never ending praise pedestal, you start believing all the hype! 😔
Someone needs to sit him down and bring him back down to planet earth!
Secondly, From what I've seen of last night's Family Reunion event all I can say is WOW! It looked like a total rip-off!! 1K per membership for what exactly? A free glass, a free bottle of beer and a photo plus some other minor freebies?
Jensen spent most of the night it seems hiding away from his fans behind the bar again or in the tap room getting his photo taken. He only ventured out to say Hello, Thank you & Goodbye, why does he refuse to mingle with the paying patrons? I would have been greatly disappointed if I had attended.
My God, he saw these gullible fans coming from miles away and fleeced them hard that's for sure. That's what annoys me, taking advantage of people.
There was no singing, Steve wasn't even there so why was the Brewery even advertising RC might play? to get more $$$ that's why. 😡
To be honest, the way Jensen was drinking last night I don't think he could have sung even if he wanted too.
Also, something else I noticed there has been no photos of fans with him? Very strange.
It feels like every time I hear another Jensen story my heart sinks a little more and another chip of respect falls away, this is not the Jensen I admired respected supported and was proud of from 4yrs ago, where has that man gone? I'm pining for him to come back to us because this egotistical arrogant money hungry Jerk before us is not him! This man is what I'm now referring to as Hurt-Crying out for help/attention- Douchbag- Functioning alcoholic Dean! I feel the line is no longer blurred he's losing his own identity (hiding) so fast it's scary! I love Dean Winchester because he's not real but If Jensen is turning into him in real time that's very alarming to me. I just hope he either seeks professional help or he has good friends around him when he finally crashes and burns from whatever is going on with him because it's clear he can not count on his wife to support him in times of despair for comfort.
I'm sorry if any of this offends anyone reading it's just how my heart feels right now.😔

Ok but ever since uselesswaiphu watched Lain Serial Experiments and pointed out that Lain and c!Karl are similar to one another I’ve been meaning to like put this all out:
( Of course Lain spoilers ahead but the whole series is on YouTube if interested. Warning for triggering topics such as: committing the die + shooting + violence )
Both are beings (at least in canon-fanon for Karl) that are given bodies despite being non-physical, metaphorical beings that never had a human form nor a taste of humanity that we know of beforehand.
Both are orchestrated by a higher being, in Lain’s case by an organization (which I’m pretty sure are the Knights of the Eastern Calculus but I could be wrong) and in Karl’s case by Dream XD and potentially more seeing how the In Between was able to corrupt (or was manipulated in some sort of way whether by XD himself or something else) but still the point stands.
As they’re trying to navigate society and socialization after being so suddenly created, they come off as awkward though they’re on the different sides of being more vocal or being more quiet. This could also just be a case of personality differences and once again more fanon-canon on Karl’s part since he was getting used to streaming again and all.
From here we can probably break down how XD/the TFTSMP adventures and the organization started to break down Karl and Lain bit by bit until it they reached a breaking point of sorts. For Lain it started with the Cyberia shooting, the event not only revealing her Wired self and manipulating a mind chip in the shooter’s brain to commit suicide, but also imposing a memory wipe of the event for herself leaving her stuttering Alice’s name while looking lost and confused.
In Karl’s case, the Town that Never Was was a taste of what was to come. The fact that he was unable to save people in the past from dying and instead had to witness echoes of his friends and partners die in front of him over and over again hit the nail in the coffin for him. He was nothing but a bystander watching the events play out unable to change to do much to change the outcome. Not to mention he was left disoriented and confused when he returned to the In Between.
All the while both Lain and Karl had to try and balance their life away from the Wired / back in the DSMP. The events orchestrated by the organization + the conflicts on the servers only started to tip them further and further, albeit a lot more for Lain in comparison to Karl but still significant.
As both start to get a better understanding of the Wired / the In Between, conflicts outside of those places begin to interfere with their reality (the strange events orchestrated by people in the Wired + the Black Knights (?) and the interference of the Egg from the Masquerade + Eggpire). Lain became more secluded and invested in the Wired, Karl became more wary of the people around the SMP.
But let’s move onto something that I broke down a little bit more when it was presented: the people who were close and reminded Lain and Karl of their inherit humanity of being a physical being.
In Lain’s case her humanity was personified in her friend Alice: someone out of her friend group that actually cared and included her in any outings compared to the other two “friends.”
In Karl’s case his humanity can be argued to be by the other server members but we can take it a step further and say Sapnap and Quackity were his forms of humanity representing the soul, mind, and heart.
Despite both hurting the people they care for intentionally or unintentionally (Other Lain revealing Alice’s crush on the teacher + Karl forgetting Q and acting on his whims from memory loss)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I could talk about this maybe a bit more but this is the good meat of the comparisons and parallels.
While we saw the ending of Lain turn out to become bittersweet, we have yet to see where Karl’s journey ends. For now we can only wait in the present for the future.

Just Come Kiss Me and Bite Me (Pt.1)
Summary:
Sami had no trouble with Jey, who is half-vampire, half-human, and, of course, his boyfriend. At times, the tension of thirst drifts between them, which they can't deny even if they're far away.
Also posted on AO3 here.
Other WWE fics and samijey/jeysami fics are posted on my WWE masterlist here.
Read part two here.

__________
In all honesty, vampire situations aren't shocking to Sami.
Confused stares and questions are thrown, curious as to why he isn't scared of vampires, before receiving a retort, "None of your business." Nobody needed to know. Not all vampires are dangerous and bloodthirsty.
His boyfriend, Jey, is recognized by others as ordinary, but in reality, he has a secret Sami notice: half-vampire and half-human. Ask him. Flick of the tongue, unapologetic, its truth unseen.
To their experience, yes, it's one hell of a struggle over one place: Sami's house.
Leaving the bathroom in a black hoodie, draped in a navy t-shirt—and sweatpants, Sami's lips curled a smile. Relaxed, legs crossed while reclining on the couch, Jey's gaze mirrored an exchanged affection glint in their eyes, blooming Sami's heart. He couldn't help wanting his hands to caress Jey's face, though his mind reminded him of self-control.
"Ay, baby," Jey said with a grin stretching his face, revealing the fangs. "Where are you goin'?"
"To the store. Kev's picking me up since I don't feel like driving." Sami approached the couch as Jey swung his legs, offering to sit beside him. He did so, positioning Jey's legs onto his lap. "I'll pick up your blood packet after we get everything needed. You haven't drunk any all day."
"I thought you'd gotten those groceries like, what, six days?"
"Yeah, but someone had the fridge open. One of the juices was half-filled yesterday."
Jey stifled a huff. "C'mon, you lookin' like I'm the one to blame. Ask KO."
"He wasn't here."
"Y-Yea, he was! He snuck in and took some chips!"
"Kevin never eats chips." Sami chimed, brow arched in suspension. "The last time I saw the chips, some crumbs were left on the floor. It ain't him, so who was it?"
Averting his gaze with lips pursed, Jey mumbled other excuses, much to Sami's amusement. Sami had to giggle. He couldn't hold back the smile, adored the witness of him squirming while losing the bet each time.
He took a glimpse into Jey's eyes, no crimson hue. Good, at least it would've been often due to abstaining from a packet of blood. The fact he shrugged the drawbacks in a breeze astonished yet worried Sami. Six hours, no, six days since Jey refused to drink blood, sometimes awhile behind his back.
"You aight?"
Jey's voice rang, forcing Sami to whip his head and glance at him. His hand cradled Jey's cheek. "Sorry. You okay when I'm gone, right?"
"I'll be fine." Jey planted soft kisses on the palm; warmth relaxed his body. "Wantin' you when you come back," he murmured.
"Don't worry," Sami said. "I'm good at getting in curfews on time. But mostly," A teasing smile played between his lips, "I couldn't wait to get my hands on you."
Jey chuckled. "Then how 'bout we do it now? No need givin' me a packet."
Sami sighed, eyebrows knitted. "You need it, Jey. What would happen if— if you lost control without blood longer than any day and went berserk? Still human, still eating like one, but being a vampire is a part of you, too. You can't just deny and neglect the other side in one snap."
He hated disclosing the truth; disgusted, hell, panicked him if Jey ignored, though bowed to fate. Suffering is enough, nothing more, nothing less. Sami didn't need an image of Jey in an uncontrollable state; joy as a vampire and a human with freedom is what he wished.
"Maybe…" Jey trailed off a moment, then continued. "Maybe you're right. But I wish… I wish I could be human; no vampire shit, no bloodsuckin' every twenty-four-seven."
"And yet, you're doing great throughout your life," Sami assured him. "Human, vampire, anything apart, I don't care as long as you live like you want. If others judge you for being a vampire, screw them. You ain't dangerous—you're you, a good person."
"Dammit, man." With a mumble, he sat up with his voice quivering, pulling Sami into an embrace. Both never let go. "You tryna make me cry or somethin'?"
"I had to. But deep down," Sami whispered, "I am proud of being your boyfriend. You'll always be my amazing man in the world."
Jey lifted his head, eyes sparked. "M'yo favorite half-vampire, half-human boyfriend in the world?"
"No doubt!" Sami beamed, giving him a quick smooch on the lips. "Gotta go, okay?"
"Promise?"
"I promise."
Both released their hug, though neither wanted to be separated. Sami stood off the couch and strolled to the door, took a glimpse over his shoulder at Jey; love, affection—then another word became bleak in his mind. A tingle crept down his spine and marked an unnoticeable trace between them before Sami opened the door, leaving the house with a question.
What was this feeling?
__________
Sami has a habit of saying thank you to Kevin. It sounded somewhat cliché, and neither cared—until he kept his mouth shut, though that was too much.
They went back to the car after getting groceries in their hands at the store, receiving the blood packet from another store, rare to search. Several months back, Kevin helped when Sami explained the whole story, aware of the toll of stress within. He saw the worry glint in Sami's eyes, the thought of him and Jey never seeing eye to eye due to personality differences.
Sami wondered if they wouldn't; fights occurred any moment whenever Kevin argued first, while Jey argued back in a playful atmosphere. Brother figures, yet never curled their fists along with foolish grins stretched their faces.
Good thing Kevin got his and Jey's back till now.
"Thank you," he repeated in a hushed tone, couldn't help smiling.
Ears perked, Kevin looked at him. "For the two hundred and tenth time, you're welcome. Gotta give you a new record." he joked.
Sami hummed in a cheerful response.
"By the way, how is he?"
His expression became brooded, afraid to tell Kevin about earlier with Jey. "He's doing… good."
Flickering images of Jey drifted in his thoughts due to the same unnoticed tingle; his hands grazed his skin along his gruff voice whispered in his ear. Why is he visualizing him now? Sami did not have the faintest idea what it was.
Would be wise to keep the secret to himself.
"Earth to Sami? Hello?"
Sami's eyes darted at Kevin, startled. "I'm fine," he stammered. "I'm fine, I'm good."
"Doesn't look like you are. Weird trances, lying your ass off, which is what you're currently doing." Kevin pointed out in a calm tone. "Yeah, something's going on after picking you up twenty minutes ago."
"Nothing is going on. Seriously, it's— it's fine. I'm fine, you're fine, we're all fine. Perfectly healthy, perfectly—"
"Sami!" Kevin grasped his shoulders, gaze hardened. "Deep breaths, you're overreacting. Calm down."
Doing what he told, Sami took some time inhaling, exhaling, and soothing the pounding heart in his chest. He settled a few minutes later, ready to continue.
"Good. Is everything okay between the two of you?" Kevin asked, releasing his grip on Sami's shoulders.
Sami shook his head. "We're fine, but Jey isn't, I don't think. Earlier, I had this weird feeling. Just one time we looked at each other after you picked me up from the house— and it's still there."
"Did you both fuck it out yet?"
"Kev! Are you jumping past that now?!"
"Relax," Kevin stifled a chuckle due to the bewildered look from Sami, "Sorry. Look, I'm not trying to embarrass you. Did either of you talk or mention about it together?"
"Umm…" Sami trailed off before answering. "We have, not fully. I wasn't sure how Jey would react if we went all the way as long as we have the same agreement, though he said he wanted to do it before I mentioned him needing to drink his packet."
He felt like an idiot again. Sami knew a glare and a scream went next.
To his surprise, Kevin didn't; a faint, proud smile twitched on his lips.
"I get it. This feeling you have is something you and Jey can't keep yourselves," Kevin said.
Sami blinked and nodded, silent for a few seconds.
He ruffled his hair. "But seriously, it's normal for us as humans. Once I dropped you off at your house, both of you had to discuss. If you two agree, do what's necessary. If not, control yourself until the time is right. Trust me, it would be a mess having mixed answers."
"What happens if it goes wrong…?"
"Work it out, listen to each other, and take your time. Jey's also human, not a full-on vampire. He's still him."
Sami pondered, glad to have a supporting friend, and the friend is Kevin.
And a boyfriend, who is half-vampire, half-human, Jey.
__________
After Kevin assisted him with groceries, setting them on the table counter in the kitchen, Sami rushed straight to the living room, a blood packet in hand. He slipped off his shoes and positioned them beside the couch, eyes scanning the room.
Most often, Jey would yell across the hallway, reminding he was either in the bathroom or the bedroom. Silence crept through the whole house; crickets chirped outside at night. Doubts clouded in; he knew what the consequences were.
Has he gone out of control?
"Jey! I'm back!" he shouted.
No response.
"Jey…? Everything okay?"
Screw it.
Chewing on the bottom lip, unable to recall where his boyfriend was, Sami went to the bedroom at the right, hoping he was in there. He burst through the door, searching. Inside, blankets alongside pillows scattered on the king-sized bed, with no tears. Streaks of moonlight peered the window into the room, a shadow peeking beside the wall.
Sami's eyebrows furrowed. Before he followed it, his eyes met a known gaze, and Sami's mouth went dry. A pair of crimson hues stared back, a lustful gleam Sami couldn't look away caught in a spell. The shadow shrunk, closer each step until plucked off its figure, revealing its true identity.
"Jey…" Sami whispered, wide-eyed. "You're okay."
His black jacket was open, and his bare tattooed chest glistened in the light, different than usual. The way he stalked Sami like a predator found its prey, lips grew a wide, coy smirk. His demeanor changed in a snap. Kind, sweet, and loving is the Jey he experienced. The current Jey in front of him, however, is the dark, lustful man awoken in the night.
Maybe bloodthirsty fitted better.
Even if the signs behind the half-vampire nature gave a warning that Jey didn't drink blood, Sami never denied how good he looked when in an unusual state. His instincts told him to give the blood packet fast, but his body disobeyed as the packet slipped from his palm and onto the floor.
"So damn good for me." A growl rumbled in Jey's throat, his hands shot out, pinned beside Sami's head on the way, and cornered him. "You have no idea."
"A-Are you," Sami murmured, unfazed by the action Jey did. "Are you okay? Do you need blood?"
Jey hummed. "Naw, but I want yours."
Sami blinked, processing what he said. "Excuse me?"
"You didn't hear me, baby? Yours, meaning, your blood."
Oh. Oh god, is that hot or not? Wait, is that why…? Sami wondered. Feeling he'd taken too long, he cleared his throat. "Uh, my blood? You want my blood?"
"Yea. But," Jey's voice became husky, "I wanna do somethin' between us."
A rush of pleasure coursed through his body. Sami let out a shallow breath. "And that is?"
"Lovin' me."
Their bodies mashed together. Sami's eyes fluttered closed when Jey's lips grazed against the crook of Sami's neck. The unnoticed trace was a thirst for desire all along, including blood.
Even more.
"And lettin' me taste you."
With that, Jey sank his teeth into his neck.

Ten years ago, a not so funny story about me joining a Sonic Community for the first time
I should have known it wasn't a good idea.
Picture this: a "naive" young man who watched every Sonic game and every cutscene on youtube, a young man who enjoyed everything he saw, who didn't know about the people working behind it, who never saw the drastic change in character between Sonic and the Black Knight and Sonic Colors.
Ten years ago, Sonic Lost World came out.
That was the first time I ever saw Sonic showing emotions. Look at him, look at the poor hedgehog in the darkest moment of his life:
youtube
This scene right here actually made me cry. Like a freaking baby.
I was caught in a Sonic hyperfixation so severe I HAD to share my thoughts with someone else. What better place than a Sonic dedicated forum, right?
...yeah.
It was an Italian forum, so everything I'm about to quote is translated by myself the best I can.
So, I joined in for about a single day, and there was a thread named "(THE CHARACTER) Sonic the Hedgehog", and the opening post saying "What do you think about this character? What do you like or dislike about him?"
Many users said their own opinion, so I decided to share my pure genuine feelings with them. Here is my poem (a bit cringe nowadays, but I was absolutely sincere):
Only a month ago, for me Sonic was "simply" a great friend to spend time with, a hero moved by a beautiful mindset, to admire and to take example from.
But, you see, to this day I always looked at Sonic through the eyes of his friends. I put myself in the shoes of Tails, Blase, Chip. Shahra, in all those who met him and thanks to him they change their view on life for the better.
But Sonic, by himself, how is he exactly? What is in his mind? What does he do when he's all alone, in desperate situations? Does he still play the part of the brave and optimistic hero, to the point of being close to perfection?
NO.
Take his friends from him. Take his world from him. Take his reason for keep on fighting evil, take everything he LIVES FOR.
And you'll find out that Sonic is just a normal person. A person capable of experiencing human feelings. A person capable of being SAD.
I don't remember the last time I projected myself into a character like I'm doing with Sonic. I felt his loneliness, I felt his desperate desire to have someone to talk to, I cried for him.
And I realized that Sonic is, excuse me for repeating myself, a very normal person.
A person like us.
A special person.
...so. After I poured my heart and soul into this declaration of Sonic-ness, I expected at best a reply saying "nice post, it's obvious you adore Sonic!" or something like that.
But, no.
The reply I got was a flat, detatching reality check from none other than THE ADMINISTRATOR of the forum. Here it is:
If youn like the "human" side of Sonic, then forget about the videogames and go read the comics... The best of Sonic's personality is right there. SEGA has no idea how to use Sonic as a character... He almost feels nothing!
In the comic, you can see him cry, get angry, go nuts, and be an asshole.
At the end of the day, Sonic's reaction in Lost World, was already seen years ago in the Archie comics^^
Wow. What a way to welcome a newcomer in your community.
I could have accepted the suggestion better if they said "I suggest you to also check the comics", but to tell me to completely "forgot about the videogames" was kinda distasteful...

Can A.I. Help Casinos Cut Down on Problem Gambling?
Tumblr media
Two or three years earlier, Alan Feldman wandered onto the show floor at ICE London, a critical event in the gaming industry.  카지노사이트
Mr Feldman had spent the past 30 years as a pioneer with MGM Resorts International, focusing in on issue wagering and the financial, individual and master repercussions. Before his departure from the association, he helped structure a crosscountry reliable wagering with programing that focused in on helping players with moving their practices to lessen the bet of becoming issue card sharks.
While on the floor at ICE, he saw several associations progressing new things that would use man-made thinking to recognize issue wagering, but predict it. Mr Feldman was immediately distrustful. A.I., he thought, could do a huge load of things, yet he had never had some significant awareness of a use that expected a point of view.
A.I. as a solution for issue wagering "raised certainly a more noteworthy number of issues than it did answers," said Mr. Feldman, as of now a perceived person in careful wagering at the International Gaming Institute at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. "It was smooth, it was fascinating, it was persuading intellectually. In any case, whether or not it was really going to do anything, I thought, especially remained at question."
Another request, this one clear to any observer: Isn't an issue card shark the very thing a club needs financially? In short: no. Regardless, setting to the side regulatory issues - wagering executives can be fined or lose their licenses expecting they disregard to screen issue wagering and act when essential - it is, unusually, not in their best financial interest.
"Betting clubs need to have clients to help themselves," Mr. Feldman said. "Besides, the most ideal way to have clients is to have clients who themselves are strong and prospering and prepared to deal with their bills and return the accompanying time." Problem examiners "reliably end the same way," he added. "The place to pause is unequivocally something very similar with all of them: They have no money."
In a more wide sense, the mixing of A.I. in addition, wagering has all the earmarks of being genuine: boundless and reliable data; route; modernized systems. With the impact of web gaming, the opportunities to saddle this mix for a public respectable have all the earmarks of being endless. Reality - unraveling human direct, investigating assurance guidelines, settling managerial issues - is essentially more tangled.
While Mr. Feldman was investigating those logical game plans, Danish experts were endeavoring to deal with comparative issues. Mindway AI, an association that grew out of Aarhus University, does the very thing Mr. Feldman felt somewhat unsure of: It predicts future issue wagering. Collected using research at Aarhus University by its creator, Kim Mouridsen, the association uses clinicians to plan A.I. computations in distinctive practices related with issue wagering.  바카라사이트
One immense test is that there is no sole indication of whether someone is an issue card shark, said Rasmus Kjærgaard, Mindway's CEO. Besides, at most club, human area of issue wagering spotlights on several factors - by and large money contributed and energy played. Mindway's structure thinks about 14 extraordinary risks. Those integrate money and time yet also dropped bank withdrawals, changes in the hour of day the player is playing and erratic changes of wagers. Every part is given a score from 1 to 100, and the A.I. then, works out a bet evaluation of each and every player, chipping away at itself with each hand of poker or touch of the roulette wheel. Players are scored from green (you're doing fine) to blood red (immediately pull back from the game).
To fit the estimation to another club or online manager, Mindway surrenders its data to a get-together of subject matter experts and advisors arranged in perceiving such direct. (The association said they were free, paid specialists.) They assess each client's clients and use that model as a sort of measure. The estimation then, rehashes its decision to the full client informational collection.
"At the point when a player profile or player direct goes from green to yellow and to various walks as well, we can put everything in order," Mr. Kjærgaard said. The value in the program isn't actually recognizing those red issue theorists; by noticing the jumps along Mindway's concealing reach, it predicts and gets players as their play returns. At this point, he said, club and online chairmen focus on the dull red examiners; with Mindway they can perceive the players before they anytime show up by then.
The trickiest development, nonetheless, as shown by Brett Abarbanel, supervisor of investigation at U.n.l.v's. Global Gaming Institute, is taking that data and uncovering it to a player.
"Expecting my estimation flags someone, and it feels that they're an issue player, I won't send them a note and make proper acquaintance, 'phenomenal news, my computation has remembered you as perhaps an issue theorist. You ought to stop wagering right away!'" The response would be undeniable, Dr. Abarbanel said, sending a middle finger: "That will happen."
Bit by bit directions to truly give that information - and what to tell the player - is a nonstop conversation. Some online gaming associations go through pop illuminating; others use messages or messages. Mr Kjærgaard believes that clients take his data and, dependent upon the level of peril, interface with the player straight by phone; the unequivocality of the data, he said, alters such calls.
Since starting in 2018, Mindway has gotten its organizations to seven Danish heads, two each in Germany and the Netherlands, one overall overseer and a U.S. sports-wagering head, Mr. Kjærgaard said. The electronic wagering beasts Flutter Entertainment and Entain have both united along with Mindway as well, according to the associations' yearly reports.
Since this development is so new and there's no managerial body setting a standard, Mindway and near associations are, until additional notification, essentially isolated. "We expected to have the choice to impart to you, to some other individual - heads, obviously - that notwithstanding the way that we give this intelligent based programming, yet we also need to have a third assembling to test the endorsement of what we do," Mr. Kjærgaard said. "However, a problem there's no specific requirements which I can demand that my gathering fulfill."
As of now, Mindway's development lives commonly in web wagering. Managers associate Mindway's GameScanner system to their entry, and it separates individual risks, yet hard and fast bets for the structure. Applying that level of oversight to in-person wagering is considerably more inconvenient.
One representation of an extent of accomplishment can be found in Macau. Club directors there use hidden away cameras and facial-affirmation development to follow players' betting behavior, as well as poker chips enabled with radio-repeat recognizing verification advancement and sensors on baccarat tables. This data then, heads to a central informational collection where a player's show is followed and checked for interplayer interest.
This, Mr. Kjærgaard said, is what's to come: The money related persuading powers will drive accomplishment. "Splendid tables" and attempts to address tax avoidance and money related rules may eventually give the data that will supercharge the use of A.I. to in-person wagering.
(It similarly includes another difficulty in applying A.I. to wagering: social differentiations. In Chinese betting clubs, Dr. Abarbanel said, the players are used to this level of noticing; not so in the United States.)
A.I. would irrefutably work for club when it came to displaying, headways and game-thought, Mr. Feldman expressed, but disregarding progress recently, he has waiting questions of its use to assist with giving card sharks. The utilization of such a gadget may be preferable used entirely over broadly, he acknowledges, comparable as the "Your spending is 25% higher than the prior month" refreshes that spring up in electronic monetary records.  온라인카지노

𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐝𝐢𝐜𝐭 ~ 𝐇.𝐋 𝐱 𝐑𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐫
Based off the prompt:   “𝐈 𝐰𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐭𝐨 𝐛𝐮𝐭 𝐈 𝐜𝐚𝐧'𝐭. 𝐖𝐞 𝐜𝐚𝐧'𝐭 𝐝𝐨 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬.”
𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐝𝐜𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐭: 3.7K
𝐖𝐚𝐫𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬: Swearing
𝐒𝐲𝐩𝐧𝐨𝐬𝐢𝐬: Family always came first to you. That’s why you moved to Tokyo with your baby brother despite being miserable every single day, until you met him.
Tumblr media
If NYC was the city that never slept then Tokyo was it’s younger sibling who was constantly trying to outdo the elder child. You ignored your younger brother who sat beside you in the taxi, leaning your head against the window and admiring the bright neon lights that stood out against the black of the sky.
No stars were visible, and the noise of the city was audible from inside the taxi, grinding against your ears. You hated it.
“Y/n.” You yanked my head from the cool glass of the window, leaving it foggy in your absence as Sean gently called your name. “We’re here.”
It was then you noticed the taxi had come to a stop, in front of a small looking building.
“This is it?” You asked, only getting a nod and sigh in response as the two of you exited the small vehicle, him sighing loudly as he picked up the bags.
You approached the door and knocked, waiting impatiently as the city air bit and nipped at your rosy red cheeks and nose.
It opened, revealing the man you recognized to be your father. You took a step back, turning the volume of the music in your ears up and letting Sean do the talking. You observed as their mouths moved, and the door closed on the two of you, your eyebrows furrowing in confusion before relaxing as it opened again.
This time he was fully clothed and a woman quickly scurried out from behind him, not giving any of you a second glance.
You pulled the earbud out, looking between your brother and father.
“Who was that?” You asked, following the two of them into the cramped building.
“A friend.” Your father responded sharply, before going over the ground rules and showing you to your rather small rooms.
The sleep was terrible that night. Unable to get comfortable on the thin mattress, and longing to be back at home in America. After all, you weren’t the child who had screwed up.
                                                  【~~~】
It took about three days for the reality of the situation you were in to settle in.
You were living in Tokyo. And you wouldn’t be returning home any time soon.
It was quite a rude shock when it finally hit you, and that’s when the tears every night started to pay visits.
You sure as hell weren’t the one who had fucked up, destroying not one but two cars, illegally racing and crashing through the frame of a house waiting to be built. No, that was Sean. But as usual you also had to pay for his mistakes and so off to Tokyo you went with him, leaving behind your friends, your family and your car.
It wasn’t like your mother was expecting you to live here forever with Sean. After all you were almost nineteen and very much so capable of making your own decisions.
She had wanted you to go with him for the first month though, not wanting him to be completely alone with no one but your father there for him, and by painting it out to be some exotic holiday she had convinced you to tag along.
It was a mistake.
Sean had started coming home later and later every night, adjusting well to life in the city. You on the other hand, had absolutely no friends, and despised your days with every fiber of your being. You had begun marking days off your calendar, counting down eagerly for the month to be over and for you to return home.
“I hate it here.” You shoveled food into your mouth, standing with your back against the counter of the kitchen as Sean absentmindedly filled a glass of water. “Why did I choose to come with you?”
“How would I know?.” He mumbled under his breath, pulling his phone out of his pocket as it buzzed.
“You know if you hadn’t been so-”
“Yeah, yeah, yeah,” He cut you off, rolling his eyes. “I get enough if that from Mom and Dad. Don’t need it from you too.”
His accent was far stronger than yours, and you mocked him, feeling defeated when he just rolled his eyes and turned back to his phone.
He read whatever was on the screen with a small smile on his face and nosily you leaned over, wanting to get a look.
“Fuck off.” He shoved your shoulder, still smiling.
“What’s got you looking all happy?” You asked, raising an eyebrow.
He looked at you, a mischievous smile on his lips as you waited.
“How do you feel about going out tonight?”
                                                 【~~~】
Bodies crammed together in the parking garage, all surrounding the hundreds of cars parked in the lot. The immaculate paint jobs shined in the harsh neon lights, and most of them had their hoods up and their incredible engines on display, leaving your jaw on the ground every time.
You stuck close to Sean and Twinkie, feeling safer with your younger brother and his best friend. You felt intimidated by the gorgeous women who surrounded you, not that you were there to impress anyone. You were there for the cars.
The shitty 1990 Accord you had back in the states was nothing compared to the beasts that were parked in here.
You could feel vibrations in the ground, from the music and cars and it brought a small smile to your face as you walked through the swarm of people.
Sean’s eyes were scanning the crowd intently, clearly searching for someone.
He finally located who he was after and pulled you and Twinkie in the direction, his smile growing.
“There are some people I want you to meet.”
You were introduced to some faces you knew you wouldn’t remember, a gorgeous girl named Neela being one of the few you did.
You didn’t miss the way they looked at each other, or the way her boyfriend would possessively interrupt when you were talking to her, much to her dismay.
“And finally,” Sean said as you approached a man leaning back against his car, a small smirk on his face. “The one and only, Han.”
You flicked your eyes up to meet his, ignoring the way your breath slightly hitched in your throat.
He stuck his hand out to grasp yours, and you gripped it back with the same smirk he was wearing.
“Y/n.” You introduced yourself, not missing the way his eyes slowly traveled up and down your body. “I’m sorry about what my brother did to your car.”
His eyes returned to you, a smile on his face.
“It’s fine. Plenty of others sitting in that garage.”
You raised an eyebrow.
“Oh yeah?”
“Yeah.” He nodded, his smile turning into a shy grin.
“Better keep Sean away from them then.” You teased, turning to your brother only to realize he had left.
You noticed him standing by Neela again, walking around her car while her boyfriend, Takashi, watched intently from afar.
“He’s in love. Has been since he saw her.” Han rolled his eyes, popping a chip into his mouth.
“Hard to see why he wouldn’t be.” You said. “She’s beautiful. Kind. Into cars.”
“And what about you?”
“What do you mean?”
“Are you kind? Into cars?” He asked, following your eyes to Sean and Neela.
“You forgot beautiful.” You said with a small laugh as you moved to stand next to him, leaning against the Mazda RX-7 behind you. You were praying to god it was his car, otherwise the lucky owner would probably get very, very pissed.
“Nah.” He turned his head and looked down at you. “Don’t need to ask you that to figure it out.”
A blush crept into your cheeks and you couldn’t stop the smile from appearing on your face.
“Well, usually when someone is kind they don’t run around telling others about it.” Your eyes met his again. “And I love cars.”
He grinned at you, and you turned your head to look back at Sean.
A part of you wanted to play hard to get, but the other part knew that even after only five seconds of talking to this man you were fucking done for and he knew that as well.
“And what about you?” You copied his earlier words, elaborating when you saw his confused face. “Are you kind? Into cars? Beautiful?”
“Beautiful?” He scoffed. “Sweetheart I’m a damn model.”
You let out a laugh, feeling yourself relax.
“I was kind enough to not beat your brother to death after he totaled my car.” Han joked. “And as for cars-” He gestured to the garage, full of stunning, high performance cars capable of stealing your heart in a matter of seconds. “-I probably wouldn’t be here if I didn’t like them.”
“Yeah I suppose that was obvious.” You let out a content sigh. This was the first time you had forgotten about your little countdown, and also the longest conversation you had had with someone who you weren’t related to.
The two of you fell into a comfortable silence, admiring the cars that surrounded you for a few minutes before he turned back to you again.
“What are you doing here Y/n?”
Your head turned to his, your eyebrows furrowed. “What do you mean?”
“Oh come on, you think Sean doesn’t gush about his amazing older sister every chance he gets?” Han rolled his eyes at you like you were stupid.
“No. I find that very hard to believe.” You let out a small laugh. “And you still haven’t answered my question.”
“Sean told me that you were eighteen, turning nineteen in a few months time. No one is forcing you to be here, in Japan.” Han explained, his dark eyes staring into yours. “And yet here you are. Living in Tokyo, miserable, because your delinquent brother couldn’t stay out of trouble in the states. Why?”
Your mouth opened, then closed, then fell open again. You turned your head away from the piercing dark eyes and glanced at your brother.
“Because that guy who destroyed your car is my baby brother. He’s the closest family I’ve got.” You watched Sean as he spoke to Neela, hearts in his eyes. “Family stick together Han. I couldn’t let him just up and leave to a brand new country, with no one but our father there for him.”
Han watched the way you spoke, feeling a warmth across his chest.
“It’s my job to protect him and be there for him, and I don’t care if I’m miserable the whole time I’m doing it. I’m going to be there.”
His jaw almost dropped as your words hit him like bricks.
“You know,” He started. “You remind me of someone I used to go way back with.”
You scoffed light-heartedly.
“How old are you?”
He just grinned. “Too old for you.”
“Well luckily for you, my age is too young for me.” You said. Despite your tone being confident your body was completely betraying you, bracing itself for rejection.
Instead he just laughed and ran a hand through his hair.
Both of your heads snapped to the right as someone called his name, and you felt your heart fall when you realized that he was probably going to leave.
He sent a quick wave to the person who called out and pushed himself off the Mazda, gazing down at you.
“You know,” He started, a shy smile creeping onto his face. “If you ever get bored during the day you should come by the garage. I think I could make it worth your time.”
You let out a small laugh.
“We’ll see.”
                                                【~~~】
“You made friends pretty fast.” Sean said teasingly as you entered the kitchen, your hair sticking up in all kinds of directions.
“Yeah and so did you apparently.” You sent a sarcastic smile back in his direction. “Pity she’s taken.”
The smile on his face dropped instantly and he went back to his breakfast, ignoring you.
After a few minutes of silence between the two of you he spoke up again.
“So are you gonna?”
You looked up from your phone and coffee, furrowing your brows.
“Am I gonna what?”
“Swing by Han’s garage?” He had a knowing smirk on his face. “He told me all about your little conversation.”
You just shrugged casually, not wanting to let him know how you really felt inside.
“Maybe, if I have the time.”
“All you have here is time.” He scoffed. “All you’ve done for the past few days is buy food, eat it, then sleep. You may as well.”
You let out a sigh and finished what was left of your drink.
“Yeah, and for your information Sean, it’s been great.”
“You know you wanna Y/n.” He teased, a grin on his face.
“How about this,” You started. “Let me know next time you head over there. Maybe I’ll tag along.”
“Sounds good to me.” Sean said. “Especially given that I’ll be there tonight.”
Your cool demeanor dropped and your eyes widened.
“Tonight?”
“That’s what I said.” He grinned. “I’ll be sure to let him know he can look forward to seeing you there with me.”
“I’m gonna fucking kill you.” You whispered under your breath.
He just shrugged his shoulders.
“You’d be doing me a favor if it meant I’d never have to see your gross face again.”
“What are you? Five?” You asked.
“I’d say that’s about right.”
You just scoffed at him, heading back to your room.
Not that you’d ever admit it to Sean, but you were glad that he’d be heading over to the garage tonight.
You would definitely rather die than tell him that though.
                                               【~~~】
You shut the car door behind you and stepped out into the cool evening air.
Sean had come by to pick you up after he had finished school, and you had been anxiously waiting all day.
Now you were finally here, and still very, very anxious.
“This doesn’t look like a garage to me.” You furrowed your brows, looking out at the water.
“That’s because it’s in there.” Sean pointed to the large brick building. “We’re gonna stay out the front, this is where Han’s been teaching me how to drift.”
“Oh.” You managed to get out, following your baby brother to a group of people who were all sitting down by stacks of tires.
All four faces were familiar, but you only remembered the names of two of them.
“Y/n.” Han greeted you, nodding his head with a smile as he casually held the bottle in his hand.
“Hi.” You smiled back at him, your nerves starting to melt away.
Sean gestured to the empty seat beside Han, and you took it.
The others tossed you friendly smiles which you returned, and Han looked up at Sean.
“Go get your sister a drink.” He said.
Sean did as he was asked, reaching into the cooler that had been brought along and handing you a bottle of something.
“Are you gonna have one?” You asked your brother as you opened it and took a small sip.
“Can’t drink and drive now, can I?” He smirked, digging his keys out of his pocket and heading back towards the Evo.
“Well that’s a first.” You scoffed, and you heard Han let out a small laugh beside you.
“I’m guessing the cowboy doesn’t wanna fuck up another one of Han’s cars.” Twinkie said, watching Sean as his climbed into the car and started it.
You looked over at Han.
“That’s your car?”
“Yep.” He nodded proudly, watching Sean as he started his usual route around the dock.
“How many more have you got hiding in that garage of yours?” You asked with a small laugh.
“You’ll have to come see for yourself.” He shrugged.
“Maybe.” You shrugged as well, missing the way Twinkie and the others looked back and forth at each other.
“You know,” Han started. “If you haven’t got any other plans tonight, I could take you out for a drive, grab some food. Maybe come back to the garage when everyone’s gone.” He said the last part quietly enough for only you to hear.
You looked over to Sean in the car, able to make out his face of concentration despite how far away you were from him. He wouldn’t miss you for one night.
“When do we leave?” You asked with a smile.
He grinned with a surprised laugh, and you could tell he had been expecting you to say no.
“Now, if that works for you.”
You looked back at Sean, wincing at the sound of the tires screaming against the road.
“Sounds good.”
                                              【~~~】
The two of you had ended up getting cheap food from a side-of-the-road vendor, eating in silence in the car before making small talk about everything, from your life back in America to what kind of animals you thought you could take on in a fight.
You were laughing when you stumbled out of the RX-7 and into the cool night air, following Han into the garage which wasn’t that much warmer.
You didn’t know what you had expected when you walked into the garage, but it definitely wasn’t what you saw.
Han gestured for you to follow him up some stairs to an open second story, furnished with a small kitchen, table and chair, and living area.
“Wow.” You mumbled under your breath, realizing he must have some serious money to be able to afford all of this. Not to mention the cars in there, some of which cost more than your house, car and life savings combined.
“It’s my pride and joy.” He pointed towards the sofa, and you took a seat, sinking in to the plush material as he opened the fridge and called out to you. “You want a drink?”
“Yeah thanks.” You smiled, and he pulled out two of the same bottles you had been drinking from earlier.
He took a seat beside you, on the opposite edge of the relatively small sofa, and the two of you sat in silence for a moment, reflecting on your night, before you spoke up.
“Thank you.” You said quietly, and he looked at you in confusion. “For what you’re doing for Sean, I mean.”
“It’s not a problem.” He brushed it off. “He’s a good kid, the kinda person I want to be around.”
You let out a scoff.
“Well I wouldn’t go that far.”
He chuckled at you.
“Thank you.” He said, and this time it was your turn to be confused. “You might not realize it. but coming out here with Sean has made it so much easier for him. He probably won’t ever tell you, but he’s grateful as hell and crazy lucky to have you in his life.”
A small blush crept up onto your cheeks, and you almost didn’t notice as he crept closer towards you. Almost.
“Yeah well he’s also crazy lucky to have met you.” You said quietly, your eyes meeting his as the two of you drew closer and closer. “I am too.” You whispered.
“And why’s that?” He asked, his tone matching yours, and you swore the room got hotter by about twenty degrees.
“You’re kind,” You started, remembering back to last night when you met him. “Into cars.” You continued, and he nodded along, agreeing with you.
“You forgot beautiful.” He whispered, just inches from your face now, and you smiled cheekily.
“You’re a damn model sweetheart.”
He grinned, his eyes flicking down to your lips briefly and before you could realize what was happening his lips were on yours.
Your hands instinctively went to his hair, pulling him closer to you as you laid down flat on your back, feeling his hands roam up and down your body.
You felt butterflies erupt in your chest as your hands wandered from the back of his head, and so did your mind.
Sean’s face flashed in your mind and you inhaled sharply, pushing Han off of you and sitting up, breathing heavily.
“Shit.” You hissed, moving to the edge of the sofa and holding your head in your hands. “Shit, shit, shit.”
“What? What’s wrong?” Han asked, also breathing heavily. His tone sounded confused, and guilt racked through your body. “I’m sorry.” His voice changed to apologetic. “I thought you wanted to.”
“I do.” You whined. “I want to, but I can’t. We can’t do this.”
“Why not?” He asked, placing a hand on your thigh.
“Sean.” You turned to look him in the eyes, and his face dropped.
“Shit.” He said.
“Shit.” You agreed.
The two of you sat in silence, still trying to catch your breaths, and trying to think of a way to fix the now incredibly awkward situation.
“I think I should leave.” You said, pushing yourself up off the sofa.
“Y/n don’t go.” Han protested. “It’s the middle of the night and you’ve been drinking. Neither of us can drive and I’m not going to let you walk home or get into a taxi with some creep.”
You let out a sigh, not letting him see how the fact that he cared that much made you all warm and fuzzy inside, or how the fact that it made you all warm and fuzzy inside made you want to gag.
“What do I do then?” You asked.
“Take my bed.” He nodded towards a door that you were assuming led to his bedroom. “I’ll take the sofa.”
“No way.” You protested. “This is your home Han, you aren’t sleeping on that tiny ass sofa. I can, it’s no problem.”
His eyes looked like he wanted to argue, but he kept his mouth shut.
“Ok. I’ll go grab you some blankets.”
“Thanks.” You smiled, laying down on the sofa.
It was undeniably comfortable, and you let your eyes close before Han returned, vaguely feeling him place a thick blanket over the top of you before pressing a quick kiss to your forehead, leaving you with butterflies.
Your mind started to slip out of consciousness, and you let it, forgetting about how you were sleeping in Han’s garage, and planning on being out of there before he woke up the next morning.

🐝 God damnit Bachria
🐝 Always uses emojis and faces when he texts. You know he’s really upset if he forgets one
🐝 Probably any other name than your own, sometimes using nicknames so obscure, inside referential, or far from your own that people sometimes have no idea who he is talking about
🐝 He also refers to you in ways that assume (or maybe he simply does not care) that they know who he is talking about when you are not involved or in the room. “Oh, they wouldn’t like that at all.”, “You know what they say, don’t poop on public planes and all that.” “...who the hell are you talking about, man?”
🐝 He loves it when you play soccer together just as much as when you guys do something together that you’re passionate about, even if it is a complete 180 from soccer
🐝 He is overjoyed whenever you have the chance to stay and watch him play, either in games or during practice. After he makes a good dribble or scores goals, he turns to you each time in elation to make sure you saw, “[Y/n], didja see that?! Didja?! The ball was like bap, then I went fwoo!”
🐝 He will steal your snacks and miraculously find them each time you change their spot
🐝 He also shares his if you skipped a meal or if you say you’re hungry
🐝 If you’re across the room doing something completely different, but happen to make eye contact with Bachira, he will make faces at you until you laugh
🐝 He likes to piggyback rides and tends to greet you by jumping on your back. Unless he would crush you, then he gives you piggyback rides.
🐝 You don’t watch good movies together. Only the foulest of the foul pieces of work that will have you both laughing your asses off
🐝Yeah, no good tv sessions either. All trash reality tv.
🐝 He will binge the same shows you watch separately and have intense conversations about them
🐝 For when he crashes at your house, he is the first asleep, almost instantaneously,  and the last to wake up
🐝 If someone or you fall asleep before him, be wary and hope there isn’t any markers left out
🐝 Texts while you’re in the same room
🐝 Adds you to random group chats
🐝 Can and will confront you if you look upset. If you don’t want to talk about it, he will easily drop it but will bring it up later and consistently check up on you during the day. Expect tubs of ice cream and bags of chips throughout the day
🐝 Sends ten memes at 3:00 am
🐝 They're cursed memes
🐝 Blowing air in your ear to get your attention if you aren’t paying attention to him
🐝 He is always willing to teach or show you dribbles he’s done before and will always remain patient until you get it. Even outside of that, if its anything soccer-related, players, positions, terminology, he is more than happy to teach or tell you about it
🐝 If he happens to be playing a casual match with other players, if you want to join and know nothing about soccer, he won’t hesitate to accept. In fact, he probably asked before he started. If the others don’t agree, he’ll just leave them and play with you by himself
🐝 Card games to pass time. On a bus, train, when you’re both bored. You two actually became really good at it and joke about taking your skills to Vegas if your dreams don’t work out
🐝 During the winter, you go ice skating on lakes and he initiates surprise snowball wars
🐝 He likes to show you cute bugs he finds. Even if it freaks you out
🐝 Takes photos and videos when you’re not paying attention then posts them on your birthday
🐝 He comes to you first whenever he is feeling down and just lays his head on your shoulder or head without a word. He will open eventually, but just needs a pillar for a moment
🐝 You, him, and his mother paint portraits of each other from time to time
🐝 Initiates pillow fights

So I decided to make an analysis about the last scene of Infinite Darkness
But before I start with the fun part, I just want to tell you that my history with “angst ships”
I had a bad experience with another ship, soul mates full of angst tropes and true love, beautiful... and a really bad ending because the showrunner fought with the actors (I wasted years watching and I regret it).
Anyway, after suffering that kind of pain, no other ships and angst scenes can hit me hard enough. I'm numb or just got used to it. You choose.
So maybe the scene of Leon and Claire's argument wasn't that impactful for me because of that. But for all the fans who felt hurt, I understand and it's okay to feel that way, because the scene was meant to hurt. The scene exists because of that. And your feelings are valid.
So let's get to the fun part.
spoiler alert, it's not that fun, it actually hurts 😅
The scene starts with Leon going to meet Claire at the gates of the White House.
I don't think anyone denies the fact that, whatever Leon is doing, he just wants to protect Claire. And he doesn't want her involved because of it.
But this dialogue makes this even more evident if we analyze how it begins.
Nothing in a show or movie is by accident. Everything is handpicked for one reason or another. The meaning is not always that deep, but there is still a meaning behind it all.
So when – of all the ways a conversation can be started – they decide to make Claire joke that she sneaked out of the hospital, Leon takes it seriously and she has to clarify that it's a joke, there's a reason:
Tumblr media
Show that Leon is taking what happened to her too serious, and Claire not that much.
When Claire makes a comment about when he's going to stop treating her like a kid and he says probably never. There's a reason:
Tumblr media
Show that Leon wants to protect her (or being overprotective) and Claire doesn't like it.
Of course, some might argue that this specific line is capcom trying to show that their feelings aren't romantic and sink the ship completely. And, ok, people are free to think that.
But if they really wanted to sink cleon forever, they shouldn't have done the scene of Leon saving Claire the way they did. They did it because they knew it would tease a certain part of the fans... They knew exactly what they were doing...
And there's simply no reason to tease a ship you want to sink.
So no, I don't think that's it...
For me the scene means the classic and simple: "stop being worried about me🙄" "noooo🗣️"
Another way to intensify Leon being overprotective is Claire's broken arm. A reminder that she was injured following his plan. Just as she was hurt the last time they saw each other in Harvardville.
And yes, I know Degeneration made Claire hurt to take her out of the action. It is undeniable. But somehow I don't think the same situation and reason applies to Infinite darkness.
Because Claire was already out of combat, following Leon's plan and showing no intention of doing anything different. It's not like she's going to attack the monster that is several platforms higher than where she is. She couldn't fly around and there were no guns where she was anyway.
So why hurt her to get her out of combat if the story itself has already done that?
Again, you are free to think differently. Capcom made Claire dirty, she was underestimated and they wasted her potential. I won't argue with that, I'm also on the team Claire deserves better.
I just don't think it fits this specific situation.
The injured arm is there and a awkward conversation about Leon being overprotective starts because of it. I think it makes sense.
So moving on.
Claire mentions the chip and Leon looks disappointed for a moment and says he thought they were going to dinner.
This is to indicate that he didn't come to see her with the intention of breaking their friendship. Leon just wanted to spend a good time with her and nothing more. Some place a little more normal, maybe?👀
But Claire wants the chip and tells Leon her plan. The same plan that Shen May was killed trying to convince her partner to follow. Is there a parallel here?
The only difference is that Jason broke her neck while Leon decided to break Claire's heart.
Okay now I could show more parallels between them, but I won't because this is already too long and I know maybe I'm reading too much into this. Resident Evil isn't that deep most of the time 😂
Anyway, Claire asked for the chip and Leon said no.
And that's the point, right.
The climax of the conversation and the turning point in their relationship.
Tumblr media
Note that Leon took a few seconds to say he couldn't. That was the moment when he made his decision...
He went to meet her for dinner, remember? He didn't expect to have this conversation or make a decision like that. But he had to.
Now, I'm not from the US and I don't trust politicians in general, fiction or not. But I admit this sounds realistic.
Just imagine if the president makes a speech about peace and prosperity and whatever and the next day the media reveals that members of the government are involved in BOW and planning an attack on another country.
At the very least, it won't look good.
In the worst case, it will be a catastrophe 😂
So... I don't agree with Leon, but I understand why he chose this.
It's an important decision, however. And how long it takes him to say something and how he's quiet after saying it shows he knows what's on the line. Not just the security of the country and “peace”, but also his relationship with Claire.
And despite everything... He didn't lie to her.
It would be much easier for Leon to simply say "the chip was destroyed in the fight" when she asked. Claire would never know about it and probably never doubt him. And they would still be fine with each other and having dinner.
But he didn't lie. Why?
Because their relationship is not based on lies. And it's not based on betrayals.
And while it may be hard to believe right now and it hurts to think about it, this relationship is still based on truth and trust in each other. And now their relationship is being tested.
It's easy to trust someone you're on good terms. How hard it must be to trust someone who has let you down.
There is a lot of room for development here.
Tumblr media
Obviously Claire felt hurt in this moment. Maybe even betrayed. Heartbroken. I think we all feel that same way.
But Leon played fair there. He said he had the chip, showed it to her, and then said he wouldn't give it to her.
He was honest with her. And this act also shows respect.
They are two people with different points of view and that truth hurts.
There is silence as they look at each other. She never asked his reasons and he obviously never told them. The exchange of glances is enough for them to understand what was happening.
When Claire says “you do things your way and I do mine” it's almost like “do you know what that means? ”
Then Leon nods and another moment of silence. The time they need to accept that the relationship is broken.
Now that's angst
Tumblr media
Interesting choice of camera angle. Showing her broken arm as a visual reminder of why he was pushing her away like that.
Claire leaves, but looks back and says again that his outfit doesn't suit him.
What's interesting here is that the director has done a few interviews over the past few weeks and he always said that the suit is a representation of Leon's position in government.
Tumblr media
Claire commenting that it doesn't suit him is basically the writers/producers/directors admitting that this position doesn't look good.
And while all the characters praising Leon for his success, Claire is the one who sees this reality and who he truly is out of the suit (position)
And that's good angst.
Claire walks away and Leon with a sad look watching her leave and he has to say to himself "I will stop this".
Tumblr media
Could it be just one of his one-lines? Yes.
Could it be a way for him to remind himself why he's doing this, even if it means sacrificing his relationship with Claire?
It's already done, now he has to make it worth it.
Whatever happens after that is a mystery.
I don't think Claire believes that Leon is going to cover up the government's involvement in things (their discussion would be much more intense if that were the case), she probably thinks he's going to resolve it internally without taking anything public, which is precisely what she wants to do.
I also don't think Leon believes Claire is going to give up on the investigation, he probably thinks it's going to take some time to her to get real evidence and he has time to carry out his plans.
But this is capcom... They are masters of forgetting plot points. So who knows.
Angst is only good if it has a good closure. I hope they keep that in mind.
In any other tv show that used this kind of angst trope and drama I would be completely fine...
I would expect a sequel to this plot. The characters find each other unexpectedly, having to work together and acting awkwardly because they don't know how to stick around each other after the argument. Then the story would develop and they would gradually mend their relationship.
That's the trope.
So that's all I can hope for.
