Hello! I love your work!! Can I please request a really lovesick yandere who starts killing people to try and get their best friend/crush to get scared and rely on them more, but their darling is so stupid they don’t even bother to think it could happen to them and isn’t affected at all by the murder spree their yandere is on?
I feel like that’s be amusing to watch.

❥ Lovesick ! Yandere who has been your Best Friend for so long at this point that they think you’re practically in a relationship.
❥ Lovesick ! Yandere who always thought you were a little clueless and were happy to wait for the day you notice them romantically just as they had done the first time you called them your Best Friend.
❥ Lovesick ! Yandere who realises they have to take matters into their own hands and be a bit more forceful once you begin dating in high school, whilst they turned down any confession sent their way.
❥ Lovesick ! Yandere who begins simple, manipulating convincing you to spend more time with them, come with them to that place you wanted to go, do that activity with them, not whoever you were briefly with.
❥ Lovesick ! Yandere who stalks you on every single date you go on, and snaps whilst watching you on your most recent date as you let whoever you were with kiss you.
❥ Lovesick ! Yandere who realises whilst watching one of your favourite horror movies together that fear, trauma bonding and such scenarios always bring couples together in movies and so it should work on you, too.
❥ Lovesick ! Yandere who wants with all their being for you to come running to them after hearing about each murder, terrified of the big bad killer and the only thing able to comfort you is being enveloped in a hug from them, with your head tucked into their neck as their arms wrap around you, their words and touch the only safe space after everyone else you know is dead or missing.
❥ Lovesick ! Yandere who begins their killing spree with those in your classes who can’t seem to take a hint from your Best Friend’s possessive hand placements every moment they’re with you, and instead lets their words become a little too friendly.
❥ Lovesick ! Yandere who wants to build the stress and anxiety in you, and have you break in their arms as the string of murders slowly get closer and closer to you, socially.
❥ Lovesick ! Yandere who has long since had a list of people close to you, containing every touchy classmate, and useless ex, as well as your friends both distant and close to you. All arranged in order from how close they are to you, and crossed off as they all begin disappearing one by one.
❥ Lovesick ! Yandere who initially plans not to hurt your immediate family… unless they - for some reason - suspect your dear Best Friend and try to force a larger gap between you than the one they were trying to fix in the first place, then your loved ones won’t be so fortunate.
❥ Lovesick ! Yandere who thinks that you just didn’t see the news or pay much attention to your surroundings, they already knew you could be pretty oblivious at times.
❥ Lovesick ! Yandere who overhears a conversation between you and their next target, said target bringing up the increasingly violent murders, sharing their fears, whilst all you have to say in reply is a dismissive “Oh yeah, I heard about them,”.
❥ Lovesick ! Yandere who decides to ask you for themself one night while having a sleepover, “Aren’t you worried you could be next?” the police had officially announced it being a serial killer that day, “Me? Nah,” is all you had to say, too invested in the activity of your choice. Confused, your Best Friend probes further, “But…don’t you know all the victims personally? What if the murderer is someone close to you?” You shake your head dismissively, “No way, it’s definitely a coincidence,” you say without a hint of sarcasm, completely unbothered.
❥ Lovesick ! Yandere who plays with the idea of having you come across a body, to really shock you and make you realise how real what’s happening is, and how close it is to you.
❥ Lovesick ! Yandere who can’t quite understand your intense denial of your relation to the murders, are you trying to avoid the topic? Maybe to stop yourself from breaking down?
❥ Lovesick ! Yandere who was surprised one night on a call with you where you brought up the topic first this time, complaining about your most recent group project partner going missing because now you have to do it all by yourself.
❥ Lovesick ! Yandere who took the opportunity to spend time with you and be your replacement project partner despite not taking the class it’s for, remaining confused at your flippancy in bringing up the “tragedy”.
❥ Lovesick ! Yandere who can’t decide in the end if you’re really this oblivious (stupid), or if you know and just don’t care. Although they do fantasize at the thought of you secretly knowing that your Best Friend is the one behind everything and feeling safety in knowing that this is all for you. Either way, your Lovesick ! Yandere is elated.
❥ Lovesick ! Yandere who loves you all the more despite your confusing reactions and ruining of their plans. All they want is every smidge of your attention and you to be as obsessed with them and their safety as they are with yours. It all makes you more lovable, though, like a big dumb puppy.
❥ Lovesick ! Yandere who continues with their killing spree despite it not having a direct effect on you as they quickly found it discouraged those around you - those that are left, at least - to begin avoiding you as people started collecting the dots and spreading rumours. Nobody else approaches you anymore, not that you seem to notice though, too busy rambling to your Best Friend.
❥ Lovesick ! Yandere who is just as pleased with this outcome as the one they had been aiming for when they started their rampage. All they had really wanted was to become the centre of your world once more...

one. - now -
"Has Miss L/N signed the papers yet?" the man asked your father, as if you weren't in the room already.
"She has not yet. We are to discuss our agreement before we commit to anything." your father answered politely.
"I see." the man, also known as Mr. Bang, breathed out. "I expect an answer until tomorrow night. We have our big announcement ceremony. I will be delighted to know you there."
Your father nodded politely before leaving the room while you stayed behind. As the door closed, you sent a glare to Mr. Bang. Upon seeing your reaction, he lets out a laugh.
"Chan, stop it." you rolled your eyes.
"Please, your father is so serious." he kept on laughing.
"If only he saw how you are out of office..." you mumbled in exasperation. "I think you becoming a CEO has only worsen your IQ."
He huffed in response. "Your company is nothing without mine, watch how you talk to me."
"Bruh..."
"Y/N, this is serious business!" he exclaimed.
"I know that, but I also know you are, first and foremost, my best friend. Plus, how did you talk about me just now? As if I'm some puppet who only gets to sign stupid papers."
He shook his head as he turned on his computer. "I was only joking."
"Yeah, well, my father didn't get that." you scoffed.
You went around his desk and leaned forward to see the statistics marked on his screen. You frowned when one number caught your attention. The Han technologies had risen significantly.
"I thought you said our new line of intelligent watches helped us beat the Han company." you commented.
"It did. For like a week." he sighed. "Your company is not doing so good, let me tell you."
The Bang family was a renowned one in the industry. Their ideas were always original and fresh, the public loved it. The Han were more traditional, but they managed to keep a great image since they kept on releasing new stuff all the time. Plus, their promoting team was a hard one to beat. And then, there was the L/N. You used to lead the technology brands with the Bang. However, with time, your ideas were not as impressive as they used to be. The Han family sued you for plagiarism a few years ago and this was a huge step back for your improvement. Luckily, Chan had recently taken his father's place as the CEO of Bang inc. and agreed on helping your company to increase your legitimacy. That was only because you two had studied together in college and grew to support one another.
"Isn't Han Jisung supposed to take the spot as their new chairman?" you asked when your eyes spotted his name on the screen.
"He gets promoted tomorrow morning."
You groaned in annoyance. "Does it mean he is going to be there at your night event?"
"Yes." he gave you a weak smile. "If it helps you to feel any better, he is only there to discuss business with us. You don't even have to address him a single word."
You scoffed again. "Trust me, I'll stay away from this guy. Why do you have business with him. anyway? I thought you were helping me!" you acted offended.
"Stop whining, Y/N. You're becoming CEO next year as well. See the following months as an opportunity to learn more about the industry." he patted your back.
You deadpanned at him, arms crossed. "You're so annoying."
"And that is why you love me." he faked a smile. "You should join your father before he asks me to marry you again."
Although your father thought the ideal solution to save the company was to marry you off to Chan, the latter had refused multiple times. You were his best friend, he would never take away such a big part of your life from you.
"Fair enough." you shrugged. "Don't forget to send me the papers, I'll sign them tonight."
"Yeah, yeah." he motioned his hand at you while his eyes were stuck on his computer. "See you tomorrow."
You joined your father outside, and there were already journalists surrounding him, asking him questions about your downfall and how he planned to save his company. You came to his rescue by telling them off and dragging your father behind to the car. Once in the vehicle, you asked the driver to bring you home.
"I really think you should marry Mr. Bang for our sake." he shot at you as the car started to move. "This would do great publicity and help us rise our sells."
"Well, it's a shame he doesn't want to propose to me." you sighed with a hint of playfulness in your voice.
"Y/N, be serious for once!" he nagged at you. "You've known the man for years and he is very respectful. I see no issue in a marriage."
You rolled your eyes at him. "I don't want to marry him, neither does he. He is already helping us a lot, it should be enough for now."
"And look at the results. This only made us beat the Han family for a week or so."
Not wanting to argue, you simply sighed loudly and looked out the window. You passed in front of the Han building and caught a slight glimpse of Han Jisung. Another thing you hated about the man was how good-looking he was. This was surely going to help him raise their numbers after he gets promoted.
Finally getting home, you rushed to your room to go wash up. Your day had been a hassle with the meetings with Chan, trying to act as if you haven't seen each other at your worst back in college. The moment you stepped in the shower, your phone went off. Glancing at the contact, you shrugged it off and declined. A few minutes into washing your hair, it went off again. With a groan, you hurried to rinse off the shampoo and soap that remained on your body.
Still damped, you answered rudely. "What?"
"Uh... Is this a bad timing? I thought you told me you'd be off work by now..." the voice on the other side spoke with uncertainty.
"I am at home, but couldn't you have waited five minutes?" you groaned.
"Jeez, my bad, L/N." Jisung chuckled. "Call me when you can?"
"No, I'm done already." you sighed as you started to dry yourself with the towel. "What do you want?"
"I'm nervous."
Yeah, you and Jisung weren't exactly as hateful towards one another as people thought you were. You hated him, yes, but only because he was an annoying child who would be constantly calling you to talk about anything. Other than that, he was a good friend of yours.
"You've been preparing for a whole ass year, you'll be fine." you softly reassured him.
"I still believe I need more time."
"If you want my opinion, you'll never feel ready. I can assure you that you are more than well-prepared for this position." you said before going back to your room.
"Are you going to be there tomorrow?"
You sighed heavily as you let yourself fall on your bed. "Yeah, but don't expect me to talk to you."
"I know." he said sadly.
There was a pause in the conversation. You took it as an opportunity to change into a more comfortable outfit since you wouldn't be going out until the morning after.
"You still there?" you heard through your phone.
You picked it up again and placed it on your ear. "Yeah."
"I- Do you think it's weird for me to want things to be different?" he breathed out.
You frowned. "What do you mean?"
"You hated me before, right?"
"Yeah..." you trailed off, even more confused. "I still do, honestly."
"Yeah, well not like you used to. And I hated you too."
"Just get to the point." you complained.
"Right." he coughed. "I wish we could have continued what happened last year."
Tumblr media
two. - a year ago -
"You've got to be fucking kidding me." you cursed under your breath.
From afar, you saw your sworn enemy, Han Jisung, walk towards the baggage reclaim area, looking around for his own. You put on your sunglasses in hopes he wouldn't notice you. To your luck, he didn't as he seemed more preoccupied with finding his luggage.
You turned on your heels and walked away as fast as you could. In all of the places in the world, he had to be exactly where you were at for your little solo escapade. Add to that it was at the same time. You couldn't go back, this trip had cost you too much already.
"Well, well." you heard from behind. "If this isn't Miss L/N." he said in a cocky voice.
You shut your eyes closed before turning around, coming face to face with the man. "And if this isn't Mr. Too-Much-Ego-For-His-Own-Good." you faked a smile.
"I appreciate your worry about my ego, L/N, but I don't think it is necessary." he smirked at you. "Unless you actually have feelings under that pretty façade of yours."
It was your turn to send him a smirk. "I understand from what you said that you think I am pretty?"
His smile dropped. "You wish, princess."
With that, he left you in the middle of the airport as he headed towards the exit. Calling for a cab, he disappeared moments later. You could finally breathe a little. After making sure he wasn't around anymore, you went ahead yourself to get in a cab. You told the driver the location of the hotel you had reserved at, and it took him no time to drive away from the airport.
When you arrived, he was kind enough to help you with your bags before the valet took you in charge and brought them to your room. He led the way to the suite you had booked and made sure it was to your comfort before leaving. The sunlight was refreshing and the view as well compared to your house in the middle of the city back home. You walked to your balcony to take in the fresh air, letting yourself feel the warm breeze.
"Enjoying the view, L/N?"
Turning your head to your left, your eyes grew wider. This had to be a joke. There was no way he was in the room next to yours.
"Han." you muttered.
"I'm starting to think you are stalking me." he let out a laugh.
Even from his balcony that was a bit afar from yours, you could see the smug look plastered on his face. He was one hell of a jerk to be accusing you of such things, especially considering how much your families were against each other.
"I could say the same about you." you snorted.
"Don't expect this much from me, princess. If I wanted to pay attention to you, I would have done so way before."
How much you hated this pretty face of his. "Sure. Just don't bother my vacation." you huffed.
"You already ruined mine." he shot at you before walking back inside.
You soon did the same and rushed to get your phone, although you had promised yourself to not use it for the next two months of your getaway. In a hurry, you searched up Chan's contact and called him.
"I told you! You didn't even last an hour without your phone." he laughed as he answered.
"Han is here."
Chan said nothing, you could only hear his breath.
"Do you want to know the best?" you continued. "He's in the same fucking hotel in the room next to fucking mine."
"Oh." was all what came out of his mouth.
You grunted. "Thank you for the support, Bang."
"I'm sorry, Y/N, but this is kind of a lot to process." he chuckled awkwardly.
"Yeah, no shit..."
"Look, it can't be that bad! Just ignore him and he'll do the same. You two don't even look at each other during events, you can do the same now."
In a way, Chan was right. How bad could it be if the only thing you would do is go out in the sun and enjoy the beach? Sure, you were staying at the same hotel, but it didn't mean you were going to bump into each other every two seconds.
"Alright, I suppose it could have been worse. He just gets on my nerves so much."
"Ignore him and enjoy your trip, okay? I have to go now, but call me anytime."
"Thank you, Chan."
That night, you opted for having dinner at the restaurant in the lobby. From what you have heard, they served the best beef on Earth and there was no way you would miss your chance to taste it. You dressed in a casual attire, in contrary of your usual blazer you'd wear for work, and didn't even bother to look presentable. On this island in the middle of nowhere, who was going to recognize you anyway? Your cropped top with the skirt you picked definitely weren't going to be much of a problem.
The server offered for you to sit at their bar to taste their cocktails they offered along with the meat. You denied kindly and he assigned you to a single table near the window. From there, you had a perfect view of the sea and the sunset which were simply breathtaking. For the first time since your arrival, you finally felt at ease, which was exactly what you were going for. No stress, no pressure, just calmness.
"I'll have the flank steak with the potatoes, please." you ordered to the waiter, who took your menu after he noted it down.
The meal arrived not too long after. Taking a bite, you hummed from the taste, satisfied with the flavours. This was a perfect scenario; alone in the middle of nowhere eating the best food without anyone to bother you.
"Sorry ma'am." the waiter said, bringing a red drink in his hand. "The gentleman at the bar ordered this for you."
He left it on the table, making you almost blush. Not only was your night already perfect, but you could have your summer love at this instant. Your gaze moved to the counter with anticipation, until your smile was replaced by a glare.
"Are you being for real?" you scoffed, almost not believing what was happening.
"This is the most I have seen you in an entire day, Miss L/N." Han grinned, having the same drink as yours in his hand.
He left some money next to his plate before getting up and taking place on the seat in front of you. Your eyes followed his movements, daggers through them. He looked extremely handsome, more than usual. There was something about him wearing his shirt with a few buttons undone and neat jeans that had some sort of effect on you.
"What do you think you are doing?" you questioned, crossing your arms.
"I paid a beautiful lady a drink, what is so wrong with that?" he smirked.
Shaking your head in disbelief, you chuckled at him. "Are you seriously trying to flirt with someone you cursed at in public for the last month or so?"
He shrugged his shoulders as he took a sip of the red liquor. "This is in no way a professional setting, I'm allowing myself to let it loose. It might be something you should consider doing as well, princess."
"As if." you let out a laugh.
"I'm serious. Other than work, I don't see a reason for hating you at this moment. When you think about it, right now, we are two respectably office workers who are simply on a break on this beautiful island."
A playful smiled appeared on your face slowly. "You are right, Han. Maybe we could put our work aside for the following weeks."
You took this as a way to avoid awkward interactions, but mostly, it would avoid him shooting insults at you for the time being. If you were going to be seeing him regularly, might as well make a truce to be able to enjoy your stay.
"I didn't expect you to be agreeing with me." he tilted his head to the side. "How long are you staying anyway?"
"Two months."
He let out a hum. "Same as me."
"Great." you muttered.
Finally feeling the need of a drink, you took a sip of the one Han bought you. Your stare stayed cold as he observed your gestures. His eyes were almond round, but there was this intimating hint in them that you couldn't quite put a finger on. You were visibly both still on the edge. However, it was somehow more tolerable than usual.
He raised his glass towards you and you copied his move. "What are we toasting for?" you raised an eyebrow.
He grinned at you. "To us, two known rivals who bury the hatchet for two months."
"To us."
Cling.
Tumblr media
three. - eleven months and three weeks ago -
The first week had passed by so fast. Although you had planned to do so many things, you had barely gone outside. Unlike what you originally thought, you were not able to get away from work as easily. With a couple of calls here and there, signing documents to confirm shipments and others, you had little time to go out and enjoy the weather.
"What did I tell you?" Chan sighed, video calling you from his office. "I thought this was to forget about work."
"I know, I know." you groaned while rummaging through the clothes you packed. "I promise, today, I'll do nothing else but go to the beach and take a dip in the sea."
"Yeah, if you can find your bathing suit." he held in a laugh as he watched you struggle. "I'd offer to help, but I am eight hours away from you."
"Oh, wow, Channie." you turned to look at your phone. "I didn't know, I'm so glad to know you wanted to help still."
"Drop the attitude." he rolled his eyes. "You should be enjoying the sun instead of talking to me."
"You're my only source of entertainment since I got here, my bad." you held your hands up in defense. "Though I'm sure you have a lot of work right now, so I'll leave you be."
"Good plan. Have a good first day of vacation!" he waved before hanging up, not letting you say it back.
"This asshole." you mumbled to yourself.
Finally getting a hold of your bikini, you changed into it and wore a long summer dress over it so you could easily remove it once at the beach. You packed a tube of sunscreen, sunglasses, sandals, a bottle of water, and a book to spend the time.
You got there in a matter of minutes since your hotel was so close to the shore. There were already a lot of people, but you managed to find a spot a bit further where you could have some peace. There was a long chair installed with a parasol and a small table, so you placed your things, laying them out neatly, before you removed your dress. You were about to put on your sunscreen, until you heard a whistle from your left. Looking for the source of the sound, your eyes laid on a man. He wasn't so old, but he was visibly way older than you.
"Hi, Miss." he presented himself politely. "My name is Ko Sangwook."
"Okay." you said nonchalantly.
"And you are?"
"Annoyed you came here to bother me." you snapped at him. "If your way of flirting is whistling at a woman because you saw her at the beach in a bathing suit, I can understand why you are still looking for someone at your age."
"I-" he started, but you raised your hand up to stop him.
"I came here to relax and enjoy the view, so if you don't mind, it'll be very appreciated if you leave me alone."
"I didn't mean to-"
"I know what you meant." you cut him off again. "But like I said, I'd like to be left alone, thank you."
His shoulders dropped in defeat before he turned on his heels and walked back to where he previously was. Satisfied, you went back to putting on the cream on your arms. As you thought you had finally some tranquility, you heard someone clapping their hands slowly as they approached you. You immediately knew who it was.
"I almost interfered but I might say, you are rather good at handling such situations, L/N." he commented as he continued to clap.
You gave him a polite smile. "I'd usually tell you to fuck off, but in the context of the vacation, I'll gladly thank you."
Han snickered as he approached you. "You are very welcome."
He, himself, was in his swimming shorts with a loose white t-shirt and sunglasses that were pushing his hair back. This was a much different look from what you had seen him wear before and it was surely the first time you noticed the muscles he had through the fabric.
"Did you get here early?" you asked, now rubbing your legs with the cream.
He was checking you out, there was no doubt. However, the attention you were receiving was the least of your worries. Instead, you tried to focus on smoothing the white of the sunscreen.
"No, I got here about fifteen minutes ago. If I'm being honest, Miss L/N, I expected to be crossing your way sooner than today."
"I had issues to attend to." you responded, keeping it brief.
He dared to sit next to you as he saw you struggle to do your shoulders. Taking the tube from your hands, he squirted a certain amount and gave you a look as to ask for your permission. You nodded slowly and he started to rub your back gently, applying where you couldn't reach.
"Let me guess." he continued the conversation. "Work?"
"Precisely." you answered, suddenly not so focused as you felt his hands massage your shoulders. "I couldn't leave the paperwork to the staff, they would have messed it up."
"I see." he hummed.
To your disappointment, he was already done with putting on your sunscreen and he got up, rubbing his hands together with the remaining of it.
"Enjoy your day, princess." he said before he walked the opposite way from you.
You let out a huff, your brain trying to process the last couple of minutes. You shook it off. This was Han being polite, nothing more. Thus, you picked up your book and started to read, a way to change your mind. It didn't work. Your eyes kept drifting to where the blond-haired man was. Now totally shirtless, it was way harder to ignore his figure. One hell of a man he was.
Tumblr media
four. - now -
You coughed, not knowing what to respond to him. He seemed to notice your discomfort as he immediately tried to justify himself, although you already knew what he was referring to.
"I mean, back when we could be casual with each other without worrying about... Well, not casual, but at ease?"
"I get it, Jisung." you said, pinching in-between your eyes. "Listen, I'm sure tomorrow will go wonderful for you. This is what you've been working for all of these years, no?"
There was hesitation in his voice as he answered. "It is, you are right."
"Alright... I have to go now, I have a big day tomorrow, and so do you."
"Yeah..." he mumbled. "Thank you, Y/N."
"Good night, Han." you hung up.
Burying your face in your hands, you recalled the previous year. So much had happened since then, you didn't know why you kept secretly befriending the enemy. This was wrong, in all aspects.
"Miss L/N." you heard from your door. "I have your laundry. What do you want me to do with it?"
You opened the door to meet eyes with the sweet Jeongin, your assistant slash butler. "Innie, be casual with me." you chuckled.
"I would but your dad is, like, staring at me." he whispered to you, which made you laugh.
"I'll just take these from you." You then noticed another piece of clothing that did not belong to you while you took the pile of clean shirts from him. "What is this?"
"Ah." he exclaimed before holding it higher for you to see. "Mr. Bang told me about tomorrow, so I thought I could shop something for you. Don't be mad, I just thought you wouldn't have the time."
Analyzing the gown, you grinned from ear to ear. It was a beautiful silk red dress with a long skirt that seemed to be flowing even though the man holding it was barely moving. You noticed it had pockets and it only made you love it even more. If anything, Jeongin had the best taste in terms of clothing.
"It's okay, Jeongin. I love it."
"I knew you would." he smiled with you and gave it to you. "Sleep well." he waved.
"You too."
The next day, you woke up with the worst headache. You would have taken the day off, if it wasn't for the agreement you still had to sign with Chan. The guy forgot to send you the papers, and so had you forgotten to remind him. Both of you were so smart, but when put together, it was a disaster.
You walked in his office, a coffee in hand and eyebags taking half of your face, and then slumped on the chair in front of his desk. He gave you a suspicious look, but didn't bother questioning you when he spotted the box of doughnuts in your other hand.
"Is this for me?" he asked excitedly.
You yawned loudly while nodding your head, dropping the box in front of him. "I got the caramel thingy you love so much."
"You're the best." he smiled at you. "I can't eat them yet, though. We have some stuff to sign, my dear."
With a groan, you grabbed a pen laying on his agenda and straightened your posture, ready to sign. He took out a document out of a file and started to read out the conditions. There were basic ones, such as the percentage of gain for each party and the duration of the contract.
"Yeah, yeah, I know all of this already, we wrote it together." you whined, growing impatient.
"Sorry for following proper protocol, Mrs. I-Am-Still-Asleep." he rolled his eyes at you.
"Headache." you answered. "Where do I sign?"
He pointed you a few places while turning the pages. "And here."
"This feels like I'm committing to a marriage." you grumbled.
He stopped his motion and sent you a glare. "Y/N, please focus."
"Sorry."
You eventually signed everything and Chan made a copy for you. He kept his in a folder before putting it away in his drawer. Business was easy with him, you liked it.
You yawned once more as you put the paper in your briefcase. "My father will be happy this is finally done."
"I suggest you take a nap with some pills before tonight, you don't look too good." he pointed out with a raised eyebrow.
"Can I just crash on your couch?" you motioned the sofa in the corner of his office.
He shrugged. "Sure, but a heads up, Han is coming in a like thirty minutes."
Your eyes widened. "Uh?"
"We have a couple of things to get cleared up before tonight. It won't be long, I promise. You tolerated him for two months last year, you can handle an hour or so."
Did you handle the two months? You begged to differ.

Avoiding Han was easier when going to a different beach, further away from the one next to the hotel. It required you more transport, but the episode of the sunscreen left you traumatized almost. It was primordial for it to not occur again.
However, there was so much you could do to not meet him again. Tonight, the hotel was organizing a night on the beach for dancing and partying. You were still a woman in your 20s, there was no way you would be missing out on this. That also meant Han wasn't going to skip it either.
The moment you stepped foot on the sand, you saw him. He was discussing with a lady at the bar. Dressed in a short-sleeved buttoned shirt that was clearly too loose for him, he matched it with ripped jeans shorts and a silver chain around his neck. The woman with him was the definition of a popular girl you would meet in high school. Blond hair that matched his, bralette that enhanced the forms of her breast and a skin way too perfect to be real.
You had dressed up for the occasion as well. Although you had more self-preservation than her, you had picked a V shaped top with yet another one of your skirts. This one was longer and the fabric flooded perfectly as you walked. You went close to where he was sitting, ordering a margarita for yourself.
"Excuse me for a moment." he said, bowing apologetically to the lady.
Slowly, he made his way to you. You wondered where in this mind of his he thought talking to you was more worth it than speaking with the hot chick he had just abandoned.
"I would have never thought of you as one for the margaritas." he stated when the drink was placed in front of you.
"And I would have never guessed you liked bimbos." you replied with a knowing smile. "Known to break hearts, Han?"
He chuckled as he shook his head. "I used to be a wild teenager, I have to admit that."
"Not a surprise." you shrugged and drank your cocktail.
"How were you?" To this, you frowned at him. "In high school, I mean."
Looking up, you started to roll your memories from then in your head. "More reasonable and responsible than you were, I'd say."
"There is no doubt." he let out a laugh. "You dated Mr. Bang, didn't you?"
You froze at his words. For an instant, he reminded why you hated his family. They would never mind their own business and were constantly asking around for the gossip. This came to their advantage, they were known to expose the fraud within the industry.
"Is this why he's saving your ass from when my father sued yours?"
"Weren't you the one who wanted to bury the hatchet?" you said in a challenging voice.
"My apologies, princess." he snickered. "Curiosity got the best of me."
You turned your attention back on the drink in your hands. "I never dated Chan. I didn't even know him back in high school."
"It doesn't look like your relationship is platonic. I'm sure you are aware of what is said in the medias about the two of you."
You instantly got what he meant by that. "There is no marriage arrangement." you simply replied. "Did it answer your questions?"
"It did." he affirmed, now taking a sip of his own alcoholic liquor.
You considered you'd had enough of the conversation. By then, you had drawn a good image of what the Han family were discussing among themselves, and to no surprise, it was pure bullshit. You chugged the rest of your margarita and the shot of tequila you ordered along with it. Wincing at the strong taste, you put the glass down before walking towards the dance floor. Han stopped you.
Sending him a roll of your eyes, you smacked his hand away from your arm. "Am I not allowed to go have fun? Do I need the permission of the great Han Jisung?"
"I was simply about to ask you to dance with me."
You scoffed. "After your stunt about my personal life? I don't think so."
You found yourself moving along the music alone, soon then joined by another young man. From afar, you saw that Han had gone back to flirting with the big boobed girl from earlier. Good for him, he seemed to be lacking some action. As for the boy dancing with you, he was rather attractive. You grew to learn that his name was Felix and that he came from Australia. He was also a young wealthy man who was looking for a getaway from the toxicity of the business. It seemed to be a common pattern for most people like you.
"I see you know my mate, Jisung." he told you when he brought you afar from the noise, walking along the water.
You glanced back to Han's direction as he was moving with the blondie, her ass grinding on him. "He's nothing more than a mere acquaintance."
"Oh." Felix nodded his head. "I apologize, it seemed like more from where I watched the two of you."
You huffed, not believing a word he was saying. "We're rivals. If anything, I despise him."
He laughed at your words. "Hard feelings?"
You shook your head. "Not him in particular, his family in general." you breathed out before stopping to look at the small waves. "This is beautiful."
"It truly is."
A slight smile crept its way on your mouth. "The stars look like the freckles on your face."
He let out a chuckle. "You're a romantic?"
"When the man who keeps me company is to my liking, yes." you flirted.
This was definitely the alcohol speaking, but Felix was good-looking. You were not going to beat yourself for having an interest in him.
"I take it as in you appreciate my presence." he said in a soft tone, taking a step closer to you.
As he was now hovering you, you felt your heart pounding. "Good assumption." you whispered.
Carefully, he leaned in to meet your lips with his. He was undeniably an excellent kisser and he knew what he was doing. He eventually poked your lips with his tongue, asking for permission to slide it in yours. You let your mouth agape and went on to make out sensually. He slowly moved his hands from your waist to your ass which made you gasp at the contact.
"Sorry." he mumbled.
"Don't be." you breathed out heavily.
You moved your lips down his throat, moving to the muscle in-between his neck and his shoulder. It was his turn to let out a groan, making him grasp tighter on your ass cheeks.
"You want to do this here?" he grunted, still in shock from your sucking on his skin.
"We can take this to my room, unless you can't wait." you said in a moan.
Without another word, he grabbed your hand and ran back to the hotel. On the way there, you exchanged glances with Han. He had the woman all over him, but he didn't seem to enjoy it as much as he should. Instead, his eyes were dark as he followed your figure running to the building. You would have questioned it, but Felix picking you up bridal style quickly shifted your thoughts elsewhere.
When the doors of the elevator closed, Felix's lips were back on yours and his hands were, again, fondling your butt. Too immersed in the moment, you didn't think twice as you removed his shirt. He was stunned by your action, especially because you were still in public technically, but he didn't fight back. Your eyes directly went to his abdominal muscles, leaving your mouth open.
"I think it was a good idea to work out again for my part." he chuckled.
"Definitely."
Next thing you know, you're in your room with an Australian cutie on top of you. It was good, excellent you dared to think, but that was it. A one-night stand, nothing more.
When waking up, you felt horrible for not seeing him more than that. He was even prettier in the sunlight, but it was just that. He slowly woke up, grunting while stretching his arms out.
"Hey." he waved at you cutely. "Good morning."
"Hey." you waved back as you sit up. "Last night was nice." you commented, and he nodded in agreement.
"It was." he said, but seemed hesitant. Lifting his body up to lean on his elbows, he looked at you. "I didn't... feel it, though."
You let out a groan of relief. "Thank God, because me neither."
He laughed. "It was really good, though." he trailed off.
He lifted his hand up to the back of your neck and pulled you close to his face. Kissing him was hot, he didn't leave room for it to be an innocent gesture. He moved slowly to press your body down on the bed as he turned to be on top of you.
"You're so fucking hot." he almost growled.
As you felt him suck in your neck, you moaned at the sensation from the contact. "Same for you." you managed to spill out.
He backed away a little and stared right back into your eyes. "I don't mind keeping contact as a friend, but I'd love if we can keep doing this."
"Agreed." you quickly answered before bringing him back to the crook of your neck, already in need of feeling him.
"Fuck, so eager." he rasped out, leaving a couple of sloppy kisses along your throat. "You're into morning sex, aren't you?
"You talk too much." you groaned, going back to kissing him.
His phone went off. It distracted you for a second, but you rapidly went back to business as Felix started to massage your thigh. He was about to go further, when the ringtone went off again. With a loud sigh, he separated his body from yours and went to pick up his device. Answering, he still kept touching you, leaving you vulnerable in all ways.
"Yes?"
"Felix, I get L/N is hot, but try to keep quiet?" you heard Han say through the phone.
Felix stopped touching you as a frown made its way on his face. "What do you mean?"
"My room is next to hers, I can hear you two fuck."
A blush crept on your cheeks, both from embarrassment and anger. Did he really have the guts to listen to you in such an intimate moment?
"Well, don't listen?" Felix replied in a small voice.
"Trust me, I would, but you two are loud as fuck and the walls are thin like paper."
That meant you would have heard him if he slept with the girl, but you didn't. You couldn't get why this reassured you.
"Alright, sorry." Felix breathed out, passing a hand through his silver locks. "Are you still up for shopping later?"
"Yeah, for sure. Meet me there at 11?"
You looked at the clock and it was already 9.
"Yes. See you there, mate." He hung up and gave you an apologetic smile. "I'm so sorry."
You shrugged. "I'm here for another month or so, we can definitely do this again."
He gave you a satisfied smirk. "I'll wait. But for now, how do you feel about working you up a little?"
You huffed. "I'm definitely keeping you around just for that."
Minutes later, you were even more of a mess than the previous night as you let out uncontrollable gasps and moans. Felix did take care of you afterwards, making you a coffee from the machine in the corner of the room.
"You seem to have a lot of experience." you complimented as you took the mug he gave you.
He shook his head. "Not so much, actually. I recently broke up with my now-ex fiancée."
You winced at the thought before drinking your coffee. "I'm so sorry."
"It's nothing. I caught her cheating and it wasn't the first time."
"That's even worse..." you mumbled.
"It is. It sucked a lot. It's one of the reasons why I needed to leave Australia for a bit, change scenery."
"Understandable really." you nodded.
"What about you? How come are you in the middle of nowhere with your hotel suite right next to your so-called enemy?" he questioned.
You rolled your eyes, already annoyed at the simple thought of him. "Pure coincidence, really. We did agree to put all of it aside for the time of the vacation, but he does get on my nerves a lot."
"Jisung can be insufferable, I'll give you that." he laughed. "But he's not that bad. In fact, he might me among the few real people I've met here. And trust me, I've talked to almost everyone in this hotel."
You shook your head while laughing with him. "I have no doubt he is, but we'll never get along. It's like that and always has been."
"If you say so."

You hooked up one more time with Felix before he had to fly back to his home country. Promising each other to keep contact, you watched him leave the hotel after he hugged you tightly.
"Already missing your boo?" Han joked.
He had tagged along with sending Felix off with you, much to your displeasure. This was the first time you saw him again after the party at the beach.
"I'm sure he told you it was purely platonic." you spat out before heading back inside.
"I'm kidding." he said in a much softer tone as he ran to catch up with your speed. "Are you coming to the bonfire tonight?"
You lifted an eyebrow at him. "There is a bonfire?"
"Yeah, another thing the hotel is hosting."
You shrugged your shoulders. "I suppose I can go check it out."
"I'll be there if you want to join me."
You chuckled at him. "If it's to watch you with bimbo girl again, no thanks."
To this, a smirk slowly appeared on his face. "Jealous much, princess?"
You wanted to punch him. "Of course, I would totally be heartbroken to see you rub your dick against a fake booty." you exclaimed in a sarcastic way.
He deadpanned at you. "I get the point, L/N."
"Then you understand I'll most likely not be joining you tonight."
"I'm the only person you know here apart from Felix. And since he just left, you have no other option than sticking with me."
"Logical, indeed." you replied. "Alright, I suppose I could use some company, although I doubt you'll be able to entertain me much, Mr. Han."
"You'll see."
You had finally reached your suites by then. Thus, he walked inside while not forgetting to send a wink your way. You felt your face getting warmer as you went in your own.
With a deep breath to shake it off, you walked to your luggage in order to inspect the few articles of clothing that would be appropriate for tonight. Your dresses were either too tight or you had already wore a couple of them. There was no way you were going to show up in pants. Then, you spotted a pair of short shorts with a tight tank top laying next to it. Your mind worked as it figured if it would be a good outfit as you imagined it with your oversized knitted cardigan. This seemed to work.
A few hours went by and you had chosen to add a few necklaces to add to your look. Boringly staring at the television in front of your bed, you didn't notice it was nearing the start of the bonfire. With a loud pounding at your door, you let out an annoyed grunt before answering and letting the man in.
"You look rather lovely." he commented.
His clothing wasn't different from usual, apart from the sleeveless shirt he had on that made his arms look very fit. His hair was in a messier state that what you had seen before but it fitted him well.
"And you look like some fuckboy." you responded and he huffed at you. "May you lead the way, please?"
"Sure, ma'am."
He didn't wait for you. He didn't even look back at you as he left to head towards the elevator. Not wanting for him to close the doors in your face, you hurried to join him with a little sprint. You truly asked yourself why you hadn't chopped his head yet.
"So courteous of you." you joked, already out of breath from your running.
"I try to be." he said with the same damn smug look he always had on. "Stamina is not your forte?"
"I don't have time for maintaining these types of things."
The elevator opened and, this time, he extended his arm out for you to hold on. Reluctantly, you gripped onto it before he started to walk towards the beach. Well, towards the bar. Now you were really wondering how he hadn't had a harsh hangover yet.
"Shall I buy you a margarita?" he asked as you were getting closer to the barman.
"Sex on the beach."
"Freaky." he hummed, resulting to you giving him a punch on the stomach with your elbow.
He grunted at the contact, but didn't say more. He left you alone as he went to order your drinks. In the meantime, you watched the young adults partying near the already growing fire. You didn't think you would be experiencing something like this again after college, even less after you entered your father's company. Frankly, this was the first time you went to social events like these.
"Here." Han held out the cocktail to you while drinking his own. "I haven't had a sex on the beach in years. You've got good taste, L/N."
You chuckled. "I stick to what I know, that's all." you shrugged.
You began to walk again but in a slower pace to not spill out the liquids in your possession. Much to your excitement, you spotted a group of three men sitting on logs in a small circle as one played the guitar. Not even consulting Han first, you made your way to them. Although your sudden change of direction took him by surprise, he followed you as you greeted the young men.
"Good evening." you waved and one of them smiled at you brightly. "I'm Y/N, and this is my..." you paused for an instant, searching for what you should be calling him.
"We're business partners." Han finished for you. "I'm Han Jisung."
The guy holding the guitar opened his eyes wide at the mention of the name. "As in the future chairman of Han techs?" he questioned, to which Han nodded. "You had a brief time in the music industry, am I wrong?"
This took you by surprise, especially when you saw Han acquiesce. The man, who later introduced himself as Seungmin, told him he followed his platform back then and had been trying to learn the guitar for a while. You watched your companion of the evening sit next to him as he explained the chords and more. You had never seen him speak with such passion, it was almost attractive. The simple fact he knew how the play the guitar would have been good enough for you to be interested if he wasn't Han Jisung.
"And you're Y/N L/N of the L/N Corporation?" the guy sitting next to Seungmin asked.
"That's me." you said before sitting down next to him.
"I'm Changbin, and this is my friend Minho."
You bowed at him as he waved at you kindly. He focused back on watching Seungmin and Han interact.
"I'm surprised to see you with a Han, I thought your families didn't have the greatest relationship." Changbin stated.
"We didn't intend to be coming here at the same time." you briefly explained. "I wouldn't be around him in normal circumstances."
"I believe you, don't worry." he laughed.
"I heard you wanted to release more music." Seungmin said to Han who was the one holding the instrument now.
He chuckled awkwardly as he tuned the strings. "I won't be able to do that anymore."
"Why not?" you asked.
His head shot up to look back at you. There was glistening in his irises, which was probably the reflection of the fire. He sent you a knowing smile.
"Work." he responded simply, his eyes still on you.
It was as if this simple word meant a thousand things. There was something you couldn't understand in his tone, but you got one part right; he gave up music for the company.
"Play something."
Startled by your request, he blinked a couple of times before letting out a quiet cough. "I'm sure I'm rusty."
"Please." Seungmin insisted. "It'd be great to hear you perform acoustically."
Sighing in defeat, he adjusted his posture. Placing his fingers correctly, he frowned as concentration took over. Then, he strummed the strings which left a beautiful sound. It sounded oddly familiar, but you let him play. Just when you thought he couldn't have amazed you more, he started to sing. Now, in a normal context, you'd say you fell in love right there and then. But it's Han Jisung. So, you were being content with simply enjoying the melody for now. He was talented, that was evident, but you would never say it in his face.
He sang the outro of the song with his gaze on yours. He noticed the pink appearing on your face and he didn't want to assume he was the one making you feel like this. Embarrassed, you looked at the bottom of your glass that was already empty. Han ended the song beautifully and the boys clapped their hands.
"Thank you, J.One." Seungmin snickered as he patted Han's back.
It hit you. The familiarity you had with the track was because it was one on your playlist, credited by J.One.
"You're that rapper dude who sometimes sings that I keep hearing on the radio?" you exclaimed in total shock.
As shocked by your words as you were, he nodded. "My father doesn't know. Please, Y/N, I beg you to not tell him."
Y/N... it sounded pretty coming out of his mouth. Without even knowing, you did grow familiar to one another since the beginning of this vacation. It was only a matter of time before you dropped the honorifics, such as calling each other by your last name.
"I won't." you smiled at him.
This was the first genuine smile he got from you that was actually directed to him. His heart skipped a beat. He wished he had seen it before, it made you glow.
"Thank you." he said softly.
As he stared between the two of you, Minho coughed to break the moment. "How about we join the actual party?" he prompted and the others stood up as to agree with his suggestion.
Changbin offered you a hand, but you kindly declined. "Are you sure?" he raised an eyebrow.
"I'm sure, thank you. I'll join you all later.'
"If you say so." he shrugged before running to Seungmin and Minho.
Han, however, was still at the same spot on the log with the guitar laying next to him. He watched the gathering around the fire and sighed loudly. You gave him a curious look, but didn't dare to ask what was on his mind. It wasn't your place to do so. As if he would be telling you anyway.
"We have three weeks left." he said no one in particular, his stare still on the dancing people. "It goes by so fast."
"It does." you affirmed. "I can't wait to be back home, though. It can get lonely here."
"I'm here." he pointed out.
"I wouldn't call you an enjoyable presence."
He winced, faking to be hurt by your words. "I can't blame you. Still hurts."
"You'll get over it, whiny boy." you shook your head in exasperation.
Another silence took over. Rather than wanting to shoot yourself for having him around, it almost felt like you were at home. His presence alone, whether you liked it or not, was comforting.
"For real, though." he spoke again. "I don't want to go back."
"Why not?"
He moved his stare towards you. "You know why."
You shrugged. "It was our fate since the day we were born."
"Exactly." he snapped. "All of our life is already planned in every way even before we can speak. I didn't ask to work for my dad, and I surely didn't decide on hating you."
For the first time, you heard him out. You were listening to the real Han Jisung. In a way, you had to agree with him; life within a world like yours wasn't easy. People were expecting so much of you, the pressure was constant. In all honesty, you thought Han was used to this lifestyle and actually enjoyed it. You were proven wrong.
"If I'm being truthful, I would have never hated you in the first place." he continued. "I mean, I have no valid reason."
You felt a lump form in your throat. "You know your father will kill you for even addressing me like this."
"Like what?" he cocked his head to the side.
"So casually..." you murmured.
He laughed a little. "You're quite the only here who can relate to what I'm going through. I'm simply taking the opportunity to rant, that's all."
"We are rivals, Han."
"Jisung."
You blinked twice. "Pardon me?"
"Call me Jisung, please."
You nodded, uncomfortable by his request. "Well, Jisung, while we are at it, should I complain as well?"
He gestured to you. "Be my guest."
"Okay..." you breathed in. "I wish I could hang out with Chan like we used to back in college. Ever since he got to his new role, I barely see him out of his office."
He hummed as you talked. "Right, Bang..." he trailed off. "You really love him, don't you?"
You frowned at him. "He's a close friend, yeah. Probably the only one I have, to be honest."
He broke into laughter. "I'm sorry, Y/N, but this is kind of sad."
"Who are you to say that? The only friend I am aware you have is Felix Lee." you scoffed.
He suddenly went back to his serious face, now sending you a glare. "I hate you."
"Breaking news." you said sarcastically.
"It was a joke." he snorted. "I literally just told you I don't really."
You realized you didn't get that this was what he had insinuated when he said he wouldn't hate you if it wasn't for his family. Thinking about it now, you also couldn't pinpoint a good argument on why you couldn't get along. Frankly, you had every aspect to be bonding: both heirs of grand companies, both pressured by the public, and both on a vacation to run away from it all. Adding the fact he was able to keep your holiday interesting in a way, he was fine really.
"I don't hate you either."
This seemed to take him by surprise. "You don't?"
You shook your head as a no. "I grew up hating your family, I naturally assumed you are as much of an asshole. I mean, you are, but in a nice way."
"Thank you?" he said, sounding more like a question. "I don't agree with most of what they are doing. I would rather be doing my music than working for them."
You chuckled. "I would have never guessed you are J.One."
"Well, I don't go around telling people. I'm surprised Seungmin knew, he must have been following my stuff for a while."
Talking about him, Seungmin had ran back to you. Taking your hands in his, he forced you up to go join the others. You argued you didn't feel like partying, but gave in eventually. Soon after, it was Jisung's turn to get fetched by Minho. Changbin had bought some beers for you all and you jammed to the music as you drank and enjoyed the warmth of the fire. At some point, you didn't notice how, but Jisung was casually swirling you around in a messy manner, the sand not cooperating with the stability of his feet. As for you, you were laughing uncontrollably for pretty much nothing as he kept guiding your body along the beats coming from the speakers. You hadn't had this much fun in a while, it felt amazing.
To your disappointment, the night came to an end. People dispersed on the beach as they regrouped in smaller crowds. Not much dancing was happening. You saw most of them heading back to the hotel, Minho and Seungmin among them. Changbin stayed behind as to make sure you and Jisung were doing okay. The man had one too many drinks, but you were surprisingly able to walk in a straight line still.
"Is he always like this?" Changbin laughed as Han tripped over his own feet again.
"I wouldn't know." you snickered with him. "But I'll have to admit, he's kind of cute being all lost and shit."
"I heard that!" Jisung smirked, now standing.
He clumsily joined you and slumped his arm around your small figure to get some balance. "Easy there." you laughed out.
"I'm fine."
Changbin helped you bring him to his room as you laid him on his bed. He argued with you that he didn't need to be taken care of, but the way he stood on the mattress told you otherwise. You assure Changbin that you could handle him from then on and he left the two of you alone, doubt still plastered on his face.
"Do you need anything?" you asked the drunk man as he attempted to walk up to you.
"I need you with me." he pouted which was too adorable for your liking.
"I'm already here with you."
In response, he grabbed your arm and dragged you to his bed along with him. Though he tried to do it carefully, he pushed you under the convers and tucked you in as if you were a toddler. You didn't fight back.
"I meant to stay with me for tonight." he grinned before going into the blankets next to you. "Do you like Felix?"
The abrupt change of topic caught you by surprise. Slowly, you moved your gaze to him as questions popped in your head. Was he in his right mind?
"I think he's a great guy, yeah." you responded although you were quite lost.
"He was a good fuck?"
You slapped him across his chest. "This is so inappropriate."
He scoffed. "Is it? I heard your moans for hours that night. Consider yourself lucky I only complained once."
"Were you listening all along? You pervert..."
You could not see his face due to the lack of lighting, but you could easily tell he was rolling his eyes at you. "Not intentionally." he sighed. "But quite honestly, I hated hearing you scream his name."
"Was I that annoying?" you joked.
"No, the opposite."
To this, you stood up from the pillow under your head and tried to find his eyes within the darkness. With the little light coming from the moon, you made out his features and saw some sort of sadness. If you weren't confused before, you definitely were now.
"Sorry, what?" you whispered.
It was his turn to get up from the mattress until his face was to your level. He put his hand up to your face, hesitant, but placed it to the side of your head in the end.
"If you haven't figured it out yet, L/N..." he started but stop when his breath got caught in his throat.
He was nervous. You could tell.
"What didn't I figure out?" you asked softly.
Your breathing wasn't doing any better than his. It was oddly uneven while you were almost shaking from how vulnerable he made you feel. Stroking the apple of your cheeks, he took a deep breath.
"I like you."

seven. - now -
"A pleasure, Mr. Bang." Han bowed to your friend.
You were still on the couch. While people would immediately think you were napping, you were more awake than ever. The simple sound of his voice was enough to make you fall asleep on a usual basis, but you felt like it could not keep you more conscious at the moment.
"The feeling is reciprocated." Chan bowed as well. "I apologize for Miss L/N sleeping in my office. We had some paperwork this morning and she didn't get much sleep."
Han hummed. "Not surprising considering her reputation."
It stung. Jisung would be the most caring and soft person when you would be alone together. But when put in a situation where a scandal would break if they ever say you interact with your supposed competitor, he was a totally different person. His words were harsh with no feeling. He was like the Han Jisung you used to despise so much.
"What reputation, may I ask?" Chan asked.
"Has she not been seen out with many gentlemen these past few months?"
He was referring to you father's selection of potential husbands he had forced you to go on dates with.
Chan let out an amused chuckle. "You're assuming she spent the night with them?"
"I'm simply talking about what is said."
Chan paused. How much you wished to open your eyes to see how he was reacting.
"Shall we jump to business, Mr. Han?" he changed the subject.
"Right." he coughed. "I apologize."
"I'd have to say congratulations for your new position."
"Thank you very much, I only hope I can be as great of a man as my father was."
"I know the feeling." Chan sighed.
They started to discuss new arrangements and all. You did doze off to sleep eventually, though it took you a while as you were trying to ignore the mixed feelings you had from when Jisung was bad mouthing you. An hour later, Chan woke you up, telling you he was alone now and that you should get home to get ready for the evening.
"Can I crash at your place?" you pouted.
"Y/N..." he said in a stern voice.
"Your bed is much more comfortable!" you argued. "And I don't want to face my dad. I bet he'll be talking to me about the important figures we'll see tonight and I am in no mood to listen to him."
He shook his head. "I have to get ready myself, I'm sorry. I promise I'll be sticking to you like glue for the entire ceremony, though."
"Oof." you made a face. "That's a tough promise you're making there, Mr. Bang. Plus, I know you'll have to speak with Han again. Don't involve me in this."
He let out an exasperate sigh. "What is it with you two? It's as if the hate sky rocked since last summer. What even happened there for you two to be so... disgusted by the other?"
Your mouth went agape. Staring at him blankly, you didn't know what to say. As much as you had tried to hide your relationship that was far from hatred, maybe you had overdone it.
"What are you talking about?"
He sighed again, visibly irritated by your cluelessness. "You know, Y/N. You always talk about him and throw whatever insult that comes to your mind. You didn't even leave just now when I told you he was coming."
Yeah, Chan definitely knew.
"Nothing happened last year."
"Bullshit." he muttered with a 'tsk'.
You got up from the sofa abruptly as you grabbed your purse. "I better get ready."
You stormed out of his office, leaving him no time to stop you from doing so. You felt horrible lying to him like this, but there was no way you were going to let anyone know about you and Jisung. Maybe this was your sign that it was all too risky. You should have done what you told yourself to do when you came back from vacation: stop everything with him. Why did you fall into his trap when he had called you not even 24 hours later while convincing you that it could be a secret?
"Hi, Y/N." Jeongin beamed at you as you arrived home.
"Is my dad here?" you asked, not even having the energy to speak properly to him.
"He left earlier. He went to the convention center in advance."
"Alright." you exhaled. "Want to help me out with getting ready?"
His eyes grew bigger. "I could call Miss Shin instead, no?"
You laughed as he mentioned one of your colleagues. "Jeongin, you're more than capable to help me. I know you like fashion anyway."
"I do..." he confirmed. "But this... it's not very my job to do so."
You rolled your eyes. "You're being dramatic. I'm asking you as a friend."
He ended up agreeing. In your room, he laid out the dress he bought for you on your bed. He asked you to pick out shoes to go along with it while he allowed himself to go through your jewelry box.
"Hoops?" he asked while showing you the pair of earrings. "And this golden chain?"
"Sure." you shrugged. "Do you think I should go with the black heels or the platforms? No, wait. I have these navy ones here." you exclaimed, rummaging through your rack of heels.
"Black ones are fine." he laughed. "I don't think navy matches well with red."
"Good point."
As you picked the shoes and brought them next to the gown, Jeongin spoke again. "I heard you yesterday." You froze in action. "Well, in fact, it was not the first time I heard you discuss with Mr. Han over the phone."
You were fucked.
"As in..." you started but couldn't even finish your sentence properly.
"As in I know you two are faking your little dislike towards each other."
You mentally cursed at yourself for not being careful enough. This only confirmed one thing in your mind: you needed to put an end to this as soon as you could.
"I'll stop this tonight, I swear."
Jeongin chuckled. "I really don't care, Y/N. The past year was the happiest I've ever seen you. If I were you, I wouldn't cut out the only thing that brought me comfort in a really long time."
You bit down your lip, hesitant. "I have to. I'm sure he already got a lot to prove as a new chairman by now. If we keep this going, this will only mark his image for life."
"You do you." he breathed out. "I'm just saying that you do seem fond of him and that it's a shame you'd want to throw it all away."
You didn't say anything. Instead, you picked the dress up and walked to your mirror in the corner of your room. Putting it up in front of your figure, you couldn't help but see yourself dressed like this with Jisung by your side. That would be the perfect picture, if it wasn't for your families. It was an impossible picture.
"Do you want help with your hair?" Jeongin grinned.

You cursed in a mumble at the sight of the man. As you were about to turn around to avoid him, he spotted you before you could do anything. Excusing himself to the woman he was already trying to woo, he ran to where you were standing.
"How delightful to see you here." he said cheerfully, panting from his little run.
"The feeling is the same, Mr. Ko." you faked a smile. "I didn't expect to be seeing you again."
"I had to come and apologize about my behaviour the other day. It was grandly inappropriate if me."
"It was." you agreed.
"If you allow me, I'd love to invite you for a drink."
You smiled awkwardly, until you felt a hand come around your waist.
"If she gets a drink tonight, it would be from me solemnly."
Mr. Ko's gaze went straight to Jisung as blush crept on his face. Bowing apologetically to him, he mumbled some sort of excuses before taking off to where he was previously sat at.
"Great, my knight in shining armour." you groaned as you slapped Jisung's hand away from your body. "I had this under control."
"I know, babe, but it was my time to shine." he smirked at you, placing his hand back on you. "Don't act like you didn't like me getting all protective."
"Going on that date with you last week was a mistake." you grumbled before walking away from him.
"Baby." he whined, catching up to you.
"You're such a child."
He grabbed your wrist to stop you and spun you around, your body now clashing to his chest. Before you could process a reaction, his lips found their way to yours as he laid a small peck.
"You love me like that." he said softly.
You slapped his chest and got away from his grip. "I said not in public." you nagged.
He looked around for a moment and pecked your lips again.
"Han Jisung!" you yelled out.
"There is no one."
He was now holding your hand, his thumb rubbing it gently. You scanned your surroundings for a second, and finally gave in as you let him pull you into a loving kiss.
"You do know they use this lobby for wedding ceremonies, right?" he said once he pulled away.
"Already thinking about marrying me?" you perked an eyebrow.
"I told you, princess, I've been in love with you for years."
With a huff, you started to head towards your room, him having abandoned his some days ago. "Yeah, well, keep dreaming. Once we come back home, this arrangement is over."
He shook his head violently. "Stop bringing it up, please."
"We're leaving in a week, Ji." you exhaled in frustration. "We have to face reality."
"Or." he started, taking both of your hands which stopped you from walking. "We could enjoy the remaining time we have together and worry about the rest later?"
You let go of his hands as you rolled your eyes, going straight back to where your room was. He followed behind closely and you let the door open for him to come in as well.
"Y/N, please." he said, closing the door behind him.
Throwing your belongings on the coffee table, you acted as if you were not listening. Turning on the television as you let yourself fall on the couch was his limit. He took the remote from you and aggressively turned off the screen. With a glare, he threw it away next to you before putting his hands on his hips.
"Are you avoiding this conversation?"
You groaned. "I'm not. It's just..." you cut yourself by rubbing your face. "This is messed up."
"I'll give you that." he sighed and went to sit with you. "We can stop if you want."
"I don't want to stop." you admitted. "But that's the issue. I'm simply trying to prepare myself for what's coming."
He put his hand on your thigh as a way to comfort you. "I know it sucks, which is why I'm suggesting we should only enjoy the time we have left as much as we can. Can you do that for me?"
You moved to meet his eyes and they were filled with hope.
When he confessed two weeks ago, you hadn't realized yet how sincere he was. It wasn't easy to perceive considering he had almost passed out after spilling out the words 'I like you'. Still, the morning after, you had the courage to ask him about it and that's when he told you everything. From the first time he saw you and thought you were simply gorgeous to when you defended yourself to the journalists by saying you didn't need your father's help to get to where you were now. He admired your honesty, your journey in your work, but mostly, he admired your sensitivity. He wasn't blind, he saw how you took care of Chan when he became CEO. The man was close to a mental breakdown until you came in with the biggest smile to cheer him up. He loved how unbothered you could be, how brilliant you were, and how you remained respectful to him even with your disagreements.
So seeing him almost sacrifice his career for the sake of being with you even if it meant for only a week or so, you could not resist it. Because, frankly, you had fallen for him as well. For the sensitive and ambitious man you grew to know.
"Okay." you nodded. "We'll worry about after later."
He smiled and brought you closer, kissing you for the hundredth time of the day. Gosh, how you loved the way he kissed you. It was always filled with such care and love, you were wondering how he was even the same man you thought to hate.
"I spotted this karaoke restaurant-bar in the city." he said, still holding you tight.
"What about it?"
"Should we have a date instead of ordering food?"
You looked at him incredulously. "I thought you hated going out."
"I don't mind if I get to treat you some good food."
You slapped his chest once more, a way to hide the blush appearing on your face. "You're so cheesy."
It took you both no time to get ready and dress up for the occasion. Jisung had called a cab so you wouldn't have to walk all the way there. It was crowded, to say the least. It looked like the karaoke had already started as you saw two girls in front of the mic with drinks in their hands. They sang with their tone very off and it wasn't the most pleasing thing to hear when arriving. Jisung tugged your arm and led you to a table a bit further. A waiter came up to you, asking you if you wanted something to drink to start the evening.
"Just a beer is fine." Jisung smiled at him.
"Margarita for me."
He nodded before leaving you with the menus.
"Back at it with the margaritas?" Jisung teased at you.
You shrugged. "Gets me drunk the fastest."
"Go easy on the alcohol tonight."
You frowned. "So you care about my well being?"
"No, I just don't want to deal with your hangover tomorrow." he said with a smug on his face.
"Jerk." you huffed.
When the waiter came back with your drinks, you took the opportunity to order your food as well. It was nothing too extravagant: some fries with chicken. A few people had sung on the stage and you saw a group of girls marking their names on the lineup list. Jisung seemed to notice as he got up and stood behind them. Turning to look at you, you saw the smirk on his face.
"What are you doing?" you mouthed to him.
He only shrugged and turned back his attention on the iPad where you could sign up. He spoke with the man hosting the show for a brief moment and noted down something on the screen. As he walked back to your table, you were shaking your head in exasperation.
"What did you do, now?" you said with a warning tone.
"You'll see, baby." he replied with a wink. "Let's enjoy our food for now."
You dug into your meal, not even caring about your manners anymore as you picked up the chicken drumstick with your hands. Jisung was as messy as you were, chewing on the meat. His cheeks were full, it was adorable. You saw some barbecue sauce dripping from the corner of his mouth. Although you knew he was probably going to mock you for it, you grabbed his face with your clean hand and placed a kiss on his lips. Licking the remaining of the sauce, you hummed at the taste.
Meanwhile, Jisung's mind had stopped working. This might had been the hottest thing he'd seen you do, especially since you gave him a flirtish look while your tongue was wiping off the food on your lips.
"Han Jisung and Y/N L/N." the host called out, taking the both of you by surprise.
You rushed to clean up your mouths and hands before walking up to the stage. You knew Jisung was a good singer, but as for you, it was another story. In all honesty, you hadn't sung in years.
"You chose Volcano by J.One." the host read out loud as confusion took place on his face. "Never heard of this one... Oh well, the stage is yours, lovebirds."
You went to look at Jisung in panic, but instead, you came face to face with a microphone that he was holding out to you. You did know the song, you had even added it to your favourites.
"This is like the worst of your songs that you could have picked out." you complained.
"I know, it's a hard one, but I know you have it in your playlist." he said cheekily.
As you were about to protest, the music started to play as the lyrics appeared on the screen in front of you. You couldn't move, taken over by fear and nervousness. But Jisung was doing perfectly fine. He was in his element. As the first verse started, he sang along in a mesmerizing voice. He was simply amazing. You were almost lost in him when he nudged your arm, signaling for you to sing along with him. Even though you were frightened to do so, his presence alone gave you the confidence to bring the mic close to your mouth and sing along with him. You were a little off, but Jisung encouraged you to continue and didn't even bother to correct you. The song came to an end and he did not hesitate before kissing you softly before bringing you into a warm hug.
"You did great, princess." he whispered in your ear.
That night, let's say things got steamy. Walking back clumsily in your room, he was almost biting your lips as the eagerness took over him. With your arms wrapped around his neck, you jumped around his waist while he held you firmly by the thighs. Although you had made out tons of times already, he never wanted to go further, saying he wanted to make it special. Tonight seemed to be it.
"Was it better with Felix?" he rasped out as he walked to your bedroom.
"Jealous, Han?" you snickered at him as he put you down on the edge of the bed carefully.
"I am." he said with confidence. "I'll make you feel good, baby."
"We'll see." you laughed.
To sum it up, he did way better than Felix, even when you thought it would be hard to do so. While Felix was rough, Jisung was careful and liked to build up the tension instead of going straight for it. It was frustrating in a way, but it did make the actual action ten times more worth it.
You woke up in his arms, fully naked, and his eyes were still closed shut. With his lips slightly parted open, he looked like a child taking his nap. Turning around to get a better view of him, it was enough to wake him up. He made a pout with his mouth while opening his eyes in a squint, taken aback from the morning sunlight coming right on his face.
"Rough morning?" you chuckled.
"I don't want to get up." he grumbled and brought you closer to him. "Let's stay in bed today."
"All day?"
"All day." he affirmed before kissing your temple. "Unless you had something else in mind."
"Well, you kind of made me unable to use my legs." you said, recalling the previous night. "Staying in bed it is."
"You asked for it."

Six days turned into five, that turned into four, that turned into three, until it got to zero. The day you had tried to ignore for the past week. Your flight wasn't scheduled until the afternoon, so you had plenty of time to pack your baggage. But the morning was rough.
"Coffee or tea?" Jisung asked casually as he stood in front of the counter.
Your lack of answer meant a hundred of things. As he looked up to see you, you were standing in front of the sliding door to the balcony, not moving a bit. He didn't need to ask you what was on your mind, he knew it already. With a loud sigh, he walked up to you and gave you a back-hug as he put his head on your shoulder.
"I'll miss this view." you breathed out. "The water is so pretty."
"It is." he hummed. "I'll make you a tea, okay?" he said and placed a peck on your cheek.
Again, you didn't answer. He let go of you and went ahead with preparing your beverages. Before you noticed time had passed, he was back with a mug that he held out to you. You mouthed a small 'thanks' but didn't take your eyes off the scenery.
"You know we can keep contact, right?" he broke the silence.
You shook your head. "In another life, yes."
It cut right through his heart, you were right. He hated how right you were.
"We could try?"
"Jisung, stop. How would this even work? We get caught once and it'll be enough for us to get disowned." you rationalized. "This sucks, I know, but it's our reality."
"You rather get married off some rich old man?" he joked but it had some truth in it.
"It looks like this is what is waiting for me, yes. Or Chan." you shrugged. "It has been the plan since birth, just like yours to become chairman is."
"I don't want it."
You scoffed. "Yeah, well, do you have a choice? We're stuck in this."
How much he wanted to shut you up and tell you that things could be different. He wanted to beg you to not go back home and run away with him. Your thing lasted barely a month, but it was enough for him to know he wanted you with him, even if it meant to disappoint his family.
"I just wish it was easier."
"I know."
He slowly came closer to you and put his hand on your jaw which made you turn your focus on him. The tears you were holding in were finally streaming down your face as you had eye contact with him. His touch, despite being a simple gesture, made you weak.
"I'm sorry." he almost whispered. "It's my fault we started this while knowing perfectly it couldn't happen."
You nodded slowly. "Yeah, fuck you for that." you chuckled. "I really should have gotten with Felix instead."
He let out a huff. "You're still a pain in the ass."
"Just getting back to my old antics." you shrugged with a smirk appearing through your crying face.
"I see how it is, L/N." he played along. "Is there a way for me to shut that annoying mouth of yours?"
"Just try to make me shut up."
He then kissed you. You started to feel something wet on your cheeks, but it wasn't your own tears. It was him. He was crying. A knot formed in your belly as it started to truly hit how this was the last time you'd be able to kiss him. You hated how easy you fell for him and how cruel the whole situation was. When he backed away, he still leaned his forehead on yours as he plunged his gaze into yours.
"We don't mention this to anyone." he said and you could clearly hear the pain in his voice.
"This never happened." you confirmed.
He gave you a quick peck and let go of you to finish off with packing. You were still standing at the same spot, unable to process fully what was happening. Your mind was elsewhere, too preoccupied with the memories of your vacation with him.
"Can I keep your hoodie?" you blurted out.
He stared at you in confusion. "My big white hoodie? Why?"
"A souvenir I guess?"
His mouth turned into as smile and he grabbed his sweatshirt before throwing it your way. "It looks better on you, anyway."
The way to the airport was silent. In the taxicab, the driver had put some music to fill in the lack of discussion. In a discreet way, Jisung reached his hand out to hold yours and gave it a squeeze. Chills travelled down your body as you fixated your linked fingers. The effect he had on you was insane.
The ride was too quick for your liking as the driver pulled over in front of the airport. He kindly helped the two of you with getting your luggage out of his trunk. Jisung paid him and you were now off to find your flight. Since he had one stop to do for a work meeting in Europe, he wasn't going to be coming back home on the same plane. And so, here came the grand moment you had both dreaded for.
He straightened up his posture to face you properly and an emotionless expression took over. Still, you could tell how much he hated acting like this. You put on the same façade and bowed at him respectfully. You didn't want to take the risk of getting caught by someone.
"I sure hope you have a safe flight, Han."
"I hope the same for you, L/N."
Calling each other like this used to feel normal, but it had become such a foreign thing to do. It felt wrong, impersonal, almost mean. It was weird.
"I'll see you around." you nodded your head at him.
With a hum, he passed by next to you closely to head towards the gate he needed to be at. Even if people would see it as him bumping into you intentionally, he still took the time to briefly catch your hand. You felt something cold land into it. Before you could question him about it, he was already far as he walked quickly away from you. You looked at your hand and saw something shiny dangle. Bringing it close to your face, you saw what he had dropped.
It was a simple golden chain accessorized with a charm: a rose.

Your father had sent a limousine to come pick you up. Of course, you had to have a grand entrance at the ceremony. There would be journalists and cameras, and so it was primordial for you to be looking at your very best. Jeongin helped you get in the car like a gentleman. You would have asked him to come with you, but the guy did deserve a break. He kissed your cheek goodbye and wished you an enjoyable evening.
When your limousine arrived in front of the convention center, you could already see cameras flashes and microphones being held out towards your direction. Taking a deep breath, your door opened as your driver offered his hand to help you out. You put on a fake smile for the pictures but denied any kind of interviews. You were not in the mood for that. As you entered the building, you were impressed by how Chan's team had decorated the place. It was very formal but it still had a hint of comfort. Before you knew it, your father had spotted you. Welcoming you with arms open, he gave you a small hug.
"Y/N, my dear, I am happy you made it here safely." he grinned. "I would love to present you to someone."
You deadpanned at him. "Another of your potential suitors for me?"
"He is young and vibrant. An excellent businessman for his age, I shall mention."
As you grumbled under your breath in annoyance, your father brought you over to a group of men, all of them wearing a tuxedo. They all looked the same...
Then, you caught a glimpse of a man who was visibly younger than most of them. He stood closely to who you assumed to be his parents as he bowed instinctively to the others. Upon seeing your father, he smiled politely.
"Mr. L/N." he bowed.
"Hi, Mr. Hwang." your father beamed at him. "I found my daughter that I wanted to introduce you to."
You shut your eyes in internal pain. He really had to present you like you were some kind of product to sell? You never liked being your father's pet, even less now that he just wanted to marry you off someone wealthy.
"A pleasure to meet you." Mr. Hwang nodded his head at you. "I'm Hyunjin."
"Nice to meet you." you replied back with a bow. "I believe I saw you in a publicity recently, no?"
He laughed embarrassingly. "Right, I'm a model."
Ah. He was one of those guys.
"I assume you were invited to help with Mr. Bang's publicity team."
"Exactly." he confirmed. "You know the business well."
"I actually am about to become CEO of L/N Corporation."
He bowed again. "I apologize, I really didn't mean it like that, I was simply trying to make the conversation."
You knew he was being honest, he seemed too clueless of a man to be saying such things intentionally. Maybe models weren't as bad as you thought.
"It's okay, really." you chuckled. "Have you met Mr. Bang yet?" He shook his head. "He's a close friend of mine. I can present you to him."
His eyes went wide. "Really?"
His mother nudged his arm for being informal and he coughed shyly as he apologized.
"It's fine, really. Come, I'll introduce you."
You took his hand in yours and led him towards Chan who had a drink with some of his colleagues. He noticed you were approaching him and excused himself to come give you a big hug.
"Well, aren't you pretty today? It's good that you look pleasing to the eye once in a while." he joked.
"Thank you, Chan, really." you grumbled. "Anyway, I wanted you to meet Hwang Hyunjin."
The latter bowed politely to your friend. "Good evening, Mr. Bang. I don't know if you remember me, but I did appear in one of your promotion videos once."
Chan shifted to his professional role and nodded as Hyunjin spoke. "I remember. I even asked one of the leading directors to contact you again."
"Really? I haven't heard from them."
You left them at it and walked back to your father who had ended up flirting with one of the ladies from the Bang's engineer team. You understood that he might need someone ever since your mom left, but did he really have to do it during an event like this?"
"Father." you interrupted him and he glared at you.
"Aren't you with Mr. Hwang?"
"I offered to introduce him to Mr. Bang."
He sighed in disappointment. "Alright, maybe Hwang wasn't the right fit." He put his hand on your back and started to walk closer to the bar. "I have someone else I want you to meet."
"Yay." you said in a bored tone. "I think I can pass for this one-"
"Mr. Lee!" you father called out. "May I present to you my daughter."
Mr. Lee turned around at the mention of his name and his eyes fell upon your figure. Immediately, the both of you stared back at each other in pure shock.
"Y/N!" he exclaimed.
"Felix!" you said in the same tone of voice.
He pulled you into a tight hug, leaving your poor father in confusion. "You know each other..." he trailed off.
"Mr. L/N, I met your daughter during her vacation last year."
You dad nodded his head slowly. "I see. I will leave you two reconnect. Call me if you need anything." he said as he put his hand on your shoulder for a brief moment.
As he walked away from you two, you exchanged laughs. "What a coincidence! How is it that you are here and not in Australia?" you questioned him while he offered you a glass of champagne.
"I'm here to do business with Chan. I didn't know you were familiar with him."
"We are literally best friends." you chuckled. "How do you know him?"
"I'm sure he told you he grew up in Australia." You nodded. "We used to be neighbours."
"Wow." you let out in a breath. "Such a small world, uh?"
"It is." he laughed. "Your father is quite a persona. He was bragging about you for a solid ten minutes earlier."
"Oh gosh." you said while hiding your face in embarrassment.
"Yeah, he wasn't being very subtle about his intentions. Let me reassure you right away, I won't ask you to marry me. We already established how we feel about that last year."
You smiled at him. "Thank you, Felix. I'm glad I don't have Chan as my only friend tonight."
He shrugged. "There is Han too." he pointed to nowhere in particular. "I saw him earlier."
You huffed in disgust. "I don't intend to speak with him."
He gave you a soft smile. "Quit it, Y/N. I know about you two."
Your eyes grew bigger and you nudged his arm. "Say it louder... How the hell do you know?"
"Jisung isn't so good with handling these kinds of things on his own. Don't worry, I didn't tell anyone and I think I'm the only one who's aware of what happened."
You were going to snap at Jisung, that was for sure.
"Great..." you muttered under your breath.
"You do realize how in love he is with you, right?" he asked before taking a sip of his champagne.
"Yes, I'm well aware of it. It can't happen, though. There is too much to risk if it gets out in the news."
"Did you know he refused to take his father's spot?"
You almost choked on your drink. You were certain to have heard correctly back in Chan's office that he did, in fact, get the position. What was Felix even saying?
"He did what now?"
Felix couldn't answer. Your dear best friend had to interrupt your conversation as he took the spot on stage with a microphone. He started to thank the guests for coming and explained the purpose of this gathering. You were not listening one bit. Instead, your eyes wandered around the crowd as you tried to find the one man who had taken such a huge part of your life. Then, you spotted him. Close to the stage, he was next to his father as he was listening attentively to Chan. He looked extremely good, and he was matching you. Dressed in a burgundy red suit with a tie of the same colour, you wanted to curse Jeongin for having chosen your dress. He surely knew Jisung was going to wear something similar. It was as if he knew you were staring when his own gaze found yours. He sent a quick smile your way, one so darn adorable that it could make you melt, and turned his attention back to Chan. You needed to speak with him, and fast.
The second after Chan finished his speech, you excused yourself to Felix and went straight ahead towards Jisung. The latter had left his family and was looking at the pamphlet of the new Bang inc. projects instead. He didn't even see you arrive until you grabbed him by the arm harshly, dragging him behind as you headed towards a random hallway where you could discuss privately. He started to let out incoherent complaints but you ignored him. You soon found an empty conference room and shoved him inside, not forgetting to lock the door behind you and close the curtains.
"Y/N, the fuck?" he exclaimed.
"I could ask you the same." you said angrily, crossing your arms in front of your chest.
You saw him stare up and down at you. He really had the guts to check you out while you were beyond furious with him.
"Han Jisung." you yelled out sternly and he jumped a little.
"What is it?" he asked innocently.
"Why am I hearing that you refused your position as chairman of Han technologies?"
Oh. It suddenly clicked in his mind. He had planned to tell you himself, but things didn't go his way.
"I'm resigning from the company."
You stared at him blankly. "Sorry, what?" you asked, completely bewildered by his statement.
"I refused to sign the contract this morning and I'm getting off duties by the end of the month." he said calmly. "It was too much for me."
You shook your head in disbelief. "You can't do that. Jisung, we talked about this before. This is your whole career, why did you-" you cut yourself off, too shaken up by his announcement. "Have you thought this out?"
"I did." he said with an elongated breath. "My dad discovered my music not so long ago and we argued a bit about it."
"Why didn't you tell me this?"
He ignored your question. "He ended up being quite okay with it. He said he didn't realize how much pressure he was putting on me and that I could do what I want as long as it pays off my bills. Plus, he said I could always come back if it doesn't work." he shrugged.
"Wow." was the the only thing you could say. "He really said that?"
He laughed. "Not exactly, my mom is the one I have to thank for that, she talked him through it."
"Makes more sense." you hummed.
"I also told them about you."
Now, you really wanted to punch him in the balls right there and then.
"Just like you told Felix?" you huffed.
"And Chan... and Jeongin..." he saw how you were about to beat the shit out of him and he held up his hands in defense. "They figured it out by themselves, I simply confirmed their suspicions."
You rolled your eyes. "Is this why he bought me this dress to be matching with you?"
He smirked and nodded proudly. You sighed in disbelief and sat down on one of the chairs, gesturing for him to continue.
"I think you know it by now, but I'm so hopelessly in love with you."
You grunted, absolutely enraged by his behaviour. You could simply not believe how dumb of him it was to give up such an opportunity, and then tell your friends about your mistake of the previous year. And now, he really had to top it all with declaring his love for you?
"You keep being fucking unrealistic with this whole thing." you said, shaking your head in disapproval. "We have decades of rivalry between us, we were only being stupid with what we did."
He scoffed. "So last year meant nothing to you?"
"What I'm saying is that it was something that shouldn't have happened. I wanted to put a stop to it tonight." you affirmed but he didn't seem convinced.
"You're wearing the necklace." he pointed to the rose charm hanging around your neck.
You shrugged. "It was going well with the dress, that's all."
"It does, and you simply look stunning tonight." he said as he walked closer to you.
You stood up to come face to face with him. "Don't dodge the subject with your flirts, Han."
"What is stopping us, really? A career? I've already given up mine and I know for a fact that you hate your job." he said softly, getting more and more close to you.
"Our families-" you started but he interrupted you with a laugh.
"You hate your dad and I've talked to mine already. It's okay."
He hesitated, but reached his hand up to your face. By then, you didn't even know how to breathe anymore. It was the first time he touched you so intimately since that moment in the taxicab. It was as electrifying as you remembered.
"Please tell me you feel the same." he said in a whisper. "There was not a single moment where I didn't regret not trying to convince to run away with me."
"Jisung..." you breathed out.
"I won't force you into anything. If wanting to put an end to this is what you want, we'll do just that. I won't say I didn't try at least."
Your faces were millimeters apart. It was a question of time before he was going to kiss you. But you backed away.
"We can't."
And just like that, you ran away from him, leaving him alone in the room. You didn't know exactly why you did so. No matter what the reason was, you just wanted to go home. The rollercoaster he caused was too much to bear with. You didn't even say bye to Chan and you left.
The driver was still in the street, so you called him out and asked him to bring you home. He did look at you suspiciously, but obliged nonetheless. Before you knew it, you were at your front porch and the driver left you alone. You sat down, not even trying to keep your dress clean, and you cried. You weren't sad nor happy, just confused. It was a few minutes after when Jeongin joined you and engulfed you in a hug. He didn't ask what happened, but he just knew you needed someone for you at least.
"I should have said congratulations to Chan at least." you finally spoke and Jeongin allowed himself to let out a small chuckle.
"He knows you're proud of him already."
"Yeah, but it's still shitty of me." you sobbed. "And, Innie, I fucked up so bad..."
"You dumped him there, didn't you?"
Damn, this kid was good at guessing. But he did know most things about you so it was only natural he got you right on that.
"I don't even know why..." you groaned as more tears came out. "He's so... ugh, and I'm like... meh."
He cocked his head to the side, unsure if he understood what you meant. "That's a way to put it I guess?"
"I meant that he just does so much for our... whatever we have, to work out and I'm being a bitch by ditching him."
He smiled awkwardly. "I can't say you're wrong with this one."
"And what am I even going to do if this turns out to be a fiasco? I'll get fired, my dad will disown me, and I'll live off an underground musician's income?"
Jeongin winced at your reflection. "You're overthinking now..."
"I know." you grunted. "It's just... What do I do?"
You turned to look at him properly and noticed how discouraged he seemed to be with you. As you thought, he gave you a look.
"What?" you sighed.
"You know what to do, Y/N. You're just afraid." he explained but you didn't quite get it. "You've been this perfect daughter for years and you're scared of change."
"I mean, aren't we all?"
"Some are more daring than others, just like Han dared to confront his parents because he loves you."
As realization slowly crept in your mind, you buried yourself in your arms. Why did you have to be such an ass to him?
"You're saying I should go back and say I want him too?" you mumbled.
"Essentially, yeah. But like I said, you do you." he said as he patted your back. "No matter what you do, I'm sure Han will understand."
"Do you mind driving me back?" you said as you shot your head up, pouting at him.
He deadpanned at you. "You came all the way back here just to go back?"
"Yeah?" you chuckled embarrassingly.
"Alright, but go clean up your face. Your mascara didn't hold up right."
A few minutes later, you were in Jeongin's car as he drove you back to the convention center. To not cause a fuss, he went all around to the back of the building so you could walk in more discreetly.
"What if he left too?" you said in panic as you were about to leave the vehicle.
"Jeez, Y/N, just go!" he rushed you out.
You entered and arrived in an empty hallway, not creepy at all. Still, you could hear the chatter coming from the main event so you simply followed it. On your way, you came to the washrooms and heard moaning from there.
"Gross." you mumbled to yourself.
Moving on, you started to get more familiar to your surroundings when you saw the room where you had left Jisung earlier. Only now, the door was open and the lights turned off which meant he had gone back to the party probably. You finally arrived to the main room and noticed that Chan was just done with introducing his new line of products. You clapped along with the crowd and cheered loudly. He recognized your voice as he immediately moved his eyes to where you were standing. With a large grin, he thanked the audience once more and came down to crush you in a hug.
"How did I do?" he asked.
"Great..." you trailed off and he gave you a look.
"You didn't watch, right?"
"I'm sorry, Chan." you chuckled. "I... kind of ran away?"
He rolled his eyes. "Han Jisung?"
"Why the hell is everyone aware of my business?" you whined.
"He came to talk to me after you left. He's alone at the bar if you are looking for him." he laughed. "Go get your man, bestie." he said jokingly.
"I'll have to talk to you after we sort this out." you said in a warning voice before leaving to go to the bar.
When you finally got to him, you kept a distance to observe what state he was in. Hair disheveled, tie loosened, he was mixing his margarita with a straw and started blankly in the void. You felt bad, even worse than you expected.
"I would have never thought of you as one for the margaritas." you spoke up.
At the sound of your voice, he looked around in confusion until he noticed you were standing behind him. He shook his head as a chuckle left his mouth.
"Are you quoting me now?"
You took the spot next to him and stole the drink from his grip. "Perhaps I am." you shrugged and then took a sip of the drink. "I like the ones from the island better."
"So picky." he huffed. "I'm sorry for being so bold earlier."
You shook your head violently. "Stop, I'm the one at fault."
He tilted his head from side to side. "Not really. I can't blame you for not wanting the same thing as me."
"But that's the thing..." you said before taking a deep breath. "I want the same thing as you."
He stared at you for a moment. The lack of response on his part quite frightened you. After a bit, he finally moved as he placed his hand on your forehead.
"Are you okay?"
Frowning, you looked at him, perplexed. "I am..."
He retrieved his hand away. "You're being for real? Don't give me false hope, I swear I'll axe you if you do so."
You laughed. "I'm serious. Look, Jisung, I haven't been fair to you."
He shook his head as he took your face by the jaw. "Don't say that."
"You know I'm right. I led you on, kept denying your attention and I literally ran away from you." you listed out. "I think I'm in love with you too. I was just stupid enough to never admit it to myself."
You had never seen him smile this much. "You're fucking stubborn, yeah." he grinned. "But I love that about you. Plus, playing hard to get is quite attractive."
You scoffed. "Fuck off, I'll go back to Felix."
You were about to walk away but he grabbed you by the wrist to stop you. Gently, he pulled you closer by the neck and kissed you. He. Kissed. You. In front of literally everyone. You heard gasps of shock, but surprisingly, you didn't care. All that mattered was that you had your lips on Jisung again. The butterflies you had suppressed for months had come back at an overwhelming level but you were happy.
"Y/N L/N!" you heard your father yell.
Separating yourself from Jisung, you rolled your eyes as you came face to face with a furious man.
"Hey." you smiled in an exaggerated manner.
"You've got a lot of explaining to do, young lady. I made sure during your whole life you'd be ready to take over my place, and you're pulling this show tonight?"
You let out a groan. "Really? A show? I get you have built a reputation and shit for years, but for what? Really, come to think of it, this whole rivalry thing is ridiculous. Yeah, sure, they sued us, but heck, we got over it."
He huffed in disbelief. "It had to be a Han, uh?"
Dropping your shoulders, you didn't even know what to say anymore. "He's not like that. You know what? I don't even know why I'm fighting you over this." you started to get annoyed.
"It's okay, Y/N-" Jisung started, but you went off again which interrupted him.
"No, Jisung, this is not okay. I've done literally everything to go according to this man's expectations and I can't even be happy for one moment?"
By then, more people had gathered around the scene. Some of them whispered among themselves, others just watched in pure shock. Then, Jisung's parents arrived and stood next to your dad. This was going so well...
"You two are okay with this?" you father asked the Han.
Jisung's mother simply shrugged. "I mean, she seems to make our son happy." she said in a small voice making your father turn to Mr. Han to incite him to speak his thoughts out.
He did the same as his wife, not sure on what to answer. "I'd have to say, Mr. L/N, that your daughter is quite a remarkable woman. I think our son is in good hands."
"I agree." you heard Chan speak up somewhere in the crowd. You finally spotted him and sent him a look as to ask what he was doing. "I think it is time to tone down the hard feelings in my opinion, Mr. L/N." he patted your father's back.
"Chan-" Jisung started but the glare he received from him shut him up real quick.
"I think this is a good way to put an end to this competition between your families, no? Anyhow, I think they make a fine couple." he continued and then held his glass up. "How about we go on with our evening?"
Chan had power, which meant everyone were taking his opinion into consideration. If he said something was fine, it meant it was fine. If he wanted to move on from something, then people moved on. This was exactly what happened. As the mass of people dispersed themselves, you saw your dad walk further away with Jisung's parents, seemingly discussing about what they just saw. As for Chan, he joined the pair of you.
"That's quite a show stealer you put up just now." he laughed.
"Thank you, Chan." you said sincerely.
Jisung rubbed your back gently as he nodded with you. "Yeah, thank you for that."
Chan shrugged. "I'm rooting for you two, but don't put yourselves in trouble too much because I can't save you all the time."
"We won't." Jisung said as he looked at you. "I think we can manage from now."

eleven. - epilogue -
"Time's up."
Looking up from your laptop, you had daggers in your eyes as you stared at Jisung through your glasses. He was already fully dressed with black pants and a beige coat as he tapped his foot on the floor in an impatient way.
"I'm almost done." you said as you focused back on your screen.
He let out a groan. "Y/N, love."
"It won't take long." you argued, not taking your eyes off as you typed aggressively on your keyboard.
"You said the same thing ten minutes ago and we have a flight in..." he checked the time on his phone. "two hours now." he deadpanned at you.
"I just have to send this to Chan real quick."
"Exactly, it's Chan so no pressure."
He came to your dining table and snatched your computer away from you. While you reached out to get it back, he saved your file and closed it off before putting it in his bag.
"Han Jisung." you said in a stern voice.
"Thank me later, baby." he kissed your cheek but you refused to fall for it.
"I have to send it over."
"I know, love, but Jeongin had this handled, no? Just trust him on this one."
Still pouting, you took your coat and put it on before grabbing your luggage. "I shouldn't have agreed to go on this stupid trip."
"Don't be like this, you love seeing Felix." he snickered.
"I don't mind going to Australia." you argued as you approached the front door of your house. "I mind not getting my work done in time."
"Love, you're literally weeks ahead for everything." he sighed loudly.
You walked to your car and started to load it with your bags. While Jisung went back inside to get more of your belongings, you received a call. Putting the phone between your ear and your shoulder, you answered.
"What's up, Hyunjin?" you said cheerfully.
"Someone's in a good mood." he laughed. "I take it that you're leaving soon?"
"Yeah, we're about to go to the airport. How is it there?"
"I love it, really. Felix rented a house for us so we can all stay together." he said excitedly. "I was calling to ask you something about the report you filled out this morning, actually."
You frowned. "What about it?"
"Why didn't you mark Jisung's name? For the collaborator, I mean."
You grunted. "Shit, I totally forgot. I'm sorry, I'm still not used to him being back in the business."
"All good." he chuckled. "Though I need it by the end of the week. Otherwise, my application can be denied."
"I know, I'll do it as soon as I get there."
Jisung looked at you curiously as he stood next to the car with the door opened, waiting for you to be done.
"No stress." Hyunjin answered.
"I have to go now, but I can't wait to see you two!"
"See you in a few hours!"
Hanging up, you and Jisung got in the car and he drove away from your house. As you hummed along the music, you suddenly remembered something. Turning the volume down, you looked at your fiancé in panic.
"Tell me you locked the door."
He rolled his eyes. "I did, stop being so stressed."
"I'm sorry, jeez." you said in a defensive tone.
"This trip is for us to take a break from work, just like the good old days. Relax a little, can you do that for me?"
You absolutely hated it when he used his soft loving tone. You could simply not resist it. With a sigh, you nodded your head and you grabbed his hand that was hanging between your two seats.
"You're right."
He smiled and started to play with your hand, fiddling with your engagement ring. "Plus, we get to visit the venue for the wedding." he said before kissing your hand.
"Felix better had chosen a good spot." you huffed.
"If you don't like it, we can visit some more." he shrugged.
You shook your head as a no. "I just want a place to marry you."
"You're sweet, baby, but I don't want to get married in a wrecked place." he laughed.
"Fair enough."
You said that, but in all honesty, you just wanted to marry him right away. Him. The man you believed to hate until he turned your world upside down. The man who was ready to give up everything just to be with you. If this is not husband material, you don't know what it is. But one thing for sure, you wanted to be with him for the rest of your life.

"will you be coming at the new year's party tonight?" price asked as he noticed you filling some paperwork in the common room.
"i dont think so" you sigh, "im not that much of a social person, and i still have a lot of paperwork to fill in,let alone medical files."
"are you sure?" price asked, worried you might overwork yourself, but then an idea suddenly came to his mind. "i heard the lieutenant will be there as well, rumors have it you have a crush on him, so it'd be a good opportunity to actually talk to him, instead of just- avoiding him like you do."
the thought of captain price having noticed you had a crush on ghost sent a bright blush to your cheeks, but you waved those thoughts away.
"even if he was here, that doesn't mean i stand a chance with him" you reply, losing focus on your paperwork, now that the lieutenant was mentioned. "we barely talk anyway, and he seems to hate me so..."
"he seems to hate everyone" price chuckled, "dont take it personally. did the fact that he will be there change your mind?"
"i dont know" you sigh, but your little smile was betraying you. "it will depend on whether i have finished filling those files. at what time will it start?"
"around 7!" price replied with a subtle smile, feeling like he convinced you to come. "oh,and, you can come in a casual outfit, no need to pull up the formal uniform", he winked and left.
the few hours that separated you from the awaited party came, and all of a sudden a sudden peak of anxiety invaded you.
what if everyone made fun of your awful social skills? what if you didnt dress well enough?
your overthinking stopped as you felt your phone vibrate in your pocket; surprisingly enough, it was a text from price.
are you coming? ghost is here 👀
you chuckled as you put on a comfy sweater, and headed to the common room.
"you came!!" price greeted you, smiling brightly at you. "make yourself at ease, go get yourself something to drink, and who knows? maybe alcohol can help you make a move on our lovely lieutenant" he chuckled, before handing you a cup of alcohol.
"do you... want to get me drunk so i could get rid of my social anxiety?" you asked price, raising an eyebrow.
"maybe" he chuckled, already sounding drunk, "is it working?"
"not reall- ouch"
you blushed brightly as you noticed ghost was the one who stumbled into you.
"oi," he said, sounding slightly drunk as well, "im sorry. must've lost my balance, probably drank too much already. you're y/n, right?"
"y-yes," you nod, still not over the interaction, praying he didn't notice the bright blush on your cheeks, "why?"
"because..." he tries to articulate, and nearly fell on the floor, "ive been meaning to tell you... you're doing a great ass good job... dont let my mean words convince you otherwise, k?"
"oh-" you said, taken aback by this sudden demonstration of kindness, your heart melting. "thank you lieutenant..?"
the evening went on, until the cheerful "happy new year!!!" resonated in the walls of the tf141's buildings, everyone happy to finally greet the new year.
the party then came to an end, and so you decided to stay a little longer to help clean the room. once you got done, and got ready to head back to your quarters, you noticed an odd figure.
was ghost... asleep? he sure seemed to. he probably passed out due to all the alcohol he had drank, and you couldn't blame him.
that's how he somehow ended in your quarters - and if you were to be honest, carrying a man as massive as him was NOT an easy thing, but you somehow managed to. you tried your best to put him in a comfortable position on your couch, but bringing him here was already kind enough, wasn't it? so you just left him laying down on the floor, covering his massive frame with a blanket, and put a pillow under his head.
"this sure was a strange new year's day" you thought out loud, "happy new year lieutenant"
just in case something happened to ghost, you decided pull an all nighter (?), and you were right to, well at least, soft of.
in the middle of the night, ghost woke up, seemingly not over his hangover.
"i'll tell you what, y/n, ive always been in love with you." he mumbled, barely able to stand.
your heart dropped at this confession, but you had to stay lucid: he couldn't possibly mean it, it had to be the alcohol, right? that would make no sense if he was in love with you.
but you couldn't help to secretely wish what he was saying was true, after all you know the saying: drunk words are sober thoughts, and now you really hoped the saying was true there.
"lieutenant, you're drunk, you should go back to sle-"
he interrupted you by kissing you, first on the lips, and then moved on to your neck, leaving a little trail of hickeys here and there.
you gave in the kiss, you knew it was wrong, but it felt so good, but quickly waved those thoughts off: it was wrong in any way. he was your superior, and drunk, you couldn't abuse his drunken state like that.
but the feel of his lips on yours sure felt like heaven...
as if nothing happened, he smirked softly as he pulled out of the kiss, and resumed his peaceful slumber on your floor.
however, the next morning was nothing like that.
"looks like someone had fun last night" ghost grumbled as he noticed your many hickeys. "what the fuck am i doing here? and where even is here, and did you poison me? why is my head pounding?" he asked, back to his usual stern self, and you would actually be surprised if he didnt.
"youre in my quarters" you reply as you handed him a cup of anti hangover tea. "i brought you here because we were the only two remaining at the party, and you passed out. and hum... about the hickeys, how much do you remember from last night?" you ask as you look away, embarassed at the thought of last night's passionate kiss.
"i dont remember shit, why?" he asked, sounding more annoyed than mean.
"okay i..." (you sigh) "promise not to get mad at me if i tell you?" (he shakes his head, annoyed) "okay, so... you confessed yesterday." you blurt out, "but that is not all." (you gulp.) "we also kissed and... you gave me those hickeys."
"oh." he said blankly, and you could feel the blush in his voice, despite his mask.
"yeah.." you chuckled awkwardly, not daring to look at him, "but i have one question though. were you honest when you said you... 'always have been in love with me?"
your heartbeat quickened as you waited for his answer, but you had to know.
"would it be weird if i said yes..?" he asked, unable to look at your eyes, and your heart nearly missed a beat. "i mean, youre always doing what youre told to despite the fact that i treat you like shit and... i don't know, i guess that made me develop a kind of soft spot for you... do you happen to feel the same way..?" he asked, and you could feel the vulnerability in his voice.
"i- i think i do..?" you replied, both confused and relieved. "i mean, i always thought you hated me but.. this feels a bit rushed. can we do it again?"
"okay" he nodded, "how does 'hello, my name is simon riley, known as ghost, lieutenant from the task force 141, and i am in love with the wonderful y/n' sounds?" ghost chuckled with a soft smile, loving at you with loving eyes.
"much better" you reply with a soft smile, butterflies fluttering in your stomach, way better.
later on that day, when you and ghost headed to the briefing room hand in hand, price couldn't help but let out a small laugh.
"see? seems like alcohol can do wonders" he whispered, and it made you let out a small chuckle as well.

Christmas' gift
Author's Note: English isn’t my first language. Hope you all like it. Please, give me your opinion with a reblog, fav or a note in my askbox :) Any bad comment about Tomlinson's familly will be ignored and blocked.
Pairing: louis!husband x reader!wife
Word count: 2k
warnings: explicit sex, unprotected sex (don’t do that!), curse words.
"He just fell asleep." I mumbled, watching Freddie snore on top of me.
It was Christmas Eve and Louis' birthday. We were in Doncaster at Lottie's house. The Tomlinson family decided to have the party here this year, since last year it had been at our house.
Everyone was talking soon after following their traditions like wearing matching pajamas, eating cookies and giving presents to the children.
They are the family I never had, I just love being a part of it.
"I thought he would be running back and forth all night." Louis commented as he finished his beer.
His fingers stroking his son's soft hair, Freddie's arms squeezed me even tighter as he placed his face just above my breasts.
As big as the boy was now, in family moments and away from it all, he was Daddy's baby… and mine too.
Since I had started my relationship with Louis a few years ago, Freddie and I had gotten along well, and when he spent time with us, he would get sly, but not in a bad way; he loved being the center of his father's attention.
I didn't judge, because I knew how hard it was to have to share his father with the rest of the world much of the time.
"He ate a lot of candy, but the search for Santa Claus tired him out for sure."
"The search and the jealousy." Louis left a kiss on the boy's head and one on my cheek.
Louis was sitting facing me on the couch, Lottie was nursing Lucky in one of the armchairs next to us, the twins had put Ernest and Doris to sleep and were now looking over the pictures they would be posting. Mark and Lewis were chatting about golf while finishing their drinks.
"Jealous?" I asked.
"Of the cousin. Of you with his cousin. Of his cousin with me." Louis commented and arched his eyebrows as if it were obvious.
I shifted my gaze between him and Lottie, who nodded and pointed at Lucky.
"Really? I didn't realize that… I was so excited to see you all with the presents, eating the birthday cake, that I didn't pay attention."
"When you were holding Lucky on your lap, Freddie even put down the toy and closed his face like my brother." Lottie replied, and I grimaced.
"I didn't really notice, I thought he had gotten used to not being our only baby… But about him closing his face in jealousy, I thought it was a natural thing for the Tomlinsons."
I winked at my sister-in-law, who laughed softly, and Louis gave me the finger.
"Sorry, luv. Force of habit."
I laughed, agreeing and straightening my entitlement.
We said goodbye to the people who were still awake, Freddie was still on my lap, his arms wrapped around my neck and his legs wrapped around my waist.
I slowly opened the bedroom door since Doris and Ernest were already asleep there.
I laid the little boy down on the bed and covered him, leaving a little kiss on his head. Louis followed my footsteps.
I walked past my younger brothers-in-law and also laid out the blankets.
I went to my room and then to the bathroom, brushing my teeth. Louis accompanied me while I looked at the pictures the twins had sent in the family group on Messages.
I put on thicker, more comfortable pajamas because the snowfall that night would be intense.
As I pulled my sweater into my arms, I felt cold and slightly clammy hands run up my ribs and across my belly.
"Another birthday gift, huh?" I heard Louis let out a slutty chuckle as one hand reached into my panties and the other squeezed one of my boobies.
I closed my eyes and lowered my arms. I spread my legs a little and felt Louis's fingers lightly massage my spot.
"Baby… I already gave you your b-birthday gift". I purred as I felt Louis's hardened cock rubbing behind me.
"Please, baby? Uh?" It was Louis's turn to purr, his kisses being distributed over my neck.
A breeze hit us, making my whole body shiver with cold and as a pop in my head, I opened my eyes and closed my legs again.
I stretched out my arms and put on the dark sweater that Lottie had given me.
I turned to face Louis and noticed his dilated pupils and only a thin blue circle of his irises around them.
I looked down quickly and Louis was still excited and the mark on his sweatpants showed this.
"Will you refuse to make love to me, Y/n?" Louis's hands were still on my hips, his tone of voice indignant. "On my birthday?"
“Technically, it's Jesus' birthday, yours was yesterday.” I threw my arms around the side of Louis' neck and stared at him with an arched right eyebrow.
Louis gave his famous cute smile that his fanbase went crazy for when he did, but I was sure he was thinking of a very good answer, and I knew he wouldn't be shaken by my joke.
I stood on my tiptoes and blew him a kiss, trying to wipe the smile off his face, and it worked.
Louis deepened the kiss and I sighed, felt one of his hands hold my face while his body pushed mine to the bed. We stumbled along, kissing and laughing. I jumped up and sat down on the huge bed in the room, Louis stood between my legs and stretched out on top of me keeping his arms like braces.
"All right, luv, let's go to sleep." Another kiss was given and Louis got off me.
Again, I arched my eyebrow, had he given up easily? Very strange.
Louis hit the switch and only the lamps, one on each side of the bed, lit up the room.
I straightened up in bed, still suspicious that he had given up. I folded the sheet so that Louis could cover himself more easily.
By the shadows and the movement on the bed, it didn't take long for my husband to join me. I decided to speed up the process and took off my pants and panties, leaving only my sweater. I turned sideways, anxious to see Louis' reaction and to my relief, he hugged me and begin be the big spoon.
He covered us and it was possible to hear only our breathing and the wind rushing against the windows. I could still feel Louis' dick against my ass and now somehow, I too was aroused.
"My love…" I swung my ass against Louis's dick, who let out a heavy sigh.
"You're wet aren't you, darling?" Louis's voice was hoarse, and his hand grabbed my hip and helped me move against him.
I just nodded even though the light was dim. Louis's hand left my hip and reached under my sweater, his fingers playing with my nipples hardened by the cold and excitement.
"I know you are, my love, no need to answer. Does my naughty girl need me now?" Louis's lips, which were very close to my ear, were now distributing kisses down my neck again, making me involuntarily close my eyes.
Still on my side, Louis patted my hip twice quickly as a signal for me to stop. His lips were still on my neck, but I could feel a movement behind me, surely it was Louis getting rid of the bottom of my sweatshirt.
"Be a good girl and spread your legs a little, will you?" Louis asked and I obeyed, feeling his cock invade and stretch my inner walls. His cock being enveloped in my pussy was simply too tasty.
The delicious sensation made me pull back the comforter that covered us, a way to fill my embrace since Louis was behind me and also, a way to muffle the moans caused by the good feeling of having him inside me.
"F-feel so good, baby... Your d-dick is too big and warm…"
Louis's arm tightened even more around my waist at my comment, his chest pressed against my back and his hips slamming relentlessly against me.
"You like it, don't you? Do you like being filled with my cock?" I felt my neck sweat with Louis's sighs and kisses, and I quickly agreed. "I want to fill you up, y/n… Can I cum inside? Will you be my baby's mommy?"
A great shiver ran through my entire body, the sensation was so overwhelming that I didn't think much of it other than to agree. I had been on birth control forever, but we had been married for a few years, and surely seeing Lottie's baby had awakened that in Louis.
"Answer me, luv!" - Louis unstroked his thrusts and I rolled my eyes, he was pounding against me slowly and torturously. "Uh? You're going to look so beautiful pregnant with our baby, I'm going to be the happiest man in the world."
"Yes, baby… A-anything that you want but just... more faster, please" I whimpered a little louder as I felt one of Louis's hands leave my hips, spread my legs a little, and begin to stroke my clit with his fingertips.
His fingers circled my sensitive spot, my raised leg trembled, Louis put his arm which was resting on the bed, underneath me and his hand gripped my neck, squeezing it a little.
My eyes closed tightly, loving the mixture of sensations. My fingernails brushed the comforter as my body rippled against Louis'. His low moans made me want to cry with pleasure. I felt my inner muscles tighten against Louis' cock, my body trembling with excitement, now I was hotter than ever.
Two or three more strokes in, Louis let out a long moan in my ear and I felt his hips go into spasms, soon the hot thick liquid was shooting inside me.
Louis' fingers stopped for a few seconds and then went back to work. "Come for me, baby, come on my cock? Yeah?"
I bit my lips as I felt a tremor in the pit of my stomach and the sensation of relaxation rebound against my senses.
"My good girl…" Louis was still inside me and didn't seem to want to come out anytime soon. I laid my head against him, my vision was a little blurry but I would get over it. We were both panting. "So beautiful, so mine… I love you so much…"
"Too hot, baby…" My body was limp and my senses were messed up.
Louis seemed to understand and helped me take off my sweater, my body shivered again due to the room temperature that was hot, but not as hot as my body.
I let out a long sigh feeling Louis disconnect us, it was a strange feeling, literally an emptiness inside me. He pulled the thick blankets over us. I could feel our liquids leaking out of me, but I definitely didn't have the strength to clean up right now, I just wanted to be as close to my husband as possible.
"Lou…" I groaned "Will you stay here? Please?"
"Of course, my love. I'm only covering us because I don't want the mother of my baby to catch a cold."
Louis hugged me again from behind, I snuggled into him feeling the yeast coming from his body, a smile was born on my face as I imagined another baby in the family.
"Do you really want to have a baby with me?" I turned my face away trying to look at him even in the dim light.
Even though we were already married, I was still a little insecure. Louis was traveling all the time, obviously a lot of people want him too.
"Everyone you want to have with me, baby. It's going to be my early Christmas present next year!” He kissed the tip of my nose, "But, you'll have to help with Mr. Jealousy."
I let out a chuckle, nodding my head in agreement.
"Don't talk that way about our boy, I'm sure he'll make a great big brother."
"Yes, just kidding." Louis gave me that cute smile again, and I stroked his hair and turned to face him, sandwiching my face between his shoulder and neck. "Merry Christmas, darling."
"Merry Christmas, my love. And happy birthday, again."

In The Name of Love | Chapter 23

Masterlist
Tumblr media
"Finally, Valeria! I haven't seen you since last year!"
"You are so dramatic, Pedro" I laugh, trying to close my apartment's door while he wraps his arms around me.
"But it is actually true. I hate Christmas."
"No, you don't."
"I do. Because I don't get to see you for like two weeks. And I'm needy, Val. So needy" he pouts. "Didn't you miss me?"
"Not really. I had you with me."
"Because you carry me in your heart? That's so cute, Val. See how you can do cheesy too?"
"What? You have said it all!" I laugh again. "But that's now what I meant. I mean, I do, but no."
"You aren't making any sense" Pedri says with a confused look.
"Look behind you."
"What?"
"Just turn around" I say.
"What… Holy shit. Is that… is that me?"
"Yep. A life size cardboard cutout of my favourite photo from your shirtless photoshoot."
"Did you get it for yourself as a Christmas present?" he chuckles.
"Oh, no. This was your besties and your brother's Christmas present. And the last one they will ever give because I'm fucking murdering them the moment I see them."
"What?"
"Your brother managed to convince Marina to give him the address of my grandparents' house and they sent it there."
"No!" Pedri says, his eyes wide.
"Yep. And that cardboard wasn't the only thing they sent me. There also was a box with a blanket, a mug, a phone case and a pillow with that photo on all of them."
"Really?" he chuckles.
"Yes, really. And it isn't funny, Pedri. Did you know about this?"
"What? No! I had no idea, I swear."
"Are you sure? Because it is a bit of a coincidence that I joked with you about getting a pillow with your face on it, and they gifted me one" I say, crossing my arms over my chest.
"I wasn't part of it. I promise you, Val. But maybe…"
"Maybe what?"
"Maybe when Fer asked me about your reaction to the magazine, I told him about the pillow. But it was a random comment, nothing else! I had no idea they would do… that" he says, nodding towards his cardboard self.
"Well, thanks to your comment, next week we are having lunch with my mum."
"Wait what? She knows? How?"
"I had to tell her.”
"Holy shit, Val. That's… that's…"
"I know" I sigh. "Why don't we sit down and I tell you everything?"
"That actually sounds like a great idea" he says, letting himself fall on the sofa.
"Ok…" I say, taking a deep breath. "Everything started with my uncle during our Christmas Eve dinner…"
━━━━━━❃━━━━━━
"So, Val. Are you moving to Manchester too?" my uncle asks.
"Why would I do that?"
"Ferran is now going to play for Manchester United, isn't he? Though isn't that a bit weird since he already played for City?"
"Ferran is leaving?" my mum says. "Why hadn't you told me, Val?"
"Why should I?" I shrug.
"Because he is your boyfriend! And he is moving away! Did you argue? Is everything ok?"
"Mum, for the millionth time… Ferran and I have always been friends. Nothing else."
"And for the millionth time… I don't believe you."
"Whatever" I reply, rolling my eyes.
"Valeria, don't whatever me."
"Then stop all the nonsense with Ferran! He is just a friend!"
"A friend doesn't do what he did when you were pushed!"
"Not this again…"
"Actually, when it is your best friend's girlfriend then one rolling down the stairs…" David murmurs.
"What?" everyone on the table says, turning to look at him.
"Val isn't dating Ferran. She is dating his best friend" he says.
"Does he also play for Barça? Who is he?" my uncle asks me.
"He doesn't, he is just a normal guy. He met Ferran through a mutual friend, and I met Ferran through him. Through my boyfriend, I mean" I explain.
"Then you aren't a wag?" one of my cousins asks.
"I am not, no. Sorry to disappoint."
"You aren't the cool cousin anymore, Val" David laughs.
"Yeah" I chuckle.
━━━━━━❃━━━━━━
"After that, everyone went back to having dinner as if nothing had happened and they didn't ask about my boyfriend again, but my mum and I didn't share a word."
"She didn't believe you, did she?" Pedri asks.
"She knew I was hiding something. And that something walked through the door the day before Three Kings Day. David, Marina and I had come back home after going out for a walk, and then…"
━━━━━━❃━━━━━━
"Bloody hell!" Marina screams. "Why is there a shirtless Pedri standing in the middle of the living room?"
"First of all, language. And second, that's what I would like to know… Valeria" my mum says, crossing her arms over her chest.
"Me? Why me?"
"It arrived for you. That, and a box with more stuff with that photo on it. What is all this?"
"That's a really good question… And why did you open a package with my name on it?"
"That isn't important right now."
"Yes, it is, mum! That was private!"
"Why did Ferran send you things with a shirtless boy on them as your Christmas present?" she asks.
"Ferran?"
"Yes. Him and some other boys, there was a note."
"Oh my God, mum! You read that too? What is wrong with you?"
"I am your mother, Valeria."
"And I'm not 12 anymore! You aren't allowed to open my packages or the letters I receive!"
"Lower down your voice, please…"
"No, I'm not lowering anything!" I yell.
"Woah, what is going on here?" my uncle says, walking into the room. "And why do you have a shirtless Pedri here? Is that your Christmas present, Marina?" he laughs.
"It actually is Val's" she replies, her eyes fixed on the floor.
"What? Why would someone send that to Val?"
"That's what I would like to know too" my mum says.
"It's just a joke between friends, ok?"
"And one of those friends is Ferran."
"Yes, mum. Glad to know you finally understood it" I say.
"Yeah, I don't see your boyfriend sending you a life size version of his naked best frie… Oh my God, Val" my uncle gasps. "Pedri!"
"Yes, that's really him, no Photoshop."
"No, no, no, no. Pedri is best friends with Ferran. And he's sent you this because… because…"
"Because what?" my mum asks.
"Because Pedri is Val's boyfriend, isn't he?"
"Shit" Marina whispers.
"Fuck" David says under his breath.
"That's crazy" I laugh.
"Valeria, are you dating a child?"
"He isn't a child, mum."
"Isn't he the boy Marina likes?"
"He is."
"Then he is a child."
"He isn't, mum! He is in his twenties!"
"Early twenties" she corrects me.
"Fine, yes."
"Val, you are dating a child!"
"He isn't a child! Stop saying that!"
"But he is a child next to you! How could you do that, Valeria? Are you that desperate for attention? Is this your way of dealing with Marc moving on with his life? Are you going through one of those crises people have at a certain age?"
"What?" I laugh.
"Valeria, there are so many men out there that aren't a decade younger than you… And men who aren't football players either. They all cheat on their partners."
"You didn't seem so against the idea when you thought I was dating Ferran."
"That's different."
"Why? He is just a couple of years older than Pedri, you know?"
"That's enough."
"Enough for what?"
"To not look like a cougar, Valeria!"
"There it is, she said it" I laugh.
"This isn't funny."
"I know, mum. I know."
"Valeria, where are you going?" she says as I walk away.
"To my room!"
"Dating a teenager is turning you into one?" she laughs.
"Yes, looks like it!" I yell back.
━━━━━━❃━━━━━━
"Yikes…" Pedri says.
"Yeah" I sigh. "I didn't leave my room for the rest of the day, and the next morning I packed everything and left."
"Me included" he chuckles.
"That was Marina and David."
"But if we are meeting with your mum… Have you talked?"
"That also was Marina and David. My uncle too. All of them convinced her to at least get to know you."
"Oh, I see… Do you think it will work?"
"Knowing my mother it won't, no. But after everything they did to help, we can't say no."
"I mean, so far I've been able to charm all the women in your family that I've met. I can do it again" Pedri smiles.
"Charming Marina was too easy, she's a teenager."
"And what about you, uh?" he says, raising an eyebrow. "Are you a teenager too?"
"Around you I am, yes. Haven't you heard me giggle and seen me blush like a schoolgirl?"
"I have. And I love when I manage to do it" he says, putting a lock of hair behind my ear and caressing my cheek. "It'll be ok, Val. You'll see. She just needs time, it isn't something easy."
"Your mum took it better."
"She did, but she also knew beforehand that I was dating someone, I had told her things about you. Your mum suddenly found out that her only daughter was dating someone younger than her and who happens to be a football star."
"That also applies to Ferran and she was ok with it. Well, maybe the star part not so much…"
"So mean, Val" Pedri laughs.
"It doesn't apply to you either."
"Val…" he says, rolling his eyes.
"Yet."
"That's not true, but whatever. Your mum will come around. It may take her some time because stubbornness runs in the family, but if you fell madly in love with me, so we'll she."
"There is no need to go that far. Liking you is enough."
"Ok" he laughs.
"And I'm not madly in love with you."
"You are such a bad liar, Val…" he says, leaning forward.
"I'm not lying."
"You are."
"I'm not."
"Liar" Pedri whispers, moving even closer.
"I'm not. Because madly isn't enough to express how much I love you."
"Aww, Val. Did the new year make you cheesy?"
"Maybe" I shrug. "Now, are you going to kiss me or not? You haven't done it since last year."
"I am, Val. I am" he laughs before his lips finally meet mine.
━━━━━━❃━━━━━━
"Ready?"
"Ready" Pedri says, taking a deep breath.
"Mum, we are here!" I say after opening the door and walking into my old house.
"You are late."
"Yeah, I know. There was a car accident and they had us waiting for a while. And hello, by the way."
"Hi" she says.
"So… Umm… Mum, this is Pedri. Pedri, this is my mum."
"Hello, ma'am" he smiles, offering her his hand.
"Hi" she repeats, not moving a muscle.
"What are you making for lunch?" I ask, trying to break the awkward silence.
"Paella."
"Oh, your favourite" Pedri says.
"Do you like it?"
"I do, ma'am."
"Please stop calling me ma'am, I'm not that old."
"I'm sorry, Mrs…"
"Miss, I'm not married. Didn't Valeria tell you about it?"
"Yes, she did, I'm sorry. I am a bit nervous" he chuckles.
"First time meeting your girlfriend's mother?"
"First time, yes."
"I see… Is she also your first girlfriend? I mean, she has to. You haven't had time to have any serious relationship, you are just a kid."
"Mum!"
"Am I lying?" my mother says.
"It's ok, Val" Pedri smiles. "She is my first serious girlfriend, yes."
"How serious?"
"I love her. I truly do. She isn't like any other girl I've met before."
"Of course she isn't" my mother laughs. "She is a woman, all the other girls you've met were just that, girls."
"Mum!"
"She isn't lying, Val. Again" Pedri chuckles.
"And when you say you love her… what do you mean?"
"I… I don't understand" he says with a confused look.
"Do you love her the same way you loved that girl you spent a whole weekend with in a hotel room?"
"Oh my God, mum!"
"Valeria, let him talk. How do you love her, Pedro?"
"It's Pedri" I say.
"Pedri sounds stupid and childish. And you say he isn't a kid, don't you?"
"I…"
"Then Pedro it is. So, how do you love my daughter?" my mother asks him.
"I love her like I've never loved anyone before. And I know what you are going to say, that I'm too young and I haven't had time to experience what real love feels like, that how could I know. But when you meet the person you want to spend the rest of your life with, your other half… Those things don't matter. You just know. And that's Val to me."
"Then do you see yourself getting married and having children?"
"If that's what she wants" he shrugs.
"What she wants? What about what you want? Don't you have anything to say about it?"
"I just want her to be happy" he says.
"Well, if you want to have children you better start taking it seriously, she's getting old."
"Mum!" I say once again.
"That's how biology works, Val. Anyway, I'm gonna go check on our food. Do you want something to drink while you wait?"
"I could do with a beer" I sigh.
"Pedro?"
"Just water, thank you" he smiles.
"Water, of course. What else would a kid drink, uh?" she says as she walks away, not allowing me to be outraged by one of her comments for the millionth time in the past five minutes.
"I'm so sorry about all that…"
"It's ok, Val" Pedri smiles. "It's been fun to see from where you've got that savage side of yours."
"What?"
"Calling me a kid? Saying that Pedri sounds stupid? You've done that too, you take after your mother."
"I guess I do, yes" I sigh again. "But I'm not that mean."
"You are worse" he smiles. "And I love it. I love you."
"Ehem" my mother says when he is about to kiss me. "Your beer and your water."
"Thank you, mum."
"Thank you" Pedri says, giving her his best smile and making me blush. Her reaction? None. Completely impassible.
"So, why don't I show you around, uh?" I offer.
"It is a small flat, there isn't much to see. I'm sure the living room in his house is just as big as the whole place" my mother snorts.
"Come, let me show you some old photos I have in my room" I say, taking his hand and walking away. "There is one of David as a kid that he hates and that you must see."
"Oh, yes, from when you were kids. You weren't born yet, were you, Pedro?"
"Mum!"
"I'm not lying, am I, Pedro?"
"I…" he mumbles.
"Mum, stop it."
"Stop what?"
"Insulting him!"
"I'm not doing such thing, Valeria" she shrugs.
"You… whatever. Why don't you go check the paella again? You know I don't like it if it is overcooked."
"Ok, fine. But I wasn't insulting you, was I, Pedro?"
"Mum!"
"I'm leaving, I'm leaving. No need to yell" she says before disappearing through the door.
"I hate her."
"Val, hey. Val" Pedri says, cupping my face while I try really hard not to cry. "It's ok. I'm ok."
"But I'm not!"
"I know, I know. But… It's just lunch, ok? We can do this."
"I can't."
"Yes, you can, Valeria. You can" he says, making me look him in the eyes.
"You've called me Valeria."
"Because I wanted you to know how serious I am. We can do this. You can do this."
"I can" I say, taking a deep breath.
"You can" he says, caressing my cheek.
"The food is almost… ready" my mother says, stopping us as our lips touched. Again. "I'm gonna set the table. Can you help me, Val? You'll check those photos later."
"Yes, of course."
"You can do this" Pedri whispers in my ear.
"I can do this" I say to myself.

★ Main Story | Act 13 - Budding Spring | Chapter 16 - My Allies
Tumblr media
Izumi: That should be it for the shopping.
Tsumugi: Ah, right. I ran out of fertilizer…
Izumi: Should we make a stop at the flower shop?
Tsumugi: No, it’s a bit heavy, so I’ll ask someone else to help me next time I’m out and I’ll get it then.
Izumi: Got it. Oh, and speaking of flower shops, there’s that boy who’s a fan of ours that lives in a flower shop that I pass by a lo--.
Towa: …
Izumi: Huh? Towa-kun?
Tumblr media
Towa: Ah…
Izumi: Are you okay? Are you feeling sick?
*Stomach growls*
Towa: I wanna… eat some rice…
*Thud*
Izumi: Huh?
Tsumugi: …He collapsed in the middle of the street?
· • —– ٠ ✤ ٠ —– • ·
Towa: Let’s eat!
Tsumugi: You must’ve been starving.
Izumi: But I thought you were living at your aunt’s flower shop? It’s pretty close, so why…?
Towa: Actually… I ran away from home.
Sakuya: Ran away!?
Sakyo: Reminds me of a certain someone.
Azami: There’s a lotta people who run away from home in this dorm.
Kumon: Ahaha, true~.
Tenma: You were one of them, though.
Izumi: Did you run away because there’s something troubling you?
Towa: …
Masumi: If you’re not going to say anything, leave.
Sakuya: Hey, c’mon, he probably has his reasons.
Towa: …Sorry for causing you guys so much trouble.
Tumblr media
Towa: …I’ve always admired you all. I’ve always wanted to be someone who could be passionate about something.
Towa: All my studies, my lessons, my hobbies, I’ve always done them half-heartedly. I’ve always tried to not work as hard as I could.
Sakuya: …Why is that?
Towa: …I didn’t want to disappoint myself.
Towa: I guess I didn’t want to try too hard, fail, and then be disappointed in myself.
Towa: If I did, I’d be embarrassed, and scared, and feel like I should just curl up and die then and there.
Towa: But then I happened to see a play by MANKAI Company’s Spring Troupe, and fell in love with how much everyone was sparkling.
Towa: I was desperate to do something like that, to actually accomplish something. I wanted to try and shine like that, too.
Towa: But I didn’t know what to do…
Towa: I wanted to be closer to Veludo Way, where you all were, so I sent in an application to Hanasaki and transferred there last minute.
Izumi: That’s the reason why…!?
Banri: Pretty damn impressive that you managed to pass the entrance exam. The standard score you need to get in there is pretty high.
Tumblr media
Towa: I studied harder than I ever had in my entire life!
Sakuya: You sure were motivated, huh?
Masumi: You’re insane.
Towa: It was because I wanted to be closer to all of you guys, but I had another reason too…
Towa: Everyone in my family really spoils me. They’re always ready to drop everything to give me anything I’m interested in or anything I need.
Towa: They’ll almost always listen to my selfishness and it made all my friends really jealous when I told them, so I wondered if it was really okay for me to keep living like that…
Towa: They didn’t even object when I transferred schools.
Towa: They said I should go wherever I wanted to go. And not only that, but they helped me with cram school and got me a tutor too.
Towa: They also asked my aunt if I could live with her.
Towa: My family is really kind, and I love them so much, but I hate how spoiled I become when I’m with them. That’s why I decided to leave.
Yuki: You’ve got guts.
Tsumugi: It’s really nice of your family to support the path you chose, Towa-kun.
Towa: But… Apparently, they thought it wouldn’t be long before I came back home.
Towa: “It’s not like there’s anything he really wants to do”, “He won’t be able to do it alone, away from his family”...
Towa: When I overheard my aunt and my mom say stuff like that while they were talking on the phone, I got so mad that I just stormed out.
Tumblr media
Towa: …But they were right. All I have is the things I admire. I don’t have a clue about what I actually want to do with myself.
Towa: I really can’t do anything on my own…
Sakuya: I don’t think that’s true.
Citron: You have already made it this far!
Chikage: You’ve even managed to make your way into the dorms of the theater company you admire.
Towa: Ah…
Itaru: You tried your hardest, got accepted into Hanasaki, and made it all the way to the Holy Land, isn’t that enough proof right there?
Sakuya: I think it’s amazing that you’re venturing out into a whole new world entirely on your own.
Itaru: You don’t need to rush things. Everyone figures out what they want to do with themselves eventually.
Tsumugi: I think you probably understand feeling like that the most, right, Banri-kun?
Banri: This sorta thing’s all about timing, and, well, I guess fate’s sorta a part of it too. There ain’t any point in rushin’ things.
Juza: For you, it was more like when people try ‘n stage car crashes for insurance money, though.
Banri: The hell you just say?
Izumi: You’re able to do lots of things.
Izumi: If we hadn’t met you, we never would’ve thought of doing that workshop, Towa-kun.
Towa: …Thank you so much. I’m still really sorry about all the trouble I’ve caused you.
Izumi: You’re aunt’s probably worried sick, so someone should get in touch with her. Are you able to do that on your own?
Towa: Yeah.
Towa: --Ah, so many notifs in the chat.
shiki: Please contact us.
kar: Don’t die
Iv: wanna come over to my place?
shiki: Just calm down and don’t do anything rash!
Izumi: Chat?
Towa: They’re friends I met through a game called “Bloom Game”.
Towa: We’re always talking about all kinds of different things on BlooCh-- the in-game chat.
Tumblr media
Towa: We’ve never met before, and we don’t even know what any of the others look like, but that’s why we can talk and feel like we’re always so connected.
Towa: It’s just another one of the places I belong.
Izumi: I see. Make sure you get in touch with them too, then.
Towa: I will.
· • —– ٠ ✤ ٠ —– • ·
Sakuya: Do you need someone to take you home?
Towa: I’m good. It’s not that far away and my aunt said she’d meet me halfway.
Sakuya: Got it. Well then, get home safely, okay?
Citron: And you are always welcome to come here if you ever run away from home again!
Masumi: Please don’t.
Tsuzuru: Not sure when we became a place that welcomes runaways, but, I guess it’s not so bad being a place like that.
Izumi: Bye.
Towa: Thank you for the meal! And good luck with your next performance! I can’t wait to see it!
*Footsteps*
Tsuzuru: Our next performance, huh…
Itaru: We’ve still gotta face our own problems too.
Tumblr media
Chikage: …Right.
· • —– ٠ ✤ ٠ —– • ·
*Phone notification*
Sakuya: Ah… I really need to reply…
Sakuya: Haaah… Something that’s like us, huh.
Tenma: Does the upcoming Romeo have lines like that?
Sakuya: Huh? Ah, no.
Tenma: Heard your rehearsals didn’t go too well.
Sakuya: …Yuzo-san watched us rehearse today.
Sakuya: He told us to think about what makes a play a Spring Troupe play again, and to think about what our debut performance was like too.
Tumblr media
Sakuya: We’ve definitely improved and gained a lot more experience, but what are we lacking more than back then…
Sakuya: There’s no way our feelings aren’t stronger than they were back then.
Tenma: Something you’re lacking, huh? There were lots of things you were lacking during your RomiJuli performance.
Tenma: Your acting was rough at best, and it was overall a pretty shaky start. But even so… I still wonder about what exactly it was that made you guys sparkle like that.
Tenma: You all just seemed to be enjoying the new world of theater with everything you had in you.
Sakuya: New world…
Tenma: You made me want to go with you-- To take that step into the world of the stage.
Sakuya: I was so happy to hear you praise RomiJuli after you joined the troupe, Tenma-kun.
Tenma: Now that I think about it, you must’ve had problems back during rehearsals for your debut performance, right?
Tenma: I mean, I did ask you how you solved problems during your performance while we were rehearsing for Summer Troupe’s debut performance.
Sakuya: I guess you’re right…
Sakuya: While we were rehearsing for our debut, Yuzo-san told us that we didn’t understand a thing about the stage and--...

Sakuya: That’s it! Thanks, Tenma-kun! I’m gonna go and get a little more acquainted with the stage again!
Tenma: --No problem.

We Were Too Close To The Stars| Scaramouche x Reader | Part 1
wanted to do something a bit fun/different so have this apocalypse AU :)) (Fluff? Idk just a story that will have more parts.)
It’s feels like it’s been a few years since the apocalypse started. The zombie outbreak- You weren’t even sure how it started, but you knew one thing and it was that you needed to live. To live for your friends and family members so they can survive through the memories you have of them stored in your brain. Its grueling and tiring to survive in this day and age-you went from a giant group in the beginning to now roaming the world to survive by yourself, nothing but the wishes of friends and family to keep yourself sane and living.
It's what lead you here now, in some abandoned building rummaging for anything that can help you survive for even one more day at least. Most of the cabinets were broken, dust seemed to fill the air and grime coated the walls.
you continued to scavenge for anything- food, medicine, bandages, weapons. Yet nothing was found. You sighed and held the straps of your bag, holding it close.
Turning around your eyes in defeat, widened in slight surprise and you almost jump back from the scare as you're met with a knife right in front of your face.
"Who are you? State your purpose." A cold voice, sending chills down your spine as you follow the knife with your gaze, eyes trailing and finding a hand, the hand leads to a wrist and the wrist connects to an arm and then finally your eyes meets the holder of the knife in your face. Eyes cold and dark- yet they almost seem to glow in the darkness of the building.
“Hello? Answer me.” Your observation was cut off by the sound of his voice, the words slice through your brain sharper than the knife he’s currently holding. You can almost smell the caution and anger seeping off of him in waves- or was it just the fact that nobody really has any time to care about hygiene these days?
-
“Oh! Sorry about that.” You try to lean you head away from the knife subtly. Staring into his cold blue-ish eyes. You raised your arms and opened your palms for his eyes to see. “Just passing by. Didn’t know that this place was already taken.”
You tried to stay calm in this situation. Assessing that the guy in front of you was probably just scared as you were.
“Likely story” He rolls his eyes, his face morphing into a scowl. He keeps his knife up in front of your face, slowly moving it down to point at the middle of your neck. His movements causing you to swallow whatever spit had accumulated in your mouth.
“What?-“ You mumbled, but he cut you off immediately. “Cut the crap. I know you were sent by those bandits.” The knife was touching your throat now, but you could see the subtle shake of his hand as you continued to stare into his eyes- not wanting to make any sudden movements but also not wanting to show him any sign of weakness.
You attempted to take a step back, but his glare at your little movement made you pause. “Look, I’m being serious here. I wasn’t sent here by anyone. As I said I’m just passing by-“
He removed the knife from your throat but just as quickly grabbed your forearm and pulled you forward, making you stumble from the sudden action. He moved quickly behind you and all of a sudden you were at the entrance of the building, getting pushed out.
“uh- Hey!” You shouted in protest, turning your head to meet his eyes. The sun was out- the sudden contrast from dark to light stinging your eyes as you glared at the guy who still had a grip on the back of your clothes and kept pushing you away from ‘his’ building.
With a final push, he let go and you stumbled forward, luckily finding balance and turning around to see him already walking away. You quickly thought about your next courses of actions as you glared at his back. ‘What the hells up with this guy? He won’t even let me speak-“
You shivered, a sudden chill running up your spine as a sense of dread filled your veins. Freezing you even though the sun was beating down on you. Feeling a but of cold sweat as you remembered why you even ran this way.
Before you entered that building and met the strange man, you were running from a hoard of zombies.
“oh fuck.” You whispered to yourself as you stared into the direction you came from, even though zombie sightings has declined a lot recently it didn’t mean that they were going away. They were all just clumping up in a location and traveling in one giant hoard- a hoard that you might have lead in this direction.
You sucked in a breath as you saw a single zombie in the distance, then another and another and another and another and another-
You ran towards the male who dragged you out here and grabbed his wrist, he turned and glared at you about to shout something but you used your free hand to cover his mouth in order to not alert the zombies you saw.
He used his other hand to try and rip your hand away from his mouth, he was glaring at you but you simply shushed him and used your head to point in the direction of the zombies- however he didn’t seem to get the hint and used his strength to remove your hand off of him.
“The fuck?! Do you want to die?!” The moment he shouted, you swore you felt your world shatter. ‘Why did he have such a big mouth??’ cursing him in your brain as you heard the sudden growls and fast footsteps of the oncoming hoard.
You gripped onto his wrist and sprinted away, almost dragging him as he now saw the zombies chasing after you both.
“What the fuck what the fuck??” You bit your tongue as you ran, trying to stabilize your breathing as you felt yourself getting tired from having to hold onto his weight behind you. You managed to hear a bit of his mumbled cursing as you both were running away.
You examined the buildings you were passing by as you let go of his wrist, unsure of why you even pulled him along with you- but it wasn’t a time to think at the moment.
He seemed to run faster, catching up to your pace and even leading the way a bit. You turned your head to look back and saw the hoard quite the distance away- safe enough but if you were to stop then they’d catch up in no time.
Suddenly a tug on the clothes you were wearing caused you to fall into an alley. You hissed in a breath as you felt the sting of the harsh alleyway ground scrape your arms and legs.
“Shh!”
You looked up and saw him- the man standing against the wall, tilting his head and pointing somewhere further into the alleyway. You get up as quietly as you could and follow him, he lead you to an almost broken and rusted looking ladder.
“Come on, climb. It’s safe.” You turned and gave him a disgruntled look, before trusting him in the end and climbing. Trying your best to stay quiet as you heard him follow you up. It lead to the top of the building, you pulled yourself up and quickly went onto the roof, examining in case of any zombies or even humans up here. Nothing.
You heard a huff behind you and you turned, finding the man staring at the edge. You keep your distance from him and also look over the edge. There, you see the hoard of zombies all running along- filling the alleys and running over each other mindlessly.
“ahh, fuck.” You let out a laugh of relief as you continued to watch them- it seemed like it would go on forever. Turning over, you gazed at the man who brought you here.
He had indigo hair, obviously not in its best shape as it looked sloppily cut and dirty- but you probably didn’t look the best either. Although, despite the current situation- his skin looks unharmed. No scares or cuts in sight besides a bandage wrapped around his neck. Your eyes meet his own, his dark and dead eyes captivating your own.
“What?”
“hm?” You tilt your head, lost in thought. He rolls his eyes and looks back down at the chaos beneath us.
“You really aren’t a part of those bandits. Right?” You shook your head, even though he wasn’t looking at you.
“No. No I’m not.” You removed my gaze off of him and stare below as well. Watching them- imagining the zombies as ants. “As I said before, I was just passing by.” You heard him hum- now noticing that he was closer to you than before, it sort of put you in edge as you thought he might just push you off the building.
It seemed as though he read your mind however, “stop being so tense. If I wanted you to die I would have just left you to run from the hoard and die from exhaustion.” Hearing that, you sighed and nodded to his words, ‘Relaxing.’
“sorry…” You mumbled and leaned away from the edge, getting bored of the sight of zombies running in a single direction. You stared into the sky, the fogged grey stealing your attention even though it was probably the middle of the day.
“Why’re you apologizing?” Despite the question, his voice is still cold. Harsh.
You glanced at him, a guilty feeling passing through your body for a second. “The hoard, I’m probably the reason why they’re even here.” You gripped onto the straps of your bag, probably for comfort or just out of habit, you weren’t sure.
A full soft breeze passes before one of you speaks again. “Don’t bother. It’s not like anything can change the fact that they’re here now.”
His words causes a sigh to slip out of my mouth, bringing my head down from its raised position to stare at him. “Yeah. You’re right.”
He stares back blankly, almost awkwardly as you see him glance away from the eye contact a few times and you notice him subtly shifting his weight from one foot to another.
“Alright, since we have nothing else to do but wait is it alright if I asked for your name?” You asked, blinking a few times from the now awkward and slightly uncomfortable atmosphere between the both of you.
He only seemed to laugh dryly at my question. His laugh felt empty- almost hurt. “Do names even matter now? I simply don’t find the point in such insignificant things now in our current situation.”
His words only made you roll your eyes, but he was sort of right. What use is a name when you barely even use it now? But you shook your head and gave him a small smirk.
“Okay, but it’d still be nice to know the name of the person I’d be sticking with.” He seemed to process what you said before glaring at you.
“What?” You could sense the disdain in his voice.
“yeah, I just made the decision that I don’t feel like traveling alone anymore- and you haven’t killed me yet so now I’m sticking with you.” You smiled up at him, enjoying the annoyance that he expressed on his face.
“What if I kill you right now?” Despite the words, his tone held no malice.
“hm, I think I’m more valuable alive than dead.” You shrugged, laughing at him quietly.
atmosphere seems to change, it was uncomfortable before but now it’s just slightly calm. You hold out a hand for him to shake.
“My name is (Name). What’s yours?”
He pauses and stares at your hand for a few seconds. The brings his hand closer to your own and gently holds it- he seems a little bit uncomfortable but still gives your hand a little shake.
“Kuni-“ He stopped himself while you look at him curiously. His eyes darts off to the sides and back at your face, even traveling back towards your interlocked hands. You notice that he takes a small gulp and stares into your eyes.
“Scaramouche. My name is Scaramouche.” His voice seemed a but shaky when he first uttered his name, but it straightened up the more he spoke afterwards.
This only causes you to laugh, looking at him with a raised eyebrow. “Okay Scaramouche. Did you just come up with that on the spot?” You let out a few more giggles before shaking his hand once more and letting go, placing both your hands on your hips as you stared at his flushed face- embarrassed from getting called out probably.
“That’s fine. It’s not like I need a reason to know your birth name.” He seemed to calm down at that, glaring off to the side but you can still see the smile he’s trying to fight off of his face.

Words: 3188
A/n: Well I actualy wanted to upload this earlier, but my tablet tumblr app said no. But now I am home and can finally upload it :)
Tumblr media
The door of the pub opened with an inviting chime and the atmosphere almost made you feel at home. Brown wood lined the room and comfortable warm light made the pub look like a winter hut in the wilderness, even though the pub was in the middle of Musutafu. Saturday Night was the usual hero night, all heroes would get drinks for half of the price, so there is no wonder all heroes would gather here to celebrate the weekend. Crime never sleeps, but the heroes here just wanted to commemorate. "Over here, Y/n." shouted the deep voice of Natsuo Todoroki. He waved like a madman so you could see him in the crowd, even though his white hair and his height made him already really visible. You waved back at him. The little room was filled with chatter as if no one in there was fighting for their lives to protect the country. You sometimes wondered how they could always be so cheery and kind. Never in your whole life had you imagined becoming a hero. That's why sticking to your "normal" job was just as right. "Hey guys." you greeted them shyly. "We missed you. How have you been? It must have been a handful, planning the Christmas get-together and also caring for your grandmother."Natsuo's wife Akemi greeted you. "It's alright. We could finally manage to develop a good care system for her. She is doing great now, and she finally eats and drinks enough." You remember your grandmother finally being able to return to her home. "It was hard for her after grandpa died, but now she is doing better. We could finally let her live on her own." Akemi clapped in her hands and cheered. "That is lovely. Where is Shoto by the way?" "Kachan, Ochako and he got sent on a mission on I-Island. Some villains stole the security terminal and they needed to keep the people safe until the system was repaired," explained Izuku, who hasn't spoken a word to you until now.  "How have your holidays been?" you asked the green-haired hero. "It was wonderful. Ochako always wanted to go to Hawaii. Since it was a surprise, she cried as we landed in Hawaii." He illustrated with a huge grin. You returned his smile. "She must have told everyone by now, don't you think? The holiday has done her well." "Yeah, so well she is throwing herself into danger again, but she is still a hero at heart so I can't complain," Izuku mumbled and shook his head. Natsuo laughed. "You're a hero too, Deku. A sometimes reckless one I have to say." "And? I am perfectly capable of keeping myself safe." Now Natsuo had to laugh so hard he almost cried. His head was red by now. "Shoto told me if you hadn't married Ochako you would have married a hospital bed." By now no one could stop laughing and even Izuku had to laugh out loud. After everyone calmed down Akemi asked you a question."Do you know when Shoto comes home? It's almost Christmas and since we could finally manage Rei coming home and Endeavour moving out, we wanted to celebrate a huge Christmas party together." "He should be home by tomorrow morning. He said they are leaving tonight. Even if he had to stay there he would come home just for Rei." you smiled. "When are you going to celebrate on Christmas eve or the day after?" "On Christmas Eve, but when he comes home later we will wait for him of course," stated Natsuo as he hugged his wife. There was a comfortable silence until Izuku noticed something in shock. "Oh no, I am so so sorry." Izuku started to bow frantically and everyone wondered what was up. "Izuku stop it. What is the problem?" you said with panic lingering in your voice. "I forgot to ask you what you want to drink."  "You don't need to worry.Everything is alright. I will just take some water." Izuku stopped bowing and apologized for it and went off to get some water for you. "Have you already bought Christmas gifts? We only have three days left and slowly I am getting stressed.
Shoto said he just wanted to spend some time with his family. We can arrange that right?" you started a conversation again. "Of course. Mom would be over the moon if he visited us more. We only got him a pair of new ties since he only got one or so." Natsuo chuckled.
You talked for hours and since the others drank alcohol, which aided in keeping the conversation going. But the conversation soon came to an end when Natsuo's phone started to ring. "It's Fuyumi," he said and turned away from your group. Akemi and Izuku continued talking, but something inside you told you something happened. You watched the expression on Natsuo's face change from cheery and bright to worried and nervous. He shortly ended the call and almost sprinted back to you. The knot inside of your stomach twisted. "We need to come home. Fuyumi said the jet of the heroes crashed. Shoto is still missing. The heroes went already searching for him." You didn't know how to feel or what to think. Blood started orbiting inside of your ears, it was so loud you couldn't hear the talking of the other guests, neither the clinking of the glass nor the bombardment of questions from Akemi. Your body was frozen and all you wanted was to cry. You experienced a chill as though a bucket of ice had been dumped over your head. Your mind replayed every horrible scenario imaginably. The image of Akemi, who was attempting to calm you down, was hazy. She talked with the other two and Natsuo carried you out of the pub.
Everyone was probably sober after the horrific news. He was the son of the former number one hero and since Dabis revealed everyone knew about him and his family, maybe some crazy villain captured him to gain the attention of the nowadays number one hero. Akemi held your hand the whole ride, but you couldn't feel the touch. Everything felt so surreal. The panic attack was coming closer and closer. Your stomach felt twisted and you started gagging. "Hold the car," screamed Akemi, it almost sounded like you were underwater.  Natsuo parked erratically. Automatically you opened the door and puked on the parking lot. Your eyes were filled with tears, and you were already trembling. You've already lost control of your head as well as your body. Akemi closed the door and Natsuo continued driving.  "It's all right. Shoto is going to be saved. He most likely went off to find the villain who attacked the plane. He'll be fine; you know him; he goes to great lengths to save people. Perhaps he is saving a child or a cat." Akemi hugged you tightly, but nothing helped. You were still trapped inside your mind. Your body is trembling, and breathing is difficult. The whole drive to the Todoroki Abode was a blur. Your vision was clouded by tears and worry. The ringing in your ears continued. "We are there," whispered Akemi in your ear. The car came to an abrupt stop with a loud screech, and everyone got out except for you. Natsuo carried you inside after opening the door next to you.
The entrance was dark, and it appeared that Rei was not present, but she quickly ran towards you after you entered. "There you are." she almost shouted. "Have you heard anything recently? Nothing has been reported in the news." her voice was shaking, but her complexion was unreadable. Natsuo set you back on the ground as Izuku got rid of your shoes. Your knees were weak, and you were proud of yourself for being able to stand on your own. Rei immediately hugged you and helped you into the living room. "How long has she been like this?" she whispered as if she was afraid that you could hear her. "Since Fuyumi called. Where is Fuyumi ?" Natsuo asked and looked around. "She is in the kitchen. Stress baking like always."
"Oh damn no no no…." As if Fuyumi was summoned, her desperate screams echoed in the huge house. You sat on the ground staring into the black screen of the TV. "He is not dead is he?" you whispered still in shock and as if a switch got turned everyone went quiet. Even Fuyumi stopped her baking and went back into the living room. "Of course not, he will come home. Safe and sound my dear." guaranteed Rei. "I will call him and the other heroes, maybe someone knows something," said Izuku, weirdly calm. "Maybe we should watch the news to keep track of things," suggested Akemi. Fuyumi put it on the news channel in mere seconds. Meanwhile, Rei hugged you tightly and mumbled comforting words to you, even though you weren't sure if they were for you or herself. But to be honest, you couldn't care less, everyone was on edge and anxious. You as his wife should be able to know that he will be safe, he always was, but something today didn't feel right. You were used to him being gone for days, weeks, or even months saving people, but the prospect of him being kidnapped by villains out to harm him made your anxious brain go crazy.
"The heroes of the safety mission on I-Island should be coming home today, but since a villain attacked the Embraer Legacy 600. Because of this, the plane crashed into the woodlands of Aokigahara. Luckily almost every hero on board survived. Gravity, Dynamight, and Scanner. Sad news occurred shortly after the crash. Shoto Todoroki, the son of the former number 1 hero, is not to be found. The search party is on their way, but nobody has seen him for 5 hours. We hope for the best and update you after the advertisement." The lady in the news pronounced every word with such boredom you wanted to rip her throat out.  "Washing machines live longer with Calgon…" the jingle of the ad was already far away from your mind to notice. "I can't reach anyone. No one is answering," said Izuku frantically and tried to dial the number of Uraraka again. "Of course, no one is answering they are searching. Let them search for him." Rei's posture was tense, and you could see her trembling even though she was acting. Tears were now running down your cheeks. "Will he make it?" you asked anxiously. Your trembling got worse and you couldn't sit still for the love of God. Fuyumi laid a blanket over your shivering body, but it couldn't ease the anxiety and worry inside of your chest. The ads were over and the news lady continued her talk. "Shoto Todoroki is known for his volunteering at multiple honorary posts. He raised more than 14 billion yen for charity with his wife Y/N Todoroki…." the talking of mundane facts calmed you down. "Here have some tea Y/n." Fuyumi put down a cup in front of you, but you were only focused on the Tv. "Could someone please turn off this nonsense? These strange facts are well-known to us all. Why are they talking about him like that, he's not even dead for fucks sake!" exclaimed Natsuo. You flinched a bit. Fuyumi grabbed the control but Rei stopped her. ". Simply turn down the volume. It makes her feel a bit better." She still hugged you. Tears were still running down your cheeks, but you still felt like you were swimming inside an ice bucket. You put your head on your knees and rocked back and forth. "They will find him soon," said Akemi loudly, so everyone would believe her. Meanwhile, images of the work on I-Island were displayed. Shoto looked into the camera while holding a small child over his head, who was brightly smiling. Your eyes were filling up with more tears. He was so kind to everyone.
Natsuo moved back and forth in the background, almost walking through the Tatami mat, Izuku still tried to call some heroes to get some updates and Akemi helped Fuyumi to clean the kitchen. Everyone was tense and on edge. "He can't possibly be dead. We needed more time; we didn't have any." you cried desperately. "He is not dead and you will have plenty of time when he returns. You will see, everything will be alright." Rei hugged you even tighter, but also spoke calmly. "I am so happy that Shoto found true love. He deserved the world since his father failed at that, but you made that possible. Since he met you he has been so much happier. Thank you, honey. He stopped being so cold and smiled more often. I am sure he is safe and sound." insured Rei. Never in your life had you felt so much anxiety, not even when he was fighting the high-end Nomu in Hosu. Your tears dried on your cheeks and there was nothing left inside of you but despair. "We can only wait. Ochako said there is still no trace of him," said Izuku, worry written all over his face.  Everyone was just so focused on the news that nobody noticed the opening of the front door.
It was Izuku who first noticed it. He activated his Quirk and walked slowly into the hallway. "There is an intruder," he whispered. Everyone stopped moving. Natsuo got his wife behind his back and balled his hands into fists as if he was ready to fight some professional villain with his bare hands. Slowly approaching footsteps resonated against the hallway wall. Rei's anxiety only increased. She was on edge by now you could tell. With every step, the culprit made your anxiety thrive. The atmosphere in the room was tense. Shoto entered the room through the shoji sliding door, filthy and battered. His jacket in hand and some dirt stains on his face and shirt.  He has dried blood on his temple, but he is still alive. Everyone got up and greeted him immediately. The tension instantly disappeared. Your eyes widened in disbelief. He truly is alive. You couldn't move an inch, everything inside of you screamed and wanted to jump onto him, scream at him for making you worried sick or just finally kiss him again. "Welcome back bro." greeted Natsuo nonchalantly as if he hadn't just walked a hole into the floor. "We were worried sick. What happened ?" asked Fuyumi as she hugged him tightly. "You gave us a good scare." Izuku patted him on his back. "what are you all doing here ?" Shoto asked confused. Your eyes were still glued onto him. "Hey why haven't you called ?" asked Rei as she finally got up and hugged him. "My phone died" he mumbled overwhelmed.  His eyes finally focused on your shocked ones. "I will tell you everything later, but now I need to see my wife." Rei smiled understandingly and let him go. He moved closer to you with short, wide steps. He gently picked you up and placed you on the ground, as if you were made of glass. "Have you missed my darling?" he asked raspily. You were only able to nod. Tears were now spilling out of your eyes and you clung desperately to his dirty shirt. You wailed like a baby but you didn't care, he was finally back. He gently stroked your back while holding you in his arms. "I am here now. Everything is alright," he whispered, so only you were able to hear his words. You continued crying and it took a while until you calmed down. "I…I…I thought you were dead." you mumbled against his torso. Shoto took your face in his hands and stared deeply into your eyes. "Love." he paused and smiled gently. "I am alive, I am well and nothing happened to me. I could flee before they got me. I am a hero anyway." his grin grew sly and you almost needed to chuckle. Of course, he would be safe, he always was. "I was just so afraid I couldn't breathe. Don't you ever dare to do something like that again or I will kill you." you began to sob once again. "You will never lose me. Ever." He kissed you deeply. Your hands are buried inside his locks. The both of you parted to take a breath and kissed again.
"An attack caused the plane to crash. With the help of my ice, I could protect myself. As a result, I became separated from the others and ended up in the area where the villains were hiding. I was able to capture them all and attempted to locate the others, but no one was near the jet, so I assumed they had been rescued. I started walking back home." he told you about his 'trip'. Like nothing big just happened he slurped his soba noodles. "Everyone was searching for you. Dumb of them to leave the plane." Izuku complained. "I am happy that you are back buddy, but I have to go now. Ochako must be home by now." Izuku got up and bowed deeply. "Thank you for the Food Fuyumi." "You're welcome." she smiled and waved him goodbye. Everyone saw him off and the chatter continued. After everyone had eaten up, the group dissolved.
As both of you finally lay down in bed, bundled up you, remembered your gift for Christmas. The clock stroke midnight and you got up. "Where are you going, love?" he asked, surprised. A bright smile spread across your face. "I know it's not Christmas yet, but I got you a present." You got the little box from the shell. A tiny bit of anxiety flooded your mind. You talked about this topic and he would never leave you. "Open it." you stretched out your arms and he took the package from your hands. Suspicion lingered in his eyes. He slowly opened the box and revealed the small blue shoes. "What's up with these small shoes?" he asked confused. "I am pregnant Shoto. The blue shoes represent the sex of our baby. It's a boy." you cheered. His eyes widened and he looked back and forth between the shoes and you. "We are getting a son." You nodded wildly. Todoroki got up and hugged you tightly. He swirled you around. "I am so happy. Thank you so much." he smiled brightly and kissed you deeply.

The Other Woman
Pairing: Xavier Thorpe x Hispanic!Reader
Summary: Xavier has been acting suspicious and Y/N thinks the worst
Warning: this is an AU fanfic where Nevermore Academy is more like Sky High, so not a boarding school but still a school for outcasts, Xavier and Y/N have been dating since they were 14 so for 2 years, Jericho normies are NOT assholes, and it takes place during the holidays, it starts December 16th. I’m also going to try to make this gender neutral for a change, comment if you want more gender neutral Hispanic reader. Y/N has a bond with Xavier like Rose’s bond with Lissa, sometimes Y/N sees what Xavier sees and feels what he feels, Y/N can’t control it.
Masterlist
December 16th, last day of fall semester
The Nevermore Academy school bus dropped Y/N and Xavier off at their bus stop.
“It’s finally winter break! I’m so excited for Christmas, are you going to Nochebuena with my family and then spend Christmas Day with your family like last year or do you have different plans?” Y/N asked. As a Hispanic, they celebrate Christmas on Christmas Eve and open presents at midnight. Xavier was aware of how his lover celebrated Christmas since he usually spends Christmas Eve with Y/N’s family.
“I actually can’t spend Christmas Eve with you this year, I’m sorry, baby.” Xavier said, kissing Y/N’s forehead.
“Um, it’s alright, flaquito, will you be free tomorrow? I really wanted to go to the winger carnival.” Y/N asked him, hugging him.
“I think I’m going to be busy all week with Christmas preparations and everything, I’m sorry. But we can hang after Christmas, okay? I love you.” Xavier said, kissing Y/N.
“Okay, I love you too.” Y/N said and they both walked to their respective houses. Y/N was taking off their jacket when they suddenly felt a pull and is now seeing Ajax on a computer screen. Xavier must be video chatting with Ajax.
“Did you get to see her?” Ajax asked Xavier. Her? Which her is Ajax talking about?
“I didn’t get to see her yet, the bus just dropped Y/N and I off. I’ll probably see her later today. She’s very cute.” Xavier told Ajax. Who’s cute? Who the fuck are they talking about?
“I’ve seen the pictures you sent me, I love the sweater you bought her.” Ajax said and that’s when Y/N was pulled out of Xavier’s head.
Xavier bought a sweater for some girl? Maybe Y/N was getting it wrong, “Maybe it was his cousin or niece…he’s not Hispanic, he doesn’t have extended family like that, oh my gosh, is he cheating on me?” Y/N thought to themselves. Y/N started pacing around their room, this can’t be happening. You know what, it might be a misunderstanding, don’t jump to conclusions, it’s probably nothing.
December 17th
“Amor, out on your shoes, we’re going out!” Y/N heard their mom yell.
“Okay, ya voy!” Y/N yelled back, they put on their winter shoes and coat to get ready.
“I have to buy some things to make flan and polvorones, you’re coming with me, you can buy whatever snack you want.” Y/N’s mom said,
“Cool.” Y/N replied, they got into the family car and when they were driving, Y/N saw Xavier hug some girl and that girl let Xavier inside her house. Y/N was internally screaming already. They breathed in and out and decided to call Xavier.
“Hello?” Xavier answered.
“Hey, Xavi, my mom is going to bake cookies today, you want to come over and help us?” Y/N asked innocently.
“I cant, darling, I’m at Ajax’s house.” Xavier said. LIAR!! Y/N screamed in their head.
“That’s okay, I’ll call you later, I love you.” Y/N said,
“I love you too, bye.” Xavier replied and hung up.
“Mi vida, qué pasa? Te noto estresado (honey, what’s going on? You look stressed.)” Y/N’s mom asked.
“Creo que Xavier me está poniendo el cuerno, lo vi hablando con Ajax, diciendo que ella se veía muy linda, y luego lo vi hace unos minutos con una chica abrazándose. No sé qué pensar, mami. (I think Xavier is cheating on me, I saw him talking to Ajax, saying she’s really cute, and then I saw him hugging some girl. I don’t know what to think).” Y/N ranted.
“Xavier is a good guy, I’m sure there’s a reasonable explanation. Now let’s get out of the car and do some grocery shopping we can even get ice cream.” Y/N’s mom said. Y/N smiled, their mom knowing exactly what to say. They bought everything they wanted and needed and then got back into the car. On the drive back, Y/N didn’t think about Xavier until they were pulled in his head again.
“See you Christmas Eve.” Xavier told the girl.
“Yeah of course, I’m surprised your SO didn’t make a big deal about you not spending Christmas Eve with them.” The normie girl commented.
“I made something up, Y/N doesn’t need to know, at least not now.” Xavier said and Y/N once again is pushed out of his head. Y/N was getting even more worried, stupid one-way bond.
December 18th
Y/N was video chatting with Enid and Wednesday
“Y/N i Don’t think Xavier is cheating on you, the boy loves you.” Enid said.
“He would be stupid to cheat on you after I threatened him with shaving his head.” Wednesday commented.
“Yeah well I’ve been in Xavier’s head twice and both times gave me very sketchy and suspicious images. Him telling Ajax that some girl was cute and then telling said girl that I don’t need to know now. Like how can you explain that?” Y/N said exasperated.
“That’s it, Wednesday and I are coming over and we’re having a sleepover, we need to take your mind off this Xavier thing. I also don’t understand how you can see inside Xavier’s head, aren’t you a seer? How can you be in his head?” Enid asked Y/N.
“How the hell am I supposed to know? There really isn’t a class about seers.” Y/N said. “Mami, vienen unas amigas para una pijamada!” Y/N told their mother. An hour later, Enid and Wednesday were knocking on the door with their duffel bags packed. Y/N opened the door.
“Thank you for opening the door, it’s so cold Wednesday actually wore her snood.” Enid said walking into Y/N’s house.
“I actually got color in cheeks.” Wednesday said walking in after Enid.
“Oh damn, it really is cold then.” Y/n said, closing the door. “My mom made some hot chocolate if you want some.”
“Yes!” Enid said dropping the duffel bag and ran into the kitchen.
“I’ll have some as well, it’s abuelita chocolate right?” Wednesday asked.
“Of course it’s abuelita chocolate.” Y/N answered and Wednesday also walked into the kitchen. Enid and Wednesday then came into the living room with mugs if hot chocolate and sat on the couch. “So what movie do y’all want to watch?” Y/N asked and then she was pulled into Xavier’s head.
“ Ajax, I don’t know what to tell Y/N. I told her yesterday I was with you when I saw Jackie and I think they knew I lied.” Xavier said. So that’s what her name is! Jackie, interesting.
“Y/N is a seer…I think they’re already suspicious of you, Enid texted me.” Oh my gosh, Enid, why do you tell Ajax everything?
“Oh damn, do you think they know everything? I don’t think I can hide it from them any longer.” Xavier said and Y/N’s out of his head.
“Were you in his head again?” Wednesday asked.
“Yes, Enid why did you tell Ajax?” Y/N asked.
“So Xavier Can know what he is doing is wrong! Like I don’t think you can handle 6 more days of this. He’s going to ruin your Nochebuena!” Enid exclaimed.
“He’s not ruining anything. I’m gonna take that fucking suppressant so I won’t get those bonding visions, they’re ruining everything. Now let’s watch a movie.”
December 24th, Nochebuena
It’s been days since Xavier started acting suspicious and the bonding visions didn’t stop, Y/N was with their parents and their extended family mingling but when it was 10pm, they got another bonding vision.
“That’s it, mami, papi, voy a salir a hacer algo, ahorita vengo.” Y/N said as they put on their jacket and left. They walked to Xavier’s house and started knocking.
“Woah Y/N, what are you doing here? I thought you were with your family.” Xavier said.
“I was. But you have been acting suspicious all week and I’m really cold, and you better have an explanation for acting suspicious because what I’m think right now is not pretty.” Y/N ranted and Xavier grabbed their hand so they could enter his house.
“Okay, what do you think is happening?” Xavier asked.
“You’re cheating on with that normie girl Jackie and you’re too chicken shit to break up with me before Christmas so you wanted to wait after which is stupid! Here’s your fucking gift by the way.” Y/N said, shoving Xavier’s gift to his chest.
“I am not cheating on you, Y/N, why would you think I’m cheating on you?” Xavier asked.
“THE BOND! The fucking seer bond, I can see what you see, hear what you hear, and feel what you feel at random times, and I saw you talking to Jackie saying that I don’t need to know. I don’t need to know what? Tell me what you’re hiding from me because I’m this close to losing my mind.” Y/N shouted.
“I am not cheating on you, I love you, I love you so very much.” Xavier said, caressing Y/N’s face and kissed them deeply. “I’ll forgive you for thinking that because I’ve been acting sketchy. I’ll show you why in just a second though. Close your eyes.”
“Okay, if you scare me, i will kill you.” Y/N said as they close their eyes.
“I was going to wait until tomorrow morning but since you’re already here, I would like you to meet Cinnamon.” Xavier said and Y/N opened their eyes and saw a cute Havanese puppy.
“Aww, she’s adorable. Hold on, why did you give me a puppy for Christmas?” Y/N asked,
“We were watching a movie and the lead had this breed of dog, you were saying how it was so cute and how you wanted one so I started looking up where to buy one when I found out that Jackie’s dog had puppies so I asked if she could save me one and she did. So this puppy was specifically reserved for you.” Xavier said, handing cinnamon over to Y/N so they can carry her and Cinnamon started licking their nose.
“She’s absolutely adorable, I love her little doggie sweater, you are the sweetest boyfriend ever.” Y/N said, kissing him. “I’m sorry for thinking you were cheating on me but I couldn’t help it, like you always spend Nochebuena with me.”
“I know, I’m sorry, but I had to make the visit is with Cinnamon, making sure she got her vaccines, she’s used to me, Havanese are good for first time dog owners so it’s perfect for you. Let’s just hope your parents are okay with the puppy.” Xavier said.
“I’m sure they will be fine with Cinnamon, she’s small, she can’t cause much harm. Thank you so much, Xavier.” Y/N said and they hugged, Xavier walked Y/N to their house and he spent the rest of Nochebuena with their family and they were playing with Cinnamon in Y/N’s room.
“You know, we’re kinda like her parents.” Xavier said.
“That’s a cute way to think of it. Isn’t that right, cinnamon? Come on, bebé, kiss your daddy.” Y/N said and they held cinnamon to Xavier’s face and she started licking him and Xavier scrunched his face.
“Thanks, Cinnamon.” Xavier said and Y/N laughed. “Oh You’re laughing? Then let’s kiss.” Xavier said leaning to Y/N but they pushed him away.
“Not until you wash your face,” Y/N said. Y/N continued playing with cinnamon. “Thanks for spending Nochebuena with me”
“Anything for you, baby.” Xavier said.
The End
Hope you liked it, Merry Christmas, happy holidays to everyone!

An Eves Snippet-
I hope it’s not TOO obvious, but Eves is absolutely my favorite character from my wip, blackflame (sorry protag!). This scene following them was one of the first ones I wrote, but I’m undecided on whether or not I actually want to include it in the first draft since it’s the only one not following Calliope.
Just prior to this scene, we see Eves being mortally wounded by [???]. Through quick thinking and trickery they are able to disappear into safety. I LOVE getting into Eves’ head and I find their dialogue quite difficult to write at times - it’s a careful balance of trying to sound “ancient” without being robotic, and also very specific word choice to convey their characteristics.
Thoughts, comments, questions, and constructive criticism are always welcome :)
The lithe, ethereal body thudded to the ground with ragged breaths. Nearly every inhale brought with it a cough that sprayed gleaming golden droplets amongst the fibers of the carpet. One hand pressed tightly against the sticky blood oozing from beneath a once-pristine shirt, the other desperately pushing against the ground to elevate into a sitting position.
Is this what I sense from mortal beings when I appear before them? Fear?
Perfect white teeth gritted against one another and Eves moaned with agony, hissing at the pain that resurged more sharply with each coming breath. Slowly, they lifted up the hem of their shirt to assess the severity of their wounds - the release of blood had slowed to a trickle, and one of the gaping holes had already begun to clot.
A day of many firsts, then, although it should not be surprising that my form can mend itself, and at a better rate than mortals.
Eves had been brutally wounded before, of course - but on that occasion it had not been stopped so easily. The very thought of it sent a shudder down their spine, and the image was dismissed as quickly as it had dared to grace their memory.
Eves’ free hand trembled with rage. The world that lovingly birthed their perfect form into being had the effrontery to taunt them with unknowns? To grant their body with healing only to make it agonizingly slow?
Their stomach and throat spasmed, breaking open the clots in their wounds and freeing more blood. They leaned forward and vomited a heavenly gilded river onto the carpet.
Even in this state, I am exquisite.
Blood seeped through the cracks of their fingers, steadfast in its journey to escape its prison.
I am a god even among gods. I cannot die.
But perhaps I must seek Leilah.
Once again, their cunning would save them; the [???] existence had only recently become apparent to Eves, and clearly not soon enough. What was more surprising was who had found [???] first. But now was not the time to think of her - no, Eves needed to act.
It is still light outside - she will be in the temple.
Stand up. I am a god. I will act like it.
Silent feet rubbed against the carpet and propelled Eves upwards, nearly causing more vomit to erupt from their mouth. They willed themselves to have new, unsoiled clothing, even as the strain of using their power tore at their insides.
I cannot die. I will not die.
It was truly ridiculous that the deities were blinded to one another, but no matter. Lovely James had tracked down one of Leilah’s Children for Eves some time ago, a beautiful, stupid woman. Stupid, of course, because she had settled for Leilah before Eves could have her.
The temple.
Eves willed their power to take them, disregarding the shred of fear that wondered if they could even make it that far. Their eyes shut as they felt the whoosh of travel, and the soles of their boots landed roughly onto the ceramic tiles of one of Leilah’s temples. Eves’ eyelids struggled against them, fluttering, but finally opened.
There. A woman kneeled before an altar in front of Eves, her backless cream-colored gown revealing the golden spinal stripe of her mark nestled atop deep ebony skin. She muttered some prayer to herself, blissfully unaware of Eves’ presence. Eves painfully stepped between the woman and the exit, forcing their facial features into a cool mask and honey into their tone.
“Simone, dear. What a wonderful occasion to see you.”
She jumped in fear at the voice and whirled around, her eyes wide as she took in Eves’ form before her. Eves hoped that their thick jacket would be enough to obscure the blood already soaking their shirt.
“Do not defile my lady’s temple with your presence, beautiful demon. Begone. I am not affected by your repulsive magic.”
“Only because you currently belong to another.”
How ridiculous to think she can resist me out of sheer willpower. So very mortal.
Eves crept forward, even as dizziness began to cloud their vision. Simone matched each step with one of her own to maintain the distance between them until her back came into contact with the stone altar.
“I have business with Leilah, lovely Simone. Summon her at once,” they crooned as they cornered her against the altar.
“I said begone, demon. I will never call for her in your company.” Her voice echoed with confidence, but Eves could feel her terror, could see the shaking hands she desperately tried to conceal. Icy blood began to trickle onto the waistband of their pants.
Come, darling Leilah, make your grand entrance.
Eves grabbed Simone by the neck, savoring the horrified shriek that vibrated from within. “You live on borrowed time. It is not often I am denied that which I desire.” Fingers pressed tauntingly into the soft flesh of her neck. “Your deity cannot heal that which is dead, can she?”
I will kill a beautiful thing if I must. I am a god among gods. I refuse to perish.
“Enough, Eves.” The hand had already released Simone before the words reached Eves’ ears - her godly presence was announcement enough of her arrival. Simone coughed violently, her fingers feathering around her neck. She stumbled forwards enough to drop to her knees in front of her deity, tears streaming down her face. Leilah bent down to lovingly caress her face, the touch erasing the hidden pains on Simone’s neck.
“You are safe now, my Child. Please leave us.” Without another word the woman ran from the room, locking the doors behind her. At the sound of them crashing together Eves released their tight reigns of control, haphazardly leaning against the stone altar. Their thoughts swirled with fog, with agony, with the ice of the blood soaking their clothes.
Leilah, her face uncharacteristically shocked, merely breathed, “You are dying, and you wish me to save you.” Eves glowered at her, even as they sank to the floor.
“I will be fine, surely. My body can heal, but I would like you to hurry the process.” They both knew it was a lie, but Eves could not bear to admit the weakness out loud. “As you can see, I have mortals to punish.”
How ironic to have called them mortals all this time, as if I cannot perish just as them.
“Mortals did this to you?” She cautiously approached Eves, stopping to kneel beside them. Her voice began to feel distant to Eves’ roaring ears.
“Heal me and you shall know all, Leilah. It is of interest to you - they are on a crusade against us. Perhaps you will be next.” Eves’ mouth filled with the sweet tang of their blood as they studied Leilah’s horrified expression. With a shaking hand, Leilah brushed away the hair plastered to the sweat beading on Eve’s forehead.
Leilah hesitated. Eves knew the debate that waged internally for her - they’d given her every reason to leave them here to die a pitiful death, but surely seeing another deity in such a sorry state must have stricken fear into her heart. Eves merely let their eyes slide shut, perhaps for the final time.
I cannot truly die. I will claw my way back to this land, and I will come for you, Calliope. You belong to me, and me alone.
Gentle hands pressed into Eves’ stomach, exploring each of the wounds from [???]. Gilded light the same color as their smeared blood burned through Eves’ eyelids, and slowly the piercing agony that wracked their body began to fade. A wicked smile stretched across Eves’ face as they opened their eyes to gaze into Leilah’s.
I am a god among gods.
I will take back what is mine.

Dream * Next!
This was my gift for the Narumayo Discord Exchange! Already on AO3, just posted here.
Well, I tried my best!
Despite the stage lights, the whirring cameras, and the other girls’ reactions, Maya keeps smiling.
When Idol Project announced their next season was to add another member to Dream * Next, she sent a video audition of Harvest Moon Night, her favorite from the girl group’s first EP. She screamed when she saw KB Entertainment’s email invitation to the pre-screening. A mass choreographed performance to the hit single Sweet, over in a blur of perfume, red skirts, and heart gestures.
Still, it was worth it to meet Desiree, Eve, Selena, and Ini. They’re so nice and pretty in person, even after watching all 100 of us at once. It must be tough to only pick 36.
The MC, Katherine Hall, continues. “Now, for the final six who will move on. Come over…number 95!”
Maya’s pulse roars. That’s her. 95. Somehow, she makes it to the head producer, Adrian, who guides her to a dressing room with her number.
“You submitted a home video, right? You need a manager for the competition, and we’ll assign one to you.” Adrian scribbles on her clipboard. “Filming your individual interview will be later tonight. Call if you need anything.” Then, she turns on her heel and leaves.
And Maya is left alone with her thoughts. She has to tell Mia, she’ll be on TV, she might become a member of Dream * Next...!
There’s a knock, and she jolts. “Come in!”
The first thing she notices is his hair: spiky but not overly gelled, and swept back like wings. He’s tall, broad shoulders well-defined by the blue suit jacket he’s wearing. And he’s surprisingly young, maybe close to Mia’s age or less. He visibly swallows, lifting a hand in greeting. “Uh…hey? Are you Maya?”
“Y-yeah. Who are you?”
“Phoenix Wright, from the Wright Talent Agency. I guess I’m your new manager and helping you out for the rest of the show. If you agree!” He blurts.
“Huh? Why wouldn’t I?”
“Actually, you’re the only one without an agency, and I’m here for this exact scenario. I don’t have a lot of experience, just my friend Larry. But I promise you, I’ll be on your side, no matter what happens.” He’s earnest and his eyes are kind. And despite her big sister’s stories about the industry, she thinks she can trust him.
She thrusts her hand out to shake. “Thank you! I’m looking forward to working together.”
He cracks a smile and leans forward. His grip is strong and warm. “Me too.”
***
She practically floats through her camera interview. Stuff like her hometown, that she’s living with her sister, and her favorite foods. Then, it’s a little embarrassing as Phoenix reviews her footage. His expression is of absolute focus, a straight line between his brows, and he rewinds some parts. He’s quiet, and Maya gets fidgety until he mutters.
“…better.”
“Um, sorry. I know I have a lot to work on-”
“No, that’s not what I meant!” He quickly interjects. “I’ll show you. This is your line, you’re here. Now, look at your feet and the other girls next to you.” He points at the screen. “You’re on the beat every time, and your spins are graceful, without losing your place. Nobody else is better.”
The compliment brings a blush to her cheeks. “Oh. Thanks, but I’m sure there is, in this crowd. Like, what about her?” She jabs at someone random, only for him to grimace, and they go back and forth for a little while. It’s fun. “By the way, what’s your favorite song by Dream * Next?”
“Well, I’ve heard Sweet on the radio, and the newest single? It was playing in the lobby.”
“That’s it?!” She pulls out her phone. “Okay, we gotta start from the beginning.” She also has to explain the lingo; Desiree’s the leader and main dancer, Eve is the main vocalist, Ini’s the visual but also covers the rap portions, and Selena is the face because she’s the best representative.
Luckily, they watch all the music videos before Round 1 commences the next day. From her position on stage, she spots Phoenix way back, clutching a latte. She waggles her fingers at him, and he flashes a thumbs up. Then, Dream * Next arrives in matching sequined outfits. The room erupts into gasps and excited chatter.
“First, we’d like to congratulate you. Give yourself a hand.” Selena’s warm prompting initiates a round of applause. “We really look forward to knowing all of you, and it starts with Round 1.”
“This is your first challenge: Showcase!” Ini exclaims. “You gotta submit one photo, demonstrating your confidence! Oh, and it’s kid friendly, no guns or overexposure, okay? Deadline’s a week, good luck!”
Maya’s stumped. To her, confidence is Mia - walking down the runway, holding her ground against Aunt Morgan’s demand for custody, standing in court as an entertainment lawyer. And she’s not Mia. She conveys as much to Phoenix, after ordering lunch.
“Hm, I think I understand. So, what can you do that she can’t?”
“I can tell which burgers and ramen are the best.”
“You really think with your stomach, huh?”
She hugs the menu. “I’m a growing girl. Besides, I exercise it off.”
He tilts his head. “Hey, wait. I have an idea for your photo shoot.”
It involves French windows and pink wallpaper, evoking a charming patisserie.  She’s dressed as a cute waitress, frilly apron included, and equipped with a silver serving tray. The set is decorated with so many macarons, a delicious rainbow on display.
She gazes longingly at the colors and muses aloud. “Should I dye my hair?”
Phoenix pauses in the camera setup, with a frown. “Do you really want to?”
“I don’t know. This could be my chance to switch up my image, before the rest of the show. Stand out, I guess?”
Instead of responding immediately, he approaches her. The frown hasn’t subsided, and he’s closely studying her hair; his fingers catch the end of a long tendril, feeling the strands. She almost misses what he’s saying. “Some idols do, but I think true talent stands out more than a bright color. Dyeing too often can also damage it. Plus I like your hair. I can always tell where you are.” His hand then rests on the top of her head, radiating a pleasant tingling heat. Then, he awkwardly clears his throat and takes a step back. “Just my opinion.”
“No, I appreciate it. I won’t change it at all.” Her heartbeat is ramped up, and she smiles through it. “Anything for my biggest fan.”
“Fan, delivery boy, sometimes janitor. A manager of all trades.” He jokingly grumbles, as he returns to the camera. “Alright, let’s go through the poses we talked about.”
Maya singlehandedly lifts the tray of macarons and beams right at him. “Gimme a tip!”
The shutter goes off.
***
“Listen, Maya, you have to call me if anything happens. Even if I’m in a different time zone, I’ll pick up no matter what. Alright?” Across the dinner table, her big sister’s stern expression is formidable.
“Of course, I will. And I’ve got Nick, I’ll be okay.”
Mia tilts her head at Phoenix. “…Yes, I’m counting on you to look after Maya.”
He gulps. “Yes, ma’am.”
“Sis, don’t scare him away!” Maya pouts. “It’s because of him that I had a successful photo.”
To her astonishment, she was chosen to move on. Round 2 is Skill, a month of intensive lessons in singing and dancing. Eve drills them rigorously, changing the rankings every Friday. It’s a lot of pressure but with eighteen girls, it’s easier to gauge the competition. Regina’s from Berry Big and the CEO’s daughter, so she’s got star power. Franziska has sheer competitive drive though, and the operatic voice associated with the von Karma name.
“Really, it’s all because of Maya’s hard work. She has what it takes to be an idol.” Phoenix says with conviction, and Maya can’t help blushing.
“Yes, she does.” Her sister gives a little smile before sighing. “I can’t wait until this job is over. At least, I’ll be back for the show’s finale. No matter what, we’ll have a party, okay?”
Unfortunately, Mia leaves too soon, and the worst day yet occurs. This time, the other girls in her group are from prominent agencies, and her cheerful greeting is met with forced smiles. Nevertheless, she focuses on the music, and she’s called to demonstrate the challenging vocal exercises for the others. Eve actually nods approval.
Then, the choreo begins, including mic passes. She sees the next girl’s fingers touch the handle and she lets go, but her trust is misplaced. The mic lands with a bang and a squeal of feedback. Somehow, her apology isn’t enough. Her remaining attempts are failures, and she falters; a shoe collides with her ankle and she bumps against the wall.
“Maya!” Phoenix rushes for her once the cameras stop, checking for injuries. “If you need to tap out-”
“No! I can finish practice. Please!”
His mouth is set in a thin line, but he slowly nods. “Okay. But if you get hurt, tell me.”
“I promise.” She does survive the ordeal, although she knows it’s not her best.
Eve delivers judgment upon each of them, exhaling at Maya’s turn. “I’m disappointed, Miss Fey. You started strong but couldn’t sustain the effort.” Her green irises darken, and she walks on, her voice fading from Maya’s awareness.
Abruptly, the leaderboard appears, and Maya’s stomach plummets. She’s fallen to 10th. If she doesn’t improve by next week, she’ll be sent home. She hobbles off stage, escaping to her dressing room. Phoenix is already there, his jacket draped over a chair. His attention swivels from the monitor to her, and he immediately stands. Breaking into sobs, she clings to him.
He lets her dry her tears on his shirt, while he murmurs soothing words. “It’ll work out. We have time. I’ve got you, so cry as much as you want.” He strokes her hair, his fingers steady and warm. His touch frees the tangles, and everything becomes smooth.
She likes it a lot. Feeling calmer, she peers up at him, her voice thick. “Thank you.”
“Seriously, it’s no problem. I told you, I’m on your side. And since you’ve had a long day, we should leave. I’ll get the car.” He’s about to go, grabbing his jacket when he pauses at her face. “What is it?”
I don’t want to part ways when this is over. She bites her lip, nervous at the flood of unfamiliar emotion. Instead, she says. “I’ll order pizza, we can pick it up.” That earns her a wry laugh. In the mirror, her eyes and cheeks are bright red.
And she channels the energy into practice. She arrives early and stays late, and after dinner, she and Phoenix review her footage, taking notes on her performance. She doesn’t falter again. She’s not ready to end her idol dreams now.
***
The week flies by, and final rankings are announced. Franziska places first, with a lift of her chin. Regina is second, bubbling with excitement. Then, Katherine trills. “Third…Maya Fey!”
Huh? What?
Reality snaps back with Phoenix wildly waving, a giant grin on his face. She gasps, and remembers to breathe. She’s led to the next room, with three large screens, a trio of dots on the floor beneath each. The screens have different images; Franziska’s standing under a feminine silhouette with a raised fist, and Regina’s picked the candy assortment. The last is unoccupied, a flower growing toward a starlit sky, and Maya steps onto a dot. Six more girls enter; Ema and Kay join her. She vaguely remembers they’re from the same small company, and while they haven’t crossed paths before, they seem nice. They chat, instantly finding common ground in snacks and cartoons. The tension within Maya releases.
The announcer is her own bias, Desiree, who beams dazzlingly. “Congrats, ladies! Welcome to Round 3: Subunit! And if you haven’t realized it yet, you’ve already sorted yourselves.” The challenge is to prepare an original music video; the best subunit is determined by the most streams, online fan voting, and grading by Dream * Next. The overall winner, however, could be any of them. They’ll find out at the live finale in two months.
Then, they’re dismissed to regroup with their staff. Ema and Kay actually share a manager, a big guy called Gumshoe. They don’t have a songwriter, but both Gumshoe and Phoenix had the same person in mind. “I’ll call Mr. Edgeworth right now! You girls can talk shop!” Gumshoe dashes off.
“Well, our subunit’s name is Cosmos.” Ema speaks first. “Should we do an astronomy theme?”
Kay fixes her steely dyed ponytail. “We’re up against Chic and Candy, so they’ll go for the obvious girl crush and cute concepts. We need something original to stand out, or else.”
“Like what?” Maya raises her eyebrows.
Ema somberly informs. “Our company’s shutting down, so this is our last shot. If nothing, the publicity will help.”
It casts a different light on the situation, and she mulls over it, long after going home. She calls Mia to let her know that she’s in Round 3, and they revel in the joy together. Then, she calls Phoenix.
“Can we look at the footage of Ema and Kay?” She also pulls up their Round 1 photos. Ema has an interest in chemistry, handling test tubes and swirling chemicals. Kay portrays a heist, dodging an array of laser beams and cradling a pink diamond.
“Sure, I’ll share my screen.” He plays the clips. “Ema’s got a three-octave vocal range with good support, and Kay’s the fastest learner, she can pick up any choreo. I think you have a great team.”
“Exactly! So why do we need to force an image? We’ve shown the ability and growth, but we have to stay true to ourselves.” And just like that, she has an idea. “Hey, hear me out…”
She explains it to everyone at breakfast, with Edgeworth in attendance as well. They’ll tell a story about past incarnations and reaffirming their current identities, pursuing the future without fear. She’s a little nervous about sharing, bracing for criticism.
But Kay exclaims. “I really like it, it’s unique! Can my other self be a prehistoric hunter? I want war paint. Ooh, and some crow feathers!”
They start spiraling into discussion, Ema liking the idea of a Renaissance woman. They’re interrupted by Phoenix clearing his throat. “Before we get too enthusiastic, we actually need lyrics first.” He and Gumshoe look to Edgeworth.
In consideration, he taps his index finger against his sleeve. “Very well. The concept is interesting. I’ll send a demo this weekend.” It’s surprisingly fast-paced but elegant and beautiful, and it has a perfect name, Existence.
As for choreography, they receive a surprise in Selena, who’s advising their subunit. She loves the time travel idea instantly. “Amazing lore. I’d love to dance to this, I wish we thought of it.” It’s the highest praise.
They make fast progress, finishing recording early and prepping for the music video. For the flashback segments, Maya’s a seeress. She thought she was wearing a toga at first, but a chagrined Edgeworth said it was a peplos. Whatever it is, the lilac fabric is soft and free-flowing, and the silvery bangles clink when she swings her arms. The jewelry does catch her loose locks though. She attempts to braid, but Mia has always done it for her. She’s in the middle of another try when Phoenix arrives with tea.
“Uh-oh. I don’t remember a bird’s nest as part of your costume.”
“Haha. I’m trying to braid it so it doesn’t get in the way. I’ll just ask Kay or Ema.” She whirls around but Phoenix takes hold of her shoulders and sits her down.
“Here, let me do it.” His hands card through the little knots, and her heart stutters. He creates three sections, and gently twists them together.
“You’re pretty good.” She remarks.
“I used to help my mom, when she had her arm in a cast for a while.”
“Oh? What happened?” She’s curious, about his family, his childhood, his favorite things. She wants to know it all.
“She had a small fracture on a skiing trip, and she asked me to style her hair, since my dad sucked at it. Your hair is much longer than hers though. Softer too.” His fingers brush her nape and shoulders, where her skin is exposed. She feels incredibly hot. “Which shampoo are you using?”
“T-the bottle with the yellow sunflower.”
“Mm. We’ll get more for you.” His voice is low and quiet in this space. The light pulling pressure is pooling at the base of her spine, tempting her to arch back. She’s on a thread, the verge of snapping, when he suddenly declares. “All done.”
She doesn’t know whether to be relieved or dismayed that it’s over. “Thanks! I’ll make it up to you!” Embarrassed, she hurries out. But a spare glance reveals his pink ears, as he scratches his neck.
***
Their music video begins with the three of them, out in a field of wildflowers. They come across a stone circle, and are transported to their past selves. There are plenty of shots of them running, appearing lost, before remembering who they are, and returning to the present. They also film choreo in a sophisticated modern set, and the video ends with them running through the flowers.
And then, it’s a matter of practicing and waiting. In a moment of temptation, they watch the videos from Chic and Candy. Chic has a great sassy song titled Superior, about prioritizing one’s own desires; Franziska, Rhoda, and Foxy strut in power suits. For the song Wow, Candy chose a circus theme, with Regina as a lion tamer, Olivia throwing darts, and Lauren spinning batons.
“People are calling us ‘nugu quality’.” Ema frowns, scrolling social media between practice runs. “What does that even mean?”
“It just means we’re new and not from big companies. So what?” Kay turns up her nose. “The others didn’t have a triple decker high note combo like us.”
Maya is pretty proud of their high notes, and she adds. “We’re not doing bad in online votes, it’s just the music video streams. And we still have the live performance.”
Phoenix isn’t worried either. “Even after seeing the others, I still like Cosmos best.”
“Yeah, I hear you playing our video all the time.” She casually jabs, though it pleases her. He truly is a devoted fan.
“Hey, I’m doing my part to stream.”
“At least, you’re better than ours. Gummy can only watch once a day, he’ll ruin the count otherwise.” Kay grins.
During their next water break, Ema addresses Maya. “You’re close with Mr. Wright, aren’t you?”
“Huh? It’s not like that! He’s my manager, after all…” Her throat constricts, and she forces the water down. She has to concentrate.
And on the morning of the finale, she’s too busy to think about her own emotions. The filming is constant, minor crises abound, and everyone’s scrambling until the last second. In the lobby, Idol Project’s comment boards are covered in supportive fan messages. Many sentiments are directed towards Regina and Franziska, that the former is like an angel and the latter can step on them any time. But what’s said about Cosmos is positive and always as a subunit.
“I liked their video the most!”
“Those high notes at the end were crazy!”
“Maya, Ema, and Kay are so in sync, they’re like a legit group already!”
But what excites Maya the most is her sister’s presence. Mia is in the guest area, and if she has jet lag, she doesn’t show it. Her eyes are brimming with pride. “Good luck, Maya. I know you can do it.” They share a tight hug, before Maya descends backstage.
During the makeup and styling, Cosmos watches the live feed. Since Franziska was the victor of Round 2, she dictated the performance order. Chic goes first, with a crew of equally tall backup dancers. Their black blazers open to white crop tops, and their bold lipstick colors match their complexions. But the highlight has to be Franziska cracking a whip, and the crowd screams.
The camera then cuts to the front row, and Regina’s sitting in a fuchsia ringmaster’s garb. She tosses her golden curls and prances up the steps, the set pieces rolling in. Candy’s brought the circus to the stage, in bombastic flair. That’s about as much as they see, before it’s their cue to get ready. Still, they can hear the brassy rhythm of the song and then raucous applause.
Then, it’s their turn. Maya tightly holds hands with Ema and Kay; they stand on a platform, that lifts to a raised platform. The lighting has dimmed to a dusky blue, the orchestra introducing the melody. They descend as they deliver the first lines of Existence, the headsets thankfully working. In the background, a simulated meteor shower adds to the lush atmosphere. The three of them are perfectly in time, every step and hand motion just like practice. Maya is the center for the bridge, and she winks directly at the main camera. Petals blow through the air, as they launch into the last chorus. Kay hits her note, Maya holds hers with a smile, and Ema adds a riff that echoes on and on. They give it their all for the end, and make their final poses. Maya holds her own heart, wildly beating as she catches her breath.
A tide of noise follows: a standing ovation and cheers, for them. Dream * Next is out of their chairs, Selena with tears in her eyes and Desiree looking utterly awed. Maya sees her sister, and Phoenix by a camera, and she bows just for them. Cosmos gracefully exits, so the scores can be calculated, and she’s walking on air. They have a group hug, delirious with happiness and relief, praising each other.
Right before she’s called for the aftermath interview, Phoenix finds her in the hallway. He squeezes her shoulder and gives the broadest smile. “You were incredible. No matter what, I’m proud of you.”
She stammers a thanks, and hardly registers the flashing cameras. She barely tastes her lunch, jumping when they’re summoned to the stage again. The suspense is drawn out, with plenty of ad breaks, but Katherine receives the envelopes at last.
“It’s my pleasure to announce that the subunit winner is…Candy!”
Their chorus plays like fanfare, as the girls cry out in delight. Then, a hush follows as everyone remembers it isn’t over yet.
“And now, the winner of this season of Idol Project. The fifth member of Dream * Next is…” Katherine’s brown eyes widen. “Regina Berry!”
The stage erupts in confetti and balloons, Regina clasping her hands to her mouth. Maya claps heartily; she really is the perfect choice, and Dream * Next will be amazing with Regina’s addition. It isn’t until she’s in her dressing room and removing her makeup, that she wonders what’ll become of her.
There’s a knock, though it’s too early for the audience to exit. It’s not Mia after all, but Desiree bearing an apologetic smile. “I’ve been visiting everyone, but I wanted to talk to you in particular. We graded Cosmos the highest; we were so fascinated by your lore and the live performance really impressed us. Here’s my card, I’ve already given Ema and Kay one already. If you want to become a trainee with KB, I’ll pull a few strings. So, don’t give up, you have a bright future ahead of you.”
“Thank you, really, for everything! It was amazing.” She manages to say. Desiree leaves, and she says something in the hallway. Then, Phoenix enters and the thrill at seeing him is tempered by his crestfallen expression.
“Hey, Maya. I’m sorry.”
A laugh escapes her. “What are you sorry for? I had so much fun and learned lots. I even made friends, we’re planning to stay in touch and hang out.” She shows him the latest texts in her group chat with Kay and Ema.
He hesitates. “About that…despite the show’s coverage, their agency is still closing.”
“Oh, no…”
“So, I was thinking to sign all three of you to my agency! As Cosmos or a new name if you like. I hope we can continue working together, but I won’t be offended if you want to consider other offers.” He’s noticed Desiree’s card. Nevertheless, his gaze is unwavering.
“And leave behind my biggest fan?” Maya half jokes, before being totally serious. She sets the card on the nearest surface and faces him. It’s a show business bargain, to spend more time with him, at the cost of burying her feelings. But this is what she wants. “I’ll sign for Wright Talent, only if you’re my manager.”
“Deal!” And though he offers his hand to shake on it, she closes the distance to hug him instead. His hands entwine in her hair, as he embraces her in return. His body feels solid and warm.
And Maya’s heart sings.

Story time!! I had joined Tumblr years ago after a friend showed it to me, but I never really used it. But then my lovely friend @m1dnyt3-w0lf sent me a tmnt fic and I was swept up (I had fallen in love with tmnt again at this point).
We are currently in the middle of writing our own chaptered stories, beta-reading off each other, but I wrote her this last year for new years, and I just wanted to share it. She gave me her self insert character to use, so I present to you my Leo x OC fic (the first fanfic I've written since 2016 👀).
Feel free to change the name as you read, and please leave me critique.
Also tagging @turtle-babe83 and @thelaundrybitch because I really like your writing and you kinda got me back into writing 😖🙏🏽
Tumblr media
The holiday season, Christmas. Just like all the previous years it had come and gone all too quickly. Eventually to a point where you didn’t even feel the holiday cheer anymore, all the while people around you were all festive. Your Christmas was spent working overtime, extra shifts, over 2 jobs. You didn’t really have anyone to spend the holidays with anyway, so you kept your self busy by working, sometimes pulling all-nighters. Everyone, coworkers and customers alike always asked the same question, “Why are you working, it’s Christmas!”; your answer always being that you could use the extra money coming into the new year. You always received pitiful looks, but you were numb to them now.
You were mopping the floors of the diner at your second job, finally closing after the late evening rush. Your mind flooded back to 6 years ago, to when you were kicked out of your home and your family. You were always the odd duckling in the family, but when you started bringing up that you wanted to pursue full time work instead of college, you were immediately thrown out. Everything you owned tossed into the snow, which wasn’t much. A “Good luck” was all you got from them. You had couch surfed for the few months left of high school before you graduated. A month later you landed a job in a warehouse that paid it employees’ good money. 2 years later everyone who helped you was repaid and you had moved into a small apartment somewhere in lower Manhattan in New York. You got a transfer to a closer warehouse and managed to picked up a night job at a diner 2 blocks away from home. It was a struggle at first, but now, everything was so natural to you. You smiled wryly to yourself in bitter triumph.
‘See, I can succeed without college,’ you muttered into the space.
‘Well, you’ve definitely proven that.’
Fight mode kicked in; you spun around swinging the mop with you ready to beat a bitch down! You relaxed when you saw your manager Jenny standing there with a grin and a bag.
‘Oh crap, sorry Jenny!’ you yelled frantically dropping the mop and fumbling with the handle.
‘At ease Ashley, I came to tell you that you can go home now. You’re already here 3 hours passed your finish time,’ she smiled taking the mop from you, ‘and I am more than capable to finish up here.’
‘It’s okay I’m nearly done anyway,’ you said reaching for the mop, only to have it pulled form your grasp.
‘I’m serious, missy. You worked through Thanksgiving and Christmas; its New Year’s Eve and you’re still working!’
‘It’s not a bother honestly!’ You tried to protest, but she just shook her head. You watched her walk behind the counter with the mop, only to trade it with your bag and winter jacket.
‘But it bothers me, do you really not have anyone waiting for you tonight?’ Your phone pinged answering her question. ‘Ah, so there is a someone is there?’ she winked.
You pulled out your phone. ‘Nope, just the phone company letting me know my bill is due next week.’
‘Aw, that’s a shame. You’re such a pretty girl, you really need a boyfriend.’
You just laughed as you pulled your coat on and headed for the door, wishing your boss a happy new year. The cold New York wind hit you as you headed home. Its not like you wanted to be alone, you just kept everyone at a distance for safety. Well, almost everyone. You looked up to the sky, watching the snow begin to fall again. You weren’t surprised when you saw a giant figure bound from roof to roof under the cover of darkness, it also didn’t surprise you when you saw the figure stop on the corner of your apartment building. So, he’s here again, is he?
You walked into your apartment, placing your bag on the couch. You stood there for five minutes before thinking “what the hell” and headed to your window, climbing back out into the frigid air and up the fire escape. You were puffing and heaving by the time you reached the roof, why am I doing this again?
‘Need a hand?’ That’s why.
You looked up to the face of the smooth voice. Of course, he would be here, it had become religious at this point.
‘Thank you, Leonardo,’ you said breathless reaching for his hand. It always astounded you just by the sheer size different. You knew you were short, but standing next to him, definitely made you feel it. And it made you mad. ‘Do you have to be that fucking tall?'
‘Do you have to ask that same question every time we meet?’ he laughed.
‘Yes. I. Do!’
He laughed again, and you melted inside. It was like music, and you felt blessed every time you heard it. And that smile, made your knees weak on sight. He followed behind you to the other side of the building where a table and chairs sat, mainly for those that hung their washing during the hot days. You set your still hot food down on the table top before you turned and leant against it. Looking up, you jumped a little to see Leonardo standing close to you. His brilliant blue eyes glowing in the low light of the night.
‘Why are you here again Leonardo, I’m sure you have better things to do.’ You didn’t mean it to sound so dejected, but that’s how you were feeling.
‘Crime’s been slow since it’s New Years. And how many times have I told you to call me “Leo”?’ he shifted closer ever so slightly.
‘I’ve lost count at this point.’ You turned your head to the side, he wasn’t even that close, but you could still feel the heat radiating off his body. ‘Also how are you not cold, aren’t you a reptile?’
‘Donnie says its because of the mutagen, Raph says its because the stress keeps me running, and Mikey says and I quote “It’s because you’re too hot to handle dude!” so I really don’t know.’ He laughed again, but from the corner of your eye you watched his shoulders slump.
‘What’s up?’ you asked walking around the table.
‘It doesn’t bother you that I’m a mutant?’ he asked.
Not this again. ‘No, it doesn’t.’
‘I don’t scare you?’ his head dropped; he was no longer looking at you.
‘No, you don’t. why are we doing this again?’ food forgotten, your face scowled. You could never understand his self-sabotage. It was completely on accident that you had seen him and his brothers, you were just chilling on the roof when they dropped in. You were surprised at first, but you simply tossed them some chocolate and wished them a good evening before disappearing back into your building. Since then, Leonardo had made it his goal to annoy you, visiting almost every night. Originally, he said it was to make sure you wouldn’t say anything to anyone. But now, he had probably listed every excuse in the book to be where he is now. At first it bothered you, but then, you began to warm up to him. And eventually, you heart had decided that he was the one it wanted.
“…do you really not have anyone waiting for you tonight?” echoed through your mind as you stared at the giant turtle in front of you. The longer you stared, the harder it was for you to hide the blush that was forming; even harder to resist the smile that was forming at the corner of your lips. I actually do this time. You didn’t wait for his answer, you just scooped up the snow into a ball and threw it at his face.
‘If I was scared of you, I wouldn’t have done that…’ you said triumphantly at his stunned face, ‘or… THIS!!’ you threw another snowball at his face, your smile full of sass and devious planning; your heart flipping with glee. New Year’s resolution: be happy for me for once. ‘So, what are you gonna do about it, Le-o-nar-do?’
He blinked before he wiped the snow off his snout, wiping away any self-doubt; replacing it with the most evil grin you’d seen on his face. It made you shiver with delight. He didn’t say anything, he just charged for you at full speed. You dodged him, skidding under the water tank. You quickly made another snow ball ducking out and pegging it at the back of his head. It hit him square, and you watched him shiver; snow must’ve gone down his shell. He turned on you again, giving you no chance to make more ammo. You ducked back under the tank backing out the other end with more snow in your hand. You ran out into the open with the new ball and turned ready to throw; but he wasn’t anywhere to be seen. Your eyes scanned every inch of the roof, stepping as quietly as you could with your guard up.
‘Boo.’
You spun and went to throw your weapon, but he was much faster, catching your arm like it was nothing. You dropped the winter ball; time seeming to stop around you as you stood mere inches from each other. The height difference meant you had to crane your neck to see him, but it didn’t seem to bother you this time. He lowered your arm, but his grip didn’t leave you; instead he began to gently massage small circles into your wrist. Those small motions made your heart race as you instinctively moved closer, as did he. You both began breathing heavily, creating smalls could between you from your hot breath. You both just stood there staring, in silence, as the world around you began the countdown into the new year.
‘What’s your resolution?’ you asked.
He smiled, pulling you in with his free hand and slowly dipping down. ‘To make you mine,’ your heart skipped, ‘what’s yours?’
‘To be happy,’ you whispered.
He chuckled softly, ‘Sounds good.’
‘And to kiss you finally.’
Before he could say anything, you reached up on your toes and planted a kiss against his warm lips. He froze for a moment, clearly shocked. You starting to thinking it was a bad idea, but you felt him lean in closer, pulling you flush with him. The world around you was full of cheers and “happy new year’s” as you kissed on the rooftop, feeling the happiest you had ever felt in many years.
When you finally parted, you were both dazed and breathless. He smiled down at you as you shied away into his chest, embarrassed that you had to be the one to initiate. He just laughed at you, resting his chin on your head as he wrapped you in his arms.
‘Happy New Year, Ashley,’ he whispered.
‘Happy New Year, Leo,’ you whispered back.

2. When Icarus Fell
“Eve.” “...” “Eve!” Evelyn groaned in pain, opening her eyes to look at the person who dared trying to wake her up. This felt like one of those bad hangovers, only a thousand times worse. “Eve!” the voice said again. Evelyn turned her head around, not being able to find the source of that voice, letting out a frustrated groan. “Evelyn don’t do that, you were sedated.” Another voice sternly spoke. “What?” she finally replied, her throat feeling sore like she slept a thousand years.
She finally recognized the voices, they were coming from behind her seat. She turned around, cursing herself for not listening to the voice. “Jaha? Griffin?” She said, not believing that her two old best friends were on the same ship as her. This would be just as awkward as she anticipated.
“Yeah… long time no see uh?” Wells said with a sad smile. She had missed him while in prison, and even if he came now and then to say hello during the first months, he stopped after a while, probably bored by the girl's monotonous responses.
Clarke instead was just staring blankly at her with an expression that Evelyn couldn’t quite read, which was strange since she was pretty observant. “What are you doing here?” Clarke finally said, giving her a suspicious look. She never came to see her when Evelyn got locked up.
Evelyn stayed quiet for a bit. They wouldn’t understand , she thought. They already saw me knocking off a guard, they don’t need any more reason to think I’m a total basket case.“Stealing medicines…” she finally replied, keeping her eyes low. While Wells looked like he believed her and sent her a reassuring smile, Clarke was looking even more suspicious than before, her face still a mask of indifference.
That girl wasn’t dumb, Evelyn thought with a sigh. “And you? Why are you here?” She asked, trying to change the subject. “Wells got arrested for attacking a guard and… well I think you already know why I am here…” Clarke said and glanced at Wells, who looked embarrassed. Obviously she knew why Clarke got locked up: she knew the Ark’s secret, just like her and Wells, by what she heard. She also heard that Wells turned her father in for the same reason, and judging by the embarrassed look Wells had on his face it must be true.
But she didn’t have much information since she was locked up three years ago. When she first saw Wells on the ship, she thought that she was going insane. There was more possibility that all the time locked up drove her to madness then the Chancellor's son being part of the delinquents.
Evelyn was so focused on thinking why Wells turned in Clarke’s father to notice that the two were now fighting. When she realized she turned away embarrassed and tried to comprehend what was happening.
They were really going to the ground.
Just as she turned back she realized a boy was staring at her. A boy who was definitely too old to be on that ship . She recognized his jacket as a guard one, even if it was too worn to be his.
Only then she realized that he was talking to her but it was too late.
“Are you deaf by any chance?” He asked as he clicked his tongue in an annoyed way. “What?” “I asked you a question like three times but you didn’t reply” He explained shrugging. What a rude person she thought. “Oh sorry.” Evelyn replied shortly, glad that she was still high. “What was the question?” She asked then. “I asked if you were Marcus Kane’s daughter.” Oh of course, now not only was she known as a raging psychopath but people already started to recognize her as another raging psychopath’s daughter, she contemplated.
Being Kane’s daughter wasn’t exactly a good thing, especially in a ship full of delinquents who hated him. The people on the Phoenix hated him because he didn’t privilege them like many others seemed to do, the people on the Walden and on the Colony hated him for locking their kids up and floating their friends.
Fantastic .
“You are a guard, aren’t you?” She retorted. He looked worried for a second, then nodded. What a strange group of people she thought. “Then you know who I am.” she concluded.
The boy gave her a strange look before nodding and focussing his attention back to the wall in front of him.
“So, since I think it’s obvious you’re not one of us, how did you get in there?” Evelyn asked. She had a weird feeling about him, even though she tried to brush it off since she didn't like anyone who talked to her.
He sent her a look full of what could only be described as pure terror before replying under his breath “None of your business.”
She just shrugged and turned her back at him. She wasn’t really willing to make friends or to talk. She was just going to mind her own business and let the more ambitious ones do all the work.
Just as she turned around again she heard the little screen in front of her turning on, playing a speech given by the chancellor Jaha. “Prisoners of the Ark, hear me now…” he started saying. She closed her eyes, not really caring about what he was saying. But she didn't miss the worried look on the guard's face when he saw Jaha.
Weird .
She was almost falling asleep as she was already exhausted. She needed whatever they shoved in her neck to wear down before hitting the ground if she didn’t want to look completely out of her mind. Which she already did.
But just when she started relaxing she heard a loud crash, followed by someone’s scream. The screen abruptly shut off and she started panicking again.
At this speed they were going to crash.
She wanted to be a pilot, when she was still a child and everything was still possible. People found it weird that the daughter of one of the most important beings on the Ark chose such a job. Pilots came from the Walden, sometimes from the Colony. Never from the Phoenix.
You had to be little to squeeze yourself in those cubicles, and she was one of the few people who weren’t malnourished on the Ark. It was a dangerous job, pilots often blew up in the atmosphere because of some malfunction, or ended up without a limb.
But Evelyn had the habit of not giving a fuck, and signed up for it as soon as she was old enough to. She never finished her studies, but she was going to die on a rocket ship anyway.
Quite ironic. Quite sad.
Evelyn gripped her harness so hard that her knuckles turned white, and was glad that whoever put her on that seat was careful enough to buckle her safety belt. At least she wouldn’t be catapulted from what was now becoming a burning oven dropping from the sky.
Small pieces of burning metal rained on her and the rest of the passengers as the ship was quite literally exploding. Evelyn let go of the harness and brought up her arms around her head, covering it from the hits as tears of pain came to her eyes as the little pieces impaled the skin of her neck and arms.
Sparks started to fly and the lights went off. The propulsor started to roar almost loud enough to cover the screams of terror coming from the delinquents as they fell from the sky. Her metal seat started to burn, and she felt the urge to take off her jacket, but she knew that if she did the skin would end up raw in a few seconds from either the boiling seat of the splinters flying around.
We entered the atmosphere, we were going to die , she thought.
The only thing she could think about was that old story she had read when she was still on the Phoenix, about a boy falling from the sun. His father had given him a pair of wings to free himself but he flew too close to the sun and they melted.
Icarus.
She indeed felt like Icarus, who came too close to the object of his desire and was now plummering to his death. Evelyn never liked the Greeks too much, but at that moment she wished that she did, so that she could remember what happened to the guy.
She could probably figure out the answer for herself.
She looked out from the porthole at the green and light blue colors flashing in front of her, roaring flames around the window, before she closed her eyes for what she thought would be the last time, preparing herself for the fatal crash.
The roaring sound became a piercing screech and a wave of pain ran through Evelyn’s body as her scream joined the others’, the ship shaking so hard that a few delinquents were ripped from their seats and thrown against the walls.
But the fatal crash didn’t come. Well, there was a crash, but it wasn’t fatal.
At least not for her.
A pair of guys were lying on the floor unconsciously, a few delinquents peering over to check on them.
Were they dead?
The ship was deadly silent and the air smelled like fried metal and blood, a smell that made Evelyn’s stomach turn in disgust. Everyone was glued to their seats, afraid that if they moved they would discover some injuries.
The girl moved her fingers and her feets, then her arms and leg, trying to find if there was a broken bone. There wasn’t. She checked her arms for any injury and touched the back of her neck to see if there were some splinters stuck in it.
When she realized that she was overall fine, even though her neck hurt like a bitch, she tried to take her harness off as quick as her shaking hand permitted and headed to the lower level with buckling knees. She didn’t spare a glance to the two corpses below her feet.
“Just back it up!” She heard “the guard” yell and weirdly everyone listened to him. Evelyn didn’t understand what the problem was and why didn’t he just open the goddamn door but then she saw Clarke making her way down to the boy.
“Stop!” She yelled, “The air could be toxic.”
“Just what we needed.” Evelyn mumbled, causing a boy behind her to laugh. She turned around to look at him. He seemed ok, beside the goggles he had on his head.
“I’m Jasper, Jasper Jordan.” He said “And this is Monty Green.” He continued, looking at the boy beside him. The other guy seemed okay too, maybe a little less crazy than the first one.
“Evelyn, nice to meet you.” She replied, purposefully not saying her last name.
Then she turned back to look at Clarke and the boy discussing if the door should be opened or not. Evelyn shook her head in disapproval. If the air was toxic they were already dead, so they could just get it over with and open the door.
“Bellamy?” A pretty girl said with wide eyes.
She looked familiar, Evelyn thought.
Then it clicked. That was Octavia Blake, the girl who got hidden under the floor for 16 years. That meant that the boy was her brother. Of course now it made sense to Evelyn why he was on that ship.
“Oh my god, look how big you are.” Bellamy said.
She felt bad for them, maybe even a little jealous since she knew that no one would risk their life for her like Bellamy did for Octavia. Maybe it was better this way she thought, since she was damn sure she wouldn't risk anything for nobody.
If there was one thing that she learnt from her father was to put herself first, if she wanted to survive. She looked away, wanting to give them their privacy, but clearly not everyone agreed with her.
“Where’s your wristband?” Clarke asked Bellamy.
“Do you mind? I haven't seen my brother in a year.” Octavia spat, clearly annoyed by Clarke's interruption.
Silence fell on the ship as everyone looked confused.
“No one has a brother!” a boy shouted.
“That’s Octavia Blake, the girl they found hidden under the floor!” another girl replied.
Octavia looked furious, as she was ready to attack all of them, but Bellamy caught her. “Let’s give them something else to remember you by.” he said to her.
“Like what?”
“Like being the first person on the ground in a hundred years.”
A smile formed on the girl’s face as she glanced one last time at her brother before advancing towards the door, Bellamy working on its opening.
That was it. The moment that Evelyn both feared and was waiting for.
Bellamy opened the door and colors surrounded them.
The first thing that caught Evelyn’s eyes was the colors, a deep blue and green surrounding them, much different from the gray and black they were used to.
The sky was blue, the trees and grass bright green. It looked like a painting. The air was full of smells that Evelyn couldn’t comprehend. Some delinquents were holding their breath, afraid that the air could be toxic.
Octavia took a step out the ship, then another.
“WE’RE BACK BITCHES!” The yell filled the air as she jumped out the dropship, everyone running towards the exit, excited to be there.
Evelyn started to look around once she stepped out of the ship. She shielded her eyes with her arm, not familiar with the sunlight. A smile of pure joy formed on her face.
At first she could only see the colors, not the shapes. Flashes of green and blue surrounded her as she spun around, taking in as much as she could. The trees were so much taller than she expected, and the sky looked endless. Her head was spinning and she took a big breath like it was the first time she ever breathed.
It looked like they landed on a circle shaped glade with a wood around it. The sky was deep blue, the grass was green and thick. It looked like a dream.
“Wow.” She heard Wells whisper behind her.
“Yeah I know.” The girl replied breathlessly.
It seemed like this time Icarus lived.
For now at least.

I WANNA HEAR ABOUT THE ARACHNIKIDS ALWAYS BEING WITH SAYU CREW AU THAT YOU JUST TALKED ABOUT (sorry if this sounds too demanding but I’m so intrigued!!!!)
lol, you're good! I was able to tell this was more intrigue than being demanding!
[Adding this after I wrote everything. This came out a LOT longer than I intended. I said I wasn't gonna get into the history or that this would become a fully fleshed out AU (I still don't think it is honestly) but I did write a lot more than I intended. I probably forgot some stuff or went off on tangents and didn't connect back, but your ask made me start thinking a lot so have fun reading all of this! Especially if you were really excited about this AU, I hope I did it justice lol]
I will say, this probably isn't going to be a super fleshed out AU (not like most of mine are half the time lol), so instead of some complicated backstory as to why the Arachnikids and Crew ended up as a group, it will be more simple (so I'm not going back into super past history during like the border war or something to justify the group forming). [[I say this and then I kinda go into a justification as to how this group came to be later on down the line lol]]
I also don't have exactly much for this AU at the moment. I did see your ask you sent about your ideas for the AU, I forgot what it was at this moment since I just skimmed it since I want to give a version I think would happen before possibly altering it with other people's ideas (plus I might want to doodle something with your ask if I get time). So I'll give what I think this AU would hold.
So firstly, I honestly don't think that ALL the Arachnikids would be in the group. Well I guess that depends on who you consider an Arachnikid actually. If you see Hobie as one, I don't see it really being in the group, same with Noir or Porker.
I do see Pav, Miles, and Gwen as definitely being in the group. By extension I can also Gaya since Pav would be in it. For Margo and Peni, it can a toss-up honestly where they could be or could not be.
This actually does call into question how Nueva York would be affected by this without Miles. Looks like Hobie, Noir, and Porker aren't getting out all that soon unless they complete the programs. But anyway, let's just ignore that can of worms for right now and just get onto the mermaid part lol.
Also, so I'm not constantly using Sayu Crew and Arachnikids, I'm just gonna say like the team so I don't have to keep using both titles.
Anyway! I think the team would still start with Tila and Remi interacting at first (Tila stealing Remi's art for one of her songs/covers then apologizing after realizing what she did). Then instead of bringing on Dodo and Sofa, it is Gaya and Pav who join next because of Remi and Pav's relation to Eve.
I can see Pav and Remi being friends after meeting as kids when Eve took Remi to see her side of the family at some point (Eve being so much older she was hanging out more with older members of the family while Remi gravitated to Pav and that age group of the family).
Once Remi and Tila kinda teamed up I can see Remi telling Pav this (either in person on a visit or online) in a very excited manner and then it turns into Pav and Gaya wanting to join in and have fun.
It's mainly just animatics and drawings with some voice acting, sometimes a short full animation would come out, but it got quite a few people interested online. That would be where I can see Gwen getting really into these mermaids online since they expressed a kind of teenage femininity that she wanted to be, which then led into Miles getting into these mermaids to try and have something to talk about with Gwen (and later becoming a pretty big fan himself).
Once the team so far saw how popular they were getting, Remi and Tila recruited Sofa and Dodo respectively since they were already friends and knew those two had skills that could help them out, which only helped the quality of their project to keep getting better.
Miles and Gwen being really big fans of the project probably made their usernames known to the team. Especially if Miles and Gwen made fanart and tried making some music , which made them really popular in this little fandom that started to be made online.
Overtime I honestly see Miles and Gwen virtually becoming part of the team (like how Pav and Gaya were mostly virtual compared to the Crew was still physically close to each other).
Miles and Remi would work as designers for the mermaids. Gwen would help make music (Miles would help with lyrics) but also became another voice for a third mermaid (before it was just 2 with Tila and Gaya. Before it used to be one with Gaya the talking voice and Tila the singing voice, but that changed as they got more popular, some fans still get confused why Sayu's voice changed lol).
Pav also helped out with inspiration and stuff, making cool looking realms, landscapes, designs and more with his powers (kinda looking like AI art from the early days, before it started becoming like photo realistic and junk like that) and having Gaya take pictures to send to the team to work on.
I can also see Pav doing cool stunts that Gaya would record and send in to the rest of the team. Things that Dodo just wouldn't be able to capture with mo-cap either because he lacked those skills, the environment wasn't right, or it went beyond what mo-cap could actually capture at the time.
All of this was going well and good, except that Sofa was basically doing all the editing and putting the whole project together by themself, and were starting to get very overworked since almost none of the others could really help them out in this area. I think Miles definitely would have started learning more editing skills to try and help Sofa out at this point (maybe Ganke taught him or Ganke might come in at this point, I don't know what Ganke's lore is and if he has a tech background).
However, what I see happening is the team kinda asking for help with their project, like if any of their fans would want to help them out in this area or knew someone who could be hired (these are still teens who aren't part of NSR yet, so it's not like they are completely rich or rolling in money).
But the team is in luck! One of their more recent fans is really good at tech stuff, especially things like 3D animation or rigging up avatars! This would be when Margo ends up joining the team. She and Sofa work on the editing and software of the mermaids, with maybe Remi and Miles helping with video editing at times.
Now, at this point, I would say that the mermaids (Sayu, Aoi, and Yua are definitely made at this point, or at least versions of them are) have been around for maybe like 2 years. I can see the team is still about a year away from actually being signed onto NSR. I do think it took the OG Sayu Crew a long time to get enough skill and recognition to be at the Megastar level we see them at (not to mention having to get hologram tech at some point because I doubt Sayu was on the screen when first performing at a Light Up audition).
So right now, the Sayu project, or Mermaid project (whatever it would be called because I doubt it would be called the Doki Doki Mermaid Club in this AU, as that was a spin-off game that was made after Sayu was NSR in my version of things), has Remi, Miles, Tila, Gaya, Gwen, Pav, Dodo, Sofa, and Margo.
The mermaids I'll just use the names I gave them, but honestly with this AU they might change drastically because of the added people in the creation process. Sayu is voiced by Tila, Aoi is voiced by Gaya, and Yua is voiced by Gwen. I can actually see Gwen at some point during the time working on the project probably came out socially to her friends as trans and so when Yua was being made a decision with the team was made to one day make her transition (which happens before joining NSR) so that Gwen could grow with the role as time goes on and she does more voice training. As of now though, Yua is probably like a merman or a mermaid but the backstory hasn't been fully revealed yet and so just has a slightly deeper voice (as Gwen at this point hasn't done any voice training at all).
Miles, Pav, and Remi are all working on visual art for the project. Gwen, Miles, Tila, and Remi are working on songs. Dodo, Pav, and Gwen are working on the motions/mo-cap. And Margo and Sofa (with some help from Miles and Remi at times) are working on the editing and software of the project.
All of this is well and good, but like I mentioned earlier, they are gonna have to figure out a way to get Sayu into the physical world in order to ever be able to try out for a Lights Up audition. In the OG version, I can see Eve actually helping Remi get connections, but in this AU I can actually see Peni being the person they go to.
I like the idea that Peni's family is very tech savvy (most of them probably are technomancers) so she would have the resources to help them. This is probably before she accidentally killed her father with her powers messing up his medical equipment at the hospital.
Honestly, I think it would be really nice if being a fan of the Sayu project could have helped her with her technomancy. Like I can see her making mini robot figurines and stuff because she was inspired by seeing the mermaids and thought their designs were cool and just naturally honed her work through a hyperfixation. So yeah! In this AU kits father is probably still alive! How cool is that! :D
Anyway, I can see Peni making some cool hologram or something of Sayu, something still pretty wonky and not perfect, and posting it online in the fandom/community space. Which absolutely catches the attention of the whole team as it was something so cool, done by someone so young (I see her as the youngest of the Arachnikids).
There would definitely be a line of communication that opened up about how cool kits work was and all that. Peni would be so happy to have been recognized for kits work and show kits parents happily! Something something, I don't really know how this part would happen, but I can see Peni joining the team.
Maybe her dad travels a lot and (considering I see him as a technomancer) probably has connections to robotic works in other areas (like Vandelay or J-1), which would allow Peni to go visit the main part of the team (the OG Sayu Crew) and talk about making an actual working, life-sized hologram of the mermaids.
Either that, or I can see Peni being able to visit Miles and Gwen (as they are closer than Pav and Gaya or the OG Crew), and there they make "live action" videos of the Mermaids. It would required a lot of editing and really good internet, but I can definitely see the team working together to make this video happen (it definitely would not be a livestream for a while as they sort out all the bugs or find a way to get everyone into one area).
Actually, this could be how Ganke gets roped into the situation! He could have been the videographer for any life action stunts as well as like a boom operator with his silencing powers. The team never had to worry about weather conditions thanks to Ganke's powers!
This skill would later help the team when they were working on shot compositions and stuff. Making sure all the mermaids were framed correctly at all times. This would be one less thing Margo and Sofa would have to focus on which allowed special effects (especially in livestreams) to become so much better since both editors could work at the same time without having to focus on 3 mermaids.
This new addition of a different media like this would really push the mermaids' popularity skywards. Especially considering people are now asking if they could meet these mermaids in person. Fans started comparing them to robot stars like 1010 or other robotic artists, which was just a huge boost in confidence for the team.
Honestly, I can even see a new mermaid being put into the mix. The only ones left are Haru and Renho, and I can kinda seeing Peni's voice and personality fitting Haru a lot. That kinda leaves Renho out of the mix, which I am sad about.
The only way I can really see all 5 being in the mix is if Margo ends up also being a voice actor (the team probably wanted to keep mostly feminine voices with an exception for Yua who would later get a more feminine voice as Gwen voice trained).
I can see Margo actually taking up a voice acting role, but that would shift the roles around a bit, but if Ganke is also on the team, as well as Margo and Peni learning how to use their powers more, this is definitely something that can happen!
So in this case, to have all 5 mermaids present before they ever end up at NSR (which I think would kinda be a goal at this point for the team, but they also just want to have an established group of mermaids) the roles would kinda look like this:
-Voices: Tila (Sayu), Gaya (Aoi), Gwen (Yua), Margo (Renho or Haru), and Peni (Haru or Renho).
-Mo-cap/movement: Dodo (Sayu), Pav (Aoi), and Gwen (Yua). Margo would learn to use her powers (astral projection) in a way to be more tech savvy thanks to Peni and would be able to control both Renho and Haru without actually having to do mo-cap (Peni can communicate with Margo through the computer, I can explain this more in another post if I remember lol).
-Live Editor: Sofa and Ganke mainly for live edits (Margo used to do this before being the main mover for Renho and Haru).
-Post Editor (not live): Sofa, Ganke, Margo, and Peni. Miles and Remi help with video editing.
-Hologram/robotic engineer: Peni. She is also the connector between the holograms and the mo-cappers. Without kit the mermaids literally cannot be holograms (this problem gets fixed after the team becomes Megastars as they have the money and resources to make a mechanical connector for IRL holograms to work).
-Animator/Artists: Remi, Miles, and Pav for the most part. 3D animations or anything with models is a group effort honestly but that would fall more into the post editors' hands (2D animation and comics are solely Remi and Miles job though, with Pav helping them get their ideas out physically with his powers)
-Music (lyrics): Tila, Gaya, and Miles are the main lyricists. I can see Dodo helping in this regard as well as Pav.
-Music (non-lyrics): Remi, Gwen, and Dodo. Miles is learning to make music. Sofa and Margo help with editing the music (Sofa more than Margo as they were brought up in a musical city and has more experience with EDM music than she does).
Uh, I think that's all the roles for now that I can think of. I tried to make it realistic in what they would do in terms of work load and skills they have/could have. Honestly looking at this, Tila and Gaya have the least work it seems lol. However, they are probably the ones making the bulk of the lyrics for the music and probably the dialogue/script for any animations (especially if the two get in character and end up making a lot of funny banter).
Anyway, once all of this was settled and all 5 mermaids were introduced, I can see the group trying to get a Lights Up audition. It definitely took some parents more convincing than others (like Gwen's and Miles) but with all the progress that the team has made, I can definitely see them having enough evidence for all their parents to let them go and try out for NSR.
I bet almost all the parents didn't believe they would actually be successful. Thinking that most likely these kids would be turned down and they would have to try again when they were older. So it came as a HUGE shock that the mermaids actually made it and were accepted with basically a fully acceptance from the standing Megastars at the time and from Tatiana.
Which basically meant that the team literally just skipped over a ton of work of having to prove themselves and work their way up to being Megastars. They were literally right at the cusp and a few months of work would grant them the title of Akusuka's charters!
That is to say, it would IF their parents actually let that happen. We know that the OG Crew's family does end up letting this happen (one way or another, I didn't even think about the Crew's emancipation from their families so that had to have happened at some point during all of this). But the other parent's might not be as willing to let their kids go off to a new country and be superstars.
Pav's family is definitely letting him go. He has family in the area and with Eve being a Megastar already, she could help him control his powers (which he is already really well in control of, I will try to talk a bit about the powers more at the end of this, I hope I remember).
Gaya's might be on the fence. On the one hand, this is something she put years into and it has shown she is very talented and could potentially become very rich, famous, and happy. On the other hand, she if still very young and they don't want her to go alone or to move the whole family (I can see her father willing to go with her, giving up his job where they live and trying to find another one if this is truly what Gaya wants, but the rest of their family might not approve).
Peni's family is probably not found of the idea in all honesty, but her parents would definitely be willing to move to Vinyl City if the dad could also get a contract specifically with J-1 or any other tech company in the area (which he would get and be willing to move Peni and the family there, plus they probably have better cybercare there than anything Vandelay could offer which is another plus).
Margo's family, depending on how you see them, would be either pushing her to go or trying to keep her there with them. She says in the movie her home life isn't great, and there is a lot of yelling (and probably neglect as she can just sit on her VR headset all the time in their minds), so she might just be able to promise to send money to them and they would allow her to leave.
Okay, so now Ganke, Miles, and Gwen's families. I do not see them at all being on bored with this decision. They all want what is best for their kids and this does not seem like it would be a good fit. Not with them all being so young and Vinyl City being so far away.
It also would cut in deeply to their education which I see all three of those families taking very seriously. Peni is probably gonna be homeschooled for a bit, Margo would take online classes, the Crew basically drop out, Gaya and Pav would enroll in a Vinyl City school probably. But Miles, Gwen, and Ganke are already in very good schools of their own (and Miles' family need a scholarship for that school I'm pretty sure), so even if the world runs on music, this change from a good schooling to just playing music probably doesn't seem like a good idea for their parents.
I can see Ganke's parents eventually giving in and letting Ganke go work for NSR as long as he get into a good school in Vinyl City and keeps his grades up (they would try to find a way to move to Vinyl City in the meantime as they can't fully uproot their lives right at that moment and this deal is a very limited time offer).
Miles' parents are probably extremely against the idea. Think this is not something that will be a forever career, or that it will become unstable (especially if the blackouts of Vinyl City are well known, which Miles would fight against and saying this could help the city and the world if they could produce enough power with their music). It would just be a very big back and forth but eventually they would see how much this truly means to Miles and let him go. I can see his mom going with him but his dad has to stay behind so he can try to transfer jobs or tie up loose ends.
Actually, depending on when this is, Aaron might still be alive (in this case, instead of meeting Gwen in a support group, they just met online in the mermaid fandom). So instead of Miles fighting alone in why he should be able to go to Vinyl City, Aaron would be there right with him and is the one to convince Jeff and Rio to let Miles go (Aaron probably went with Miles instead of the parents since it would have been hard for them to leave while Aaron could easily accompany Miles to a new life).
The main problem now is Gwen. Since Aaron is alive, Peter probably is too, at least in this AU (because I am now just realizing this, I don't know how to really put Peter into the story, so let's just say he was always helping support Gwen but couldn't really care about the mermaids themselves and so never got into helping with the project himself). Gwen is also still pre-transition and definitely not out to her dad. Or at least she wasn't before the auditions happened.
See, in my head, Gwen did get voice training thanks to the team helping her, but she never used her feminine voice around her dad at all. So when her dad heard her voice, he didn't even realize it was Gwen. Only after he looked up more about the mermaids (as I can see Gwen keeping a lot of this secret or super vague) did George realize Gwen was voicing the transgender mermaid with a very feminine voice. He looked through a lot of the old videos and could hear the voice transition over the years and kinda realized Gwen is probably trans and just never told him.
Instead of waiting for her to come home to talk, he called her up while she was still in Vinyl City or on the plane and tried to confront her. If she was on the plane, I can see her running away to Peter's once she landed and trying to hide from her father. There she would do her best to find a way back to Vinyl City, especially after she realized that she was the last one of the team that needed to get some kind of permission or give and okay. So she just has Ganke, Peter, and Miles help her get to Vinyl City without her dad knowing (probably using Remi and Pav's connection to Eve to do this).
If she was still in Vinyl City, she would have not gone back home and tried to stay with the Crew or with Eve if Remi explained what was happening and Eve offered her own place.
At this point in both options, there would definitely be some corruption and abuse of power on Eve's part to make sure that Gwen would be allowed to stay in Vinyl City and work against her father's wishes even though she is a minor. To Eve, this is helping Gwen get out of a potentially bad situation, but to George it feels like kidnapping or some horrible shit going down and he is losing his daughter. He'd do his best to get her back and would quit his job and move to Vinyl City to try and make things right.
Since he had time after his phone call with Gwen (they probably didn't talk on the phone about this) he never freaked out for a moment and said something to push Gwen away. No, instead this whole issue happened because Gwen was terrified of the potential that her dad would not like hearing she was trans. So instead of a reactive runaway scenario, it was a preemptive runaway scenario.
Anyway, that could probably be a small plot for the Revolution (imagine George and Kliff teaming up to try and take down NSR for their own reasons! ooooh!).
So yeah, once all of that had been squared away, the team is all set to work as the mermaids! They would spend the first few months getting used to everything as smaller Akusuka artists, and work their way up quickly to charters! From here it would be relatively the same as canon NSR for the most part except with 5 mermaids instead of just one of them (I'll think of fight mechanics later because I have to think of how the mermaids would be different now).
Oh! Right! I was gonna talk a tiny bit about Nueva York!
See, the whole thing with this AU hinges on the idea that the arachnikids do not get put into Nueva York really early. Pretty sure I said that Hobie was one of the longer instituted residents at 3 years at the time of the Power revolution.
So that would mean that... uh, pretty sure his one year mark at being at Nueva York that is when the Rock Revolution happened. And I see OG Sayu as having worked at NSR for like... 3 years I think it was?
That means 3 years of mermaid development, 2-3 years of NSR work, and then like 2 years of a timeskip before the Power Revolution (close to 3 kinda? sometimes, idk, still working on that for the OG NSpiR AU honestly lol).
At that time of the Power Revolution, Miles is about 14-15........ That would mean the mermaids were first developed when Miles was 6-7 years old by this logic... It would also mean that Remi was about 7-8 years old when he and Tila started the project....
Okay, so that doesn't work. At all. Specifically because I think that means Peni would have been 4 at the start of the project (and like 6 when kit joined the project). Which obviously doesn't work as joining a project like that is different from like being a prodigy and joining an organization with the help of your parents (looking at you Yinu).
I think I can fix this though. Maybe? I think if I just move the timeline over a bit, so that the mermaid team was brought on when they were older instead of younger (Also I think I'm gonna stick to the 2 years of work instead of 3 years because it messes things up later on I think). So like, instead of Remi being 14 and Miles being 13 at the time of the ROCK revolution (because 3 years of development and 2 years of work), instead I could change the order of the bosses and ages a bit because of timeline reasons.
So for me, I like the idea that the bosses in reverse order is how they got to NSR. That means that instead of Sayu being brought on before DJSS, instead DJSS was brought on BEFORE the team.... Wait no, because Nova had to have been fired from his professor job to get to NSR in the first place.
Okay! New plan! Nova get put in at the same time he originally was, BUT the mermaid team waited until they were super ready for NSR. Meaning that in this AU, there was an entirely different charter for Akusuka that would later be replaced by the team as they traveled up the ranks once they were actually brought on.
So, here's the idea I have. 5 years is the total time it takes from mermaid development until the Rock Revolution (I'm just ignoring the timeskip because I just needed it for ages at the moment and I'll be using 2 years of NSR work, not 3).
[This also means that the Revolution technically takes place later because I am moving the timeline up a little. Maybe something happened and B2J didn't get an audition for an extra year or two].
-At the beginning of development it is just Remi and Tila
-Quickly Pav and Gaya join
-Before the half year or 3/4 year mark Sofa and Dodo join
-At about the 1 year mark is when Gwen and Miles join
-1.5-2 year mark is when Margo joins (they start getting serious)
-At 2 or a bit after Peni joins along with Ganke quickly after
-Then a year of final development before joining NSR
-2 years of work and then it's revolution time!
I put this up here to kinda help me with ages. Since Peni is the youngest I am gonna work with her to help me figure out the ages. Peni is 14 when the timeskip happens, so that means she is 12 when the Rock Revolution happens, 10 when she joined NSR, and 9 when she joined the mermaid project.
I can see that as something happening, especially if Peni's parents are pretty lenient which I can see them as that (especially with someone like Yinu who is working at 9 in OG version lol, meaning she joined NSR even younger). So by the time of the revolution the approximate ages would be:
-Peni (14), Gwen (15), Miles (15), Ganke (15), Pav (15), Gaya (15), Remi (17), Margo (17), Tila (18), Sofa (18), and Dodo (19).
Because of these ages, I think this means that this AUs Rock Revolution happens 3 years after the OG Rock Revolution would happen. That is because Remi is 17 and I have him in my notes as 14 (I used to have him at 15 but for some reason I had to keep checking my notes because I kept saying 14 in my head, so I just changed it to 14 a bit ago since that is what my brain thought was better. So the rest of the Crew got bumped down at that time as well by one year).
Anyway, this means the ages of the other characters also ended up getting changed:
-Mayday (24), Zuke (30), DJSS (44), Yinu (12 going on 13), Mama (43), Neon J (60), 1010 (28), Eve (30), Tatiana (51), Kliff (48), and DK West (34).
Don't know what happened in that 3 year time span that made B2J not start a revolution, but something had happened to delay them.
Oh my fuck... I just realized I went on that whole rant of ages because I was supposed to talk about Nueva York but I went into NSR ages instead! Okay! Nueva York time!
The whole reason I was going to talk about ages was because at this point in the OG NSpidR AU, something would have happened to each of the Arachnikids during the mermaids development time that would have sent them away to Nueva York.
However! Because they had the mermaid project to occupy them and help them find creative solutions with their powers, they never had that outburst moment that got them sent to Nueva York. They learned how to use their powers through positive affirmation and community instead of through fear and repression.
The sucky thing about this is that some people get stuck in Nueva York. Hobie, Noir, Porker are all there without the help of Miles (or the rest of the Arachnikids) so there is very little chance that a Power Revolution will end up happening.
Well, actually, I guess since NSR doesn't get attacked as soon, Ex-Jay would actually have more time to look for Hobie since they aren't being contacted by NSR for at least another 3 years (so I think that would mean Hobie has been in Nueva York for 4-5 years at this point which would be enough for Ex-Jay to just try and get Hobie out themselves since it was put in there very unfairly).
Honestly, it would be cool in this AU that the revolutions were reversed! Like the Power Revolution happened since there was less resources put into Nueva York (since the Rock Revolution couldn't have been used as propaganda) and so that had elements of rock to it thanks to Hobie and Ex-Jay which would be a small inspiration for B2J once they got rejected by NSR during their auditions.
There was an abuse of power in Nueva York, and now there is an abuse in power in NSR. Which would actually tie in nicely with George and Gwen's story plot as this could be propaganda that helps push B2J to take down NSR. Especially if it came out that Eve helped Gwen get away from her father using her power and privilege, it would keep George around after the mermaid fight enough push B2J to get to Eve and then Tatiana (where Kliff's intentions become fully known to the group).
So yeah! I know I said I didn't have much to say, but uh... Well I lied lol! I apparently had a lot to say about this haha! Hope you liked reading my ramblings! :3
