"You're queer and you support Palestine? Well Hamas is homophobic and the vast majority of Palestinians support Hamas so-"
Putting aside that you have no way of knowing what most Palestinian people think, AND THAT YOUR BOMBS ARE KILLING QUEER PALESTINIANS TOO - and also putting aside the very white tendency to group others when I'm sure in your own country many people are also homophobic - why do you think that matters?
This is a very different situation from countries that are not under an oppressive apartheid regime by illegal settlers like Saudi Arabia, the west's genocidal best friend. The Palestinians are fighting for their lives???
Like I'm sorry but in the very real reality of being bombed daily, I don't think people are backing resistance fighters on their party policies?? I think if there's a guy shooting back at the people who killed my father and mother, then of course I support that guy??
Like think about the luxury you're living in where you think that there're options besides stay alive
Pre-2015 gay marriage was not recognised as a right in the USA, so was the vast majority of people homophobic and therefore undeserving of freedom of movement or even the right to life??
My country (in Africa!) had legalised same-sex marriage ten years before you did so by your own logic I have the moral high ground to tell you to shut the fuck up

It's with a heavy but hopeful heart that I watch Palestinian families fundraise on here, slowly accumulating the precious little money to go around that they need to survive. However, not everyone is so lucky. A lot of Palestinians that have not had that kind of luck, that did not get early verification, that did not get massive platforms behind them from large bloggers, have approached me in my inbox, asking me kindly to do what I can for them.
It kills me that I have so little to give myself, but I've seen this platform collectively raise enough to change someone's life. I've made a list of Palestinian fundraisers that are extremely low on funds, in the hope that drawing attention to people who have not been lucky at all can help turn that luck around.
I know most of us can't possibly give enough to get all of these families safe in one go. But please, reblog this list. Pick one or two fundraisers, give what you can, and then keep track of it. Slowly, collectively, we can make a difference in these people's lives.
Share and donate as much as you can.

this year while we all celebrate pride month and celebrate ourselves as well as those who came before us and paved the way for us to do so, we must also think of those in gaza, queer or not, who live every day under a brutal occupation and don’t have that same privilege. happy pride, and may we see a free palestine in this lifetime.

reminder that donating just a few $ to gofundme campaigns actually helps, you don't have to donate huge amounts if you don't have the funds, every little bit is useful. give $10, $5, even $1. it all adds up. don't scroll past because you think you can't help. help in your own capacity. donate a dollar. share and speak up.

I hope western leftists know that standing for a free Palestine is not the end of decolonization. I've seen far too many white leftists who proudly stand for freeing Palestine which is good but then get nervous and apprehensive at the idea of decolonizing the very land they are on. Norway will recognize Palestine but actively tear down Sámi liberation. Liberation for one people means it for us all. If you support Palestinian liberation but deny it for the Indigenous people of the land you're on then you didn't stand for Palestinians or any of us to begin with.
