You know those old AUs where Dabi/Touya trained at the HPSC?
That, but with Natsuo.
Losing both his brother and mother leads Natsuo to have a mental break, resulting in a stress mutation of his quirk. Makes it stronger; currently thinking his ice becomes unmeltable, and certain parts of his body turn completely into ice, such as his arms and jaw. He can regrow the ice and change its formation on his body. The HPSC already had an interest in Endeavor's children, but only after this incident are they able to get their hands on one of them.
He's not the same as Hawks; the commission doesn't own him, it's more of a "boarding school" type thing, and after he becomes a Hero, he's only so on paper. He doesn't have an agency, doesn't patrol, is mostly unknown. He doesn't assassinate people like Lady Nagant and Hawks, they keep his business mostly legal. He's just,,, a hero working specifically and directly for the Commission, called in on certain raids or jobs as the HPSC sees fit.
Outside of that though, he tries to have a normal life. Moves out at 18, attends college, keeps his civilian and hero identities separate. He doesn't have many connections in the hero world; everyone knows he's a Commission plant.
Anyway. Just something i'm thinking really hard of rn. Will probably do some art later

so I was looking up the tenets for lolth’s paladins and I found this little list. not sure how canon exactly this is but I thought it was interesting -
kind of laughing that shri’iia does the exact opposite in act 1 which leads to her oath breaking. she girlflopped so badly lolth decides to drop her ass then prob hunt her ass down for being an embarrassment and a failure. like girly was not exerting her power at all - it’s her first time in the surface ever and she’s surrounded by people who could literally kill her any given moment (considering all the stories she heard abt how surface dwellers hates drow) not to mention that the tieflings you encounter when you see lae’zel were ready to attack you that just fueled her paranoia. > she was not sowing discord at all she was laying low and keeping her mouth shut …!! she has no allies here! and she doesn’t know where she is! and there’s an illithid tadpole in her head! it would be foolish of her to paint herself as an enemy when she’s already so out of her environment so she keeps her mouth shut … thoughts to herself … bides her time and sees who’s useful to her and who’s not … she can always get rid of the ones that she doesn’t need later but for now she’s seeing what she can work with first …… > have a plan… shri’iia had no plans…. at all. she was following lae’zel around because the crèche was her only lead … but then they mentioned a druid named halsin who’s a very good healer so she turned her objective to that … then a goblin mentions their priestess is a healer too so guess she’s looking for her as well… honestly who thought making the drow who’s never been to the surface and literally does not know where she is or what she's doing the leader of the group a good idea….. in my hc the leader is gale

Part of the fandom: Grace kissed Matthew without his consent. She's a unredeemable monster.
Well, Matthew gave his mom an abortive potion without her consent (maybe he thought it was a truthspell potion, but he still gave it to her without her consent) and killed his soon to be baby sister, so...?

Sad Idea (tw: infertility mention)
Okay but what if when Orion got reformatted into Optimus, the Matrix gave him The Ideal Body To Go To War With? Like, it cut out unnecessary parts of his past self-- not just emotionally, but physically as well...
What I'm trying to get at: what if one day, the topic of sparklings come up. Maybe the humans they've been hanging around asked about the various ways a new Cybertronian comes to exist. Maybe the war is over, and someone innocently asks Optimus if he has ever considered being a creator.
Optimus might politely wave off the idea, citing he's too busy as Prime to give the care and attention deserved by a sparkling. But in private... or maybe even to just his amica/ a close friend or two... he admits that he did once want to be a creator, however, that's no longer in the cards for him...
... because the Matrix didn't deem a gestation chamber a necessary asset for a Prime at war.

I loved your tags in the post about Joel and Ellie and saving the world! I think you're very right. It's not about the love for a child, but in general a love for a person. For a brother. For a husband. You name it. I would do the same for my wife because there is nothing more important than her, regardless of whether or not the cure would have worked. Do you think you would do the same for the people you love?
I, like Joel, am not a hero. I’m a person who largely only gets by BECAUSE I have people I love, who love me, to keep the world from feeling utterly bleak. So, uh. If it came down to the world or my wife? The world or my younger sibling? Yeah. I get his choice.

It's definitely just me but for some reason the recent chapter's first coloured page gave me the same mood as the coloured page of Vol. 20 (the only one I've read asides from Vol. 1)
I mean....the decision making, the way he's torn between what to do, his insecurity about fighting by himself or choosing what to do...and also the Big Revelation he's just witnessed that he has to deal with by himself....
And he looks SO tortured in both panels? The boy man has been so conditioned into listening to others that the thought of standing by himself paralyses him...please give him a hug.
