Mostly to make something very clear to people who aren’t on proship Twitter or TikTok. Or like, certain radqueer communities (not all of them, just specific ones). Not that I’m engaging in any sort of call out, or informing anyone over any situation directly. Honestly, I just want to make people aware that certain things are not ok just because you drew a picture or write a fanfic.

It’s not “just fiction” if you actively want to sexually abuse someone. It’s not “just fiction” if you draw a depiction of a real life child and talk about how much you want to sexually abuse them. It’s not “just fiction” when what you’ve drawn or written is created as a form of harassment directed towards another individual or a group of people.

If you’re going to be profic or use an adjacent label, that does not make it acceptable to sexualize REAL children or harass people because they don’t agree with your self-proclaimed “right” to sexualize a REAL child. And it’s certainly unacceptable to sexualize someone’s young family member simply because you have some personal beef with them.

The moment real people are involved, it’s no longer just fiction. You can draw and write about fictional scenarios, yes. But when you involve real people (not specifically talking about celebrities and other similarly high standing figures, just internet randos) it becomes more than fiction. This is where harassment in the proship community (by proshipers) becomes the most prevalent from what I’ve seen at least.

Also, if you preach about how x-real-person or x-real-group needs to be raped, and then go on to draw those depictions, and it’s not a joke, I’m sorry but that’s more than a little concerning imo. I understand people who draw and write to cope with their intrusive thoughts or paraphilias, but when you preach about how your sexual desires that surround the concept of abusing others then you go on to draw depictions of said desires, people have every right to be concerned. Abuse should not be normalized for someone’s selfish desires. And the big three certainly should not be normalized (in practice, people with big three paras can vibe as long as it’s not acted upon irl).

Artistic expression, no matter what kind or what the driving force behind the creation of said art, is fundamentally morally good. Don’t get me wrong. However, people have every right to be upset when your driving force for creating said art is because your opinions are in favor of acting immorally in the real world. People have every right to be fearful of what someone may do when they want to hurt people and creating art that depicts it (and it’s not a way to cope). Art is just fiction, it can’t hurt you. You can enjoy it or be discussed by it. In the end, it’s not real. But the persons intent with creating that art can hurt you. It can be in the form of propaganda, it can be in the form of direct harassment. As much as I am profic, there are certain kinds of fiction that are created by certain kinds of people that are a tell for what that kind of person is capable of behind the screen. The art itself is never the red flag. It’s what the creator of said art believes in that becomes a red flag. It’s when that creator wants and plans on abusing people, and in some cases then may already have.

Sorry for my ramblings that make me sound like a mad man, but I’ve seen some horrible things said by horrible people in this past week that hasn’t set right with me. I don’t want anyone to fall down the wrong hole of the internet and not realize what they might be getting into (certain pipelines that lead to “irl child sexual abuse is fine actually”), and I want people to realize that some forms of art (the kind that depicts real people to harass someone) doesn’t mean you are immune to criticism. This could have been two separate posts, but I didn’t feel like writing two posts lol

I will be honest, I kind of approach all instances of Peter subbing as involving inevitable sub drop. He just doesn't deal well with submission, after-the-fact, even when it's cathartic for him.

Harness and collar concepts ahoy:

Peter's day collar. It's heavily based off of this collar (sfw link btw it's just petco LOL) by Le Dog Company, but I wanted to make it more padded under the buckle. I do like that the strap just says "Le dog" though like. Yeah. And you can see his little name tags and stuff.

probably the inside is like a nice caramel color, rather than black or anything, but i didn't color that part.

and I decided that they'll never go beyond "training" or other non-ownership collars. i don't think he'd be okay with extending even pretend ownership outside of actively having sex tbh. they're extremely not following "old guard traditions" here. peter owns himself and all of his gear, no exceptions

concept for harness to match, courtesy of Felicia, and just. photos of one of the leashes. i didn't feel like drawing it. not pictured: 9 footer (another petco link lol) — I think I like the way the 4 foot leash looks better, esp since it matches the collar better imo, but I figured. maybe sometimes they would want a 9 foot leash. I mean. Is Harry taking Peter on walks, No, but, you know, could be useful.

Harness is the same color as the collar, I just made it lighter in this pic so you can see the actual details. It's loosely based on some leather harness I saw but slightly different.

this one is obviously stealing I mean taking heavy inspo from the irl dog harness but also from some other stuff, like safety vests and what have you. And I decided I wanted it to have nylon straps with a cinch instead of a normal buckle because............ conceptually, I find that sexy, for some reason LOL idk it's the physicality or something. the combo of industrial hardware with girly aesthetics. just really strapping him into this thing.

also yeah i designed this one to not be easily removed (or put on) by the wearer themself, also for horny reasons. requires a helper to put on and take off, though Peter is probably flexible enough he could take it off by himself if he needed to get out in a pinch.

........does this qualify as sissification? probably. who can say,

anyway the collar is based on those thousand different kinds of customizable rhinestone collars where you can get your pet's name, or "cum slut" or whatever, spelled out in bejeweled charms. but made with like, slightly higher quality materials. like suede, heavy duty hardware, cubic zirconia or something, etc... I came VERY close to putting something vulgar but settled on just Peter's name and the hearts instead.

swarovski crystal... i wanted a D-ring on both the front and the back (for versatility) and it happened to also be a useful place to hang a cute little charm.

And now for something on the complete opposite end of the aesthetic spectrum, and probably more Felicia's style than anything else in this post.

Anyway, the other bonus from Fel (or possibly just Peter and Harry buying it). Sometimes Peter is naughty... or, you know, combining his top and dom instincts with submission and bdsm—a bad dog who bites. muzzle optional. tbh idk how hardcore Harry is but Peter likes this stuff (in my mind) so I figure it would make sense. More BDSM looking than doggy at this point but, you know, the spiked collar and a very short (like a foot or two at most) chain leash. plus muzzles.

went for two different muzzles—the medical padded style that is on its own pretty intense, with a little snap so it can attach to the O-ring on the front of the collar instead of having its own attached collar (see, O-ring not just aesthetic lol) and the other one is a more dog-like muzzle, with the metal basket. Both would probably be custom, esp if they're from Felicia, though i guess with the right needle and stuff Peter could probably modify a stock padded muzzle on his own... so maybe only the metal one is custom. who knows.

Obv the leather padded one is way more of a muzzle that makes it so you can't speak easily, or bite or eat or anything else, plus it has its own D-ring for extra bondage lol— vs the basket muzzle which is mostly aesthetic and to prevent biting. lol.

there are 500 harnesses that look almost exactly like this on etsy. can't beat the classics i guess. didn't bother drawing seams but this is definitely reinforced, though none of it's padded except where it needs to be for durability.

butt. all of the harnesses like this i saw also have that kind of rubber handle on the back. it's not like Harry can really tug Peter around that much even if Peter didn't have super strength, but, i have to include nice handles on all of these for the aesthetic/sex appeal. it's about the implication.

my real motivation for making this one unpadded (aside from, I guess, being less gentle) was cause I wanted all the spike rivets and other hardware to be skin-contact. aka: put the collar in the fridge for some temperature play LOL 🥶❄️ obv it would warm up fast but, appealing mental image,

i also thought it would be fun if it had some warning patches they could put on it, so I sketched a couple of those. I think Peter could make or modify something like this very easily lol. these could probably be put on the other harnesses too. or like on the shoulder straps. full kit w/ muzzle + spiked collar + harness + chain leash + caution patches is definitely... a thought...

Like obviously 1910 has wwi and the revolution and then the civil war so 1910 & 1920's I've had clear pictures for basically since I realised I wanted to move the Baudelaire's to Ireland and explore Irish history.

Hey hey! Excuse me if I'm bothering but I'd like to ask something! 🙇🏾‍♀️

Your readings are so good and are so well to put together! So if you don't mind me asking how exactly do you learn tarot to get so good at it? And how do you make your readings flow so nicely? I always do it card by card so it seems as though the subject sharply changes. Overall I'd love to know your process of doing readings! :)

heyy @herladysrealm you're not bothering me, don't worry😊✨ thank you so much for the compliments! I will try to answer your questions as good as I can. (Sorry for how lengthy it got 😅)

Regarding what I did to get 'so good' at it, I just started doing readings for myself and for some irl friends first, then I randomly started with personal requests here on tumblr 2021/2022... and doing pac readings was also a very spontaneous decision! I just felt like there was not that much tarot content on reality shifting when I started my shifting journey, that's why I decided to do it myself lol. To be honest, with tarot readings you'll always feel like you don't really know what you do.😂 Even now, after having done so many readings and after receiving so much positive feedback, I still always feel like that! So, just go for it. Be brave, be confident and start posting! I personally did listen to some subliminals, so you could try that too if you want. And I also watched a lot of tarot videos on YouTube before buying my first deck! I really liked how they interpreted the cards and I learned a lot from it too! Everything else is just practice I guess.

Regarding how I do my readings... I want to mention first that I have my own space where I have all my tarot/oracle stuff and I only do readings there and nowhere else! I keep that space always clean, I air the room often, I also have some plants there and all my crystals and candles, so that there is always a constant pleasant atmosphere! It is pretty important for me because I can always easily get in the right headspace when I'm there.

When I plan on doing a PAC reading, the process usually looks like this: I usually look for pictures on pinterest first and then create the layout in my tumblr drafts on my phone. Once I have done that, I sit down in the space I told you about, I prepare my stuff: I get my laptop, put on some playlist, open web-tumblr and google docs, I put on a candle and do a very short meditation where I ground myself and set my intention to do a reading now and where I ask to receive clear guidance, answers and messages for my reading. As I usually have a topic by then, I think about which deck to use and about how to approach this topic (- sometimes I make a plan beforehand, other times I just start intuitively!) and then I get my everything ready. Regarding how I get my cards, I do both - I take the cards that fall out while shuffling and I also draw the cards myself. I do have some other little habits like knocking on my deck before shuffling and stuff like that but I leave those out here. I usually get all the cards I need and then I analyze the situation. I don't like having too many cards so I always try to keep it minimal -> I have a few tarot cards for the main message and then I just add oracle cards or my self made messages if I want to have more clarification. I do look up the meanings of some cards at times because I like to have all the possible perspectives in mind and then I just start writing on my laptop (in google docs)! I usually just get in the flow of writing and things pop up in my mind - so it all just happens somehow.😅 Also, I usually don't do all piles at once because they tend to get so long. So, I sometimes do the other pile a few days later - it really depends on my mood... Or sometimes I get the cards for a pile, do an overview of things (with keywords) for what I get and then I do the writing of that pile a few days later but those piles usually get a lot longer unfortunately. After finishing writing everything down, I proofread my piles, edit them perhaps a little so that they look more structured and then I copy paste them into web-tumblr! Towards the end, I put all the cards back, shuffle the decks , knock on them, (imagine/visualize them being cleansed,) clean my space/table up, put off the candle and do a short meditation again where I express my gratitude and state that I release all the energy from the reading (we don't want any lingering energies💀) and that I claim my own energy back to ground myself again.

Regarding writing style, I just picked up a few habits from my time in university I guess! (Ex. having one main topic per paragraph, having more lengthy paragraphs than shorter ones, using conjunction and stuff like that but I think those are just those main rules for academic writing). Mairon, hands down. Anything I have a very clear image in my head of is awful to draw because it never ends up being what I have in mind. Mairon just takes the cake because I've tried and failed to draw him so many times. Even the one portrait of him I've posted in @almaren is something I had never imagined before I sat down to draw it and it has nothing to do with how I actually picture him in my head.

Whenever I tell someone irl that I draw, there's a 70% chance they'll reply with "oh so does my daughter/cousin/friend/neighbor/dog/whatever" and if I show these people something, they'll compare my art to whoever's they have in mind.

Once a client sent me a 2 minute long audio comparing my portfolio to her 10 year old daughter's school drawings.

But you know what? I’ll give you the benefit of the doubt. I read through your two posts “detailing” your process and found nothing of actual substance, but I’m still left curious. Your textures are so intriguing! What brushes do you use? (I understand that you employ a variety of programs, but surely you have certain brushes you use each time? Your style is very consistent.) You said that your approach changes depending on the picture and how you want it to look when finished, which is understandable. I’m a Witcher fan personally, so I’d love to know your specific process for creating that one! Some programs even make time-lapse videos automatically, like Procreate! If you don’t have one for the Witcher piece, I’d still be interested in seeing another! I’ve been trying to get more into digital painting myself recently, and I love watching people’s work come to life! Boy, this got under your skin, didn’t it? It’s very clear from your message that you have already made up your mind, and no benefit of the doubt has actually been extended. This isn’t an ask sent out of curiosity; you’re calling me out as a liar, and you seem certain I will have absolutely nothing to offer to prove otherwise. I’m afraid this response will be frustrating; and if you didn’t mean to come across in a condescending, belittling, passive-aggressive way, I apologize for the directness of some of my response.

You are not entitled to anything in relation to any content creator on this or any other platform, nor is anyone else.

I have always been very introverted and intensely private (online and irl), and those inclinations extend to my creative endeavors. It has never occurred to me to try to screen record or capture my process for any piece I have created in any medium. This is something I do with snippets of spare time as a way to wind down. It’s private, and relaxing, and just for me.

I’ve never had any intention of broadcasting how I draw, paint, gif, edit, or write. I’ve never made tutorials for any of those things. I don’t have records I can produce that will show each step I take and prove how I have done things in which programs. And I’m not obligated to do so. No artist is. Some artists choose to do that, and they are absolutely welcome to do so. I enjoy watching those demonstrations as well. That may be enjoyable and fulfilling for them to produce on top of the art they create, but I would find that time consuming and incredibly stressful. People on the Internet tend to be very comfortable blatantly criticizing complete strangers (the tone of your ask is a perfect example of that), so I prefer not open myself up to anyone and everyone nitpicking and critiquing every move I make and questioning my choices every step of the way. My creative endeavors are things I do just for me and occasionally I share the results here. I’ve always aimed for consistency. Producing things as close as possible to the original reference and making things look as realistic as possible has always been my goal (examples of that are here).

My previous posts concerning my painting process are brief. They were intended to be concise replies to questions that weren’t specific in the first place, and my replies were never meant to be actionable tutorials. If the pieces I’ve painted were actually just edits of screenshots, I would have said so because I do edit photos and post them here as well.

It’s fine that you don’t believe me. And short of producing a time-lapse video capturing me working on a piece, it seems like you won’t be convinced anyway, and that’s ok with me. That’s never going to happen; I’m one of those 80s kids who still prefers to write things down on a pad with a pen. And I’m not going to attempt to override my introverted nature just to hopefully show 1 faceless person they were a bit hasty.

Respectful behavior matters and often produces better results than a negative approach does. Busting through my door and demanding that I produce receipts that meet your criterion tanked the likelihood that I’d be forthcoming; a less abrasive approach would have inspired an entirely different reply. Be kind to those you encounter; you never know what battles they are already fighting or what pain they are working through. This is the kind of message that prompts people to turn off the anonymous function, and in the case of those who share their art or writing or creativity in any form, stop sharing their work altogether. Going forward, you can ask these kinds of questions without being rude. And if you want to have this kind of conversation with someone, be courageous enough not to hide behind anonymity.

I am ITCHING to make WSFIB fanart because i have this clear view of how I imagine tubbo and dream and i NEED to draw them, i've been a fan of WSFIB for a WHILE now, but I'm caught up on still working on my own dsmp au art for a fake-scene, I don't think i posted my WIP, so uh, just imagine it ig(Charlie and Purpled bonding we love to see it), i've also been cooking up ideas for Uncharted and maybe fanart and/or an AU of sorts? but idk, also my very limited time with the phone is a hassel for drawing, and even if i drew irl, i'd need the phone for a picture smh sadly.

sorry i just, do you have any idea how demoralizing it is, that i've been writing for decades and it's the only thing i can offer in terms of Creative Anything, Ever, and I had to reblog my shit 140 times to get one potential "i liked this!!" comment, and I felt so brave putting my stuff on AO3, and I was so burned out and didn't write for a couple years but started up again, and did all the same stuff I did before and i can't get as much as like, a comment or more than a single kudos, or any real feedback whatsoever,

and like, I don't want to sound so bitter. but i encouraged my sister to start writing her star wars self-insert stuff. and all she did was put it on AO3 and she got a bajillion people instantly fawning all over her story, loving her OC, drawing her fanart, begging her for updates, and it's like

what am i doing wrong??? was my writing really so fucking shitty and worthless that I couldn't get the attention of more than 2 people who would read my stuff out of pity I'm sure

like what's WRONG with me. i'd love feedback, or something, somewhere to talk to people about writing this stuff. a friend invited me to a server that's a couple friends of hers to do this exact thing, except nobody's posted anything for months

i cleared out ALL my writing from tumblr and wiped my AO3 and i had ONE person go "oh, i liked your stuff", except I never got any actual comments on my actual stuff in years!!! how can i believe anyone cared if no one ever said anything to me!!!!

i feel so fucking broken and beaten down and upset, writing is LITERALLY ALL I FUCKING HAVE. i cannot draw pretty pictures of my stories i'm fucking sorry! all i can do is write and my stuff either wasn't good enough to warrant being commented on, or people couldn't bother to read it.

i support "writing for just yourself" so much. that's what i've been doing for so long!!! but i was actively asking for feedback and for people to just PLEASE SAY ANYTHING, and even friends who have in theory been supportive of my writing can't do that!!!!! this makes me feel so petty and fucking awful but IT'S ALL I FUCKING HAVE. I CAN'T DO ANYTHING ELSE.

i've been in this HORRIFIC depression over this for WEEKS and i haven't had like a single word of sympathy or caring and it's just violently reinforcing that yeah, i was wasting mine and everyone's time and no one wants to read the things i'm writing.

when I was writing fallout stuff people really liked it! i would get regular comments and stuff! but the pokemon stuff is what i'm most passionate about and i just. i just wanted someone to read.

even an irl friend asked me, actively fucking asked me! for the link to my AO3 and I gave it to him and have not heard a single word. like why even ask. i am so fucking heartbroken.

i don't want to take this out on people. it's not people i'm mad at it's myself. i'm just convinced now that nothing i create is worthwhile and I was right to delete all of my writing (cleared a lot from my computer too) because the idea of someone missing it is a joke.

i have never felt this hopeless about the SINGLE THING I CAN DO in my entire life. i don't want to give it up entirely i have this pathetic little string of hope i'm holding onto and i don't want to let go. but just why fucking bother. because i will have NOTHING left if I don't have this. but why bother.

i feel like i've become nothing but a burden or, at most, an accessory to everyone in my life lately. i'm like everyone's third or fourth place consideration and i cannot tell you how worthless that makes me feel. i have to arm wrestle conversations out of people and i just don't have that kind of energy anymore.

I am the most consistent blogger. I will miss it because, like I said on my previous blog, that I will not type one blog until March. Why? For no real reason.

Anyways, I made so much social media accounts. I have been planning to for a long time and I want to just dump so much shit and random stuff on each one. I have been thinking about this for months and now is the time to do it. Let me tell you the specifics for each one.

For YouTube, I already said everything that I wanted to do there on my previous blog post.

For SoundCloud is self-explanatory. Dumping music I make there.

For Facebook, I will upload IRL pictures since I plan to go outside more. As comfortable as I am right now being holed up in my room 24/7, I acknowledge how unhealthy it is.

For Instagram, I will upload IRL pictures of my hobbies, cool weird objects, and maybe my skillz :3

For DeviantArt, I will upload random drawings. I suck horribly, but I do like doodling when I get to it. I also want to get better at drawing anime shit, but that is not my priority. So if you do not see any improvements, you know why lol

For LibraryThing, I will upload the books I have read as of making that account. Maybe if there are people interested, we can make a group there. Just to let you know, I am not an avid reader. I do not read 52 books every year. The most I have read in a year was 6. I am in a love and hate relationships with books, so if I do end up loving books, I will start logging them down there. If not, then I might ditch this website.

For Discord, nothing specific on there. I am not on any servers anyway so I am not active whatsoever here. It is just an another way of contacting me.

I recently started getting into games more. I am not a huge gamer anymore, and even now, I do not consistently play, but I do play anyway.

ROBLOX is pretty fun. I played it for like 25 minutes over two games a couple days ago. Natural Disaster Survival is pretty cool.

I played Valorant and it is okay. The game is kind of fun but my high ping makes me stay away from it sometimes.

I play Clash of Clans and my town hall level is 9. I am not that far into the game since I started like November of last year. I like to max everything out before moving on to the next town hall level so I am progressing slow.

Touhou bullet hell games obviously, but I am currently not an avid player of it. I also suck at it.

Brotato is pretty fun. I got one of the characters to the highest difficulty. I have not defeated it because I have not attempted it yet, but it is sick.

I do not know what to talk about now. It is so hot in my room, but when it turns night time, it gets unbearably chilly. I like bagels.

Oh I forgot to mention. One of my recent blog posts I mentioned my virtual wife and her name. I am a biological male and still a male even though I took Yamato out of Yamato Nadeshiko despite its meaning. Yamato is a guy's name and it does not mean I am a female. I just wanted to clear that up.

Now I have nothing to talk about.

I think irl and in canon ppl are baffled by what Bugs sees in Daffy, as if Daffy’s Mr. Wrong.

But…. It’s kinda switched once you think about it??

Yes, Daffy’s flaws tend to outshine his better qualities, but his friendliness and cheerfulness is overlooked. Like, he’s best friends with one of the most temperamental yet patient everyman there is! Daffy’s selfish, but he knows how to be part of a team. In both the meta and literal sense, he has the unparalleled ability to slips into various roles to accommodate a dynamic, and still be true to himself (Duck Twacy, Duck Dogers, Porky’s Husband friend or enemy, Danny Boy) His affectionate gestures are quite sincere compared to the rest of the tune cast. (and again, as a rule of thumb any sincerity is offset by a gag, so take that with a grain of salt) Bugs on the other hand, operates in a way that teamwork or camaraderie is out of the picture. Without trying, he dominates. He’s unreachable in ways that make it hard to be friendly with him, or engage in conversation without him (somehow) talking down to an audience. Have you noticed he has that air about him?? Even with his peers, he’s always on a pedestal. And Bugs has never been cast as anyone but himself… he’s inflexible.

Bugs can be at once, affectionate and manipulative. He’s very hard to read, and his few positive relationships make it unclear when he’s being honest or not. That’s not to say Bugs can’t be kind, generous or polite, I think compared to Daffy (and most tunes) he exhibits better etiquette. He’s more charming by design. Daffy, for better or worse, has no filter for his motivations or deeper emotions. He’s supposed to be relatable in that sense.

So what does Daffy see in Bugs?? Longtime WB producer and director Tony Cervone has stated multiple times that Bugs finds Daffy entertaining, his unpredictability fascinates him. (and further cements the insinuation that team ups have been initiated by Bugs, i.e, he pursues)

So, I think for Daffy, ironically, it’s complicated. It seems what draws him to Bugs, are also what he despises him for. Ok, the elephant in the room: Bugs models the qualities Daffy lacks. Stardom, adulation, effortless appeal, knowing what to say and when (tact is something Daffy desperately needs). It’s very easy to look up to Bugs, and as I said a couple posts ago, he once and (kinda??) still does. But, Daffy also has the hidden ability to being people to his level, and after spending enough time around Bugs I think he recognizes he’s not as untouchable as he (and his audience) makes himself out to be. Bugs is the type of person who masks imperfection well. Fortunately, Daffy’s drawn to mystery (in canon and in his roles in shorts), so I can see him quietly trying to investigate the parts of Bugs that never reaches public eyes, like a case study. So, is this a positive or negative draw?? it depends on Bugs’ attitude and Daffy’s mood. I guess it can be said that the fascination is mutual, Bugs is entertained by Daffy and Bugs gets under Daffy’s skin.

And of course, we CAN’T ignore the surface level of Bugs’ appeal to Daffy. Bugs’ generosity gives Daffy many opportunities to exercise his materialism and lavish lifestyle. He gets free dinners, Bugs covers all their vacations, and (a big plus for Daffy) he doesn’t mind relinquishing treasures and fortune when they come across it. Don’t call Daffy a gold digger don’t call Daffy a gold digger don’t

So yeah, I went off on a tangent but I hope I cleared up the misconception that Daffy’s Mr. Wrong, both of them—Bugs even more so— are the ‘odd’ choice.

This clear up doesn’t help paint their relationship in a healthy light. There’s ulterior motives and mutual selfishness, but I believe there’s never a fundamental misunderstanding of the other. If they were both more introspective, they’d find to their horror no one understands them the way they do each other. For two stars with excruciatingly large egos, that’s probably the best and worst quality of their weird relationship, ‘being known’, haha.

Wherever you stand on what fiction you think should be allowed (and please don't call fiction CSEM, that's a term reserved for material involving the exploitation - that's the E - of real children, applying it to fictional characters waters down the meaning and can lead to alarm fatigue like how accusing tumblr users of being pedophiles lost all meaning), all the best intentions will not stop people who do want to instate censorship like the Hays Code from taking a foot for every inch you cede. Once you concede that "censorship is good in some cases", they'll start pushing for more and more things to be counted under "in some cases".

To try and reduce this argument down to "Wow how dare you accuse me of wanting to ban queer content!" is to miss the point. At least address the actual argument - "I think people are exaggerating the risk of a slippery slope leading to conservative censorship" or "I think banning this type of content is more important than a 'what if' scenario that may or may not come up once we've banned it" or something

i was not calling fiction csem, i was directly referencing a post i saw, and the fact that tiffany g referenced CP explicitly. i know now that part wasnt clear but the post has already started spreading so i dont really know if theres a point in adding a disclaimer.

also, wrt fictional characters, the reason i stopped posting my stuff on ao3 is because i came across sexually explicit fanfics about irl minors, and when i emailed ao3 about it they said they draw no distinction between rpf and other fanfic and i should just blacklist and move on. there is also nothing in the ao3 TOS or guidelines limiting what images can be embedded in a fic, outside of what is illegal under new york law. so so someone could write a sexually explicit fic about an irl child, then embed a picture of that irl child next to graphic descriptions of them engaging in sex acts, and it would not be against TOS, as long as a copyright take down request wasnt submitted for the photograph. this is the primary reason why i take issue with ao3's mission of 'maximum inclusiveness', not because seeing fictional characters in certain situations squicks me out.

moving on, even if people were only accusing others of parroting rhetoric (they're not, i literally just now on my dash saw someone say tiffany g "tried to ban queer fic") that still holds no water if you actually break it down. the only similarities are in choice of language and the fact that the subject of children are involved. surprise, that happens sometimes! most people arguing for ao3 to change their policies are active in fandom, many of them have experience using ao3 and sites like it, many of them are queer, minors, abuse survivors, etc, they are in the same communities as you, and they disagree with you on how those communities should be conducted. that has nothing to do with conservatives wanting to retroactively erase lgbt people from public knowledge, or the hays code like you said. "children should be kept safe" or "content harming children shouldnt be allowed" are such broad statements that if you remove literally all other context, yeah, it sounds like people are saying the same thing.

see, i can do it too: when you (general you, not you specifically, anon asker) say minors shouldnt be allowed in certain fandom spaces, you are parroting conservative rhetoric that is used to argue against children being allowed at things like pride events and drag shows. fandom spaces are full of queer content, and you are denying minors access to that by making some spaces adult only. next thing you know minors wont be allowed to engage with queer fan content at all. (this is obviously completely made up and i dont agree with it, but this is the same kind of flimsy comparisons people are drawing)

and who is 'they' in this context? who is the 'they' that would push for more censorship if policies are changed? is ao3 run by conservatives who are only being kept at bay by everyone insisting the content policies shouldnt be changed? is there a huge population of conservatives in fandom spaces that somehow have more sway than everyone else and are just waiting to get their foot in the door? is there some kind of conservative governing body who have set their sites on ao3 (or even know what ao3 is) and are circling like vultures waiting to leap at the chance to turn the site into the next OAN? are the staff and volunteers at ao3 really so shit at their jobs that they would just let all of this happen?

you are making an incredibly flimsy comparison to a real world problem based on superficial similarities and then drawing the conclusion that, based on this incredibly flimsy comparison that you have convinced yourself is rock solid, the same consequences of that real world problem must also be a looming threat here, even though the context is entirely different, and the conditions for those consequences to actually happen simply are not there.
