you know those things where they personify the different facets of a character's personality into different people??? my take on that with (rrverse) apollo:

"sun" apollo: the arts, music and poetry. apollo's "facade" as it were. very dramatic, bombastic and performative, acts as if he were always on a stage. constantly distracting and entertaining himself with outside stimuli, zero introspection to be sought here!!. hopeless romantic. feels incredibly guilty when facing light!pollo so he just doesn't. on the rare few times his mask breaks he's just very tired and bitter. he looks like "modern" apollo, golden skin and hair, but his hair is also literally made of flames

"light" apollo: represents his truth and revelation aspects, directness and straightforwardness. is currently always surrounded in an inescapable lightless void. VERY intense and angry, not much to be happy about lately. fucking HATES sun!pollo, considers him to have ruined their lives and betrayed their morals and Self. would actually rather die than keep existing as is but can't. loves his siblings. can sometimes be heard chained screaming and crying in your ear. blinding to look at but looks like past apollo, with straight platinum hair. dresses in stark white

"knowledge" apollo: calm and rational. the mediator of the group, he's the one with the most empathy for the others of the bunch and is always quick to remind light and sun how their situation was influenced by outside factors and they're all doing the best they can. doesn't fall for logical fallacies, knows who the real enemy is. optimistic, sensible and uplifting. the most human looking of the bunch, has curly dark golden hair tied up in a bun and a real laurel branch wreath. is often holding scrolls

"prophecy" apollo: mysterious, mischievous and easygoing. nothing seems to surprise or faze him. always smiling like he knows something you don't or is laughing at you. whimsical, smug and amazingly confident. all around cheshire cat vibes. his smile turns gentle when the others are freaking out too much and he tells them he knows everything will turn out fine (if they ask his if he knows with his powers he tells them he just has faith ;)) just "immortal who's gone around the block and back" energy. has straight dirty blonde hair and vibrant green eyes. the most "primal" looking of the bunch, sometimes has antlers or a veil or extra eyes. always barefoot

Similar to Eternal Sugar's post (<- in which you can find a very small breakdown of her outfit design and a few headcanons) Below the cut is a few design details I made for Shmilk (BM) and Mysty (WPF) and a few more ideas for how this crossover AU will go!

The cut may not appear for others so I guess if you're one of them you can try to maybe scroll down really fast if you haven't yet played or watched a playthrough or summary of the game OMORI and don't wanna get spoiled of the game's horrors which for me, is one of its best parts! I would know cuz it took me a week to recover :D. 💯 percent would recommend if you just love to put yourself in undescribable emotional pain ^^💕.

But big chunky trigger warning for those who are sensitive to things like depictions of depression, anxiety, suicide, flashing lights and a bunch of other stuff!— it's pretty expected from a psychological horror game, but please don't be pressured to play or watch it!

Added Eternal Sugar's design thingy along since I wanted to change her weapon. Her U-shaped harp matched her angel form more, so I replaced it with the harp from her legendary costume! Suits her even better since both designs are more fairy like.

Anyways NOTES and HEADCANONS:

Really wanna lean in to the way how Sugar seems to slightly not belong with the rest like how Omori is with his monotone expression and colors. I mentioned before in her own design post how she's the only character in some sort of sleep ware, a few other differences I added here is that shes the only one based on her beast form and also the only one named after it, everyone else's design look more, and are named, like their virtues.

Each of them have fantasy-adventure-group-roles! Blueberry Milk being the wizard or mage and Pastry Flour being the healer. Not sure about everyone else's tho.

I really like the idea of Blueberry, being the "Basil" of this AU and giving everyone insects to represent them!! Mentioned how this has definitely been done before (Omoriposa AU by madnopost :D!) But it just suits so well especially since their beta designs are already based on insects so I'm kinda thinking of really adding it

And on the topic of being "Basil", I hc before that Bspice would be the sporty but actually artsy type— which would be a really fun characteristic to give to him but I feel like giving it to Shmilk instead. He would make doodles of their times together to parallel with the way Sunny remembered the truth through Basil's photographs

And speaking of hobbies, in the real world, Sugar loves to bake! Which is why everyone is named after some sort of ingredient (minus Elder Faerie?) and why her happyspace is almost filled to the brim with desserts and sweets. Keyword 'almost' as it seems that if things are not going so well eyes, teeth, and organs seem to be growing more apparent here and there (just like in Sugar's actual garden in game). Also her weapon irl is a cake slicer.

Other than that, Shmilk likes to read and with the new head canon, draw, and is one of those too-smart-kids-for-their-age, meanwhile Mystic loves to embroider and crochet in her free time! Hence why, other than Shmilk's insect assigning, in Sugar's imaginary happyspace she's portrayed as a spider.

Baphomet is one of the most complex and misunderstood figures in occult and esoteric history. Over centuries, it has evolved from a mysterious name whispered during the Crusades to a symbol deeply embedded in modern occultism, especially within Satanism, Thelema, and Left-Hand Path traditions.

History Of Baphomet

Origins in the Templar Trials (14th Century):

• The earliest known use of the name Baphomet was during the Inquisition of the Knights Templar in 1307.

• The Templars were accused of heresy and idolatry, including worship of an idol called "Baphomet". The exact nature of this idol remains unclear—some described it as a human head, a bearded man, or a demon.

• Most modern historians believe the name Baphomet may have been a corruption of Mahomet (an old form of Muhammad), reflecting the Crusaders' exposure to Islam.

19th Century Revival; Eliphas Lévi:

• In 1856, Éliphas Lévi, a French occultist, radically redefined Baphomet in his book Dogme et Rituel de la Haute Magie.

• Lévi depicted Baphomet as a winged hermaphroditic figure with the head of a goat, a torch between the horns, female breasts and androgynous features, one arm pointing up and one down, with the words Solve (dissolve) and Coagula (combine) on each forearm. This became the iconic image associated with Baphomet today and symbolized the unity of opposites: light and dark, male and female, human and beast, matter and spirit.

20th Century and Beyond (Satanism and the Occult):

• The Church of Satan, founded by Anton LaVey in 1966, adopted Baphomet as a symbol of Satanic philosophy—not as a literal being, but as a representation of rebellion, knowledge, and liberation from religious dogma.

• The Sigil of Baphomet—a goat’s head within an inverted pentagram surrounded by Hebrew letters spelling “Leviathan”—became the official insignia of the Church.

Symbolism Of Baphomet

Baphomet represents balance and integration of opposites. It is a philosophical and alchemical emblem rather than a deity to be worshipped.

Key Symbolic Elements:

• Goat Head- Instinct, primal nature, and untamed energy (possibly derived from the god Pan).

• Torch Between Horns- Divine illumination; the light of intellect and truth.

• Androgyny (Breasts and Caduceus Phallus)- Union of male and female, symbolizing wholeness.

• Wings and Hooves- Duality of spiritual ascent and earthly grounding.

• Arms Pointing Up and Down- The Hermetic axiom “As above, so below��, expressing the correspondence between planes.

• He took the name “Baphomet” as a magical name when he became head of the O.T.O. (Ordo Templi Orientis), aligning it with sexual magick and Gnostic symbolism.

In Satanism (LaVeyan, Theological, Etc.):

• Baphomet is used as a symbol of rational self-interest, rejection of traditional religious authority, and the embrace of carnal existence.

• The Sigil of Baphomet is used in rituals, meditations, and symbolic expressions of personal empowerment.

In Witchcraft and Modern Paganism:

Some non-theistic witches or Left-Hand Path practitioners view Baphomet as:

• An archetype of sacred balance

• A symbol of hidden knowledge

• A guardian of the threshold—facing and integrating one’s shadow

Magickal Uses Of Baphomet

Rituals and Practices:

• Invocation or Meditation- To balance opposing forces within oneself—gender, emotion and reason, higher and lower self.

• Shadow Work- Baphomet can be invoked as a symbol during introspective work, especially when dealing with repressed desires or fears.

The Nature Of Baphomet

Baphomet is not a devil, not a god, and not a literal being—it is a metaphysical symbol. Its purpose is to challenge, to enlighten, and to reveal the wholeness hidden in duality. Baphomet asks the seeker to transcend dogma, embrace the totality of existence, and find spiritual freedom through inner synthesis.

escapism vs reality in alien stage

in this post (elaborated greatly by geo's tags as well) i mentioned a big sua/till parallel i noticed (but didn't go into much detail because i didn't want to derail the post lol), and i wanted to go into more detail on that and the overall reality vs fantasy theme alnst has going.

sua & till both use their love for mizi as a form of escapism. sua's love for mizi and the weight of her knowledge of their universe causes her to create a safe (fake) bubble for her and mizi to exist in & makes it as perfect as it can be before they're out of time. till uses his love & admiration for mizi as a beacon of hope, as motivation to go on despite how horribly he's treated in day to day life. mizi is the brightness in both of their dull lives.

this view of mizi as a hopeful, optimistic sort-of deity sheds light onto an entire theme of alien stage, escapism vs reality. it also shows that mizi & ivan, in this specific instance, are antitheses of each other.

mizi, as a character, symbolizes hope and escapism. she is the only character out of the main four that didn't understand the exact conditions of their world due to how she was raised. she does not fully grasp how horrifying the alnst universe is until she watches sua die, which is the inciting incident for the entire series. escapism isn't possible anymore, but hope is still there when she gets rescued by hyuna and joins the rebellion.

ivan, on the other hand, literally symbolizes truth and the reality of their world. since he was born he understood the cruelty the segyein are capable of and knows exactly where he stands in the world. he is seen to be fatalistic and even nihilistic. his death, which he sees as an inevitability, is the second inciting incident (the one where everything goes to shit chaos afterward). it is a brutal reminder of the truth of alien stage to both the characters and the audience.

sua & till actively seek out mizi as solace in their pain, and they both actively avoid ivan (in their own ways) and the connections he has to reality.

sua avoids ivan because, well, he's mean to her, but mostly because he's not even trying to be mean, he's just objectively right and she doesn't want to hear it. he is a reminder not only of the cruel world they live in but her own 'twistedness'. he reminds her that she is not solely the fantasy she's created with mizi, but someone with unavoidable knowledge of the inevitable (as well as someone who is willfully keeping this information from an unknowing mizi).

till avoids confronting his feelings for ivan and confronting ivan in general because ivan confuses him. his feelings for ivan aren't cut and dry in the way his feelings for mizi are, because ivan is and always will be tied to pain and suffering for till (their first meeting in the auction shop, their miscommunication/strange relationship, the fact that ivan is the only one who sees him at his most vulnerable, etc). ivan's death forces him to confront these feelings (for ivan & about their world in general) but even then he's repressing them until he physically can't anymore.

mizi is escapism & hope, literally realized because she escapes. ivan is reality & a representation of the fate of alnst contestants, literally realized through his death.

it doesn't end there, though. sua & till are escapists running from reality (with diverging paths that are both narratively important in their own ways), while mizi represents escapism & ivan represents reality. along similar lines, but going a step further, hyuna & luka showcase these exact themes.

hyuna is the legitimate showcase of hope, of freedom. she is a free human (as free as you can get in the alnst universe) and the leader of a human rebellion focused on uprising as a race against the segyein.

luka is the perfect example of compliance within reality. he is now a two time alien stage champion and the definition of a pet, no matter how he actually feels.

hyuna & luka are similar to, but a step beyond, mizi & ivan. mizi symbolizes escapism, but she is faced with reality and must grapple it, while hyuna is freedom personified (albeit with demons of her own). ivan symbolizes reality, but he still yearns for something he thinks he'll never have, while luka completely shuts off those emotions because he knows they will only jeopardize his chances of survival.

the characters of alien stage perfectly embody one of the core themes of alien stage, the discrepancy between fantasy and truth, and the way those can coincide in a world.

Horizonstar/step(Yoda): 

Name Meaning:

"Horizon" carried the meaning of him being the leader of his clan, a beacon of light in the distance, "Step" meant he was always one step ahead of his clanmates, thus using his knowledge and power to help his cats.

Frostshard(Dooku): 

Name Meaning:

I chose "Frost" because of his cold, collected, haughty demeanor, and "Shard", his presence being able to hurt others, like when you touch a broken shard of glass. It also represents his sharpness.

Sagepelt(Qui-Gon-Jinn):

Name Meaning:

"Sage" symbolizes his wisdom of the living Force, spiritual sanctity, vice, and virtue, which some knights thought he was delusional, while others respected his high moral standards.

If you look at a sage plant, the leaves are fuzzy, and they often grow in large swishing bushels, hence the suffix "Pelt"

Hazeldusk(Obi-Wan-Kenobi):

Name Meaning:

I chose "Hazel" because of his pelt color and warm/comforting personality. "Dusk" has a deeper meaning; Hazel trains Skyfire, who turns to the dark side and brings Dawnclan's legacy to an end; therefore, Hazel teaches the one who brought the "Dusk" of Dawnclan's era.

Skyfire(Anakin Skywalker): 

Name Meaning:

I chose "Sky" because of his godlike abilities, for in many countries and religions, the sky was where the gods lived, "Fire" because of him being ferocious yet warm/loving like a small bit of flame in a hearth. It also foreshadows how he would fall, consumed into flames.

Tawnyrain(Ahsoka-Tano):

Name Meaning:

I chose "Tawny" because of her pelt color, and "Rain", symbolizes her abandoning the teachings of Dawnclan when she goes into exile, like the rain washing over dust and grime, the corruption of Dawnclan ways, coated over her innocence and pure heart.

It is hard to know the birth of Darkhaven, yet one thing is for sure, evil has lurked since no beginning nor end.

The official name of these dark warriors was created by Hellfire, a soulless she-cat whom many say was the embodiment of evil itself.

The Fate Wars, the first great war in the Galaxy, led to the victory of the knights of Dawnclan, who built their main camp on the ruins of Darkhaven.

After the events of the Fate Wars, two more happened during the history of the Galaxy: 

The first was the Cold War: in which former Darkhavener Corvidheart(Darth Revan) challenged the Emperor Vortexvoid(Emperor Vitalle) to reclaim balance on both sides.

The second was the Grey Wars: Darkhaven leader Stormcutter(Darth Malgus) brought the Dawnclan order to its knees and took over for a long time. This caused a rebellion act against the Darkhaven Empire by normal citizens, and as a result, the Republic was born - an invisible group that consisted of various clans and tribes to discuss peace and to help each other in crisis.

Many years passed after the Grey Wars, and one by one, the warriors of Darkhaven were hunted down by the knights of Dawnclan.

Nightshade(Darth Bane), the last known leader of Darkhaven, and the maker of the Rule of Two, swore revenge. They will always lurk in the shadows, waiting for the right moment to strike. 

Her apprentice Plagueshadow(Darth Plagueis) continued her work in silence, training the dreaded Lightningstrike(Darth Sidious), who would create the most feared and powerful Darkhavener of all time: Lord Deadsoul(Darth Vader)

<About Darkhaveners>

When a Dawnclan knight falls to the Dark side, their features grow haughty and sharp because of the Dark Forest water.

Only Darkhaveners have orange eyes.

They usually have red crystals on their foreheads but in rare circumstances, purple or black could be seen also.

They communicate with the Dark Forest, an everlasting place of the Dark side of the Force, with murky water and wizened trees.

They have the Rule of Two, only allowing a Master and an Apprentice to live.

About Kyberclaws:

They glow red hot at the tip when unsheathed at battle mode. But they can't use them for long, or the heat would kill them(Yoda/Horizonstar has a record of using them for a full thirty minutes)

They are functioned by the Kyber Crystals on their foreheads and could cut through anything except Beskar Wood( a tree known for its silvery wood and toughness, used by the Mandalorian cats)

A Dawnclan cat develops this ability once they are 6 moons old, as their bodies mature enough to withstand the claw tip's deadly heat.

About crystals on foreheads:

The Crystals are the main source of the Kyberclaw's power, and when forcefully taken, it would cripple the owner for eternity(like a bird without wings)

When a Dawnclan cat dies, the Crystals turn a dead-looking grey, devoid of all power.

About Droids in the Au:

They are animals that are neither living nor dead(such as rats, foxes, shrews, badgers...etc)

Their commander controls them with the Smoke Crystals(used like comlinks)

About Starships in the Au: 

They are huge birds of prey tamed by the cats.

Shravana: The Free Man

Freedom is a frequently overlooked and misunderstood facet of the Moon. When we first consider the Moon, we are quick to associate it with emotionality, softness, receptivity, and nurturing. It is imagined as a comforting light, offering beauty and quiet reassurance through its soft glow and gentle nourishment. Yet the Moon’s nature is far less anchored than this picture suggests. Beneath its surface gentleness, the Moon carries a persistent restlessness that few recognize.

The Moon is the fastest-moving graha, traversing the entire zodiac in just twenty-seven days. It moves from one bhava to the next in a ceaseless pilgrimage. It drinks from each place it visits, absorbing impressions, atmospheres, and memories, but it never allows itself to stick around for too long. The Moon moves like a wandering man through the villages of the world, staying only long enough to witness, listen, and learn, but never to the point of being settled by its experiences. No house, sign, or power can hold it down. It is the freedom of one who answers a deeper call, a rhythm older than any law of man. This rhythm mirrors the movement of consciousness itself that experiences and adapts, yet refuses to fossilize into any single shape. At a deeper level, the Moon's restlessness reveals the hidden principle that to be free is to refuse stagnation. It is to walk through the world open-eyed and soft-hearted yet unattached and unclaimed. Where others build walls around their experiences and turn them into fortresses of identity, the Moon passes through like water that will erode even the most sound structures in due time. In this way, the Moon carries within it the living essence of freedom, a sovereignty so complete that it does not need to resist bondage because it moves too swiftly and too fluidly to ever be caught.

Shravana is the nakshatra of hearing. It is about receiving impressions from distant places and invisible realms. Shravana’s symbol is the ear. It is open and completely receptive, yet it cannot cling to anything it takes in. It is ruled by Vishnu, the All-Pervader, who strides through the three worlds. Like Vishnu, the Moon does not belong to any one world. He is the wanderer between them. In the Vedas, Chandra is called jagat-chanchala, the one who is restless throughout the worlds, a being who moves because movement is their very law. Just as Vishnu steps through the worlds through various incarnations, never bound by any, the Moon reflects the freedom of one who is ever in transit, always receiving but never retaining. The Moon’s path mirrors Vishnu's ability to traverse space and time without ever being trapped by the forces of any one realm or attachment encountered along the way. In Shravana, we see that true freedom comes not from holding or possessing, but from being a vessel open to all things without clinging to any.

In Jyotisha, the Moon represents manas, the mind as a sense-organ. It is constantly in flux, gathering stimuli, responding, and flowing. A mind that tries to fix itself on any one thing for too long loses its lunar quality, and Shravana reveals this truth in full. A mind that drifts, listens, and allows impressions to pass through without building walls around them, remains alive and attuned to the rhythms of Vishnu’s movement through existence. Shravana is connected to the myth of the Vamana avatar, Vishnu’s form as the dwarf who claims the entire cosmos with three steps. The free man lives this myth, unassuming in stature but limitless in range—one step in the material world, one step in the astral, and the third upon the head of ego itself. Shravana teaches that true movement is not outward alone but inward, upward, downward, and through all dimensions. The free man can be likened to a silent carrier of knowledge. They have no home because they are at home in all things, and no attachments because they are bound to the Eternal Sound, which captures the movement of Vishnu and the pulsations of AUM (Ohm) through all worlds.

Vishnu’s avatars, particularly Krishna and Rama, embody the essence of the Free Man saliently. They walk through the world unattached to its powers or crowns. Their actions are personal to their internal sense of duty, not external obligation or social constructs. This is why they act from principle and choice, rather than being forced by circumstances. Vishnu, as the divine archetype of freedom, preserves what is good in the world without ever being owned by the systems meant to protect it. Krishna, for instance, plays the role of "kingmaker" in the Mahabharata. He supports, protects, and advises, yet he refuses to rule the kingdom of the Pandavas directly. He is not tied to any worldly throne because he aligns himself with a more universal law. Krishna's freedom is displayed most poignantly in his wordly departure following the Kurukshetra war. He witnesses the decay that victory brings: his own people, the Yadavas, descend into violence and self-destruction. And instead of fighting to hold the remnants of his world together, Krishna withdraws. Alone in the forest, he allows himself to be shot by a hunter, who mistakes his foot for that of a deer's. He does not resist. He does not cling to life, to empire, or even to legacy for his work was never about him. It was about fulfilling duty, and when that duty is done, he leaves quietly.

Rama’s departure mirrors this. After his reign, having restored dharma and order, he too understands that his work is complete. He walks into the Sarayu River and vanishes, returning to his divine form. There is no grasping, no desperate clinging to the kingdom or to life. Rama, like Krishna, served the world without being bound by it. Both avatars show the highest form of freedom though the ability to walk away from power, fame, and even life itself when their purpose has been fulfilled. The symbolism of the hunter who kills Krishna ties into this as well. The hunter, a seemingly insignificant figure compared to Krishna, represents the dispassionate inevitability of death, the interconnectedness and power of any ī idk visual action, an event that Krishna cannot avoid and so does not even try. He allows it to happen, knowing that his role in this world is finished. Death is not something to fear, but a natural part of the journey that even the greatest of beings must ultimately surrender to whilst being in the material realm. Krishna and Rama are the ultimate exemplars of the kind of freedom I am talking about because serve with full devotion, yet they remain unattached to any of it, whether that be their glorious kingdom, pleasures, their legacy, or the many connections they make throughout their lives. Their departures are not signaled by ceremony or clamor; they simply leave when their time is done. This is the heart of the Free Man. He is the one who serves a higher purpose, and when that purpose is fulfilled, moves on without clinging or fear.

Both Krishna and Rama exemplify the principles discussed earlier, but their actions provide specific, concrete examples of how they live without attachment to the external world, following an inner transcendent law.

This is why Shravana tends to be greatly misunderstood, even within the traditional texts. It does not belong anywhere. Instead, it echoes the secret tradition of the parivrajakas, the wandering mendicants and ascetics of Vedic culture, those who moved silently through the world without attachments, bearing knowledge that could not be rooted in any single place. The parivrajaka, meaning "one who wanders away," was a recognized figure in ancient Bharat. Unlike the householder or the king, the parivrajaka sought no fixed position. They drifted from village to village, from forest to shrine, living off alms, sometimes offering teachings, sometimes simply listening. They moved because the world itself moves. To stay in one place too long was to deny the truth of impermanence. Their wandering was an embodiment of the cosmic drift and the ceaseless journey of the atman through many births, deaths, and states of consciousness.

The very name Shravana, meaning "to hear," echoes the way these drifters lived. They heard teachings from sages, from the earth, from the wind through the trees, from the silent transmission of the stars. Unlike the structured orders of monks that would come later, these early wanderers moved according to hidden tides. They were not exiles, for they did not mourn the loss of home. They were not conquerors, for they sought no ground to claim. They were the human embodiment of the Moon’s dance across the sky. In this way, the Moon’s full mystery unfolds only when we understand that it was never meant to be an object. Chandra is not static. He is a flow, a flowing deity, a flowing mind, a flowing life. Each nakshatra captures one way of responding to this motion.

This is why Shravana has the power to hear the divine directly, without intermediary or ritual. It is not the loud proclamations of devotion that reach Vishnu. He is not easy to please in this way, unlike Shiva and Brahma. It is the silent, drifting heart that appeals to Vishnu. In Vedic culture, there were many forms of drifters beyond the parivrajakas. The sadhus, the avadhutas, the naga babas, all in their own ways embodied a rejection of fixed worldly roles. Even righteous kings would, at the end of their lives, undertake vanaprastha, the life of the forest wanderer. To drift was seen not as a failure but as a return to cosmic truth, to be free in the most powerful way. All things must eventually unbind themselves from the structures they have built. The Free Man, especially in the form of Shravana, thus holds one of the most potent initiations. It is the call to dissolve the false security of form and to walk the world unattached, listening without needing to hold, knowing without needing to speak.

Shravana carries a seed of immense volatility, though it hides it well. It seems peaceful on the surface, the quiet traveler who tries to be invisible. Yet this stillness conceals the darker reality of Capricorn, where Shravana’s energy finds its hold in the material world. Capricorn is feminine Saturn. It is the energy of endurance, the inner capacity to carry pain without complaint, and the ability to shelter a flame in the middle of a battlefield. Saturn in his feminine form weeps inwardly, folding wounds into himself as he allow them to harden into a shield. Capricorn is the burial ground of ambitions, the place where kings are dethroned and burned warriors sink into the river to be eaten by crocodiles. It is the battlefield stripped of its glory, the cold and bloody ground where corpses are left for the vultures. It is the grinding pressure that forces the soul to face the impermanence of all things without anesthesia. It is the place where light itself seems to vanish, swallowed by the weight of time and decay.

The Free Man archetype, especially as seen through Shravana, carries within it this burden. Their movement is not an easy one. It is a drifting through battle, ruins, loss, and the endless painful shedding of attachments. The one who is free is one who has accepted death many times and has watched the collapse of structures without rushing to rebuild them. The connection to dark yantras and the burial grounds where tantric rites are performed is one of the most important pieces to understanding the full picture of Capricorn and Shravana. It is not only about discipline or suffering, but about the silent mysteries that open when everything visible has fallen away. Shravana hears what others cannot because it has crossed through these gates of death and defeat. It does not pretend that things will endure forever. It does not cling to illusions of safety or immortality. It moves because it knows that to stay too long in any place, or any identity, is to rot alongside it. The battlefield belongs to Capricorn because Saturn is the lord of time, and time is the final conqueror. All are sacrificed to it in the end. Mars, the dark tantric and war general, finds glory and purpose on the battlefield and in the graveyards of unknown darkness.

Volatility arises because the Free Man cannot root into the simple, shallow comforts that others depend on. Stability is foreign to Shravana. Emotional security, domestic happiness, material wealth, even fame or spiritual achievement are seen as thin veils before the unstoppable reality of loss. When these things are thrust upon him, he often responds by withdrawing. He allows the bonds to loosen and dissolve. Sometimes this happens so invisibly that no one notices until long after they are gone. This capacity for disappearance is itself a form of protection. Shravana belongs to a deeper law. When the structures around it begin to settle, it knows instinctively to slip away. The Moon here does not announce his departure. He simply ceases to feed the connections he has formed and drifts into the night. The volatility is also protective because it prevents stagnation. It is a violent kind of mercy. When the Free Man feels the soul beginning to decay within a structure, they either break it or abandon it, and it is more merciful to abandon than to break. In this way, Shravana maintains its purity.

In the secret traditions, it was said that certain yogis, before death, would deliberately leave their bodies in burial grounds. They would sit silently in meditation among the bones and ashes, allowing their breath to slow and stop naturally. They became like stones or fallen leaves, returning to the earth without resistance. Shravana reflects this same final offering to move without clinging, to live without defense, to die without regret.

It was a quiet evening at the Oak Family estate, the last traces of the setting sun casting soft golden light across the lush gardens. Sunday stood amidst the swaying flowers, his eyes fixated on the delicate petals of a single Yellow Acacia resting in his gloved hand. He had chosen it with purpose—a secret love, one that had been carefully buried beneath his calm demeanor for as long as he could remember.

You approached, the evening breeze carrying the scent of blooming flowers, and paused when you saw him standing there, the weight of something unspoken between you two. His usual composed expression softened just enough to betray his inner turmoil.

“Have you ever noticed how fleeting beauty can be?” he asked, turning to you, his eyes shining with the weight of years and wisdom. “This flower,” he held out the Yellow Acacia, “represents a secret love... a love hidden away, like the one that resides in my heart.”

You took the flower from him, the petals so soft, almost fragile. "Why hide it, then?" you asked gently, your voice barely above a whisper.

Sunday’s smile was faint, a subtle reflection of both sorrow and peace. “Because sometimes the most precious things are the ones that can never be fully realized.” His gaze lingered on you for a moment, his presence calm yet heavy with the unsaid. “But for now, let this flower symbolize our shared optimism and happiness.”

The evening drifted on, the two of you standing together in silence, each savoring the moment that held a quiet promise, unspoken yet deeply felt.

Aventurine’s laugh echoed through the luxurious suite, a sound that, on the surface, seemed carefree, almost careless. But his eyes—those eyes—told a different story. You had witnessed the calm before the storm, the moments when his charismatic grin faltered, and the weight of his past caught up with him.

He slid a small flower across the table to you, a Yellow Acacia. Its soft petals were a contrast to the whirlwind of emotions in his heart. “You know, they say this represents secret love,” he remarked, his voice dripping with the playful confidence that defined him. “But to me, it’s more than that. It’s the optimism that life can sometimes be played... and won.”

His smirk lingered, but there was something vulnerable in the way his eyes danced with shadows. “Sometimes,” he said, his voice quieting, “the things we hide are the only things worth keeping. But I suppose,” he leaned closer, “perhaps I can let you in, just this once.”

His words were a dare, a challenge, but you could feel the flicker of something real, something that existed behind the games he played with everyone around him. Aventurine's charm and confidence hid the truth that his heart yearned for something more than the risks he was always willing to take.

With the Yellow Acacia in your hand, you sensed his struggle, his willingness to risk everything for something, or perhaps someone, he couldn't control. The flower was not just a symbol of secret love, but the optimism that maybe, just maybe, this gamble could be worth it.

Ratio stood by the vast library windows, the last light of the day casting a golden hue over his study, yet his mind seemed elsewhere. He was always so intensely focused on knowledge, on wisdom, that you sometimes wondered what truths he kept hidden from those who looked up to him.

This time, he held something different—a Yellow Acacia. It seemed to stand in stark contrast to his usual cerebral nature, with its gentle petals and quiet symbol of secret love.

"You know," he began, not turning to you immediately, "this flower... it carries a meaning that intrigues me." He turned to you then, his violet eyes piercing yet thoughtful. "A secret love," he murmured, a trace of uncertainty in his otherwise steadfast voice.

You raised an eyebrow, curious. “And what does that mean to someone like you, Dr. Ratio?”

He allowed himself a brief pause, considering the weight of your question. “Optimism, perhaps. A desire to believe in something that transcends the confines of intellect,” he said, stepping closer and offering you the flower. “Even I, despite my… dedication to logic, find myself occasionally captivated by the allure of the impossible.”

You took the flower from him, your fingers brushing his, and for the first time, you saw a flicker of vulnerability in his eyes. A rare emotion, one not often displayed by the brilliant, self-assured man who seemed to pride himself on his unshakable intellect.

“You believe in love?” you asked, the question hanging in the air.

Ratio’s lips curled slightly into a half-smile, his voice carrying a weight of reflection. “I believe in the pursuit of knowledge, but love…” He trailed off, as if the concept were both a mystery and a challenge. “Perhaps, in the right moment, even a mind like mine could understand its importance.”

You held the Yellow Acacia carefully, feeling its soft weight in your hand—a delicate reminder of the complexity behind Ratio’s brilliant, calculating exterior. Secret love, optimism, and enlightenment… all tied together in a single flower.

"Maybe," he added, his tone almost playful now, "it’s time to learn something beyond the pages of a book."

Nowhere, Black Sorrow and an interpretation of Ivan's love

Gonna talk a bit about Ivan's emotional state in Nowhere and how it… is mostly right there in Black Sorrow too, just in a slightly more matured manner. I've got some similarities and differences I wanna highlight!

(It'd be good to read my lil initial impressions on the release of Nowhere first, tho!)

Firstly, the key thing about interpreting the content of Nowhere is that it's a private song. Written for Ivan himself, composed with no outside input, never meant for public performance. Therefore, in it, we can trust that Ivan is expressing himself as freely as he can (through the lens of his stunted emotional development yet strong ability to look inward and rationalize, but still), which is a very rare occurrence, given that one of his biggest traits is being private and cagey. The song Nowhere is raw emotion for a change, an open display of his head and heart.

And it sounds like just that. We hear the result of Ivan trying a romantic, ballad-like love song, starting with that and presumably just scrapping it for the subsequent melodic, hopeless freestyle rap session about his loneliness, pain, sense of being fundamentally unlovable/unwanted, belief that his existence is devoid of value and his pessimism.

But the love he knows he feels for Till IS there, fantastically represented by the ballad-like part that stays in the background for the rest of Nowhere. And it's recognized for what it is. 

… which is a big deal in itself!! Ivan talks down on his capacity for love a lot and would later call it a "shallow emotion", but he's way too analytical and knows himself too well to be avoiding that love is what it is. He damn well knows he's in love. And this song, the earliest song in his musical timeline, is pretty much the only place he says it out loud. 

Followed, of course, by all those verses about his meaningless and inconsequential life, being overwhelmed yet persisting calmly/numbly, the light he can't look at and dreams/hopes that are unreachable from the beginning because everything (and himself) is stained. And yet, the recognition of his emotions stays running in the background; to be literal about it, his feeling of love stays present and sung no matter how deep he dives into his bleak outlook. Constant, steady, never drowned out. Two things that are truths to Ivan. It feels to me like precisely the two factors that govern his inner emotional life: the belief that he's not built for it and the knowledge that he loves, regardless.

And "this always happens to me" is the sentiment that results from all that, taking the spotlight as the general mood and baseline of Nowhere. 

His belief that that the boy he was in the slums - a human who didn't feel like he belonged anywhere, neither an equal existence in relation to the segyein nor feeling part of humanity, a type of existence that's stained and rejected - is the same person he is in Anakt Garden and the ame persona he will continue to be. Of course, that applies to his love too. Not gonna work out because that's just how it is for someone like him, another piece of the "this always happens to me", destined to be unwanted. 

(We've gotta remember that Nowhere was written at the time he was living in Anakt Garden [source: official post], the time where he developed his feelings for Till and tried to be close to him in ways that neither Till nor Ivan himself could understand properly - so, is it surprising at all that he'd continue to feel mismatched with other humans, stained, wrong and hopeless? My personal belief here is that what he experiences with Till echoes with what he experienced in the slums, all contributing to sustain his view and thoughts about himself as an individual. It's all the same. Again: this always happens to him.)

Now here's the thing: that defeatist attitude about loving Till is honestly the same one he carries over to Black Sorrow and is guided by throughout all of the main Alien Stage storyline.

Another thing that's very important to remember in regards to THAT is that Ivan never told Till how he felt in any type of way, he also didn't intend to show it or let it be known in way Till could interpret, understand and give an answer to [source: Vivimeng Q&A at the 2024 GAF event of which we only have attendee records]. He mostly fought, made up, played and spent time with Till. The most straightforward example of "acting upon his feelings" we could refer to is when he asked Till if he wanted to kiss [source: official comic], which was absolutely not framed as a confession of romantic inclinations, but just as "something some kids in Anakt are doing". It was neither expressed nor understood for its true human meaning. Ivan never says anything because he has simply assumed that he's unlovable, considers himself rejected by default (he's aware Till likes Mizi, but it's been made clear that this is mostly irrelevant to him, Till could love anybody or no one at all and he'd still have his pessimistic outlook because he considers himself the problem [source: GAF event Q&A again]) and leaves it at that. Around the segyein, he even goes out of his way to protect either Till, the privacy of his own feelings or the nature of love (as one of the few freedoms pet-humans have) by giving the impression that they're not that close and Till is not that important to him [source: Ivan interview from the Alien Stage Patreon, specifically these bits].

With that said, let's recall Black Sorrow.

It's inevitably different because it's not the raw and fully honest Ivan, but a song meant for performing, for an audience and for the competition. Still, it's his character introduction song and it's the one that tells us his viewpoint on Till. And in it, his definition of love is already, well, that it's "his black sorrow". A feeling surrounded by darkness, love for someone unreachable, the knowledge that it ends in a "cold spot stained with blood", not meant to work out for him in any way. Just as he thought at the time of Nowhere. 

Because that always happens to him. He thinks that way in Black Sorrow, he thought that way in Nowhere, he still thinks that way in Cure.

But there's one thing that's extremely different between Black Sorrow and Nowhere! And I think it's an important aspect of Ivan that the new song and the new opportunity for character analysis allow us to bring forward.

It's in this little moment, the prelude to the climax of Black Sorrow:

When the first point tally is coming, no matter when you pause the video, Ivan's points are gonna be the same as Marty's. Unlike in Blink Gone, with Luka shown to be leading and Till falling in second place, Ivan and Marty don't know how it's going. But they'll get their final count soon, so this is the point where things need to get real serious. And it's the point when – as he watches the set's falling stars – Ivan dives into his most painful but also very important memory with Till. Through which we reach the song's climax, his performance turns much more emotional and he ultimately crushes Marty's score by a great margin.

What I'm trying to say is: in Black Sorrow, Ivan is in a very similar place as he was in Nowhere, in regards to his emotions and his love. We can assume he's more accustomed to it. But most of all, he's purposefully tapping into his feelings (both his love and his pain), drawing strength from them to deliver a winning performance. It's like opening his chest up and reaching into his heart, yes, but it's also done in a very controlled manner, because as soon as he's able, Ivan composes himself. When he finishes performing, he's his usual calm self again. 

(Writing this I realize I'll need another post to dive deeper into Black Sorrow alone to cover some more points that are unique to the song, so I'll leave that for later.)

And that's the aspect of his character that I think is so important to highlight, the fact that he just… know himself so well. And how, despite viewing himself negatively in some ways, he also greatly accepts himself.

Nowhere is a very downbeat song, of course we're all face down in puddles of tears for Ivan, but him? I think it'd be… in a way, misjudging and underestimating him to settle on a very depressive or fully self-loathing view of him. Because he's pessimistic, but in a rational, "that's exactly how things are" kinda way. He looks down on what he considers his bad sides, but also keeps them close and doesn't hesitate to use all of his skills and traits. He's hurting, but he remains collected and undefeated by his various pains. He's emotionally vulnerable but also SO full of sentiment, determined, clever, capable of great acts of gentleness and dedicated as few will ever be. 

And, when it comes to his love for Till, his belief that it's doomed to be unrequited doesn't stop him from continuing to feel that way, continuing to look after Till, drawing strength from his love when needed and ultimately do what must be done to push for Till's victory in Cure.

Please remember that these are only my views and that for this piece I focused on interpreting Ivan's love in particular in the context of Nowhere tied to Black Sorrow, so other themes are not as covered (not because they're not important in Nowhere or his whole character, of course) and even most of the nature of that same love is also not covered. She was reported to have said to her friends & family “They’re going to kill me. They’re going to kill me in there. Don’t let them,”. As she used her fame and popularity to protest violence and racism which resulted in her being watched and harrassed by the US government.

“Anslinger gathered his resources together to target just one person instead—Billie Holiday. “It took at least three raids, two undercover agents, planted drug evidence, multiple arrests, associates who became paid informants, blocked access to lawyers and medical care, a prison sentence, the loss of her cabaret license (required to perform at the time), and two court cases for Anslinger to corner Holiday. Purva Bharadrapa is an ugra nakshatra represented by a sword & the front legs of a funeral cot. Linked to renunciation & sacrifice. It’s the truth telling nakshatra and extremely Karmic. It’s sharp cutting nature shines light on the evils done in the dark. In search of moksha (liberation) They face a journey of pain leading to enlightenment. (very shamanic or initiatory in nature) Embodying themes of spiritual war, destruction of illusions, and ultimate liberation. They understand life’s darker, more complex truths. PB natives can feel or be labeled outsiders, as they challenge societal norms and hypocrisy. They may have esoteric knowledge, deep intuition, psychological, & revolutionary ideas. With a strong connection to occult practices due to need to transform through suffering.

Unfortunately, these natives can face difficultly, misfortune & sorrow in their lives but their experiences makes them undergo intense transformation, forcing them to face illusion. This Nak is associated with law, politics, leaders & revolutionaries. Since it’s ruled by Vishvadevas (Universal Gods of Dharma and truth) Unlike other warrior naks that rely on aggression, such as Bharani & PB, UA uses strategy, patience, & endurance. This deadly combo of PB AK & UA Moon & ASC explains perfectly as to why she was a leading member contributing to the fight for the rights of black people. Martin Luther King Jr himself has Uttara Ashadha Sun Purva Bhadrapada Moon AMK & Bharani ASC.

Malcolm X had Krittika Sun, Ashwini Moon & Uttara Ashadha Jupiter AMK. (explains why his approach was more aggressive, urging black people to protect themselves, through physical means) Ashwini is a fast moving nakshatra, and Krittika respesents knives and cutting. The act of cutting down and removing obstacles. It is the warrior symbolizing destruction & purification.

Being in the sign of Aries, like Ashwini & Krittika, Bharani represents similar themes. Ruled by the god of death and justice & ugra (fierce) in nature like all venus naks. Angela Davis another famous Black Panther has Bharani ASC. These natives can seek justice & retribution by any means necessary, even bordering morally corrupt. Think L from Death note or Thanos

First things first, this is a different one compared to what I teased back around september (Wanted to try and finish up the main designs/polish up some of the lore before revealing it). It's nothing that big but I have a few concepts to polish up more back there shsfsjdbj

Putting that stuff aside, here's what I got for y'all today!!

Just as a small rundown as to what's going on here: all the ancients and beasts embody their assigned virtue, not being guided by their corresponding lights but instead being said lights and guiding the cookies of earthbread.

This is a role they were baked for by the Witches, whom initially planned to have one cookie per virtue; after some trial and error, they eventually settled on it being two instead, since otherwhise there was the risk of corruption and/or a balance loss in cookie society.

The initial virtue the witches worked on was Knowledge, with it's corresponding heralds being alongside the first to have been baked.

These two are known by cookie kind as the "Heralds of knowledge", respectively being the "Representative of Truth" and "Representative of Deceit"

Starting off with Deception, and thus Shadow Milk:

Being the "bad" half of Knowledge, his purpose consists into tricking cookies trough manipulating the seemingly endless supply of information he's given trough his core (aka. the souljam), often playing into half-truths and making even the most false facts seem true. He near-constantly bears a mask, under which he's more prone to the latter.

As all heralds do, he leaves his target once the job is done.

This quality of his does not make him any malicious however, being something engrained in his being and nature, but instead an incredibly neutral being.

He decieves anyone he's encountered/consulted by, regarthless of their true intention. Thus meaning that, anyone with ill or genuine intent will be tricked by him.

Outside of his role, he can be a tiny bit mischievious at times and kind of a trouble maker, especially when it comes to cookies who believe they've become "his friend". The guy finds those types to be pretty funny.

These ""pranks"" are, once again, not inherently malicious, instead serving as a slightly annoying form of entertainment for a bored Virtue every once in a while. He views it as nothing more than innocent pestering.

But putting deception aside, it's time to discuss the "good" part of the virtue known as Truth

Unlike the other half of Knowledge, Pure Vanilla is the one (most) cookies aim to consult. As he instead shares the very same information both him and Shadow Milk hold with cookie kind, often finding himself answering questions or un-doing the work of Deceit.

He takes his role to heart, and will resort to fighting against what does not align with Truth if necessary..though he sometimes gets caught up fighting for causes that would otherwhise not involve his duty (A prominent one being the fight for Freedom, after it's herald fell from grace.)

Purpose aside, he's not as "expressive" as his counterpart, instead outwardly appearing rather unphased by most of the things he encounters. With such an exterior, he still deeply cares for those he's consulted by, and overtime grows more and more genuine with those he takes a liking to.

When this is the case, he tends to smile much more often and ask questions himself. All the information he (and Shadow Milk) know about their interlocutors is only at face value, they might know life experience but certainly don't the personality and interests of that cookie.

Deep down truth is endlessly curious, and satisfying those he encounters brings him great joy.

They do actively make eachother's jobs more difficult, but still respect one another. It IS what they were baked to do after all.

• 𝐓𝐚𝐫𝐨𝐭 𝟏𝟎𝟏 •

When we think about deity or spiritual communication, many people's first thought is tarot. And while there are a plethora of ways to communicate with entities without it, tarot remains one of the most popular.

This guide will be separated into 3 core sections; The makeup of tarot decks, the meanings of the suits, and how to read the cards. This will be long but I'll try to break everything down as digestible as possible.

𝟎𝟏. 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐃𝐞𝐜𝐤𝐬

𝐓𝐚𝐫𝐨𝐭?

Tarot is well known as a great starting point for entity communication, and easily accessible. There are millions of different styles of decks, but throughout all of them the meanings stay essentially the same. This means you can essentially use the same guidebook/guide for almost every deck. Some decks do have specialized cards that they add to their major arcana, or some will rename suits (the suit of pentacles may be called the suit of coins or the air of cups may be called chalices, etc). But for the most part, things are fairly similar.

𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐬

𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐅𝐨𝐨𝐥'𝐬 𝐉𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐧𝐞𝐲

A tarot deck will typically have 78 cards, with 2 types. The Major Arcana, and the Minor Arcana. The Major Arcana is made up of 22 cards, numbered 0-21 starting with The Fool. These 22 cards can be considered the most important cards in the deck, even if they're not drawn during your readings.

The cards detail a story, aptly named The Fool's Journey, which paints the picture of a fool (0) on a journey enduring trials and life lessons until he rejoins The World (21) with newfound knowledge and understanding of themself.

The Fool's Journey represents us, the holders, and our journey through life and drawing a Major card during readings are typically important and indicative of a pivotal moment in the reading. Readings can actually be conducted entirely with just the Major Arcana because of how significant they are.

𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐌𝐢𝐧𝐨𝐫 𝐀𝐫𝐜𝐚𝐧𝐚

The Minor Arcana make up the bulk of a tarot deck, with 56 cards divided into 4 suits. Swords, Wands, Cups, and Pentacles. Despite the suit names, each suit is made up of 14 named cards. 1-10, the page, the knight, the king, and the queen. This is the standard for each suit.

If the Major Arcana is the Fool's journey, then the Minor Arcana are the details of that journey. Each suit represents a different aspect of a person's life. It can also be representative of the 4 core elements, involve numerology, and align with astrology, however for this guide we'll stick with the meanings of the cards themselves and how to read them.

𝟎𝟐. 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐌𝐞𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬

I won't go over the meanings of all 78 cards simply because this post would be egregiously long, however I will go over the meanings of the Minor Arcana suits.

☆ Pentacles Sensation and the Material

This suit deals with the material world, both internally and externally. This includes finances, stability, and health.

☆ Swords Thinking and Truth

This suit deals with logic and ambition, as well as shedding light on situations for conflict and communication.

☆ Cups Feeling and the Unconscious

This suit represents your emotions and relationships, as well as peeks into your Intuition.

☆ Wands Intuition and Will

This suit represents your drive and passion, as well as your internal introspection.

𝟎𝟑. 𝐑𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐬

So you know the makings of your deck, and you know their meanings. But how do you read the cards? I'll ask some questions to my own deck, draw cards, and discuss how I decipher them!

𝟏 𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐝

"What is an emotion I should be aware of today?" This is the question I've decided to ask for this example! When suckling the cards, I keep this question in mind, but also like to clarify my meaning. "What emotion should I be conscious of today, positive or negative? What do I need to become aware of?" These kinds of questions while shuffling can help get a bit more of an accurate read on your original question. The card I drew for this was:

The Nine of Wands reversed

This card represents exhaustion and emotional burnout. This is a very clear sign that I need to take a moment to relax, and not force myself to do everything all at once, lest I burn myself out and kill my passion. This resonates because it's what's kept me from posting as often as I'd like. Now that I've recuperated though, my cards want me to remember not to reach that point again. To take breaks.

𝟑 𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐬

As I write this, I've done my "daily reading." This is a simple 3 card reading I try to do every morning just to get a feel of my day and the mindset I should try to keep throughout it. The cards I drew were:

The King of Pentacles

The Emperor

The Ace of Cups

Lucky for this example, we've got a Major card! So how do we read this?

Well the King of Pentacles represents abundance, while also representing accountability. This tells me that I need to be aware of my resources, and treat them with care. The King of Pentacles represents a sort of provider, and as a provider it's important to be responsible with the assets you have and provide for others.

Next we see The Emperor. This is another card that represents an authority figure and responsibility. So we see a recurring theme between these two cards already. The Emperor represents a firm hand and the creator of structure.

Finally we see the Ace of Cups. This card represents something completely different than the other 2 cards; instead focusing on the emotional path of life and the joys that come with it. The cards can also represent the start of a new beginning.

It can be confusing to decipher the meanings of these cards when reading just the meanings, so this is where we start to look at the core of these cards, and apply them to our original question/intent.

When we look at my original sentiment "how will my day go today?" we can see that it speaks of being responsible, especially as someone considered an authority figure (i.e. the owner of my discord server or even a blog many people come to for guidance and help). Lately I've noticed I haven't been wholly responsible and it's led me to neglecting this blog in a way I don't enjoy and procrastinating a lot of work on my server. The cards are telling me to take responsibility for the communities I've cultivated. But the Ace of Cups tells me this reading isn't a condemnation, but rather, the start of an exciting new beginning. That is time to shed my old insecurities and fears and to start anew!

𝐌𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐢𝐩𝐥𝐞 𝐌𝐞𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐑𝐞𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧

Sometimes your readings will have multiple meanings, and it will be up to you to decipher which meaning is relevant to what you asked, or if all of them should be headed.

We'll use my 3 card reading as an example.

While this reading represents my need to take responsibility, it can take on other meanings as well. One meaning can be about the relationships I currently have, as the Ace of Cups can also represent the start of a new love. This can change the meaning of me being the responsible party, and instead represent my newfound partner, who is a very large figure of authority.

It can also represent my father, who loves me dearly but is incredibly stern with me.

It's important to see which meaning resonates with you most. For me, the third message doesn't resonate very well, so I won't consider it the intended message. The first two meanings however resonate deeply, and while the first one is much more in depth, I can pull clarifying cards for the second.

𝐂𝐥𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐟𝐲𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐬

Clarifying cards are simply additional cards you draw to clarify your main reading. Sometimes things will seem a bit confusing, or you'll need some extra information. Clarifying cards are used exactly for that. We'll continue off of my previous example in terms of my reading representing my partner, and see what additional information we can gather. Once again, I speak my intentions into my shuffling. "Can I please have some clarification on the meaning of that reading in terms of me and X? Any clarification would be greatly appreciated." The cards I drew was yet another Major Arcana:

The Chariot reversed

This card speaks about a lack of control and direction. This card once again resonates, as for the past week or so I've been incredibly insecure and spiraling over the specifics of this relationship and the aspects of it I can't control. This card reminds me to understand that I can't control every situation and narrative, and part of life is the unknown and the scary.

With this, we've gotten 3 meanings of one reading, 2 of which resonated, and managed to break them down effectively!

Tarot is much easier than you may think, especially when getting down the basics! You don't need to memorize every card right off the bat, using your guidebook or an online guide works perfectly fine. After a while, you'll naturally start to recognize the meanings of each card.

The asteroid Kleopatra (216), is sometimes also referred to as "Cleopatra" with a debated history on whether the asteroid represents more of power and beauty or aspects of love and relationships. Below I've laid out the two ways this asteroid is typically talked about. But keep in mind, it is only one body, asteroid 216. Kleopatra - Strength, charisma, feminine leadership, power, breaking taboos, feminine beauty

A warmth floods your chest at his words. Within minutes, you catch sight of his familiar form gliding effortlessly through the crowd, his wings tucked close to avoid the bustling shoppers. As he approaches, his shadows swirling gently at his sides, his hazel eyes lock onto yours, a soft smile tugging at his lips.

Azriel takes in the sight of you, arms full of bags, and chuckles quietly. “Looks like you’ve been busy,” he says, his tone warm as he reaches for the bags, easily lifting them from your hands as if they weigh nothing. His fingers brush yours as he does, sending a shiver of warmth through you.

“Just a bit,” you reply, smiling up at him. “I didn’t realize how much I was carrying until I tried to walk back.”

Azriel shakes his head, his shadows whispering around you both as if they’re pleased to see you together. “Good thing I’m here, then,” he murmurs, his eyes softening as they linger on you. “Shall we?”

With his strong arm around you, you feel a sense of lightness, knowing that together you can face the chaotic streets and the busy holiday, each gift chosen with care and love for your new family. You walk side by side through Velaris, the snow falling softly around you, as Azriel quietly and effortlessly carries the weight that had become too much for you—just as he always does.

🌅 Lucifer Deity Guide 🌅

Note: This is inspired by both my own experiences with Lucifer and the information I read on @scarletarosa's blog and her devotional guide to him. Please go read that one too!!

The divine rebel, Lucifer is the light of truth and divine wisdom; an ancient light which shines through the darkness, representing illumination. He is the driving force of innovation, liberation and transformation. According to Scarletarosa, who actively works with Lucifer and was told this by him, he was the first-born god of the Universe created by the supreme deity, the Source. He is so incredibly ancient and beautiful. Lilith was created to be his counterpart, the Queen of Heaven. However, Jehovah took the throne of heaven from Lucifer and cast him and his followers into hell. Most of them lost their connection to heaven and their energy became dark and intense. Jehovah claimed the throne of heaven and set himself up as the one true god, manipulating humans into betraying their original deities. Thus, Lucifer became the King of Hell and has been scorned by Christians for millenia.

How was he traditionally worshipped?

There is not much to say about how Lucifer was historically worshiped seeing as he wasn’t worshiped at all for a large chunk of human history. He seems to have been worked with in some capacity according to the Gesta Treverorum, written in 1231, which is where we first see the term Luciferian being used to refer to his worship. This was by a woman named Lucardis for a religious circle, who was said to lament to Lucifer in private and prayed to him. However, the term Luciferians was later applied to basically any groups Christians didn’t like and wanted to fight, as one might expect. However, the modern Luciferian movement also sheds light on how Lucifer is worshiped. For Luciferians, enlightenment is the ultimate goal. Their basic principles highlight truth, freedom of will and fulfilling one’s ultimate potential, and encourage the same in all of us. Traditional dogma is shunned because Luciferians believe that humans do not need deities or the threat of eternal punishment to know what is good and the right thing to do. All ideas are to be tested before being accepted, and even then one should remain critical because knowledge is fluid and ever-changing. Regardless of whether Luciferians view Lucifer as a deity or an archetype, he is a representation of ultimate illumination and exploration in the name of personal growth.

Appearance

For me Lucifer usually appears as a tall light-skinned man with long fiery red hair (so red it looks like it’s been dyed), a sophisticated face with a killer jawline, passionate eyes and dressed in a fancy black suit. From all my experiences with him and what I’ve heard from other followers, it seems Lucifer and most demons dress in full suits and tuxedos. 

Personality

Lucifer is nothing if not charming. He’s a protector first and foremost - one that always works to help you better yourself, but a protector nonetheless. He feels like a protective older brother taking care of you while your parents are away. He is a very complex entity, deeply wise and eloquent. He is more serious than one might expect for a demon given their popular depictions in our culture as chaotic forces of evil, but Lucifer is full of courage and love. I often feel him with me even when I’m not doing things related to him. He is proud of his follower’s accomplishments and congratulates them on a job well done, though he also reminds them that the job is never truly over. Growth is constant. Lucifer is the epitome of growth, blunt and gentle at the same time, telling you what you need to do and giving you space to figure out how to do it. 

Lucifer values resilience, the pursuit of self-betterment, intellectualism, courage, open-mindedness and responsibility in individuals and wants to see his followers develop these qualities. He is constantly rooting for you to reach your full potential. He won’t hold your hand the entire way, but he will help you take steps in the right direction. Lucifer, like all deities, is different for everyone and will adjust his approach depending on your needs.
