Ok! So I’m workshopping the dojo again using the idea an anon suggested where players can add an effect to a move. I’m trying to come up with effects but I haven’t come up with enough yet. Some ideas I have are:

Add distance- so a move that can shoot across 2 tiles can now shoot across 3

Knock back- pushes target back by 1(+) tile

Hit twice- move hits target twice but only consumes 1 pp

Advantage- roll 2 die instead of 1 and take higher number

(Names are not set)

Hi! I should probably put this on the post, but im a bit of a socially anxious person, so i hope you dont mind me sending this on anon! But I saw your post asking about ideas for that dojo and I thought what if the dojo could imbue effects into the moves you have?

Like, Water gun now has a chance of knocking back opponents a 10ft distance, or Force Palm now has a chance to let you attack more than once? And maybe as the players get stronger (and by proxy be able to handle tougher training) more unique/powerful effects will be available to them? I dont know, just an idea I thought of!- (Sorry if you already have something like that for another shop, system, or npc, or if its just not possible in general-)
