I got this comment on a post that I made about being a trans man and noticing how we’re perceived by others. This person is blocked now because I don’t want some transphobe on my blog, but I want to talk a little bit about this.
I like how this person’s trying to convince me that I’m wrong while saying that the only people who would be attracted to us are lesbians who are into butch women. But they can’t use those exact words or else we’ll all KNOW that they’re misgendering us. It’s interesting. Let’s play a game! TERF or transandrophobe. (I’m not scrolling through their blog long enough to find out.)
Okay. Let’s pretend that we live in their world, where trans men are not also a porn category (as someone pointed out in a response comment), and get to the deep cuts!
Now maybe this person defines oversexualization in a different way, and frequently commenting on our bodies—especially our chests—is totally cool and normal to them, because I literally have a post talking about the Tik Tok trend of “oh trans man wants me to respect his pronouns but he has HUGE BOOBS!!! haha this is so funny, guys!” You may notice that in this example here, she claims to feel bad, but then immediately turns around and makes a joke about it. Is describing transmascs essentially as our chests not sexualization? Not to mention dehumanizing considering they refer to this person as “a he/they,” instead of a transmasc or a nonbinary person or anything else.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
But if that’s not enough sexualization for you, or you think that it isn’t valid to be upset over that, you can look under the cuts for the disgusting descriptions of our bodies from some transphobes. From some of those “ladies who just like butch,” since they’re innocent and aren’t oversexualizing us because “nobody oversexualizes ftm trans folks,” as the person in the screenshot said confidently.
I wanna say trigger warning for disgusting oversexualization of trans men (including trans men who are in their teens!) under the cut, but huh… the commenter said that nobody oversexualizes trans men, so this can’t be right. (On a serious note, please do heed the trigger warning before deciding to open the rest of the post.)

“ouhhhh trans men are so privileged because they can get into women’s colleges and trans women can’t clearly this is them taking advantage of transmisogyny or something” what are you talking about legitimately what the fuck are you talking about. my ass is not getting into a women’s college even if i wanted to, but regardless the trans men who do aren’t doing so for some vague nefarious reason meant to hurt trans women. do you really think a trans man in a women’s college is going to be treated well, do you seriously think he wouldn’t be treated as an invader or a confused girl in need or correcting or a plaything?? do you not think that would be incredibly isolating????? why are you yelling at us when the cis people making these stupid rules are RIGHT THERE. trans men aren’t blocking trans women from getting into women’s colleges or other women’s spaces, and no we shouldn’t be inherently excluded from them either actually because we get no fucking support from the larger trans community. this isn’t even about the post that sparked this post anymore. i’m sick of my community being blamed for shit we DO NOT DO as a group because we’re an easier target than the cis people who actually have power.

Could you explain your position on Shallura? Since Allura was established as a teenager when she started dating Lance and Shiro was very clearly an adult. I can understand the bi shiro headcannon but the shallura thing worries me
i am going to remind yall that i have been in this fandom since 2016. and in the early seasons, allura was not established as a teenager. in fact she was coded as older, as closer to shiro's age -- there was a specific divide between her and the younger paladins that she did not have with shiro. they made her younger (both explicitly and in mannerisms) as the show went on. and i do not give a fuck about voltron like...post s4 and i didn't even watch s7-8. so like. especially with older fics, im going to enjoy shallura.
#also this is less relevant and i was going to put it in the main post but i cant find the words for it#but i found your last sentence kind of condescending. “the shallura thing worries me” as if i am your little project and things arent going#to plan. as if you are the Knower Of All Things and i am straying from my path lol. twas odd#and this is a controversial thing to say i know it but like#we take fandom way too seriously. if someone decides in fic to make two characters the same age to ship them or whatever. do we really need#to get the torches and pitchforks. like i can understand discomfort when people ship like shiro and pidge or something but. also. i feel#like you can just block and move on?? like i dont ship sheith bc they are brothers. to me. but also i dont think sheithers should be#harassed or any dumb shit like that. i think its so so whatever like theyre Lines man theyre moving lines#at the same time i understand that peoples headcanons can be reflective of their worldviews (like when racism/transphobia/sexism shine#through someone's headcanons/characterization) but how much scrutiny is too much? when do we get to remember that fandom is a place to#work with the FICTIONAL? where you can change details without consequence? i saw a fic where keith was the older sibling and shiro was the#younger once. it was a good fic. how come we can play with ages but only when the Fandom Council approves?#i guess this is a really long and clumsy way to say like. you do not own the fandom nor do you get to dictate my work. and while there#is always room for necessary criticism please also think critically before you post your criticism#anyways#rant#ask

i want my girlfriend in a way that makes feminism rejoice.
i want her girl cock in me so deep i can't remember my own name.
i want her to press on my stomach while she fucks me so i can feel every inch.
i want her to poke my bladder when it's filled to the brim.
i want her to be the reason it's full.
i want her to feed me glass after glass until i'm whining and squirming in her lap as she fiddles with my clit over damp panties.
i want her to call me a good girl when i leak onto her fingers, telling me i'm doing so well for mistress and making such a pretty mess.
i want her to make me watch her piss while i'm desperate, her stream splattering against the porcelain and making my eyes almost roll back in pure desire.
i want her to stroke herself once she's done, just to rile me up even more, teasing me about how pathetic i look practically drooling over her still piss-dripping girl dick.
i want to catch the last squirts on my tongue.
i want to wet myself at her feet.
i want her.
god, no, i NEED her.

Part Two of ?? Of the HCs
1 | 2 | 3
Ada Wong
Tumblr media
Bisexual/Trans Feminine/Aroace
Bisexual because I see her being interested in both men and women.
Trans because yes.
Aroace because I don’t see her interested in anyone, and yes, that includes Leon. I see those two more of bisexual besties that are each other’s wingman/woman even though both of them never really score /hj
Sherry Birkin
Tumblr media
Bisexual/Asexual
Bisexual as like Ada, I see her being interested in men and woman.
Asexual as she’s like me (heard about sex and said no thanks /hj).
H.U.N.K.
Tumblr media
Aroace
No questions, that is all /hj
Actually, I don’t know why, I just see him only really being married to his job, and for that reason, he isn’t attracted to anyone.
Carlos Oliveira
Tumblr media
Bisexual/Trans Masculine/Asexual/Demiromantic/Polyamorous
Bisexual as he’s like Leon; I would hc him as gay if he didn’t flirt with Jill.
Trans because I can.
Asexual because I don’t know, something about him screams asexual.
Demiromantic as he does flirt, but he doesn’t like anyone romantically unless he’s close with them.
Polyamorous because he is with Leon and Luis, and they live in an apartment together with a wolf and a cat.
Steve Burnside
Tumblr media
Bisexual
I really hate that they made him act weird with Claire because he gives me hella gay man vibes.
Crossing my fingers they get rid of that in the remake.
Jack Krauser
Tumblr media
Bisexual/Asexual/Demiromantic
Bisexual but he’s in denial even though he’s 100% kissed Wesker a couple times /hj
I keep seeing people hc/say that Krauser’s bisexual awakening was Leon, but no thanks, Leon technically his student as Krauser is his mentor (aka a student/teacher relationship), and I feel weird about it. I prefer to say it’s Wesker, thank you-
Asexual because he doesn’t actually like sex.
Demiromantic because it takes a lot of closeness for Krauser to actually fall in love with someone romantically.
Manuela Hidalgo
Tumblr media
Pansexual/Aroace
Pansexual as I can see her not really caring about the gender of who she dates, just as long as she loves them, she’s with them.
Aroace as I see her being so.
Ashley Graham
Tumblr media
Lesbian/Demisexual
I actually flip-flop on her sexuality a lot. She’s either 100% a lesbian or bisexual with a preference for woman.
Before anyone says, “What about when she flirted with Leon??”, shhhh. Let me have this.
Something about her gives me “I love woman more” vibes.
Anyway, demisexual as I can see her only being okay with it when she’s close with someone.
Ingrid Hunnigan
Tumblr media
Lesbian/Aroace
I’m not kidding when I only started seeing her as a lesbian through a Hunnigan/Ada fic. It was really fucking good that it made me only see her loving women, not men. I didn’t even ship them, but it convinced me.
Aroace because she doesn’t seem interested in anyone really.
Luis Serra-Navarro
Tumblr media
Genderfluid/Bisexual/Polyamorus
I have this thing that I look at characters in fandoms I’m in, and if their hair is very gender, they get genderfluid as a treat.
That’s what happened with Luis. Plus, I see him possibly fluctuating between femininity and masculinity a lot in terms of how he dresses.
Bisexual because have you seen him? He’s clearly a bisexual man.
Polyamorous because he’s definitely dating Carlos and Leon /hj

I just remembered the time I was a summer camp counselor and I tried to read the first Harry Potter book aloud to my campers, and I had to skip over so many fatphobic lines
Because why would I just expose these perfectly nice kids to a bunch of mean comments, played off as comedy, that they would use as ammunition against other kids and themselves? It's just plain cruel. Joanne was incredibly fucking weird for that

why do you care if a terf made the post? reblogging ≠ agreeing with whatever the poster believes
i can agree with a singular point a post is making without wanting to platform the user on my blog once i know their wider belief system is based on bigotry. like it literally is that simple. i'm not comfortable interacting with terfs on here so i won't. hope this helps

wolfstar tumblr has started again to claim that we shouldn’t describe sirius as short and feminine because it’s “heteronormative”, that we shouldn’t describe remus as tall and masculine because it’s, you know, un-canon (a terf’s?). it feels like terfs are coming to the fandom and we are going back to the time back then when popular writers who turned out terfs were dominating the fandom. seems the fandom is adopting the old terfs’ claims again and even shamelessly applauding it. how are you bearing these days, laura. as for me as a trans person who hates jkr and her holy “canon”, it’s horrible. feel like everything the few good people (such as you) in the fandom had tried was vain. sorry for disturbing you.
well it's been about three or so months since i last made a post about this stuff so sounds about right that more terfy posts are coming out all surrounding height discourse. it's a cycle in the r/s fandom and im afraid these terfs and transphobes aren't coming to the fandom they've all probably been here a while because this fandom is rife with them due to the source material and general politics of the people that write the fic (liberals who are so totally for gender neutral bathrooms but transwomen make them obviously uncomfortable irl)
i've already talked a bit about how harmful and also dumb this line of thinking is re: short and fem s so i'll link this post on gender essentialism i made but i'll say again it's just so tedious how it's often the same people who don't seem to inspect where their assumptions are coming from. people stick terfs dni in their bio and perhaps disagree with the openly transphobic lawmakers but that doesn't mean their biases against trans people don't exist. transphobia is far more insidious than that!
like people seem to go: short s -> s is "whiny" and "annoying" -> he's feminine (whether he actually is or not) -> thus he's being written like he's a girl and that's bad because that's heteronormative
the media heuristic that exists that "whiny" and "weaker" men (ie. complaining, relying on their boyfriend/partner for things, idk being the fucking little spoon) are women-coded does not mean you shouldn't make any character whiny or annoying or whatever because then you are essentially making them a woman and that's Bad -- the response is to unpack the very idea that there are certain traits connected to men and women and when applied to people of the opposite or other genders somehow still has a connection to an innate gender of 'man' or 'woman'.
also, s characterisation is varied but not as prolifically dramatic and bad as people seem to say. they're latching on to the 'feminine short s characterisation' where he acts dramatic as if i have not ready many a fic where he is tall and stereotypical masculine with similar personality traits. however, these traits are viewed differently when packaged differently. the difference is s wearing a skirt or being perceived as feminine in a way that they do not view as aligned with their perception of how gender should operate.
whether intentionally transphobic or not, the shorthand people use in these discussion always ties in with this belief that there are innate gendered characterisitics that if acted out in certain relationships makes them heteronormative. i am afraid that's not how queer relationships work! they are still gay even if one of them is short and the other tall and one is fem and the other masc like? you can dislike certain relationship dynamics but that doesn't make them inherently problematic or homophobic or anything. i avoid plenty of r/s fic because it's not how i personally view them. i don't try and morally justify my dislike because i don't like how they wrote r i just click out. as for saying one thing is canon and another is not like idgaf whatever!! most of canon is quite horrible and problematic and of course we are all engaging with it to some degree but to use it to argue something as meaningless as height should be adhered to. well i'm scrolling away frankly.
idk people are always telling on themselves in these discussions and you can pretty much always track one degree of separation between them and a pretty outward terf. i block and unfollow a lot of people but at the end of the day i engage with far less content than i used to because it sucks seeing so much transphobic and often anti-queer discussion. it's exhausting and it's why so many trans people especially transfem people leave this fandom. people can slap anti-jkr in their bio as much as they want, a terf is still a fucking terf.

The condescending weaseling-around here is fucking infuriating. "We're requiring schools to out trans kids to their parents, but no worries! we have a child welfare system to deal with the inevitable resulting abuse!"
"Sure it might seem inappropriate for me to dictate to doctors what medical care they can provide but I'm just not personally comfortable with it! and isn't my comfort what matters?!"
Fuck this woman and the horse she rode in on.

I think a lot of people on this website need to learn two things: how to use the block button, and how to be the bigger person.
Like if someone says something you don't like, you can just block them. Obviously in some situations they are harassing people/being super racist/etc. and saying something/reporting them is necessary. But in most situations, you can just block someone and move on with your day. You don't have to tell them to kill themselves. I promise you it wont help the situation. Like if somebody really does have as awful of an opinion/belief as you believe them to have, a Tumblr ask is not going to change them as a person. Getting them banned or run-off the internet wont make them change their mind. It really wont.
Don't waste your energy on being hateful. Use it to actually do something productive. Use it to go show love to someone who needs it. I don't think you need to show love to people when you feel they're being shitty, no. But there are plenty of non-shitty people on this website who could really use a kind anon, or a reblog, or sweet message.
Do you really need to spend your time sending anon hate to a random trans woman on Tumblr who phrased a post a bit crudely? Or a black person who is complaining about your favorite show in a rude way? Or a Palestinian being upset with the U.S. government in an unpalatable way? Do you really need to spen your time being hateful/condesending towards them? The problem you have with them, whatever it be, is it truly unsolvable by just blocking them? Do you need to spread hatred? Is it necessary?
Chances are, it would be 1000 times more beneficial to everyone involved if you just block the person, and instead use that energy and effort to do something good/kind.
Just because you feel someone is shitty (weather they are or not is irrelevant) does not mean that you need to be shitty back. In the long run, it will always have been better to walk away and try to make the online world a kinder place, than to harass a random person on Tumblr.
Like I mean, I obviously think you should try like. Listening to people first before blocking them. Sometimes people are saying very important things. But either way, if something someone posts is making you upset enough where you feel the need to attack them or be rude/mean/hateful, then you should step away. Maybe you just need to step away from that person, or maybe the internet as a whole for a while. Either way, you need to take second and ask yourself: "Do I really need to do this?"
I'm not exactly sure why this is so hard for so many people, because I thought that this was something that cartoons taught everyone when we were little kids... But hey, its never too late to learn, and its never too late to be kind. There are a lot of people who could use that kindness right now. Take some of that time you might have used to be an asshole, and please spend it on some of these causes;
gazafunds
click for palestine
sudanese fundraisers
congo rescources
lots of trans folks need financial help in the notes of this post!
check out some black creators!
read this post!
and last of all: try to find somebody in your space who is struggling- be it physically, emotionally, mentally, or financially- and send them some love.
Use your time wisely, please. You only have so much of it.
