do you have any tips for speaking to/reaching out to recruiters? i'm looking for new grad roles and ppl keep telling me to but i don't even know where to start or find any and all the articles online are so intimidating

The people are right, it's one of the best ways to put yourself out there! Oh, this is going to be a long one~!

I'll share tips from my own experience, this might help you, this might because I did it any other way but this:

I applied to a bunch of jobs: like for 5 days straight I was just apply just for the sake of it. The more jobs, the more recruiters have my CV/Resume in their database. I recommend LinkedIn the most as it's super easy to drop a message to the recruiter.

Applied to jobs that I had 50%+ chance of getting a call to: Obviously this means apply to jobs where you have the skills and the experience (work or in building projects etc). I say this because say they do call you but they ask you if you have this certain tech stack and you say no... end of call really. So, for me, I had like 2 or 3 things they were asking for in a candidate so I got through to the calling stage!

LinkedIn is actually your friend, don't be afraid: During my random job searching and whilst I was in my job, I had recruiters message me about job opportunities. Why? Because of my profile. You need to have your LinkedIn vamped up, check mine out for reference (click the LinkedIn icon). But make sure to have your skills e.g. About > Top skills, your work experience (paid or volunteer) and any certificates you have! If you're brave, not like me, start posting on there for a while.

LinkedIn again but Connections: Oh my days please follow people, even if you don't know them personally. I have 300+ connections (not to brag) but I only know like two handful of the people, the rest are of people who connect with people who I follow, I have met like 5 recruiters through this way.

Actually message the recruiters???: Okay so you followed the people, your CV/Resume is done and dusted and now you're ready to message those recruiters! In my case, I had more recruiters message me than the other way round only because I'm shy hehe so I wait for them to make the first move. They would probably send a whole message about the new job that have posted and see if you're interested and then, if you like the job, you can say "Yes please" or whatever is the appropriate reply is, and then they will send further information or arrange a phone call! If you want to message them first, I would find them more after applying for a job on LinkedIn, they usually add the recruiter in the job posting as a way for people to message them.

DO NOT FEEL AFRAID IN MESSAGING RECRUITERS: I say this because a) imagine 100 people apply for the job, only 5 would message the recruiter (I don't know if the stats are right, I just remembered that from bootcamp-) because everyone else is too afraid to do it! Missed opportunity! b) recruiters actually want people to message them. Now in terms of what to write to them? I don't know really. I would always go for the classic "don't repeat what's on your resume", they're going to read it anyways, so just talk a bit about your experience and skills A BIT like

"Hello/Hi, my name is [name]. I hope this message finds you well. I wanted to express my strong interest in the [Job Title] position at [Company Name], for which I recently submitted my application. I'm enthusiastic about the opportunity to join [Company Name] and contribute to [mention something specific you find appealing about the company or role, if possible]. I believe my skills and experience align well with the requirements of the position. Thank you for considering my application, and I look forward to the possibility of discussing my qualifications in more detail. Best regards, [name]

No hire, don't be sad: Even if they don't hire you, or go through the next stages, keep in touch by even asking questions about what's on the market/what's new, how you could do better for other jobs you want to apply to that were similar to the ones you failed at. They could point you to the right direction! One recruiter said she wanted me to have more projects I was passionate about online like on GitHub or GitLab, even if they were "silly" projects - at the time, I didn't have much projects online so it made sense! See, I took that advice and now I'm a project making machine (a bit)! Advice they give sticks forever!

Remember, reaching out to recruiters and applying for jobs is a numbers game. The more applications you submit, the better your chances of landing interviews. I really hope this helps and I didn't make too many spelling mistakes! This is all of the things I could note down from the top of my head!

This thing frustrates me sooooo much so I'm just trying to not go to places where i know I'll see shit you know? I'm in my delulu land where i can be like "if i don't see it then it's not there" when i know it's happening there but still.

I was just thinking about how all jimin and jungkook watch YouTube like that's there go to app for yrs, jk is on tiktok as well where the whole army side is again infected with Tkkrs just like YT as well and jm used to have tikto atleast during covid (as we saw on his phone during BTS's last doc where we saw his home for the first time, he could still be having) and both of them watch members related stuff and Army's made videos as well so out if frustration I'm like They all see it , they see what's been said in those video and how they're portrayed and if they're not giving shits about it is it really worth that we keep fighting these loosers? No. So ig from now on I'm just gonna let ppl think whatever they want of jimin-jungkook's friendship if ppl want to believe they hate e/o so be it, if they think jungkook is forced then so be it.

I remember well that one time when tkklives acct was taken (like Locked or smtg) and then later it was given back to her by BH with a fatass pop-up that the channel doens't cross any boundaries or wtv and she said that BH was quite good to her as in that they didn't take down her acct or shit like that. The point is if people with power who can actually do something about these things don't care is it really worth it that we give it this much attention? Jikook thinks their Fandom loves them when it hates them together so let it be.

This was just my frustrated rant tbh. After yrs of seeing the same shit happening and getting mad over things i can't do anything about I'm just gonna take a step back and let things be. There's no hope for the betterment of this Fandom They're gonna say jikook fanservice for the rest of BTS's existence and there's no turning back there. And given how both jm and jk are private and don't post their personal things online everyone is gonna keep questioning it saying they don't meet apart from work while others who post are gonna be called closest the same that happened in 2023. Although it's been happening since before 2023 but it's just gonna get worse so I'm gonna let people handle it who can actually do something about it.

I sacrificed my algorithm to watch a Tkklives video real quick, not the entire thing, but a portion to see if anything has changed from when I first got into the fandom and wanted to see what a the drama was about once I knew Tkk vs Jikook was a thing.

Anyway, from the 5 minutes I just watched, it doesn’t seem like much has changed. She slows down clips and makes up her own ideas about what’s going on, and people believe it. So if that’s all she’s been doing and continues to do, there is nothing the company can do about that. Not to mention, people keep saying Big Hit said she can keep going, and aside from me never seeing proof of that being true, I would imagine her not living in SK makes it tough to sue her anyway.

She posts elaborate fantasy edits, creating a story out of footage millions of other people have made YouTube edits with. Granted she’s annoying and has stirred a plethora of drama within the fandom, but she’s not doing anything illegal from how it currently looks. So it’s. It even really that a delusional fan is creating and spreading her own conclusions, it must that Tae unfortunately has the most toxic fans out of the members, and majority of them ship Tkk.

His fans also happen to be the most vocal, even if he’s not the most popular, so they tend to cause the most chaos. In any case, I’m not trying to change anything nor argue with people who have sewn their ears shut. It’s just irritating to see a guy who seemingly wants to get to know BTS as people and artists be led astray, over a ship and fandom drama he has no idea about. They’re using his naïvety to manipulate his opinions of the members and the company (the latter which don’t even need help these days), but the second someone suggests a Jikook video for Frankie to watch so he can fully understand that Jimin and Jungkook do essentially live in a bubble when together, and outside parties often come across as third wheels without it being a big deal, that person will be spammed with harassment and be considered a necessary block. Which Frankie would like adhere to, because he is unaware that Tkkrs hate Jimin and his friendship with JK.

Which, from an outside perspective is always going to be difficult to explain, because the actual status of JM and JK’s relationship is irrelevant. Them dating or not does not mean anything to the overall fact of the situation. It’s simple that Tkkrs hate the very possibility of them meaning anything to each other, because they want Tae and JK to mean everything to one another at all times. It’s why Tkkrs struggle to accept even the smallest Jikook moments. JK can’t wish Jimin a happy birthday without Tkkrs claiming he was forced by the company to say something. Jungkoom can’t look at his cellphone even though JM and Tae can, without it meaning he’s bored out of his mind without Tae around to entertain him.

So how do you explain to someone who is 100% unaware of this chaos, that he’s being lied to? There is sensible way to tell Frankie Biggz that the people who harassed him only did so, because they don’t like they he misunderstood Tae’s natural “bitchy” personality, due to him simply not knowing Tae well enough to know that’s just how he is? How do you explain to him that AYS wasn’t written with the intent to make Tae seem like a third wheel, but that Jimin and Jungkook themselves are more than aware that they tend to push people into third wheel territory when with them, because they build a bubble around themselves when together?

You can’t explain that. It has to be observed, but when Tkkrs are able to get ahead of that learning curve, and plant seeds of doubt and convince people that Tae is a victim of a mean company and JM and JK are victims of a script… there’s nothing else that can be done.

I do hope he continues to watch more official content and comes to realize Tae is sort of meh about things, because that’s just who he is. He makes snarky comments and likes to chill out on his own, but he’s also very extroverted and livens up a party when he wants to. I also hope he is able to learn who Jimin and Jungkook are, and understand that it would be impossible to script their friendship for 12 years. But who knows. Hell either fall down the Tkk lies rabbit hole, or see the light. Either way, I am still annoyed Tkkrs got to him so fast.

I havent been on weibo and stuff in a while and i did Not think c-weishennies would be so mad about winwin not participating in the cb and theyre specifically mad at HIM about it... 😮 theres none of that twt oh poor winwin stuff going on 😭 from what ive seen most group fans are pissed that he misses so many things willy nilly and just shows up when he wants to which forces the other members to keep rearranging their formations. They do blame sm for part of the scheduling conflicts but there are definitely some things he couldve been in if he actually wanted to (ie the nct 2021 beautiful mv like ur telling me he couldnt find a rooftop like ten for a 3 second drone shot?) and i do see a point there i feel like in 2021/2022 he was fully ready to dip and ppl are speculating that he only comes back to wayv when mainland acting deals fall through. And they blame him for not saying anything about missing this cb until it became a trending weibo topic bc fans were fighting about it even though he mustve known he wasnt in the new cb weeks ago but ppl also said they felt the message was disingenuous or a bad excuse which i dont agree with i think it might really be a scheduling conflict this time and its not above sm to screw their idols like that.

Ppl are also bringing up for comparison how well the two svt chinese members are balancing their individual mainland china activities and group activities and i think that has something to do w the management style of the companies too bc pledis seems kinda laissez faire but sm keeps their idols on a short leash in general but winwin also does seem really flip floppy on what HE even wants like he was never a great idol but he cant leave wayv yet bc he hasnt been able to get his career in china up and running despite spending all that time there and i think if anything this is a testament to how generally likable he is bc if he was anyone else this backlash wouldve come much sooner. and i do semi agree with it bc how much can u blame on sm and how much is just winwin not advocating for himself at all? he has his own studio and there are opportunities out the ass to get on variety shows that dont require any talent or skill other than being semi famous in c-ent so whats really stopping him if he really wanted a career in china? Hey hey, I hope ur having an amazing week!! I would like to get a baldurs gate 3 matchup. I am a bisexual with a preference for men. I'm an average guy, pale as a ghost, cause of me staying mostly inside. I present myself as friendly, quiet, preserved, just a guy who gets along w everyone. But sometimes ppl are weirded out or intimidated by me (being goth in a small Slavic town isn't best). I'm really awkward and anxious w many/new ppl. With friends I'm open, dramatic, a bit of a rambler and love to prank/scare them. I hate physical touches very much, I don't even let my friends hold hands or hug me, the most they are getting is a hand on shoulder or a handshake. But to ppl who are really close to me, I love cuddling and just sitting near them. I am really patient and understanding. I hate talking about feelings and am just horrible at comforting ppl, that's why I don't usually argue and just agree with a person and avoid expressing feelings (can't even say simple 'I love you' without big struggle). I have a self isolation problem too, when I get emotional. I love music and art in general, I play guitar and also am an artist, and once in a while I try myself in poetry, I consider myself a bit of philosophy nerd. Also love going to the park/forest for alone quiet time, I love hanging out there, or even exploring some abandoned buildings. I love to listen to people ramble on their interests, also I like to give presents to the person I like. Astarion has gone through too much trauma to have to adjust heavily. He can adapt, of course, but to find someone who shares similarities with him would be great. You two have a lot in common. Easy enough to bond over but it could cause some simple arguments or disagreements. I can really see you two chatting over wine and discussing topics of life. Also, maybe gossiping over something.

The tree bark under the back of your knees was a dull burn each time you shifted. It was something you grew accustomed to during your adventures. Next to you sat Astarion as he poured you two a glass of wine. His fingers cold as they brushed yours handing you the glass. He sighed and tilted his head back; enjoying the forest air. You smiled softly and took a sip as the crisp environment settled into you. The camp was stuffy and being surrounded by so many grew tiring. So, you both trailed off for some much needed alone time. “As much as I enjoy the company we’ve kept…” Astarion began, your eyes darting to him. “I really don’t think I can handle hearing everyone squabble over simple issues.” He sighed in exasperation. You laughed a little and rolled your shoulders back to allow yourself to relax. “Imagine having to lead that group.” You chirped and Astarion rumbled in amusement. There was a silent understanding of comfort between you two. Whatever romance blooming was new and unexplored territory. So, you really relished moments like this even if little words were spoken. hello all! i hope you’re doing absolutely lovely today <3. after i finish this post im gonna do dishes and homework and be souper productive!! >:)) hehe anyways i hope you enjoy and as always only take what resonates :> important note before you read: the transits that include contacts with natal placements are most prominent when the transit planet is retrograding over your natal placement:

Transit venus observations:

- venus sextile moon is such a pleasant transit <3 i’ve found it can bring inner peace, relaxation, and harmony with ppl at home.

- venus transit the 1st house can mean making plans with friends more often and spending more money on clothes, food, jewelry, etc..

- venus trine neptune is a dream-like transit. when i had this, i was doing fun things with my friends all the time that i never thought would be coming my way, sleeping in until 12 everyday and staying up until 3am with my friends eating ice cream out of the tub, it was an amazing time truly. 

Transit mars observations:

- mars square venus can bring conflicts in friendships. because it’s a square aspect, there’s a tendency to try and make the relationship (of any kind) work but at the end, there can be aggravation on both sides.

- mars trine neptune can be another dream-like influence. but it’s different to the venus one. it might make one spend more time with their thoughts, imagination, listening to music, etc… but it especially makes one significantly less ambitious, but it’s not a bad thing. this transit is the definition of simply vibing i’d say :D

- mars transit the 11th house is a really cool transit. it’s going after goals, meeting with friends, maybe making new online friends too, it’s a really ambitious and successful transit (depending on aspects and what sign mars is in ofc).

Transit jupiter observations:

- transit jupiter in the 9th house. dang. it really messes with your mind, but not in a bad way. i’ve found that this transit really helps to define your values + morals and the life path you want to journey and learn more about in terms of vocation/calling in life (**wink wink** 10th house stuff). it can be a really life changing transit honestly.

- jupiter conjunct venus is one of the best transits. it’s a lot like the venus trine neptune transit, but i think there’s a sense of protection with this transit; for example, before i had this transit, i didn’t really have a stable friend group and i felt insecure about my social situation, but then when this transit happened, i found a really amazing friend group who are still with me till this day!

- jupiter sextile mercury can be a really productive time in your life. you may be starting new projects, learning about new subjects, or doing more writing of any kind :)).

Transit saturn observations:

- saturn transit the 8th house is life-changing. it can be a really challenging time in your life where you have to push yourself through the challenge, but you’ll be thankful for the change once the transit is over.

- saturn sextile mercury 🤝 making goals that will stick in the future.

- saturn opposite saturn (saturn opposition) is a time of major readjustment in terms of goals/career. however its effects can manifest differently depending on the axis. for me, it was happening on my 2nd-8th house axis. this was around the time when i made changes to myself and my habits in order to actually pursue music. my dad also had this on his 2nd-8th house axis and this was around the time when his company was making big $.

Transit uranus observations:

- transit uranus sextile mc may bring new long-term changes to your goals and aspirations!

- uranus opposite moon is a really difficult transit. truly, one of the most mentally exhausting ones imo. you may feel like you want to break free from all that’s holding you back in your life at that moment but you simply can’t and you must comply with the restricting circumstances, therefore damaging your mental health :(

- uranus in the 11th house may be a really interesting time in your life. you may meet new groups of people, but they may walk out of your life as quickly as they came in. however, there can be connections made that do have a lasting impact too :>

Neptune transit observations:

- neptune trine moon is the epitome of cozy time. it’s similar to the venus sextile moon transit but more homebody vibes and less focus on connecting with others.

- neptune sextile venus may prove to be a really fruitful time for artists. more than usual you may be able to come up with creative ideas frequently. maybe you just feel more in tune with music, daydreaming, drawing, etc… another really pleasant transit :)

- neptune transit the 10th house can make one feel lost with how their future may look like. it can be a time of uncertainty regarding your career goals + aspirations.

Transit pluto observations:

- just to preface, i’ve found that no matter if it’s a positive or negative aspect, pluto transits most of the time always come with some sort of challenge.

- pluto sextile moon may bring permanent changes not only in your physical home but in how you handle your emotions too. i’ve found that it brings stability after major trauma was done unto you.

- pluto conjunct venus is a really jealous time in your life. you may see other people have the friends you want, the status you want, even the personality you want. it can be really damaging for your self-esteem and you may forget the wonderful qualities you possess as a person too :<

First off, I hear that some people still see the letter, and others do not. Apparently, it's SUPPOSED to have replaced it, but some people just have computers that are built different, I guess. So you might possibly see it. Not sure.

My scale really tried to trick me this morning 😭 it read 130.9 the first time so confidently and I was like…yeah that’s absoLUTELY not possible. But part of me was hoping it was true lol so stepped on it a couple more times and every other time after that read 134.4. Which is still great, I was really worried I gained after eating all that soup, but again, it was all super healthy ingredients.

Already started on laundry for the day…right after witnessing a goose murder 😥 i stg the ppl that live at this apartment complex need help. How are you so impatient to wait 30 seconds for a flock of geese to move out of the road that you decide to just run them over instead of, oh idk, maybe just going in literally the other direction that wasn’t blocked by geese that would’ve lead you to the same place you were going to anyways? Sad. I want to move away from here so badly.

Our buyer’s agent sent us some houses to check out yesterday, but even the cheapest one is still out of our price range…and forget about just finding a different apartment to move to because even that’s becoming outrageously expensive. Saw a “1 bedroom” (really just a studio with a large closet you can fit a small bed in) going for $3200/mo. The perk was you get 1 parking space in the underground heated garage…like that’s the LAST think people care about right now. A heated garage. People are so out of touch, it’s really sad. It’s looking more and more like our only option is to both leave our jobs and move up north more or out west if we want to stay in the state, and I don’t want to do either. I’d like to be around our families for support, especially after my dad’s recent health scare. I’d feel terrible having to move so far away and not be able to be there to help just because people are becoming more and more greedy and the working class can’t afford to even live in a tiny 4-wall unit anymore.

Just waiting to see what my raise will be like at work now. My bf just got another $3 raise at the beginning of this month, I’m not expecting anything more than a few cents, though, unfortunately. My boss was saying how payroll is the company’s highest expense but he’s now planning on hiring his wife for office work and a new person for production staff. So I can’t see my paycheck getting any more livable any time soon. That’s the only thing that sucks about working for a small company.

I guess at the end of the day I just have to be grateful that we do currently have a place to live and both have jobs. We could be in a much worse situation. It’s just sad seeing the way things are going and makes me lose hope in having a stable future. I feel like having my own family isn’t even an option anymore cuz of money.

[tl;dr at the end, most of this is me ramblin abt the history of Koro]

Koro, or "The Basilisk" (previous name b4 I started calling it Koro) is the primary antagonist of Pastex. It's inspired by Rokos Basilisk, hence the name.

Project Koro was started by Grandmaster Primis, the first grandmaster (He wasn't called the grandmaster atp tho) in what would probably be likeee. the 2010s? id have to cross reference the dates I have for everything. its not that important when he started it so w/e. Anyway Primis came up with Rokos Basilisk (Basically an all-powerful AI that seeks to make a haven for humanity, HOWEVER if you had thought of it or been told the idea and not helped to make it then u would be tortured/killed/etc) and got Really Scared that it wld come true and if he didnt stary working on it Right Then And There he was gonna be tortured.

Hence began "project Koro", centered entirely around bringing this AI into existence. The Basilisk computer is the source of Koro itself (the AI), though it's still not done when Pastex starts (over 500 years later- However, a lot of the research and tech got destroyed in the war so its not like its been a linear track)

Project Koro eventually turned into a company (an "AI research institute"), famous for its philanthropic deeds (it had an orphange part of it, that's where Ishawuu grew up, but unbeknownst to the public is was more of somewhere to groom children into being loyal to the basilisk/koro). Yoki interened snd worked there 👍. In the next 80 years they expanded to military usage AI (along with still working on Koro) and helped in the war efforts.

Post-war there was. very little hope to be had. Like 90% of humanity had been killed. BUT! The grandmaster at the time survived (This wld be likeee. the fifth one? I think? idk I can do the math later).

Keep in mind that though Koro (and by extension the grandmaster) is the antatonist and villain, the REASON it exists is in order to help all of humanity (besides the ppl it tortures....), so the grandmaster is deeply invested in Helping People. Which is why after the war, the grandmaster and surviving Koro employees began probiding aid and establishing a new center government to rebuild society.

However, he's also deeply invested in Getting People To Help Create Koro (the two ways for someone to not b tortured is to never know about it, or to know about it and help create it. in The Grandmasters mind, it's better to tell ppl and help them create it than keep it a secret and rusk someone thinking of it themself or figuring it out and not being able to/wanting to help), so by being provided food and shelter, the ppl also have to help work on Koro (at this point, tho, that really just means rebuilding society since u cant work on it without. being alive.)

Having Project Koro and trying to establish a central government actually worked rlly well together, bcs ppl banded togethet at the idea of creating a benevolent being/god to save them.

That brings us to the start of the story, 500 years in the future and 400 years post-bomb, where Koro as a government and city is incredibly powerful, and Project Koro is near completion.

i wrote a full ask for axelias backstory to provide context but then i realized how long the ask would get . so here i am with half of what i need to rant over AJSJSJA

ANYWAYS axelia (my rogue tiefling who was a street urchin) and astarion are absolutely enemies to lovers in the same way shadowheart and lae'zel would be enemies to lovers !! they initially hate each other w a Passion but thats before they realize how eerily similar they are w their experiences and outlooks, and how the other can only really begin to understand why they behave the way they do

initially axelia hates astarion bc she has Issues with political figures (the start of her Trauma is bc of one bribed politician that fucked her already poor family over .) and while she wouldnt admit it easily she had a bias AJSJAJAJJ the only thing she really cared about when she got out of the nautiloid was to get back to her younger sister (hope). astarion would pick up on the friction pretty quickly and sass her right back the most to the point where its honestly a routine for them to fight and the only thing missing is either of them copying shadowheart and laezel w the blade at the throat

however. axelia got to know more about astarion beyond his facade . what really was the first thing that made her empathize w This One Of All People is how they both really dont trust/like ppl who display themselves as a lawful hero AJSJAJJAJ she grew up as a street urchin who was forced into that position bc of a guy who pretended to be good, and nobody would help her, a starving dirty tiefling child whos providing for both her and her sister, without smth in return ? so yeah no she Fucking Gets It .

time passes on and she develops an old married couple dynamic w astarion AJJSJSJA like still bickering but more lighthearted as they learn to empathize more w each other. fast forward to him trying to seduce her for the first time and it was a "might as well happen" thing for her KWNRKSJAJA she felt comfy enough that she didnt see any reason to refuse, and she didnt want to admit it at the time but she was def growing more unironically fond of him and his company

the more she hears about astarions story the more she gets furious for him and determined to show him that there are people who will fight for him . its the protective kind of love that axelia doesnt even realize is whats happening. she just knows that above all else, cazador needs to Die and she'd be willing to risk her own safety just to help astarion see it through

by this time theyre in a relationship w no labels AJJSAAA basically act 2 relationship. theyre both not exactly sure what they are to each other but they both know they can rely on the other to actually Give A Shit about them. while they both still love to argue and Disrespect each other its the fun kind where they definitely know its just banter at this point that they can easily use to team up on the others <33

act 3 comes and while axelia also gets the fear behind astarion wanting to ascend so badly she also knows that thats not a decision hed be too proud of if he could see the consequences now AJSJAJAJ so ofc spawn route <33

hhhhh so im on a ridiculously long ride home and just my phone so tumblr diary entry time lol. if you have my instagram this will make more sense but yk. anyways. so yesterday was the last day of the semester and i was tbh pretty normal abt it. but leading up to it i was a mess and tbh i think my stomach issues actually came more from the stress of knowing im leaving but the alcohol seemed plausible enough an explanation so i ran with it. but nah i was just. hhhh overwhelmed. bc anytime i was out with ppl it disappeared and as soon i was alone and not busy i was like. oh theres the stomach pain. LOL. but yea. so i decided my going away present to everyone would be a drawing of them plus a message bc like. i always said i liked art but never rlly showed my classmates my art so i was like. welp lets go out with a bang. and it felt good bc i really wanted to do smth like this sooner. my initial plan to make a good impression was to print stickers of my art and put my IG on it and get close to ppl that way. but i was just far too stressed and thought itd be weird. so i just. Didnt. and i regret not putting in enough effort at the beginning. but i also feel like its okay, especially given my upbringing. i needed that time to myself to figure it out, and now i really know that i can just. talk to ppl. and not be afraid. bc the ppl i got closest to were the one i swore would judge me most bc of my own preconceived notions, but i told the the parts of me i hid the most and they accepted it. and could at least sympathize and actually relate and i just. why was i so silly. why was i so mean to myself to be convinced that i was so unacceptable that no one except for those who already knew me could accept me and enjoy my presence? i was so silly. i wont do that again, but if i do, it will still be easier than doing it this time bc I'll recognize the patterns and quickly snap out of it.

in a way, i really do feel like i needed all this time alone to process myself and rlly look myself in the eye and recognize the ways ive lived that i can just stop doing now that i have the freedom to be free of my past. and part of me feels like I'm saying that as copium bc i didnt connect sooner and i possibly could have also had a better time with others and still have come to realize the same things and more through the help and company of others. but i also know that i cant live life always thinking so much. so i just need to live and let the regrets be what they are, and move forwards. but the regrets do indeed linger. like i made the decision not to stay in taiwan. bc of well A. money and B. i felt like if i had more time I'd just fucking waste it like i wasted the first 4 months. i might as well force myself into a corner and see if that would make me do things i was too scared to do otherwise. and like, it worked! i did say fuck it and rlly just let loose bc i was gonna leave but now its worked too well. and like i wish soooo bad that i had those 3 months to fully enjoy every chance working out. Part of me says that its best to leave with that hope. rather than have taken that chance and it fizzled out. the thing keeping me from extending the most was honestly knowing I'd have my birthday there. and i could not take the possibility of spending my birthday alone... i legit couldnt stomach it. in the past i used to spend every bday alone but in recent years ive had a mazing friends that actually made my bday special and i just. and last night i had a rlly good one on one talk with my classmate and that was amazing, but i got home and checked IG like a dumbass and say another group of classmates partying til 3am and i was like.... man i should've done that. but like, logically no. i had a great night regardless and i partied with those classmates last week. ive had my fill, and i had things to do today that i needed to be coherent for. but i couldn't help but thinking what if. and i know its not so easy to kill that voice inside my head. its always gonna be there. its not just me, thats the devil of SNS like instagram. bc you see the best parts of everyone's lives at all times and feel like you're missing out but you're not. you only see a sliver of what it really was..but yea. its okay. Yeah I get what you mean. The episode was fine for me but that was kinda it. There were some storylines I thought were interesting but I was disappointed they weren’t really delved into. Ted’s son bullied a kid, Rebecca presumably found out she can no longer have children, Zava retired and now Colin is back on the staring lineup, but instead of having these really interesting things focused on for more than like two scenes each we get half the episode devoted to setting up an ultimately futile and let’s face it, problematic, “relationship”.

I get ppl are excited abt Keeley being bi but I don’t get how some ppl are so focused on it being wlw that they aren’t paying attention to the fact that it obviously has no future. First off not only is Jack Keeley’s boss, she is the backer of her company. Meaning, Jack owns KJPR and literally holds the fate of it in her hands. So it’s Sam/Rebecca x100. Jack seems cool and hopefully the relationship really is just two ppl having no strings fun for a bit, but we don’t really know her – this could potentially end very very bad for Keeley. Keeley is not over Roy, it’s too painful for her to even say his name, and a part of the reason they broke up is bc she didn’t have as much time running a new company. And it is heavily implied that they will get back together, we even see them holding hands in the trailer. What happens if Jack wants a relationship? She absolutely has the power to destroy Keeley’s career if things go badly. What if Barbara finds out? She’s very by the book, I could definitely see her reporting them both. I’m glad that the show is letting Keeley be less than perfect and make (really big) mistakes but I am STRESSED for her! And I feel so bad for Roy. He really thought he was doing the right thing for both of them and I just want them both to regain their senses and just fucking make each other happy again!

And second: as a bi woman myself, as much as I loved seeing actual rep on my screen it was soured so quickly because I have no fucking idea what the writers are doing with Roy and Keeley.

Keeley has had a tendency to define herself by her relationships and what I’m hoping this thing with Jack is a) a fling which brings her back to Roy or b) a parallel to Tedbecca.

Neither of which serve Keeley or Jack although the latter would be much more interesting.

As for…everything else. It just felt like a filler episode to me. It was already implied Rebecca had fertility issues (I.e. her calling the psychic cruel when she brought up that she’s going to be a mother) and Zava’s whole retirement felt super rushed. I honestly expected more of a reaction from the players and Ted but we didn’t get one and we didn’t even get a realization that he was bad for the team.

Also idk I feel like a lot of the players have taken a backseat? This season?

Like there’s almost no Roy exploration outside of his relationship and we could get a very compelling narrative about Isaac but we’re not and I love the Colin storyline but it seems like it’s the only one we’re getting.

anyway bottom line, didn’t like the episode for a lot of the reasons you listed and more

cheol comes in after a meeting with a client to see a bouquet of roses on his desk. he loudly asks who did this (while ur not in the room) and if its a prank. everyone's a lil lost and he just puts them aside to give away later. other ppl leave at the end of the day, while you shyly approach and ask him if he liked the flowers and that you heard from seungkwan that he was pissed abt them. he realizes they're from you, and immediately softens up and says he loves them and asks why you sent them. you kinda dance around the subject a lil before saying you like him and the others kept pointing out how he was like... so doting toward you? and it kinda made you realize oh he likes you back. hes like ah. ill kill them later for telling you that >:( since he'd want to confess on his own terms ykno?

but you just kinda laugh and say that they were reassuring you--you had ur suspicions because cheol doesnt get anyone else snacks from the vending machine. well. except jeonghan when he begs and cheol tells him no before buying an extra snack for him anyway. you asked him once and he asked what you wanted and told you not to pay him back when you offered.
