The scene between Alan and Dean (traitor) at the end of ep 10 is so so so good.
Tumblr media
Alan, who sees his team as his family and his responsibility to take care of, facing the reality of Dean’s betrayal. And undoubtedly feeling partially responsible.
Dean, who was desperate for recognition and acted too rashly, facing the reality of what he’d done (even though he technically wasn’t at fault for the severity of the accident). And hopefully feeling regret.
Tumblr media
Both of them breaking down over what they’d lost in the process.
Dean claims he had no future at X-Hunter, but Alan saw so much potential for him.
Tumblr media
From anger to despair and the love for their little found family woven together through the years. I felt those tears and all the emotions that came with them.
The look on Alan’s face when he tells North to call the police. He knows he has to turn Dean in. But it physically pains him to have to do it. This is his family. Regardless of how f*cked up Dean’s actions were, it hurts.
Tumblr media
I feel like we don’t see very many scenes like this, in bl or anything really. Sometimes the people we care about do something irreparable. So often, we see the anger. The punches. The fighting. And then that’s it. Relationship over. Goodbye.
But that’s not really representative of real life. We rarely feel only one emotion at a time. And feelings are never stable, they’re always fluctuating. This scene understands that. Beyond the anger is grief. Because this betrayal means loss. Loss of family. Loss of future.
Severing a relationship with someone you’re close with is difficult, even if one of you did something to warrant it. Love doesn’t vanish instantly.

The first step to achieving a new goal; identity; a lifestyle is to overcome laziness. I am myself was and sometimes have my lazy moments; however, to really make a change and accomplish the goals you desire first starts with changing your current lifestyle to the one you want; the person you want to become; and to work hard for the goals you want.
Of course, with that being said, do not change your whole lifestyle in one day. That is overwhelming and impossible, you will just go back to your old ways and become worse. Others say to have a new goal each day; however, for a more stable and consistent change, have a new goal every month. For instance, this month you will focus on balancing your meals; and then the next month is to be consistent through your sunnah namaz.
Each time you make these monthly goals, it shifts your one percent better than before. And as always be kind to yourself if you ever fall back or feel like giving up. Change can be difficult and that is why it is also important to go at your own paste even if that monthly goal turns to a year. Try your best and have faith in yourself!
Inshallah these steps help you!

When you begin to prioritize Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala I swear your life changes. You begin to have inner peace, confidence, a burst of imaan and happiness. No matter who you are, no matter what your past is, dont ever let it stop you from becoming closer to Allah the Almighty.
We all have a past, guilt, a deed we committed that we are not proud of. But let me tell you something, Allah forgives every sin, Allah loves those who repent and try to change, Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala forgive those even if they sinned their whole lives, and Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala loves us no matter what.
So, who are you to say you are not worthy of forgiveness? I heard doubting your lord's mercy is a sin itself. That just shows how much our lord loves us, how merciful Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala is.
I sometimes do have that feeling of me not being able to be forgiven but please remind yourself how much of a merciful lord we have that even if we repent just now, we are forgiven.
The most important steps to focus on Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala and be better is to do the following:
Be consistent and on time with your five daily prayers (Fajr, Dhuhr, Asr, Mahrib, and Isha)
I know Fajr is hard for others or any of the prayers; However, try your best and pray to Allah to make it easier for you, to be consistent, to be engaged in prayer and to connect with it too, Start by setting up an alarm for each of the five prayers, strengthen your imaan by looking up the benefits of the five daily prayers; perform wudhu 10-15 minutes before (I tried this and it definitely made it easier for me to be on time and to be more engaged in namaz).
Perform Dhikr (Whether you have tesbih or the tesbih counter, always repeat Allahs most loved words like Subhanallah; Alhamdulilah, Allahu Akbar; La illaha Ilalah; Agstafurillah, and the 99 names. Even when you are working or at school--no matter where you are repeat these words as they are light on the tongue but heavy on the scale.)
Read the Quran (Sometimes life gets in the way, and we become very busy and that is why I recommend downloading a Quran app so no matter if you're at school or not you can read an ayat or two which is still heavy on the scale. And also learning how to read the Quran. No matter what level you are on learning how to recite the Quran, try your best and know that you can do it!)
Perform goodness (Try your best to give up those bad habits, those bad deeds and replace them with good ones. No matter how big or small those good deeds are, always be consistent with them.)
Make dua (For everything I listed, always make dua to make it easier for you, to ask for the things you want and need, and of course before you even ask for anything always repent and ask for forgiveness, as your lord is the most forgiving)

Mindset is everything! Shift your mindset to a positive one! stop thinking that you deserve every bad event. Stop thinking that bad incident was the end of it all; or how that rejection you got is the end to your happiness.
There is something I stand by and believe, and that is whatever did not work out for you is an opportunity for something better to happen.
Regardless of what is happening in your life right now, just know it is a test, a test that Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala is making you go through because why? Allah subhanahu wa ta'alaloves those he tests and is going to grant something way better. What you need to do is for you to believe something better will happen and to never give up.
Along with changing your mindset--change your mind set about yourself as in stop thinking your this and that, that your "ugly" or "weak". First of all, your beautiful and beauty should not define your inner beauty. Change the way you view yourself, just like affirmations think and believe you are beautiful, your amazing, successful, smart, and going to achieve your goals.
When you start to think of yourself as the person you want to become--you start to become that ideal identity. As you think about how beautiful you are, your face becomes more brighter, or how you began to think on how smart you are, you begin to work harder. Believe it or not but mindset is number one in taking action for change so please think good about yourself and life and shift those bad events to better opportunities.

Character is very important! By changing and improving your character, it overall changes your how you act and think. Character in islam is especially talked about. Following how our Prophet Muhammed sallallahu alaihi wasallam used to speak and his mannerism is an excellent example we should all follow.
Speak softly and to not speak unnecessary words (gossiping, lying, swearing)
Appear approachable (Have a positive demeanor and stop glaring at others!)
Have manners (Fix your posture, know your limits, and be polite)
Smile (Its sunnah!)
Know your limits (As mentioned before, being polite and to smile often; however, there are some people who take kindness the wrong way so make sure to be kind but you don't always have to be that cheerful bear. Make sure you are comfortable and know when to say no.)

Education is soooo important!
I know some people hate school and listen I hated school too but! School is so important--education is. Jobs now days only look at your education history and whether you have a diploma or not, which is why you should focus on your studies and go to school!
Others, including me, have had no idea what to study--what to become and at times like that it is very hard and discouraging and I understand. I finally applied to college after finding a program where it did not seem too hard, and it seemed like a program that I could like.
That being said, if you are having trouble to find a career path to pursue, write down your skills, what you're interested in, and what you are good at. For instance, you like to write and like to talk to others--consider Office Administration as you are required to write a lot. Point is, find your passions and research what career you could put your passion in to. And trust me, it won't be easy (pray and make istikhara which career path to take) but I believe we will all figure it out and find that career inshallah.
Take advantage on the ability to be able to study and get that education!
I hope this helps!! and remember to have a good day!

what to do when you've committed a sin
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
oftentimes when committing a sin, it can be very easy to fall into a state of hopelessness, extreme guilt, shame and anxiety. The Prophet ﷺ said that "regretting (a sin) is repentance" (Sunan Ibn Majah 4252), and this shows that guilt is a good thing - a feeling that comes along with regret that drives you forward to ensure you don't commit the same sin again.
however, letting guilt and shame consume you entirely to the point where you've lost hope in Allah's Mercy and in yourself and end up sitting in a place of despair is not productive. as long as you're alive, you can still make amends and do good deeds in the hope of attaining the Pleasure of Allah سُبْحَٰنَهُۥ وَتَعَٰلَىٰ .
here is a response I've already made to someone asking me how to let go of shame for past sins, but these are things you can do (in general, of course) but after making a mistake/sinning:
salat al-tawbah (the prayer of repentance) immediately this is the nawafil prayer for when one falls into sin and it is usually two raka'ats. pray this immediately after committing a sin with sincere repentance, putting that guilt into this prayer and weep and ask for forgiveness. regarding this prayer, the Prophet ﷺ has said “There is no slave of Allah who commits a sin then purifies himself well and stands and prays two rakahs, then asks Allah for forgiveness, but Allah will forgive him". (Hisn al-Muslim 140). subhanallah.
sadaqah ◦ give money to charity, create a sadaqah box if you do not already have one and put money inside to increase your good deeds over your bad ones. "Know they not that Allah is He who accepts repentance from His servants and takes their charity, and that Allah is He Who is Oft-Returning with compassion, and is Merciful?" (9:104) - Surah Taubah itself. ◦ if it is a repetitive sin, then say to yourself that every time you commit the sin, you have to put a certain fixed amount in. for example, £10 every time you do xyz and you must put it in every time. keep it at a high amount and it will help you in the future to stop, Insha'Allah.
constant dhikr ◦ i cannot even truly express in words the benefits of doing istighfar in a way that will truly sum it up. it washes away the sins of man to the point where his heart will be purified. it is so important to immerse yourself in doing istighfar day and night as it can protect you and Allah is always prepared to hear the cries of taubah from His people. not a single soul can claim that they can absolve themselves of sin on their own, as only Allah's Mercy can release a man of his sins. Prophets were well aware of this fact, so they also continually sought forgiveness of Allah. make it a plan to recite أَسْتَغْفِرُ اللَّهَ وَأَتُوبُ إِلَيْهِ (astagfirullah waatubu alaiyhi, I seek Allah's forgiveness and I turn to Him in repentance) 100 times daily ◦ i also love the app Azkar - it has morning, evening, sleep and waking up dhikr's that you can just recite while reading them on your phone that has the arabic, transliteration and translation. it is so easy for anyone to follow and so helpful in remembering Allah daily - i highly recommend everyone to download this app
make an action plan after committing the particular sin, make an action plan moving forwards of something you're going to do to seek the Pleasure of Allah and His forgiveness. for example, you tell yourself/Him that you will now wake up for tahajjud every morning for the next 2 weeks (and actually do it) and ask Allah to accept this as an apology and to have Mercy on you. that way, you can even build it as a habit and continue after.
nawafil (voluntary) prayers along with the fard prayers start praying voluntary prayers, like: - 4 raka'at's before asr prayer (The Prophet ﷺ said: "May Allah have mercy upon a man who prays four before Al-Asr." (at-Tirmidhi 430) - tahajjud - 2 raka'at's after the 2 raka'ats of sunnah after zuhr - duha prayer (after sunrise and before zuhr time) etc. doing these extra prayers on top of the obligatory 5 daily prayers will give you more blessings and help you weigh more on the righteous side of the scale
reading Qur'an daily with lengthy recitation this has so many blessings. it's a form of dhikr, the remembrance of Allah, and it helps you to gain His pleasure by doing so. make sure to also read it with translation if arabic is not your first language / a language you understand so that you can listen to what Allah سُبْحَٰنَهُۥ وَتَعَٰلَىٰ is saying and reflect and act on it too.
may Allah, Al-Ghafoor Ar-Raheem, forgive us all for our sins, accept our good deeds and have Mercy on us all, Allahumma Ameen.

Comparing Book Pin-Lee to Show Pin-Lee through Episode 6
Pin Lee:
Helps Arada get Volescu into the hopper (ASR 9)
Says “No. No, no, no!” while looking at the screen in the hopper then yells “Get us down there now!" after the attack, is worried about Arada since the show combined Pin-Lee and Overse and she's Pin-Lee’s wife this version. Runs to her, embraces her and helps her into the hopper.
Screams "No!" when Ratthi wants to go back for the equipment, and says "For fucks sake Ratthi!" about the same action. Then threatens "If you get yourself killed-" (is cut off by Ratthi inserting you will be very cross with me). (ASR 10)
Same as in the book, but combined into one line "For fսck's sake, Ratthi, the equipment doesn't matter! It's not worth your life.
Is liked by Ratthi, and is generally exasperated and throws things sometimes (not because of Ratthi) due to her being stressed by being under company surveillance. Possibly in love with Mensah. Flirting with Baradwaj. (ASR 19)
Is liked by Ratthi, but is married to Arada in this version and gets into a trouple with Ratthi and Arada instead of maybe having a thing for two different characters. Is angry about being spied on but rather than Murderbot tell us we are shown this by having Pin-Lee derisively call Murderbot "spyware" and get in Murderbot's face about it when it adimts to reading her logs.
Thought the data had been altered (in keeping with duel role as systems analyst) Is pissed off that data is missing (along with Overse and Ratthi she is visibly/verbally pissed). Wonders who removed it and asks if HUDSystem could have been hacked from the outside. Agrees to work with Gurathin to investigate further. (she's a gifted amateur systems analyst). (ASR 18 - 20)
Goes with Bharadaj to med bay and lets everyone know she's stable. Asks if the group is talking about the weird Sec Unit even though they weren't there for Guruthin to explain his suspicions, implying they noticed something was off on their own, but questions why Guruthin wants to turn it off. Questions if that's even possible given it's owned by the bond company and they wouldn't like them junking their spyware. (assumes that's why it was mandatory to take it rather than believing the explanation that it reduces risk and thus makes the trip insurable, but understands they're contractually obligated to take it and probably would be in breach if they turn it off).
She looks at the map data Gurathin pulls up and says, “There's obviously a pattern. The maps have definitely been tampered with. So can we please do something? Because my wife was almost eaten”
Finds discrepancies with the maps (ASR 23)
Finds discrepancies in the maps after Guruthin prints it. "Pin-Lee: Look, there's another blank spot. Mensah: Oh, now I see it."
Concludes the maps have been tampered with and when she receives push back says "That's Corporation Rim for you. High prices for shitty equipment.”
On the trip to check out the blank spaces on the map the following happens:
Is careful not to talk to Murderbot during hopper ride because she listens to Mensah about leaving it alone (ASR 24).
Does not see why the sattielites wouldn't have mapped the area that's not in their map data. Arada proposes that there might be an property of the rocks preventing the satellites from imaging them noting issues with the scanners, to which Pin-Lee responds "Because the scanners suck corporation balls" Supports the others in the decision to land the Hopper to investigate further. (ASR 26)
She curses a lot while trying to get the map scanner to work and sarcastically says "You think?" When Ratthi says he doesn't think that this is just an error (ASR 28).
Pin-Lee not on this trip in the show, so this does not occur. But we got them being verbally frustrated early, saying no!no! No!no! At the read out after the animal attack in episode one. We also get them criticizing corporation products while swearing “maps suck” “shitty equipment” in previous scenes discussed above.
Looks up the specs for the beacon and asks Aren't the beacons supposed to be triggerable even if the rest of comms are down (like an sos feature (ASR 30)
This line is given to Mensah as part of her asking Murderbot for its opinion on the situation. A good change because it shows Mensah engaging with it and valuing it’s opinion/not ignoring it like an appliance but treating it as a member of the team. Pin-Lee sarcastically says “great” when Murderbot says system errors aren’t unknown, keeping the sarcasm shown in her cut scene with Ratthi during the check out the blank spot on the map scene.
Talks with Mensah when planning to go to Deltfall because she has experience with Habitat and shelter construction. Ratthi and Overse also talked with Mensah due to their relevant skills and experience as a biologist/medic, respectively( ASR 31).
Goes to Deltfall along with Mensah, Ratthi, Overse and Murderbot (ASR 32).
Takes turns piloting and copiloting (ASR 33).
Still goes to Deltfall but we aren’t shown what their expertise are exactly/why they were chosen to go along (or why the others were chosen). Does not take turns piloting because they use audo pilot when Mensah is not piloting because the show dropped the autopilot issue plot.
Does not bother Sec Unit on trip and tells off Ratthi for bothering it.
Notes that the satellites had periodic outages/was tracking the outages. (ASR 35).
Same as in the book.
Is in favor of going to Deltfall "If there's a chance we can save lives we have to take it" (ASR 36).
Is in favor of going to Deltfall “Ok so then let’s do it!”
Deduces that whatever happened to Deltfall couldn't have happened long after their last contact with them. (ASR 36). Checked the Deltfall specs before they went there, Murderbot notes that she is thorough. (ASR 45). Talks to Mensah on coms when Mensah goes to save Murderbot in Deltfall. (ASR 46). Was going to try to work on Murderbot before it shot itself, but was piloting at the time, so Overse was going to take over flying so she could help Murderbot, but then it shot itself. (ASR 48)
The above does not happen, but they do pilot the hopper along with arada to squish the evil sec unit - so piloting skills.
Pin-Lee and Overse use the medical suite to remove the combat module from Murderbot (ASR 49).
Again, this is given to Bharadwaj. I like this change because she did not have enough to do in the book and I like the symmetry of her saving Murderbot since it saved her. Also her being in there sets her up to take Volescu’s place as the person Guruthin says agrees but doesn’t agree and without being a random person, Guruthin showed his findings to - she’s also a tech person. (And I don’t know if it makes sense for the geo chemist to also be a tech person, but it makes as much sense as having the lawyer Pen-Lee also be the tech person).
When Guruthin says he had Hubsystem immobilize Murderbot, Pin-Lee says there is no danger. Explains that shooting itself halted the download and she was able to remove everything and get rid of the rogue code. Doubts it could be a danger, because she does not want her expertise and work repairing it questioned (ASR 50).
Pin-Lee defended Murderbot from Episode one, in a previous conversation pointing out it has protected them. Same as in the book they say there is no danger.
Shushes Guruthin when Murderbot speaks up (ASR 51).
Does not shush Guruthin, show lets Guruthin have lines.
Looks around at the others during the discussion about Murderbot being rogue before Mensah asks it's name. Asks how it hacked its own governor module. (ASR 53)
No questioning murderbot about the hacking but some of this scene may be moved to later.
Exchanges look with people after Murderbot says "Ok," agreeing to continue to work with them. (ASR 55)
Same
Mensah asks her and Guarathin to shut down HUD system and she agrees and goes and does that(ASR 56 - 57)
Did not happen/if it does they will not be on it cause they aren’t the tech person anymore.
Overall, they cut out their tech abilities, but keep them being able to analyze data and notice things (the maps - logging satellite outages). They still swear about the corporate rim equipment, yelling a lot and getting in Murderbot's face about spying which really upholds the spirit of the books description of Pin-Lee being generally exasperated and not able to deal with the spying. Overall they are fairly intense, calling out people and raising their voice.
The characterisation does not seem out of line with what we get in the book.

Eid ul Adha isn’t just a day of celebration. It’s a day of sacrifice, submission, and spiritual strength.
Here’s a breakdown of what to do on Eid al-Adha AND the ITS massive rewards:-
What is Eid al-Adha?
Date: 10th of Dhul Hijjah
Commemorates: Prophet Ibrahim (A.S.)’s willingness to sacrifice his son for Allah — and Allah replaced it with a ram.
Also marks: The end of Hajj for the pilgrims.
---->>
✅ Things To Do On Eid al-Adha:-
1. Perform Ghusl (Full Body Purification)
> Start clean. Body clean, mind sharp, soul ready.
📖 Hadith (Ibn Majah 1315)
> "The Messenger of Allah used to take a bath on the day of Eid al-Fitr and the day of Eid al-Adha."
✅ Benefit: Boosts mental clarity, alertness, and enhances feelings of spiritual renewal.
2. Wear Your Best Clothes (Modestly)
> Look sharp. This is a blessed celebration, not a lazy day.
📖 Hadith (Tirmidhi 530)
> “The Prophet ﷺ used to wear his best clothes on the two Eids.”
✅ Psychological Benefit: Looking good improves confidence, mood, and creates a sense of occasion. You feel powerful — you act powerful.
3. Avoid Eating Before Eid Prayer (Sunnah)
> Fast from food till after prayer — reminds you of obedience.
📖 Hadith (Tirmidhi 542)
> “The Prophet ﷺ would not eat on the day of Eid al-Adha until he returned and ate from his sacrifice.”
4. Attend Eid Salah and Khutbah
> This is non-negotiable. Massive reward for showing up united in worship.
📖 Hadith (Bukhari 976, Muslim 889)
> “The Prophet ﷺ went out and offered a two rak‘ah Eid prayer and did not pray anything before or after it.”
5. Recite Takbeer (From Fajr of 9th till Asr of 13th Dhul Hijjah)
“Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar, La ilaha illa Allah, wa Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar wa lillahil-hamd”
Let your voice echo the greatness of Allah.
📖 Surah Al-Hajj 22:37
> “...that you may magnify Allah for having guided you.”
6. Offer Qurbani (Animal Sacrifice)
> This is the core of Eid al-Adha. Sacrifice is a symbol of devotion — not a ritual.
📖 Surah Al-Kawthar 108:2
> “So pray to your Lord and sacrifice.”
📖 Hadith (Tirmidhi 1493)
> “There is nothing dearer to Allah during the days of Udhiyah than the sacrificing of animals...”
> Blood doesn’t reach Allah — your taqwa does. (Surah Al-Hajj 22:37)
✅ Massive Reward: Each hair of the animal = a reward. (Tirmidhi 1493)
7. Distribute the Meat
> 1/3 for yourself, 1/3 for family/friends, 1/3 for the poor.
📖 Surah Al-Hajj 22:28
> “…then eat from them and feed the poor and the needy.”
✅ Spiritual Value: Charity purifies wealth.
8. Make Du’a for Acceptance & Gratitude
> Eid is not just fun — it’s a reminder that Allah accepts sincere effort.
📖 Surah Ibrahim 14:7
> “If you are grateful, I will surely increase you…”
9. Visit Family, Greet with Salaam, Spread Joy
> Strengthen ties — it's a Sunnah and a social investment.
📖 Hadith (Muslim 2554)
> “He who severs the ties of kinship will not enter Paradise.”
10. Avoid Sin, Arrogance, and Waste
> Don’t turn a sacred day into a show-off fest. Stay humble. Stay clean.
📖 Surah Luqman 31:18
> “Do not turn your face away from people in arrogance, nor walk proudly on the earth.”
Eid al-Adha isn’t about flexing clothes and BBQ selfies. It’s about:
Obeying Allah like Prophet Ibrahim (Peace be upon him)
Giving like a leader
Celebrating like a believer
Wake up early, show up for Eid prayer, give your Qurbani, spread joy — and walk like a servant of the Most High.

(A little more than) Six Sentence Sunday
Tumblr media
Thanks for the tags this week @nausikaaa and @thewholelemon
What's this? A post that's NOT entirely about ASR? A miracle!
I finally got the inspiration to do the edits that have been sitting in my inbox since January for Trails and I think this chapter is almost ready to go! I'm planning to post it after EGF wraps up (I didn't want to get in the way whilst all the amazing stuff for EGF is posting, this chapter is about as far from Baz's fantasy as you can get!), so look out for it at the start of March!
That being said, enjoy (a little more than) six sentences from this chapter (that I'm pretty sure I've not shared yet, but can't be certain). Simon POV.
“Baz is right,” Penny says. She’s tapping the pencil on the piece of paper now, leaving flecks at the head of her columns. [REDACTED] takes another long swig from his flask. “What do we know about this whole situation? The Next Blood, the ring, Smith-Richards—” The stench of cheap liquor fills the room as [REDACTED] spits out a mouthful. “Smith-Richards?!” he splutters. “You didn’t think to mention this earlier?”  “Am I missing something?” I ask. The brickwork around the fireplace steams and sparks flit about in the wake of [REDACTED'S] outburst, and I keep a careful eye on Baz. If [REDACTED] had been sat any closer to the fireplace the whole room could’ve gone up in flames.
Tumblr media
And now, because I have been doing a bit of writing for ASR, here's a few sentences from that, plus my weekly stats. Vanessa POV.
“It’s your choice,” I tell my father, drawing his attention back to me. “You can leave peacefully, or I can have these lovely gentlemen escort you to a cell for the next few hours. Either way, you have broken several MI6 regulations, and are well on your way to committing trespass.” “Excuse me?” I nod to the agents who each take one of my father’s arms and forcibly turn him away from me.
These scenes have been interesting to write. The power dynamics between these two are interesting to play with, and I think in this draft Richard is definitely becoming more three dimensional. It still doesn't make him a nice person to have in a scene.
January ASR word count: 13,736
3-9 Feb: 5,012 words
10-16 Feb: 420 words
It's been a slow writing week, and I'm not sure how fast the next couple are going to be either. I've hit a bit of a roadblock and I'm not sure which scene needs to come next, so I may have to jump around a bit and see where I land. Scenes from the previous draft are being remixed into different scenes in this one, so it's not a straightforward rewrite, but I'll get there ... hopefully.

For @thewriterbehindthefanfics and anyone else seeking autism diagnosis like me who needs a place to start. I'm not an expert, this is just the process I'm taking personally.
For mine, I'm writing everything in a word document. Tests I take screenshots of or save my results just for peace of mind. PDFs and Checklists get pasted into the document and comments written into them. (It was mostly a stream of consciousness sort of deal.)
I'm having trouble posting this so it'll be cut up into parts. This is Part 1/2 : Tests and Checklists
Autism Specific Tests:
AQ - Autism Spectrum Quotient (AQ) - Psychology Tools
Autism Spectrum Quotient
RAADS-R - RAADS–R | Embrace Autism
Aspie Quiz - The Aspie Quiz | Embrace Autism
CAT-Q - The Camouflaging Autistic Traits Questionnaire (CAT-Q) | Embrace Autism
These were recommended by various YouTube and resources I found. You can't use these alone to diagnose yourself, but they're good to take and point at your score like "hey, see this?" to your doctor.
Related Tests:
Anxiety (BAI) - Beck Anxiety Inventory (BAI)
OCD (OCI-R) - Obsessive Compulsive Inventory - Revised (OCI-R) - Psychology Tools
ADHD (ASRS-5) - The ASRS-5 | Embrace Autism
I read that these can be mistaken for autism symptoms, so that's why I took them as well. It's good to be proactive, I think?

Allah calls Himself Al-Haqq— The Absolute Truth, The Reality— on nine occasions in the Quran. Al-Haqq is true in and of Himself and in His attributes; His existence is undeniable and nothing else can exist except through Him. His words are truth; the meeting with Him is truth; His Messengers are truth; His Books are truth; His religion is the Truth; the worship of Him Alone, with no partners or associates, is the Truth; everything that has to do with Him is truth! [Tayseer al-Kareem al-Rahmaan fi Tafseer Kalaam al-Mannaan, Shaykh ‘Abd al-Rahmaan al-Sa’di]
The Truth, the Reality, the Just and Correct
Haqq comes from the root haa-qaaf-qaaf, which points to three main meanings. The first meaning is to be true, genuine, substantial and real. The second main meaning is to be right and to be suitable to the requirements of wisdom and justice. The third is to be established as fact, to be unavoidable and to happen without doubt. The forth main meaning is to be proper and to be in accord with the needs of the situation.
This root appears 287 times in the Quran in seven derived forms. Examples of these forms include haqqa (“proved true”), ahaqqu (“more right”), al haqq (“the truth”) and al haqqatu (“the inevitable reality”).
The truth is a value, whereas justice means the truth being put into action. Haqq refers to the One He acts in accord with the needs of every situation. He cannot but exist and His essence is unavoidable, every truth comes from Al-Haqq!
Al-Haqq Himself says: And say: ‘The Truth is from your Lord.’ Then whosoever wills, let him believe, and whosoever wills, let him disbelieve…[Quran, 18:29] … So, after the truth, what else can there be, save error?…[Quran, 10:32].. And say: ‘Truth has come and falsehood has vanished. Surely, falsehood is ever bound to vanish. [Quran, 17:81]
A Surah of Reality
Suratul Haaqqa (The inevitable reality, surah 69) evolves around many concepts of al haqq (the truth). The first section tells us the coming of the Resurrection and the occurrence of the Hereafter is a truth which has to take place inevitably. Then the faith of the communities who denied the truth is discussed. Then Allah, Al-Haqq, tells us that all men shall appear in the Court of their Lord, where no secret will stay hidden and the truth about every single person will prevail. Allah ‘azza wajal tells us that the people who worked for the truth will be blessed with the eternal bliss of Paradise, while those who didn’t recognize the rights of Allah and denied the truth, will be cast into Hell. Then the ultimate Word of truth is described, the Quran, brought through the true and last Messenger, the Prophet Muhammad salallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam. And Allah, Al-Haqq ends with saying the Quran is the Truth and is absolute and pure: and for those who deny it, it will be a source of deep regret.
These very ayaat entered deep into the heart of Umar al Khattaab radiyallahu anhu, even though he was not Muslim yet!
How Can You Live By This Name?
1. Be truthful.
Being truthful doesn’t just mean speaking the truth, it also means seeking honesty in all your actions. It means you can never hide the truth and you should abide by the truth, even if it is against your personal interests. Al Haqq Himself instructs us: And do not mix the truth with falsehood or conceal the truth while you know [it]. [Quran, 2:42] The Prophet salallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, who was knows as as-Sadeeq al-Ameen, the truthful and trustworthy, is our true example!
2. Advise others to speak the truth.
Speaking the truth and always being honest in your dealings with others doesn’t end just there, Allah ‘azza wajal gives us a golden advice in Suratul ‘Asr: Except for those who have believed and done righteous deeds and advised each other to truth and advised each other to patience. [Quran, 103:3] How many of us think about ourselves, but are not strong or committed enough to inspire others to seek and stand up for the truth? Do you sometimes hold back a truthful advice because you don’t want to ‘hurt’ someone’s feelings? Think a step further, a know that a truthful advice given in a wise way is the right of your fellow Muslim brother or sister!
3.Recall His promise in times of hardship.
Knowing the promise of Al-Haqq is true and firmly believing in this is an amazing comfort for the troubled heart. Whereas standing up for the truth may bring hardship, the promise of ease is true; verily, with hardship there is ease [Surah ash-Sharh]
Remain steadfast by knowing the reward of Al-Haqq is just and true. They tried to tempt the Prophet salallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam with power, but he stood by the truth and he conquered Mekkah 23 years after he was forced to leave it.
4. Ask Al-Haqq.
It is not sufficient to just recognize the truth, it is necessary you act upon it. The same goes for evil, you can not just recognize evil, you must refrain from it. For a believer knowledge comes with action. Reflect upon this beautiful dua:
‎اَللّٰهُمَّ اَرِنَا الْحَقَّ حَقًا وَّارْزُقْنَا اتِّبَاعَه وَاَرِنَا الْبَاطِلَ بَاطِلًا وَّارْزُقْنَااجْتِنَابَه
O Allah! Enable me to see the Truth as Truth and give me the ability to follow it. And enable me to see the falsehood as false and give me the ability to refrain from it.
5. Don’t be deceived
Al-Haqq tells us: And Satan will say when the matter has been concluded, “Indeed, Allah had promised you the promise of truth. And I promised you, but I betrayed you. But I had no authority over you except that I invited you, and you responded to me. So do not blame me; but blame yourselves. I cannot be called to your aid, nor can you be called to my aid. Indeed, I deny your association of me [with Allah ] before. Indeed, for the wrongdoers is a painful punishment. [Quran, 14:22]
Wallahu ta’alaa ‘alem.
O Allah, Al-Haqq, we know that You are the ultimate Truth. Guide us to live by and die upon the truth and make make us of those who advice others to the truth. Don’t let us be deceived by shaytan and his helpers. Make us reflect upon the universe and ourselves and witness the reality of Paradise, ameen!
