Laurent peeked around the corner. Sure enough, there was Auguste, sparring with the Akielon Prince, Damianos. Auguste is stripped down to his shirtsleeves, whereas Damianos is in his chiton. As far as Laurent's Veretian sensibilities were concerned, Damianos might as well have been naked. Just look at those thighs. He'd never noticed someone's thighs before, but at that moment, he was fixated.

Eventually, when both men were tired and panting and their swords were limp in their hands, Auguste looked over and made eye contact with Laurent. "Hey, Laurent," he said, smiling wide, "Would you be interested in sparring?"

Laurent's eyes got wide. Damianos was looking at him, his eyes were shining golden brown. He felt his cheeks redden. Meekly, he shook his head. He couldn't spar in front of Damianos. Absolutely not. He would make a fool out of himself, there was no doubt in his mind.

"Are you sure?" Auguste asked.

Laurent nodded.

Frowning, Auguste came closer. Damianos also stepped closer, his brow furrowed. Laurent could smell the sweat rolling down his muscles. He'd never thought that could be attractive, but now, he felt like he was drooling. As discreetly as he could manage, he wiped his mouth with the back of his hand. "Are you sick? Your face is red."

"I--- I am fine," he choked out, "I'm just--- It's warm out."

"Oh. Do you need to see Paschal?"

Laurent shook his head again.

Auguste's frown deepened. He dropped his sword on the floor and touched his hand to Laurent's forehead. "You're feverish. I should take you to see Paschal."

"No!" he insisted, pushing away Auguste's hand.

Damianos was frowning at him. "Are you sick?"

This was mortifying. "No, it's just hot out, I'm fine! I'll go back inside." His voice cracked. Very briefly, he contemplated impaling himself on the sword Auguste had left behind.

"I'll take you to the kitchen, we can get water together." Auguste reached out to take Laurent's hand.

Laurent jerked away, shoving his hands into his pockets. "I'll go by myself."

"I'm thirsty, too. And I'm sure Damen is as well. Aren't you, Damen?"

"Absolutely," Damianos said, smiling.

Laurent groaned. "I'm just going to go back to my rooms."

Despite Laurent's wishes, Auguste placed a hand firmly at his shoulder. "I don't think so. You look about ready to fall over. Come, let's go get something to drink."

Covering his face with his hands, he let his older brother pull him towards the kitchen, Damianos following closely behind them.

Anyway so Imagine Cassiopeia looking at Marcassin and going "you need sun" but he. STRONGLY disagrees with her and says he's fine and just is a little bitch about it

So she sweet talks him into spending an afternoon out in a flower field because she knows he won't say no

I THINK THIS IS REALLY SWEET and i agree with the whole hamelin people are ridiculously vitamin d deficient thing (they probably have some kind of remedy for it like supplements or smth. like the lung thing in the ds game)

BUT i also think this would mean they would get sunburnt RIDICULOUSLY easily. so cass gets marc out into a flower field and he enjoys himself but then he's Burned To A Crisp so she has to take care of him after (while apologising profusely. she doesn't need sunscreen bc she's immortal so she just straight up forgot)
