My proposal for the next iron man movie
Iron Man 4: A New Dawn
Slanted = voiceover, Bold = descriptions of what’s on screen, strikthrough = in movie but not trailer, no extra = talking and can see the people having convo
Clips of Hydra taking over things, people kidnapped, things burning, avengers are not available (as said above)
Fury: The world needs help, Hydra is rising and nobody else is around, we need Iron Man, and the only Stark Heirs are here.
Clip to Pepper and Morgan sitting next to eachother and Peter across the table in the meeting room, Maria hill I’m at the Head and Fury in a chair facing everyone
At the same time
Pep: no, you are not sending my daughter into battle-
Peter: I’m Spider-Man I need to look out for the little guy! *as everyone stops talking and looking at him cause he didn’t deny* I’m also not a Stark so like, *so so gesture w/ hands*
Fury: Ms Potts, Mr Parker, I am not suggesting to send someone who is not yet a teenager into battle, and I am not saying I believe Spider man should retire, I have someone else in mind, ever heard the name Harley Keener?
Flashes to Harley getting off a bus, greeting someone, getting coffee drink from a vending machine and walking towards his garage
Pepper: I’ve heard the name, all I remember is that Tony broke into his garage and then he fixed the iron man suit
Peter, turning his head w/ this crazed out looking his face: He did what?
Harley opens the garage door, sees Hill, Fury & Pepper there, sips his drink, closes the door, opens it again,
Harley: What the fu- (in full movie, he will get cut off by Abbie) (Hey Harley, these assholes sort of just barged in here earlier, sorry, Harley: why aren’t you at school? Abbie: I dunno, my parents are dead, ever thought of that. Harley: *blinks* wow, you’re so unique)
Hill, feet on meeting table, notepad or phone in her hands, looking up from whatever she’s doing
Hill: Well, he’s definitely got the attitude
Clips of Harley using the holograms to design a new suit, less chunky than the OG suit, more like peters, but still w/ all the stuff that Tony had. And then clips of him building it, and tinkering around,
Harley: So you want me to be iron man?
Fury: No, we need you to be iron man
and then there’s a clip of him asking Abby for a screwdriver and from the couch she flips him off
Harley: Can you pass the screwdriver
Abby: *flips him off from the couch*
Clips of world being taken over, Harley completing the new suit,
Fury: Hydra is coming back, right under our noses, they took Morgan, and we’re going to stop them and get her back, more specifically, you two are gonna stop them and get them back
Harley and Fury walking out the elevator and Harley sips on his coffee
Harley: me and who?
Peter: I think he’s talking about me,
Harley spits out his drink as he sees this teenager hanging upside down from the ceiling, Peter gets down and hold out his hand for a handshake
Peter: Oh I’m so sorry, are you ok? hi! I, I uh, I’m Peter Parker, Spider-Man, nice to meet you!
Harley: Harley Keener
Peter: Yeah I know!
Fury: great you met, now let’s get onto defeating Hydra
Big meeting room, where there are plans on how Peter and Harley are going to infiltrate Hydra, Fury explains a bit on how they’re gonna get the kidnapped people out.
Harley: So the fate of the world rest on two teenagers
Peter: Not your brightest idea Fury
Fury: *sighs*
Later, alone. Fury: Not my brightest idea, well you try to deal with a severe lack of Tony Stark!
In a dif meeting, finalising plans, Harley looks kind of bored
Friday alerts them,
Friday: Mr Keener, the security cameras outside of Abigail Keeners school show here getting taken by a black van which appears to have the Hydra symbol on it
A clip do Abigail getting kidnapped into the car and Harley looking pissed, Peter looking sad and pissed, Pepper is horrified, Fury and Hill look kinda annoyed but not really
Harley: This just got personal
And then shows the release dates and where and stuff

*Shadow of the Erdtree late game spoiler under the cut !!!
I’m going to throw up … it sounds crazy but. I think I know what the Hornsent did to Marika’s home village now. And why she hates the Omen so much, why Messmer shows them no mercy 😭😭
Please, look closely at the jar innards in Belurat Gaol… they look like Marika … 😭😭 even the brand on their forehead looks like a mix of her and Radagon’s current symbol (as seen on their soreseal)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
If my whole family were kidnapped and stuffed into jars because others thought it’d make them "good", I’d go insane, become literal God and take revenge on them too idk.
This is the text outside of her village:
Tumblr media
Have mercy. And the two items in the village indicates that Marika wrapped the whole place in a healing spell, knowing full well there is no one left to heal. Grief. Her grief and love protect that place all this time (before the village are two Tree Sentinels).
The only place in the Land of Shadow still bathed in Gold. And now Messmer guarded it with all his heart. Holy shit.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
If Marika came from a village whose ppl were thought to be inferior and should be stuffed into jar to be reborn, yet she went and became a God, while the Hornsent failed to reach divinity, despite proclaiming themselves “chosen people” (Stalwart horn charm +2)… yeah I can see why they said she betrayed them and that she’s a wanton strumpet. 🙃
Also I think the “seduction” is from the Two Fingers, telling her to accept being a vessel to the Elden Ring and it’ll grant her the power to avenge her people. Look where she ended up now 🙂
There, I solved the story trailer.
EDIT: you can find a Numen’s Rune in Jarburg 🙃
Me 2 years ago: haha why is there Numen’s rune in Jarburg? Aren’t they Marika’s people? So random ! 😄😄
Me now finding out it’s because Numens were the original jar innards: ….
EDIT 2: it’s confirmed in-game that the shamans from Marika’s home village is the jar innards…
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
the golden hair... be serious with me right now
EDIT 3: She was salvaging the remains of her people and made them the symbol of her divine ascension. their death and suffering would never be forgotten, and the day will come when vengeance would be theirs.
Thank you for coming to my tedtalk 👍
Tumblr media
EDIT 4: Update about the mistranslation of Greatjar description leading to players thinking people from Marika’s village are also helping Hornsent hunt down their own people. They are not!

my brother's best friend (pt 1)
pt 2 pt 3 pt 4
pairing: matt sturniolo x y/n
summary: over the years you find yourself falling more in love with your brother's best friend.
warnings: none yet
this is the first story I've ever written, so sorry if it's bad. anyway, hope you guys enjoy.
· · ─── ·𖥸· ─── · ·
(the first day i saw him)
"mom!" I ran down the stairs. "yeah, what do you need?" "where's Nate? he said he would go to the movies with me over an hour ago." I was beginning to get upset, Nate promised that he would take me to see Spider-Man Homecoming with him. "I'm not sure, he said he would be home by 5" she responded. I let out a heavy sigh before walking out of the kitchen.
I went into the living room and sat on the couch, aimlessly scrolling on my phone. I watched as the minutes on the clock slowly ticked by, my eyes flicking to the front door every few seconds. it had been 3 hours before Nate had finally showed up, laughing as he walked through the door. three boys followed close behind him.
"dude that movie was so good" Nate said as he kicked off his shoes. "yeah, I still can't believe the way Spider-Man saved the Avenger's plane" one of the other boys spoke. I coughed loudly drawing the attention of my brother and his friends in the entryway. making eye contact with Nate, his face flashing with realization. "oh shit, y/n I'm so sor-" Nate tried to speak, but I stood up abruptly off the couch walking to my room and slamming the door.
the second I closed the door I could feel my eyes watering. it was one thing for Nate to blow of our plans because his practice ran late or something, but for him to go without me even though we had planned this out ever since the trailer came out, hurt. especially since he went with three people I've never met instead.
I jumped onto my bed, burying my face into the pillows. I could hear four sets of footsteps approaching my bedroom before someone knocked on the door. I knew it was Nate because he used the secret knock combination we came up with in order to tell if it was each other or our parents knocking. "go away Nate" my voice was muffled by the pillow. Nate had opened the door anyway, "y/n look I'm sorry, I totally forgot that we were planning to go to the movies today" I turned to face him when he spoke "yeah, yeah whatever Nate."
I glanced around him, taking in the appearance of his friends, each looking similar, but I could tell the differences once I looked a little longer. I made eye contact with the boy who was standing behind them all, almost not visible. I blushed and turned my head away so none of them could see it. "you can go, you obviously want to hang out with these people more than me anyway." Nate gave me a sad expression before walking out of my room, closing the door behind him. as I listened to the sounds of footsteps furthering from my door I decided to read a book instead of wallowing around.
the next time I looked at the clock it read 12:37 am. I decided that I might as well call it a night and changed into my pajamas, which consisted of a tank top and a pair of women's boxers. assuming that Nate's friends had gone home by now, I didn't bother to put on something more presentable as I left my room to grab a glass of water.
when I walked into the kitchen I was met with three pairs of eyes on me, with Nate being in the bathroom. "oh, you guys are still here" I uttered as I went to grab a glass. ''yep, seems like it" the one with longer hair spoke. my back was to them as I filled up the cup with water from the fridge. once finished I turned around to face the three boys. "look I'm sorry, I'm not trying to be rude, its just that Nate promised me he would take me to see that movie months ago. anyway I'm y/n." holding out my hand to them. The one with a nose ring takes it first "Nick" he shook my hand. "I'm Chris" the one with long hair spoke, dapping me up. "and you?" I turned to the last boy, realizing it's the one that I locked eyes with earlier. "Matt" he smiled slightly as he took my hand. my face flushed feeling the electricity buzzing through my fingertips.
"okay well nice to meet you guys, but I'm off to bed. tell Nate that I said he better take me to see that movie tomorrow, I don't care if he just watched it." "will do" Chris spoke, Matt and Nick nodded along. I headed back towards my room and closed the door, still thinking about the feeling of Matt's hand on mine. "well this is going to be a problem" I mumbled to myself before shutting off the light and snuggling under my covers.
· · ─── ·𖥸· ─── · ·
Nate had brought the triplets over again, many times over the next few years. each time my crush on Matt grew a little stronger. besides that I had actually gained a friendship with all of them.
· · ─── ·𖥸· ─── · ·
a/n: I'm probably going to move this story on pretty quickly I just wanted to get a little backstory out first.
let me know if there is anything I can do to write better, criticism is appreciated

Disneyland's Rogers: The Musical, propaganda that turns Steve Rogers into more myth than man, and revisionist history (possibly) to a purpose
Any of my thoughts in this post could just be me reading too far into things. I'm very aware of that, and please know that this post exists just because this sort of thing is fun for me! This is a thought exercise where we propose "What if we live in a world where the MCU is actually doing a cool and interesting thing as a longcon?" If you have anger at Marvel, that's valid and relatable, but please don't get angry at me or imply I'm an MCU stan who doesn't think critically about the mouse. Thanks!
Tumblr media
Breaking news: I'm back on my bullshit!
A quick personal recap: I infamously hated Avengers: Endgame for a long list of reasons (and I even rewrote the movie). One of those reasons is that I've always taken issue with Steve's ending. But in the years since then, and as the MCU's phase 4 has evolved, my frustration at Steve's "ending" has turned into an ongoing and legitimate theory that the MCU could be slowly leading into a loosely adapted Secret Empire plot line. I know we've all been joking about Steve being trapped or about an imposter Steve since 2019, but uhhh, it's kind of not a joke to me anymore? It feels weirdly plausible at this point and so I enjoy discussing the potential.
You can find a full elaboration on that here, where I wrote out my "Steve was snatched by HYDRA" theory in 2021.
In that post, one of the things I mentioned at the time was Rogers: The Musical being in the Hawkeye trailer.
[The musical's] very existence is an example of how in-universe the stories of the lives of the heroes are being commodified, especially (in terms of how they’re framing it) for Steve’s. The heroes are no longer seen as people, if they ever were. They are, as Kate Bishop says to Clint in a recently released clip, more about “branding.” Sam Wilson will be redefining the shield moving forward in a Cap context, but simultaneously, the world is still enamored by Steve Rogers as a symbol in his own right. And that is ripe for manipulation as a Trojan horse to control public opinion… whether in the context of things like this by themselves (is the musical portraying Steve accurately, or is it painting an inaccurate picture of him the world accepts as fact?) or in future (is this propaganda that makes the public see Steve a certain way and continue to love him, to set up a fake or brainwashed Steve coming on the scene later?).
Now a form of the musical exists in full, at Disneyland and all over Youtube. Considering some of its baffling content – which I will break down below – this perspective seems even more strongly worth considering.
I have two main reasons for why I'm defending examining this musical so closely:
1. It is (arguably) an in-universe piece of media that has bearing on the MCU canon. It isn't like any other typical Disneyland attraction; its very existence is meta and it was in canon first. Obviously it's seen in Hawkeye, but there are also posters for it in several different phase 4 properties. It's lurking in the background indefinitely. So what can this musical tell us about what the wider public within the MCU is being told about the life story of Steve Rogers?
2. This Secret Empire graphic – which is animated in the center of the stage of a prolonged period of time – feels like a literal sign to pay attention.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Granted, this is obviously still ancillary material. 99% of the MCU audience will never see this musical, whether in person or on YouTube. But just because it isn't a vital piece doesn't mean it's automatically an entirely irrelevant piece.
They've given me an inch with that sign and I'm taking a mile.
So if you're interested, please join me on this journey :)
For the record, let me just say that I salute the creative team behind this show. It's pretty fun and the songs are catchy, the sets and costuming are cool, and the cast is overall very talented.
It's also fucking maddening. LMAO.
Why? Firstly, because of the seemingly deliberate ahistorical inaccuracies. We all know Ant-Man is wrongly shown in the Battle of New York, which originally "came from [the Hawkeye showrunner] and Marvel, as something to further aggravate Hawkeye as he watched the show, and also as a comment on how movies and articles and people always get something wrong." It seems like they expanded those meta nods, but most inaccuracies are now in service of glorifying Steve and Peggy's "love story." Yes, romance objectively makes for good theater; but again, I feel that this is worth examining considering the full context.
And secondly, Steve's ending is framed as an offer presented to him, convincing him it's the happy ending he deserves because he's tired. In my mind, these two big elements go together, and I'll walk you through the details of what happens in the musical before I tie the thought threads back around into some theorizing.
For your reference, here's a list of the main songs and story beats:
• "U-S-Opening Night" - the Starkettes (who are basically a Greek chorus) frame the show's story, and then it turns into an ensemble that loosely takes place at the Stark Expo. • "I Want You" – Steve's "I want" song about trying to enlist in the army. • "Star-Spangled Man With A Plan" – Steve performing on the USO tour obviously, and then there's a reprise with an added voiceover that (very briefly) covers the Howling Commandos' rescue + the war via comic book imagery. • "What You Missed" – Fury and the Starkettes tell Steve some pop culture things he missed while he was frozen, + they tell him about the Avengers. Then Fury goes down a list of other hero characters, including the Guardians? Doctor Strange? Wanda?? It plays loose and fast with time, because many non-2012 characters are bafflingly mentioned in this nonlinear Avengers list – including the Winter Soldier (???). • "Save the City" – this is the song seen in Hawkeye, with the civilians + the Avengers all involved, but it's slightly different here and expanded to also reference other battles. • "End of the Line" – Old Steve presents main Steve with the time stone as an opportunity for his happy ending, and they reflect on things together. (Yes, this is insane.) • "Just One Dance" – Steve and Peggy reunite and sing about their love. • And then there's basically a reprise of "Save the City," with the Starkettes and the whole cast closing the finale out.
Right out of the gate, let's address this: the main reason you're going to see some fans pissed about this musical is not only that Steve and Peggy's ~epic romance~ is made a pillar of the story... but also that Bucky's importance/involvement in Steve's life is minimized as much as possible.
And they took Bucky-related elements from canon and made them center more around Peggy instead.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
• For some weird reason, Peggy is in the Stark Expo scene. When a soldier is hitting on the Starkettes ("hey sweetheart, I wanna dance!"), Steve tells the soldier to show the ladies some respect. The soldier grabs Steve and throws him down, and then Peggy swoops in to yell "Pick on someone your own size!" and punches the guy before walking away. So she's given Bucky's TFA line verbatim, and she is given the role he had of saving Steve from bullies. There is blatantly no reason they couldn't have had Bucky still serve that function and be truer to "history," because he briefly enters this scene in uniform less than a minute later to announce he's shipping out to the 107th – and then he spins off with a date on his arm. (We don't see Bucky on stage again until the full cast comes out for the finale!)
Tumblr media
• After the Star-Spangled Man show, Peggy rushes in to talk to Steve. Steve is excited about his USO performance (???) but she urgently tells him to listen as she says that the 107th has been captured. Peggy apparently knows it's Bucky's division, and she knows Steve is going to go, so she tells him that she's already arranged transport for him. This is a subtle twist from the truth of how it went down in TFA, in which Steve recognized 107 as the number of Bucky's division, and his dogged determination inspired Peggy to relent and help his rescue mission. Here, Peggy is given a stronger role in the Cap origin story. And before Steve rushes off, Peggy sings a short untitled ballad hoping for their dance, so Steve pauses before he leaves to ask her to go on a date with her when he returns. • The most egregious Bucky-to-Peggy change of all is the song "End of the Line," in which the infamous Steve and Bucky line/promise (that broke Bucky's brainwashing...) is re-contextualized to be about ???? Peggy waiting for Steve in the past??? Old Man Steve and regular Steve sing it together. But we'll go back to that in a minute.
Again, I get it, yeah? It's for theater. Whatever. But in reality, the obvious logical truth is that Peggy is centered (to the point of taking elements from Bucky's story, and in turn Bucky is downplayed) because they needed to convince the audience that Steve going back in time to be with her makes sense. Steve's time travel ending had to be justified, so the Peggy and Steve "love story" had to be a pillar in this with everything else being given lesser weight.
And the inherent selfishness of him doing something as big as going back in time also had to be justified... which is why they do their best to convince you Steve fought so much he deserved it.
Let me elaborate on that by describing the lead-up to the "End of the Line" song.
Tumblr media
So, right before "End of the Line" is "Save the City" – which includes Steve belting "I can do this all day!" repeatedly, of course. It's the 2012 Battle of New York as the Avengers come together to win.
Tumblr media
As they begin to disperse, the song then transitions to a voiceover alert mentioning Sokovia being under attack by artificial intelligence (a.k.a. Age of Ultron). The Avengers group rushes back to center stage to say "Save the city! Help us win!" together for battle again.
And then things get fucking weird.
Tumblr media
Because the next voiceover threat is "Washington DC. Attack: the Winter Soldier." This is not accurate to the order of events! The Winter Soldier events were before Age of Ultron; the public of the MCU would also know this.
And suddenly on stage Steve is now in the center while everyone else gestures to him. Instead of singing with him, they're telling him "Save the city! Help us win!"
Tumblr media
Then, another voiceover: "Wakanda, under attack" (Infinity War) and again, Steve is centered while everyone else points to him. The ensemble says, "Save the city, help us win! Save us all from the state we're in! Got to hear you, got to hear you, got to hear you say..." as Steve is buckling to his knees under their pointing. And as the lights go down to one spotlight on him and everyone else leaves, he says "I can do this all day" one last time, but now it's subdued.
Tumblr media
The implication is that Steve has been fighting and fighting, people leave him or he loses them, and he's tired.
And then fucking Old Man Steve arrives.
He says "On your left," because yes, they gave him Sam Wilson's line. BATSHIT.
Tumblr media
So now there's two Steves on stage! There has been no mention of Thanos or infinity stones or anything up to this point! (I can only assume that's because in the MCU universe no one would want to be reminded of the trauma of "the Blip" – though it's pretty wild that they're allowed to know about magical time travel?)
Steve is baffled by Old Man Steve's arrival. I, too, was baffled by Old Man Steve's arrival.
As Steve questions how this is possible, Old Man Steve shows him the time stone from his pocket – and only the time stone – which Steve recognizes.
Tumblr media
OLD MAN: "You've got to remember where you've been to know where you're going." STEVE: "Where am I going?" OLD MAN: "A date with destiny." STEVE: “Destiny. So we’re the hero till the end?” OLD MAN: “That’s the thing about endings, Steven. They can be rewritten.”
Lmao???????
Steve starts singing about how he hopes this means they "win" and calls himself a "tired hero."
STEVE: "But sometimes I wonder, who will save the savior? Can we really do this all day? So here I am, now and also then. Just a man, looking back at where he's been." OLD MAN: "The road is rough but wounds are healed by a thing called time. You can't forget what's waiting at the end of the line."
Me, watching this: the fact that he says this out of the blue makes absolutely no sense.
There's a bit more singing, including "end of the line" repetition, and then Old Man Steve pulls out the time stone to essentially show visions of... I don't fucking know. Past, present, and future?
Tumblr media
That's pre-serum Steve, Steve with Mjolnir, and Sam Wilson as the new Cap. This is the only reference to Sam in the whole thing.
More singing, and then: Peggy's silhouette.
Tumblr media
OLD MAN: "Can't forget who's waiting..." STEVE: "I can't forget who's waiting..." BOTH: "Don't forget who's waiting..." STEVE: "At the end of the line."
At this point I'm like, what in the hell?
Did Old Man Steve just brainwash normal Steve into thinking "end of the line" is now about Peggy? Because uhhhh, sorry, that's what it feels like!
Then Steve uses the stone to go back in time, reunites with Peggy, etc. etc. finale.
It's truly some crazy shit.
[drags hands down face]
Look... there's a lot to unpack here, and there's a lot that gets me about it. I know this is dramatized for the stage! I KNOW! But the fact that Old Man Steve shows up to convince Steve he should go back in time makes me want to gnaw on furniture.
Another person essentially uses the lure of a life with Peggy to tempt Steve into doing this, dramatized or not. That is how it's framed.
It's a hell of a way to frame it, and it makes Steve's ending stand in even starker contrast to so many other things in phase 4. Desperately trying to go backwards when you shouldn't or to bring back a lost lover is an evil temptation, and it results in a trap or negative cosmic consequences for basically all of the other characters in the MCU.
• In Shang-Chi, Wenwu is tempted by the Soul Eaters beyond the Dark Gate. They use the voice of his deceased wife to convince him to set them free. • In "What If" episode 4, Doctor Strange becomes evil in a desperate bid to save Christine and he destroys his universe. Along the way, he tries to tempt/trap the good Strange who's fighting him by using visions of Christine, but good Strange knows she isn't real. • Wanda's grief and desire to bring back Vision leads to – well, you know. • In No Way Home, Peter trying to undo things is what causes the multiverse problems.
And the fact that they frame it as Steve being tired, so basically the argument is he deserves that time travel ending (just like MCU fans who defend Endgame say in real life)... Well.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
There's no way to make it hold up, especially because in "What If" they explicitly subverted that and had Captain Carter not go back in time despite how she felt she'd "earned" it.
Lastly, in this musical as Steve decides to pursue time travel as his course of action, he basically has the meaning or memory of "end of the line" rewritten for him. I refuse to not think that is some nefarious shit. Yes, it's not out of the realm of possibility that it's just some general Disney erasing Steve and Bucky nonsense.
But... this is on another level to me. I do think that it's a blatant choice that they had to be aware even general MCU fans would call bullshit on. Everyone knows it's inaccurate. "End of the line" is embedded in pop culture consciousness as being connected to Bucky. It just is! Surely that means it's not a stretch to theorize it could be deliberate meta commentary.
How, in the MCU world, would the in-universe playwrights even know the phrase "end of the line"? How the fuck would it be accidentally applied to Steve and Peggy? Not to sound like a crazy person, but who the fuck was rooting around in Steve and/or Bucky's personal business or their brains in order to obtain that knowledge and then remix it, and why? Neither of them would flippantly mention it in the public eye or interviews ever. So where did its inclusion come from?
Tumblr media
And in the finale ensemble, this is Bucky's line when he comes out on stage and salutes + points to Steve: "Don't forget who's waiting..." And Old Man Steve completes it with "...at the end of the line."
What on God's green earth am I meant to do with THAT?
Smh.
The vibes are fucked, folks.
The MCU public wouldn't know enough to say the vibes are fucked. The MCU public wouldn't know the origin of "end of the line" as a phrase. But us? The ones who know the "true story" via the movies? We can call bullshit.
Whether the creative team behind this musical did every aspect of this consciously or not, in my opinion the fact that they had to tweak canon "history" to A) make Peggy's involvement in Steve's life more central and B) emphasize Steve as a tired hero all works as commentary on and almost a condemnation of Endgame's frustrating ending. In a way, it's also what Endgame did with the compass and 1973 moment with Peggy as well.
Steve's ending had to be convincing.
It's theater.
And so, maybe the same is true for the in-narrative perspective of this musical in the context of the MCU world. What purpose would it serve to tell the MCU public a feel-good narrative about how all Steve Rogers wanted was to no longer be a tragic man out of time and get to make a life with his best girl? To frame it as being about how he fought so hard for years and so he earned a happy ending? To minimize and nearly erase Bucky's importance in his life?
Who would want to do that sort of propaganda, and why?
The MCU civilians are given this happy explanation and maybe don't widely question it. Who cares about the details or logistics if it makes a good story, I guess. It's a stretch, but maybe they mostly applaud it. Maybe they're happy for "America's favorite son" (not unlike people who uncritically liked Endgame). In a way, it's even a rehabilitation of his image (after the Accords) like putting the shield on the Statue of Liberty. And maybe they'd even be ready and waiting to applaud if Steve ever made a dramatically selfless and de-aged return to the spotlight or a position of authority.
But mostly, the public is being conditioned to not know or to forget that anyone else like Bucky Barnes or Sam Wilson would possibly know Steve Rogers the person well enough in the modern day to call bullshit on any of this – or on his hypothetical miraculous future return.
So. Sure, it's probably nothing.
Tumblr media
But what if it's not?

Mermaid/Siren AU series [ on going ]
Tumblr media
Drowning siren
-> trailer
The Avengers found an old abandoned HYDRA base, that had been cleared after HYDRAs existence had been exposed. At least they thought it was cleared.
It was the biggest experimental lab they had ever seen, the closest base to the ocean, full with creatures-dead creatures. Some of them laid still on tables, stripped with metal cuffs, open and already rotting. It was an awful smell.
But then they heard something beautiful. A melody, a beautiful voice singing unbelievably gentle sounds.
Walking into the building full with ocean creatures, they had no idea their life was about to change.

Hiya! :D
Do you read go fanfiction? If you do, can you recommend some of yours favorite?
And also your my favorite good omens blog, thank for making my days and being spoiler free!🙌
Hiya! :) Thank youu ❤. I do read fanfics, but I don't read those Good Omens ones yet because I am so far happy with the Crowley and Aziraphale in my head (can't really explain it well, sorry :D), I have written some tho, here if you're interested :):
I mainly write humour and fluff, if you read any I hope you enjoy :):
Anthony Janthony Crowley - my first a bit crackish fic written before the show came out but inspired by some things from trailers and interviews - mainly Crowley’s middle name - where Crowley picks Janthony and Aziraphale is trying to guess it for centuries :).
Crowley doesn’t read books - fluff and humour fic inspired by Crowley’s ‘I don’t read books.’ in the show and my own problems where is Aziraphale trying Crowley to read books for millennia, there is a twist :).
Five times Warlock wasn’t happy about being kidnapped and one time he was - Warlock centered fluff and humour fic where from a small baby he gets kidnapped and is always saved by his Nanny and gardener and what happens when he is kidnapped and they are no longer around :).
The Ineffable History of Ducks - fluff and humour fic centered on the ducks in the St James’s Park who are observing Aziraphale and Crowley for centuries (alternatively four times Crowley and Aziraphale helped their ducks and one time the ducks helped them) :).
The Shared Sigil - fluff and humour post-Apocaflop fic centered on angels and demons creating conspiracy theories about Aziraphale and Crowley and coming to the conclusion that the two of them are married :).
Angel, Serpent and the Avengers - MCU fluff and humour crossover where Aziraphale and Crowley (and their rat Attouile) get into another dimension where their power don’t work and make friends with the Avengers and Loki. Still being written, first 4 chapter out :).
TinyOmens - visual comics of Funko Aziraphale and Funko Crowley shenanigans :).

Ok, so I get that The Marvels made less than $50 mil on the first day, but like
A) It's 1 day of an opening weekend
B) The actors had been on strike for the last 4 months and couldn't promote it
C) I saw it and it was fantastic.
Were there questions unanswered? Yes, but you get that with any Marvel movie. I just don't understand the media reveling in the manufactured failure of a film that, despite less than a third of the promotional reach and only the first days take post-COVID, still managed to pull in $47 mil on a Friday domestically.
Now I understand that Marvel/Disney didn't do themselves any favors by creating a film that required watching at least 2 streaming series to really understand Monica and Kamala's back stories (3 if you care about what Fury's been up to), especially when one (Monica's) was buried in a series about two other Avengers (Wandavision). My wife and I went back and rewatched Ms. Marvel, she for the first time, and had to skip opening night. That's probably working against you Disney. I'm sure we weren't the only ones.
We still saw it, but nearly skipped it when we started seeing all the bad press. If we hadn't seen posts from actual fans talking about how good it was, we might have waited to stream it instead. I'm so glad we didn't. We saw it in 3D and it was every bit as fantastic as we could have hoped, though I still wish they hadn't put some of the Flirkitten scenes in the trailers.
If you liked Captain Marvel or the Ms. Marvel series then you'll love The Marvels

Kaiju Week in Review (February 25-March 2, 2024)
youtube
Brush of the God is finally out in the world, having premiered at the Osaka Asian Film Festival on March 2. Above is the most recent trailer, looking as impressive as ever. A more complete cast list is out too—Yumiko Shaku, Takumi Saitoh, Shiro Sano, and Shinji Higuchi are all in it. Haven't seen any reviews in English yet, but I suspect it's something special.
Tumblr media
Lots of comic news this week, but I'm giving Godzilla: War for Humanity #4 its own section because it continues to be so stellar. In the penultimate issue, Godzilla finally comes face-to-face with Zoospora—with the odds now thoroughly stacked against him. Ends on a great cliffhanger, with emotional catharsis reached but a world-class kaiju still left to beat.
Tumblr media
Every Monsterverse film has an obligatory graphic novel tie-in, and they've never felt more obligatory than Godzilla x Kong: The Hunted. Kong has the A-plot, taking on the Titan Hunter, a mech piloted by the owner of a construction company who (surprise!) lost his family in 2014. It's pretty amusing watching him get high on his own supply fighting second-rate Titans before an unarmed Kong dismantles him, but the character is just too generic. Godzilla's B-plot is just a protracted setup for the film. (I'm keeping my description vague because the identity of his Titan opponent hasn't been revealed in GxK's marketing yet.) I hope this is Brian Buccellato's last time writing Godzilla, as Fight or Flight and the first five issues of Justice League vs. Godzilla vs. Kong weren't much better, but I probably shouldn't be optimistic. Zid's art is unsurprisingly the highlight, though he's sharing space with Dario Formisani and Drew Johnson. Some stunningly bad scaling and weird-looking Godzillas on those pages. Note that the comic is only (officially) available to backers of the hardcover edition on Kickstarter right now; the paperback edition comes out on March 26, a few days before Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire.
Titanic Creations has released a cover for their Gorgo Legacy graphic novel (amusingly Approved by the Monster Code Authority). It's written by Mac McClintock and Patrick McEvoy, with the latter also illustrating, and will be 60 pages long. Releases summer 2024, with plans for two more.
Volume 7 of Kaiju Girl Caramelise also released last week, and while I was hoping to share my thoughts on it, none of my local libraries have stocked it yet. So here's a simple reminder that it exists.
Tumblr media
Netflix's Ultraman: Rising now has a poster and a June 14 release date. S.H. FigureArts and Movie Monster Series figures for the film have also been revealed.
youtube
Gameplay videos for Godzilla x Kong: Titan Chasers are starting to show up on YouTube, courtesy of early-access invites going out. Reminds me of that Avengers Alliance game I played for all of a week. And a new month means new Godzilla Battle Line characters; this time it's GMK King Ghidorah and a Biollante variant. They're also overhauling All-Star Battle Mode later this month, letting you chose 50 units to deploy against the CPU (so less underleveled four-stars and other chaff ruining your runs).

Do we need live action heroes?
Tumblr media
To me, nothing has ever gotten me excited quite like superheroes.
I remember way back to my 7th grade. I was 12 years old, and had an incredibly difficult time that year. I did not have many friends yet, transferring into a new school, and was struggling to connect to anyone.
All I had was in that huge building was my brother, who was off dealing with high school. My grades slipped, my friends from my old school slowly drifted, and I found myself running more and more back to heroes for comfort. Whether it be movies, comics, or animated shows, superheroes helped me escape what would be the worst year of my life that far, with most of my joy and anticipation that year surrounding one singular event.
Tumblr media
2012’s The Avengers.
All year until May I watched the trailer, looked at posters, and watched Earth’s Mightiest Heroes, Iron Man, Thor, or Captain America The First Avenger to get myself ready. I remember smiling, sitting for 3 hours in line before the film to get good seats for the gathering of my heroes, a culmination of years of waiting.
To this day, movies like Endgame or No Way Home come very close, but nothing felt like that to me. And while I understand part of it was me being a child, the MCU and other superhero movies have continued to give me comfort in the best of times and the worst times. They have constantly been a force for good for me and a way for me to connect to those around me.
Which is why I’m sad to say, things have been bleak. Not in my life, but rather in the content that has been seen as acceptable to put out. Several big companies have been fumbling the ball lately with some devastatingly mediocre chapters in their respected sagas.
Last year was an abysmal year for DC, as they produced 4 flops at the box office. With the exception of Blue Beetle (which I love), each other entry in DC’s last year ranged from forgettable to downright abhorrent (I’m looking at you Flash). I was a big fan of the last Shazam and was pleasantly surprised by Aquaman, but both felt like they were going through the motions instead of bringing us exciting fresh takes on the characters that made the original two films great.
Tumblr media
Due to the ever growing SPUMC (Sony Pictures Universe of Marvel Characters), we’re looking at a terrible year for superhero movies. We already had the perplexing Madame Web, with Venom The Last Dance and Kraven the Hunter to end the year. While these movies can have some fun performances, in general they feel sloppy, mismanaged, with subpar writing at best. As fun as it is to see Tom Hardy in a lobster tank, I don’t feel anything for Eddie Brock. And that sucks.
Tumblr media
Finally, there’s the MCU.
Now, if you’re looking for me to bash entries in the MCU like The Marvels, you came to the wrong page, that’s not what this is.
In GENERAL, I like a lot of the swings they’ve taken since Endgame. Shang-Chi is still one of my favorite MCU movies. No Way Home had heart to it and wasn’t just a cash grab movie. Eternals had a vision and beauty I appreciate. Loki has one of my favorite finales of any tv show.
Tumblr media
But they’ve been disconnected. It isn’t this seamless chapter book with a clear beginning, middle and end anymore. There is so much expansion with characters that we have no idea where they are going. To go back to just one of those I just mentioned, where is Shang-Chi? That movie was a hit, and yet we have yet to hear anything about a sequel or return.
Due to this focus on expansion, it’s hard to keep that connection with these characters if we don’t see them every few years. Where is America Chavez? Vision? Kingo? Thor? She-Hulk? This is a problem.
Tumblr media
Couple this problem with the fact that VFX workers are worked to the bone, movies are being filmed without scripts finished, an emphasis on a multiverse storyline that doesn’t have a really clear path, and what seems like a vendetta against using comic book storylines, the films and television shows have been struggling to connect.
After all these catastrophes, you’d think it’d be a rough time to be a superhero fan. But really, it’s never been better.
Animation has been saving us.
Tumblr media
To be fair, animation has always been respected and loved by the comic book community. X-Men the Animated Series, Batman the Animated Series, Young Justice, Spectacular Spider-Man and more have not only been people’s favorite superhero content, for many it is their in. I started by watching Spider-Man the Animated Series, and things have only gotten better from there.
Shows like My Adventures with Superman have reintroduced a new generation to Superman in a way that feels extremely accurate and fresh. It has also given us an incredibly adorable and heartfelt love story between Lois & Clark, something live action movies and shows really struggle with. Can you think of the last good couple in the MCU? And don’t say Spider-Man and MJ, because most of why we like them is because we like Tom and Zendaya.
Tumblr media
Other shows like Invincible & Young Justice deal with heavy topics, such as grief, sexual orientation, gender identity, and trauma all in a way that feels human and real. Invincible in particular deals with grief and betrayal in its second season beautifully, all enhanced by incredible voice work from actors giving it their all.
Tumblr media
Even the MCU has used animation in surprising ways. X-Men 97’ recently brought back the styling of the X-Men animated series, with the powerful messaging the X-Men are known for. With enhanced animation, a clear vision, and an emphasis on using classic comic book storylines, many are not only considering it a hit, but the best thing Marvel has done in years.
Tumblr media
Even it’s more MCU heavy animated show What If had a much better second season, and while it’s not as deep or as good as the other shows I’ve mentioned, it’s worth noting it was a lot of lighthearted fun during the holidays. Definitely check out the Happy Hogan Die Hard episode.
Tumblr media
Finally, Sony of all people gave us the best superhero film of the year last year with Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse. While everyone expected it to be good, I don’t think anyone expected it to be such an achievement. With incredible voice acting, a meta narrative about fans' relationship to the character of Miles, incredibly human moments and of course, a hero no one can not root for, Spider-Man Across the Spider-Verse easily will go down as one of the best superhero movies ever made.
Tumblr media
I remember the ending of the film, where our heroes are finally gathered, and Miles is faced with what seems like impossible odds, and as the music swells, Gwen Stacy asks the audience “Are you in?”
And that was the moment I felt it again. The excitement, the joy, I really was a kid again, jumping out of my seat excited to see Beyond the Spider-Verse.
So if we can use animation to tell stories that connect, that show love stories in a way we haven’t seen, action in a way we haven’t seen, utilizing and respecting comic books, all while drawing out incredible performances, why are we emphasizing live action?
I don’t think we truly need more live action shows of B list characters. And to their credit, I think studios are noticing too. Marvel has a few more animated projects coming out, and DC will be releasing Creature Commandos this year. But they will be putting out just as many live action shows focused on expansion as they have been.
Is it time to reconsider how we tell these stories?
I know no matter what I say, we will get live action. And I’d be lying if I were to say that many projects out there excite me. Superman, The Penguin, Spider-Man Noir to name a few.
Tumblr media
But I think it’s time we use superheroes to go back to their roots. We should be using superheroes to bring artists and animators to the forefront. Shows like Invincible, My Adventures with Superman and X-Men 97’ give us a clear picture of what superhero media can and should be. Story driven, beautiful, and full of meaning. Something we as people can finally connect to.
Thank you so much for reading! Please consider following, and check out my socials and other sites here! And let me know: What's your favorite animated superhero show?

Season 2 of hb does feel like a fanfiction of itself. Imagine if someone decided to take a wattpad yaoi fanfic into an animated show. I don't mind drama from time to time but now it's just a musical soap opera. Those big emotional fight scenes from new trailer are something I would expect in the finale season, but we're only in season 2 with plenty of villains behind imp's back. Will they just bring new villains and new problems in following seasons? ( I hate Viv's twitter, but I remember someone mentioned this show will get 4 seasons. ) Imagine if Avenger Infinity War or Endgame happened just after the first Avenger movie. The plot of demons going for assasination on the living world is so cool and interesting. I can imagine endless potential with that premise alone like since sinners come from different part of the world and with different culture and places their clients came from can put imp in different and unique situation, but all of those being threw away in favor for cheap romance. Sometimes it pissed me off when people said that the assasination focus episodes are the worst, and now the writers can find an excuse why they focus on stolitz instead. I'm so glad that they finally put effort into giving Millie's character even if it is just a short.
I've stated this before but Helluva Boss feels like a fan-fiction. Like, in every single way, it feels like a fan-fiction, the way plots are structured, the way conflicts start, the melodrama, the way the whole show is paced, etc, it all feels like something someone who just started writing their first fan-fiction would make.
And that's the thing, Viv doesn't write like a professional writer; she writes (and arguably acts) like an immature teenager with little experience in story-telling doing her first fanfic. And it shows in her writing.

The KaiAo script I look forward to the most in movie 27
1.Aoko will appear at the location where Inspector Nakamori was shot
I really look forward to Aoko actually appearing in this scene because it can push the film's storyline to a climax and at the same time Aoko's role will not be blurred.
2.Kaito falls into despair, images of Toichi and then Aoko appeared in his mind
There is a scene where Kaito bows his head and stands in the middle of the rain. Perhaps this scene will appear after the inspector is shot. Usually when we are in despair we often think of our loved ones and the most important people. Toichi is definitely the first person that Kaito will remember because Toichi is the reason why he is not allowed to FAIL, continues to avenge Toichi and become the most famous magician in the world that surpasses him. But I also look forward to the image of Aoko appearing. Because I think at the present time, Aoko is the only reason that represents Kaito's happiness, home and love. So Kaito will continue to fight for his own future happiness.(This can prove how important Aoko is to Kaito at the present time, it is also the strength that helps him continue to complete his mission.)
3.Kaito and Heiji talk about their love
In the trailer, there is a line from Kaito: "The person you love is there, right?" ”, I think Kaito was saying to Heiji. It would be great if Heiji asked KID the same question.
Heiji: Do you have someone you love?
KID: What do you think I am? I am also a person with a heart.
Heiji: So you already have a lover?
KID: Why do I have to answer this question?
Heiji : …….
KID: I don't have one BUT right now there is only one girl in my heart. (And Aoko's image appears)
Heiji: I didn't expect KID to be so in love too.
KID: Shut the hell up
I kind of hope for a short conversation like this between KID and Heiji :)))))))))))) (Am I expecting a lot?)
4.Finally, Kaito and Aoko appeared together
Movie 27 is set in a park surrounded by a forest of cherry blossom trees, so I'm still looking forward to seeing Kaito and Aoko walking around in that cherry blossom park. Aoko would just look at the cherry blossoms and Kaito would look at Aoko like he was the happiest guy on earth.
P/S : It may never happen but no one forbids you from dreaming 🥹🥲🤣
