Will I ever work on this more?? Maybe?? I Hope so but it's nearly 4AM and we only took it this far because my brain actually refused to sleep till I'd blocked out the first phrase so. Yeah.

ANYWAY, the idea comes from a few fics I've read where, as part of being the ghost king, Danny has to help newly formed ghosts to the ghost zone (if he finds them). Some of the most guttenching I've read being children. I've ALSO been reading a lot of banshee danny.

SO- there was some disaster that left a lot of distressed souls that formed a lot of ghosts. Worse, many of them are kids. Danny doesn't really have the time to seek out all the newly formed ghost children individually, but he dose need to round them up (as respectfully and gently as he can) and walk them to the infinite relms.

His solution? He sings.

Liking to research animals whilst having an irrational fear of an interesting species is. A very unique kind of pain.

Like owls are actually fascinating as hell, but the fascinating things I learn about them make me feel more and more like my phobia is far from irrational.

I have an affection for cryptid-like animals and thus it’s hard for me to maintain fear after a bit, especially if I’m just seeing one on a screen, but trust me instinctively I am going to scream the instant I hear or see one because those motherfuckers are nightmare fuel-

So, we all know that Shak Graa committed genocide on the humans, but why??? I always was confused as to why, with the canon reason basicly being he was bullied as a kid, so he killed everyone. I don’t like this reason, and made up my own.

So, magic is a natural resource/elemant in inner space. Basicly, it’s just a normal thing that exists and has always existed. Everything in innerspace has evolved with this, and basicly everything uses magic in some way to be alive. (Think of it as like, a vitamin or something. If it’s not there something might not really be affected, or it might get a little weak, possibly even die, depending on the thing.) Overtime, the amount of magic in innerspace has depleated, making difrent species become endangered, and some going extinct.

In innerspace, there used to be a few difrent humanoid/inteligant species other than humans, but they all depended on magic way more than humans did, so their populations dwindled and they died off. Eventually, only the lizard people and humans were left.

Since magic is a naturally occurring resource, humans of course harnessed it to make technology and other things, further depleeting it.

Shak Graa is a lizard person, (fun fact, They naturally have a longer life span than humans) and he grew up spent with biological parent till he was a young teenager, but then they died, and he was alone. Some humans found him, and took him in. They weren't good though, and he was bullied most places he went because he was different and weird. He saw what humans were doing with magic, and tried to speak out about how they were using what little magic they had left for stupid things, and it was killing everything. They didn't listen, and he kept trying, but it never worked.

He built non-magic alternatives, but most people rejected it, and kept using their magic versions. Shak Graa saw what was happening, and blamed the humans for his people and the other races dying, and decided to fix the problem at it's source. Of course, by killing everyone.

This started a war that lasted hundrads of years. Shak Graa leading an army of robots (droids) and some other humanoids. This in turn caused more weapons and military gear to be made for the war, causing Shak Graa to be more determined to kill them all.

hello loves! you might've noticed that banshee's lament has poofed off of my blog. i promise this is temporary as i am rewriting it so it can be better planned and more precise, as well as longer overall!!

this is my planned 'big fic' and will likely update weekly.

Hello there and welcome to my blog!

I’m the Crow of the Badlands and I’ve been a legal adult for 68 days now. I’m currently finishing high school and finding my way through life.

I’m deeply interested in media of all sorts and I currently hope to pursue a career in film. Music means a lot to me! I have a fondness for 80s music, so you'll likely hear me talk about that.

With this blog, I hope to chronicle some of the happenings in my life and talk about my experiences. I think it might be a fun way to ask those questions we all seem to have about adulthood.

Back in high school, I spent a lot of time in the library (Shocker! I know.) and they had a series of books about folklore and magic and such, and they were kinda in that 'Time Life Mysteries of the Unknown" books.

In one of them, I remember coming across a bit of banshee folklore that according to some people, a banshee's scream could put some people to sleep for a very long time.

I have ALWAYS wanted to use this in a story as a means of sending a character to the future, a la Rip Van Winkle, except for one problem.

I've never been able to find the book again, or even any mention of any such folklore on the internet, because I both don't trust my memory to have gotten that 100% correctly, and I also want the coroboration, because that is such a little known bit of folklore, if I'm even remembering accurately!, that I want to be able to point at a source and say see! I'm not just pulling shit out of my ass!

And I know, it's my world, I can make shit up if I want, but I do also love using actual bits of folklore, the more obscure the better.
