My Take On Evil Captain Marvel / Shazam / Shazamily
In an AU where all the heroes are villains, and all the villains are heroes, I like to think Captain Marvel is like the Poison Ivy but for the Magical Community.
So we all know Captain Marvel is the Champion of Magic, and as such he has duties, be it a hero or a villain. Now picture this:
Homeless Billy Batson, fresh out of being struck by a Magic Lighting, gets taken in by the magical community (be it the fae, a witches coven, magical creatures, or smt). He develops a love for the mystic realm and is thus more active as Champion. They have shown more love and kindness than any human ever has, and eventually sees himself as a magical being / well of magic more than he sees himself as human.
But then, tragedy, and he sees people hunting down members of his beloved community for the sole reason that they have magic. They see creatures under HIS domaine being captured and sold in the black market. He sees butchered remains and fur of his friends being hung as trophies.
So seeing as that there are NO magical protection laws, and knows deep down that Adults Cannot Be Trusted (if his time on the streets taught him anything, it’s that), he takes matters into his own hands.
He hunts the hunters for fun. He rips apart ANYONE who DARES hurt those under his protection. He destroys countries who normalises the destruction of the mystic. He sends plagues and lighting. Those so called ‘Heroes’ who try to stop him aren’t any better, for they stop him from doing his Duty as The Champion.
He gets noticed by a group of individuals who wish to recruit him (evil JL). He joins, not because he actually cares about their goals, but they promised to leave anything magic alone, and even help him take down his adversaries. Morality is something he has long given up on.
The Gods don’t care either. From their point of view, humanity has long forsaken them, and makes a point to destroy what they have created. Hecate is especially supportive, she created most of the magical creatures, of course she has a fondness for them.
Mary, Freddy, Tawny (who in this au might be a creature that Captain saved) and the rest of the Shazamily join in, as they too much prefer magic over humans. Maybe in this au, they were put into more abusive environments.
Fawcette becomes the center of the magical world, and is known as the most protected place if you are of the mystic.
It’s a shame that cursed Black Adam did not join them, his time trapped made him soft, and developed a fondness for people (it’s what his son would have wanted). And really, he ought to get over Kahndaq. Sure, they destroyed the country, but they had it coming! They were trapping a bunch of Gods!
Anyways, this is just me rambling. I might make a part 2 if the inspiration comes to me.

Version two
Jazz Smith has made Lex Luther cry on three separate occasions, though she will remain adamant that the first and third time weren’t her fault. The first time, he cried because she thought he was an old man who was lost and he had to explain in detail who he was. The third time was firmly on Bruce Wayne’s shoulders. He was the one who had bumped into him, spilling his drink on his suit. Jazz was just trying to clean up the mess. How was she supposed to react when she saw the bomb strapped to his chest? Panic?
No, she simply made a fuss and used her minor tech abilities to make it look like the juice had turned off the bomb, leading to her loudly wondering why he was stupid enough to strap a fragile bomb to his chest. She just wanted to shake him, not make him cry.
(After that day, Oliver Queen hired her to work for him. Dinah quickly adopts Jazz emotionally, with Roy acting as a big brother. Lian adores her auntie Jazz)
Samantha Drake was a problem child, according to almost everyone who met her. She was a goth child who hated acting prim and proper like their parents wanted. Tim was the only one who understood her, supporting her veganism and later helping her prank Batman. (She and Bruce were rough and angry with each other in the beginning, but they still stayed in contact. Bruce grew to admire her stubbornness and conviction, while Sam could begrudgingly admit Bruce was a good man when he wanted to be.)
(She and Bruce never spoke about the night where they sat side by side on the clock tower. It was Jason’s death date, the first one since she and Tim had debuted as Robin and Crow. They never talked about how Sam admitted she knew grief, and she let herself tell Bruce a little about Danny. Only Alfred knew that the two spent the night reminiscing, sharing stories and anecdotes, until they arrived in the cave. None of them talked about the brief hug, the first hug Bruce had ever given her. They never acknowledged that night again.)
Tucker Thomas never left the Narrows, forging a birth certificate that labeled him as 19, even though he was barely 15. Duke didn’t call him on it. He visited often though, always keeping a suspicious eye on Bruce. He didn’t trust the man.
(Damian was the only one who bluntly asked him why he glared at Bruce. Tucker couldn’t figure out how to explain it at first, so he channeled his inner Danny. “He gives off fruitloop vibes. Gotta make sure he doesn’t start going all crazy with things like cloning or becoming obsessed with green goo.” Tucker immediately noticed how much Damian stiffened at that, but he didn’t say anything.)
Dante Constantine was only a child in demon years, though he looked like he was a teenager. He was doing home schooling for the time being as John worked with the bats to get papers made. He was a social and happy kid, smiling and chaotic but nothing cruel or barbed.
(John noticed how his son stared at the stars with a longing nothing seemed to satisfy. He noticed how warily Dante stared at the toaster, and how the terrible nightmares that caused his son to sob for hours often involved names like “Jazz” “Sam” “Tucker”. Most of all, he never forgot how his ex mentioned that Dante’s soul had been older, much older than it should be. John saw it too. He was more concerned in the slowly healing cracks in his son’s soul.)
Tonight, all four of them would be attending a party thrown by an old friend of Constantine’s.
Let the fun begin….

Hey there! I just found your rogueish parents au and was wondering what’s up with Tim? Is that him with Ivy?! What’s their story!?! Really loving everything I’ve seen so far! :D
AA TYSM, AND YES HE IS!!!! They're next on my list to draw, trust
So with them, Ivy didn't take him in at a young age like Selina and Harley did with the other two but instead Tim was 16 when they became friends. His parents were still alive but often out of the country, so Tim acted as CEO while his father was away (this isn't to say they were neglectful, they actually checked in on him multiple times, almost daily - they were just rarely there physically).
He's always had a love of photography and eventually began to love capturing nature in particular. He actually begins many conservation projects and becomes mildly obsessed with keeping nature alive, at first for his pictures and then just because it's a good thing. One day, Ivy attacks Drake Industries Headquarters whilst Tim is there and she threatens him, going on her regular spiel about how corporations like his ruin the planet. Except he interrupts her, shows how he has been working towards the same goal and doesn't 100% disagree with her methods. He becomes a sort of spy on the inside for Ivy.
Eventually they become reluctant friends, though they won't admit it, to the point that they see one another as family to an extent!! In the end the constant exposure to Ivy, as well as just being a friend of nature, has him develop a VERY MILD telepathic link to the world, like Ivy has, and with enough begging the wildlife does as he pleases.

I’m sorry to say but I heavily disagree.
Not with Venom and Red Hood, lol. Everything said about them is 100% correct.
Meanwhile, Pamela and Erik have very noble intentions and goals. (One is getting more rights for mutants and preventing a genocide. Meanwhile, the other is saving the environment before it dies out due to overuse and pollution.)
But Magneto and Poison Ivy both suffer from thinking that the ends justify any and all means.
You see, they are absolutely right in their cases and reasonings. But, their actions are what makes them villains.
Magneto tends to kill innocent people, mutant or non-mutant, by the thousands (and that is taking it lightly) through his actions via his powers.
Meanwhile, Poison Ivy ultimately either tries to kill every human or turn them into plant people by force.
Hurting innocent people is never justified. Not even by the most noble of causes.

#magneto#poison ivy#red hood#venom#dc universe#marvel universe#we have a whole crossover here!#this is all in good fun#lol#basically#they are both like killmonger from black panther.#they are right#they just go about their goals in horrible ways

I’d be interested to read a fic on how you would want millers girl to go, without pulling punches. More akin to the script. The horndog in me would like it but it would also be an interesting story that isn’t done anymore because of fear of cancellation
Uhm, weird shit happening broanon...because I was thinking about doing this in some form or another earlier today. One idea is too easy, the other idea is too much since I've already got active story being written for UVC Miller's Girl 💀 (and am up to my headaches in Afterburn). So it would be another universe where the Cairo meets The Crush and Poison Ivy and all the movies Bartlett yapped that she said she liked (and I would throw in Fatal Attraction and Basic Instinct) but then churned out this piece of crap when she could've done an explicit homage to those movies.
...I'd start her off more unstable. Psychotic teen girls are never too unimaginable for film — they exist and we've probably all known or heard of one in our lives — and I hate that Hollyweird shies away from that trope/stereotype of the young seductress. I think that making her so unhinged from the beginning would amplify the importance of Jon's choices, too. Of course, the coercion of her psychosis might be a mitigating factor towards any of the choices he made...
I mean can you fkn imagine her stalking him after being rejected. Stalking/almost killing/maybe killing Bea. Under those circumstances I don't think we'd (realistically) end up having Jairo, but in fan fiction anything can happen LOL Aaaaaand I just thought of a justifiable way they could end up together even if she stalked/murdered Bea, she's pure fucking evil 💀🫠
BUT... I'm chained to Afterburn at the moment and will probably have to opt for the first, easy option. Meh.
UVC Cairo is actually pretty unhinged right now in real time, unraveling in Europe w Jon. She's much more anxious now that she has him. She'll grow out of it though, with his often fresh-faced cluelessness helping her to not feel so lonely (it's almost like he too never recognized his own maturity and became stuck mentally young; part of it is that he [subconsciously] felt like he couldn't relate to anyone his age because of his gifts/🧠, but now that someone with those same gifts has come along it's finally made that loneliness disappear). She's still only 19 🍼🩷✨
I'm kinda stuck on 8 but I also kinda wanna publish some Jairo 😭 I miss my Benson babies
#anon#anon ask#anon answered#miller's girl#cairo sweet#jonathan miller#jairo#jenna ortega#martin freeman#the crush#poison ivy#fatal attraction#basic instinct#do not kill the#femme fatale#or the psycho stalkers male or female

Everyone is totally free to have their own opinions!
But I do think everything is a bit more complex than what it's usually made out to be. I know It's not explicitly said here but the underlying conclusion of this thread is essentially "fuck veganism.” Which your opinions are totally valid! Feel free to think and feel whatever you want, feel free to ignore everything I’m about to say. I'm just some random person. I have no impact on what you think, feel or do. Scroll past this now if you want, and if you do I genuinely from the bottom of my heart, hope you have a great day!
But here's my dumb take…
I think we all frequently do this thing where we regurgitate talking points like "PETA BAD" and "LEATHER GOOD" that simplify nuanced subjects and end up pushing the narrative that animal products are inherently more natural and more sustainable than any alternatives, and therefore we shouldn’t even try to create alternatives. Maybe I sound like a fucking nut job, and I guess that's fine, but I really feel like a lot of these talking points originate from the industries that actively profit from us buying into them. Kind of like how the Bacon Mania in the early 2000s (that created fucking bacon flavored lube) was started by Pork industry marketing executives. (1)
There is so much rampant greenwashing going on. Advertising is a massive fucking industry all on it’s own. These companies pay a ton of fucking money to lie to you and to get you to buy their products. I’m just gonna quickly address Wool, Leather, and Bees and the massive amounts of greenwashing that happens for those industries:
Wool: “Animals raised for clothing, like the more than 1.2 billion sheep farmed for wool, or the tens of millions of cows whose skin is processed into leather. Both species, as ruminants, emit massive volumes of methane (the potent greenhouse gas that is responsible for about a quarter of global warming) and take up vast land areas that could otherwise host native, carbon-sequestering ecosystems.” (2)
Leather: Animal leather's emissions are still higher than synthetic leather and if your not getting vegetable tanned leather, there are still harsh chemicals like chromium that is used in the tanning process of animal leather, which is harmful not only to the environment but also to tannery workers, which if your getting your leather from Bangladesh, might also involve some child labor as well. (3) There are also vegan alternatives to leather that aren't plastic and are fully biodegradable unlike chemical tanned leathers, which again due to the tanning process is for the most part not biodegradable.(4) LEAD researchers also found that the global livestock industry uses dwindling supplies of freshwater, destroys forests and grasslands, and causes soil erosion, while pollution and the runoff of fertilizer and animal waste create dead zones in coastal areas and smother coral reefs. There also is concern over increased antibiotic resistance, since livestock accounts for 50 percent of antibiotic use globally, according to LEAD. (5)
Bees i.e. Honey: While yes agave isn’t good for the environment monocrops in general aren’t, Honey isn’t inherently better for the environment than some of the other alternatives that exist. The Honey industry definitely is not better for native bee populations. Honey bees are one of the only domesticated livestock that can roam freely and end up outcompeting the native bee populations. On top of that habitat loss and deforestation a lot of the time caused by industrial agricultural is one of the leading causes for the decline in native bee populations. (6)
Regarding PETA: I'm not going to sit here and defend PETA, I don't care about PETA but on veganism, the idea that PETA claims to stand for, I'll put in my two cents.
The current definition of veganism is:
"Veganism is a philosophy and way of living which seeks to exclude—as far as is possible and practicable—all forms of exploitation of, and cruelty to, animals for food, clothing or any other purpose; and by extension, promotes the development and use of animal-free alternatives for the benefit of animals, humans and the environment."
Veganism is a super easy target to strawman and to overgeneralize. It's an imperfect movement that rightly has a lot of things that it can be criticized for, and it should be! Thing's don't get better otherwise! But veganism's core belief of anti-exploitation is something that I think is a good thing actually! and It’s just so wild to me that, for the most part, everyone thinks they’re punching up when dogging on vegans and their beliefs and that veganism is some rich white American hipster shit instead of a radical way of thinking and looking at the world that dates all the way back to the fucking Indus Valley civilization. The majority of people in the world aren’t vegan. Currently vegans only make up 1% of the global population, the highest populations of vegans being in India. The US is not the center of the universe. I think it's honestly sad when otherwise totally radical people buy into the dominant colonial ways of thinking and repeat all these talking points and ideas.
Back to the subject of environmentalism though, 50% of global deforestation is caused by animal agriculture. It is just point blank, not sustainable. To not engage with these subjects critically is an active disservice to ourselves and our own interests! It lets these monstrous industries, that are literally eating our planet alive, get away with killing us for profit. The worst industry for the environment is of course fossil fuels, but the second worst industry is agriculture and then the third worst is fashion. The agricultural industry and the fashion industry are absolutely horrendous for the environment, animals, the people that work within it as well as for the planet. It’s not just “an industry with problems that can be made sustainable and more humane.”
Big Vegan™ is not the enemy, it's all these rich ass companies that pay billions to make everything as intentionally confusing, and as hard to understand as possible and they do everything they can to keep us from seeing how things are made and their impact. These corporations do not give af about us, they want us to not care as much as they don't care, so we keep buying their products. We’re all so fucking tired and too busy in our own lives trying survive. Its hard enough to eat sometimes let alone parse through everything you own or buy and make sure things are 100 percent ethical, but we can at least try to do our best and do what we can to try and reduce harm in the world, and to support each other.
If you want handy guides for ethical shopping, check out Ethical Consumer. It's UK based so it won't have brands from all over but a lot of their info and guides are in general really helpful. Here’s an article they did on sustainable fabrics and another on how to help pollinators:
https://www.ethicalconsumer.org/fashion-clothing/choosing-most-sustainable-fabric
https://www.ethicalconsumer.org/food-drink/how-help-bees-pollinators
Shop local if you can, buy second hand items, try to reduce the amount of animal products you use and consume if you are emotionally, medically, or financially able, or donate to causes that make a difference. Every little bit counts.

Ayoo just to preempt the inevitable dumb takes we’re about to start seeing;
I am PRO-WOOL
I am PRO-LEATHER
I am PRO-BEES
Fuck the idea of replacing durable, sustainable animal products with cheap, flimsy plastic that doesn’t bio-degrade. Agave nectar and other artificial sweeteners are expensive, labor-intensive, and destroy the environment to be farmed.
Do not buy into pernicious marketing campaigns pushed by dickhead organizations trying to stay relevant, like PETA.
