task force 141 + ice skating

Characters: Simon "Ghost" Riley, John "Soap" MacTavish, Kyle "Gaz" Garrick, John Price, Alejandro Vargas, Rodolfo "Rudy" Parra

A/N: screaming crying throwing up i have my two hardest finals tmmrw halp

guys we've finally got the gang back together

alright so let's be real for a minute

the 141 is definitely not the kind of group to coordinate an ice skating date outside of work

i mean can you imagine like six grown behemoth men at an ice skating rink with like some rando child whizzing around while half of them struggle to even get on the ice

yeah right

so when they do ice skate i see it happening while they're on duty

it's winter (duh) and they're up north so it's extra cold

the base they're staying is right next to a giant lake, which has finally frozen over

gaz was the first to notice

he was eating some breakfast (cocoa puffs) and he looked out the window and saw the lake all icy

and he pointed it out to price who was drinking some coffee and reading the newspaper on the couch

price got up to go check it out too (and u bet he did that thigh slap grunt combo men do)

and gaz was right, the lake was completely solid

and i like to think that the 141 usually has breakfast together/hangs out in the commons in the morning

so price asks if everyone wants to go skating

ofc most of them are happy to say yes

ghost needs some convincing but he gets there eventually

for some reason that base had a bunch of skates

but it worked out so no one's complaining

and don't ask how they had the right sizes or why they would be there in the first place (it's through the power of i have to sleep soon and i can't come up with an explanation rn)

so everyone starts making their way outside to the lake

alright time for some super speedy individual headcanons

simon "ghost" riley:

sorry but ghost definitely does not know how to skate

that's one of the reasons he was so apprehensive to join

it's hard to look intimidating when ur falling on ur butt

and it's not like he has a wall to hold onto

this is also his first time ice skating because he never got to do it as a kid

so yeah going into it he was pretty nervous

he doesn't even have the best balance to start out

but he's a fast learner and he was able to get the hang of it pretty quickly

definitely fell over a few times

much to the delight of soap who got to gloat as he helped him up

and ghost definitely said something like "watch your tone sergeant im still your commanding officer" to try and defend himself

it was not very effective

but once he gets the hang of it he can actually skate surprisingly well

he doesn't skate very long though until he goes back inside

much to the disappointment of everyone else

definitely skates with his hands at his side or in his pockets tho

except one time he almost face planted bc he couldn't use his hands to catch himself

so now he's extra paranoid about skating with his hands in his pockets (as he should don't skate with your hands in your pockets, it's dangerous)

john "soap" mactavish:

surprisingly good at ice skating

skated around a lot when he was a kid

roller skating and ice skating

so it comes pretty natural to him

he hadn't done it in a while but skating sorta like riding a bike in that you never really forget once you know how

he can do the like crossovers and stuff but not any super fancy tricks

def knows how to skate backwards tho

likes to skate super fast and then just go around in loops

laughs at ghost whenever he falls but ways helps him back up

he also had to teach ghost how to even skate

ghost was not very happy about that arrangement

but only because soap kept joking that ghost looked like bambi

ghost got his revenge though when after soap laughed at ghost for falling, he immediately faceplanted

and it was like a comical faceplant

his legs almost went over his head and everything

soap had to go inside after that because he got a bloody nose

in the end it was fine though and he went out and kept skating

soap's definitely the kinda guy to build up speed and then coast on the momentum with his arms out to his side

it makes him feel cool what can i say

kyle "gaz" garrick:

alright so gaz is a pretty decent skater

he's gone a few times recently with his younger siblings

so he knows the very basics

he's definitely a little more timid about it though

especially after watching everyone else keep falling over

for what it's worth he never fell over once tho

but he was also super duper paranoid about falling through the ice

he had to help out price a little bit too at the beginning

he wasn't very good at it though so soap ended up taking over

definitely is a more mild skater

he's just down to coast and do whatever

he gets cold pretty easily too so he's usually rubbing his arms or his hands together while he skates

also is really really really bad at stopping

especially since there's no wall

so he just kept continuously skating like the entire time

and then he had to coast until his momentum ran out when he wanted to go inside

john price:

alright so price skated a little when he was younger imo

he went on a lot of roller skating and ice skating dates back when he was a young adult

but it's been a long time since then and so it was kinda hard for him to get back into it

so he had gaz and soap help him at the beginning

after a while though he got back into the rhythm

and he started to get more and more gutsy

and started to try little tricks that he was able to do before

skating backwards, turning a little, those fancy stops where they like skid on the ice

at one point he messed up and fell though

and like a true old man he hurt his back

and lord was it a struggle to get off the ice

he had to get gaz and soap to come help him up

when he went back inside ghost was drinking some tea and asked him why he was holding his back like that

for fear of sounding like an old man, price told ghost it was nothing

the next morning though his back was super stiff though

but nothing he's never experienced before

alejandro vargas:

bro man's is actually cracked at skating

like price he definitely went on ice skating dates back when he was a young adult

but unlike price alejandro has actual moves

like he can skate backwards, forwards, on one leg, he can do turns, jumps

it's actually insane

like nobody knows how he got this good and he refuses to tell anyone anything except that he just went on a lot of ice skating dates

because the truth is that one year he had a crush on this girl who was super into figure skating

so he spent like the entire year watching figure skating clips from the winter olympics and stuff and practicing and his local skating rink so he could impress her

she ended up moving away before he could show her though

but he still kept on practicing because at that point he had just sorta fallen in love with ice skating

so yeah when he pulled up on that lake he shocked everyone

alejandro spent a lot of time helping rudy too

and yes they did that thing where alejandro held rudy's hands and skated backwards while rudy got pulled forward

i mean it's a skating staple it has to happen

rodolfo "rudy" parra:

alright so like ghost rudy's never skated before

he didn't realize they had a skating rink and he's also not really a fan of the cold

like i said before he tends to run cold so he needs a lot of jackets when he goes skating

alejandro had to teach him bc rudy truly had no idea how to do it

unlike ghost he was not successful quickly so alejandro spent most of the time holding his hand and guiding him

he definitely fell down a lot of times

wanted to give up at one point but alejandro made him keep going

and it was worth it because pretty soon after that he started to get the hang of it

he actually really enjoys ice skating

what can i say it makes him feel like elsa

definitely jokingly did elsa's hand movements and pretended he was controlling the ice or something

he had to start off skating super duper slow though because he was really nervous about falling

but by the end he was able to speed up and live his ice queen dreams

frost giant loki hc’s:

(these hc’s are set AFTER odin reveals his real origins)

Since Loki has no recollection of his time in Joutunheim (bc duh baby) he secretly travels back…part of him hates that odin tool him…but the other part is forever grateful.

Loki would use every spell in his book to rid him of being a frost giant, but he almost dies trying. he cries for 3 days straight. and he’s still not ok.

Ever since the reality of himself sunk in…he decided to walk in his own skin for a day…just to give it a try. Everyone was repulsed by him, even Thor. All except Frigga. Forst Giant Loki loves her.

He sleeps with a heating blanket. Loki started sleeping in his Joutun form but he still can’t live with how cold his true form is.

Frost Giant Loki…makes snow castles in his room, and when he feels like it, he’ll send ice candies to the kids that live on Asgard.

Loki thinks Thor is an idiot if he doesn’t notice how abundantly different he treats him in his normal form, versus his Frost Giant Form…

Loki gets nightmares more often, he was always told of the monsters of Joutunheim that do awful things…and now that he knows…his mind is filled with so much fear and pain.

Frost Giant Loki doesn’t say this, but when summer time in Asgard rolls around, he hides away in his chambers. He’ll make some excuse like he is sick or tired or busy, but in reality, the sun burns his skin leaving scars and blisters.

He still gets shamed by Odin on some days and the anger he feels transfers into small snow storms.

With his newfound power, Loki is slowly learning how to combine the magic and spells his mother taught him with the power of ice and snow he now has. Frigga is amazed by the things he can do and it very proud of him.

He stares at the mirror longer these days, not out of fear, but out of adoration as he learns to love himself.

more stobin head canons bc I love them and I miss them

- ice cream runs at night are a regular thing for them but sometimes steve wont get anything but still takes robin because he knows she wants some. she always gets mad when he doesn't get any because she only wants some if he gets some

- jonathan teaches Steve photography (because trauma bonded them together and now they decided to try and actually bond over similar interests idk) and every once in a while, they’ll go and take pictures outside together (robin of course goes with them) and steve ends up mostly taking pictures of robin and jonathan because he loves to capture people’s beauty and shit like that

- robin and argyle become really close after a night of smoking on steve’s roof and she tells him what happened when she and steve were drugged and although he remembers every detail she tells him, he keeps it to himself and pretends like it was just a made up story because robin said that no one else really knows what happened

- steve decides that he really wants to get a dog but robin is more of a cat person. they end up getting one of each. after looking at the local adoption center, steve adopts a golden retriever named buddy and robin gets senior orange cat named tuna

- they get fired from family video towards the beginning of summer. luckily they get jobs as camp counselors for the summer. steve is adored by all of the campers and robin just doesn’t really want to be there but they end up having the time of their lives. robin meets another camp counselor, amber, who also turns out to like girls and they really like each other. they have sex in the woods and it’s robin’s first time and she’s so nervous. she doesn’t speak to amber for the next few days after because she doesn’t really know where to go from there. meanwhile that same night steve hosted a huge talent show for all of the counselors and it went so well. he’s excited that his best friend finally slept with a girl she liked but really he’s just upset that she missed his talent show

- some more jobs they had together are waiter and line cook, servers at the drive-in, receptionists, and bartenders once they were both 21

- bartending lasted a lot longer than the others, a whole 2 years. one day robin was just fed up with working there and being treated poorly and the second she put in her resignation, steve signed his name at the bottom and quit too

- steve sometimes gets an attitude with robin because she likes to leave their apartment messy and it drives steve insane. he feels like a housewife that isn’t appreciated enough but robin doesn’t mean any harm, she really just has a hard time tidying after herself

- matching scoops tattoos duh but also steve gets robin’s converse tatted on his inner forearm and robin gets steve’s sunglasses above her knee

- family dinner nights become a regular thing. steve actually loves to cook but didn’t like to cook just for himself. he makes robin help with the simple things like peeling potatoes and mixing sauces. they invite everyone over, joyce and hopper too. dustin complains that it’s not chicken nuggets. max makes fun of steve for being a good cook. el begs steve to teach her how to cook. and steve loves every minute of it

- robin is absolutely insufferable when she's sick, she thinks she's dying every time. steve laughs at her for being dramatic but actually likes taking care of her when she’s sick because she’s forced to take things easy

- steve on the other hand refuses to acknowledge when he’s sick. robin will do everything in her power to prove that he needs to rest but he always says “sickness is for the weak, I am strong”

which member sparked your interest first?

i’m having the toughest time now but here we go

bts : JUNGKOOK! who else other than our used one of the main rappers (WE LOST TO RAPPER JUNGKOOK BEFORE 2015 AND IM STILL BITTER but out of honesty that sadnesses washed away the moment when he decided to birth outro : love is not over and let’s just say i’ve never been fine since then) bro has been an all-rounder since day one and to that he was the one that made me to discover bts (touché)

txt : yeonjun (duh) i was once a bts popper so the moment we were getting a new boy group under bh i just knew i had to check them out. i mean yeonjun is literally every moa’s first love so it’s almost understandable for him to be the first member for you to be interested to LOL

le sserafim : huh to the yunjin (are we serious? that woman slayed on her first day job) it’s mesmerising to see that source music *blood coughing* decided to give us a closure…………… but miss it girl yunjin, duh she’s a starstruck i know it’s getting out of the phrase but i’ll always be grateful that she becomes an idol. the world (read kpop) wouldn’t be the same without her existence.

nct dream : mark! bc he was one of the members that were introduced first as part of the nct u sub-unit. i first watched him performing the 7th sense debut performance on music bank and was surprised to see him in the other remaining sub-unit under sm (but then i figured it out that nct IS a group that consists few sub-unit) (i was confused, still am)

riize : wonbin. any attractive man with long hair never not makes me HOOKED on a first sight. he’s majestic. AS HELL. he plays the guitar very well too??

aespa : karina!! also i think this was everyone’s normal occurrences of having karina as the first member that sparked your interest in aespa bc same. i only know her first in aespa like she’s mentioned in every fic or edit or on stan twt like… she’s everywhere it’s crazy. (the power she holds)

what makes them your current bias?

bts : I KNOW CRAZY. i’ve been there for hobi since 2014 esp around those times when no one was there to appreciate him truly as one of the members (DARK TIMES FOR ME, we do not talk about that) but then 2017 yoongi came in. it’s just something about yoongi himself that soothes my soul in peace. the way he thought of things in his own perspective without disrespecting anybody and the way he’s just a full walking comfort a person could be for anyone, for me particularly. his godly, incredible amount of times he’d shown off his talent in rap, producing and things he’d done. i can talk about yoongi that people wouldn't be able to understand bc he’s so ?? what a person is supposed to be. is there anything to prove why i decided to change a bias?

txt : when soobin was introduced as the second member of txt (gurl) when i told you that soobin introduction film was… a first love at sight moment, it was true. soobin has been the love of my fucking life since then. actually no there’s so many things that i love about soobin. so many things, it’s unexplainable. i can confidently say that his voice caught me off-guard on a first listen. i know it’s dramatic as hell (ANYTHING I SAY ABOUT MY BIASES ARE SO QUESTIONABLE BUT I AM BEING SERIOUS) he has the rarest vocal on his falsetto? he’s doing it effortlessly too? if that’s not enough to actually prove my point of him being my bias then idk what is. man is majestic as hell too. (BONUS POINT!)

le sserafim : AAAAHHHHHHHHHHH god chaewon… honestly, i wasn’t a wiz*one bc produce 48 was shitty as hell. (I WATCHED EVERY MNET SURVIVAL SHOW EXCEPT FOR THIS) neither do i like the final debut lineup for iz*one. i just couldn’t pinpoint what was missing but that’s not the point of that rn. well. for me, i think the majority of people would have agreed with me about this but chaewon is better off with le sserafim. (AUDIENCE GASP) i COULD NEVER say that she caught my attention even the tiniest bit when she was in iz*one, but she did ON A FIRST SIGHT OF HER DEBUT IN LE SSERAFIM. the way that she kept on improving and i didn’t even know that she can dance so well???? (this woman is literally everyone’s type and it’s FUCKING understandable) i watched their documentary too and i love her even much more than i should’ve? i think having chaewon as my bias, it’s emotional. i am emotionally attached to her and i don’t want to seek therapy.

enhypen : *internally crying, hysterically screaming* are we ready to hear the part of me losing almost entirely of my sanity? i was away from home for the first time for my college, and never really bothered to get updated with my kpop life. those days were.. hectic (as everyone did) but long short story i was on tiktok, at my room, at home since for so long, AFTER my hectic first sem and i just so happened to stumble upon a sunghoon edit on an ice rink, skating WITH THE TIMOTHEE TREND SONG (2020 WAS 4 YEARS AGO TOO?? GOD) AND IM LIKE ??? WHO IS THIS? I NEED TO KNOW WHO IS HE. yk i haven’t watched iland yet at that time (and probably shouldn’t so that i wouldn’t have to endure the trauma that show gave me), and only decided to watch it bc of him. I JUST LOVE LOVE skater park sunghoon a lot more than myself (that should be considered as normal btw) and i never regretted checking out on iland bc if i don’t i wouldn’t have known just how unique his talent is? you can ACTUALLY tell he has the most unique way of dancing, as if he’s dancing with every bit of his skating method and combining it to his dancing style and it’s just ?? beautiful… god park sunghoon i love him a lot.

nct dream : crying as i type this, i love renjun a lot. man is so demonically pure. i haven’t been on nct shit for SO LONG until last year (only applicable for nct dream) and i am attached as shit as they wanted me to be. i think re-stanning nct dream (i will say this forever if i’ve to prove how much they mean to me) was the peak of the third quarter of my life last year. but as for renjun, he’s just so easy to love? for me, his own persona to things as a person always never makes me so deeply attached. (like the fucking loser i am) renjun have a lot of things you can say a lot of things to, like his vocals? (ik you can confidently say that sm has the most vocals out of that shitty company) but i LOVE to listen to his voice. he’s singing with his emotions and my soul thaws in silence every time. HES ALSO SO ROMANTIC LIKE??? MAN CASUALLY JUST ASKED HIS TEAMMATES TO HAVE A MATCHING FRIENDSHIP RINGS LIKE?

riize : as for sungchan, i think i'm still learning about him. I know i’ve seen him a few times (more than 10 times on screen as for the appearance of the inkigayo and being part of nct) but i still have a lot of things to learn before i can list things down. (gurl you’re in love with another member)

aespa : i love everything about ning yizhuo. i honestly have no idea how i changed my bias but i could never say no to people who can sing well. her vocals?? i can listen to her singing on a daily basis. shes a stunner, a mother=my type. well, her whole existence stands out the most when i first discovered aespa. i just love ningning, she’s so loveable, i love her except for she idolized that one problematic rat.

Kari stood in the sunlight outside the ice rink, eyes closed and face tilted towards the sun. She leant back against the bollard, headphones crooked on her head as she listened out for anyone approaching alongside the upbeat music that had been on repeat since leaving the house that morning.

It was warm enough that it did finally feel like summer, now that it was the end of June.

And they were about to spend time inside, in the cold, because they’d agreed to this.

QUIET (Forget to Fall)

Sam – another of the foster children, still in uniform though her tie was already off and the top buttons of her shirt were undone – appeared in the doorway to the sitting room and stopped there, seeing Brendan.

When Brendan looked up, she frowned and gestured at Kari, mouthing ‘Is she ok?’

Brendan shook his head and gestured at her to leave them alone.

Sam nodded and pulled the door shut as quietly as she could, heading off the other kids that were returning from school.

DRY (Soul of the Party)

“Ah, what’s life without a little danger.” Carlin ran their hand over the swords in front of them, then picked one off. “Here.” They held it out to Selene.

“I’m hardly dressed appropriately,” she said, but took it anyway.

Saro sat on one of the stools against the wall. “I’ll keep score, shall I?” he said dryly, as if he’d known this was going to happen.

“I’m afraid I don’t have any training gear in your size,” Carlin said, stepping back out onto the sand. “But if it gives me the advantage…” they smirked.

POWER (Apocalypse AU)

Arlette frowns for all of a second. "My name," she says, reaching out to cup his head in her metal hands, placing her thumbs just under his eyes, "is Timebreaker."

Lysandre gasps as her power suffuses him, arching backwards. His eyes are filmed over with silver, his skin and hair taking on a metallic cast as well.

He wraps his hands around her arms, but Arlette doesn't let go until the whole of him is faintly metallic.

BUZZ (Forget to Fall)

Seb grinned. “So we’re going back to yours after?”

“Ooh, I wouldn’t go that far.” Kari smirked at him. “Already hung out with you for a decent stint, why would I want more?”

“So the party never ends, obviously,” Rolf said. “Duh.”

Katie laughed. “I think it would be nice.”

“See, Katie’s got our back.” Rolf tipped her a wink. “And you can’t say no to her, right?”

Kari checked her phone as it buzzed in her hands. “Sure, then, if you want to spend a needless amount of time on buses.”

DRINK (Forget to Fall)

“That so?” Ifernia raised an eyebrow. “You’re just full of those, aren’t you?”

“Sure.” Kari pulled a can from the bag in her lap. “Dumb films and drinks?”

“This is–” Ifernia took the can, turning it over. “Where did you get this?”

Kari shrugged. “I know where Thornton keeps the booze. Now. Have you got that list of films that Ash wanted you to watch?”

WOOD (Soul of the Party)

Solaris carefully picked splinters from Skren’s hair, looking for the cut.

Skren flinched back just as Solaris’ hand brushed against something that wasn’t wood or skin or hair. “Wait-”

“Are you alright?” Solaris asked. “You don’t – was that ceiling stuck – hey, any of you know healing?” He twisted to look back at the others.

Skren jammed his own hat back over his head. “No, it’s fine, that’s – they’re meant to be there.”

“They’re – what?”

“You’re not human,” Jasper said, joining them, “Are you?”

SHARP (Forget to Fall)

“Go be fancy.” Kari flapped her free hand at him, leaning back so that her arm wasn’t pulled tight between her and Katie. “We’ve got this.”

Seb nodded and sped up in three easy movements, taking a sharp turn towards the centre of the rink.

“Ok. Alright.” Katie nodded. “I think I get it.”

“Rad.” Kari grinned. “You’re doing really good.”

Katie smiled before grabbing tighter at Kari’s hand, stumbling forward. “Oh no-!”

Kari pulled up to counterbalance the almost fall, and Katie spun around into her chest. “Got you.” She hugged Katie to her. “See?”

GLIDE (Apocalypse AU)

She flew low at first, to stay under any radar that Kalos might have off their coast. She didn’t want to be shot down for an unidentified object. But as the sun sets and Kalos vanished from the horizon behind her, she built her wings bigger and flew higher, settling into an easy glide.

There was a school of wailord breaching below her at one point, which gave way to sharpedo and pelipper flocking above their hunt, and at one point Aurora swore she saw a gyarados, but when she dives to see closer it was gone.

GLYPH (Soul of the Party)

“It’s specifically to counteract Soul Magic, it could be a Soul Mage trinket.”

“I’d rather one that didn’t siphon off my own life force to use it.” Solaris shuddered. He’d used Soul Mage trinkets before, and it was an uncomfortable experience.

“And Glyph Mages would make it too darn awkwardly specific and large, probably. So. Charm Witches.” Tadhg clapped his hands and stretched up to look over the crowds that were milling about the thoroughfare.

“I passed by one on my way in,” Solaris said. “This way.”

GLIMPSE (Apocalypse AU)

"Becoming a god does that to a person." Aurora slings her arm over Lysandre's shoulders. "Now, see, what do you think Time can do for you? Grant you eternal life and the memory to go with it?"

Lysandre shrugs her off and steps clear. "Prove it."

Arlette reaches out her hand and taps him in the middle of his forehead. Her eyes flood with silvery-blue light for an instant.

Lysandre stumbles back from her, gasping. "What was that?"

"A glimpse," Arlette says, "of what might be."

Lysandre stares at her with hunger in his eyes.

GLINT (Soul of the Party)

Nuvian bowed to them, taking Abigail’s outstretched hand. “A pleasure.” He had long, dark brown hair that was artfully braided with glinting threads down his back, revealing pointed and pierced ears. His face was youthful, slight lines about his eyes and mouth that looked to be from laughing. He was dressed in sweeping robes of coal grey silk, embroidered with what looked like dragons in silver thread.

Behind him, Rosy rolled her eyes. She was a waif of a girl in a pink slip dress, a shawl about her shoulders, her hair decorated with flowers.

GLEE (The Guardians)

Rhiannon had like the glyphs before she’d known they created magic (which, Razar informs her gleefully, is such a hipster thing to say). She’d just liked the shape of them, the way they said so much in just a few curved or jagged lines.

Ryu (he/they) is a multisexual dragon humanoid with fire and blacksmith/mechanic-esque powers that comes from a poor (but loving) family and therefore hates society and rich ppl (/pos) but realises jewel isn’t like that (also they met in their childhood and when Jewel found out what life was like for commoners that’s when they decided they wanna make a change) also he’s a gamer and is besties with vi and joins the guild for a similar reason to jewel

Fei (she/they) is a POC (with vitiligo) intersex genderfae abroromantic polyamorous elf with flora and earthy powers and is The Mom Friend that joins the guild and they really like fashion and when vi joins the guild she teaches him how to sew bc he’d really like a hoodie and wants it ~personalised~

Felix (he/him) is a bisexual dogboy with lightning powers and is sporty and he’s Fei’s childhood friend and is The Dad Friend/older brother friend (can’t decide) that joins the guild with Fei

Rereading my fic tonight and thinking about all my insecurities about it and then punching all those insecurities in the face bc i already baked the Defense for my stance in things into the story itself. My Quaritch will never be ""ooc"" ooc is Relative and people act differently in different situations and what is considered "ic" for him is being in a position of power. But he is not in a position of power anymore. He is at the mercy of a society he knows next to nothing about, and is also #traumatizedashell. No hes not going to be ballsy and cocky all the time DUH yes hes going to be reclusive and unsure of himself and his actions DUH of course he is going to cry really hard a few times DUH!!!! It would not be!!! a fish out of water story!!! If the fish flopped onto the beach and took a deep, relaxing breath and said "ahhh, i love this fresh air"!!!!!!!

i rly hate emmets team in pokemon. now unfortunately gamefreaks completely forgotten abt him wc fair but liek rly his team is so bad

pokemon rant under the cut

both his doubles and super doubles team is so aaaaaahgg. ofc back then, even ohkos are like so-so (meaning they're not as viable as now duhh. pokemon power creep much?) buuuuut

i wish his crustle ran a shell smash+white herb set instead. why tf does his crustle have earthquake when his first doubles team composes of the crab, klinklang, garbador and durant??? r u aiming on taking urself down??

whyyy does his klinklang have a steel gem instead of the obv choice wc is leftovers? if it's a steel type sp.att that has protect and toxic, then give that guy a regen! steel is one of the best defensive types n the protect rly leads u to believe it'd benefit as a staller, esp if its doubles where bulk would be better for a pokemon rather than power. outlasting ur opponent is esp good!!! u need all the players u can keep in doubles! nice!!

garbodor's coverage is just blergh. nvm the fact that emmet's team doesnt have a ground cover, he should have at least had a dark type-learned move to go against psychic. other than stab venoshock (an iffy choice for a poison move btw), garbodor has psychic and focus blast wc what? what is ur coverage? whats the psychic for? who r u taking down????

and durant is sorta okay. i mean i love durant duh but again,, what is that item? durant's sp.def is non-existent and atp an occa berry aint doing favors against a quad effective flamethrower lmaooo. give it a life orb and milk that speed for all its worth -- since it's the only speedy boy in the team :')

even his super doubles team sucks bc of mold breaker haxorus running earthquake, effectively decimating chandelure, excadrill, and eelektross (srsly what is up with that ground weakness??) also ofc, i dont rly like the held berries against ice moves -either run focus sash or forget abt it already lmaoo- but two dragon moves when they could have had a fighting one instead? (tho the berry may be better than sash ofc bc doubles....)

exca doesnt even have a steel-stab (or a set-up like come on)! chands is fine,,,,

n i love emmets ace, i rly rly do but i could never viably use eelektross ever :'D his set is especially bad bc yyy have gastro acid when just dont use haxorus to begin w? (i forgot if exca also had mold breaker) y waste a turn and a move slot trying to disarm urself? also discharge and thunderbolt are basically the same im crying. eelektross is useless against ground types -the eel didnt rly have access to water moves like aqua tail and liquidation back in gen 5 but grass knot at least?? :') what abt electric-resistant mons too? :'))) its so ironic that a lot of competitive players ignore the eel seeing as eelektross has virtually zero weaknesses hahah

and in almost all of these, none of them are remarkably fast. they have no synergy or visible flow to follow. it's not remarkably suited for doubles --probs bc he shares his team w a singles master. he looks like he's playing two singles battles at the same time instead of taking advantage of the doubles format (smh after all only one pokemon has protect)

now im not rly letting go the hc that ofc emmet's a good battler [even tho it pains me bc i was vocal abt geeta being a subpar champion! n yet my bias prevents me from seeing emmet as the same?? (⁠＠▽＠⁠)] but im just saying maaaybe dont share pokemon w a singles master emmet!?!??!??????

almost all ur pokemon's moves are there for coverage wc hurts the quality of ur double battles bc it's the format where playing slow, steady, and smart wins over opportunistic single matches. run more protects for pete's sake!!! protect is crucial in doubles esp when u have an earthquake team!!!

it's so simple rly bc imagine if eelektross had protect instead of thunderbolt or discharge or whatever

sigh. emmets team sucks. they'll prob not rectify it. gamefreaks never made a good double battler anyway. probs bc doubles is more complicated than singles. ugh.

at least it could then protect itself while the earthquake happens then emmet could wait for the protect to recharge before choosing earthquake again. but ofc they wouldn't do that bc protect barely does anything in singles if you're not stalling for poison (wc ingo most obv is not lmao. n i dont see him pivoting any time soon after all so why waste a slot and a turn for protect in gen 5 singles right????)

COLE!! A Mudwing! It maybe would've made more sense if he was a Nightwing (bc black scales), BUT Mudwings are generally more heavily built, stronger, and are more associated with the earth, so I made him a Mudwing!!!

ZANE!!! An Icewing, kind of? He used to be an ice sculpture that was enchanted by an Icewing Animus (Dr. Julien) to come to life! Bc robots and tech don't exist in the WOF universe, I thought that was a cool way to explain it! :]

LLOYD!!! A Nightwing Animus! There's no naturally green dragons in the WOF universe besides sometimes Seawings who are blue and green, and Rainwings who can change their scales, but those didn't seem like a good fit. Nightwings are kinda spooky and ~mysterious~ so I thought it'd fit well, so I gave him green eyes and green undertones to his black scales. (Also as a Nightwing, he can see into the future)

The basic gist of this AU is that Lloyd, as a kid, keeps having prophetic visions of a group of dragons with elemental powers who will save Pyrrhia from a "great evil". To make things WORSE, his dad, Garmadon, finds out that Lloyd is an Animus, and wants to use him to overthrow the Nightwing Royal Family.

Lloyd realizes that his dad is the "great evil", and runs away to find the rest of the gang. I think he probably meets Kai and Nya, and then Jay and Cole and Zane, who r all together in Possibility (thx @rosiehunterwolf anyway then they stop Garmadon, but not before he accidentally inspires the Nightwing princess, a thin, angry dragonet named Harumi.....

ANYWAY thats all i got for now, idk how or why they have elemental powers, or how Wu works into this or ANYTHING but its fun and just kinda sillayyyy

A class discussion held by Wes about Danny’s weirdness was never not going to be an absolute cluster fuck

Wes smacks the board, “alright, fuckers, thank you for coming-”.

“We’re only here because we lost a bet”.

“Shut up, Dash. You shouldn’t have to be strong-armed into learning the truth”. Everyone rolls their eyes at Wes pretty actively. “Anyway, since you all refuse to see or even listen to the truth of what Danny Fenton is. Instead, this. Weird shit about Danny Fenton one oh one”.

Dash snorts, “now this I can get behind, little shit weighs, like, ten pounds or some shit”. Wes points at him aggressively, “exactly”. Scribbling down ‘weighs less than a sack of potatoes' on the board. Star throwing in her two cents, “yeah and I’ve seen Sam just pick him up under her arm and run off”.

Brittney smacks her desk, “half the time he makes food directly in home ec it’s fucking cold, which ew, but also really weird”.

“Oh yeah he does that with his drinks too. He whole ass ‘drank’ a solid chunk of ice, major power move honestly”.

“And remember that snowball fight? I don’t think he ever actually made any snowballs, he just kept acquiring them”.

“Kid made for a great air conditioner when all the windows got stuck shut though; guy runs cold as fuck”.

Wes is just aggressively scribbling more down with a mildly manic grin.

At first, no one says anything before Star snickers, “pffft”; the entire classroom bursting out into laughter directly afterwards.

Wes turning around and smacking his head on the board once again, “why. Just. Why me”.

i can see her discovering it when she and mal had to stay in novyi zem that one time and absolutely falling in love with it;; she probably has a plan to recreate a ravkan version sometime

i have this random-ass headcanon that he did not like this flavor at first, but after being in a certain circumstance that left mint chocolate ice cream as the only desert option, he grew to like it so much and now it's a found memory of his days as a shipwright's apprentice

in case you didn't know i'm talking about genya safin if you dont want to be friends with her stop reading

she def has a sweet tooth and also she likes to be FANCY therefore this is perfect for her

for the uncultured: mocha is NOT the same as coffee, because mocha has chocolate

the absolute perfect blend of coffee and chocolate into ice cream form

very particular about the ratio of each, has probably even scribbled a plan somewhere in his notes about how to make the perfect ratio for mocha ice cream

Childe has to be the one to get you two to talk to each other constructively about your issues

You’d ignore each other for a bit but unlike Zhongli, Childe would probably apologise first because he feels bad and he’s too smart to lose you over a petty argument

The two of you would go over the argument again to sort it out properly and resolve the issue maturely

Silent while you yell at him, just stares at you with an indecipherable emotion on his face

He just nods and accepts everything you have to say, knowing you need to get it off your chest
